Having showed an aptitude for pyrokinesis, Claire Selton was abducted by General Eiling's military branch to involuntarily serve her country as a test subject in an attempt to replicate the results of Martin Stien's Project F.I.R.E.S.T.O.R.M. The end result is an quantum spliced metahuman code-named Volcana, who becomes a fugitive and later villain.
