Wiz: The fate of all history rests on their shoulders, for if they fail even one mission, the whole of the past, present, and future may collapse under their feet.
Boomstick: No pressure guys, but today we’re gonna see who’s the strongest guardian of reality.
Wiz: Xeno Trunks, Dragon Ball’s timeline protecting Super Saiyan.
Boomstick: Arthur Pendragon, the Nausverse’s guardian Saber Servant.
Boomstick: He’s Wiz and I’m Boomstick!
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win... a Death Battle.
Xeno Trunks[]
(Queue Dragon Ball Z: Budokai - A Hero's Desperation)
Wiz: The year is 763, an age of peace on Earth thanks to the efforts of the Super Saiyan, Son Goku, who defeated the Galactic Tyrant Frieza and brought peace not only to Earth, but the whole of the galaxy. That was, until Frieza returned, now a cyborg, and with his father alongside him. With Goku nowhere to be seen, the world seemed to be approaching its darkest hour…
Boomstick: Until, a mysterious youth appeared and dispatched on Frieza and his daddy with some sick ass sword skills. Ladies and gentlemen, it’s everyone’s favorite Time traveler, Future Trunks. That’s right, Vegeta and Bulma’s son from the future had come back to warn everyone about the impending bad future looming on the horizon thanks to two evil Androids.
Wiz: Three years and a very messy, editorial influenced heavy saga later, Trunks returned to the future and defeated the dastardly Android duo, as well as the insidious Cell, bringing peace to his world once more. But for one version of Trunks in particular, that’s where things started to get quite different.
Boomstick: One day, while Trunks was just minding his own business, he was abducted by the Supreme Kai of Time. Turns out, he’d broken a cosmic law of the universe by using a Time Machine to create that new timeline we all know as the main Dragon Ball timeline, so in order to pay for his time crimes, pinky here made Trunks into her number one employee at the Time Patrol!
Wiz: As a Time Patroller, Trunks is tasked with traveling across time and space solving distortions and anomalies in time, ensuring history plays out per its proper course. He can freely, and now safely, travel through time without creating branches in time using his Time Travel Armband, letting him move from any Dragon Ball timeline. He could go from Super to GT, or from something like the Legendary Super Saiyan Broly movie to Yo Son Goku and his Friends return.
Boomstick: And he can defeat any manner of movie villains and whatever with his Saiyan physiology. Being half-Saiyan, Trunks is naturally stronger than humans, and a prodigy in ki control and combat. Bro can fly, shoot laser beams from his hands, and is a master with a sword, so much so that he has a habit of slicing and dicing dudes, from Frieza and all those terrible movie villains like Bojak and Bio-Broly.
Wiz: And he can assume the golden form of the Legendary Super Saiyan, granting him a 50 times multiplier over his base form. It’s the perfect form to protect the whole multiverse with, especially with its ascended variants like Super Saiyan 2 or even Super Saiyan 3.
Boomstick: Plus you know Trunks has his usual assortment of ki techniques, like his trademark Burning Attack and Heat Dome Attack, plus Gohan’s Masenko and his dad’s Galick Gun and legendary Final Flash. He even learnt how to do the legendary Kamehameha, which no doubt pisses off dear old daddy.
Wiz: Trunks also happens to be a big fan of the “Super Dragon Ball Heroes” Arcade game, which itself serves as another safe method of Time Traveling. So, he personally got a Hero Switch, a bracelet that can be used to both enter the Arcade Game, as well as summon facsimiles of other powerful Dragon Ball warriors like Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker Goku, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Controlled Berserk Vegeta, and Beast Gohan.
Boomstick: Yeah, there's all sorts of insanely strong dudes out there in the Xenoverse, and as the number one Time Patroller, Trunks had to keep up with the rest of them. So, he performed the divine Saiyan ritual and achieved the form of Super Saiyan God. Now that he’s a redhead, Trunks can heal minor wounds and has access to Godly Ki, which lets him keep up with guys like Sealas and Demigra, guys who could destroy whole universes with their full power.
Wiz: He’s even several times faster and stronger then the main timeline Goku, who could fly to hell in seconds and nearly destroy the universe with the shockwaves of his punches in the Super Saiyan God form. Trunks’ godly form also proved to be the perfect form to battle the Demon King Mechikabura, who was so powerful he could consume all of time and space, past present and future. Even Super Saiyan 4 Vegito couldn’t defeat him.
(Queue Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 - Become Villainous)
Boomstick: But with the power of Super Saiyan God, Trunks was able to use the one weapon that could defeat him; the Key Sword. Once its power is fully awakened, it can straight up turn off people’s powers and transformations, and summon the ETERNAL TIME LABYRINTH!!!! Ah, I love saying that.
Wiz: It cannot be understated how strong Mechikabura was. When we said he consumed all of history, it included the original Dragon Ball/DragonBall Z, the respective split timelines leading to Super and GT, the branched timelines containing Trunks’ future and the various Dragon Ball and Z movies, and dozens of hundreds of infinite smaller branched timelines. He, for all intensive purposes, erased the infinity that is time itself. And the Keysword defeated him. In one shot.
Boomstick: Holy hell, don’t fuck with Trunks. He can keep up with guys like Mira, who’s raw power can overpower Chronoa stopping time around him, and has battled other end of the Xenoverse tier enemies like Fu, Hearts, and Charmel.
Wiz: Chamel.
Boomstick: That’s what I said.
Wiz: Well, for all his accomplishments, Trunks is not a perfect fighter. His normal sword is prone to breaking like, all the time, and his ki reserves are not infinite. If he uses too much power, he can burn himself out.
Boomstick: But when you've got enough power to destroy a universe and contend with dudes threatening the concept of existence itself, you’re bound to have a lot of stamina. It doesn’t matter where or when, Trunks is always going to be there to make sure anyone trying to break time fails miserably.
Trunks: "I promise you, Master; A peaceful future and a future of the past that you couldn't protect... I will protect every history."
Proto Saber[]
(Queue Fate/Prototype - Knight of Sky Silver)
Wiz: The year is 1991, and the first Tokyo Holy Grail War is about to commence. The seven masters had summoned their Heroic Spirits, and the war seemed to be underway as it normally would be. But there was a dark plan lurking deep beneath it, for the Manaka Sajyou planned to sacrifice dozens of innocent souls to instead summon a Beast of Humanity and so she may forever keep Saber as her lover.
Boomstick: But Saber said "Fuck no!" to that and killed Manaka, tossing her into the Holy Grail and destroying the Beast with a blast of light from his Holy Sword. That's right, Manaka's Saber Servant is none other than the King of Knights himself, Arthur Pendragon, the hero of the Arthurian mythos who wanted to change the fate of Britain with the Holy Grail, but gave up on them when he realized the Grail was basically a monkey's paw.
Wiz: Eight years later in 1999, Manaka's sister Ayaka summoned Saber and the two of them set out to win the second Holy Grail War. But surprise, Manaka was still alive, and ready to incarnate the Beast IV yet again, this time stopped by the combined efforts of Arthur, Cú Chulainn, and Gilgamesh. But as Arthur was ready to depart the human world and arrive in Avalon, someone had arrived there to stop him.
Boomstick: Lady Merlin over here warned Arthur that when he defeated Beast VI, it actually split into two halves and escaped to the far off reaches of the multiverse, and if Arthur wanted to finally rest in Avalon, he’d have to destroy the Left and Right halves of Beast VI first and So, after Merlin granted him an unknown ability to travel across worlds, Arthur out to travel the Nasuverse in search of these missing Beasts and put an end to them once and for all.
Wiz: And given that he’s literally King Arthur, he was most certainly the most skilled one to do so. In battle Arthur mainly wields what appears to be an invisible sword of air known as Invisible Air. While it’s only a C Rank Noble Phantasm, it can still prove to be a difficult weapon to counter due to granting Arthur aerokinetic abilities. With it, he can launch blasts of winds to propel himself through the air, or create minute wind vortexes.
Boomstick: Plus, have you ever tried fighting an invisible sword!? That shit sucks! You have to be, like, insanely skilled to be able to judge the length and position of a sword you can’t see! Luckily for Arthur, he is quite the skilled swordsman thanks to his Ranked A Instinct Skill.
Wiz: Many of a Heroic Spirit’s natural abilities are often represented by “Skills”, either personal skills unique to them or more general skills that their entire class possesses. Arthur’s Instinct skill then represents his skill not only as a fighter, but the ability to instantly identify the best personal course of action” during combat. It can allow him to effortlessly dodge almost any form of attack, from firearms to, say, an unavoidable blow like Sasaki Kojirou’s Tsubame Gaeshi or Cu Chulainn’s Gae Bolg.
Boomstick: The Magic Resistance Skill represents how hard it is for mana based and magical attacks to harm him, and his Rank A, only the strongest spells are gonna be dealing any type of serious damage to him, while his B Rank Riding Skill let’s him effortlessly ride any sort of vehicle. It could be a horse, a motorcycle, or even a jetliner! And as a bonus, the Lady of the Lake gave Arthur the blessing to walk on water, because why not.
Wiz: But arguably Arthur’s most important skill is Mana Burst, the act of transferring magical energy throughout one’s weapon or even their entire body before instantly expelling it. This allows Arthur to boost both his physical speed and strength, as well as unleash explosive blasts of mana from his sacred sword-
Boomstick: Excalibur! Just one blast from this legendary blade would have most Heroic Spirits on their knees begging for mercy, but when there’s a serious threat to the safety of the world, Arthur can release the seals of the sword to invoke its name and annihilate anything in his path.
Wiz: Well, he can’t always release all of the 13 seals, as they each have different requirements depending on the context of the fight relating to the Knights of the Round Table. That said, releasing at least six or seven seals allows for Arthur to invoke Excalibur’s true name, with every additional seal released further amplifying the power of Excalibur. These same restraints also apply to Arthur’s spear, Rhongomyniad, the spear Arthur used to kill his Uncle Vortigern after the latter had transformed into a Dragon, and later his son Mordred at the battle of Camalan. Not only is the unrestrained Rhongomyniad equal to Excalibur once it’s been unsealed, the holy spear is responsible for holding together the fabric of reality itself.
Boomstick: I’m sorry, WHAT!?
Wiz: Rhongomyniad is a Divine Construct, like Excalibur, that exists as a pillar of light that guards the stability of the world itself, keeping the balance of reality and the reverse side of the world anchored together, and the spear used by Arthur is but a facet of Rhongomyniad’s true nature. There have been numerous instances of alternate variants of Artoria Pendragon, Arthur’s genderbent counterpart from the main Nasuverse timeline, using Rhongomyniad as both an anchor to stabilize an alternate human history, or as a weapon to wipe away an entire universe.
(Queue Fate/Grand Order - GRAND BATTLE 3)
Boomstick: Well shit, that’s pretty powerful! Especially when even without it, Arthur could go toe to toe with Lancers like Brynhildr, who at full power could go toe to toe with Surtr, a higher dimensional god unbound by time who was going to cause the Ragnarok of the Nine realms!
Wiz: Crazy as it may seem, Arthur himself has even fought similar monsters in the form of Beast IV/S, the Whore of Babylon in the branching timeline of FGO Arcade. Here, the Whore of Babylon, or Draco as she’s also called, had surpassed the existence of Beast 1, Goetia, and was going to consume all of human history, past, present, and future across all reality. Goetia, who had been surpassed by Draco, was said to have the power of “hundreds of millions of Excaliburs” that could lay waste of all of human history across all time and space, including the worlds of Fate/Stay Night, Tshikhime, Kara No Kyoukai, Mahoyo, and even Fate Extra, and surpassed Beast III/R, Kiara, who could control the infinite multiverse of the 8th dimensional Moon Cell.
Boomstick: That's how strong Draco was. She was above the guy who was practically above existence itself, but Arthur’s Excalibur still cut her down to size. Man, they aren’t lying, it really is a sword that ensured victory.
Wiz: Well, Arthur does technically have one serious weakness in that he must supply the mana to power Excalibur and Rhongomyniad himself, so it’s technically possible for him to exhaust himself and run out of mana, but due to being born with the Heart of a Red Dragon that serves as a Magical Reactor Core far more powerful than an ordinary human and allows him to generate mana simply by breathing, that’s not really an issue for him.
Boomstick: So he’s pretty much unstoppable. Sounds about right given he’s literally King fuckin Arthur, the ideal hero of human history. He even settled down at Chaldea for a while, the guys who basically watch over the safety of pretty much the entire Nasuverse.
Wiz: So let all those who threaten the order of human history beware, for he who embodies the everdistant dream of peace will always be there to stand for the safety of humanity, representing the dream that all heroes aspire too.
Arthur: "I too have committed a grave error. You and the Grail are insane!"
Pre-Fight[]
Wiz: Alright the combatants are set and we’ve run the data through all possibilities.
Boomstick: It’s time for a DEATH BATTLE!!
Death Battle![]
// FUYUKI CITY - 2004 \\
(Queue Fate/Grand Order - Familiar Melody)
A cool fall breeze blows through the air of Fuyuki City as the city’s denizens go about their day, cars passing by on the busy streets while people walk along the sidewalks. Among the denizens of the city however, is someone out of place, not of this world. A traveler, blending into his surroundings in a normal, casual outfit, that being Sir Arthur Pendragon, the former King of Camelot.
As Arthur breaks off from the crowd he was walking with and arrives down at the pass giving him a view of the Fuyuki bridge, the former King turned Heroic Spirit raised a styrofoam cup of coffee to his lips and took a sip of the drink as he looked out over the river the city’s mighty bridge resided over. His hunt for the halves of Beast IV remained inconclusive, and so he had temporality departed Chaldea to continue his search. The world he was currently in appeared like a place that the beast would have manifested, but he found no trace of it, or the Holy Grail.
Taking another sip from the coffee cup he had acquired, Arthur noticed out of the corner of his eye two people who he could feel were most certainly Mages passing by, a boy with short, orange hair, and a girl with long raven black hair. As he turned to go approach the duo and inquire information from them, he suddenly felt his instinct skill blare to life, and his reflexes kicked in as he leaped backwards to avoid a golden blast of mana from striking him.
(Queue Sonic the Hedgehog - Tension: Silver vs Shadow)
In a sudden impact, a man with long, lavender purple hair wearing a dark black coat landed before Arthur, standing where the man had once stood. He carried a dangerous aura about him, and a sheath containing a sword rested on the man’s back. To Arthur, it was someone he’d never seen before, but others would know him as Trunks Briefs, the son of Prince Vegeta.
Trunks: I finally found you. You’re a hard man to pin down.
Arthur: What business have you with me that would lead you to attack me, warrior?
Trunks: Arthur Pendragon, my name is Trunks, and you’re under arrest for unsanctioned traversal across differing timelines.
Arthur: Are you mad? The Beast IV is not-
Trunks: The Time Patrol will handle Beast IV. You need to come with me, the Supreme Kai of Time will have a word with you.
As Trunks began to step forwards however, a flash of light suddenly surrounded Arthur, and the man’s casual attire was replaced by his blue and silver armor, and a mysterious aura of winder in the vague shape of a sword appeared around his hands. Raising Invisible Air, Arthur’s eyes narrowed at his new opponent.
Arthur: Apologies, Sir Trunks, but no one but I can defeat the Beast. If you aim to stop me, then I must defeat you.
Trunks: …fine. Have it your way.
Giving a heavy sigh, Trunks drew the Brave Sword from his back and clutched its hilt in both hands as he locked eyes with Arthur, and the two prepared to engage with each other.
(Queue Fate/Grand Order - Clashing Souls)
In a flash, Trunks launched forwards and swung the Brave Sword horizontally, and Arthur quickly raised his blade to clash against it and deflect the attack. Trunks staggered slightly, but then raised his sword overhead and brought it down onto Arthur, only for the Saber Servant to again block the attack with his invisible blade.
Trunks: An invisible sword?
Pushing his moment of advantage, Arthur made a quick slash at Trunks to put him on the defensive before striking twice more with his sword, Trunks swinging his sword again to block both strikes before raising his sword again to block a third attack. Except this time, Arthur’s invisible sword glows and, upon contact with the Brave Sword, releases a small Mana Burst that blasts Trunks’ sword straight out of his hands, causing it to fly through the air and stab straight into the ground behind him.
Gasping at his sudden disarming, Trunks quickly leaped backwards to avoid being cut down by Arthur’s sword and let Ki flow into his hands, firing out two Ki Blasts that Arthur quickly deflected with simple swings of his sword. Letting out a slight yell, Trunks pressed his current option and decided to use his father’s technique, firing out a continuous volley of ki blasts at Arthur to quickly overwhelm the Knight. A testament to his instincts however, Arthur quickly and continuously deflected each and every ki blast coming his way, sending them all flying off into the sky.
Suddenly, Trunks performed a series of rapid movements with his hands before pointing both his palms out at Arthur, firing the Burning Attack out at the King of Knights. Like before, Arthur swung his sword to deflect the attack, but when his sword made contact with the ki blast it instead exploded in his face and sent Arthur flying backwards through the air, out across the river. Launching out after Arthur, Trunks suddenly flashed into Super Saiyan to press his advantage and not waste time, he got right up in Arthur’s face and punched him in the stomach with his right hand, sending him flying further up into the air.
Trunks: Let’s see if you can take this!
Pursuing Arthur more, Trunks again punched him in the gut, this time with his left hand, before unleashing a furious barrage of powerful punches aimed at his face and chest. When the rush of attacks finally ended, Trunks then unleashed two more punches before performing a front flip and hit Arthur with a double axe handle to send him flying downwards towards the river below.
But Arthur recomposed himself, landing on the river’s surface and firmly planting his feet atop the water as he raised his left hand, wiping the blood dripping from his lip before looking upwards to see a powerful purple aura surrounding Trunks.
Trunks: GALICK…
Arthur: Ngh!
Realizing the power of the incoming attack, Arthur raised his sword and dispelled Invisible Air, revealing the sealed form of Excalibur, the sword of Promised Victory, and tightly clutched it’s handle with both of his hands.
Arthur: Seal Thirteen, Decision start!
Proto Merlin: ”Approved. Bedivere, Palamedes, Gareth, Lancelot, Galahad, Kay.”
Arthur: This is a battle to save the world.
Proto Merlin: “Arthur.”
Seven of the seals vanished, and Excalibur’s true form was revealed, glowing golden as it swirled with mana and unleashed a bright light as Arthur brought the sword down, and then quickly swung it upwards to fire the golden beam of light at Trunks.
Arthur: EXCALIBUR!!
And in response, Trunks fired his father’s trademark technique down at Arthur in response to the Knight’s Noble Phantasm.
Trunks: GUNNNN!!!!
The two beams clashed in the air, sparks flying as the two attacks struggled against each other, Trunks pushing down against Excalibur’s beam while Arthur remained steadfast in the strength of his attack, and as a result the two collision between the beams flashed in the sky for all who happened to be there to see. But Arthur smirked slightly as he adjusted the position of his blade, veering Excalibur’s beaming to the side to angle both it, and Trunk’s Galick Gun, off to the side and out into the skyline.
Then, he lowered Excalibur down towards the water he was standing on, and ignited Invisible Air again to start creating a vortex of wind that scooped up the water and thrusted his sword upwards as he blasts the wind cannon outwards, sending the river’s water flying through the air aimed directly at Trunks. Drawing his hand back, Trunks fired a beam of Ki at the water to dispel it, but at the cost of leaving himself open as he momentarily couldn’t see anything. But that was exactly what Arthur was hoping he would do.
Kneeling down, Arthur activated Mana Burst as he jumped and propelled himself through the air, sending himself flying across the skyline and slamming into Trunks shoulder first before hitting the half-Saiyan in the side with his Holy Sword, followed by activating Mana Burst to blast Trunks back downwards towards the ground. Trunks grunted as his golden aura flared to life, and he took off flying towards where his Brave Sword was stuck in the ground. Pulling the sword out of the ground, Trunks spun around just in time to clash against a strike from Excalibur, sparks flying out as the steels of their blades clashed.
Arthur: You’re not half bad with a blade, Sir Trunks.
Trunks: Ngh- thanks, I suppose!
As Trunks staggered back from being physically overpowered, he quickly backflipped away and sheathed his sword, firing a Buster Cannon that pushed Arthur backwards and caused him to stagger for a moment, giving Trunks a chance to activate his Time Travel Armband and then fly forwards, slamming into Arthur as the two of them disappeared through time in a sudden flash of light.
// PLANET NAMEK - AGE 852 \\
(Queue Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - Gatebreaker)
As a swirl in time opened on Planet Namek, Arthur was the first one to come flying out as Trunks came rushing after him, only to stop in the air and fire a Big Bang Attack that propels Arthur downwards and blasts him into Planet Namek’s dirt ground. Quickly flipping back onto his feet, Arthur threw out a blast of wind to push Trunks back as he then dashed forwards, ducking under Trunks’ right hook and slashing him straight across the chest with Excalibur to stagger Trunks back.
Grabbing his sword and drawing it again, Trunks infused the Brave Sword with his own Super Saiyan Ki, causing it to start glowing a bright golden color as he swung the blast to clash against and halt an overhead slash from Excalibur, letting him match Arthur for a moment before shoving him backwards, then swinging the sword around as it and Excalibur repeatedly clashed when both fighters attempted to strike each other. As their blades locked against each other, Arthur focused his Mana into Excalibur for a Mana Burst as Trunks released an explosion of ki from his sword, the resulting detonation of energy sending both fighters flying backwards and into the air.
As Trunks managed to stop himself in mid air, he focused and sensed for Arthur’s ki to find his location, only to find Arthur blasting through the air by propelling himself towards him. Raising his sword, Trunks swung to counter it as Excalibur starts to glow and Arthur swings it down on Trunks as he cries out-
Arthur: Excalibur!!
Unleashing a powerful mana burst that explodes in Trunks’ face, shattering the Brave Sword as the blast sends Trunks flying downwards at high speeds. In another burst, Arthur sent himself flying after Trunks, again and again hitting him with his sword before another strong mana burst sent Trunks flying into the side of a mounter while Arthur landed on the grounds of Namek, taking a deep breath to steel himself as he began walking forwards.
Arthur: You are a valiant warrior, Sir Trunks, but this is a fight you cannot win, because I cannot yield in my quest.
Leaping back out of the crater in the mounter, Trunks raised his hands over his hand and quickly fired out a yellow beam of energy.
Trunks: Masenko!
Arthur quickly swung Excalibur, partially activating Invisible Air to funnel the Masenko away from him before Trunks suddenly appeared in his face, unleashing his Change the Future blast that Arthur continued to block and funnel away before releasing another Mana Burst to get Trunks away from him. But as Trunks flew backwards, he quickly landed back down on the ground and dug into the pockets of his coat to pull out some Super Dragon Ball Heroes cards, then activating his Hero Switch to materialize the cards, and out of the flash of light came families of Super Saiyan 3 Goku and Vegeta as Trunks himself also transformed into a Super Saiyan 3.
(Queue Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 - Battle of Omega Instrumental Ver.)
Arthur: What the…!?
Vegeta: You better watch out, because Vegeta is a Super Saiyan 3 now!
Goku: A battle containing three Super Saiyan 3’s, I can’t wait.
Trunks and Goku took off flying forwards, Trunks charging in and throwing a heavy handed punch that Arthur blocked with a swing of his sword, but the sudden increase in Trunks strength causes him to stagger backwards as Goku suddenly rushed in, punching Arthur in the face before kneeing him in the gut and kicking him backwards. Appearing over the flying Arthur with Instant Transmission, Goku quickly axe-kicked him into the ground, then appeared before him again to send him flying again with another kick before another use of Instant Transmission got in before Arthur to send him flying into the air.
Goku: Vegeta!
Vegeta suddenly came flying in from behind and punched Arthur back down into the dirt, then appearing behind him as the Knight began to pick himself back up, firing a Big Bang Attack to send him flying across the fields of Planet Namek. But as Arthur groaned in pain upon standing back onto his feet, he looked across the field to see Vegeta prepping to use what was unmistakably Vegeta’s Technique, the Full Power Energy Blast Volley. As the waves and waves of Ki Blasts came flying at him, Arthur followed his instincts and deflected a few while weaving past the others.
Suddenly appearing in Vegeta’s face, Arthur unleashed a Mana Burst strike to send Vegeta hurling away before weaving past a ki blast from Goku, getting in close as he performs a spinning slash to fake Goku out before hitting him with the force to send him flying away, Arthur then turned his attention to Trunks and charged straight at him. Trunks flew up and straight ahead, clashing his fist against Excalibur as Arthur pushed back against the power of Super Saiyan 3 and launched Trunks into the air with one heavy smash. Flying back through the air, Trunks stopped himself as the families of Goku and Vegeta flew to his side and all began charging up their special techniques.
Goku: Kamehameha!
Trunks: Galick Gun!
Vegeta: Final Flash!

The three beams fired through the air, merging together into one massive blast capable of devastating the planet several times over as Arthur looks up at them, then raises his sword to the sky as the light which illuminates hope for all the world begins to shine, and that which all who look to the sky see as a symbol to aspire too is unleashed against the power of the Saiyan’s as the King raises his Holy Sword to the sky.
Arthur: Sheathed in the breath of the planet, a torrent of shining life... feel its wrath!!
He brings the sword down, and the light is unleashed.
Arthur: EXXXXCALIBUUUURRRRRR!!!!!
In an instant, the combined attack from Goku, Vegeta, and Trunks is consumed and swallowed by the light, the holy mana eating away at the Ki attacks as it overwhelms the three Saiyan’s, the families of Goku and Vegeta blown away while Trunks raises his arms to defend himself, but he too is overwhelmed by the strength of Arthur’s attack. He closes his eyes, because for a moment it seems hopeless, and maybe it would be easier to simply give up and be consumed by the holy sword’s light.
…
But he’s the warrior of hope. The last hope for everyone.
Trunks’ eyes open, and his pupils turn red.
In a blinding red explosion of God Ki, Excalibur’s beam of light is blown away as Trunks powers up, his hair shortening back to its original length, but now red in color as he floats in the air with a new calm, collected, but focused energy about him.
He would match the Holy Sword Excalibur with the strength of Super Saiyan God.
Arthur: Amazing…the ability to raise your battle power by transforming, what a remarkable Noble Phantasm. You, Sir Trunks, are a warrior who keeps on surprising.
As Arthur stepped forwards, the world around him shifted again. Crossing out of the boundaries of Namek, Arthur looked around to see he was in a plane of reality full of rifts, cracks, that lead to other worlds. Trunks stood across from him, holding his hand out and summoned the Awakened form of the Key Sword, which wrapped around his arm to lock onto it.
Trunks: It’s time to finish this.
Arthur: Indeed.
(Queue Fate/Stay Night - Mighty Wind)
Trunks flew forwards, swinging the Key Sword down and clashing it against Excalibur, causing Arthur to stagger backwards as Trunks brought the Key Sword around again for another slash that Arthur barely defended from. Gripping the hilt of the Key Sword with both hands, Trunks brought it around in a horizontal slash that sent Arthur flying across the TimeSpace void. But Arthur stopped himself, pointing the tip of Excalibur at Trunks and firing a tornado of wind outwards to unleash Strike Air upon Trunks, pushing him backwards as Arthur lunged across the void to land as slash across Trunks’ chest.
Quickly spinning around, Arthur stabbed Excalibur forwards and unleashed a Mana Burst that Trunks counters with the Key Sword, managing to stand on equal grounds with Arthur as the two exchange a high speed flurry of attacks, explosions of energy flying outwards from every clash of their swords. Trunks brought the Key Sword around, slashing at Arthur as the latter raised Excalibur to hastily block the attack, locking the two into a deadlocked clash.
Arthur: Gallant swordswork Sir Trunks!
But in a sudden flash of light, a shockwave flew out that blasted Trunks away from Arthur as the Knight of Knights raised his left hand, and a light began to shine from which he reached into.
Arthur: But I cannot allow this to continue anymore. Oh, pillar of the world, lend me your light to bright an end to this conflict.
Trunks: What…?
Out of the light came a spear, sheathed in its seal that Arthur carefully gripped, and slowly slid the spear out of its restraint. The result revealed a spear glowing with pure light, the pillar which holds the world together; Rhongomyniad.
Arthur: Let your light guide me through this storm, and bring about an age of peace for all mankind! RHONGOMYNIAD!!!!
But Trunks wasn’t going to take the attack lying down, and quickly brought his hands together as the Key Sword momentarily disappeared from his hands, allowing Trunks to unleash his strongest blast.
Trunks: FINAL FLASH!!!!!
The two golden beams clashed with each other, the sheer recoil of their powers colliding sending ripples and shockwaves out that both fighters would immediately feel. Shockwaves impacting the cracks leading to other timelines, other universes, causing tremors with those worlds that would never be explained to them, for only the Warrior of Hope and the King of Knights would ever know the truth.
The light from the pillar of the world began to overwhelm the Final Flash, consuming the blast and hitting Trunks directly with its overwhelming divine power. Raising his arms to block the attack, Trunks winced as his God Ki Aura protected him from being immediately evaporated, but the strain to keep himself safe was seriously pushing his limits. Resummoning the Key Sword to his hand, Trunks’s aura blazed to life like a burning flame as he charged forwards through the attack, his aura being overwhelmed and destroyed, leaving Trunks exposed to the full front of Rhongomyniad’s light.
But Arthur flew forwards as well, with the Holy Sword in his right hand and the Holy Spear in his left, both fighters yelled to the heaven’s as they approached each other for the final time. Arthur drew his left hand back, Trunks secured both his hands on the Key Sword, and everything went silent as the two met, and thrusted their weapons forwards.
…
Time stood still. The only sound that either could hear was the beatings of their own hearts, echoing in their ears.
Blood dripped into the abyss.
Both had struck true.
Arthur coughed, blood dripping from his lips as he looked down at the Key Sword impaling through his chest, but he could only chuckle looking upwards to see his left hand still holding Rhongomyniad, which pierced through Trunks’ chest as well as the Half-Saiyan let out a groan of agonizing pain, struggling to hold on to his consciousness.
Arthur: You fought valiantly, Sir Trunks…but this is over. Ex-!
Arthur raised Excalibur above him as the sword began to glow, Trunks staring the King dead on without breaking eye contact for a second as Arthur lowered the sword down.
Arthur: Calibur! …what?
But nothing happened.
There was no light. No explosion of mana. Nothing.
Arthur’s Magic Core was not supplying anymore mana to be used by the Holy Sword. Not because Arthur himself was too tired to expend more mana, but because it had become physically incapable of doing so.
The Key Sword had completely shut down his Magic Core.

Trunks: Ha…hahaha!
Suddenly thrusting the Key Sword further through Arthur’s chest, the King of Knights let out a “HURK!” of pain as Trunks began lifting on the Key Sword, intent on cutting right through Arthur in one clean slice. Letting go of Rhongomyniad, Arthur used both hands to bring Excalibur down on the Key Sword to try and stop it, but he was helpless to do so without the ability to activate Mana Burst. But as Arthur continued to struggle, the cracks began to form along his body as his Spiritual Core couldn’t take the strain of the Key Sword for much longer, a fact Trunks was all too aware of.
Trunks: GET OUT OF MY FUCKING TIMELINE!!!!!!
And with one last hurrah, Arthur screamed in pain for but a second as Trunks fully lifted the Key Sword upwards through Arthur’s body, bisecting him in two in one messy slash. The scream was cut short as the magical energy that made up Arthur’s form as a Heroic Spirit dissipated into little white dots of mana, his Spirition Core and Saint Graph completely destroyed by the Key Sword.
Excalibur and Rhongomyniad were both gone. The King of Knights was no more, only a memory to be preserved by Trunks, the Warrior of Hope.
Trunks: …you fought well, Arthur…I’m sorry it had to be this way.

Boomstick: Holy shit Wiz, that was way too close!
Wiz: This was certainly a headache of a match to decipher a winner for, not the least bit because of how evenly matched they were. There were several scenarios in which both fighters would have come out on top, especially when we analyzed the upper limits of their capabilities. But more times than not, Trunks just barely edged out over King Arthur.
Boomstick: Remember guys, as far as we could tell, Mechkiabura and Beast VI were about on the same level of power, since both were going to completely consume all of existence itself, so defeating them put Arthur and Trunks on roughly even terms when it came to raw power and speed, although there was a slight difference; Trunks needed the Key Sword to defeat Mechkiabura while Arthur defeated Draco with his own power using Excalibur.
Wiz: It’s likely that without the Key Sword Trunks wouldn’t have been able to pull out a victory, as even with his Super Saiyan God powers he’s never quite beaten anyone capable of existence-consuming levels of power. But it’s worth noting the Key Sword was never destroyed or became unusable, Trunks just hasn’t used it after the end of the Dark Demon Realm Saga, and could always use it again afterwards, making it viable to give him against Arthur, which evened out the power gap.
Boomstick: So without a significant gap in speed or strength, he had to analyze other aspects of their characters to find a winner. Thanks to his absolutely broken Instinct Skill, Arthur was definitely the more experienced fighter between the two of them, and regardless of if Trunks was Super Saiyan or not or using a sword of his fists, Arthur’s Mana Burst Skill meant Trunks was gonna have a real bitch of a time trying to fight Arthur is any form of close quarters combat.
Wiz: But Trunks most certainly made up for that with his larger assortment of Ki techniques and Summons, giving him a chance to completely overwhelm Arthur if given the chance. Would it be hard to do? Yes, but it’s still feasibly possible.
Boomstick: Plus, Trunks can fly! It’s pretty damn hard to fight someone who can fly when you can’t!
Wiz: Trunks real ace in the hole though really was the Key Sword. Not only did it make up for Trunks’ lesser strength on his own, it had everything Trunks needed to completely shut Arthur down. With the Key Sword’s abilities to absorb energy, disable transformations, and nullify or even straight up disable powers, it’s likely that all Trunks would need is one clean slice to completely depower Arthur and leave him open to a finishing blow. And it’s not unreasonable either, as there have been several times in Fate where a Servant is crippled and depowered by a Command Spell or an improper summoning leaving them unable to properly use their abilities. It’s likely the Key Sword would have a similar effect on Arthur.
Boomstick: Sure, both had insane amounts of stamina as well, since Arthur’s Magic Core let him produce seemingly infinite mana, but Trunks’s Super Saiyan God form let him heal minor injuries, something Arthur couldn’t really do, giving Trunks the endurance he needed to get his one winning hit in with the Key Sword.
Wiz: This was an incredibly close fight, and Arthur was never going to go down without a fight, but Trunks’s superior arsenal and endurance ultimately won out in the end.
Boomstick: Trunks just had the Key to Arthur’s Fate well in hand.
Wiz: The winner is Trunks.
