Description[]

Darksiders vs. Furi. They ride into battle against entire gauntlets of powerful foes.

Introduction[]

Wiz: The phrase 'to ride into battle', is used a lot, but rarely is it better suited than with people who are willing to go up against a vast variety of foes.

Boomstick: Like War, the Horseman of the Apocalypse.

Wiz: And the Stranger, the mysterious planetary invader.

Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.

Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.

War[]

Wiz: During the ongoing battles between the Angels and the Demons, there was a third race to be inevitably drawn into the conflict; a combination of the aforementioned two others, known as the Nephilim.

Boomstick: Hang on, are you sure you're not repeating the last episode we just did, because I'm pretty sure there was a Nephilim in that one as well.

Wiz: Different kind of Nephilim actually. These ones were in fact created by the bride of Lucifer, Lilith, in hopes that they would serve as a means of gaining an improved threshold in Heaven and Hell's war. However, four of these Nephilim rebelled against their kin, slaughtering them in the midst of their interplanetary rampages.

Boomstick: These four rebellious Nephilim would later become known as the Horsemen of the Apocalypse, one of whom we've already covered.

Wiz: The youngest of these Horseman was the Red Rider, War, feared for his prowess on the battlefield that would cause both angels and demons to tremble as his presence.

  • Background
    • Age: Thousands of years
    • Height: 6'5
    • AKA The Red Rider
    • Youngest of the Four Horsemen
    • Framed for starting the Apocalypse
    • Enters with 'Bad Moon Rising' playing

Boomstick: War and his siblings, Death, Strife and Fury, worked for the Charred Council, a force dedicated to preserving the balance of the universe, with War often providing the straight up muscle needed to get the job done. Whether it be destroying the creations with a vault of abominations, or going at it in a 'Wolverine/Deadpool'-like duo with Strife, War followed the council faithfully, always ready to maintain peace in spite of his name.

Wiz: But this all came to an end when the Apocalypse was prematurely started.

Boomstick: Naturally, as a Horseman of the Apocalypse, War was blamed for this and so was imprisoned for one thousand years by the Charred Council, in spite of his claims he had been framed. Listening to all that it sounds like a Biblical edition of Law and Order.

Wiz: War wouldn't remain imprisoned forever however, as the Charred Council would later give him the opportunity to prove his innocence, but with two conditions; one, that an entity known as the Watcher would accompany him to watch him, and two, that the majority of his power would be sealed away.

Boomstick: But those two things weren't all that bad. For one thing, War got to listen to a killer Joker impersonation, and two, War didn't need all of his power in order to completely kick the ass of anything that dared to get in his way.

Wiz: And as proof that being imprisoned for one thousand years hasn't dampened his skill in the slightest, War wields his signature weapon with great effect.

  • Arsenal
    • Chaoseater
    • Crossblade
    • Scythe
    • Tremor Gauntlet
    • Earthcaller
    • Mercy
    • Abyssal Chain
    • Voidwalker

Boomstick: It is an absolute beauty of a blade known as Chaoseater, named because it has the ability to feed off the conflict generated in the battles and empower War. Plus, when slammed into the ground, it can generate blades to stab upwards. That's right; it's a sword that makes more swords! Wiz, make that sword for me so I can make more swords with it.

Wiz: Oh, I wouldn't know how to begin.

Boomstick: Fine, I'll take my business to Man at Arms reforged.

Wiz: Well, he could make a nice replica but it wouldn't be the exact same as War's weapons, since it was forged by supernatural entities, just like the weapons of his siblings, one of which War also wields.

Boomstick: He's got one of his brother's Strife's guns called Mercy, which possesses essentially limitless ammo. And like his brother Death, War can use a sweet scythe in battle, along with hard hitting glove known as the Tremor Gauntlet and an earth shattering war horn known as the Earthcaller.

Popup: The gauntlet that War primarily wears is not in fact a gauntlet, but an artificial hand. Whilst not combat applicable, it can be used by him to shield himself from attacks.

Wiz: War also has a couple of more 'tricky' weapons at hand, such as the spinning star Crossblade, the portal generating Voidwalker and the Abyssal Chain to pull himself at enemies or them towards him.

Boomstick: He's basically a walking armory, as you would expect of someone called War, and it goes further than that with the magical abilities he has on hand.

  • Powers
    • Blade Geyser
    • Stoneskin
    • Immolation
    • Affliction
    • Summoning Ruin
    • Shadowflight
    • Chaos Form

Wiz: Most notably, he can summon his steed Ruin to ride into battle upon.

Boomstick: And just as notably when fighting, War can make use of several Wrath powers. We've already mentioned the sword-making-swords, but he can also increase his defenses with Stoneskin or Immolation, which straight up converts himself into fire.

Wiz: Aside from summoning Ruin, War can also summon winged serpents as part of Affliction, or fly small distances himself with the Shadowflight wings. But when he truly wishes to decimate the foe, he is able to temporarily lift the seals placed on him by the Charred Council in order to enter his Chaos Form.

Popup: The Chronomancer ability is only usable around Chronospheres. A similar limitation extends to the Mask of Shadows.

Boomstick: Standing 13 feet tall, not only is War now immune to damage, he can give it back out in great droves. Damn, if that's the power they usually wield without being restricted, no wonder the Nephilim were near-unstoppable. In fact, the entire purpose of the Chaoseater is to enable him to obtain enough Wrath is use this ability, among all the others.

  • Feats
    • Scales to Fury's speed
    • Lifted cars
    • Destroyed the Black Throne Spire and Straga
    • Broke the Seventh Seal
    • Defeated the Chosen, Dark War, Abaddon

Wiz: Not like he needs to rely on those all the time however, since he's plenty strong without utilizing them.

Boomstick: Like his brother Death, who cut in half an absolute unit of a boulder with a single swing of his scythe. As we've mentioned before, that blow would have been worth 15 megatons of force.

Wiz: He can lift entire cars over his head, dragged down a massive monster bat and once battled against the demon Straga, who is directly connected to the Black Throne Spire.

Boomstick: Which for those less savvy that your hardcore Darksiders fan, is essentially a place completely filled with powerful magic, which is directly powering this Straga guy. And guess what, War took this guy down.

Wiz: War has also taken down lots of other foes, including an order of demons which Straga belonged to and at one point the Seven Deadly Sins with the rest of his siblings. One of whom, Pride, utilized lasers in a battle against War's sister, Fury, which she was able to dodge at speeds of Mach 6 (NoMoreTalking). So War should be capable of similar speeds.

Boomstick: Well you can always expect a person called War to have what it takes to walk straight into battle and be the deadliest guy there, but you can also expect that drive to battle to also make him lose a bit of control.

Wiz: And don't forget, most of his power is still restricted beyond Chaos Form, which certainly isn't going to do him any good. But War was eventually able to prove his innocence, killing both the one to frame him and the Watcher assigned to guard him, before shattering the Seventh Seal and calling to his side his fellow Horseman.

Boomstick: War may not have started the apocalypse, but with his kin at his side, he's sure as well gonna finish it.

Stranger[]

Wiz: Imagine if you will a prison, stationed above the world, comprised of several different biomes, each with a single guard within. And now imagine all of this was constructed and maintained to guard a single prisoner.

Boomstick: It's a bit like Chorh-Gom Prison from Kung Fu Panda; a massive prison for just one ultra-dangerous inmate. And dangerous this prisoner was, because if he were to escape, it could mean the very end of the world.

Wiz: Long ago, the planet came under siege from a singular warrior, named the Rider, who served as a scout of sorts for a great invasion of aliens like himself. Following a battle against a warrior known as the Hand, however, the Rider was defeated and imprisoned within the planet-orbiting detention center.

Boomstick: There, he got tortured by the first of the prison's guardians, the Chain, so much so that he ended up losing the vast majority of his memory.

Wiz: But with the loss of his memory came the obtaining of a new name; the Stranger.

Boomstick: I get it; because he was a Stranger to himself. Real philosophical game this is when you think about it.

  • Background
    • Age: N/A
    • Height: 6'
    • AKA The Rider
    • Alien invader
    • Heartbeat: 8 BPM
    • Running speed: 73 km/h

Wiz: As it turns out, the prison wasn't just, well, a prison for the Stranger. Turns out that being a Guardian in the place meant that they Guardian in question could never leave themselves.

Boomstick: Unless the prison didn't have its prisoner anymore. That's what the Architect, later known as the Voice, came to realize, which is why he released the Stranger in the first place.

Wiz: Bit of a risky move, considering that the Stranger is literally the harbinger of the apocalypse, but the Voice reasoned that a chance to get a bit of character growth in could do the Stranger some good.

Popup: A line from the Chain suggests that the Stranger is able to resurrect upon death.

Boomstick: We all know what kind of character development the Stranger is best at though, and that's the process of fighting his way to freedom, through each and every one of the Guardians. And he had the perfect weapon to do so; his Graphene Composite Saber, which, let me guess, is a fictional metal both lighter and stronger than titanium.

Wiz: Actually, it's a real scientific substance.

Boomstick: What? No way!

  • Arsenal and Techniques
    • Graphene Composite Saber
      • Combo Slash
      • Charge Slash
      • Boost
      • Parry
        • Heals damage
    • Automatic Laser Handgun
      • Automatic Shots
      • Charge Shots
    • Flight Device
      • Fast flight
      • Automatic Shots
      • Charged Laser Blast

Wiz: It's true. Graphene is a allotrope of carbon atoms formed into a two dimensional hexagonal lattice, and it's natural abilities are probably the reason why the sword essentially acts like a Lightsaber.

Boomstick: Oh god, Wiz, not more science, please!

Wiz: Sorry, but the folks at home want to know the closest means they can get to making a real-life Lightsaber. Graphene is an excellent conductor of electrons, carriers of an electrical charge, so the Stranger is essentially carrying around an incredibly electrified blade. And as we all know, electricity transfers into heat energy whenever it touches a surface, so that's likely the explanation behind the Saber's cutting capabilities. What it doesn't explain is how the saber is clearly more than 2D sized, because that's a bit of scientific anomaly. In fact, the Rider himself is a scientific anomaly; his heart beats at an abnormally low rate and his DNA is completely unreadable.

Boomstick: No more science! It's making my head throb.

Wiz: Oh fine. Care to get us back on topic.

Boomstick: Happy to get us away from science. Using his Saber, the Stranger can deliver a series of deadly slashes, or deliver an extra powerful one at close-quarter ranges accompanied with a dash. And as a bonus for going on the defensive, whenever the Stranger is able to block an attack, it heals him slightly. Hang on, a blade that has a function to heal you? Sounds like Dracula's Void Sword from the last episode, this is a repeat!

Wiz: Aside from his borderline-scientifically accurate sword he wields, the Stranger also has an Automatic Laser Gun for long ranged fighting.

Boomstick: A single fully charged blast from this thing is strong enough to knock any of the Guardian's onto their back. Guardian's like the Strap, who can unleash a powerful blast of energy from her head...thingy.

Wiz: With his myriad of skills and weapons and the guidance of the Voice, the Stranger was able to fight his way past all the Guardians in his way, including the warrior to have originally defeated him, and against the Line, whose power to see into the future has been disabled by the existence of the Stranger.

Boomstick: And upon getting to the surface of the planet, the Stranger's mere presence was discovered to decay the buildings and rot the plant life itself. Worth it though, because the Stranger was able to find the source of his original namesake; his flight unit.

Wiz: Not only does it allow the Rider to fly at high speeds, it's also equipped with front mounted guns that can be charged up for a massive laser blast.

  • Feats
    • Dodged laser beams
    • Flew to the Mothership
    • Can survive blasts from the Strap
    • Destroyed the Scale's civilization
    • Defeated the Guardians, the Flame, the Star

Boomstick: High speed flight is correct. Whilst the Stranger can run at 73 km/h, he's able to react fast enough to dodge laser blasts as sub-relativist speeds, and the flight unit lets him fly at full-relativist speeds.

Wiz: By taking into account the distance of the Mothership from the planet, which appears to be similar to the moon's, and the time-frame shown, then the flight unit enables the Stranger to fly at 18% the speed of light.

Popup: The exact speed of the Stranger without the flight unit is 0.0846 times the speed of flight. The fact that the Stranger could coordinate himself whilst piloting the flight unit shows he can reach this highest level of reaction speeds.

Boomstick: Damn impressive, but the most impressive thing the Stranger has pulled off is, of course, is fighting each of the prison's Guardians back-to-back. Kind of like Wander and Cuphead, so there are some more fanon battle ideas for you lot reading.

Wiz: During these battles, the Stranger showed himself to be virtually tireless and capable of taking a lot of punishment. With so much efficiency under his belt it's hard to pin down any kind of weakness for him, aside from the common 'to-much-damage-being-too-much-for-him.'

Boomstick: And it turns out that the Voice's gambit to get the Stranger to grow as a person potentially works, because he can take the initiative to take down the Mothership containing the rest of his invader brethren, saving the planet he once threatened.

Wiz: Showing even a weapon of destruction can change for the better.

Interlude[]

Wiz: Alright the combatants are set, time to end this debate once and for all.

Boomstick: It's time for a Death Battle!

The Battle[]

A stone platform levitated in the dusty brown air above a brown cloud line, empty until two things rocketed towards it; one was a burning meteor-like method of transportation and the other was a flight unit bearing a single individual. The former item smashed into one end of the platform, revealing the horseman War, whilst the flight unit touched down at the other end, the Stranger stepping out of it.

As the two of them silently stared each other down, their respective guides appeared beside them.

The Voice: He stands in our way to freedom. Kill him and be done with it.

The Watcher: Obtain his head and your task shall be complete.

War drew his Chaoseater from his back and the Stranger drew his saber as the Voice and Watcher vanished from sight.

FIGHT!

The two charged towards each other, their blades clashing once before this was repeated in a series of rapid slashes and blocks, War and the Stranger taking turns being on the offensive and defensive. Eventually, the Stranger whipped around to slash out in a wide arc with his saber, forcing War to brace the Chaoseater in front of himself so that the saber's tip raked across the full length of the face's of the blade, before bringing the sword down at the Stranger. The Stranger braced the saber up above him with his other hand on the blade to block the attack, but was still forced down slightly by the power of the strike, and then forced down even further when War delivered another downwards swing, then another. At a forth attempt, the Stranger darted backwards so that War's sword instead cut into the ground where he had been a moment before. Stopping his dash backwards by planting his feet on the ground, the Stranger charged up his sword and then darted back at War, swinging out with an extra-powerful slice. The attack connected with War's fifth downwards swing, causing War to stumble backwards and letting the Stranger to jump up and deliver a double-kick into the Nephilim's chest. War grunted as the attack connected before the Stranger, as his own attack had pushed him backwards, landed on the ground and came at War with another slash. However, this ended up getting blocked by War's gauntlet hand, allowing the Nephilim to use this to drag the sword to the side and stab Chaoseater at the Stranger, forcing him to dart backwards to avoid getting skewered; however, the very tip of the blade still cut slightly into his torso, leaving a thin line on it, which the Stranger touched gingerly as soon as he had dodged backwards from War's attack.

The Stranger and War locked determined defiant gazes for a moment before War, reversed his grip on Chaoseater and stabbed it into the ground, summoning red swords to stab out from the ground towards the Rider, who darted across the platform to avoid getting stabbed. Even when entire clusters of swords surrounded him from all sides, the Stranger merely sliced his way through the summoned swords before darting back towards War. The two exchanged two wide slashes, before the Stranger leaped over War, slashing him in the shoulder in the process before landing behind him. War ignored the injury and whipped around as fast as he could, slashing out with his sword as he did, only for the Stranger to jump over the blade and deliver a series of slashes to the wide-open War's chest. War swung the blade back the opposite way, and this time the Stranger ducked under the swipe and lunged forward to slash his saber down, cutting into War's shoulder. War gritted his teeth, but his Stoneskin ability meant that the blade couldn't cut too deep, characterized by a sudden grey shine over his body, before bringing Chaoseater under the Stranger's blade and using it to push it away and out of his shoulder. War unleashed a series of slashes at the Stranger, advancing on him in the process, forcing the Stranger to both deflect and evade backwards. The Stranger was able to get out of this situation by dashing past War, slashing his side in the process, before dashing a couple more times past War, delivering a slash each time in the process, eventually ending up behind War. War whipped around as fast as he could and swung Chaoseater, the attack being blocked by the Stranger and pushing him back several steps. War then swapped out his sword for his scythe, twirling it around before advancing at Stranger and hacking down at him. The Stranger leapt into the air to avoid the blade and slashed downwards with his saber, slicing the scythe's blade off the staff. War tossed aside the severed handle and brought out the Earthcaller horn, blowing into it and unleashing a blast of sound that engulfed the Stranger as he landed back on the ground. The Stranger dashed forward through the sound-based attack and sliced this weapon in half as well, but this left his open for War to grab him by the head, lift him up via it and smash him down into the ground before drawing out Chaoseater and stab it through the alien's back. War then yanked the blade out of the Stranger, in the process jolting him back to his feet with his back to War, and War swung the Chaoseater down. The strike ended up being deflected however as the Stranger whipped around, his saber deflecting the giant blade, in the process healing the giant stab wound in his chest. As soon as he had deflected the attack, the Stranger whipped out his pistol and aimed it directly at War's face, charging up a shot and firing it straight into the Nephilim's face. The power of the shot sent War stumbling backwards and the Stranger followed up the blast with a charged downwards slash of his saber. The instant the blade connected with War, however, he activated Immolation, coating himself into a fiery layer so that when the saber touch him, a blast was unleash that sent the Stranger flying backwards through the air, where he flipped before landing back on his feet.

War drew out his Mercy gun and fired off several rounds at the Stranger, who aimed with his gun to shoot the bullets directly out of their air before they could get to him. War and Stranger circled each other as they fired off their respective long ranged weapons at the other with every projectile colliding together due to the Stranger's marksmanship. Eventually, War drew out the Crossblade and hurled it to the side so that it flew around the platform towards the Stranger, who was too busy shooting down Mercy's bullets to focus his attention of it immediately. Just as it was about to hit him, the Stranger noticed it from the corner of his eye and turned his gun to shoot it out of the air. However, this left him open for several bullet from Mercy to strike him; two in the chest and one in the leg. Before the Stranger could recover, the Abyssal Chain shot out and latched onto his chest, pulling him towards the owner of the chain, War. As soon as the Stranger was in range, War swung the Tremor Gauntlet equipped fist and struck the alien straight into the chest, sending him flying backwards to crash into the ground, leaving a trench in it. With a bellow, War ran forwards and leapt into the air, his Tremor Gauntlet poised for a downwards punch. As soon as he swung it, the Stranger rolled backwards as the gauntlet smashed into the ground, sending a massive shockwave across the platform.

A shockwave that predated a massive crack spreading across the length of the platform, resulting in it splitting in two, both halves beginning to slowly dip downwards. Seeing this, the Stranger turned and dashed towards his flight unit, leaping against the increasingly downturning ground to grab onto the device, putting himself in place and activating the Flight Device, lifting upwards as both halves of the platform finished their turning downwards. War himself remained on the opposing half, driving his sword into it to stop himself plummeting downwards. War looked up at the sound of the flight device's hum as the Stranger flew towards him in it, intended it smash straight into him. War used his free hand to aim the Abyssal Chain and latch onto the top of the now vertical platform half, pulling himself upwards as the Stranger's charge smashed him straight through the structure and out the other side, smashing the lower end of it into free-falling pieces. War climbed onto the side-turned-top of the platform and drew out Mercy, aiming at the Stranger as he flew back around from his charge towards War. Before War could fire, the Stranger did first, forcing War to cover his face with his gauntlet and shoot out several rounds from Mercy, aiming based on memory. The Stranger dodged the shots before charging up a powerful beam of energy and firing it, forcing War to roll as a dodge as the attack blew off a large chuck of the half's top. As the Stranger flew by, War turned around and fired more shots from Mercy, which were blasted by the Stranger when he turned around and fired off his cannons. War grimaced in annoyance as his attacks continuously being countered and so activated Infliction, summoning floating serpents that flew towards the Stranger with eager hisses. The Stranger was able to shoot a number of them down before the remainder where fully on him, forcing him to pull one of his arms from an arm of the flight device and use his sword to cut them down. As they began to engulf him, he dashed backwards from the swarm, slashing at the snakes as they attempted to remain close to him. Once only a handful remained, the Stranger charged up a beam and fired it to incinerate the remaining snakes. As soon as the Stranger had done so, however, he found his troubles were not through as the Abyssal Chain suddenly snagged his foot, which was used to drag himself towards the alien. The Stranger fired a shot at him, but War mimicked his technique and fired Mercy to take it out, allowing him to get close enough the Stranger to grab onto his foot personally and unleash a trio of slashes upon the alien, sending him flying up into the air and out of control. Although this also caused War to loose his grip, War spread his Shadowflight wings to glide downwards through the air. The Stranger, meanwhile, was able to straightened himself in the air and looked down to stop War, flying down after him.

As War glided downwards perused by the Stranger, he broke through the cloud line to see a vast desert below him, with several ruined stone structures dotted about it. Behind War, the Stranger charged up another beam and fired it, and War drifted to the side to avoid it, and did so again upwards when the Stranger swept it across the side. As War neared the ground, a fiery burst erupted directly below him and out rode the already galloping Ruin. War canceled his Shadowflight and landed cleanly on Ruin's back, mounting him. War looked over his shoulder to see the Stranger flying at him from the cloud line and he urged Ruin to run faster. The Stranger drew level behind War, aiming his cannons and firing at the Nephilim, which War dispelled with a swing of Chaoseater. This gave the Stranger the opportunity to draw level with the horse-riding War, prompting him to swing his blade out, which was blocked by the flight unit's arm before a cannon was aimed at War, who dodged his head to the side of the blast. The Stranger then performed an aileron roll to end up on the other side of War and Ruin, firing his gun down as he did, War blocking the shots by holding the blade's face above himself. The Stranger then drew his saber and slashed at War, who slashed back with Chaoseater, the two blades clashing together thrice. The strength War put into the third slash knocked the Stranger back, who had to realign himself in the air before he flew to try and catch back up to War. War commanded Ruin to turn around and charge towards the Stranger, their blades clashing together as they dashed by one another. This charge/clash was repeated numerous time as War and Stranger rode across the vast desert in quick dashes. Eventually, the two of them clashed together, the two entering a lock as War's Chaoseater grinded against the crossed arms of the flight unit. With a grunt, the Stranger uncrossed the arms and in the split second before War could counter, he charged up a laser, blasting both the Nephilim and his horse backwards, leaving them both smoking from the intense energy of the laser.

Seeing the damage done to his steed, War glared at the Stranger, who stared impassively back. Gripping the reins of Ruin, War commanded him to charge towards the Stranger, who began charging up another laser blast. As he charged it up, War shot his hand out and fired a blast of ethereal magic towards the Stranger, who spun-dodged to the side of the blast, and although this caused him to cancel his laser blast, he instantly charged up another beam and fired. Anticipating the attack, War both commanded Ruin to sink back into the Earth whilst he himself leapt from his back into the air. The Stranger brought the beam upwards to try and catch War, even as he sailed right over his head, firing another ethereal blast up into the air, which struck a piece of the still slowly falling floating platform. Rather than cause damage however, the magic instead generated a portal, just like the first magic blast War had fired onto a ruined wall right behind the Stranger. This first portal, created by the Voidwalker now had War dive straight through it so that he came out the portal on the slowly falling piece of platform. With a yell War bore down towards the Stranger, his sword raised for a strike. The Stranger looked up to see his attacker's action and fired another charged laser at him. It struck the Nephilim dead in the chest, burning him and slowing his decent. However, War merely gritted his teeth before letting out a roar and entering his Chaos Form, blasting away the stream of laser currently striking him, and letting him continue to bear down towards the Stranger.

The alien only had time to widen his eyes before the transformed War landed in front of him, swinging his blade down and cutting the Stranger and his flight unit in half. Both halves sparked briefly before exploding into a massive fireball. Once it resided, the smoke swept away to show War unaffected and reverted back to his primary self. He stood back up and placed his sword on his back before commanding Ruin to come out of the ground. Saddling his horse, War rode away from the scorched earth, which had the Stranger's saber embedded into it.

KO!

Outcome[]

Boomstick: Huh, I guess this really is a repeat of the last episode. The Nephilim won again!

Wiz: First off, let's come right out and say what everyone else is probably thinking as well.

Popup: Although the Stranger could evidently resurrect upon death, the one-reset-death rule is in application here.

Boomstick: Yeah, that War had way more powers and weapons than the Stranger, certainly more than he had ever encountered in any single one-on-one fight where the norm wasn't just simply close quarters or long-ranged firing. Although that was what War was also capable of, his multiple options for long or close range meant that the Stranger would quickly find himself overwhelmed pretty quickly. Hell, the Chaos Form alone would have been a real game-breaker for War to have busted out against the white-haired invader.

Wiz: And this topic of weapons leads us to explaining that whilst the Stranger's saber may have seemed like an all-cutting device, there did seem to be limits to what substances it could actually cut through, like the Chain's staff, as it only got knocked away with a strike from the saber. And overestimating the Stranger's weapon now leads us to analyze an event caused by the Stranger; the destruction of the Scale's civilization.

Boomstick: It was said that the Stranger's arrival destroyed this civilization in a single impact, but there's nothing really concrete to back this up as being a feat of raw power, and the basis for the description more than likely originated from the Stranger's ability to rot the world around him.

Wiz: Even if we took it as literal by taking into account the probable weight of the Stranger's flight unit and his speed of 18% the speed of light, faster than your conventional meteor by the way, then flying into something at full speed in his case would have only equaled 1.10 tons of TNT.

Boomstick: And that leads us to discussing just how much power these two were packing, and how much they could survive.

Wiz: In his quest of escape his prison, the Stranger did battle against the Strap, who was able to fire a massive beam of energy worth exactly 900 tons of TNT (DMUA). And whilst it is impressive that the Stranger can survive getting hit by this beam, War was way tougher and far more powerful.

Boomstick: You remember how he said he defeated a demon who was being fueled directly by a giant magical tower. Well to pull of such a feat, War would have needed to utilize a strength worth, at minimum, 12 megatons of TNT (NoMoreTalking). And don't forget, War also took hits from that tower guy, so he totally outranked the Stranger in both how much power he could give and the amount of punishment they could take.

Wiz: And finally, that leads to me to say that whilst the Stranger's sub-relativistic and relativist feats of speed show him as the faster of the two, it wouldn't matter against the sheer different in power, arsenal and durability that War presented.

Boomstick: The Stranger was simply on the wrong Side of this War.

Wiz: The winner is War.

Trivia[]

  • The connection between War and the Stranger is that they are both white-haired, red-cloaked sword wielders who have notable means of transportation and who are purposed with destroying worlds at the behest of an inhuman entity, alongside others of their occupation and kind, and are accompanied by enigmatic guides. Both have also been imprisoned for certain crimes related to the end of the world and were given the option to atone for them; however, whilst War was framed for his crime, the Stranger did commit his. Coincidentally, the Stranger can be viewed as a representation of the biblical horseman War.
  • This battle would have been in 3D
  • The original music for this battle would have been called 'Furious Horseman', referring to the Stranger's series Furi and War's status as a Horseman of the Apocalypse
