History[]

Worf was born in 2340, on the Klingon homeworld, Qo'noS, to Mogh, the patriarch of one of the Empire’s Great Houses. When Worf was five years old, Mogh took him and his mother to the Klingon colony planet, Khitomer. The family was there when the Romulan Empire attacked the colony, and Worf’s parents were among those killed.

The Federation starship, USS Intrepid, answered the colonies distress signal, and Chief Petty Officer Sergey Rozhenko found Worf buried in the rubble of a demolished building. As the House of Mogh was considered destroyed, Worf's nurse allowed Worf to be adopted by Rozhenko, and he went to live with the man’s human family on the farming colony on Gault. Worf grew up considering Nikolai Rozhenko to be his brother, and he nursed a deep hatred for the Romulans.

At the age of 15, Worf journeyed to Qo'noS, where he performed the Rites of Ascension and MajQa. However, Worf was rejected by his Klingon relatives as bearing a human “taint,” so he returned to the Federation. He later joined Starfleet and was posted to the USS Enterprise, where he served first as a command division bridge officer, and later was elevated to Chief of Security. He eventually rose in rank to be Lieutenant Commander.

In one alternate future, Worf became a member of the Klingon High Council, and was the governor of the Klingon colony on H'atoria.

Feats and Strengths[]

  • He was forced into a series of hand-to-hand fights with Jem'Hadar soldiers, each more experienced than the last, and defeated six soldiers in a row. He finally faced off against a Jem'Hadar First, a First being the highest rank that a Jem'Hadar can achieve. The First, Ikat'ika, overcame Worf but could not force him to yield no matter how bad he beat him. Finally, the First yielded instead saying, "I yield! I cannot defeat this Klingon. All I can do is kill him, and that no longer holds my interest." (DS9 S5E15)
  • He attacked Weyoun 7 and snapped his neck, killing him before his guards could react. (DS9 S7E19)
