A rocky planet, devoid of any signs of life, save for one man in orange gi training. It was a good place to test his strength and push his limits without endangering others.
He paused, sensing something off, then looked out in the far distance of space. Whatever it was, it was coming in fast and towards his location. He hopped backward in case of an attack, seeing a massive beam of continuous light of various colors, almost akin to a rainbow, struck the ground near where he stood.
A silhouette of a caped figure at first had him on edge, but with the beam beginning to dissipate, he could make out long hair, a winged helmet, and what he thought to be a mallet of sorts in hand.
“Art thou the one known as Gokuson?”
“I’m Son Goku. And you?”
“Thou dost address Thor Odinson.”
Now that the beam had concluded, Thor’s blonde hair, armor, and belt were now clearly visible, as was the “mallet” turning out to be a hammer.
“So what brings you here, Thor?”
“Word hath spread that thou dost possess the power of a god.”
“Oh, so you want me to do some kind of a test?”
“What’d be a better test of thine strength...”
Even out in space by this rocky planet, Goku heard thunder and saw lightning in the distance.
“...than a battle with the God of Thunder?”
Goku hopped backward, then took on his iconic stance.
“Okay. Now you’re speaking my language.”
“Thine love of battle is readily apparent. Now let us see thine skill in it.”
Goku jumped, almost appearing to fly, straight towards Thor, shouting with a punch. Thor had blocked it with his wrist, hammer in hand. The Saiyan then struck with his opposite hand, seeing Thor had stopped it with the same hand as before.
Now these two instances were so swift as to be indiscernible to normal human eyes, as was the barrage Goku unleashed afterward along with Thor’s continued defense.
“He’s stopping me with just one arm!”
Thor then used his other hand to push Goku back a considerable distance.
“That was just from him pushing me.”
He could tell the God of Thunder was holding back considerably had and made no move to pursue him.
“Come on, Thor!”
Goku adjusted his dark blue undershirt beneath his orange gi before getting combat ready once again.
“Give it everything you have and I’ll do the same! Now let’s do this!”
Thor swung his hammer in hand.
“As you wish, Gokuson.”
He then flew forward, Goku managing to sidestep it, then grab hold of Thor by his cape. He slammed Thor down, the thunder god being dragged down momentarily by his hammer until he stopped his momentum himself with a slam. Goku felt the ground shake, nearly losing his footing, then saw Thor leaping down towards him. He just avoided it, then fired ki bullets to occupy Thor’s attention. Instead, he saw Thor flew straight through them, and Goku was forced to drop kick in midair.
Instead of knocking Thor back, Goku himself was forced downward.
“Whoa. This guy’s built tough.”
He hoped he wouldn’t have needed it right away, but with Thor coming in fast...
“Kaio-Ken!”
“Kaio-...?”
Goku’s punch...
...stopped by Thor’s palm.
“Ken?”
Goku kicked off Thor once again, firing another array of ki bullets to cover his escape, then saw a bolt of lightning strike Thor’s hammer, followed by a bolt firing at him. Goku ducked just in time and then ran around him. To Thor, he saw multiple Goku’s in unison, practically indiscernible from each other. He fired several more bolts, as well as knocked back several ki bullets, but found all his blasts had missed while a few of Goku’s had managed to strike from behind or to the side.
Tiring of this, Thor held his hammer close.
“Mjolnir, find my foe.”
Goku heard this...
“Mijolnir?”
...then saw the hammer leave Thor’s hand, not towards one of his afterimages, but directly towards him.
“Whoa!”
He slid to avoid it, then, seeing Thor without his weapon...
“Now’s my opening!”
Goku flew and struck at Thor’s chest repeatedly...
..to no ill effect as Thor simply stared at his feeble attempts to harm him, pulling off the closest Asgardian equivalent to a shrug he could muster.
He grabbed hold of Goku by the back of his head with one hand, then had his other up for a reason that baffled the Saiyan...
...until he saw Mjolnir fly into that hand. Calling lightning into his hammer, he then swung Mjolnir down onto Goku, grounding him.
The red aura of Kaio-Ken having left him, Goku lied down in a crater from the impact as Thor had practically zero signs of damage on him.
“Do forgive me Gokuson, for I was mistaken.”
“H-how so?”
“Thou art a Gokuson, indeed... but not THE Gokuson I seek. The Gokuson with the power of a god.”
Raising his arm and hammer to the sky...
“I must figure out where this Gokuson resides...”
“Wait!”
Thor called off his departure upon hearing Goku’s voice.
“Now hold on a second there, Thor...”
Dusting himself off as he got back to his feet...
“If you’ve heard of me, you would know all about... Super Saiyan.”
“Super Saiyan? Ah. Do tell, mortal.”
“I’ll show you.”
Thor saw what appeared to be Goku’s hair beginning to stand up followed by a golden flash. The Odinson could feel the change in the air around Goku along with his glowing yellow hued hair, yet remained undeterred.
“Merely a new look?”
He threw a punch...
..but this time, the Super Saiyan had managed to catch it. With a gut punch from the other hand, Thor found himself not only struck back, but reeled ever so slightly from it. He had to fend off several punches soon after, now actually having to put more effort into protecting himself.
Thor swung Mjolnir down, Goku stopping him by grasping his wrists. But then Thor pushed downward with even more might, grounding the Super Saiyan immediately. Holding Mjolnir close once again as he started to float upward...
“By Odin’s beard...!”
An electrical tornado surrounded the Thunder God, as well as the area.
“Mighty Tornado!”
As it concluded, he saw no sign of Goku and looked all around him. He was then startled by a tap on his shoulder.
“What was that about buying Odin's beer?”
Upon hearing Goku’s voice, Thor swung Mjolnir, but caught Goku putting a hand in front of his face, then seemingly phasing away before the hammer could connect. Now he was struck by a double axe handle, then pursued with several kicks by Goku. Thor dropped his hammer initially, but then upon grasping Goku’s ankle, called it back with thunder coursing through him to the Super Saiyan.
“Do not insult Odin.”
He continued electrocuting the Saiyan, who simply tried lifting up his upper body to curl up into a ball. Or so Thor thought as with a charge of blue ki, created and expanded a field to knock Thor back and release himself. Aside from the steam emanating from Goku from Thor’s attack just then, the Odinson saw what looked like electricity coursing around his hair.
“And this, Thor... is Super Saiyan 2!”
He scratched his head.
“I doth not see any difference. Surely if thine hair changed color...”
Thor caught a punch in mid-sentence, but felt his wrist reeling as his hand was being forced back.
“But its power doth apparent.”
He punched Goku back with his other hand, the Super Saiyan 2 blocking it with both wrists, but was rocketed away from the impact. Thor span his hammer fast and fired straight back at him, but once again found Goku vanishing away in mid-hit.
“Find him once more.”
Mjolnir didn’t fly straight upward, but instead behind Thor, who then heard a grunt from Goku, who was struck in the stomach. As the hammer returned to Thor’s hand, Goku held onto it, then swept at Thor’s legs in midair. As Thor was off-balance, Goku hopped atop Mjolnir, then grabbed the Odinson’s legs. After jumping off the hammer, the Super Saiyan 2 span in place with Thor in tow with his Dragonthrow. Upon release, Thor nearly crash-landed, but was stopped by Mjolnir coming back to his hand and keeping him off the ground.
“That hammer of yours is pretty neat.”
“Twas forged by dwarves from the core of a dying star.”
Goku’s eyes went wide open and his jaw simultaneously dropped while grinning at the prospect of Mjolnir’s creation.
“Tis almost a shame thou hast no weapon of thine own.”
“Don’t be so sure.”
From a red case worn on his back, Goku pulled out what at first appeared to be a thin red cylinder of sorts...
...which grew to the size of a staff.
“Ah. A polearm.”
“The Power Pole. Got it from my grandpa.”
Staying more on the ground this time, the two engaged each other with their respected weapons. The Power Pole, even swung with the strength of a Super Saiyan 2, couldn’t get Mjolnir to nudge from Thor’s hand...
..but Thor found that a two-handed swing from Mjolnir to a kneeling Goku covering himself didn’t result in any damage to the polearm.
“How, pray tell, was this fine polearm forged?”
“Couldn’t tell you, Thor. I haven’t the foggiest.”
But as Goku stood with the pole, he then pressed it down just enough to plant it in the ground.
“But now let’s go even further beyond.”
“Beyond Super Saiyan 2? Thou dost mean...?”
A greater golden flash than the other two before it.
“It’s as easy as two plus one.”
Now Goku stood with his hair immensely longer and hanging behind him.
“Super Saiyan 3.”
Goku flying upward shook and cracked the ground beneath him as Thor then flew upward with Mjolnir leaving the same effect. He let out a chuckle before the two approached.
“It would appear that he... how does the Midgard saying go? He dost having a poor hair day.”
The two collided shoulder to shoulder, the air around them ripping. The two then went for a headbutt simultaneously, seemingly to no effect on either. Thor was struck on the cheek by a fist, then found that Goku caught his arm before it could swing Mjolnir downward. Instead, Goku swung Thor downward, then vanished away to bounce off the ground to kick Thor with both feet.
As Thor stopped his uncontrolled ascent with Mjolnir, he saw Goku cupping his hands together.
“Ka... meee...”
Thor saw blue energy coursing through them.
“Haaa... mee...”
Sensing a beam attack was imminent, Thor decided to strike first.
“I shall never tire!”
Instead of a narrow stream of lightning, Thor channeled and unleashed an even more massive one.
“Mighty Thunder!”
He saw no attempt from Goku to move his position and presumed even if Goku unleashed his attack then, his own blast could not best it. But once more, Goku disappeared as Thor’s own blast tunneled deep underground.
“He always vanishes close to me. Perhaps behind, above, or even...”
As Thor looked straight forward from where he floated, he saw the blue energy at its peak and Goku behind it.
“Haaaa!”
The Kamehameha from the likes of a Super Saiyan 3 was massive, almost akin to a beam from his rival, and readily viewable from orbit. But Goku sensed no difference in Thor’s ki or his location.
Sure enough, Thor remained, Mjolnir having shielded him.
“Not bad, mortal.”
“Unreal. His hammer absorbed it.”
“Now it is my turn.”
The Odinson jabbed with Mjolnir, then swung it down on the guarding Goku, who was left with his feet imbedded into the ground. Thor caught up soon after, forcing the Super Saiyan 3 to prioritize defense over trying to pull off Instant Transmission in the midst of Thor’s speedy onslaught.
“Boy, he’s fast. I can barely keep up with any of it.”
Managing to catch both of Thor’s arms, he then hopped and crouched to boot Thor on the jaw. As the Odinson caught his helmet departing from his head, he was punched back, leaving a trail on the ground as his back dragged across it. Another punch was headed right for him, but Thor took Goku’s wrist, then used the Super Saiyan 3’s own momentum to toss him even further back.
Upon bouncing off the ground, Goku began forming a disk-shaped attack in his hand. He saw Thor spinning Mjolnir and had to anticipate either his approach or the hammer being thrown.
“Heads up!”
“Do not try it!”
As Goku guessed, the latter of the two cases came to pass, with Thor throwing Mjolnir right at him.
“Thou fool!”
The thrown destructo-disk came into contact with Mjolnir only to shatter like glass as Goku was struck with the hammer dead-on in the chest and pinned to the ground with crossed wrists.
“It’s like the hammer weighs tons. I can’t lift myself up.”
Thor reveled in Mjolnir destroying the projectile, as well as stopping Goku from so much as moving. But from the corner of his eye...
“Another disk?!”
Goku thought he was managing to lift Mjolnir...
...but that was from the hammer being flown back to Thor in an attempt to counter the bladed projectile and leaving him behind. But this entire sequence took place in seconds, or perhaps even faster than that, as by the time Mjolnir was close enough to be grasped, Thor was forced to avoid the destructo-disk himself.
Instead, Mjolnir flew past Thor, as for the first time in the fight, the Odinson screamed out in pain and blood spilled. Goku saw that the second destructo-disk he threw unbeknown to Thor did connect...
..leaving a cut on the right side of his face from his forehead to his cheek and his right eye now blood red.
“Thou wouldst dare...! To spill the blood of the son of Odin?!”
Just then, Goku shook: he sensed an immense increase in power around Thor, then saw him with pure white eyes.
“I SHALL SMASH THEE!!!”
Goku hopped backward with a barrage of ki bullets, but even with these coming from a Super Saiyan 3, Thor tore straight through them and clotheslined him. But the impact didn’t floor Goku: he was sent deep below. He saw Thor hopping down below them and only through a well-timed Instant Transmission did he avoid a two-handed slam. Goku emerged high above atop ground level, but then felt Thor ripping through the layers of rock beneath him like paper in pursuit of him.
The Super Saiyan 3 found the Power Pole in the same place as before and as he ripped it out, he had to redirect a jab from Thor. Goku noted that instead of attacking around it, Thor was trying to go straight through it.
“Whatever this is, he’s gone completely berserk!”
He managed to jab Thor in the throat with the Power Pole, held it against his neck, then scurried behind him, holding onto the polearm and pressing it down with the enraged Odinson unable to reach him.
“Now if I can just hold on until he’s tuckered out...”
But then lightning rained down onto Thor himself, and with that, Goku too.
“It’s not just the hammer...”
Eventually the electrocution became so excruciating that Goku was forced to let go of the Power Pole and drop. Thor grabbed him by the neck with one hand, threatening to crush him with that hand alone. Goku tried keeping it from squeezing further with one hand and punched him in the head several times with the other, but to no avail. Thor then punched him straight on with the other hand, Goku’s arms dangling after the impact with blood dripping down to the ground.
“Thou art no god.”
But Goku, even with individual streaks of blood coming from below his hair, managed to lift his head and both hands to the sides of his face.
“Solar FLARE!!!”
This feral Thor cried out once more, covering his eyes as Goku didn’t follow up with attacks, instead getting some distance while still facing him.
“Attacking him now would be no use. He’d withstand anything I’d throw at him.”
As the blinded Thor took a few steps forward, Goku’s terror had begun to segue to confidence.
“Comparing your strength before to right now, I’d say you’re about ten times stronger.”
Goku’s attitude somewhat baffled even this angry Thor.
“But don’t worry...”
Even amidst his rage, Thor all but stared at the transformation that followed and its aftermath:
Now Goku stood even taller, most of his upper body covered in crimson-shaded hair, a tail behind him, the hair atop his head black once more, and his closed eyelids red.
His eyes opened, his iris’ yellow.
“Now so am I.”
Thor’s lunge rocked the planet, though Goku remained standing, nonchalant to the shift. Lightning surged in his fists as he swung one, finding it hit nothing but air, then the other to the same effect. Goku swerved in place, then gave a chuckle as he crossed his arms.
The Odinson swung wildly, but Goku continued to dodge them before hopping back, his arms uncrossed. Now he approached Thor on foot.
“Snap out of it, Thor. You’re not going to win this way.”
The moment Thor made another approach, Goku stopped in place, his arms out ready for what was to come. Each of the feral punches that came his way, even with lightning enhancing them, were redirected.
“Cur! Flea-bitten cur!”
Thor became more impatient as all his attacks had accomplished nothing. Goku then found the opening he had been looking for as Thor went for another two-handed slam. Catching both wrists, he then proceeded to spin Thor in place with such force that he appeared to be akin to a wheel. With red ki in his fist, Goku let out his first punch to Thor’s abdomen, which did more than just rocket him back...
…his belt fell to the ground from where he formerly stood.
“His power just went down...”
Thor lied right next to Mjolnir and used it to lift himself back up. Goku noted that his head was down.
“You okay there?”
“I’m quite all right now, Gokuson.”
Goku heard Thor no longer speaking in his guttural tone or language, but as himself again.
“What was that?”
“Warrior Madness. To give in to Warrior Madness any further would sully my name and my father’s name.”
He started to rise...
“I will be under its spell no longer.”
...Mjolnir in hand.
“And what of you, Gokuson? Your form is quite...”
He then realized Goku had a red tail swinging behind him.
“How did you achieve such a transformation?”
“I became a Golden Great Ape. Almost lost myself there... but my granddaughter got me out of it, so now you’re looking at Super Saiyan 4.”
“Really? Why once, I was turned into a frog.”
Goku smirked, but then looked back at Thor’s belt and thought back to the matter at hand.
“Your power’s been halved since I hit your belt.”
“Megingjord, the Belt of Strength.”
“Aren’t you going to put the belt back on?”
“Why wouldst thou allow the opportunity? For a fair fight?”
“It’s not about a fair fight. I want you to use everything you have at your disposal. To give it everything you have, like I said.”
“That I shall...”
Thor looked back to it one more time, then back to Goku.
“Though I hath no further need of it. If I am to defeat thee, I shall do so with not just my own power and my father’s...”
His hammer raised and Goku felt the air beginning to turn hot.
“...but also that of my mother.”
Flames erupted around Thor, but Goku quickly realized it wasn’t coming from the ground.
“Thou art strong. Thine reputation precedes thee.”
Now Thor’s blood red right eye took on a fiery hue, glowing even.
“But now you face the full might of the son of Odin and Firehair.”
Even without the Belt of Strength, Goku found the prospect of this new power within Thor exciting.
“I think it’s safe to say I’ve met my match.”
“Aye, I believe thou hast.”
The two flew straight into each other...
While from orbit, cracks were becoming plainly visible on the planet itself.
The two clashed multiple times at such a speed that even seasoned warriors of their like would have trouble keeping up with it. Fists collided, Mjolnir unleashed both lightning and flame, and more and more of the ground beneath their feet began to crumble and sink. Their very combat was going to mean the end of this barren planet and would’ve been disastrous on any teeming with life.
Super Saiyan 4 Goku had withstood immense heat. Heat claimed to be equal to that of the Earth’s sun. And yet this heat had begun to hurt him.
“Thor’s power isn’t just that of a god. This is something else entirely.”
He transitioned to an Instant Transmission barrage just to get hits in, which succeeded for the most part...
“Feel Heaven’s wrath!”
Thor grabbed Goku between his neck and shoulder without even turning to face him, having now fully caught on to how Instant Transmission works.
“Mighty Punish”
He then swung Goku upward with Mjolnir, then had the hammer fly upward and crash back down onto him.
“By Mjolnir’s power!”
Surging with both thunder and flame, it slammed Goku to the ground. Now pinned on his stomach with Mjolnir on his back, the Super Saiyan 4 had to endure this deadly combination of elements.
“I think I can reach the hammer, but...”
Not knowing if it would do any good to attempt lifting it, he instead went for Instant Transmission. The moment Thor heard the hammer touch the ground...
“Foreseeable!”
He turned behind him, Mjolnir returning to his hand, firing off lightning and flame, but found Goku covered himself with a bubble-esque shield of ki. He then caught a glimpse of his Power Pole rolling across the sinking ground and, without moving a single limb, brought it towards him.
“Power Pole...!”
He broke off the shield, sidestepped the ensuing elemental blast, and took hold of his grandfather’s polearm.
“Extend!”
He took careful aim, accounting for movement from Thor, and pointed it directly at Mjolnir...
…specifically its belted strap. With the Power Pole poking through the loop, he swung the enlarged polearm, sending Mjolnir out of Thor’s hands. But as a result, his Power Pole was taken from his hands as well, effectively weighed down.
Goku struck at Thor before he could summon Mjolnir back, knocking him upward and taking them to the sky. He made several high speed passes at Thor, who seemed to keep up, but was now unable to pursue him.
“I knew it! The hammer is what makes him fly!”
Time and time again, Mjolnir tried returning back to Thor, but was kept out of his reach by the ensuing hit.
“Go to his hand.”
As Goku, having struck Thor directly above him by the stomach, opened up his palm to fire ki directly at Thor’s face...
...he felt Mjolnir’s handle float directly into it, to which Goku instinctively grasped at it.
“Down thy go.”
Now Goku found Mjolnir brought down on his forehead, leading to him falling straight down with immense force. Thor fell down after him, ready to call back Mjolnir whenever he pleased or watch as Goku was slammed through the entire planet once he reached its surface.
“Can’t stop myself in the air, even with my ki!”
Goku got his other hand around the handle and tried gesturing it away from his head.
“Don’t think I can even lift it, but maybe...”
Thor took a closer look, seeing Goku straining even as a Super Saiyan 4 to move Mjolnir...
...and, be it actuality or the Thunder God mistaking it from the speed of their fall, thought he saw Mjolnir move ever slightly in Goku’s hands. He gestured the hammer back to him, then dropkicked the Super Saiyan 4 as it returned to him. This was all right as they reached the surface with Goku’s lower body being sent through rock before the rest of him sunk while Thor went straight down completely due to his speed.
Goku floated back up while Thor hovered with the spinning Mjolnir.
“You’re running out of ground, Odinson. How long can you spin that hammer for?”
“Indeed I am, Gokuson. And I do believe thine energy is running out as well.”
Both couldn’t hope to hide the smiles forming on their faces.
“You called my bluff. I think we both know our next moves will decide this.”
“Surely songs will be written of our battle. Let us ensure its finale is most gratifying.”
Goku’s ki began to go from a red hue to more of a golden one as Thor swung Mjolnir so fast it practically appeared to be invisible.
“Ready?”
“Ready.”
Both flew forward, Goku with his fist out and Thor with Mjolnir towing him.
“HAVE AT THEE!!!”
“Dragon FIIIST!!!”
Thor released Mjolnir as a result of the punch that struck him. He watched as Goku quickly became a distant speck from how much force was behind Mjolnir...
..but saw a golden ki dragon collide with him soon after. As he tried turning in midair, Thor found the dragon above him and now coming at him with its fanged mouth open. He kept it from biting down with his hands and feet, but also began to be struck straight through the deeper layers of the planet and soon to its very center.
Goku found that he was unable to break free as the full force behind Mjolnir combined with the two elements surrounding it was too much for even a Super Saiyan 4. His surroundings became an indescribable blur and he was left to wonder if Mjolnir had sent him around the entire planet or if it had several times in that one sitting.
Thor had held off on calling back Mjolnir due to the damage it would be unleashing upon its recipient. Now making his way through to the planet’s other side, he was still unable to slow down the ki dragon, let alone stop it.
Suddenly, Mjolnir left Goku to his devices. He found that he could finally turn his body in midair and could even slow himself with his ki, but with the damage he had received combined with his reserves running low, he tried to do so minimally.
The ki dragon vied to clamp down with Thor holding it back with one less hand, doing so slowly. Mjolnir flew in right as it finally closed.
Goku had slowed down enough that the landscape was finally becoming visible again, but also sensed that the golden ki dragon had been vanquished. He sensed that he would reach Thor soon and bet that the Odinson, however tired he may be, would be ready for him.
“Kame...”
Thor could hear him even from that far away.
“Ha... meee...”
He saw from a distance that the glow of red ki came not just from Goku’s hands, but from beneath him as well. Thor was confident even such a technique from a Super Saiyan 4 couldn’t best Mjolnir.
“HAAAAA!!!”
He had Mjolnir in front of him like before to block it, but instead saw Goku flung himself with two Kamehameha’s, one from his hands and the other from his feet. With all four limbs occupied, the only other means with which Goku had to strike was his own head. Thor timed his swing precisely...
...but Goku had actually bended the Kamehamehas, swerving just a few singed hairs short of the swing directly into Thor’s chest. The impact for both was enough for them to black out.
The planet where they waged their battle had now effectively cracked into two halves, each beginning to go in opposite directions.
Goku awoke, having reverted back to his base form. He was on his back, reeling, and unable to lift himself back up. He could only lift himself enough to see that he was on the edge of that half of the planet and on the other half was a speck that he knew was Thor. While he couldn’t make out his condition from sight at that distance, he sensed that not only was he drained, but that his condition was grave.
“Oh no. Thor!”
He then saw that Mjolnir was standing right next to him.
“Go, Mijolnir. Your friend needs you.”
He saw no movement on its part.
“Come on!”
He crawled toward it, then took hold of its handle.
“You have to hurry! He’s not going to make it!”
All of Goku’s words appeared to do nothing, so he resorted to getting on his knees and trying to lift it off the ground himself.
“Just hang on, Thor!”
One hand didn’t get Mjolnir to budge and neither did two.
“You can’t just sit there and let Thor die!”
Even if he was at full power, Goku had worked out that lifting Mjolnir wasn’t about strength. It didn’t help either of the times he had attempted it in their battle. But he had to try.
“I won’t let him die! I won’t...!”
He gasped:
Goku felt himself lifting Mjolnir off the ground.
“Did I just...?”
The hammer then flew out of his hand towards the other half of the planet. He realized it was a fluke like the other times, but hoped it meant Thor would be saved.
Lightning struck the other half of the planet.
“He’s okay.”
Goku then saw a blur flying in his direction.
“Thor!”
He landed, his wounds having vanished without a trace.
“Did I send your hammer to you?”
“I summoned Mjolnir to me with the little life I had left. And now I’m ready for another bout.”
Goku couldn’t help but fall onto his back.

Thor chuckled, but couldn’t help but find himself putting a hand above his stomach, unable to hide his discomfort even amidst his own recovery.
“Fear not, for I know one remedy.”
Goku sat up.
“Ooh, is it food?”
“How didst thou know?”
“It always helps after a big fight.”
“Then I shall have a feast awaiting us.”
He helped Goku onto his feet, then handed him something:
“I do believe this is thine...”
Goku was happy to see the Power Pole had been saved and used it to keep himself standing up. Meanwhile, Thor had Mjolnir raised.
“Thou hast fought well, Son of Goku.”
“Son Goku.”
“That’s what I said.”
“No, no, it’s my name. Son Goku.”
“Ah. I see.”
He lowered his arm...
“Well Son Goku...”
...and held his hammer in front of Goku.
“Perhaps thou wouldst be worthy of Mjolnir.”
Goku shook his head.
“I think I’ll pass.”
“Suit thineself.”
The rainbow beam from long before surrounded them both as they soon vanished without a trace.
