Boomstick- Yknow, we can sum up this interlude with the one with the one we used in Sasuke vs. Hiei. So, here we go.
(*Boomstick takes a remote and plays a clip back in said official episode*)
Wiz- They're grimm, nihilistic, and dreadfully ominous. Even when they fight on the side of good, they never crack a smile or share in their reward
Boomstick- Oh great, we're talking about edgelords aren't we?
Boosmtick(*present*)- And basically sums it up. So, Wiz?
Wiz- We're not going to do this again, we did that in the last episode, and im not doing this again.
(*Wiz takes the remote, and restarts everything. including the music*)
Wiz- As curiosity has it's own reason for existing, one cannot help but be in awe when contemplates the mysteriousness of eternity, or life. But sometimes, the mystery lies within the person. Now that's how you do an intro.
Boomstick- Hmph. Would have saved us time.
Wiz- Blake Belladonna, The white fang rogue turned huntress of team RWBY.
Boomstick- And Laura Kinney. Marvel's clone and successor wolverine, code named X-23. He's Wiz and Im Boomstick!
Wiz- And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a DEATH BATTLE.
Blake pounces into DEATH BATTLE[]
Wiz- As we said before the world of Remnant is known for many things. The Hunstman and Huntresses that battle the dark fierce creatures known as Grimm, The Schnee Family, the family that own's the largest Dust producing company of the world, and more importantly, the Faunus race.
Boomstick- A group of anthropomorphic humans that tend to fall under the category of "outsiders".
Wiz- The race itself has been a victim of racism across the entire world, whether or not the reason maybe.
Boomstick:- Blaming them for all catastrophes, making fun of their anthropomorphic part, or just treating them like absolute crap in general. Hell, it got so bad, that they put the damn suckers on an island far away from the city, to the point of isolation.
Wiz- And as expected, some members of the faunus race formed a group. A cult, that sought to seek peace and equality between Faunus and Humans. This, was the White Fang.
Boomstick- Yeah, that name is totally not gonna be foreshadowing. Spoilers, it is
Wiz- Living amongst those who wanted equality, Blake Belladonna was proud of her heritage even at a young age. Born into the essentially chief of the island Menagerie, Blake joined the White Fang at a young age, essentially protesting as much as possible to get human's attention. But as she grew older, the methods of the White Fang began to change.
Boomstick- I mean with a name like that, it sounds pretty obvious that they turn evil.
Wiz: The White Fang abruptly began to use more violent and lethal methods for their equality. But as a result, it made things worse. The group became feared, as a former peace keeping cult to a bloody thirsty terrorist group.
Boomstick: Unlike other members Blake began having self awareness of her actions. To the point she severed her connection with the White Fang, by...severing a train car....I had a word for this, and lost it.
Wiz: Soon, Blake would enroll in the Kingdom Vale's combat school, Beacon Academy. Becoming a team that soon combat the White Fang, and -
Boomstick: And a pimp who looks like a rejected Clockwork Orange.
Wiz: But of course, she wouldn't be where she be without her skills. She is an exceptional strategist, Super athletic, Stealthy, and skilled at close and long ranged weapon combat. Thanks to her weapon, Gamble Shroud.
Boomstick: And this where I come in. Gamble Shroud is a fancy little weapon that at first, appears to be a standard katana mixed in with a glock pistol. Cause, everything in RWBY is a gun. But it also has 3 distinctive uses in fighting. As its 3 weapons rolled in 1. The first form is your standard katana, and glock pistol combination, and that scabbard is no normal sword scabbar. Its pretty much a blade sheathed within a balde that she can use as a secondary sword... so technically 4 forms?. But, she is more use to her pagnent Kusari-gama.
Wiz: In ancient ninja history, the Kusari-gama is described as a combination between a kama, and a kusari fudo. However, the weapon itself is rather difficult to master, making Blake's skill all the more impressive.
(*Pop-up: Knowing she has used the weapon before, she should know Kusarigamajutsu, the art of Kusarigama combat*)
Boomstick: Ironic for a lady to have, when she secretly reads Ninja. Romance. Novels! That can't be a coincidence. Though wonder if she would like the Icha Icha books. Hehehe...
Wiz: Well, books aside, Blake is shown to be the most cunning and strategic of the team. Often one making strategies, Studied on multiple fighting styles and identifying them, and learn to manifest her weapon as a conduit of a sort for her aura.
Boomstick: Aura is the manifestation within oneself that can be used for multiple things. More famously creating a shield around the body to protect it from fatal blows. But it is also use to power semblances.
(Cuts to Wiz and Boomstick)
Wiz: As we covered before, semblances are manifestations of a persons power, said power differentiates from person to person. One could grant the user incredible speed, one could grant the ability to manipulate metal. Blake's semblance is called Shadow. Using it, Blake can create multiple clones of herself at will and-
Boomstick: Woah woah woah, ok, wait a minute. It's called "Shadow" and she can create "clones".... I feel like she's straight up trying to be a ninja. I mean, ninja weapon, ninja skill, ninja like techniques, is she some ninja fanatic or did the writers unintentionally made a cat-ninja?
Wiz: Likely the latter. It's...maybe a coincidence?
Boomstick: Coincidence? I THINK NOT!
(Back to the analysis)
Wiz: What i was trying to say before, Blake can create several different clones depending on what type of dust she use. In total, Blake has 4 different elemental clones that she can utilize.
Boomstick: Her first is the shadow clone. I swear to god. This clone creates a mist version of herself that can be used to screw up her foes vision. And due to it lasting a damn while, it is definetly the one Blake utilizes the most.
Wiz: Her fire clone creates a clone of fire that can create a miniature explosion, that can even be set off if made physical contact. Her ice clone can trap an enemies weapon if they try to strike her, and if close enough can even freeze them completely
Boomstick: Last but not least, is her stone clone. No, she doesn't get stoned... sadly. But it does create a statue of blake that can cause tremurs that can stun enemies for short brief time.
Wiz: Blake's faunus heritage also gives her abilities to a cat. Like Better vision in the dark , and super hearing. in comparison, a normal cat can pinpoint the sound's location within around 6/100ths of a second.
Boomstick: Pretty fair, since she is one damn agile little kitty kat. She's regularly dodged missiles on a daily basis. Hell she even dodged a lightning attack from this giant Grimm Dragon.
Wiz: On that same boat, Blake's friend, Sun was also able to intercept the lightning breath. Giving the distance between Sun and the beast and the time it took for the lightning to hit, Sun had to have been moving at speeds of over mach 11. Over 15 x the speed of sound.
Boomstick: And shes a tough one too. She survived an explosion that sent her flying through a metal door, got shot in the face, and survived a train crash. Which we calculated before and it was a little over 7 tons of tnt.
Wiz: She's strong enough to shatter her own ice constructs, slice apart a Sea Dragon's Wing, and was able to face her past, and alongside her friend Yang, killed Adam Taurus.
Boomstick: While she is fairly skilled, she seems to come short in a lot of areas. Like how here emotional and trust issues are so bad, that she tends to run away because of this trauma. I know she kinda got over this, but c'mon. You think she would get over her faze sooner.
Wiz: And while she does have impressive feats, she isn't exactly the strongest in the brute force category. And while here aura can help her survive fatal blows, significant damage can exhaust it, and she'll need to take cover and wait for it to replenish.
(cuts to Wiz and Boomstick)
Wiz: And, while her cat traits give her an advantage, she also gains its weakness. Like an absurd craving for fish, or an obsession of tracing red dots from a laser pointer.
(*As Wiz says this, he pushes the button on a laser pointer that creates the cat craving red dot as he explains. but to a surprise, Boomstick was actually chasing the red dot as Wiz moves it. Till it appeared on Boomstick's forehead, he punched himself in the face to try and "get it"*)
Boosmtick: Argh... damn it.... you win this time red dot... But i will have my....revenge.
(*Boomstick lowers his arm as he was finished his line before falling unconcious*)

Wiz: But at the end lf the day, Blake was able finally put the past behind her and try to persue a better future for all. And with a little help from her other teammates.
Blake: We're not going to destroy the White Fang. We're going to take it back.
X-23 slashes into DEATH BATTLE[]
Wiz: Standing at 5'1", this young mutant girl may not seem so intimidating at first glance.
Boomstick: Yeah, i mean, remove the claws and add a cloak and shes basically a human version of Raven.
Wiz: But in actuality, Laura Kinney was made as a weapon of murder. Born as a clone created from the genetics of the Weapon X Project, she was molded to be the laboratory's killing machine codenamed; X-23.
Boomstick: But the head researcher didn't like how her mentor was teaching her things like honor and kindness, so he created a seerum that just from the scent of it put her in uncontrollable berserker state, which resulted in the mentor's death. Probably cause that scientist was really pi****ed off for the fact that Weapon X killed his dad during the escape.
Wiz: But this "trigger scent" would also prove the undoing of her technically biological mother, Sarah Kinney. During an escape, the trigger scent was released and X-23's berserker state returned and killed Sarah in the process. But as she regained control, Sarah's last words were giving X-23 her name, Laura. After that, she ran away from.
Boomstick: And soon reside in good ol' Sam Francisco to meet her ol' nana and cousin. Until they died after the Facility tried to take Laura back. God, it feels like the wolverine genetics comes with a "tragic past where no on can be happy" gene.
Wiz: After from moving to yet ANOTHER home, Laura would find herself befriending Jade , The daughter of a generic crime boss. And when Laura killed a couple of thugs for harassing her friend, it gained the attention of the X-men. Due to her similarities to fellow X-Men member, Wolverine
Boomstick: Plot twist! Ok, yeah we know the story, but genetically speaking it meant that old Wolvie was actually Laura's good ol daddy. Basically like star wars, but replace the force with mutant powers.
Wiz: This eventually lead Laura to the Xavier institute, a school made for those who are "gifted" with mutant powers.
Boomstick: But this isn't just a story how became an X-men, it's also the story how she became, the next Wolverine.
Wiz: Long story short, Logan's age started to get the better of both him and his healing factor, which began to weaken. To the point, he died.... Well he's died multiple times but, you get the point.
Boomstick: She dawned the yellow suit, and the title of Wolverine. Even before she dawned the suit, she already had some weird adventures like, once had to do a job while babysitting, had a friend who turned into a vampire, Genetics. its all sorts of weird and over the top stuff.
Wiz: Inheriting her technically biological father's genes, X-23 had the strength, speed, and durability as Wolverine, as well as his keen animal like senses like super smell ,and expert tracking skills.
Boomstick; She also inherited the really OP Adamantium healing factor. This healing factor allowed her to tank giant explosions, and healed higher face after she got hit in the face with a freaking flamethrower.
Wiz; And she is also skilled in numerous hand to hand combat fighting styles, skillful in the art assassination, and.... a master of disguise.
(*Pop Up: In the old days, Laura was able to trick Captain America i believing she was an injured bystander caught in the midst of the aftermath of one of her killing sprees*)
Boomstick; But here go to is those Adamantium Claws. Unlike old man Logan, she has 2 instead of the 3 claws on her hands. And keeps a secret third claw in her feet. They're practically indestructible and can cut through almost anything, including World War and Amadeus Cho Hulk.
(*Pop Up: Wolverine's own Adamantium claws were also able to harm the Hulk in their first encounter, so it's pretty reasonable that Laura could scale to those claws*)
Wiz: But the fatal thing the lab created would also be the one that would haunt her forever. This Trigger Scent activates when Laura is exposed to a specific chemical, entering a violent savage frenzy. Losing all self-control and ignores all pain as she is consumed by her killer instinct that's still deep within her, Similar to Wolverine's own berserker mode.
(Cuts to Wiz and Boomstick)
Boomstick: And in it she also a lot tougher, i mean she slaughters an entire facility while only having one arm. And said state fought Wolverine, Jubilee and Gambit to a stalemate. Huh, should have had a drinking game every time we said Wolverine. How many we at?
(Wiz looks back on the scripts and counted the times Wolverine was said or mentioned)
Wiz: About 7.
Boomstick: Well, bottoms up!
(Boomstick proceeds to drink a few cans of beer, instead from a shot glass. But after taking teh 7th can, he got drunk and proceeded to keep drinking. Before eventually passing out)
Wiz: But tranquilizers seem to be an effective way to get her out of the berserker state. We mentioned this a thousandth time, but the berserker state can be exploited. For example, Boomstick here can get into a berserker state, after chugging way to much beer.
(As Wiz says that, and Boomstick gets up and slowly approaches Wiz with a rabid look on his face readying to strike.)
Wiz; But it also leaves a pressure point on his nose. Hitting the pressure point with any kind of force, would knock him out cold. And wake up about 5 seconds.
(Wiz proceeds to pull out an extending boxing glove and hits Boomstick across the face, and falling like a sac of potatoes. Adn shortly wakes up, but beer cans were floating around his head)
Boomstick: Ugh. no, Mama Boomstick. No seconds....
(Thud)
(Back to the analysis)
Boomstick; Laura's been crushed by giant woman, survived an exploding predator drone, and multiple grenades hitting her in the face.
Wiz: She's strong enough to smash armor glass, topple over the rock mutant Rock slide, and as a kid was fast enough to kill a man before a camera flash went off. Cameras can catch moving objects 1/500th of a second shutter speed which is adequate to "stop" things in motion to get a clean picture. To pull this off, Laura had to have moved over 2800 mph. Over Mach 36.
Boomstick: But Wiz, i gotta adress the elephant in the room.
(Cuts to Wiz and Boomstick with a literal baby elephant in the room)
Boomstick: If Laura's healing factor is so great, how is it that decapitations seem to be the way to overtax her?
Wiz: That's certainly an unjustifiable question. Despite her taking durable hits that are certainly worst than decapitation, and is arguably better than Wolverine's, Laura's healing factor can somehow be over taxed by what my colleague just said . It is likely due to her lack of Adamantium in her body. With the only Adamantium there being her own claws. But we are gonna be ignoring this weakness due to the fact it is likely due to writing inconsistency.
(Cuts back to the analysis)
Boomstick: Though it ain't the only problem she has. Laura is known for being a bit head strong and stubborn. While she is pretty clever and thinks of strategies on the fly, but 9% of her strategy consists of "Attack first, don't think". But doesn't matter what time of is, she is the second best at what she does, and you can bet she can sure as hell prove it to ya.

X-23: Consider me a trash compactor...
Pre-Fight[]
Wiz: Alright, the combatants are set. And we've run the data through all possibilities.
Boomstick: IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTTLLLLLLLEEEEE!!!!
Fight[]
(*Cues: Widow's kiss- Therewolf Media*)
In a secret military facility that has data of mutant testing. A helicopter dropped down, with troops carrying supplies of the formula. Over the hills, Laura Kinney or X-23 observed as she leaned ageist a tree. And proceeds to activate her communicator.
X-23- Yeah, it's Laura. I found the base... No sign of Sinister. Are you sure this was the right location? ... Understood..
And thus, Laura ran down the hills and infiltrated the base sneakily. Avoiding guards, cameras and laser traps simultaneously. In a corridor, Laura caught a familiar scent as sue sniffed the air
X-23- Sinister...
As the cloned mutant busted down the door, she saw trails of blood, mutilated bodies, and stolen samples of mutant.
Sinister- Glad for you to come by, Mrs. Kinney. You came at the right time... to fall for my trap.
Sinister using his magic, teleported out of the facility with a sinister laugh that echoed throughout the room.
X-23- Trap? The hell does he-?
Guard- Freeze!
Guards appeared behind Laura, aiming their firearms directly at her. Realizing their point of view, Laura looked at the bodies and looked back in an honest expression
X-23 It wasn't me, I swear!
Guard- Like hell, you aren't. Even if you didn't, your still under arrest for breaking and entering. Now, come quietly, or we'll have to use force.
The guards aiming their guns at her, Laura looked back to find a power box, and it gave her an idea. She popped out the claws from her wrist and sliced the power box, making the room pitch black.
Guard- OPEN FIRE!
As gun shots were made, the power generator kicked in and Laura was no where to be seen. The Only trace was an open ventilation.
Guard- We got ourselves a runner.
(Fade in and out)
(*Cues: City At Night-Proffessor Layton*)
Back in the city...
X-23- Damn...
Laura proceed stop activate her communicator.
X-23- Laura here, Sinister got away with the serum, and now i'm on the run.... Understood...Don't worry, i'll be careful. After all, I'm the second best at what i do.
As Laura sneakily hides within the crowd, what she didnt know she was being watched upon the rooftops. A cat faunus was watching as on the rooftop a tv was playing the news.
TV Brodcaster- Authorities say that this faunus broke into a government base, murdered multiple guards and stolen government property. Officers has said she is very deadly and will kill upon sight. If you come in contact, do not approach. Contact local officers to apprehand the subject.
Blake- Not like the government was ever able to handle criminals in the first place.
Blake leaps upon from rooftop to rooftop, tracking down Laura. As she was doing it, The cloned mutant found herself surrounded by a bunch of members of the Purifiers.
X-23- Purifiers...
Laura's claws popped out of their fists once again as she gets into a fighting stance.
X-23- Today's just been not my day... Though atleast I'll be able to blow off some steam.
With Laura brawling the purifiers, sparring their lives, Blake drops down from a building. Gambl4 Shroud in hand.
Blake- Stop!
(*Cues: [Metal Gear- A Stranger I Remain- Clichè i know] *)
Blake- So. your the one that broke in and killed all those people?
X-23- No, it wasn't me! It was Mr. Sinister! He broke in the lab, took everything, and left me as bait for him to get away.
Blake- And those people you brutally beaten?
X-23- Purifiers. Anti-Mutant group..
Blake- Then maybe...
Blake stops to think...
Blake- No... I can't risk it. I can't risk letting a serial killer loose.
X-23- Well kid.. looks like im gonna have to incapacitate you... No hard feelings.
Laura pops the other claws from her wrist and feet and lunge at The cat faunus. Blake blocked the cloned mutants stinger attack and returned the favor by knocking her into the air and throwing gambel shroud int her torso. Using the bow on the blade, Blake twirled Luara in the air before throwing her at teh side of the building. To her surprise, she noticed how the wound left on laura's stomach healed at a rapid pace.
X-23: Okay....
Laura recovering takes the opportunity to deliver some devastating hits,and stabs Blake in the stomach in the exact same way.
X-23: That's gonna feel sore in the morning.
Using her claws, Laura dragged the cat faunus up against the building, climbing to the top before throwing Blake into a large neon sign. Blake jumped off and switched Gambol shroud into it's gun form. Laura saw that it's model was similar to a glock 19, and manage to react before the bullets were even fired. and slashed at Blake, only to hit an ice clone, that had her arm stuck into it. Blake then sheathed her blade, and fired a large sword beam that hit Laura head on. the forced caused the legs of the neon to give way and began to fall. With the cat faunus persuing her enemy.
The cloned mutant had to think fast, before getting crushed. So she sliced the neon sign in half, used each as a miniature platforms and entered a blade clash with the cat faunus. the clash ended with no winner as the two ladies stabbed their blades on the building the fight was taking place on. Blake leaped back on the building and saw Laura climbing the building by repeatedly stabbing it. Blake reacted by back flipping and created a stone clone that was disintegrated by Laura's uppercut slash.
Again using her sword, Blake blocked an oncoming buzz saw attack from Laura before two clash clash at blinding speed with both lady's not landing a hit on the other. Before Blake landed a hit by using her flame clone to knock Laura back. But the reflexes of the cloned mutant helped her grab onto a cable poll and swing around it and delivering a flying kick to the cat faunus, sending both flying into another area.
With the two recovering, Blake proceeded to hide in the shadows, while Laura had her wounds healed from the fire clone. The Mutant Clone lost sight of her opponent, but was able to keep track of her opponent thanks to her super scent.
X-23: Y'know, an old man I know once said...
Laura dodged Blake's kusarigama, grabbed it by the bow and pulled her back in and delivered a backhand punch.
X-23: Hard to hdie when nose always knows.
Blake did a dance like spin kick and knocked Laura off her feet and launched her into the air and proceeds to slash her multiple times, and jumped down and sheathed her blade. the last of which left slashed Laura again before falling. Bleeding from her slowly healing wounds, Laura proceeds to a berserker like combo before slashing two more times, leaving a slash trail x mark on Blake as she falls. Blake gets up but her Aura was broken, taking the time of her foe who was slowly showing fatigue, Blake fled to recover her Aura and heal. Once Laura was fully healed, she followed her opponent out of fear she may give out her whereabouts and also plot convenience.
(*Music ends*)
It cuts now to a sea docks with Laura looking for her opponent.
X-23: Ok, kitty.... (*sniffs air*) Where are you hiding..?
She picked up her scent and locating which building she was at, doing it she entered the building. Blake was in a seperate dark room, with her Aura now fully healed. But do to it being pitchblack made it hard to see, but do to her cat senses, she could see just fine. she raised her blade hearing the sound of another door opening,and her ears perking up. Laura snifffed the air again to know her opponent is closed. the two slowly walked backward cautiously, before both ended up bumping into each other's backs.
(*Cues: Titans of Magic- Brandon Yates*)
Knowing who they were, the black haired ladies swung their attacks in the midst of the darkness.Only the trails of each clashed with every so spark lighting up the room slighlty. they clashed 3 times in sink with the drum in the song, before the guitar solo kicked i and the final clash was so mighty, it created a sonic boom that caused the windows to completely shatter. bringing light into the room, Blake comboed Blake with a combo switching betweeen blade and kusarigama form before throwing her Kusarigama again. The mutant clone knocked it aside, with the weapon getting lodged in a pillar supporting the weight of the building. With the defences down, Laura did a leaping punch and comboed with a combination of punches, slashes and kicks, ending with an upward kick in similar fashion to Guile's flash kick. But the cat faunus regained her balance and dropkick Laura into the very same pillar Gambol Shroud was stuck in, which caused it to crack.
Blake: I got you!
The cat faunus pulls out her weapon, causing the pillar to collapse and the building shook with some rubble falling. Laura caught the piece, albeit barely and swung it at Blake. The Cat faunus was smashed against the wall.
X-23: Word of advice, never project your attacks.
And Laura attacked with a diving kick, but Blake dodged by using her shadow clone, and mist of it got in Laura's eyes. But as soon as Blake tried to get up, she can feel the pain from her injuries even with her aura up. Blake used her sheath and blade and slashed Laura multiple times before stabbing her in the belly. But the cloned mutant grabbed the blade, and grinned at her opponent.
Blake: Huh!?
X-23: Should a gone for the head.
Laura pulled out the blade and palm striked Blake across the room, and yet again her aura was broken. Seeing her opponent run at her, the cat faunus tried to block the incoming claws, which she did but doing so slashed her left cheek while doing so.
Suddenly, the background turned black as Blake's blood drops hit the floor. with effects, had a red colored odor eminating from it. The Mutant cloned picked up the smell and began coughing repeatedly while reeling back, covering her mouth with her hand. Blake was a bit confused but kicked her far across the room.
Blake: I cant do this by myself. I'll have to call the others and see if they can provide backup.
Blake proceeds to take out her scroll, and call the her teammates. But as the borders darken as the camera panned to Laura, her head suddenly jolted up , as a rush of energy flown through her body, with her eyes glowing a bloodshot red as she gets up. She screams out loudly causing Blake to stop dialing, and Laura slices the scroll in half. Thus the mutant clone began to swing wildly, missing multiple times. Blake foolishingly charged in despite her aura, and the now berserker clone leaped high and sliced Blake's arm off, dropping Gambol shroud to the ground. Seeing her arm chopped off, Blake clutched it in writhing pain as she stepped back slowly before tripping. The Berserker Laura swung her right claw down, vertically splitting Blake's now deceased body into 3 bloody parts.
But she wasn't done, still in the triggered state, Laura than began slashing at a rapid pace, that all that was left of her opponents body, was a giant blood puddle. Victorious, Laura let out a blood curdling cry of victory. However, exiting the Triggered state caused Laura to fall over unconscious. With her and the background blurring out, it focused on Blake's black ribbon in the midst of the bloodshed
K.O!
Laura could be seen in helicopter, wrapped in a blanket and towel, presumably being picked up by Wolverine. Where Blake's death became the midst of a crime scene, with police putting yellow tape in-front of the entrance way.

Boomstick: Now that's what i call a cat fight!
Wiz: Blake certainly held many advantages against Laura. Her wider arsenal and semblance gave her ways of getting around Laura, and her more levelheaded nature could allow her to make less mistakes than Laura's more agressive take on fighting. And without scaling, seemingly could match Laura in strength. Buuuut that's where the advantages for her end there.
Boomstick: Compaired to Scaling to Sun's lightning feat to Laura's camera flash, Laura was over 3.27x faster than Blake and anyone she's ever fought.
(*Pop-Up: While her mist clone could give Laura some trouble, A lot of her other clones can be countered by Laura's overall strength (stone and ice clones could be shattered) or her healing could tank whatever they dish out (fire clone explosions are not the first mini explosion Laura dealt with)*)
Wiz: With her super senses thanks to being Wolverine's clone gave her counters to Blake's animal instincts. And while she is pround to charge in head first, Laura has had a history of coming up with strategy's mid fight. Figuring out what to do and what to counter her opponent with. In a sense, her own stubborn style sort of helps her make better strategies in comparison.
Boomstick: She was also a helluva a lot tougher, i mean she may have tanked a fall from a plane, and building busting explosions, but scaling to Wolverine; who survived the Hiroshima bombing, could withstand a blast of over 15 kilotons of tnt. That's way stronger than Blake surviving that train crash.
(*Pop Up: Also with scaling, Laura could match Wolverine's 2 ton strength, which would put her an edge over Blake, who has never had any strength feats of such and doesn't specialize in such types of feats*)
Boomstick: But the question buries down to this... Which was a better way of protection , Laura's healing factor or Blake's aura?
Wiz: To determine this it boiled down to their own pain tolerance, which is seperate to their durability. While Blake's aura allowed her to survive inhuman things, it is shown she can still be injured even with her Aura protecting her, such as when Adam stabbed her. Laura's healing has shown it could withstand things Blake's aura protected her from and even more fatal.
(*Pop Up: In many other cases, it could be argued that Blake's aura can be more easily exhausted*)
Boomstick: Besides, Laura is way more use to the line of combat thanks to the training the laboratory put her through. The White Fang was super peaceful before their corruption, so it wasn't likely that Blake was taking names when she was doing all that protesting. And weather or not Blake had the experience advantage didn't matter when Laura fought against foes more experienced than Blake.
(*Pop Up: While Blake could come up with strategies to get around Laura's trigger mode, she couldn't exactly put her down, as last time required 3 mutants (one of which was Wolverine) way above Blake's league.*)
Wiz: Blake certainly held advantages that could guarantee the win, but Laura's speed, durability, endurance and training was what gave her the win.
Boomstick: Laura took the Gambol, and Blake's victory was "shroud"-ed in the dark.
Wiz: The winner is X-23

The name of the fight track is feral fury. the name pointing out there animal like appearences. The art is Blake's emblem all scratched and battered with Laura's claws forming an X, while tearing through the background like paper, with Blake's Gamble Shroud in the middle of the X.

- The connection between Blake and X-23 are they're both mysterious raven haired teenagers with animal like traits and have rather dark pasts (great explanation....NOT!). Both were originally apart of an evil organizations before leaving eventually joining a school involving kids with special abilities (Beacon Academy and the Xavier Institute). Furthermore (depending what x-men story) Both are also apart of a race that has been considered outcasts in society (Mutants and Faunus)
- Furthermore, both have fought against the organizations they once workd with (The lab and the White Fang respectively) while also playing an important role in their respective teams (Team RWBY and the X-men) While both also fought against organizations of their own races (White Fang again and The Brotherhood) led by tyrannical overlords (Adam & Magneto respectively) yet despite their clearly good intentions, they fought against them due to ideologies of subjugating the human race

- There are a few references in this fight. In Blake's analysis, Boomstick mentioned she'd probably be into the Ichi Ichi books, which are novels made by Jiraiya from Naruto, and in the fight itself, Laura says : An old man i know once said.... the nose knows." which is a call back to one of her genetic father's lines in his official Death Battle : Wolverine vs. Raiden. And as Blake searched for her opponent, she refered to her opponent as Black Cat, referencing the Black Cat of Marvel.
