Introduction[]
Redshock: V, Cyberpunk's 2077 Merc For Hire
Mortician: The Courier, Fallout New Vegas's Wasteland Wanderer
Redshock: In the future have you ever wondered what it would ever be like
Mortician: I am from the future and trust its not all hydrated pizzas and flying cars, it's mostly just a big wasteland of technology and crime
Redshock: Huh makes sense when our two combatants are well known in thriving in a future like that
V Jacks Into Death Battle![]
Mortician: Welcome to the Free City of Night City, a city full of technology, many cultures, and crime
Redshock: Yeah NighT City may sound fund but it's not, most of the city is either run by Gangs like the Animals or Voodoo Boys, or by Corporations like Arasaka.
Mortician: But to make it big without being part of a company or gang you need to do Solo Work in Night City's Afterlife and make it as a Hired Mercenary
Redshock: And if you made it big and died like a fucking boss in Night City you would make it onto the menu like But their are a few legends in Night City like David Martinez and Johnny Silverhand, but one guy, he's been through hell and back multiple times and could be the strongest man in Night City and that guy's name is V.
Mortician: For this battle we will just be using V in his Male form as that's what's on the cover of the game and majority people think V is Male in the Canon Storyline, anyway despite what the player picked for V's background he has one of three, he's either a former Corpo stripped of his status, left a Nomad Clan and left the Badlands and moved to the Big City or grew up by gangs in Heywood and made it out as a Street Kid.
Redshock: But it doesn't matter as V would meet his future best friend Jackie Welles, a member of the Valentinos Street Gang who also works as a Mercenary. Man I wish I had a friend like Jackie, Loyal, Funny, Good Family, man I wish I had a friend like him
Mortician: I literally invited you over to dinner with my great great grandfather last week...never mind V would get the opportunity in working for legendary Night City Fixer, Dexter Deshawn who wants V and Jackie to steal a Relic from Yorinobu Arasaka from the infamous Arasaka Family who started the Arasaka Corporation, a world-wide mega corporation dealing in corporate security, banking, and manufacturing.
Redshock: Yeah sounds totally easy barley an inconvenience, but at first it was easy, V and Jackie managed to steal the Relic and almost got off scot free but Security caught them and they had to run, but the case broke and to preserve the Relic Jackie injected it into himself which was a real bad idea.
Mortician: Jackie wasn't prepared for the risk of taking the Relic and eventually succumbing to his fatal wounds after jumping off a building with V, so V took the Relic after saying goodbye to his best friend but was actually double-crossed by Dexter. But V somehow survived not just with his own freewill but with help from a former Arasaka Bodyguard and the memory of legendary Night City Rockerboy, Johnny Silverhand.
Redshock: Keanu Fucking Reeves, man I love that dude. Anyway, V is no slouch when it comes to dealing with the scum and villainy of Night City, V is an expert fighter capable of boxing either local thugs, hired mercenaries, and even professional boxers, he is also skilled with any firearms he can get his hands on like pistols, shotguns, assault rifles, SMG's, LMG's, Sniper Rifles, whatever V is a killing machine like John Wick on steroids, huh funny considering he does have John Wick in his head.
Mortician: V's Weapons and his Boxing are impressive, but his real advantage in a fight are his Cybernetics, in the Cyberpunk World their are many people with Cybernetic upgrades given to them by Ripperdocs for any special occasion, and V has a CVS recent full of these Cybernetics. His arms have 4 different modes each of them having their own pros and cons like Gorilla Arms, which are capable of knocking people out in a couple punches, lift and open locked doors and steel shutters, rip machine guns out of turrets and beat down robots.
Redshock: Mantis Blades are Baraka style long blades that extends from V's forearms capable of slicing and dicing V's enemies in swift deadly slashes and can also allow V to leap long distances. Monowire acts like a long whip-like cord capable of delivering quick long range slashes, and the Projectile Launch System which allows V to shoot literal rockets out of his arm!
Mortician: V can also enhance his body internally through Cybernetic Organs capable of increasing his speed making him fast enough to outrun gunfire, and can outrun enhanced soldiers and Cyber Psychos who have been seen moving like a blur. And when V got the Endgame Sandevistan his speed increased ten fold making him way faster than before.
Redshock: V is also and incredible hacker, with his Cybernetics he is capable of hacking into almost anything he sees with his Kiroshi Optics like security cameras, turrets, computer systems even other people's Cybernetics like jamming their weapons, causing them electric shocks enough to paralyze them, and manipulate their memories by erasing them or causing them to go insane.
Mortician: V also has an incredible healing factor which allows him to heal from gunshot wounds or even minor explosions, which is helpful in his line of work cause V has been through the wringer. He has survived gunshots, grenade blasts, falling off tall buildings, survived getting shot in the head, and even killed the infamous Adam Smasher who was strong enough to kill David Martinez after he flipped over two Arasaka APC's both weighing at least 30,000lbs each on full Cyber Psychosis.
Redshock: Yeah V is a badass dude sadly he doesn't save so much time, the Relic inside his head is slowly killing him as it's rejecting their brain cells and neural network, causing them to degrade in health and eventually die.
Mortician: V is also prone to other Hackers hacking into his own network, his Quickhacks can only work on machines or people who have cybernetics within their neural network. But whatever choice V makes for himself or for Johnny he knows what's best, if Night City ever had a mascot the single lettered legendary mercenary would surely take it's place,
V: "You don't make a name as a Cyberpunk by how you live, you're remembered by how you die".
The Courier Wanders Onto Death Battle![]
Redshock: Fallout, this video game series is known for their vast empty wastelands, strange and dangerous mutants, gangs and raiders to watch out for, they've had all kinds of heroes from a Vault Dweller, a Lone Wonderer, to a man looking for his son, but one of these heroes is so badass you don't even know his name, this is Courier Six or just The Courier.
Mortician: Before the events of Fallout New Vegas, The Courier was tasked with a mission from the NCR to deliver a package to The Divide. However, the package somehow "woke up" and the warheads buried beneath The Divide have been detonated, which then turned the place into a radioactive hellscape.
Redshock: That sucks, well anyway, Courier Six was one of the six Couriers hired by the Mojave Express to deliver strange packages to New Vegas. Before they could make it to Vegas, they were ambushed by muggers but their ringleader was wearing a distinctive checkered coat. The muggers took the package and and shot The Courier twice in the head, but Courier Six was rescued by a Securitron Robot named Victor, and survived this encounter.
Mortician: After The Courier was fixed up by Goodspring's local doctor, he had only thing on his mind, revenge. Turns out the local tribes and gang have been part of a power struggle against Mr House, the most powerful man in New Vegas. So to use this to his advantage the Courier must convince the tribes to join him and stopping Mr House and finding whoever that Checkered Suited Man is.
Redshock: And you may think that a mailman is not dangerous, then you haven't met The Courier. He is a one man army, he is an expert marksman and firearms expert capable of using anything in his hands as a lethal weapon, he can use any firearm with master level of proficiency. He can even use Melee weapons like Swords, Futuristic Weapons like Laser Rifles, and explosives.
Mortician: Being a Fallout Character, The Courier has a special system called, well S.P.E.C.I.A.L.: Standing for Strength, Perception, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, and Luck. The S.P.E.C.I.A.L. System is the Fallout game's method for judging a character's overall stats and The Courier has maxed out his Stats over the game, he is strong enough to carry 400lbs of of equipment, while still maintaining the ability to run and jump very quickly. Outright intimidate most people as the Courier is strong enough to take on super mutants in unarmed combat and win.
Redshock: He can detect hostiles long before they are in visual range, and assists in landing devastating shots on enemies. Can Endure enough to make fighting Deathclaws in close quarters combat survivable. Charismatic enough to intimidate mercenaries that fighting the Courier would be worse than fighting almost 10 feet tall mutants with machineguns and rocket launchers.
Mortician: The Courier is smart enough to hack into U.S. Military grade computers, shut down hostile combat robots, and in general makes him one of, if not the smartest human in the entire wasteland. Is Agile enough with help of the Pip-Boy 3000 computer on their wrist, enter a bullet-time trance to target enemies with lethal efficiency. And is Lucky enough to shoot targets without looking or gamble at the casinos and win so many times they forbid you from gambling.
Redshock: The Courier also has all kinds of weapons available like his Power Armor which are considered walking tanks. He can also use Riot Armors, which are light enough to allow the user to remain agile and have built in night-vision, but are still very much bulletproof and durable. And the Power Armor has some nifty weapons to use like his Tesla Cannon, Nuke Launchers, Missile Launchers, Gatling Guns, Plasma Rifles, Flamethrowers, Landmines, Chainsaws, and so, so, so much more.
Mortician: The Courier can also but cybernetic implants that increase every S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stat by one. Then proceed to buy implants that allow accelerated regeneration from even the most grievous wounds. The Courier can also move much faster while sneaking, remove radiation from drinking contaminated water, and regenerate from wounds and replenish adrenaline when simply eating food. And a bonus damage stat against Cazadores, the mutated wasps that can kill a grown man with one sting.
Redshock: While Courier sounds like a major badass, he is however very dependent of weapons as he lacks hand to hand combat, and while he has enough weapons to conquer a country, he has won most of his battles without using violence just by his his intelligence and charisma.
Mortician: But with all that said, The Courier is someone you don't want to mess with, stand in his way while on his killing spree, you stand no chance against this post apocalyptic mailman.
The Courier: "We shall see how brave you are when nailed to the walls of Hoover Dam, your body facing west so you may watch your world die".
Death Battle![]
Prologue[]
The Courier feet ached as he walked down the deserted dirt trail of the Badlands he had wandered far from the Mojave and walked passed a sign with the words ‘Welcome to Night City’, he saw the cars and people walking and all the bright lights. He continued walking before hearing a motorcycle revving and coming his way, he looked back to see someone on a motorcycle heading right at him, The Courier dived out of the way and immediately drew his Ranger Sequoia and aimed towards the man who held a Malorian Arms 3516, the two had their guns drawn on each other as V spoke “listen i don't know who you are but i got tipped off that the chip you have will help me with something I'm looking for, so hand it over…it probably ain't worth getting killed over”. The Courier stood up and cocked the hammer back on his Revolver. V sighed “alright guess we’re doing this then…”
FIGHT![]
V and The Courier both fired at each other and their bullets just grazed each others heads, after that V was the one to make the first push and charged at The Courier, tackling into him and trying to push him off balance but The Courier stood his ground and then threw V back where he stumbled and fell against his bike, knocking it over onto its side as he looked up to see the barrel of Six’s revolver, he quickly ducked down and the bullet hit the concrete of the street, V kicked him in the leg and then stood up and got his forearm around The Courier's neck. Getting him in a chokehold as the two men struggled against each other, he responded by throwing his head back and headbutting V to cause him to stumble back and let go of him and aimed his gun at V but V activated his Sandevistan and his perception slowed.
V easily dodged the oncoming bullet and then fired a bullet from his 3516 into the Couriers ribcage, causing him to stumble back and put his hand over his side and making him retreat with the Courier firing bullets at V while he was running to an abandoned apartment building, V ducked behind cover to avoid these and then hopped out when the shooting was gone so V followed after towards where The Courier went and entered the building. The Courier had used a stealth boy and was near the entrance behind V, he snuck up and was caught off guard when V turnt around and punched The Courier in his face causing him to recoil back, V flashed one hand holding a recon grenade “i got a counter for all your tricks” he then punched him in the chest and then knocked him back with a charged punch from his Gorilla Arms. This punch caused The Courier to get knocked back through a wall and into an empty apartment room.
The Courier sat up holding an energy pistol and fired it, hitting V square in the chest, this blast caused him to recoil and then he saw a grenade roll under his feet “ohh FUCK-” the grenade exploded and then blew V back, he sat up only to be met with The Courier standing over him holding a shotgun to his head, he put his finger on the trigger and suddenly the floor collapsed under the two and they plummeted down to the basement of the apartment building, both men coughed and swiped away dust as they got up, V was the first to get up and pulled out an Precision Rifle, firing and hitting The Courier right in the chest, The Courier got back up and while he tried to hold himself against V, he just couldn't handle V's overwhelming power, he hit the Courier in the face and cracked one of his helmets eyes and then punched him in the chest with so much force that he knocked The Courier through a wall and outside to an empty alleyway.
V jumped in after him and was going to strike him again but the Courier immediately got up slipped out a grenade that made V step back and it was a flash bang and it blinded V, once he vision cleared he saw The Courier was gone, he looked around until he heard a familiar voice “over here V” he lsaw Johnny standing on top of a ladder of a fire escape and pointed at an opened window “cmon, don't let this guy do you in man” V ran and jumped on the fire escape to chase after The Courier “thanks for the tip asshole…” Johnny chuckled as V followed, but once he left the apartment he saw The Courier at the end of the hallway holding some type of heavy weapon on his shoulder as a bomb was ejected from the weapon, followed by a sharp whistle, luckily V dodge it in enough time that the mini nuke passed through an opened window across the hall and into another building causing the building to be completely destroyed in a large mushroom cloud, reducing the building to rubble and destroying half of the apartment building.
The Courier saw where V stood and he was gone, he dropped the launcher and walked away at first until he heard V speak "goddamnit…alright…enough with the fancy equipment bullshit…” V’ had escaped the rubble and was looking rough as his body was covered in bruises, blood and tattered clothing, he had unlocked his Mantis Blades from his forearms as he looked towards The Courier who puts on his Deathclaw Gauntlets on both of his hands. The two stared each other down and V then activated his reinforced tendons, double jumping into the air and then coming down at The Courier, striking his mantis blades into the ground as the courier jumped back and then slashed at V who used his mantis blades to block the attack, he didn't let up and swiped the claws across V’s face causing some heavy bleeding but V striked back with a double stab towards The Couriers Torso, piercing his armor and chest with his blades, V stood there with a heavy breath as he looked down at his mantis blades piercing the Couriers chest, but he just breathed heavily before dropping his Deathclaw gauntlets and then suddenly pulled out a pulse grenade which exploded in V’s face, sending him back onto the ground.
Johnny appeared in V’s vision and kneeled down “really gonna let this stranger from out of the city do you in V?” V coughed “i don't know johnny. seems like he has too much shit for everything i throw at him…” Johnny rolled his eyes as he stood up and pointed out his old gun near V’s position “cmon, pick it up, don't forget you die i die too…giving up ain't the V i've grown to know…cmon Samurai, put this asshole down” V chuckled as he watched The Courier pull the bolt back on a Anti Material rifle, he then reached for the revolver and picked it up as the two men aimed at each other, they fired and hit each other, V got struck in the chest by a round from the rifle and The Courier got shot in the helmet, both men crumpled to their sides and were heavily injured.
But both men stood tall both covered in blood and heavy injuries neither one of them backed down so V charged at him and the two entered a grapple, both men were weakened but V yelled out as he activated his Berserk, He threw The Courier ahead and as he tried to pull out an energy rifle V rushed forward and stomped down on his arm to remove the gun from his hand, V pulled out a smart Revolver and shot a round at The Courier's helmet but the bullet grazed off of him, but V had used his Monowire and wrapped it around the Courier's neck, it burned as he tried to rip it off, but V managed to get him on his stomach as he put his foot on the Courier's back and pulled and ripped his head clean off, ending the Courier's life. V sat down from exhaustion and Johnny showed up again “huh, good job V, damn…that was tough…” Johnny chuckled as he puffed at a cigarette “grab the chip and we can get going back to the Afterlife” V grabbed the chip from The COurier's coat pocket and left the nearly destroyed apartment building with Johnny Silverhand right next to him.
FINISH!/RESULTS[]
Redshock: Woah talk about getting a head in life
Mortician: Too early Red, while The Courier had the edge in superior abilities and had a pretty extensive arsenal of things, and if he used energy weapons V couldn't react to those.
Redshock: But V could actually take it, he massively outclassed The Courier in terms of strength and durability and even speed with help from his Sandevistan
Mortician: And V could hack into Six’s implants and disable them and potentially disable him entirely, and it must be noted that a lot of fallout New Vegas’ perks are not combat oriented, and while The Couriers luck is absolutely insane, at some point it would run out…i mean, he could disable a security system with an incorrect password, thats literally impossible!
Redshock: While The Courier tried to keep going he just couldn't handle V's Superior Physicality, Hacking, And Greater Durability. It seems The Courier delivered his last package and his luck ran dry
Mortician: The Winner is: V!
