Description[]
Pirates of sky and sea come to clash!
Interlude[]
Metroid: Vyse, the Legend.
Thunder: And Monkey. D. Luffy, the Rubber Captain of the Straw Hat Pirates!
Metroid: For one to be a pirate they must be as threatening and merciless. Dangerous and their names bringing terror to those who know them.
Thunder: Not so much for these two, they may be pirates, but also pretty nice guys! ...Despite the pirate thing. He's Metroid and I'm Thunder!
Metroid: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.
Vyse sails for DEATH BATTLE![]
Metroid: The age of exploration has dawned upon the world of Arcadia. People from all over sail the skies of finding treasure.
Thunder: Yeah, this is a world where there is no ocean, just floating islands. Hope ya ain't looking for waves to ride.
Metroid: But where there is treasure, there are air pirates. And here, there are different kinds; Black Pirates were the usual evil pirates, and the Blue Rogues, who only stole from empires or other pirates.
Thunder: And one of 'em was more notable from his adventure that actually saved the world: the Blue Rogue known as Vyse!
BACKGROUND
Age: 17
Height: 5'7"
Occupation: Air Pirate
The pilot of the Delphinus
Appeared in Valkyria Chronicles
Believes nothing is impossible
A bit of a girl checker
Metroid: Since he was a child, Vyse was eager to become an air pirates just like his father. In his early years, he simply did stuff like bring supplies or polish the cannonballs.
Thunder: But once he got old enough, Vyse was made into the crewmembers of his dad's pirate crew, and he was definitely capable of holding his own! He's skilled with all and any cutlasses, and know a bit of magic to keep himself safe!
Metroid: But on one fateful day, an attack on an Vaulan Airship led to him and his friend Aika meeting a girl named Fina. After rescuing her...twice, since they were attacked shortly after saving her, Fina revealed the Vaulan Empire planned to harness the power of Gigas, bio weapons that destroyed the Old World.
Thunder: Considering Vyse had a dream to see what lied beyond the sunset and to see the whole world, he wasn't very keen on a corrupt empire awakening giant bio weapons that could destroy the world to have power. So he set off to kick their asses!
Metroid: Vyse is indeed a skilled user of Cutlasses. But out of all of them, he has the Sky Fang as his strongest. Stated to be able to split the heavens with how powerful it is, Vyse definitely has shown he can potentially do it; he can send out energy waves for distance attacks.
Thunder: He also can apply affects to them as well with the moon stones! Red Magic has a fire based affect that reps fire, mass destruction and pure power!
Metroid: Yellow magic focuses on electricity, power and virility. With Blue Magic, Vyse focuses on air, water, agility, motion and fluidity. With green magic, Vyse has a focuse on life, nature and vitality.
Thunder: Purple Magic got a focus on ice, will, spirit and the force of one's mind. And Silver Magic...basically focuses on life and death. Fun!
Metroid: But it isn't just for enhancing his strikes. Vyse knows spells with these magical abilities. With Green Magic, Vyse can use Aacri, Scares, Sacrum and Sacrulen to heal from damage, with Sacrulen even fully healing him. Noxi unleash bursts of poison gas, and Noxus makes a giant flood of poison gas.
Thunder: With Red Magic Vyse can make fire burst from below with Pyri, make Magma-Veins crack the ground with Pyres, summon Meteors with Pyrum, or make a focuse point of energy then straight up nuke ya with Pyrulen! And if Vyse needs to boost himself, he can increase his attack and defense with Increm for a 25% boost, or Incremus for a double boost!
Metroid: With Yellow Magic, Vyse can use Electri, which fires a bolt of electricity, or Electres, which fires a far more powerful bolt of electricity. Electrum has numerous lightning strikes strike down in a V-Shape, and Electrulen has Vyse charge up energy that results in a furiously growing ball of electricity embedded in the ground below his foot, Vyse unleashes a blinding blast forward at Bullet-like Speeds, ripping through his opponent within a V-Shape. Driln summons a static cloud that drains the enemy's fighting spirit and Drilhos does the same and drains HALF instead of a small bit of his foe's fighting spirit.
Thunder: With Blue Magic, Vyse can summon gusts of wind that forms blades of air with Wevli, with Wevles he does the same but way stronger with the floor ripping up, Wevlum shoots blast of ari and volley of air and water, and Wevulen makes three cyclones the not only rip up the arena, but send wind and water everywhere. Quika makes multiple columns that form into one, doubling Vyse's speed, and Slipara makes mystic energy that forms around a foes, making them fall asleep!
Metroid: Purple Magic allows Vyse to cast Crystali, encasing an opponent in a crystal that then shatters. Crystals forms a giant ice crystal below the opponent that implies them before shattering. Crystalum forms multiple crystals and dragging them down, crushing them. And Crystalen makes five to six icicles shoot down and implae the opponent, encasing them before it shatters. Sylenis makes a magic shell encased in Ring that actually silences foes, making them unable to cast spells, and Panika makes chaotic energy flow into the opponent's head, scrambling their mind.
Thunder: But when Vyse busts out the Silver Magic, you better run! With it, he can use Curia to heal from any potential negative status effects! But when he uses Enterni, Eternes or Eternum, he sends crystals down to stab his foes! If the effect works, it inflict instant death! Unless they can resist that kind of hax, or he uses Enterni, or Eternes, which have a chance at failing. He can also revive unconsicous allies but he's going solo here, so...
Metroid: Despite this, it is nothing compared to Vyse's special moves. With Cutlass Fury, Vyse performs two slashes and does a leap before a final blow. This does damage to an enemy to a normal physical attack multiplied by 2.5. There is also Counterstrike, which allows him to be able to counter physical that strikes at him.
Thunder: With Rain of Swords, Vyse leaps up into air, charges lightning and crosses his sword to send energy bolt crashing down onto some unfortunate folks! It does the physical attack multiplied by 1.5! If he uses Skull Shield, he summons the spirit of an ancient air pirate to protect him, acting as a counter too! Just not gonna work against magic or the foe's special moves.
Metroid: However, all are eclipsed by Vyse's strongest Super Move; Pirate's Wrath. Striking the opponent with a giant blot of lightning, then strikes them with in the shape of a Skull and crossbones. What's notable is that in this move seems to create a dimension filled with stars...that gets destroyed in the process of the attack.
Thunder: And then he just flies across the cosmos for the second part to land two powerful slashes that end with an explosion! God, that's just hardcore!
Metroid: In order for Vyse to destroy the dimension created from Pirate's Wrath, he'd have to strike with energy equivalent to 1.4093732e61 joules, or 140.9373 PetaFoe of TNT. And when he flies across the cosmos, he goes past many stars, implying he is moving at speeds faster than light.
Thunder: Although if Vyse is low on spirit points or MP, he ain't getting off the stronger attacks. But considering he has Magic Droplets which can give him any MP lost, boxes and crystals that allow him to cast spells with spirit points or MP, or just focusing to get Spirit Points, he's not really disadvantaged.
Metroid: Vyse journeyed across Arcadia, finding new landscapes and faced off against the Admirals of the Vaulan Empire. And while they do manage to awaken Gigases, with his friends and a good ship, Vyse was able to stop them before the Vaulan Empire could truly use them.
Thunder: Well, aside from Ramirez fusing with one but Vyse still killed him in the end. With saving the world, and even finding out the planet was actually round, Vyse wound up making his mark on the world way more than he thought!
Metroid: And even after all that, Vyse was still eager to explore, determined to find treasure, and adventure. Wherever excitement and journey may lead, Vyse, the Legend, will seek them out.
"Impossible is just a word for people to feel better when they give up."
Monkey D. Luffy stretches into DEATH BATTLE![]
Metroid: Once upon a time, there a man named Gol D. Roger. He had fame, power, and wealth beyond anyone's wildest dream. The reason being he was the King of the Pirates.
Thunder: But he got caught. But when he was about to be executed, the dude decided one last "fuck you" to the world was needed.
Metroid: He told all of a treasure known as the One Piece, a treasure so great, it would make them the new King of the Pirates. The issue is, the only thing known about it whereabouts, is that it's in the Grand Line.
Thunder: So Pirate's all over the world off after it! But, one was way more determined than the others to make sure he got to it first; Monkey D. Luffy!
Metroid: Luffy was born to Monkey D. Dragon and an unknown mother. Given to his grandfather, Monkey D. Garp, Luffy was abused in attempts to make him stronger.
Thunder: Being tied to balloons and sent into the sky, left behind in the woods at bight, and even being thrown into a ravine! Definitely not winning grandpa of the year.
Metroid: Then one day, the Red Haired Pirates stationed themselves at Fusha Village. Luffy, almost immediately, was memerized by them, and begged their leader, Shanks, to let him join. But sadly, Shanks didn't he was ready.
Thunder: He tried so many things, even stabbing himself below his eye to prove him tough enough! But while they didn't think he was ready for pirate work, he and Shanks got along pretty well.
Metroid: Then one day, Shanks brought with him a fruit. The fruit in question was actually a Devil Fruit, a fruit that grants people superpowers...at the cost of being able to swim. And Luffy ate it, assuming it was for him. See, this is why you don't leave food out when kids are around, they just assume it's for them and eat it! And Luffy ate Gum-Gum Fruit, which actually turned his body to rubber. This gave him the confidence to face those pirates that dared to attack Shanks.
Thunder: That...got him tossed into the ocean. Lucky for him, he was saved by Shanks, who lost his arm to a monster. Eh, you win some you lose some.
Metroid: With a promise to return Shanks' hat, Luffy soon set off on his own pirate once he was old enough. Aiming to find the One Piece, and become the new Pirate King.
BACKGROUND:
Alias: Strawhat Luffy
Age: 19
Height: 174 cm (5'9")
Bounty: 3,000,000,000 Berri
A Rubber Human
Dream: To become the Pirate King
At War with the World Government
Brother of the late Fire Fist Ace
Thunder: Remember that fruit he ate that made him rubber? Luffy managed to make actually deadly by making some techniques with it! He can stretch, bend, twist. and even inflate! And since rubber bounces back against physical strikes, and isn't a conducter, Luffy can just straight up ignore electrical and physical blows no problem!
Metroid: Bullets and cannonballs deal no damage and even bounce directly back at foes, high heights become barely a notable hazards to him, and he's even grown resistance to heat and poison based attacks. But with this stretching power, he can increase the range oh his physical blows, making him more dangerous, or grabbing an object o pull away from attacks.
Thunder: Would that include his di--
Metroid: Yes.
Thunder: Neat. Well, like any anime protag, Luffy's got abilities with his powers, like the Gomu Gomu no Pistol! Where he stretches his arm back and throws it at high speeds!
Metroid: It's essentially a straight punch with longer range. The more he spins it and stretches it, the stronger the blow will be. He has a variation called Gomu Gomu no Pistol Shot, where it just hits repeatedly. And with Gomu Gomu no Bullet, Luffy stretches his arm back before launching it out, for a single long ranged strike. With Gomu Gomu no Bazooka, Luffy reels both arms back and launches them forth, smashing them away, usually saving it for a finishing blow.
Thunder: With Gomu Gomu no Gatling Gun, Luffy unleashes a rapid barrage of punches so fast, that he looks like he has multiple arms during the attack! With Gomu Gomu no Cannon, Luffy builds up speed and momentum with an attack similar to Gatling Gun, then finishing with a double palm blow! And Gomu Gomu no Bowgun, where he grabs the opponent from behind, then repeatedly twists his torso around his hips, then grabbing them with his feet, then unraveling to send a sucker flying!
Metroid: There's also the Gomu Gomu no Ono, where Luffy stretches his foot up, the brings it down with enough force to wreck a building. With Gomu Gomu no Muchi, Luffy stretches a leg out to spin around rapidly in a wide circle to strike his foes. Gomu Gomu no Yami has him hold his feet together, with the bottoms holding each other, before kicking with his heels, coming off as a spearhead, which is similar to a Gomu Gomu no Stamp, which is the same thing...but with one foot.
Thunder: With Gomu Gomu no Tsuchi, Luffy grabs an opponent while twistin' his arms, then untwists them, spinning his opponent about before they crash to the floor! He has a variation called Gomu Gomu no Ozuchi, where he does in midair with his legs, and there's Gomu Gomu no Kama where he grabs onto something behind his foe then launches himself towards them, performing a clothesline in the process!
Metroid: When using Gomu Gomu no Kane, Luffy reels his head back while latching onto someone before flinging it forward, smashing his head into theirs, and with the Gomu Gomu no Baku Baku. Luffy can stretch his mouth wide enough to eat items or potentially swallow them whole, Gomu Gomu no Marunoko has him grab opponents from afar and wind himself up like a bow gun before kicking off the ground to headbutt a foe, and Gomu Gomu no Fussen, where Luffy inflates his body, making most projectiles bounce off his body towards his enemies.
Thunder: With Gomu Gomu no Kazan, Luffy lifts a foot up to Smash through a roof, and is used now and then to do Gomu Gomu no Storm, which is one of his strongest moves! He does a Gomu Gomu no Fussen and twists his body around tightly, then untwists and he blows the air out, launching him up and dishing out a GATLING GUN FINISHER! This even is stronger because of his launched momentum! He can do it in any direction, even down if airborne!
Metroid: Gomu Gomu no Ame lets Luffy does spinning rapid fire punch, or the Gomu Gomu no Hanabi, where he leaps into the air and spins around. then stretches his arms and legs like a rubble ball before unravelling, unleashing a fluurry of punches and kicks in every dirction due to his limbs bouncing back and forth.
Thunder: There's the variation known as Gomu Gomu no Tako Hanabi. His limbs bounce off of walls without losing speed. Because his limbs are limp, Luffy cannot predict or control where they will go if they ricochet off of an object, much less the opponent, and Gomu Gomu no Boh, where he becomes a dumbass and dodges on instinct...but can't fight back.
Metroid: In terms of defense, Luffy knows Gomu Gomu no Ami, where his fingers are entwined, making a net shape before stretching to make it big enough to trap foes who get close, or the Gomu Gomu no Tate, where he pulls his fingers on one hand and uses them catches blades between the fingers.
Thunder: He stretch his arm while slithering it like a snake to grab people with Gomu Gomu no Stretch Shot, and when he uses Gomu Gomu no UFO, he rotates the lower half of his body to levitate as a helicopter!
Metroid: And if the situation calls for it, Luffy can enter Gear 2nd, When activated, Luffy increases the size of his blood vessels, causing his blood to flow more quickly and pumping more oxygen and nutrients through his body. This allows him to increase his power and speed. There's also Gear 3rd, where Luffy blows air into his finger, inflating thew bones in it to bigger sizes and making it way more powerful.
Thunder: Even his bones are rubber?
Metroid: Yes, his bones and organs are rubber, which is why he has a big appetite. But sadly, despite all these incredible powers...Luffy was unable to save Ace from the Marines when he was captured and set to be executed. This grief led to him training for two whole years, and learning a crucial ability; Haki.
Thunder: Haki is essentially utilizing one's spiritual energy to aid them in various ways. There's three of 'em, and Luffy learned them all to kick ass!
Metroid: First is Armament Haki, which lets Luffy use his spiritual energy as a armor to defend against blows, and increase the damage of his strikes, and can apply it to his arms, legs, or even his whole body.
Thunder: Over time he even learned how to use an advanced version of it, letting him channel it into his enemies to destroy them from the inside out!
Metroid: The second one he learned is Observation Haki. It allows him to sense the presence, motions, and intent of others, allowing him be able to dodge earlier than any one else would. He's extremely proficient with it, even able to sense dodge from foes with no emotions.
Thunder: Hell, Luffy advanced this one as well, and now he can even see a little bit into the future!
Metroid: And finally, Luffy knows Conquerer's Haki. With a mere glare, it can make those with low willpower freeze up or even pass out from free, as it overpowers will.
Thunder: He somehow even applied this to his attacks, by combining it with Armament Haki, letting him hit foes without actually hitting 'em! But apparently he does it in a clumsy and crude manner so it's not too reliable...aside from the fact a Conquerer's Haki clash between him and Kaido split the skies!
Metroid: Luffy also uses Haki for some new attacks in Gear 3rd. For instance, Elephant Gun has him pump air into his fist to increase it's mass, the uses Haki to harden it before using Gigant Pistol to smash it into his opponent.
Thunder: If he uses Elephant Thor Gun, Luffy heads into the air with Gomu Gomu no Rocket, before striking, electricity discharging from the strike! With Elephant Gatling Gun, he basically does Gomu Gomu no Gatling Gun, but bigger and Haki'd!
Metroid: Grizzly Magnum has Luffy enlarges and imbues both arms with Haki, he stretches them back and does an open palm strike. And this move doesnt require Haki, Gomu Gomu no Tsuppari has him enlarge his arms and does an open palm strike, and finally, Gigant Tsuppari, where he stretches his arm back, then as he launches it forward, inflates it greatly and land a giant open palm strike.
Thunder: But once he goes Gear 4, Luffy's getting serious! By coating his arm in Armament Haki, Luffy bites into his forearm and blows a shitton of air throughout his WHOLE body, increasing his muscular structure AND coating his limbs and upper torso in Armament Haki! Also he gets some slick mascara.
Metroid: There are several forms of Gear 4. The first is Boundman, where his body becomes warped and his body is bigger. He is constantly emitting steam in this mode, and is incapable of standing still, now bouncing on the spot. He can now fly, and even redirect his punches instead of retracting them, allowing him to make a homing attack.
Thunder: And he's got some cool tricks here too! Gomu Gomu no Kong Gun has him compress his fist into the large forearm he has and does single devasting blow that can launch people far! And with King Kong Gun, Luffy blows air into his arm he does Kong Gun, making it WAY stronger!
Metroid: Rhino Schneider has him compress his legs before doing a flying dropkick, capable of knocking foes through several buildings, and Leo Bazooka and Kong Rifle, which is just a Gear 4 version of Gomu Gomu no Bazooka and Gomu Gomu no Rifle.
Thunder: And with Gomu Gomu no Kong Organ, Luffy does a rapid fire Kong Gun! After compressing both fists into his arms, he moves them horizontally in a rapid fashion to the point afterimages of two extra arms appear, before a barrage of punches emerge!
Metroid: There's two more forms, like Tankman, but that Gear 4 form is only if Luffy got immensely fat before activating. But Snakeman is not situational. It's skinny and relies on speed and homing strikes. In this form, any blow he misses will keep accelerating in speed until it hits it's mark.
Thunder: With Gomu Gomu no Jet Culverin, Luffy does a extremely fast strike that homes in and hits like a truck, and Black Mamba is a rapid fire Gomu Gomu no Kong Gun that homes in on foes and gets faster and stronger the more they're dodged!
Metroid: But if things are extremely dire, and Luffy needs to resort to a trump card, Luffy can access his strongest Gear yet; Gear 5.
Thunder: You'd think it'd be something extremely God-like, something like Ultra Instinct, right? Well, kinda. Luffy in Gear 5 basically becomes a Looney Tunes character!
Metroid: Gear 5 lets Luffy, apparently, do whatever he wants, the only limit being his imagination! If a dragon swallows him whole, he just bounces around wildly then escape through the eyes, no gore or anything. If he smacks the ground, it shakes about as if made of rubber. If he gets burned by fires, he just gets covered in soot and shakes it off. If he wants to speed up, he'll run in place to the point his fight become a figure eight and he blasts off.
Thunder: While cool, note that uh, Gear 5 has a bit of a time limit. Hell if Gear 4 is overused he'll be dropped back to base form, and can't transform back or use Armament Haki for 10 minutes!
Metroid: And while Luffy's rubber body is able to handle blunt force, bladed weaponry or blows will damage him as rubber is able to be cut.
Thunder: Still, that's gonna be stupidly hard since Luffy is one fast son of a gun! In the latest chapter, Kizaru duplicates by splitting into various light beams with each one becoming a clone! And how does Luffy deal with this? Stamping his feet and curving it, implying them all in seconds, shish kabob style! Or y'know, being able to strike the ground so hard you trigger an underwater volcano to erupt!
Metroid: In the end, Luffy may just have what it takes to become the Pirate King.
"I've set myself to become the King of Pirates... and if I die trying... then at least I tried!"
Prelude[]
Metroid: Alright, the combatants are set, and we've run the data through all possibilities.
Thunder: It's time for a DEATH BATTLE!
Pre-Fight[]
In a unknown village within the skies, the pub was filled with stunned on-lookers. And it wasn't something horrible or so, but rather, just amazing in general.
Currently, a pirate was eating a rapid-fire amount of food. Bowls were scattered everywhere, as the person eating in question put his 30th bowl down.
"Ahh...that was great!" The person in question spoke. He was a pirate, but probably one of the more well known ones; Monkey D. Luffy. "Can I get another?"
"A-Another?" The waitress questioned, before sighing and making a new bowl. "Here you go..."
Meanwhile, across the pub was another building, one where many could get info. Vyse, the Blue Rogue, was looking through the wanted list, seeing many tempting candidates.
However, Vyse would then spot a particular one, the bounty of Luffy. "Smashed up other pirate ships for fun and left them for dead, stole from the poor..." He then glanced to the bounty.
"Three Billion...?!" Vyse gawked. "That would be more than enough for the village, and others!" Rolling the paper up, Vyse dashed off with a smirk.
And with Luffy finally full, the two stepped out to see each other. Almost wondering how he could be THIS lucky, Vyse spoke. "You're Monkey D. Luffy, right?"
"Yep, that's me! You need something?" Luffy asked, before seeing Vyse draw his cutlasses. "Name'e Vyse, a Blue Rogue. I'm here to take your bounty."
"Oh, that..." Luffy spoke, before putting his fists up. "We'll you better bet I ain't going with ya without a fight!"
Vyse spun his Cutlasses, giving a smirk to the Straw Hat. "Listen, I'm not one to fight those who are unarmed, so unless you got a weapon, I'll be--"
Luffy suddenly threw a punch that stretched across the room, prompting Vyse to yell "What the--?!" before being struck. The blow was strong enough to launch him out of the town, and into the forest.
Gritting his teeth, Vyse stood up, and saw Luffy leaping over. "Interesting magic you got..." Vyse said, before preparing the fight. "But I'll learn from my mistakes."
"Shishishi! Alright, let's get this on!" Luffy declared, as he leaped over, the fight beginning.
Fight[]
(Skies of Arcadia - Battle Theme 1)
Luffy started things off by stretching his arm forward, but this time, Vyse sidestepped before rushing forth and jumping up to slash at the Strawhat Captain. Luffy quickly grabbed a nearby tree branch and pulled himself away, kicking Vyse in the chin and knocking him back.
Landing on the ground, Luffy faced Vyse and stretched his arm back. "Gomu Gomu no...." He then launched his fist forward. "PISTOL!"
"WHOA!" Vyse barely was able to roll to the side, seeing the fist smash apart a tree. Turning to Luffy, Vyse reeled his cutlasses back and swung, an energy blade flying out. Luffy effortlessly dodged, but was in awe at what he saw.
"That's so cool!" Luffy yelled as Vyse ran in. "Oh, you haven't seen anything yet!" Vyse declared, as he went in and went in for a thrust.
"Gomu Gomu no Tate!" Luffy pulled his fingers, catching the Blade between his fingers, much to the surprise of the Blue Rogue before kicking him in the stomach, then stretching both arms behind him. "Gomu Gomu no Jet Bazooka!"
The double strike blew Vyse back, and the magic user slammed through a rock that made him tumble a bit. After holding his head, Vyse looked up to see Luffy running up to him, and pulled out an Electres Boz to conserve on magic.
"This should work!" An electrical blast emerged and rushed towards the Strawhat. The electric spell engulfed Luffy...but he went through, performing another technique.
"Gomu Gomu no Gatling Gun!" The barrage of fists struck Vyse, striking him all over before a final blow launched him into a cave. Gritting his teeth, Vyse stood up as Luffy landed near him.
"You're pretty good if you're able through that. How'd you do that?" Vyse asked. "Shishishi! I'm a rubber man, that electric attack can't hurt me!" Luffy spoke, as he pulled his cheek, stretching it before it slapped back
"Alright, I'll keep that in mind." Vyse noted, then quickly ran in and did another slash. Luffy evaded it, and stretched his arm back. "Gomu Gomu no Bullet!"
His arm slung out, but Vyse this time dodged and yelled "Moons, give me strength!"
The winds suddenly turned into blades, but Luffy, once more, evaded the attacks. Closing the distance, Luffy lunged forth. "Gomu Gomu no Baku Baku!"
Vyse's eyes widened when he saw the attack that was heading his way, and he was quick to hold the jaws back. Grunting, Vyse lifted Luffy over his head, before tossing him over his head, slamming him into a wall.
Luffy stood up, and spotted Vyse coming closer. He was ready to evade, and did so...but this time, Vyse was able to slightly cut his arm.
"AGH!" Luffy yelled, as he looked at the small wound. "D...Damn it!" Vyse, however, stood tall. "Listen, I'm willing to take you alive if you--"
"Shut up!" Luffy yelled, doing another Gatling Gun barrage. "Gomu Gomu no Cannon!" Doing a double palm strike, Vyse was send flying through the cave wall and back into the forest.
Jumping back to his feet, Vyse looked to where Luffy punched him through and saw him stretching his arms while twisting them. "Gomu Gomu no..." He began unraveling his arms, spinning Vyse around rapidly. "...Tsuchi!"
Vyse was soon slammed into the ground as a result of the attack, but was quick to get back on his feet. Thinking quick, Vyse used Pyri. The result was Lifgy being blasted by fire, sending forward.
But just as Vyse was ready to attack, Luffy lifted his foot and planted it into Vyse's chest, launching him away and slamming him into a tree. Luffy then stretched his head back. "Gomu Gomu no Kane!"
His head launched forth, and Luffy's head slammed right into Vyse, breaking the tree he was against in half. The Blue Rogue tumbled across the grass, and leaped away from another attack. He then got up, seeing Luffy leap in once more.
"Gomu Gomu no Pistol Shot!" Luffy's arm struck multiple times, but this time Vyse blocked each one and retaliated via Crystali, encasing Luffy in ice before he could react....then shattering, knocking Luffy away.
Getting up, a bit disorientated, Luffy looked over to Vyse. "Shishi...you're pretty tough to take all my blows so far!" Luffy spoke, as Vyse chuckled. "You too. You're extremely fast, I barely landed hits!"
"Then let's kick things up a notch!" Luffy declared, before punching the ground. His body then turned a shade of red as steam began to emit from his body, then he looked up. "Gear 2nd!"
(One Piece: Pirate Warriors - Gear Second)
Vyse was quick to cast Pyres, but Luffy leaped up to evade. "Gomu Gomu no Snake Shot!" His arm slithered like a snake as it approached Vyse, forcing Vyse to roll away to evade damage. Within moments, Vyse was leaping at Luffy, who retracted his arm to do another technique.
"Gomu Gomu no Ame!" His hands formed into the shape of a net, causing Vyse to get stuck. "How the-" Before Vyse could process thus, he was thrown through the forest, slamming against a few tree branches.
"Ngh...wait, I got it." Vyse decided to cast Pyrum, seeing meteors towards Luffy. The Strawhat responded by inflating his body. "GOMU GOMU NO FUSSEN!"
The Meteors right off, sending them all towards Vyse, who was now forced to evade each and every one of them. Soon enough he was able to successful evade all of them, but was met by Luffy grabbing him and twisting his body, akin to a bowgun.
"Gomu Gomu no Marunoko!" Luffy kicked himself off the ground, and headbutted Vyse further down. Skidding back, Vyse casted Wevles, the ground ripping apart as Luffy was hit by the blades of wind.
Gritting his teeth, Luffy stretched his leg high up. "Gomu Gomu no Ono!" With the attack name cried, Luffy dropped his foot down, Vyse leaping away as the floor behind got blown apart.
"He relies alot on keeping the pressure going. With how fast he is, I can't get a blow in." Vyse thought to himself. "But if I keep taking his blows, he might tire out and can land a hit, that should be the end of it."
Luffy's arm stretched past Vyse's head, grabbing onto a tree branch. "Gomu Gomu no Kama!" The rubber boy pulled himself forth, Vyse just barely blocking the blow, the clothesline slamming him back a bit. Vyse stood tall, using a Scari Crystal to heal up.
"Hey, come on! You can just heal up?!" Luffy complained as Vyse brushed some dirt off his clothes. "Hey, best you come prepared for anything."
Luffy just shrugged, before leaping forward and attempting to crush Vyse. "Gomu Gomu no Stamp!" Vyse saw Luffy's leg fly down akin to a spear head, and held his sword up to hold it back. The attack clashed against his blade as he pushed him off...just for Luffy to clamp his feet together.
"Gomu Gomu no Yami!" Luffy performed Gomu Gomu no Stamp once again, but this time with both feet. Vyse rolled aside this one, and went to slice his legs. Sadly for him, Luffy retracted immediately and dropped to the ground is reeled his leg back.
"Gomu Gomu no Muchi!" Luffy sweeped his leg out, hitting Vyse hard in the back. He was sent flying away, but landed on his feet, and saw Luffy leaped into the air once again.
"Gomu Gomu no Hanabi!" Wrapped up in a ball, Luffy's limbs were released, sending them everywhere. "Crap, gotta move!" Vyse yelled, constantly trying to dodge and weave. A few managed to hit him here and there, but the Blue Rogue got out relatively unscathed.
At least until Luffy's foot slammed into his head, making him fly off the floor with a yell. Luffy then inflated himself letting the air out, allowing him to rise up after Vyse. "Gomu Gomu no..." The Strawhat rose up towards the Blue Rogue and began to go all in. "...STORM!!!!!"
The barrage of punches overwealmed Vyse, and he was sent above the forest before painfully crashing down. Luffy landed, panting, but grinning. "How's that...?"
His smile faded, however, as Observation Haki alerted him to look up, but it was too late; Vyse had rushed up and slashed at him. That wasn't all, Vyse now performed a second slash, Luffy gaining wounds from the blows, before an upwards slash, with the Blue Rogue leaping up and lifting the cutlasses overhead.
"CUTLASS FURY!" Vyse slashed down, and a big explosion emerged that launched a screaming Luffy into a giant rock, his body slumping. Vyse took a few deep breaths, then approached, putting his cutlasses away. "With a bounty of 3 billion, I was expecting a really hard fight...but that wasn't so bad."
But the second Vyse got close, Luffy looked up and glared, Conquerer's Haki being activated. It...didn't affect Vyse, but he was surprised by the fact Luffy was still conscious. "BACK OFF!!" Luffy yelled, blowing into his finger and inflating his arm into a giant that was coated in Armament Haki. "ELEPHANT GUN!"
The blow launched Vyse into the air, and Luffy leaped up with Gomu Gomu no Rocket. Vyse looked down, and casted Cystalum, ice crystals charging down to stab Luffy. However, he used another technique. "Gomu Gomu no Tsuppari to shatter them, then rushed above Vyse.
"ELEPHANT THOR GUN!" Luffy's yell filled Vyse's ears as he was punched with electrical discharge, a scream of pain being elected from Vyse as he was launched through the air.
That wasn't all though, as Luffy went in, using Elephant Gatling Gun, actually drawing blood from Vyse, due to Armament Haki's ability to attack things internally.
"Grizzly Magnum!" Luffy yelled as he prepared a giant double palm strike, the fists flying closer to Vyse's face. However, this time he took a defensive stance. "JUST TRY IT!"
The two fists struck, making Vyse grit his teeth as he was launched. The issue is, Vyse actually performed Counterstrike, so he immediately rushed in a struck, giving a bad wound to Luffy's back. With the opponent open, Vyse used Wevlum, causing a volley of air and water to strike Luffy, sending him tumbling and struggling to stand.
Vyse looked over, and decided to make sure Luffy would stay down. He casted Pyrulen, and the firey attack engulfed Luffy....
...At least, Vyse though. As the fire came close, Luffy quickly stretched his arm to grab a tree nearby and pulled away, barely escaping the attack. After that, he stared at Vyse, and smirked.
Hearing some noise behind him, Vyse's eyes widened as he saw Luffy approaching...but he was hulking out, with giant muscles. "What in the world--" A strike to the face made Vyse tumble across the ground, before he looked up to see his opponent.
Luffy had activated Gear 4.
"What happened to you?!" Vyse exclaimed as Luffy just laughed. "I've activated Gear 4! So, get ready! I'm gonna make sure you lose!" The Strawhat exclaimed as Vyse just slowly smirked. "Make sure I lose, huh...?" Vyse muttered before walking forward. "Heh. I like your attitude, but I'm not gonna give up. Because to me..." He lifted his cutlasses up. "Nothing's impossible! That's just a word people say to feel good about giving up!"
Luffy leaped forth, swinging a giant fist at the Blue Rogue. "Pirates of old...defend my cause!" Vyse cried, as a skeletal pirate appeared, before vanishing right after. And so, when Luffy punched Vyse...he barely budged.
Vyse had casted Skull Shield to make a magic shield around him. Confused, Luffy reeled his hand into his forearm. "Gomu Gomu no Kong Gun!" He launched his fist out, striking Vyse once more...just to slightly push Vyse back. "My turn." Vyse replied, before casting Crystalen and making six crystal fly down towards Luffy.
Blowing air into his arm, Luffy threw a another attack. "KING KONG GUN!" The blow outright SHATTERED the crystals to dust, before Luffy focused on Vyse again.
"Rhino Schneider!" Luffy's legs compressed themselves into his body before he launched it out, hitting Vyse's square in the face, but once again, Skull Shield lessened the blow, launching Vyse not as far. Planting his feet on the ground, Vyse looked up to see Luffy FLYING towards him.
Quickly thinking, Vyse casted Eterni, which means various crystals striked Luffy. Vyse wasn't too lucky, however, as Luffy was not inflicted with installation. "LEO BAZOOKA!" Luffy struck the face of his opponent, before going for the finish. "GOMU GOMU NO KONG ORGAN!" Luffy yelled, as Vyse leaped upwards. "Rain of Swords!" Luffy's fists collided with Vyse's energy blades, making them explode.
But within the smoke, Vyse casted Slipara, hitting Luffy directly...and causing him to fall asleep. With an opportunity now present, Vyse leaped forth...and slashed through Luffy.
A pained grunt came as Gear 4's time limit came, causing Luffy to fall to the ground, bleeding heavily. Vyse looked over, panting as he casted Sacrulen to fully heal. Meanwhile, Luffy's heartbeat began to slow by the moment...
Then it began to beat in a funny manner. Luffy, who's consciousness had faded, slowly began to regain it. Suddenly, he was engulfed in a bright light as Vyse shielded his eyes. "Oh, what now....?"
Laughter filled the air as soon Luffy was floating in the air, his body now having a white glow.
(One Piece - Luffy Vs. Doflamingo Finale (TV Remix))
Luffy had activated Gear 5. All he did was continously laugh as Vyse pulled out a Magic Droplet and used it to refill his MP; he had a feeling he'd need to the big ones for this.
But before he could do a single thing, Luffy's fist grew giant and he was grabbed, before Luffy began to spin his arm around, Vyse yelling as he was spun in circles, his eyes leaving afterimages akin to a rubberhose cartoon.
Luffy then threw Vyse away (accompanied by him screaming) as Luffy revved his feet up into a figure eight. "I'm gonna be King of the Pirates!" Luffy declared as he leaped up...then grew huge. "And no one's gonna stop me! Gomu Gomu no Gigant!"
He would step on Vyse, leaving a giant imprint of his slipper in the ground. Luffy would then proceed to rapidly stomp down, making a deeper indent and for blood to spill out of Vyse's mouth, his internals being destroyed more and more.
However, despite his agony, Vyse lifted a Cutlass up, Luffy stepping on it...and, as a result, lifting his foot up and screaming comically as Vyse was lifted with it, throwing him into the air.
Vyse casted Panika as Luffy went back to normal and leaped up to him. Vyse closed his eyes....as the area surrounding them turned into a realm with stars. Charging up magical power, Vyse unleashed a giant wave of lightning at Luffy. "PIRATE'S WRATH!"
Luffy grinned when he saw the upcoming attack.....and grabbed it, rolling it up into a hall and throwing it, making the Blue Rogue scream in pain as he was struck by his own attack. "Time for the finish! BAJRANG GUN!"
The attack, involving one last giant punched moved...but funny enough, Luffy struck himself. Remember when Vyse casted Panika earlier? Simply put, Luffy's scrambled mind made him mis-aim and strike himself! With him flying towards Vyse, the Blue Rogue grinned as he went for a final attack.
With one slash, Luffy was stunned. With a second, Luffy was flung into the air. With one final leap, Vyse brought the cutlasses down with a war cry, slicing through Luffy and causing the entire dimension they were in to blow to pieces.
(Music stops)
The destruction partially came to the forest they fought in. Vyse landed, wiping blood from his mouth as he breathed heavily, and looked up to see a Straw Hat gently falling down in front of him.
With a sigh of relief, Vyse slumped back and laid on the ground. "Phew...that was a tough fight..."
Results[]
Thunder: I'm generally wondering how Vyse is gonna carry three billion back with him...
Metroid: This fight was way more close than it looked on paper. First and foremost, Vyse had a huge strange advantage, as he could destroy stars while Luffy at best can cause an underwater volcano to erupt with Bajrang Gun. But, Luffy's speed was far superior, being able to strike numerous light beings at once while Vyse's speed is merely flying through space.
Thunder: And while Vyse is tough enough to take attacks similar to his power level, if Luffy uses Armament Haki, he could bypass durability since it can attack things from the inside!
Metroid: So this battle was mainly on who had the better abilities overall. Luffy's rubber body meant he had a lot of versatility, and he had better techniques. Not only that, his resistance to poison made any spells involving them become less effective, and all of Vyse's electrical spells were essentially useless.
Thunder: But Vyse is a smart guy! Both are pretty combat smart, but Vyse is the only one of the two to also be smart in general. Navigating, and such. But also, he's more willing to search for weaknesses of his foes. Sure, Luffy does too, but he usually relies on punching first.
Metroid: And Luffy's weaknesses were pretty easy; his rubber body was not resilient to blades, which is Vyse's main combat tool. Combine that with the possibility of fire and ice, since rubber in real life actually can melt rubber or make it brittle, Vyse had many ways to hurt him.
Thunder: Sure, Vyse's spells do have limited magic points, but a few Magic Droplets and Vyse is ready to start spamming them again! And some can make Luffy fall asleep, gave his mind be utterly scrambled, or even insta-kill him if the chance of it working was successful!
Metroid: While the Gear forms could increase Luffy's strength and speed to higher ranks, they haven't reached Vyse's sheer might. And with limited time limit on Gear 4 and Gear 5, Luffy would not have enough time to kill Vyse.
Thunder: Sure, Luffy may have training and is stronger, but Vyse had dealt with people like that before. Gear 5's toon powers may overwealm the kid but it's not exactly full on Looney Tunes level of toon force; it's kinda like the ten bucks version of it. Good, but could be WAY better.
Metroid: And even with Aramament Haki, Vyse's Skull Shield could fend off potentially lethal strikes, as it is a magical shield that Luffy will have to bypass first. And with all the impossible odds Vyse had overcome, it's unlikely he'd fall to Conquerer's Haki. In the end, both characters had many chances they take each other out, but Vyse's cunning mind, plethora of spells and absurd power asserted his victory.
Thunder: Yeah, sadly, Luffy wasn't coming out of this in One Piece.
Metroid: The winner is Vyse.
