Powers And Abilities[]

Fighting Techniques[]

  • Axe Kick: Yujiro raises his leg higher than his opponent's head and pulls it down quickly like an axe, It is also used to strike the opponent's head, shoulders and/or nose. This is a technique Yujiro commonly uses.
  • Roll Kick: Yujiro leaps towards his opponent and turns his body to deliver a strong spin kick
  • Death Concentration: This technique boosts Yujiro's speed and reflexes when he's in a situation that could kill him, he personally described the skill in this way: "The moment only comes when you are about to meet death, but if you are able to control every moment, you will be able to control death, and that is where true strength hides".
  • Udonde: The Udonde is a a secret fighting technique that was passed down exclusively between the sons of the Ryukyu Royal Family. At first glance the user makes a stance that looks open to attacks, then he starts to walk towards his opponents, By the time the opponent performs an attack the user uses his reflexes to instantly counter it. Yujiro is so far the only one in the series to have used the technique.
  • Finger-Grab: Yujiro grabs one of his opponent's fingers and throws them.
  • Demon Back: The Demon Back is Yujiro's signature ''technique'' in which he forcefully flexes his back to resemble that of a demon's face. Yujiro becomes many times stronger to their level prior to activation in every aspect imaginable, such as physical strength, speed, durability, stamina, etc. Similar to Defensive Xiao-Lee, Yujiro can absorb virtually any hit, in turn he can also dish massive amounts of damage. In truth, the Demon Back is not so much a technique as it is a predetermined advantage such as height and muscle capacity. Since it's a gift exclusive to members possesing the Hanma genetics and bloodline (Which specifically refers to Baki and Yuichiro). However it can still be viewed as a technique as it is only activated when the user decides to use it.
  • Bite: The name speaks for itself.
  • Crotch Kick: The Crotch Kick is a powerful blow from the Vale Tudo which is intended to damage man's most vulerable and sensitive organ: The testicles. The technique is useful in exposing an opponent's next attack or to escape a grip.
  • Front Neck-Lock: By getting his opponent in a Guillotine Lock while standing in front of them. Yujiro then pulls his arms up and leans back, restricting the opponent's airway and blocking the blood flow to the brain, causing the opponent to eventually lose consciousness.
  • Nukite: Yujiro uses his hand (excluding his thumb) to thrust into his opponent's body like a spear. He once used this technique to bleed dry a deer.
  • Vietnam Whip: By wrapping his arms around and underneath one of the arms of his opponent. Yujiro flips the opponent on his head, smashing them downwards, causing significant damage to the skull and/or neck, even possibly resulting in a concussion or a spinal break.
  • Defensive Xiao-Lee: Defensive Shaori is a form of bodily control that allows the user to present zero resistance to oncoming blow. This makes Yujiro's body featherlike. It also produces hyposthenia, which allows him to absorb all of his attacker's body weight. With that in mind, Yujiro becomes unable take take damage from punches, kicks or slashes. The technique does have flaws though, due to the user stiffening their instincts, they can be taken off guard and they're still vulnerable to throws or slams against surfaces. Yujiro can also use this ability of ultimate body relaxation in another way, by using that force against his opponent. This is known as Offensive Shaori.
  • Aiki: Aiki is a Japanese martial arts principle or tactic in which the defender blends (without clashing) with the attacker, then goes on to dominate the assailant through the strength of their application of internal dynamics or Ki energy to affect techniques. Blending with an attacker's movements allows Yujiro to control the actions of his opponent with minimal effort.
  • Pinch: A very simple technique, Yujiro uses his fingers to squeeze a piece of his opponent's body.
  • Whip Strike: The Whip Strike is a technique that involves Yujiro making his body as loose and as fluid as possible, allowing him to use his arms like whips, enabling him to perform powerful ''slaps'' which affect the human's largest organ: The Skin. The techinique is so devastatingly painful that it's capable of rending an opponent's skin off and will (almost) always cause them to cry out in agony. Since the whole body is covered by skin, the Whip Strike has the same effect regardless of where it's hit on the body and it doesn't even matter how tough or thick the opponent's skin may be. Yujiro and Baki rarely use this technique, because they claim that it's only good for women and children, not a skill for men because ''real men don't slap''.
  • 0.5 Second Unconscious: The technique refers to the book of Tor Nørretranders. In this book Tor Nørretranders states that people are triggered half a second earlier than the brain orders to move. For example, a knife is flying towards some person. That person is triggered but still unconscious. 0.5 second later the orders to move and the action comes. That means between when the person is triggered and when become conscious. The person is unconscious for half a second and people can beat that person as much as they like during that timeframe. It's almost a moment of invisibility.
  • Dress: This is an incredibly unique fighting style. This method of combat centers around Yujiro grapping the opponent by their wrists or ankles before spinning them around like a pair of nunchucks, The speed in which the opponent is spun gives the illusion of a cloak being formed around the user hence the reason why the technique is called ''dress''. The victim can be used as a weapon to attack other opponents or Yujiro can simply damage the victim by smashing them against objects. Due to the centrifugal force, the victim usually starts bleeding from their eyes, nose, eyes and mouth. This technique was also used by Yujiro's father Yuichiro Hanma when he single-handedly fought and won against the US Navy during World War 2.
  • Likely More: Due to knowing every martial art on Earth as well as being arguably the most skilled fighter in the series. It's likely Yujiro knows every technique in the series, but due to his reluctance to use techniques due to viewing them as ''tricks for the weak''. He has yet to show knowing any other techniques than what is listed above.
