Disclaimer: Zero's weapons, abilities and general portrayal will be near-exclusively using his Zero-Era counterpart; as in his body, weapons and powers from the Mega Man Zero series of games. That being said, the events from the previous chronological titles in the Mega Man X series will be used when needed for scaling and the explanation for contextual information about his story. Considering that this is Zero after all of the events of the X-Series, as Mega Man Zero takes place 100 years after them, this shouldn't be problematic in the slightest.

- Both are cybernetic humanoid beings who's purposes are to battle, and they are skilled in armed combat with practically any weapon they can get their hands on. Both fought in massive wars prior to the events of their series that influence it going forward. They go missing for years until they are re-awakened by a brilliant scientist. During the time of their hibernation, they lost the majority of their past memories, but still retained their incredible fighting skills. Both eventually have to fight to regain them back. They have a first love during their early days who end up dead due to the protagonist's actions. This results in them closing off from the rest of the world for a long period of time. Ultimately, due to the support of another, they regain their lost hope and continue to be the hero they were meant to be. Both have had several "Operators" while in combat in the field, guiding them through communications far away. Their most notable one is a blond girl who becomes their best ally and true friend. The nasty state that the world is in is directly caused by their actions in the past, leading to a dystopian future with one sole ruler, with the rest of the world being near uninhabitable. Both however, work to undo and solve these actions, as ultimately they have moved on from their past selves' actions. Their enemy is an insane human doctor who specializes in keeping themselves alive through science, despite their age. Incidentally, both these doctors were the ones who created the bodies that they currently use.
