Winston vs Cyber Silverback is a What-If? Death Battle written by KanaNotBonnie, featuring Winston from the team-based shooter Overwatch facing off against the Cyber Silverback from the video game Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 in a fight between science fiction FPS gorillas from space with strength in both brute force and intelligence.

Ukyo: Humanity has constantly pushed the border between natural and the artificial; both with humanity's constant growth and expansion, but the ways we as people have extended our range of dominance over the universe.
Ky: ... which, you know. It's gone a bit too far when we started as little itty bitty bugs in the sea. From the genetics of animals to the horizons of the world, humans have tested and pushed further beyond the limits we were put in at our earliest beginnings.
Ukyo: Of course, not all beings support the bases of growth in the ways of humanity, while for others... the growth of humanity might be better than anything we could ever achieve. A way to better the world, not just change it. And with those who believe in this cost, it can extend to an idea more than just us as humans hold. Perhaps... those we create might have ideas on how we should use our own power.
Ky: Like with Winston, the Horizon Lunar Colony's most intelligent subject and one of the most important members of Overwatch.
Ukyo: And the Cyber Silverback, Call of Duty's treasure-stealing gorilla from space.
Ky: With the actions simply out of their control, these animals try their best to moderate their emotions-- and sometimes, it's uncontrollable. A rage built up from their intelligence, and an outburst they must let out. But, despite that, they hold the values any person should. Their passion for the relationships they've made, despite what side of good and evil they're on.
Ukyo: He's Ky and I'm Ukyo-

- The connections between Winston and Cyber Silverback is that both are...
- Intelligent, verbal gorillas with ties to space which led to body manipulation (Winston was genetically engineered raised in space, the Cyber Silverback was sent to space and was biologically manipulated by it) which they were suddenly sparked to revolt against the norms of their people after their guardian was killed by them (Winston fleed the Lunar Colony after it was overthrown and his scientist father was killed, and the Cyber Silverback stole the Player's chicken pet after his brother was killed by him) leading to them to live a depressing life but were soon able to group up with new people that brought them more enjoyment (Overwatch and the Cyber Silverback's family/the zombies). They also have cybernetics with their body (Winston's body is enhanced by his jump pack and his inventions, while the Cyber Silverback has enhancements on his body such as his eye) and wear armored suits on their body which come from their times in space. Both have the ability to succumb into their rage and become insanely powerful (Winston's Primal Rage strengthens him and allows him to easily knock around opponents, Cyber Silverback's rage mode allows him to insantly kill the player). While Winston is a heroic, brave hero who wants to save and protect the world who rarely succumbs to his anger due to his dreams, the Cyber Silverback is a dangerous anti-villain who solely wants to avenge his brethren and nothing more, directly opposing the hero who, like with Overwatch and Winston's ideals, wants to change and help the world by opposing its evil.
