Fanon Wiki Ideas So Far[]
Possible Opponents[]
- Argus
- Cyberman (Doctor Who)
- Daleks (Doctor Who)
- Dementor
- Medusa
- The Witch King
Death battle info[]
- Age: 'As old as the universe, or very nearly' according to the Tenth Doctor.
- Height: Standard human proportions
- One of the most idiosyncratic and fearsome monsters encountered in the Doctor Who universe.
- Described also by the Doctor as 'the only psychopaths in the universe that kill you nicely.'
Abilities[]
- Powers of 'quantum locking' turns them instantly to stone in the sight of any living creature- renders them innocuous in casual appearance and immune to physical attacks such as bullets. It's even been suggested all conventional attacks may fail if the Angels truly are 'locked out' of time itself when in their statue forms, explaining why they have been apparently unkillable for so long.
- Touch can send other lifeforms back into the past, often far enough that they will be dead in the present, whilst the Angel gains energy from their 'stolen' days of life.
- Extremely fast when in their unfrozen state- once shown able to climb down a church and cross a city street in the literal blink of an eye.
- Power to project their consciousness through images taken of themselves.
- Powers to tamper with or even shut off lights altogether, allowing them freedom to move out of sight.
- Physical strength to easily snap human bones.
- Can 'steal' the voices and personas of human victims to trick other unsuspecting lifeforms.
- Any image that has a weeping angel (photograph, video surveillance, or a mental image) becomes a weeping angel
Known Weeping Angels
- Standard Angel
- Surveillance Angel
- Amy's Mental Picture Angel
- Cherubs
- Statue of Liberty
Feats[]
- Have survived as a species since almost the dawn of the universe.
- Walked through hails of bullets unfazed
- Transformed the Statue of LIberty into an Angel
- Sent Amy and Rory back in the past and met their death
- Preyed on unsuspecting humans for years in contemporary London, even fooling the Doctor and sending him back to 1969.
- Is confirmed to be the most dangerous species by the Doctor (and he’s faced against Gods and Demons)
- Likewise controlled 1930s Manhattan including setting up a human 'farm' of time energy.
Flaws[]
- The obvious weakness of freezing in the sight of living creatures- most dangerous of all is if two Angels look at each other simultaneously, freezing them both forever.
- If starved of time energy for long enough become physically weak and decrepit, able to move only one or two steps at a time- though this process typically takes hundreds of years.
- Even a somewhat weakened Angel can still be restrained by conventional means like chains.
- Being reliant on time energy to survive, Angels can be 'poisoned' by time energy that has been strongly corrupted, such as by the creation of a paradox.
Failures[]
- Tricked by the Doctor into surrounding the TARDIS which subsequently dematerialised, leaving the four Angels looking at one another and trapped for eternity.
- Even failed to notice vulnerable prey when otherwise distracted in Flesh and Stone.
