Description[]

High School DXD vs. Trinity Seven. They have inherited the power of demonic kings which they use alongside the ability to deconstruct the powers of others.

Introduction[]

Wiz: Whenever one is described as a king among demons, that's usually an indicator of just how powerful they can be.

Boomstick: And with that power comes one hell of a cocky attitude, pun intended.

Wiz: Like Vali Lucifer, the descendant of the original Lucifer.

Boomstick: And Arata Kasuga, the Magic King and Superbia Mage. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.

Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.

Vali Lucifer[]

Wiz: In the world of High School DXD...

Boomstick: Every single woman is waifu material.

Wiz: Well, I was going to say that the positions of the leading Devils, Lucifer, Beelzebub, Leviathan and Asmodeus, were actual positions of power in the Underworld. If that sounds complicated, think of the names I just mentioned as titles.

Boomstick: But these titles came from somewhere; the original four Devils, who had the wish to dominate the world. Fortunately, they got disposed of by much more mellow Devils. Unfortunately their descendants didn't appreciate this, especially since they didn't get to inherit these positions. They went to the next generation of Super Devils, and why wouldn't they if they were powerful enough to be called "Super Devils".

Wiz: One of these direct descendants was Vali, the great-grandson of the original Lucifer himself.

  • Background
    • Age: 18
    • Height: 5'6
    • AKA White Dragon Emperor
    • Descendant of the original Lucifer
    • Member of Vali Team and DxD
    • Rival of Issei Hyoudou

Boomstick: Unlike Damien Thorn, being the son of the Devil, or at least a devil, didn't equal a comfy life for little Vali, because this time around the father in his life knew he had devil blood in the first place and bullied his mercilessly for it.

Popup: It was later revealed that Rizevim, the son of the original Lucifer and Vali's grandfather had Vali's father abuse him at his suggestion.

Wiz: Small wonder that the first chance he got, Vali escaped from his home until he was found by Azazel, the leader of the Fallen Angel faction.

Boomstick: Old Azazel proved to be the father Vali always wanted, teaching him magic and how to fight so that Vali could fulfil his dream of destroying his dad and grandfather for his crappy childhood. Sounded a bit extreme, but hey, couldn't blame him.

Wiz: Whilst being the great-grandson of the first Lucifer gave Vali a lot of issues, it also gave him an immense amount of demonic power, which he can use for all sorts of purposes.

Boomstick: He can fire it out as energy blasts and it helps to fuel his strength whenever he decides to make use of his hand-to-hand skills.

  • Powers and Abilities
    • Superhuman attributes
    • Demonic power
    • Skilled fighter
    • Flight
    • Magic
      • Teleportation
      • Summoning
      • Defensive

Wiz: From his integration in the Norse mythology faction, Vali also became highly proficient in magic.

Boomstick: He's already far tougher than a usual human, but now he can project circles of magic around himself as barriers.

Wiz: As a matter of fact, Vali seems to use magic for things he can already do, like getting around. In spite of possessing more wings than the average devil on account of his heritage, which he can use to fly, he prefers to get himself around with teleportation magic.

Popup: There are other types of magic such a movement sealing magic, elemental magic and defensive magic.

Boomstick: Vali also knows how to use summoning magic. That's really useful for when he wants a little more help on the battlefield, because he can summon the mechanical golem Gogmagog to fight on his behalf. This giant thing can use a machine gun, laser beams, jet flight and a detachable rocket punch. Oh, and it can rebuild itself from being blown into scrap metal.

Wiz: But whilst Vali's strength and magic is impressive, it's his Sacred Gear that's his tried-and-true craft on the battlefield.

Boomstick: Long ago, the God of the Bible, who's only ranked 5th in the World's Strongest Being's catalogue for some reason, decided to make a series of exceptional powerful weapons.

Wiz: The reason they were so powerful? It was because most of them held the spirits of legendary creatures and their powers within them. Two of these beings were the Heavenly Dragons Ddraig and Albion, who were locked in their own private battles until being repurposed into weaponry.

Boomstick: These two's power sets basically countered one another's; Ddraig can increase his power two fold without limit whilst Albion halves the power of others. No wonder they were trapped in a forever tiff and needed God himself to break the deadlock; one kept getting stronger at the same time the other made him weaker.

Wiz: Albion's spirit was placed in the Longinus Sacred Gear, Divine Dividing, which Vali magically inherited along with Albion's Divide power.

Boomstick: For every ten seconds that Vali is touching someone, he halves their power, adding the subtracted amount to his own reverses of strength.

  • Divine Dividing
    • Halves opponent's power every 10 seconds
    • Adds taken power to Vali's
    • Also halves emotions
    • Enables light-speed flight
    • Scale Mail
      • Full body armor
      • Removes 10 second limit
      • Half-Dimension
      • Reflect
    • Juggernaut Drive
    • Empireo Juggernaut Overdrive
      • Compression Divider
    • Diabolos Dragon Lucifer
      • Satan Compression Divider
      • Satan Lucifer Smasher:
      • Reduce
      • Dividing Wyvern Fairies

Wiz: If the power taken is too great for him, they he can expel it through the light of the wings that Divine Dividing makes. Speaking of which, I retract my previous statement about Vali's wings being all he needs to travel, because Divine Dividing lets him move at the speed of light itself.

Boomstick: Like any Sacred Gear, Divine Dividing also has a Balance Breaker. It's is Scale Mail, an awesome looking suit of armor that negates the need for physical contact and the ten second limit for the Divide power.

Wiz: The latter part of that upgrade is specifically known as Half-Dimension, where Vali can halve the power of attacks to the point where they disappear completely, and can even warp the fabric of space itself. Or he can simply send the attacks back at their firers with Reflect, one of Albion's other signature abilities.

Boomstick: Vali can also have the Scale Mail enter the Juggernaut Drive to unleash Albion's full power, using his own massive demonic power to substitute the lifespan it would usually consume. Still, using it too much can drive Vali into a berserker rage, and anyways, he has other armor mods to use, like Empireo Juggernaut Drive, which comes with the frankly horrifying power to shrink anything and anyone down to the point of non-existence with Compression Divider.

Wiz: And that was before he acquired the Diabolos Dragon Lucifer mode thanks to the blessing of the Infinity Dragon Ophis. Combining the power of Albion with his own demonic power, Vali's Compression Divider is empowered greatly, he can bombard foes with Satan Lucifer Smasher's energy blasts and the Dividing Wyvern Fairies he summons can serve as extensions of all his abilities.

Boomstick: Including Reduce, which is basically just supernatural acid, able to burn through both the body and soul of the target. In other words, Vali is an absolutely powerful and dangerous person.

Wiz: With a drive for battle to match as well. So much in fact he aligned himself with the terrorist group, the Khaos Bridge, in order to seek out new foes to fight.

  • Feats
    • Moves at light speeds
    • Mastered the Juggernaut Drive and Divine Dividing
    • Destroyed a five thousand meter tall mountain
    • Candidate for a Super Devil Position
    • Blew up 100 High-class Devils in a single blow
    • Withstood Samael's curse
    • Defeated Fenrir, Kokabiel, Rizevim

Boomstick: With none being more notable than his designated rival Issei Hyoudou, the wielder of the Sacred Gear to contain Ddraig's spirit, the Boosted Gear. But even by the point they both met, Vali was already much more powerful than Issei, and he's powerful enough to blown up mountains.

Wiz: Speaking of which, Vali's Diabolos enhancement allowed him to blown away a mountain five thousand meters tall. That's a power close to 6 gigatons of TNT, more than enough to destroy an entire country (GoodDaySir).

Boomstick: It was said to have disappeared entirely, which is perfectly in tune with his ability set theme. What's more, even though that form combined his demonic power with Albion's, it was specifically said that it was his demonic power used to pull the attack off.

Wiz: He's bested the Fallen Angel Kokabiel in battle thanks to his overwhelming speed, bested those ranked in the top ten strongest beings like Fenrir Wolf and Hades, and even finally got his revenge on his grandfather, who had recently taken control of the Khaos Brigade for himself, besting him in battle and taking his whole arm off.

Boomstick: Sick! Guess he decided the whole running-with-terrorists-for-thrilling-fights thing wasn't for him.

Wiz: Vali has a bit of a skewered moral compass alright, but he's proved himself a hero in the end, even with the hindrances of holy weapons and the drawbacks of Divine Dividing. Oh, and his arrogance.

Boomstick: Well, when you're considered the strongest wielder of a weapon made by God ever, a bit of a swell head is to be expected.

Arata Kasuga[]

Wiz: Now, whenever he say that someone seemed like a normal person, that's usually the indicator that they're anything not, so let's just get into the story of Arata Kasuga.

Boomstick: For the most part, Arata appeared to be just that; a normal person. After all, he has a "healthy" interest in girls, even his own cousin a little, which is a bit gross, but I guess that's what happens when they basically lived together after Arata's parents died.

  • Background
    • Age: 17
    • Height: 5'7
    • Occupation: Royal Biblia Academy Student
    • Magic king candidate
    • Thema: Imperium
    • Love interest number: 7+

Wiz: But Arata's life wasn't all it seemed, mainly, because he had one glaring clue. The sun...was black.

Boomstick: That Family Guy Runner's High scene was right!

Wiz: No, as in literally black. This glitch in the Matrix, as it were, along with the damning evidence of a picture showing a yellow sun, led Arata to the conclusion that something was up, and not for no reason.

Boomstick: Turns out, you're a wizard Arata, and not any wizard, but a Magic King. Or Demon King, depending on your translation.

Wiz: A Magic King is a mage so powerful, it is said that a fully realized one is capable of rewriting the laws of the world to their whims. And Arata's source of his Magic King Element, which is the magical competent to his existence that makes him such a candidate, comes from the fact Arata is, spoiler alert, the reincarnation of one of an exceptionally powerful Magic King's soul fragments.

Popup: Hijiri's parent's, Arata's aunt and uncle, were Mages themselves, even this parents weren't.

Boomstick: No wonder Arata was placed into a false reality. Turns out though, those behind it probably didn't have much to worry about, because Arata was one chill dude.

Wiz: Unless it concerned Hijiri, which to him was something worth worrying about considering the one living in the false reality with him was in fact a disguised Grimoire. Determined to find his cousin, Arata requested the mage who had freed him from the illusion to teach him magic to help in his search.

Boomstick: Well that's one reason he decided to go to the Royal Biblia Academy of magic. The main one; up to seven waifus to choose from.

Wiz: From that day on, Arata would dedicate himself to mastering his Magic King Element with the help of the Trinity Seven...until complications happened.

Boomstick: Arata eventually lost the Magic King Element when he used it to save the life of a girl in spite of the fact she had tried to turn him into a love puppet. Guess he really is a sucker for a pretty face. But being a chill guy, he didn't mind that much, and before that he was able to get himself a little help in the form of some sentient items.

      • Stores spells
      • Enables magic copying
    • Illas Fragment
      • AKA Illya
      • Utilizes support magic

Wiz: Whilst most mages usually only have one, Arata has two Grimoires; the Astil Manuscript which stores spells and enables Arata to analyze and copy magic, whilst the Ilias Fragment focuses on spells like healing. They're better known as Sora and Illya in their human forms.

Boomstick: And since they're sentient, they can advise Arata on the correct course of action. And even after losing the Magic King Element, Arata was able to retain a weapon for one, Judecca.

Wiz: After becoming a Sword Magus, Arata is able to wield Judecca masterfully, using her power to increase his magical power to cast numerous spells at once. He can fire out slashes of energy or even channel the power of a Breakdown Phenomena for a short time for increased power.

Boomstick: She's also has a human girl form, so that's always a neat little bonus.

Wiz: But a mage wouldn't be much without spells to cast, and Arata has a wide selection to utilize, all thanks to his thema of Imperium, or Rule, which literally allows him to dominate the magic of others to use it for his own ends.

Boomstick: After understanding the name and performance of the magic, finding the name of the magic's original user and using logic to understand its very nature, Arata is able to utilize his most proficient magic; the one to destroy women's clothing.

Wiz: Well that's going to get him banned from a few places, but with this process comes Arata's mastery of several other magic types.

Popup: It's possible that Arata can utilize any of the magic he has seen other Magus use.

Boomstick: The ones we've seen are Meteo Dragonar, which lets him fire out a powerful blast with a summoned pistol, which he usually makes with Outer Alchemic's realize. To enhance his physical abilities he uses Mantra Enchantment's Conception to apply a shield of magic to his limbs and body.

Wiz: And the Logo Arts provide him with perhaps the most usual of his magics.

Boomstick: Even better than strip spells? No way.

Wiz: The Logo Arts allow Arata to manipulate small quantities of time and space. He can teleport short distances, analyze his opponents to find their weaknesses or even use Baal Peor to freeze anything but himself in the vicinity.

Boomstick: Although he can't take advantage of them whilst in this place, he makes up for this with the Secret Numbers which let him bind a person in place, perfectly helpless for him to then Logo Arts to drain their magic and life force.

Popup: The time rewind of Baal Reincarnate can only be performed with the help of one of the Trinity Seven. Similarly, he can only perform Breakdown Phenomenons, world threating spells, only with the Magic King Element.

Wiz: Now armed with the means to, Arata set about finding his cousin and combating the threats of the world.

  • Feats
    • Moved faster than Lugh
    • Destroyed the Sky Library
    • Outwitted Lieselotte
    • Escaped several false worlds
    • Sliced apart a golem faster than what could be witnesses
    • Defeated Lieselotte, Hijiri, Astral Abyss

Boomstick: His level of skill is comparable to Paladin mages, the one rank lower than a Magic King, because he was able to suppress his magic all the way to zero then unleash it in a single attack to slice apart a giant golem with that Judecca sword babe.

Wiz: And with Judecca, he was able to destroy the Sky Library in a single attack.

Boomstick: Take that books! No offence to the Grimoire Girls though.

Wiz: Such a feat came to about 3 megatons of TNT (MAPSK) and Arata has the speed to match his power.

Boomstick: You see, there's this chick called Lugh, who's the self-proclaimed goddess of light, and she can certainly live up to that claim because she's fast enough to dodge a point blank camera flash, needing to move just over the speed of light to pull that off.

Wiz: Since Arata tagged Lugh in combat, then it's pretty clear he's at the same level of speed.

Boomstick: Hang on a moment, if they fought each other, why do later issues show them as acquaintances.

Wiz: Well, Arata does have a habit of getting a bit too chummy with people, even when said people have explicably said their goal is to kill Arata should he become the Magic King. I guess the only way to defeat your enemies is to make them your friend at all, but the fact is Arata remains rather casual and flippant even when fighting.

Boomstick: In spite of that, Arata has proved he's not someone to take lightly, and is a fast learner when it comes to magic. Plus, he's got lots of waifus to his name. Always a win in my book!

Interlude[]

Wiz: Alright the combatants are set, time to end this debate once and for all.

Boomstick: It's time for a Death Battle!

The Battle[]

Location: Town streets

Arata walked holding his bag over his shoulder and casually whistling as he did, until he came to the end of the street and the wide road it led into. Before he crossed it, he saw someone leaning against the wall that lead into the street on the other side of the road. Vali looked up when he saw Arata.

Vali: There you are. I was wondering when you would show up.

Arata: Really, why?

Vali: Heard you were kind of strong. I'd like to see what you've got.

Vali walked to stand opposite Arata, who sighed and put his bag down.

Arata: Eh, don't see why not.

Ilya: Careful master, I think this guy might be tough.

Arata: We'll see. Well then...

He spoke directly to Vali, raising his hand to show off his two Grimoires.

Arata: Shall we get started?

Vali's Divine Dividing wings spread out.

Vali: With gusto.

FIGHT!

In a split second, Vali had appeared in front of Arata with the speed of Divine Dividing, his fist drawn back for a strike. Arata's eyes widened and he leaned backwards quickly to avoid Vali's punch as it carried himself past Arata before Vali whipped around to bring his leg up and kick him in the chest. Arata skidded back several steps, having crossed his arms to block the kick.

Arata: Whoa! That was fast!

Vali: You think so? Well, you haven't seen much yet.

He darted forward with his incredible speed a second time, unleashing a barrage of punches at Arata, who darted his head and forth as he retreated backwards. Pretty soon, Arata's forehead began to sweat at the pressure.

Arata: Better step up my game here. Sora, Ilya!

His Grimoires pulsed with magical energy and Arata was engulfed in it for a brief moment in the same moment Vali threw another punch. As the magic subsided, Arata thrusted out a hand to catch the punch, revealing himself in his Magus Mode. Smirking at Vali's surprise, Arata summoned to his other hand Judecca, slashing it out at the former, who suddenly shot into the air to avoid the attack. Airborne thanks to his Divine Dividing, Vali looked down at Arata.

Vali: Not too bad, but anything you can do, I can do better. Balance Breaker!

Divine Dividing pulsed before enveloping Vali in the white bejeweled armor, ending with a helm over his head. Arata gave an impressed whistle before readying himself with his sword.

Arata: Bring it!

Vali charged down from the air towards Arata, forcing him to jump backwards as he impacted the ground with a great amount of force. As soon as he landed, Arata was beset by Vali's punches, countering them with swings of Judecca, sending sparks flying each time the two attacking forces countered. Arata brought a swing down onto Vali's uppercut, whilst Vali punched from the side with his free fist. Arata ducked beneath it before spinning around and yelling out;

Arata: L'Ciel Cocytus!

The powerful swing attack connected with the chest armor of Vali, knocking him backwards. Next, Arata summoned to his hand a pistol with Outer Alchemic and pointed it straight at Vali.

Arata: Meteo Dragonar!

A dragon-shaped blast of energy shot out towards Vali who raised his hand in response.

Albion: Half Dimension!

Ripples spread out from Vali's palm, washing over the attack as it drew slower. Bit by bit it's energy halved until it finally vanished before getting too close to its target. Vali then turned his palm towards Arata, the mage leaping to the side to avoid the effects of the power as it compressed an entire section of the road into nothingness. As soon as he had landed, he was once again forced to defend from Vali's barrage of punches, slashing them away at the same time as he retreated backwards.

Arata: Sora, can you analyze that magic?

Sora: I'm trying master. It has a different feel to what I'm used to.

Arata: Just do your best. I'll give us some time.

Vali: Talking to yourself? You should know that's a bad idea in a fight.

Arata: And you should know that I wasn't talking figuratively about buying time.

He deflected another of Vali's punches, prompting the latter to steel his feet against the ground and thrust his fist towards Arata in an especially powerful punch. However, that was when Arata's Grimoires pulsed with a different kind of magic

Arata: Baal Peor!

The whole worlds sans Arata suddenly froze in time, a black tinge added to it all. Arata breathed out in relief.

Arata: Alrighty then; Sora, that should you a chance to...

The time stop was suddenly shattered (by the presence of Albion within the Divine Dividing) and as Arata's eyes widened in shock, Vali's fist continued on its trajectory and drove itself into Arata's gut. Arata's eyes bulged as the saliva was knocked out of him and he was sent flying backwards, crashing onto the street.

Ilya: Master! Don't worry, I'll help.

Healing magic flowed from one of the Grimoires, patching up the broken bones Arata had gotten from Vali's punch. Arata got back to his feet, both hands on his sword hilt whilst Vali cracked his armored knuckles.

Vali: Ready to go again?

Arata: Sure am. After all, there are some lovely ladies I have to get back to soon.

Vali:...You remind me of someone I know.

After the casual conversation, Vali and Arata darted forward faster than what could be tracked with the eye to leave afterimages, using their incredible speeds to travel all over the area, punching/slashing at the other whenever they came within range. This came to an end when Vali performed a diving kick down at Arata, who brought the flat of Judecca up to serve as a shield against the attack. In spite of leaning back against the kick, Arata grinned confidently before suddenly teleporting, causing Vali to precariously land, skidding several feet from his own momentum. Searching for his opponent, Vali didn't register his foe appearing behind him before he had slashed him across the back. Grunting his annoyance, Vali whipped around with a kick, but Arata teleported again, coming at him from the side with a stab. Vali leaned backwards from it and attempted to grab Arata before he teleported a third time. This time he came from the other direction but by then Vali had his strategy figured out and was able to turn to punch Arata across the face, sending him backwards. Arata let out an "oof" before Vali lunged at him.

Arata: Secret Numbers!

Making sure to empower his magic with Judecca, Arata bound Vali in the magical rings, halting his charge.

Arata: Gotcha!

Arata swung his sword at Levi, but defensive magic from the devil deflected the attack. Vali then snapped his fingers and a giant metal golem appeared behind Arata; Gogmagog. Arata whipped around before the mechanical giant revealed its guns and unleashed a rain of bullets down at him. Arata deflected the first couple of bullets with Judecca before teleporting out of the way of the rest as they peppered the ground. He appeared behind Gogmagog who turned and fired his rocket-powered fist at him. But before it connected, Arata pulsed with a burst of magic energy and the fist fell to pieces, as did the rest of the golem a second later. The pieces of the giant mech rained down, throwing up a cloud of dust. Arata surveyed the remains of the opponent he had beaten, but his smirk faded when he turned and saw Vali had vanished, having broken free of the Secret Numbers. Suddenly, he burst through the dust cloud to his left, swinging his fist at Arata's face, knocking him backwards. Arata was able to right himself as he flew back and landed on his hands and feet. He drew himself back up quickly, shouting out;

Arata: Conception!

He swung out a slash of energy at the charging Vali.

Albion: Reflect!

The energy slash was deflected back at Arata, forcing him to hurriedly slash it in half whilst Vali used the cover to uppercut his opponent into the air. Whilst he was suspended, Vali jumped up and delivered a knee into Arata's gut, launching him further upwards. Arata grimaced in pain before he was able to open his eyes again, getting greeted by a white flash.

Vali: Empireo Juggernaut Overdrive!

Vali morphed into his house-sized dragon form, opening his mouth and firing out a blast of energy.

Judecca: Master, get ready!

Arata snapped back to focus and dived downwards, slashing with Judecca as it empowered him. Soon he had closed the distance through the beam, dispelling it. Vali grunted in surprise before Arata performed a double L'Ciel Cocytus. Vali let out a roar as a massive X was carved onto his face. Arata flipped backwards and conjured to his hand another gun, aiming it and firing into the double gouges. Vali was brought out of this transformation violently, hitting the ground as the altered armor was blown to pieces. Vali, now without the Balance Breaker, hit the ground and bounced before Arata shot down and impaled him through the chest. Blood flew from Vali's mouth as the sword pinned him to the ground. Arata kept the pressure on the sword until Vali ceased struggling and he breathed out in relief.

Arata: That was tough.

Vali chuckled in spite of the blood coming from his mouth and confusing Arata.

Vali: If you think that's tough, try this.

His body swarmed with white light, forcing Arata to draw back, pulling Judecca out of Vali and the ground and covering his eyes. Vali rose back to his feet, his armor reformed around him as the Daibolos Dragon Lucifer.

Albion: Dividing Wyvern Fairies!

Out of the jewels of the armor came wyverns made of light which swarmed around Arata, performing all manner of techniques; when Arata unleashed two Conception slashes, one of the Wyverns Divided it into nothing whilst a second Reflected it back at him, forcing him to dodge this and then the Half Dimension another used, which compressed a section of the wall behind him. Looking up after dodging, Arata saw all the wyverns hovering in the air in front of him before they all unleashed a blast of energy, forcing Arata to bring up Judecca as a shield. To add a greatly level of difficulty, Vali fired from his armor the Satan Lucifer Smasher, bombarding Arata along with the wyvern's lasers. Slowly but surely, the combined blasts began to overwhelm the mage, forcing him onto one knee, but he gritted his teeth and remained defiant.

Arata: Judecca!

Judecca: On it!

Arata felt new power course through his body from Judecca as she activated Surtr Ragnarok, coating herself in the power of a Breakdown Phenomenon and empowering Arata. With a yell, Arata slashed Judecca out, dispelling the two projectile attacks overpowering him. He then charged forwards, first swinging his sword out to destroy the wyverns before charging towards Vali. He leapt up slightly before swinging the Judecca down.

Arata: You're mine!

But then Vali's hands clapped against the blade's sides, halting it inches from his face.

Albion: Divide!

Divine Diving then began halving and draining Judecca's, and by extention Arata's power, even as he grunted and tried to pull away in vain. In a matter of seconds, neither had any power left, and Judecca was nice and weakened for Vali to increase the strength his grip and smash her blade to pieces. Arata cried out in panic and darted back best as he could.

Arata: Sora, Ilya, I need-

Vali swung his hand out and threw a glob of Reduce to hit Arata's hand, melting away both Grimoires and his entire upper arm. Arata cried out in shock before Vali finished by unleashing;

Vali: Satan Compression Divider!

The rays of light engulfed Arata, who, with a final scream, was compressed into absolute nothingness. Vali shut off the lights as soon as Arata had vanished and breathed out in relief, hands placed on his hips.

Vali: Gotta say, you certainly were strong.

KO!

Outcome[]

Boomstick: Yikes! Getting divided and compressed is certainly an unpleasant looking prospect.

Wiz: Arata was a skilled mage and formidable opponent when he wanted to be, but there was no real secret that Vali had plenty of ways to take him out.

Boomstick: Not only could he drain Arata of his strength, but he could also compress him into nothingness or erase him with Reduce. And by the way, since most of these abilities bypass conventional durability, Arata's wouldn't have matter this time around. Furthermore, all those powers also work on attacks like Arata's, so he would of had a real tough time getting any hits in with anything. Still, they were at the very least deadlocked with their speed, considering Arata's scaling to Lugh and Vali's flight speed with Divine Dividing.

Popup: Both could likely increase their speeds, Vali with his further armored modes and Arata demonstrating his FTE speeds to even Lugh, but considering they're equal in their base stats, there was unlikely to be a major difference. The highest end of Arata's speed from the aforementioned source is 3 times the speed of light, but would not negate any of Vali's abilities or advantages.

Wiz: Another important factor to this fight was that Arata's Magic Copying wasn't a guarantee to work against Vali. Arata needs to understand the chemical structure of a magic in order to use it and Divine Dividing likely didn't have anything like that, and it's not like Arata would learn the name of the original user of this power for the second part. Speaking of rendering abilities ineffective, Vali had perfect counters to a lot of what Arata could use against him.

Popup: It's never been demonstrated or mentioned if Outer Alchemy can break down organic matter, and Vali's armor could potentially intercept any attempt of this.

Boomstick: Heavenly Dragons like Ddraig and Albion have been able to break out of time skips before and although Logos arts allowed Arata to drain life force and magic, Vali could use his immense demonic power to substitute for it like it does with Juggernaut Drive and simply steal any stolen power back with his power absorption.

Popup: Arata could have potentially known how to use dream-inducement and control magic with Yui, but Vali's power was said to give him the power to compress dreams.

Wiz: And continuing with the ineffectiveness of Logo Arts, the Secret Numbers can be broken out of by a person of greater power, which Vali definitely was.

Boomstick: Spoiler alert!

Wiz: Well, I would think it's fairly obvious. After all, even Vali's lowest possible power is greater than what Arata has even shown. After all, his demonic power is immensely superior to Issei's, who damaged a mountain with 5 gigatons of TNT (GoodDaySir). Arata's highest power without the lost Magic King Element comes to 3 megatons, over 1000 times weaker.

Popup: As Vali's demonic power, an internal source of strength, was higher than Arata's, it's in the realm of possibility he could have absorbed all of Arata's power.

Boomstick: Even if it was higher or even superior, Vali could have simply halved it over and over again.

Wiz: In spite of what Arata could bring to the table, Vali had him stalemated in speed, surpassed him in strength and had the abilities to counter and take him out.

Boomstick: Well I'll-Bion; Arata wasn't at the right Mode for this one.

Wiz: The winner is Vali Lucifer.
