Why DBZ Power Levels are Flawed
There have been many arguments about power levels in the Dragon Ball series, and over time I've come to view Power Levels to be a flawed concept in general. So today, I decided to completely end the use of power levels in every online debate forevermore. Because that's how arguing works, right?
In all seriousness, I just want to write out why I don't pay much attention to power levels when looking at the strength of characters in this franchise.
"Power Level" is a concept introduced when Dragon Ball entered the Saiyan Saga and the anime got a "Z" tagged onto the end. Series Tiers
The following is an ongoing attempt to preemptively answer some of those "Verse A vs Verse B" fights that sometimes come up. In short, I plan on placing the series in tiers based on roughly how powerful they are compared to one another. Note that this will largely focus on the strongest few characters in each series.
Also, in low fantasy and some sci-fi settings with a fairly realistic version of Earth, only the verse's creations will be counted. That includes series like Harry Potter and Metal Gear,

The following are Death battles I'd like to see have the full Death Battle treatment. They may be covered on this wiki already, but seeing the animation is half of the fun of the series.
Thus, the following fights are not just matches I would find interesting, but also those I think would make for great fight scenes. This also implies that there would preferably be existing sprites or models of the characters involved.

Death Battle Trends and "Bias"
With the criticism aimed at Screwattack for their possible biases towards and against certain characters and series, I felt that it was time to take a look at their results as a group. At very least, this can point out recurring patterns.
I will be examining several factors for the various combatants. Within each category, the focus will be on characters who have different factors. For example, while Mega Man vs Astro Boy will be noted for having two competing mediums and franchises, the fact that they're both Japanese creations means that they will not be considered for the "Japan vs West" category.

- Princess Celestia vs Palutena - I DO NOT disagree with the results of the existing battle. If anything, I think Celestia didn't lose by a wide enough margin.
