Introduction[]
Redshock: In the words of Ash Ketchum “I wanna be the very best” And sometimes people take it a little too literally.
Mortician: Especially when they are Martial Arts Prodigy’s, like Yujiro Hanma, father of Baki
Redshock: And Garou, the Hero Hunter from One Punch Man
Yujiro[]
Mortician: Yujiro Hanma comes from one of the longest bloodline’s of powerful men, histories of the Hanma name that have surpassed any person in terms of strength and fear.
Redshock: One of these god fearing men in Yujiro Hanma, Yujiro’s father Yuichiro was a very dangerous man capable of beating anyone to death and his mother Emi had left Yujiro when he was a baby.
Mortician: Dick move especially since she went on to become a monk, it’s unknown what happened to Yujiro but when he was 16 he became a mercenary and fought the American military during the Vietnam War to get this “Develop His Skills”
Redshock: Damn this guy sounds like a badass. He became a merc when he was just 16 while most boys were too busy hiding their browser history by that time. Yujiro grew both literally and legendarily as everyone knew his name, becoming the strongest creature on earth.
Mortician: But Yujiro was so strong he couldn’t find an equal opponent, so his only solution was to knock up a few women and train his heir, and one of those women would birth his strongest son Baki Hanma.
Redshock: Yujiro would train Baki and would fight him at the age of 13. That's right! A 13 year old Baki had to prepare himself to fight the same guy who defeated the American military 3 years older than him.
Mortician: Yujiro was given the nickname The Ogre, not Shrek but he is way deadlier than Mike Myers, he relies on his physical strength over others when fighting. With his time as a Merc, Yujiro became a deadly fighter due to his Bloodline, the Hanma’s can learn entire martial arts or techniques just by watching and constantly improving his skill that he becomes a stronger fighter than the original martial artist.
Redshock: He can cut skin and flesh with the Cord Cut and Whip Strike techniques like his hands are made of razor wire, can use Death Concentration technique which boosts his speed and reflexes, and can knock out his opponents with pressure points. Yeah this dude has everything to stop someone.
Mortician: He can run faster than Hitless Blow which has a confirmed speed of Mach 78, he is tough enough to tank hits from Baki, and can absorb hits and redirect back at the user.
Redshock: But what makes the Hanna’s so dangerous is the Demon Back in which the user very forcefully flexes the back muscles to form the face of a demon. The user becomes many times stronger to their level prior to activation in every aspect, experiencing an increase in physical strength, speed, endurance, and stamina.
Mortician: The user can virtually absorb any hit, such as when Yujirou Hanma ceased taking damage from Kaku Kaiou's Offensive Xiaoli strikes, which normally produce enough force to shatter walls.
Redshock: But his strongest feat is stopping an earthquake with a single punch, seriously this guy is like a Devil incarnate how can anyone beat him.
Mortician: Well Yujiro does have some faults, he is very arrogant and is thrilled by the thought of a good fight, but this doesn't make him foolhardy. He tends to not counter with the opponent's mastered arts because he considers it to be rude.
Redshock: But all that said, Yujiro is one man you don’t want to face, you see this guy towering over you with his beady red eyes, run just run, cause there's no chance you're gonna walk out of that fight alive.
Yujiro: “Only by death is a true warrior defeated”.
Garou[]
Mortician: In the world of One Punch Man superpowered beings are quite common with powers created either being born with or created. There really is no limit on being a Hero or a Villain
Redshock: So to handle the constant growth of villains the world wide governments created an entire Hero Association that administrates thousands of different heroes to be dispatched all over the world.
Mortician: And in Japan it’s just as dangerous, they have giant fish people, mutant tentacle creatures, and aliens on a day to day basis the civilians had to deal with while the Heroes had to stop them like Saitama and Genos.
Redshock: And being a hero has the perks, you get money, fame, endorsements whatever you want. But what if someone wanted to knock those heroes down a peg, enter Garou.
Mortician: Garou was just a simple kid who loved being the villain whenever he played with other kids in school, but like always the hero always beats the Villain and was constantly bullied because of this.
Redshock: But Garou learned that he had to become a monster in order to beat the hero, but he didn’t possess any superpowers or technological advancements like other heroes, he was just a weak little boy who wanted to be the bad guy.
Mortician: To accomplish his life goal he sought after the legendary hero Bang who was also the #3 Hero and a badass martial artist. Garou would learn the ways of Bang’s teachings of The Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist, which uses inspirations of Tai Chi, and two forms of Chinese Kung Fu: Xing Yi Quan and Baguazhang.
Redshock: Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist is a very advanced martial art that only very few can master, it focuses on powerful strikes, lightning fast movements, and a pressure point system to attack the human body, if anyone was lucky and skilled enough with this style they would become one of the strongest fighters in the world.
Mortician: With this mouthful of a fighting style, Garou’s skill had allowed him to learn and improvise many techniques including other martial arts like the Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist, and the Exploding Heart Release Fist a former favorite of Bang’s.
Redshock: With his new found Martial Art skill, Garou left Bang’s dojo after beating his students into submission or didn’t participate due to fear Bang had to kick the crap out of Garou to get him to leave.
Mortician: So Garou took this opportunity to start hunting down Heroes, when he was 18 he took down several S-Rank Heroes, the highest number a hero could reach, like Tank Top Master who could defeat monsters strong enough to throw buildings around with one hand.
Redshock: After fighting for awhile, his body began to change, he grew stronger and would eventually become way stronger than before passing his limits and evolved into something better this is his Reactive Evolution.
Mortician: With his new Reactive Evolution, Garou becomes a dangerous weapon, he can tank mental attacks from Tatsumaki, heat resistance from Orochi and regrow and heal wounds in an instant.
Redshock: With all of his insane powers and Abilities Garou would intentionally prolong fights to become stronger, and his was designed to fight humans but does not teach him how to fight non-humanoid opponents.
Mortician: But Garou is without a doubt one of the strongest characters of One Punch Man be it as a human or monster, Garou won’t stop in becoming strong enough to end any hero in his way.
Garou: “The scarier the better. Don’t you think scary is cool?”.
Death Battle[]
Prologue[]
In a large fight put in the underground criminal world in Tokyo, an announcer standing in the middle announces the headlining fight “Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a special treat for you tonight as two goliaths of the Martial Arts world are here for your entertainment!”. The crowd roars.
“In the first corner at 6'3 and weighing 265 pounds, The Ogre of Japan, and freelance mercenary Yujiro Hanma!”. Yujiro was standing against looking forward to an entertaining match as he saw Garou itching for a fight “And in the other corner at 5’9 and weighing 154 pounds, the Hero Hunter and martial arts prodigy Garou!”. The two fighters stood across from each other as the announcer spoke between them “Alright you two no rules, no mercy, two coke in one leaves you two understand”. Garou says “Whatever grandpa here isn’t gonna make it far anyway he should’ve quit when he walked in”. Yujiro grinned “Oh I don’t think so shrimp”.
They both took a few steps back as the announcer yelled as he got to safety.
“FIGHT!”[]
Garou dashes at Yujiro but Yujiro whacks Garou across the face, sending him flying. Thinking the fight is already done, he goes to leave, but Garou gets back up like that hit didn’t phase him. Garou, becoming more cautious, keeps light on his feet and starts dancing around Yujiro striking him from different angles, but can’t even bruise him. Yujiro goes in to punch him, as Garou uses Fist of Flowing Water: Crushed Rock, making a full counter of Yujiro’s attack and redirecting it to him and sending Yujiro flying across the stadium.
Yujiro stood up but couldn’t help himself but laughed, he was now impressed, as few have managed to knock him off his feet. Garou, doesn’t let up though and goes in to follow up with a kick, that Yujiro however casually blocks with his hand and grabbing Garou’s leg, and slamming him into the ground. Garou is dazed for a moment, but uses Watchdog Man’s movements to evade another hit. Garou then resorts to hit and run tactics, jumping around with Watchdog Man’s movement, while using Fists of Flowing Water: Crushed Rock to attack and counter, while also studying Yujiro’s attacks and behavior, quickly becoming aware of their immense physical differences. Yujiro in the meantime is studying Garou, while blocking and striking at Garou in an amused and calm manner.
In a burst of speed, Yujiro dashes towards Garou, making Garou realize he’s outmatched in every way. He braces for the attack and gets knocked back a few feet as Yujiro makes his way to him to see if the Hero Hunter is still kicking. Garou gets up by striking the ground, using Tank Top Blow, however Yujiro counters with a quick stomp of his feet, sending out tremors twice as strong, shaking the entire arena and also canceling Garou’s attack, and causing the ground underneath the Hero Hunter to start buckling.
With a burst of speed and unpredictable movements, he lands a solid and powerful elbow strike to Yujiro’s face, unleashing then a flurry of strikes, which Yujiro tanks, not without taking damage however. Yujiro then grapples Garou and throws him to the ground, and then puts a foot on his back and starts With a zero inch punch, he makes a Tank Top Blow, causing Yuujiro’s footing to loosen, and Garou uses the opportunity and squeezes out from underneath the Ogre’s foot and with a jump flimp, still being held by Yujiro, he makes an Axe kick to Yujiro’s neck, dealing significant damage.
Yujiro angrily throws Garou away to the nearest wall of yeh arena as he activates his Demon Back and goes into Garou’s Fighting stance, To his surprise, the Ogre has indeed mastered it, and is showering him with blows of high precision and power. Garou barely manages to block and dodge them, and the glancing blows shake his body to the core. Garou finds an opening and launches a flurry of counter attacks, but Yujiro tanks them, laughing it off and while striking Garou however makes a full counter, knocking Yujiro back for the second time.
Yuujiro goes to attack Garou, but is able to predict every one of his attacks, evading Yujiro, and hitting him with quick attacks. They don’t hurt the Ogre much, but they slowly wear him down. Yujiro decided to stop holding back. Yujiro strikes the ground, causing the earth to turn over, causing the arena walls and ground to crumble away. Yujiro and Garou dash to one another, each striking at blinding speeds, deflecting strikes and learning about their opponent. Yujiro comes out on top, striking Garou’s arm, which gives in due to the force of the blow and striking Garou’s face as flesh, blood and teeth are sprayed around as Garou is sent flying.
As Garou stands up, he sees his broken arm hanging down, held together by his muscle and skin. Holding the arm in place, and tightening all the arm muscles, the arm takes shape and remains somewhat functional. Yujiro at that moment comes in with a tackle, which Garou can’t avoid. He gets slammed into the ground. Before Yuujiro can follow up, Garou escapes and stomps and uses Awakening Breath, awaiting Yujiro, who notices Garou’s change. He stomps a little ways away from Garou. As the Ogre launches his attack, Garou offers no resistance, instead combining the redirection and the defensive and offensive power, delivering a blow that even Yujiro doesn’t walk away from so easily. With a frontal kick, Yujiro spits out blood, as he feels one of his ribs crack. He’s launched far away and crashes onto the ground.
Yujiro gets back up as Garou and Yuujiro approach each other to engage again, except with a burst of speed, Yujiro surprises Garou, grappling him again, and using Dress. Garou uses Shaorii to disperse the impact against the ground, but the blood rushing to his head makes him pass out. As he falls unconscious, his inner Monster awakens, and a surge of strength frees him from the grip of the Ogre. Garou then unleashes a volley of unpredictable attacks, forcing Yujiro to block, but he notices that the power of the attacks has increased to the point that he feels his bones vibrate from the impact of Garou’s strikes. So he uses Shaorii to diffuse the blows, allowing them to seemingly pass through him, as he waits for the right moment to strike.
As Garou comes with a right hook, Yujiro tries to counter the attack, launching Garou into the ground, legs up in the air. Thinking he has won again and goes to leave, Garou gets his head out of the ground and is conscious again. He turns to Garou where Yujiro uses Aiki to knock Garous attack back into him, and then with a slam from above, knocks Garou into the ground, while shattering the ground once again.
The monsterized Hero Hunter gets up rather unfazed, cracking his neck, his muscles growing bigger, to the point that they match Yujiro’s, even copying his demon back, in one hand he uses his self-styled martial arts, comprised of FoFW:CR and Shaorii, and in the other, he uses Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist, unleashing a combo on the Ogre, which he cannot stop. Every attack he blocks slips past his defense and hits him, every attempted dodge is a waste of time, and any attempt to attack is countered with 4x the intensity. Yujiro Hanma doesn’t have the time to copy Garou’s own put together style and gets beaten down and cut up. Until Garou beats Yujiro into a bloody pulp and uppercuts his head, exploding his head like a grenade went off. “Holy Hell what a finish to this fight, Your Winner Garou!”.
KO!
Results[]
Redshock: What a hell of a beat down looks like Baki doesn’t need to worry about his dear old daddy anymore
Mortician: Both fighters were geniuses, as both can copy martial arts at first glance, with Yujiro being the more physical advantage over him, being stronger and tougher, maybe even faster.
Redshock: But Garou had a much stronger advantage over him, everytime Garou loses he gets stronger, becoming a stronger opponent against Yujiro than before.
Mortician: Garou did get the crap kicked out of him at first but as soon as he transformed he creates his own blend of martial arts then, gets a great boost to physical stats, heals and adapts quicker than Yujiro could handle
Redshock: And while Yujiro likes to toy with his opponents Garou’s learning becomes also more than supernatural once he is part monster, as he can use techniques he has only glanced at for a moment in a book. Not to mention copy complex combinations of different techniques, such as the combination of Bomb and Bang.
Redshock: With Garou’s Adaptability, Faster Body Reading, and Powerful Evolutions It may have taken more than One Punch, Man, but Garou proved why he is one unstoppable killing machine.
Mortician: The Winner is Garou!
