Interlude[]
"Athela Alters Destiny In Death Battle!"[]
(Cue: Don't Ever Forget)
Wiz: Hope. Hope is something required for humanity to persevere through all hardships and overcome the impossible.
Boomstick: And it’s also something the nation of Oakheart was lacking. Poverty, warring royals, and constant murders were only the beginning for what Oakheart was to experience under King Randulfus, who no matter how good his intentions were, nothing ever seemed to go right.
Wiz: But soon, long-anticipated hope arrived… in the form of an impressively timid girl named Athela.
Information[]
- Name: Athela Robin Canmore
- Height: 4’9”*Weight: 110 pounds
- Age: 16
- Likes: Singing, sweets, hiding in her room, cute animals
- Dislikes: Singing with anyone around, leaving her room, intimidation, anything with sharp teeth
Boomstick: However, lil miss Canmore’s path wasn’t all luxurious, though. Her parents were killed early in her life by a plague spreading through their village, which caused Athela and her grandmother, her only other surviving family member, to flee to a small village named Troutberk.
Wiz: Given the village’s low amount of defense, Athela was easy pickings for the local sadistic cult, going by the name of the Ascension Cult, and Athela, alongside multiple other children, were kidnapped by the cult.
Boomstick: The Ascension Cult was practically what you would get from mixing mole people and Nazis- with the townspeople having no way to fight back, the cult managed to herd the children down to their mole-people-Concentration-camps and they experimented on them.
Wiz: These experiments involved gruesome murder of the weak, injection of strength-increasing serums and having the children fight to the finish in order to separate the strong from the weak. The cult’s goal was to create a group of superhuman knights that would ensure their domination over Oakheart and rise to power.
Boomstick: All of those who were given the serum’s hair had also turned white due to genetic hubbub, and they also became more physically crippled, in exchange for a boost in magical abilities. Kinda sounds like steroids, but medieval!
Wiz: The chosen ones were quickly narrowed down, until Athela was put on the chopping block, alongside another captive who was also the King Randulfus’ second born son, named Lumiere.
Wiz: The two soon bonded over their shut-in natures and later on devised a way to escape. Using Lumiere’s cunning and Athela’s naturally gaunt body, they snuck past the defenses and went on their separate ways.
Boomstick: That is… until six years later! Tiiiiiiimeskiiiiiip! Athela was visited by Lumiere once more, who was planning on escorting himself and Athela back to the base where the experiments took place, nabbing weapons from the mole-Nazis and discovering the truth of the experiments.
Wiz: Lumiere’s true intentions were, however, unknown to Athela at the time. His goal was to take the throne with his newly acquired weapons from the cult and murder his parents and elder brother, allowing his rule to bring Oakheart out of it's terrible state. Not paying attention to the spoilers, Athela decided to accompany Lumiere (and a few of his childhood friends) on his plight to uncover their past.
Boomstick: So the wimpy little lady, her emo friend and a bunch of others we won’t be getting into today, set out on their quest to steal a bunch of medieval nukes from mole people and end racism!
Wiz: …were you even listening?
Boomstick: I was not, but let’s get into her weapons!
Wiz: Sigh… the experiments conducted on her in her childhood gave Athela multiple magical abilities, which include:
Magic[]
- Fire Magic: Spells capable of manipulating fire. Athela has, in the past, created fireballs and even full-scale tornadoes out of fire.
- Water Magic: A spell she’s learnt to the point where she can fill a water canteen with a spell. She can manipulate water, but at small amounts.
- Light Magic- Spells that revolve around the manipulation of light. Can be used to fire dangerous blasts of light.
- Wind Magic- Spells mainly used for escapes. They allow the user to propel themselves away from trouble, or blow an enemy away from them.
- Desperation: When nearing death, Athela is given a boost in strength, speed and durability.
Boomstick: Though, Athela’s main weapon is one of the many mole Nazi weapons- a legendary sword that may or may not be used to cut butter and humans alike!
Wiz: This blade is called the Divine Blade, which is a pretty misleading name, given that it’s quite literally infused with the blood of the experimented children.
The Divine Blade[]
- The Divine Blade: A blade with a terrible history, only capable of being used by those who were part of the cult’s experiments.
- Said blade is imbued with the power to heal the user.
- Made from the blood and bones of deceased experiments**The blade has the ability to ignore armor, making it very useful against opponents stronger than the user.
- However, using the blade for prolonged amounts of time can weaken the user, and even cripple them permanently if used for too long in one standing
Boomstick: But behind the curtains, evil things were going on in Oakheart as the five were off questin’. A mysterious Black Knight, a scourge of legend, ravaged the city and killed King Randulfus, his wife and his first child, soon taking the reins of Oakheart. Plot twist!
Wiz: After uncovering what the experiments’ point was, the group then decided to head back. By that point, Athela was shedding her reclusive shell and had even formed a small relationship with Alexander, one of the groups’ members.
Boomstick: But when they returned to Oakheart… boom! Everyone’s dead or injured, including the royal family. Everyone was taken aback by the innocent lives lost and soon barged into the castle walls to figure out what happened.
Wiz: They soon discovered that the culprit was, in fact the Black Knight. They took up arms and fought afterwards.
Boomstick: After a short skirmish, the Black Knight was soon whacked into next Tuesday, only to be revealed that the Black Knight was a mere set of armor, being controlled by Lumiere. So. Many. Goddamn plot twists!
Wiz: He revealed his true intentions, and offered his hand to Athela, telling her that they could soon convert the nation’s beliefs and ideals away from power and into merit, as hunger for power was what ruined their childhoods in the first place. Athela, stricken by grief at her friend’s betrayal, refused and attempted to escape the castle along with her newfound friends, only for Alexander to take a mortal blow from the Black Knight. The group was soon chased into different directions and away from each other…
Boomstick: Another tiiiiiimeskiiiiiip! 5 years after the events of Lumiere’s betrayal, Athela had spent most of her time trainin’ with her sword in order to regain peace for Oakheart and find her estranged friends. However, such a quest could not be completed without good feats, which Athela has in abundance! ===Feats ===*Athela has reacted to Lumiere’s light spells, which are capable of moving half the speed of light
- Has trained with and is even capable of overwhelming Alexander, who has crushed a skull
- While sparring with Alexander, she managed to protect herself from a few of his blows. Alexander is said to be able to swing a blade faster than the eye can see*Managed to make a journey across Oakheart in a few days. Oakheart is about the size of Australia
- Agile enough to dodge speeding arrows
- The Divine Blade is said to be able to cleave mountains in half
- Survived a direct blow from one of Castle Oakheart’s Arcane cannons, which shoot beams of fire capable of splitting clouds
- The Divine Blade is capable of cutting through metal like butter*Has taken direct hits from the Black Knight, who was said to level cities in the past
- Survived a magically-induced earthquake
Wiz: But with strengths, must come weaknesses.
Faults[]
- Incredibly reluctant to fight
- Incredibly inexperienced
- Physically weak and heavily reliant on weapons*Clumsy and tends to mess up in combat
- Not much of a strategist, tends to not think things over
Wiz: Not forgetting those who have sacrificed to not only her search for answers- but for their own goals as well- Athela will change even destiny to make things right.
Athela: "Multiple miracles have made this journey possible. Now, I pray for one more!"
Diviknight[]
(Cue: Pokémon Black & White - Champion Cynthia Battle Music)
Genesis: Hey, that's my Pokemon!
Laser: While we don't know it's origin (Diviknight is genderless, but is sometimes described with he/him), we do know that it lives in the castle of origin, where every fakemon was created, like Registar or Necrosect.
Genesis: Diviknight was sent to help Registar and Bishlurk (Bisharp+Golurk) prevent the summoning of the being of destruction, Eeveus.
Laser: Well, then things went horribly wrong. Astrodon appears and banishes Eeveus to the disortion realm (at least Giratina isn't alone anymore), and scatters the witnesses to different areas.
Genesis: Registar was sent flying into a temple, which became his home, the whole Necrosect species was sent into a forest, which they turned into a city, and Diviknight crashed into a mountain range, which became his home and training grounds.
Laser: After catching Necrosect, me, Genesis, and Registar went hiking, we accidentally ran into the mountain he called his home, and like a regular Pokemon, he attacked us, which gave me the perfect time to use my newly caught Necrosect, and-
Genesis: Lose.
Laser: Hey! I didn't lose, both got knocked out because Diviknight threw a STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) BEHEMOTH BLADE (yes, he can use that) which collided with Necrosect's signature move, which still doesn't have a name.
Genesis: After that fiasco, it decided to let me catch it for some unknown reason. And that's it.
Weapons[]
Registar: Diviknight has the ability sharpness, which increases the power of slashing moves.
Genesis: Speaking of slashing moves, Diviknight has every slashing move, which is listed here:
- Night Slash, Type: Dark. Higher chance to land a critical hit when it lands.
- Psycho Cut, Type: Psychic. Higher crit chance when it hits.
- X-Scissor, Type: Bug. No side effect, but it had a higher crit chance in Legends: Arceus.
- False Swipe, Type: Normal. Always leaves the target alive.
- Cut, Type: Normal. No side effect.
- Fury Cutter, Type: Bug. Does more damage for each consecutive hit.
- Dragon Claw, Type: Dragon. No side effect, but similarly to X-Scissor, it had a higher crit chance in Legends: Arceus.
- Shadow Claw, Type: Ghost. Higher crit chance if it hits.
- Night Slash, Type: Dark. Higher crit chance if the attack lands.
- Air Slash, Type: Flying. Has a chance to make the enemy flinch/stop the target from moving.
- Fury Swipes, Type: Normal. Hits 2-5 times if it lands.
- Leaf Blade, Type: Grass. Higher crit chance it the attack lands.
- Air Cutter, Type: Flying. Higher crit chance if the attack lands.
- Metal Claw, Type: Steel. Chance to increase the user's attack if it lands.
- Behemoth Blade, Type: Steel. Damage doubles if the attack hits a dynamax/massive target.
- Cross Poison, Type: Poison. Higher crit chance if the attack hits the enemy and has a chance to poison the victim.
- Bitter Blade, Type: Fire. User heals when it hits the opponent. How much health it heals depends on how much damage the user dealt to the victim.
Genesis: And that's just the beginning of his moves. Diviknight can also learn:
- Flash Cannon, Type: Steel. Has a chance to lower the opponent's special defense, making them take more damage from non-physical attacks.
- Iron Head, Type: Steel. Has a chance to make the opponent flinch/stun the opponent.
- Moonblast, Type: Fairy. Has a chance to lower the opponent's attack, which makes them weaker.
- Swords Dance, Type: Normal. Raises the user's attack, making them stronger.
- Dazzling Gleam, Type: Fairy. No additional effects.
- Protect, Type: Normal. Protects the user from attacks, but has a chance to fail.
- Substitute, Type: Normal. User loses some health, but will make a substitute to take damage for it until it takes too much damage, then it fades.
- Iron Defense, Type: Steel. User raises it's defense, making itself more durable.
- Recover, Type: Normal. User heals itself. That's it.
Genesis: Okay, now we need to move to feats.
Feats[]
Laser: Diviknight is no pushover. It can fight evenly with Necrosect, who can defeat a Stupidly Slow Start restrained Registar, who defeated Regigigas in a even fight. As you know, Regigigas can LITERALLY MOVE CONTINENTS WITH LITTLE DIFFICULTY.
Registar: Diviknight can also knock Tyranitar unconscious in one hit, and according to its pokedex entry, Tyranitar can obliterate mountains.
Genesis: Diviknight, in order to protect the city, ended up rushing into a meteorite head-first, which destroyed it. Not only that, but Diviknight survived the impact!
Laser: It's not slow either. In fact, it has balanced stats (In both pokemon gameplay and as an OC). It has dodged a solar beam, which is a literal sun laser.
Genesis: Diviknight has also dodged attacks from Laser, who is a literal shadow, and scales to his own lasers.
Laser: Diviknight has tanked hits from Necrosect, who took down SSS restrained Registar, and we already said what he can do.
Genesis: His metal can not rust, and his blades are unbreakable. Unfortunately, that's all of his feats.
Flaws[]
Laser: Diviknight, however, isn't flawless. He has a lack of ranged attacks and is one of the weakest Laserverse OCs.
Registar: Being a Steel-Fairy type he is weak to fire and ground attacks, but is immune to attacks that have anything to do with dragons and poison.
Genesis: Not only that, but Diviknight hasn't shown any signs of having higher IQ than an average human, but because he knows everything about the castle of origin and outsmarted a Gastrodon that knows how to summon a god, we can say he has IQ higher than the average human, but that's debatable.
Laser: Diviknight may not be the most impressive Fakemon, but he has some impressive things that make him truly legendary.
(The Death Battle doors close.)
Intermission[]
Death Battle[]
The Castle of Origin was shrouded in mystery, and despite it's humble looks, the castle was a dangerous place. And unfortunately for Athela Canmore, it was another territory soon to be under Lumiere's control.
Despite the small army she was part of, she was entrusted with a rather large regiment of soldiers to help seize the castle, given that it would provide an amazing tactical advantage over the opposing army. However, one thing was still required- someone had to investigate the castle to see if there were any hidden traps or soldiers. Athela was hesitant to do so, but since she saw herself as one of the less important soldiers, she and two other soldiers entered the castle.
Athela held her left hand out once they were in the castle, and a flame ignited in the palm of her hand. In her right hand, she held her sword, the Divine Blade, close to her side. The castle was dark, but the flame provided enough luminescence for the three of them. She soon encountered a dead end, which made her more afraid of what she might find. She turned her head around to where the other soldiers were standing the last time she looked back, but only heard two metallic swings.
*SHINK!*
*SHINK!*
The two sounds only frightened the woman even more, causing her to stumble backwards. "I think we s-should head back...?" The last word was delivered in an interrogative sense as she could see one of the soldier's helmets slide towards her in a macabre way.
Athela quickly drew her sword, her hand shaking with fear. "Who's there...?" She asks, despite her not expecting an answer.
The footsteps from the creature only grow louder and louder, causing Athela to back up. "We cannot just stand idly and let the fires of war consume the world... I suggest that you... whatever you are... relinquish this stronghold so we can end the cycle..."
The creature steps forward. It was unlike anything Athela had ever seen- it was Diviknight, the Divine Blade Pokemon. It began to speak with a translator it was wearing. "You humans never change. War and death are natural things that you have all tried to change..."
(Cue: Attack of the Killer Queen - Remix Cover By Vetrom)
"You won't be the first human I've had to put out of their misery..." The Pokemon got into an intimidating battle stance.
"And you certainly won't be the last."
