Trivia[]

  • Zangief makes a minor appearance in the 2012 animated movie, Wreck-It Ralph, as a member of Bad-Anon, a support group for villains. At the meeting, he spoke about crushing men's skulls between his thighs "like sparrow egg."
    • Despite not being a villain, the reason Zangief attended the Bad-Anon meeting according to writer Phil Johnston is because as a kid he could never get past Zangief's stage so in turn he thought Zangief would feel bad for all the players that couldn't defeat him.
