This is UltimateYxR third Death Battle, featuring Vilgax from the Ben 10 franchise and Bowser from the Mario franchise.

Description

[S1 EP3] Cartoon Network vs Nintendo. These villians are characterized for not giving up until achieving their goals, no matter how many times they are defeated. Vilgax will have the means to win this fight? Or will Bowser show to be better than the "most dangerous being in the universe"?

Interlude

(Cues Death Battle (Former) Theme - Invader)

Sonic: For accomplishing their goals, some villains need a special power, an special object, or something like. And they will never give up until they get it, no matter how many times they are defeat.

Ruby: Like Vilgax, the intergalactic conquer from Ben 10.

Sonic: Or Bowser, the king of the koopas.

Ruby: He's Sonic and I'm Ruby.

Sonic: And it's our to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who will win a Death Battle.

Vilgax

(UltimateYxR's Note: For this fight, I will be using Vilgax from the original Ben 10 and from Alien Force)

(Cues Encephalonus IV - Ben 10: Vilgax Attacks (PS2))

Ruby: In the planet known as Galvan Prime, there was a particular Galvan known as Azmuth.

Sonic: Azmuth was a very respected scientist, thanks to his creations and inventions; including his most powerful creation of all times, the Omnitrix.

Ruby: The Omnitrix was a tool of peace Azmuth created in an act of repentance following the destruction caused by his previous creation, Ascalon, a weapon of terrible power.

Sonic: This watch allows his user to alter his DNA, transforming him into an alien; but like any type of powerful object, there were some people who want it for his own benefits. Including a big, walking, talking squid-face called Vilgax.

Ruby: After being exiled from his home planet -Vilgaxia- for “ambitious disobence”, Vilgax witnessed the power of the Omnitrix while aiding Maltruant due to time traveling.

Sonic: Obviously, Vilgax became obsessed with the Omnitrix, so he made his goal to acquire it, so he could create a robot army with access to the DNA of different alien races, all of them being at his command.

Ruby: But, while his ship was fighting another one, which had the Omnitrix; the second ship blew up part of Vilgax’s ship, and launch the Omnitrix to Earth to keep it save from Vilgax.

Sonic: You may think that must stop Vilgax, but no, he survived. And it didn’t stop his wish to obtain the Omnitrix either; so, while he was regenerating from the explosion, Vilgax sent to Earth several robots, bounty-hunters, cyborgs and more to get the Omnitrix.

Ruby: But after seeing that everything that he sent failed to get the Omnitrix, and after fully recovering from the explosion, he decided to do it by himself.

Sonic: And since he’s a Chi… Chime… *bad pronounced* Chimera… Sui… Generis -or something like that-, his powers help him a lot.

Sonic: His powers include enhanced strength; hand-to-hand combat skills; and, despite his enormous size, he has tremendous agility.

Ruby: In his powers also include an incredible durability, which let him tanked Swampfire’s fire blasts and Chromastone‘s laser beams like nothing.

Sonic: So this guy is super strong, surprisingly agile and extremely durable; but that’s not all, like any other Chimera… whatever it’s called, he can transform into his true form whenever in water; and by true form, I mean a giant octopus.

Ruby: With these powers, Vilgax was sure that he will obtain the Omnitrix once and for all… But when he met the user of it -Ben Tennyson-, he was proved to be wrong, since Ben was able to defeat him in many occasions, most of them with outside help, but it still counts; until Ben gained access to one of his most powerful aliens, if his not the most powerful, Way Big; finally defeating Vilgax once and for all, and for avoiding him to come back, Ben trapped Vilgax into the prison-like dimension known as Null Void.

Sonic: But, surprise! Not even that was enough to stop Vilgax… Yep this guy is insane, no, he’s really insane, or at least he grew partially insane during his time in the Null Void. But he appeared to have recovered from that insanity by Alien Force.

Ruby: Speaking of Alien Force, Vilgax obtain a better arsenal during the Alien Force series; let’s start from the beginning, shall we?

(Cues Anur Phaetos - Ben 10: Vilgax Attacks (PS2))

Ruby: During his time imprisoned in the Null Void, his hatred for Ben grew to the point that he seems to want to kill him as much as, if not more than, getting the Omnitrix.

Sonic: When he finally escaped from Null Void, Vilgax started a campaign to conquer 10 worlds, defeating their champions and stealing their powers and abilities, adding them to his own arsenal.

Powers (Stolen)

Ruby: These new powers include an enhanced hearing, being able to hear sounds that are too faint for the normal hearing; the ability to flight at high speeds; be able to survive in space; and a wind breath, which is so powerful that can cause cyclones-like winds.

Sonic: But the additions don’t stop there, because he also was given cybernetics enhancements, becoming much taller and obtaining better abilities.

Ruby: These cybernetics enhancements includes near invulnerability and a new, increased strength; if you don’t considered him ridiculously strong yet, prepared yourself because he can increase his strength even further thanks to a boost steroids, though this gave him great pain.

Sonic: But he also came with powerful weaponry starting with the Ruby Ray of Ulo, which considerably weaken Ultimos in one-shot, and according to Vilgax himself most people would die after just taking one-shot.

Ruby: Then is his gauntlet which has three different functions; first is the Shield of Ziegel, which generates a powerful personal force shield that protects his whole body, and is tough enough to blocked Ultimo’s punches, Jetray’s neuroshock blasts and the guns of a spaceship, not only that but it also can let Vilgax cut clean through that same spaceship.

Sonic: But that shield is anything but indestructible since it has been shattered by Diamondhead’s exploding crystals shards. The second function of Vilgax’s gauntlet is a taser, which let him catch and shock Big Chill while being intangible. And its last function is the ability to coat Vilgax’s hands in light energy, so he can use them as boxing gloves.

Ruby: The last thing in Vilgax weaponry is his sword; which can project beam, and coat its blade in either flames for more power, or crystals for deflecting any type of energy beams.

Sonic: Even without the flames or the crystals, this sword is incredibly sharp, able to easily cut though stone, Chromastone, and even an entire space ship with a single stroke.

Ruby: With all this new arsenal of powers and weaponry, Vilgax go back to have his revenge against Ben.

Sonic: And there’s no need to say that he did many impressive feats, in both Ben 10 original and Alien Force series.

Ruby: He defeated Humungousaur, Manny and Ultimo; smashed a mountain with his bare hands; survived a point-blank nuclear explosion; and recovered from an explosion caused by the Omnitrix in just mere seconds.

Sonic: He has also tanked Heatblast’s most powerful heatwaves like nothing; can fly through space without a ship, where he was seemingly able to breathe without any visible equipment and pass through Earth's atmosphere with no damage at all; and he once stopped XLR8, who was running at full-speed. Keeping in mind that a Kineceleran’s…

Ruby: Kine-what?

Sonic: XLR8’s specie.

Ruby: Oh.

Sonic: Keeping in mind that a Kineceleran’s top speed is 500 mph | 800 km/h

Ruby: Holy freak now that’s fast. And Vilgax had no problems on stopping this speedy alien.

Sonic: But like any other villain, Vilgax is not perfect; he might be extremely durable, but he is limited to how much damage he can take.

Ruby: Not only that, Vilgax durability can be overwhelmed with enough force. And, like the rest of his species, if Vilgax is in his true form and becomes too weak he will be unable to revert into his humanoid form.

Sonic: But that will not stop him for accomplishing his goal of obtaining the Omnitrix, they don’t call him “The most dangerous being in the universe” for nothing.

Vilgax: I have come too far to be denied. The Omnitrix shall be mine, and there is not being in the galaxy that dares standing in my way.

Bowser

Ruby: The Mushroom Kingdom. Now, isn’t this a place where you can live happily and peacefully?

Sonic: Not at all, the inhabitants of the Mushroom Kingdom have to deal with a big trouble. There is one name that cause fear in the inhabitants of the Mushroom Kingdom, the king of the koopas, Bowser.

Sonic: King Bowser Koopa lived a dream. He will conquer the Mushroom Kingdom by turning all his inhabitants into bricks. But unfortunately for him, Princess Peach had the gall to undo his enhancements.

Ruby: Naturally, Bowser had only one sensible option: he snatched her up and locked her away in his castle. With the princess out of the picture, Bowser finally had it all… Until the Mario brothers showed up and procured his petulant princess.

Sonic: But that defeat did anything but stop him. ‘Cuz I guess villains don’t know the meaning of ‘giving up’.

Ruby: Well technically is because Bowser’s great tenacity, but that works too. And his tenacity is not the only thing that Bowser has.

Ruby: Bowser count with immense strength, a really tough shell…

Ruby: …Which can shoot the spikes that are impaled on it?! That’s so cool!

Sonic: That doesn’t stop there since Bowser can use a few weapons; like hammers, spiked balls or mecha-koopas; his skin is tough enough to resist lava, and lava can reach temperatures of nearly 2200 ºF | exactly 1200 ºC. And since he’s part dragon he has a fire breath.

Ruby: Let’s not forget that he’s also magic which let him teleport, shape shift into anything he want or increase his size to be as big as a transforming castle, so he can fight it! Ok, I not a fan of villains but I can’t help but admit that Bowser is awesome. Also, since he’s one of the 7 star children, Bowser has a star embedded in his heart.

Sonic: Finally, Bowser count with a status called 'Fury', according to this blocky guy while being under the effect of this status, the damage that Bowser dealts and recives increase. With all that being said you can imagine how ridiculous Bowser’s feats are, but don’t worry, you don’t have to since where here to tell them.

Sonic: Despite being the king of the koopas Bowser is fast enough to outrun lions, which top speed is nearly 50 mph | exactly 80 km/h.

Ruby: And remember when we said that Bowser’s skin is tough enough to resist lava? Well it can also resist the surface of a star which is really, REALLY hot, being able to reach temperatures from 2000 ºC to 50000 ºC | 3632 ºF to 90032 ºF.

Sonic: Remember when we also mention Bowser’s immense strength? Well there he is, throwing back to his castle a giant cannon ball!

Ruby: That's not insane enough for you? Then, looks this, Bowser is towing an island. AN ISLAND!!!

Sonic: And let’s not forget mentioning how tough is Bowser; being able to survive a supernova, which is an explosion equivalent to 10 octillion megatons; survived being crushed by giant objects like his castle or Peach’s castle.

Ruby: But his biggest durability feat is when he tanked the collapse of his Galaxy Reactor, while being extremely fatigued, and the Galaxy Reactor [stated to threaten the very fabric of the universe] … But then we go back to one thing, he’s a villain. So, despite Bowser’s tenacity to accomplished his wish to conquer the Mushroom Kingdom, he’s not good at accomplishing it.

Sonic: Right; Bowser is really cocky, always underestimating his opponent; and to top that, he’s a fucking idiot.

Ruby: I thing that’s exaggerating.

Sonic: He always has traps in his castle that, in the end, are always used against him. And, instead of learning from these flaws, he continues building them.

Ruby: …Never mind; but even after 30 years of constant defeats, Bowser have always come back. Stronger, deadlier and way more tenacious.

Bowser: GWAHAHA! Great dark hurricane! Seriously, perfect backdrop for an awesome final battle! You really sweat the details! ...Listen up! You're saying the kingdom will vanish? NOT TODAY! THIS KINGDOM IS ALL MINE! SO YOU VANISH!

Pre-Fight

Sonic: Alright, the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all!

Ruby: IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTLEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

DEATH BATTLE!

(Cues Bowser! - Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story)

Through the sky of the night, there was a flying ship heading to the Mushroom Kingdom, inside of it there was a certain enormous, magic, dragon-turtle who was known as the king of the koopas, Bowser.

Bowser: *Evil laugh* In just a few moments, I will be arriving on the Mushroom Kingdom. Now that I have thought a new plan I will finally conquer the Mushroom Kingdom, and this time not even Mario will be able to stop me!

Bowser laugh evilly again, really convinced that this time his plan will work.

Little he knows that there will be someone that will interfere in his plan, and is not Mario.

While Bowser laughs, a koopa comes inside the room really quick, panting.

Koopa: Sir!!!!

Bowser: *Turning to the koopa* How many times I have to tell you to not interrupt me while I laugh evilly!!

Koopa: *Scared* S-s-s-sir, I h-h-h-ha-have to tell you s-s-s-some-some-something.

Bowser: It better be important.

Koopa: Well… W-we have arrived on the Mushroom Kingdom, but…

Bowser: *Impatiently* But what?!

Just when Bowser said that he started to hear screams, Bowser went outside to see what was happening. He was greeted with a view of the Mushroom Kingdom being destroyed; some of the buildings have being reduced to rubble, the Toads were running for their lives, there was fire almost everywhere.

Bowser: What the hell happened here?

Bowser had a view of a nearly completely destroyed Mushroom Kingdom, but then he saw some type of laser beams coming from the front yard of Princess Peach’s castle.

Bowser: Huh? What are those lasers? *Adopts a thinking pose* It won’t hurt to take a look.

With that said, Bowser’s flying ship starts going towards Peach’s castle.

On the front yard of Peach’s castle

All the toads, their princess, everyone had the same feeling.

Fear.

They all were feeling it as they watch Mario, their hero, their protector; lying on the ground, badly wounded, and unable to move.

Someone start walking towards the plumber, but he wasn’t a toad, he was a huge, bipedal, squid-like creature who was also the one who left Mario on the stage he was right now. This mysterious creature was no other than Vilgax.

Vilgax: *Grabbing Mario by the throat* Is that all you can do? Pathetic.

A few minutes ago, Vilgax came to the Mushroom Kingdom to conquer it. Obviously Mario didn’t take that very well, so he decided to fight Vilgax, determinate to save his home; unfortunately, Vilgax was too much for Mario to handle, Vilgax defeated Mario with ease.

Speaking of the devil, the alien turned to see all the inhabitants of the Mushroom Kingdom, every single one of them had an expression of both worry and fear.

Vilgax: Behold, inhabitants of the Mushroom Kingdom, is this all your champion is capable of? It’s really disappointing if you ask me.

What Vilgax didn’t know, is that a certain koopa king was listening to everything, and boy, he wasn’t happy.

Vilgax: I was just going to conquer your kingdom, but since your champion proved to be anything but a worthy opponent, I think it’s better to destroy it instead.

All the toads and Preach gasped in shocked as they heard Vilgax new intentions; Bowser, however, just got angrier. Who thought that guy who was to destroy his future kingdom?!

Vilgax: *Turning back to Mario* Starting with your champion.

As soon as he finished saying that, Vilgax’s eyes start glowing as he started to charge his laser beam, ready to end with Mario’s life.

Everyone in the Mushroom Kingdom was looking in shock and fear the scene, the shock was so big that anyone was able to move.

Anyone, but one person.

Bowser: Hey you, squid face!!!

Vilgax stopped charging his beam as he, alongside the entire Mushroom Kingdom; turn toward the voice came from.

Bowser jumped from his flying ship, landing in front of everyone.

Toad 1: Oh no, it’s Bowser!!!!!

Toad 2: *sarcastic* Oh great, just what we needed!!!!

Toad 3: I fucking hate Mondays!

Bowser simply ignored what the toads were saying as he walks toward Vilgax, with a really mad face.

Vilgax: Who are you, and why are you here?

Bowser: I’m Bowser, king of the koopas, and I here to make you leave for trying to destroy MY future kingdom.

Vilgax: You definitely don’t know with who you’re messing with. I’m the intergalactic conquer, Vilgax, and if you try to put yourself in my way, I will destroy you too.

Bowser: Oh yeah? Well now is you who doesn’t know with who is messing with, I’m the all mighty Bowser, and if someone is going to end with Mario’s life…

In a quick move, Bowser punches Vilgax in the stomach, making him to release Mario from his grab. Bowser grabs Mario, and then he sends Vilgax flying a few meters away with a strong kick.

Bowser: That would be me.

Bowser left Mario with the princess Peach -who silently wishes Bowser luck-, as he goes back to where he was.

Vilgax: *Getting up* You fool. You will disappear alongside this kingdom.

Bowser: You don’t understand? This kingdom is mine, so you disappear!!!

Both of them run toward each other, clashing their fists with so much force they created a small shockwave.

FIGHT!

(Cues Blood On Broken Glass (Instrumental) - Brandon Yates)

Vilgax uses his other fist to punch Bowser on the stomach, making him flinch a bit for the hit, before Bowser could recover from the attack Vilgax punch him again, this time on the face.

Seeing a chance to counterattack, Bowser grabs Vilgax’s arm and pull towards him, making the alien to be in front of him. Before Vilgax could do anything, Bowser punch him in the face, then the koopa start slashing him trough all his body.

Bowser grabs Vilgax again -this time from his body- and throw him to the air, Bowser fired to the alien a fireball, hitting him in mid-air and sending the alien flying a meter or two away.

But before Vilgax land on earth, Bowser kicked him with his two legs sending Vilgax flying many meters away, right to the city of the Mushroom Kingdom (or at least to what was left of it); Bowser run to the city too, as well as all the toads and the princess Peach.

Vilgax went through some building before a wall stopped him, Vilgax groaned in pain as he was trying to recover from Bowser’s combo.

Bowser: BWAHAHAHAHA!!!                         

Speaking of the devil…

Bowser: What’s the matter? Is that all you have? I was expecting more from someone who defeated Mario. Looks like I completely overestimated you, well it doesn’t matter anymore, what does matter is that I’m going to end your life right here, right now.

Bowser starts to charge up his flame breath, but Vilgax didn’t moved, he stayed where he was, clenching his teeth after hearing Bowser’s words. But it wasn’t long enough before that clench turned into a smirk; if that turtle thought that that was everything he could do, then he was completely wrong.

Bowser fired his flame breath toward the alien, making him disappear in the fire; Bowser kept using his flame breath for a couple of minutes to make sure that Vilgax wouldn’t survived.

When Bowser’s flame breath dissipated completely, all it could be seen was smoke, no signals of Vilgax, all the inhabitants of the Mushroom Kingdom -who were seeing the fight from a safe distant- cheered in happiness, while Bowser put his hands on his hips while chuckling a little bit as he thought that he won.

Key word being thought.

When the smoke dissipated completely, a weird shaped shield could be seen, Vilgax’s Shield of Ziegel to be more precise. Everyone was in shock, especially Bowser.

Vilgax lose no time and shoot his laser beams to Bowser, successfully hitting him; then Vilgax flied towards him to hit the koopa with then shield, sending Bowser flying toward a building.

Bowser tries to stand up, however Vilgax appeared next to him, but Bowser head butted him away, Vilgax stabbed his hand on the ground to stop his flying.

Vilgax: *smirking* Where is all that ‘Is that all you got’ stuff now, huh?

Bowser just jumped up to stand up, showing that he was ready to continue fighting.

(Cues Get Smashed - Bradon Yates)

Vilgax: This will be interesting.

Bowser: *cracking his knuckles* I’ll say.

Vilgax used his wind breath towards Bowser creating a cyclone under his feet, thought at the start it was small, it quickly became a cyclone of an average size; despite his big size, the koopa quickly got himself inside of the cyclone, getting hit by every else that also got caught by the cyclone.

Vilgax coated his hands in light energy before flying toward the cyclone, hitting Bowser right in the chest and sending him flying through the air.

Vilgax impulse himself with a piece of wall before flying towards Bowser, attacking said koopa with a couple of punches a la Superman , Vilgax continue attacking Bowser until they arrived to a zone close to a lake.

Vilgax then he grabbed Bowser from the neck and threw him towards the ground, when Bowser landed he tried to stand up but Vilgax landed on top on him, creating a huge crater under the koopa.

Bowser groaned in pain, before teleporting behind Vilgax and grabbing said alien by the neck and doing a suplex to him.

Bowser left a few mecha-koopas around Vilgax and then he jumped away from the alien, the mecha-koopas bitted Vilgax making him to scream in pain, Vilgax tried to take them off him but before he could do it, the mecha-koopas exploded doing severely damage to Vilgax.

However, Vilgax quickly recovered from the explosion and shoot his Ruby Ray of Ulo toward Bowser, also doing severely damage to the koopa, Vilgax continue shooting the laser to the koopa as he walks towards said turtle; but Bowser wasn’t going to stay there without fighting back, so he kicked Vilgax in the stomach when he was close enough.

Then, Bowser shoots his spikes towards Vilgax, who destroyed all to them with his sword.

Vilgax: I must said I’m impressed that you where able to survive the beam of the Ray of Ulo, most people would die after taking one shot from it.

Bowser tried to attack Vilgax, but the alien anticipated towards him, slashing the koopas many times with his sword coated in diamond, Vilgax then stabbed his sword on Bowser’s shoulder -making the koopa to scream in pain-, when he pulled off his sword, he kicked Bowser in the face, sending him close to a cliff that was next to the lake.

Vilgax: But it’s seems like you cannot take any more damage.

Vilgax walks towards the koopa, stopping right in front of him to grab him from the tail.

Vilgax: Though I have to admit, you were a worthy opponent, I’ll give you that.

Vilgax then let Bowser fall into the lake, making a loud splash sound; Vilgax started to stepped back towards the Mushroom Kingdom to destroy it.

But after taking 4 or 5 steps, he heard a weird noise coming from the lake, Vilgax looked back somewhat confused.

From the lake emerged a giant creature with a roar, it was none other than Bowser.

Vilgax: It looks like you still have a few more tricks under your sleeve.

Bowser fired several fireballs to Vilgax, who either dodge them or blocked them with his shield as he run toward the giant koopa; Bowser tried to smash him with his fist, having little success on that, Vilgax started to climb Bowser’s arm.

Bowser tried to grab him, having as much success as he had when he tried to smash Vilgax before; said alien threw his sword towards Bowser’s head successfully hitting him in the eye.

Bowser screamed in pain, he threw Vilgax away from him, the Chimera Sui Generis had a perfect landing; Bowser grabbed the sword and, with difficulties, took it off his eye.

Bowser: Crap, not again.

Bowser threw the sword really far away, however, Vilgax took advantage of that a shoot his eye beams and the beam of this Ray of Ulo combined towards Bowser.

Bowser reacts just in time, and turned his back, making the beams to clash against his shell. Bowser then grabbed Vilgax with his hand and brings him close to him.

Bowser: Nice try, but not enough tough, now is time for me to finish this.

Bowser opened his hand, and put the other on top of Vilgax; it only took a few seconds to the alien to know what the koopa was trying to do, but it was too late.

In a quick move, Bowser crushed Vilgax with his bare hands. Bowser roars in signal of victory

• Bowser arrived in the Mushroom Kingdom, being cheered by all the toads and his minions.
• Vilgax sword landed on the face of an unfortunate goomba that just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Ruby: Jezz, overkill much?

Sonic: This matchup was close but in the end, Bowser had everything necessary to win.

Ruby: Vilgax may be really freaking strong, but Bowser could definitely deal with that, his feats of surviving supernovas, black holes and an explosion that threaten the very fabric of the universe are proof enough that he could take Vilgax attacks.

Sonic: Vilgax may have show some increadible durability feats too, but nothing at the level of Bowser, plus his durability can be overwhelmed by someone really strong. And Bowser is someone really strong. Also, Vilgax's feat of tanking a point blank nuclear explosion isn't as impressive as you may think. The explosion severely damaged Vilgax, up to the point that he was believed to be death.

Ruby: As for strength; Bowser has pulled an island, and he also threw back a giant cannon ball to his own castle; Vilgax biggest strength feat was to crush a mountain, but he requiared his steroid thing to accomplish that. So, while it's true that Vilgax is still strong as hell, he's not that strong.

Sonic: You could said that this was a crushing defeat.

Ruby: The winner is Bowser.
