Ultimecia vs. Homura Akemi is the 35th episode of DEATH BATTLE! by Shadow7615 in collaboration with LuckyEmile, featuring Ultimecia from the Final Fantasy series and Homura Akemi from the Puella Magi Madoka Magica series in a battle between time manipulating visionaries.
Interlude[]
Wiz: Time, one of the most powerful tools anyone can utilize, it serves its wielders well, and today we're taking two very powerful Chronokinetics and pitting them against each other.
Boomstick: Death Battle has seen Time Manipulators before, but never quite like these two!
Wiz: Ultimecia, Final Fantasy's malevolent Time Witch.
Boomstick: And Homura Akemi, Madoka Magica's Time-travelling Magical Girl, He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win... a Death Battle.
Ultimecia[]
Wiz: In the future, there exists a Sorceress, Ultimecia. Likely to be the ruler of the world, but Ultimecia was troubled by a terrible prospect, that she is destined to be defeated at the hands of the “Legendary SeeD”.
Boomstick: Seeing this as a legitimate threat, Ultimecia decided she was going to escape her destined defeat by bringing about Time Compression, which would let her become a “living god” and escape her fate.
Wiz: But to do so, Ultimecia used the Junction Machine Ellone, a device capable of sending her consciousness back in time, and with it, she’d be able to possess sorceresses of the past and use them to orchestrate history so that she could use Time Compression.
Boomstick: See, long ago this one sorceress named the Great Hyne, created the sorceress power, and made it so that a Sorceress wouldn't die until they would pass their power into a worthy successor, and it seems like Ultimecia is the latest sorceress in history, and Ultimecia made it her goal to possess the other sorceresses who held that power too.
Wiz: Acquiring powers through her predecessors and adding them to her skillset, Ultimecia has gained a large number of spells, she can also teleport, phase through solid matter, create bullet-deflecting barriers, telekinesis, and cast fascination spells.
Boomstick: She’s also got access to weapons, such as Swords, Axes, Arrows, Blades, and Lances, she can use these as projectiles, and even launch multiples of them at any time, using her sorceress powers to make them show up out of nowhere.
Wiz: But being a sorceress, Ultimecia isn’t relying on a Knight’s weapon, she has access to very potent spells, Shockwave Pulsar, Great Attractor, Hell’s Judgment, just to name a few, although she does have a trump card in the form of Apocalypse, a spell that even surpasses Ultima.
Boomstick: A lot of those with the sorceress power have something unique to them, and for Ultimecia, it’s the ability to manipulate Time, with it she can stop time for an unknown amount, she can also compress time around people, freezing them in place for any attacks she has in mind.
Wiz: Ultimecia is also capable of possessing people of interest, through the mind or body, internally or externally, however, she was only able to do this through time thanks to her Junction Machine, but in combat, it’s quite likely she can do the same.
Boomstick: Another power of hers is giving life to inanimate objects and subconscious thoughts! Such as the time when Squall came to her future, and Ultimecia reached into his mind and gave life to what Squall considered the most powerful being, the Griever.
Wiz: Griever truly ended up being the most powerful Guardian Force as Squall envisioned, and Ultimecia used this to her advantage, junctioning with it, and using it against Squall and his friends, but once Griever was defeated, Ultimecia then accessed her wicked final form.
Boomstick: Straight out of someone’s Nightmare Fuel, Time Compression Ultimecia is so powerful, that she can absorb Time, Space and existence into her being, it is this power that Ultimecia strives to achieve.
Wiz: Ultimecia is not without other feats, due to possessing as many sorceresses as she could, she boasts a large repository of magical spells, resulting in many, many years of magical experience, whilst also subtly influencing the world’s history, to give her power.
Boomstick: Yeah, she’s even infiltrated governments and been elected to respected positions thanks to her skills in subterfuge and manipulation, and she’s even such a threat across time that ultimately Squall and his party came to the future to fight Ultimecia.
Wiz: But she’s far from flawless, Ultimecia is considerably arrogant and despite having time manipulation, of all things, it is the future which lies beyond her sight, and to top it off, she also ended up creating a time loop where she will always be defeated by Squall.
Boomstick: But still, if that’s what it took to bring her down, she’s one tough bitch, and one I’m not gonna go pick a fight with, could you imagine if she made my thoughts into real beings, I’d be spooked.
Ultimecia: This is reality. No one can help you. Sit back and enjoy the show.
Homura[]
Wiz: School life is never easy, but if you’re Homura Akemi, you’re timid, shy and lacking in confidence, but her life would forever be changed when she was saved from Witches by Magical Girls.
Boomstick: Since everyone in this universe hates Witches, the Magical Girls made it their goal to ensure all Witches are destroyed, and only they can do so, and after seeing her best friend Madoka destroy a witch at the cost of her own life, Homura decided to become a Magical Girl.
Wiz: And by the specifics of her wish, Homura gained the ability to control time and used it to go back in time to prevent her friend’s fate, but unfortunately for Homura, this would happen to Madoka many many times, and each time Homura would go back in time to stop it.
Boomstick: And she just kept reliving this over and over and over and over again, which slowly turned her from that timid shy girl into a very cold and calculated one, but that process also turned her into a skilled and powerful Magical Girl.
Wiz: All Magical Girls have a Soul Gem, and Homura does as well, it’s a means of ensuring a Magical Girl’s soul is protected due to the nature of fighting witches, and Homura is especially well trained in fighting witches.
Boomstick: Homura must be the daughter I’ve never had because she’s trained in the use of many, many firearms, as demonstrated by the pistols, light machine guns, shotguns, rocket launchers, and boxes of ammunition she keeps in her shield, I know I’d let my daughter have one of those.
Wiz: Homura’s Shield isn’t just a means to store her many weapons, it’s also how she manipulates time as a Magical Girl, being able to use the ability as liberally as she likes, she can stop time for an unknown amount, and of course, she can go back in time to before she met Madoka.
Boomstick: And with all this power and weaponry, Homura kept fighting and trying to ensure Madoka wouldn’t befall her terrible fate, but when things reached their absolute worst, Madoka used her wish to permanently change the magical girl system, and Homura ended up being saved as well.
Wiz: Though she faced many hardships along the way, she accomplished many feats, such as surviving almost 100 loops of the same month, and even became the only being from the original universe to retain her memories in Madoka’s new universe.
Boomstick: Almost 100 loops, and since she’s lived through all of them, she’s mentally much older than she appears, plus she even got a new wish and Soul Gem in Madoka’s Universe, which she decided she’d use on gaining the ability to manipulate, alter and erase people’s memories.
Wiz: Homura has telepathy as well, using it primarily to communicate with her fellow Magical Girls, with things seemingly ideal, Homura was able to live in a universe where she’d never be forced to become a Witch… or so we thought!
Boomstick: In a bizarre turn of events, she ended up becoming a Witch, but only inside her Soul Gem, and when she was due to be saved by now Goddess Madoka, Homura was able to overpower her, and quickly rose to a higher existence.
Wiz: By dethroning Madoka, Homura effectively became a demon goddess, becoming an abstract existence, this is without question Homura’s true form, and her most powerful too, having access to abilities like Reality Warping and Power Nullification, although she still has a human form that she uses to converse with her magical girl cohorts.
Boomstick: When taking over from Madoka, Homura rewrote the universe to her design! Though despite being a demon, Homura gave her friends, including Madoka, happy lives in this new world, though if you’re not on Homura’s good side, then look out!
Homura: Don’t forget. Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember her, you are not alone.

(Cue Find Your Way (Arrangement) - Dissidia 012: Duodecim)
An expansive sea and sky that seems to reach out into infinity, blue and white-coloured the plane that had no end in sight, a young woman walks through, her feet touching the ground creating a faint ripple effect, as she continues to walk, she seemingly doesn't have a destination, but this doesn't deter her, Homura Akemi, complacent with her predicament, simply continues to walk, perhaps enjoying the peace and serenity in a place like this, no sign of life, as far as the eye could see.
As Homura kept to her current course, it wouldn't be long before the peace she enjoyed was soon interrupted, "Keeping yourself amused, I see." A woman's voice was heard overhead, Homura stopped in her tracks as she looked around in every conceivable direction, trying to identify where the voice had come from, slight anger came over her face as she couldn't remotely see anything or anyone, eventually, the silence was broken, and a dark portal appeared.
Homura noticed that the portal had spawned behind her, she quickly turned one-hundred and eighty degrees and saw the pitch-black portal dissipate, making a peculiar sound as well as what looked like feathers also dissipating as the portal's transparency faded, revealing a tall woman, dressed in a skin-tight red gown with a plunging neckline, she had two black wings extruding from her back, Homura quickly reached to her shield, and retrieved a handgun, the IMI Desert Eagle, and firmly held it in her hand.
"Are you a witch?!" Homura demanded, raising her handgun at Ultimecia. The Sorceress almost wanted to laugh but could tell this little girl was pretty heated, so perhaps answering the question may do some good, "I am a Sorceress, but you could say I am a Witch, yes." Ultimecia very simplistically stating her true nature. "What do you want? You're not like other Witches I've faced before." Homura could tell that something was not right. If this is a Witch, how can it assume this form? Is this Witch only appearing human, or have Witches become something far different now?
Ultimecia had now become curious with this young woman, and decided to further poke at this girl's position, "You seem awfully interested in Witches, I thought perhaps you might be planning something devilish, so I came to join in on the fun." Homura quickly noticed the flirtatious tone she was hearing and also momentarily locked eyes with Ultimecia, seeing her eyes were a piercing yellow, shifting Homura into slight discomfort. "You are mistaken." Homura quickly striking down any ideas Ultimecia may have had.
"I kill Witches like you, and you're no different than them!" Homura recollecting herself and establishing that sternness once again, Desert Eagle held at the ready, though she noticed Ultimecia was still completely unfazed by her threats, let alone having the gun pointed at her, Ultimecia slowly made an approaching walk to Homura, "Come, dear. Resist no more." This however proved to only provoke Homura more than she already was.
Seeing Ultimecia approach her, Homura jumped and performed a backflip, wanting to put distance between her and the Witch, spectating this maneuver, Ultimecia stopped her approach, watching Homura successfully land on the ground. "Impressive, well done." Ultimecia suddenly began acting congratulatory to Homura, upon her landing she stood back up, having ensured the distance between them was the same as before.
"Alright, that's enough!", having become fed up with her constantly irritable attitude, Homura held her firearm and retrieved a new fragment of ammunition from her shield, and loaded it into the Desert Eagle, and aimed her now fully loaded gun at Ultimecia, "Very well, if this how you want it to be, Are you sure you're ready?" Ultimecia's inquisitive persistence only spurred Homura more. "I am ready for anything!" Homura exclaimed. "Very well, let us begin." Ultimecia assumed a relaxed stance.
FIGHT!
(Cue Hopes and Dreams (Intro) & Save the World - Undertale)
Without waiting a moment, Homura pulled the trigger on her Desert Eagle, guns blazing with hope to kill the Witch early on, Ultimecia gently lifted a smile from her face as she watched the incoming gunfire, but as Homura fired her gun repeatedly, she quickly noticed her shots were not hitting her opponent, Ultimecia simply stood in place, as all of Homura's ammunition deflected and flung away, hitting the ground like harmless pebbles.
A spring in her step, Homura sprinted to her right, keeping Ultimecia in her sights the whole time, deciding her simple handgun wasn't going to be an effective weapon, she retired the Desert Eagle to her shield and pulled out a much more destructive weapon, the RPG-7, seeing that the young girl had once again pulled out another simple weapon, Ultimecia continued to watch, to see what the girl would do, Homura with her primed weapon leapt into the air and focused her aim directly on Ultimecia, and held the RPG-7 with two hands as she fired.
Ultimecia slightly looked to her left as she saw the RGP-7's warhead approaching her quickly, she smiled and closed her eyes, there was an explosion and black smoke covered the area where Ultimecia stood, Homura landed back on her two feet and gazed forward, trying to see through the haze. She slightly lowered her RPG as things begun appearing much more clearly, but to her surprise, Ultimecia is still standing and practically unaffected by the rocket-propelled grande, Ultimecia turned where she could see Homura, "I must say, you have many weapons dear, but now it's my turn." Ultimecia walked forward and held her arms outward as if she were praising to a higher power.
Homura dashed as she quickly stored away her RPG, and aiming to retrieve her handgun once again, but as Ultimecia approached, a dark purplish circle appeared in front of her, and she caught up to Homura,"On your knees.", within proximity to her foe, the dark circle unleashed three lances, all stabbings upwards, with two of them forming an "X" with the middle lance rising vertically, Homura managed to evade, whilst Ultimecia had performed a backflip when launching her lances from within the portal.
The two landed shortly thereafter, with the three lances remaining in place. Homura soon realized that what she had seen approaching her was a portal and that it would likely be where her weapons would be coming from, Ultimecia waved her arms forward and a red portal appeared in front of her, moments later arrows made of pure energy launched from the portal, dark purple but the head of the arrow is pure white, Homura watched as several of them launched out and remained steady.
Having her handgun at the ready, Homura bolted off to her right, but running did not change much, she gazed up only to see that the arrows were locked onto her, and the heads were staying directly pointed at her, Homura's eyes widened slightly, Ultimecia simply laughed at the imagery of seeing the young girl run when it was futile to do so, but chose to let this continue.
Seeing that the arrows will not avert away from her, Homura took aim at Ultimecia and fired her weapon, in response, Ultimecia commanded her arrows to strike, with swift orders, the arrows closed in on Homura, encompassing her entire view, but this didn't scare Homura, as the arrows marginally reached her, within inches, Homura, with a quick shift of her shield, froze time, halting everything.
With time frozen around her, Homura took a moment to inspect the arrows, noticing that they weren't quite like the arrows you'd find kept in a quiver, let alone fired from a bow. Reminding her of the Ebony Bow that she wielded after Madoka had saved her, but knowing this encounter was more important at present, Homura walked out of the way of the arrows, seeing that they were still locked onto where Homura was standing.
Homura looked over at Ultimecia, seeing that she too was completely subject to this Time Stop as well, this was perfect, with a completely immobilized opponent, she could make a decisive counterattack, with even more potency than these arrows, not wasting time, Homura began pulling out RPG-7s and firing the warhead at Ultimecia, with the warhead froze in time shortly after it has been fired, she repeated this process over and over, until there were warheads locked onto Ultimecia from all directions.
With the certainty in mind that this would work Homura allowed time to flow once again, as the arrows struck the ground, Ultimecia smiled but looked up only to find that a sea of projectiles was fast approaching her, with little other option, she raised her forcefield, enduring the constant bombardment, Ultimecia's mind wandered, thinking "When did the girl sneak all of these, and how did I not notice?" holding her forcefield as best she could, the sheer number of warheads that were fired struck the ground around Ultimecia, leaving her a little overwhelmed by this sudden change.
As the battlefield became clear, Homura and Ultimecia locked eyes once again, "I make Witches such as you suffer." Homura had ceased any panic or worry, and instead had only bitter words for Ultimecia, she responded in kind, "Seems you have more to offer than I expected from you, dear." the two remained still, keeping an eye on the other to see if one of them was going to make a move, the tension was beginning to rise.
Seeing that the young girl had decided to play some more, Ultimecia animated an axe almost as tall as her, and using her telekinetic powers, hurled it toward Homura, seeing how she would respond to the incoming attack, Homura was indeed quick to respond with an acrobatic jump and using the axe as a platform, gained more high ground, holding something in her hand, Homura threw it toward Ultimecia, seeing that a gun might not be effective.
The girl having worked around one of her weapons, Ultimecia shifted her attack by instead using her powers to make a portal, distinctly red and black, and Ultimecia prepared to let something exit from the portal, as she began this process, something clicked and a blinding white light overwhelmed Ultimecia's sight, Homura gave a slight smile as her plan had worked, an M84 Stun Grenade had been thrown and Ultimecia had been too focused on Homura in front of her.
Ultimecia's sight had been rendered temporarily useless, Homura continuing to take advantage of her situation, retrieved the Desert Eagle once again, and aimed directly at Ultimecia's head, and fired a single bullet, Ultimecia knowing this could turn from bad to worse, with her powers, she froze time itself. With everything around her paralyzed in place, Ultimecia finally managed to regain sight of her surrounding, and fully realized the girl had fully intended to exploit her vulnerability.
She could see the bullet aimed right at her head, with the girl still in midair suspended in animation, Ultimecia decided it was time to make a truly potent attack from her many years of amassing the Sorceress Power, knowing that her attack too would be stopped by time once she had commenced sending the attack to Homura, she raises her arms into the air, a magical orb appeared in front of Ultimecia, it's core was a pure white with purple surrounding it, forming a sphere.
Conjuring a swarm of magical orbs, Ultimecia continues to enhance her Great Attractor, some energy begins rotating around the sphere, not long after a ray of light resonates with the sphere, transforming it into an energy ball which resembles celestial objects, with the attack readied, Ultimecia threw the Great Attractor toward the time frozen Homura, as expected the Great Attractor was quickly frozen in time, only after a short distance, with the set up she had prepared, Ultimecia allowed the flow of time to resume once again.
With time ticking once again, Homura had come to recognize an attack had been cast, but with the sheer speed alone, Homura was not able to dodge it, and she couldn't stop time fast enough unless she let her shield be destroyed, in the blink an eye the Great Attractor struck Homura and sent the girl flying several meters before she landed on the ground, dropping her gun along the way, Ultimecia looked very pleased but noticed that the girl was still alive.
"You aren't weak after all, dear". Ultimecia was genuinely impressed by the apparent durability Homura had displayed in surviving the attack, "I was afraid you might have been too frail to withstand my powers, but you are strong", Homura stands back up on her feet, with no major injuries to be seen. Walking forward and picking up her gun, Homura simply stored it away in her shield, before returning her attention to Ultimecia, seeing that this witch did indeed harbour truly potent powers.
"What the hell are you?" Homura coldly inquired, her cage had been rattled and now there was no going back, in response, Ultimecia looked slightly puzzled, but knew this was a chance to manipulate things even more "Didn't I already say, I'm a Sorceress, a witch according to some", Ultimecia asserted that information, giving Homura additional clarification. "If you're a Witch, then you're the most human-looking witch I've ever seen" Homura noted.
(Cue San Kanae Rock - Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae)
"Well my dear, I am a human just like you, I can only wonder what your witches must look like". Ultimecia spoke with sincerity, this did slightly deter Homura, but she convinced herself that what she saw before her, must truly be a human, but one using the powers of a Witch. "Have I said enough?" Ultimecia implored to Homura, hoping that the young woman will respond. "You said you were a Sorceress. Is this how you command such power?". Homura wanted answers.
"You are right, and I will continue to show you just how powerful it is!", swiftly waving her arms, Ultimecia summoned a red and black portal and launches several dozen swords made of magic energy, firing them at Homura rapidly, with the portal having alerted her in the nick of time Homura quickly used her agility to evade most of the swords, however, some of them strike her and although she is momentarily limping, Homura manages to use one of the swords as a platform and proceeds to ascend into the air, gliding with a vertical ascent.
Seeing the young girl was continuing to evade her attacks, Ultimecia switched her attack from a rapid projection of magic swords to the homing purple arrows she had attempted once before, the arrows shot out from the portal, but soon stopped in place, and remained locked onto Homura. Knowing this attack and its nature of following her, Homura decided it was time for a new weapon, something that might complement the arrows being thrown at her.
Without a moment to lose, Homura retrieved her Ebony Bow and aimed it at the arrows locked onto her, holding the bow where her eye could follow the trajectory of her shot, purple energy quickly formed as both the string of the bow, as well as a much wider concentration of that energy as the arrow itself. Her eyebrows narrow slightly as she momentarily decides whether to shot Ultimecia or the arrows coming for her, without another second passing Ultimecia commanded her arrows to meet their target. Homura responded in kind by firing her arrow at one of Ultimecia's own.
Homura having now gained some additional breathing room, jumped into the air, quickly preparing another arrow, and fired it at yet another one of the incoming arrows from Ultimecia, with each successful clash of the arrows, the overpowering purple magic energy exploded, both combatants were unable to see their opponent. Homura made short work of two arrows before she hit the ground, Homura touched the ground feet first, as the bright purple explosion lingered for a short moment longer.
Unexpectedly, an arrow pierced through the explosion, Homura's eyes widened as the arrow's speed approaching her was too quick, moments before she could reach her shield to stop hope, the arrow penetrated her arm, and went out the other side, Homura cried for a moment, but quickly swallowed that pain, she held her bow with her arm free of a wound.
As the explosion cleared, Ultimecia put two and two together, Homura grit her teeth and swiftly produced another arrow and lashed it out quickly, it struck Ultimecia's shoulder, having let her guard down. She stepped back for a moment, gently putting her hand over her newly found wound. "You're quick to bite back, aren't you?" Ultimecia lowered her hand, despite her injury not healing. Homura quickly noticed the still bloodied patch on Ultimecia's gown and knew this was something to take advantage of.
"I'm far from finished, Witch" Homura sending chills as coldly as she could deliver them, by this point Ultimecia had now become a little agitated with this girl, not only was she getting lucky hits in, but she was taking her animated magic weapons fairly well, now it was time to start truly using the powers that made her Sorceress ways into the ruler she became in her future.
"There is no running from this pain." Ultimecia outstretched her arms and a circle takes from around Ultimecia, it slowly expands into a much wider circle before it begins taking on shapes and symbols, becoming a glyph, with Ultimecia in place the magical crest moved on and begun homing in on Homura, seeing this moving toward her, Homura quickly began running to avoid the circumference reaching her, but as it approaches her, it becomes apparent she won't be able to avoid it outright.
But with this circle trying to reach her, Homura gazed over at Ultimecia, who was still standing completely, it was in that moment that she hatched a plan, quickly reversing her tactic, Homura ran directly towards the circle, Ultimecia smiled, and readied the attack, Homura kneeled for a brief moment before leaping into the air, as the circle had now reached her, and lied right beneath, with the young girl now in range, Ultimecia unleashed the attack, one of her strongest spells, Apocalypse, "Regret awa-".
Time had stopped once again, Homura had successfully manipulated Ultimecia into launching her attack, luring her into letting her guard down. Homura glanced downward and saw that the attack was only just beginning to take effect, but was perpetually suspended in time. Homura decided it was time for her to replicate her strategy against one of the most dangerous Witches she ever combated, Walpurgisnacht, to which Homura deemed Ultimecia a worthy comparison.
With time now at her command, Homura retrieved every weapon she could get her hands on, she had all the time in the world, after all, some pipe bombs, her Desert Eagle she had been using earlier, which she accounted for by reloading the weapon with new ammunition, practically everything in her arsenal, from the smallest of handguns to the likes of grenades, to even the heaviest of firepower, machine guns, and anti-aircraft rockets.
All cards were on the table, although it took her some time to unleash the ammunition and rounds from the entire arsenal she eventually had all of it aimed at Ultimecia, frozen in time, and waiting for time's flow to resume. Knowing that the ensuing destruction from her weapons was going to be a bit explosive, Homura put herself far enough back, but also close enough to Ultimecia's attack. With her positioning now accounted for, Homura once again resumed time.
"-its." Ultimecia finished her words only to realize an unprecedented amount of things coming directly at her, now angered that the same thing had happened, but only on a much greater scale, Ultimecia knew putting her forcefield up would only keep her in the same place. With her magic Ultimecia stopped the flow of time, freezing all of the ammunition in place. Ultimecia soon decided it was time to deal with the girl. Personally.
Flying up to the airborne Homura, Ultimecia reached forward and firmly placed her hand on Homura's throat, Ultimecia found amusement in the girl's still-determined face, despite being on the verge of being choked to death. "Even in the face of death, your face is still so determined." Ultimecia almost laughed as she began to tighten her hold. "So, you can stop time as well?" Homura's time-frozen body suddenly begun to move, as the young girl reached to Ultimecia's arm and gripped it intensely.
Alarmed, Ultimecia resumed time as she returned to the ground, the explosions and ammunition all striking behind her as she looked up in sheer shock, "How is this possible?!" As she said this Homura landed on the ground looking sharply into Ultimecia's eyes. "For every instance, you've stopped time, I've been aware of how long you stopped, and what you did in that stopped time, you had no chance of stopping me when you decided to stop time, and now you won't stand a chance now either..."
A devilish smile came over Homura's face as she ascended into the sky, and held herself with her knees up to her chin, pitch-black energy surrounded the girl before completely enveloping her, Ultimecia looked in sheer trepidation. After a moment Homura appeared from the pitch-black energy, but her entire appearance now looked very different, now appearing in a black dress, with a heart-shaped plunging neckline, also wearing thigh-high socks that follow a diamond pattern, black flat shoes with an anklet piece attached, and full-length gloves that end with two strands.
To complete her transformation, long exuberant black wings with white accommodating them extrude from her back, Homura had completed her transformation into the Demon. Ultimecia having witnessed the full transformation, began to back away, but Devil Homura noticed this and approached her almost instantly and grabbed her by the throat, as payback for earlier, "Now that I know you're capable of something, show me!" goading Ultimecia into acting.
Ultimecia teleported in an attempt to get away from Devil Homura, but in mere moments, Devil Homura quickly caught up to and grabbed hold of Ultimecia again, "Very well, if you will not fight, then I will put you through hell and back!" Devil Homura opened a portal, and took herself and Ultimecia right through it, entirely undecided on where it would lead.
London
The portal opened by Devil Homura soon showed up in the lands of the United Kingdom, specifically London, England, it shined with a combination of streetlamps, moonlight, and headlights from cars on the roads. Down on the London streets, there were two individuals holding guns and cannons at each other, "Aww, look at the big and scary spaceman, come to abduct me! Think you're ready for this fight? I know I am~", the woman taunted towards an individual dressed in some armour.
Seeing that the situation was escalating rather quickly, Ultimecia froze time once again, but this time it had no effect, Devil Homura grabbed her and threw her into one of the buildings nearby, the woman, managing to be aware of events in frozen time, quickly noticed that Devil Homura and Ultimecia were fighting, and since the individual in the armour was affected by the stopped time, she jumped and landed on one of the roofs of a nearby building, this woman was none other than the Umbra Witch, Bayonetta.
Bayonetta observed the two fighting each other, seeing that they both sported wings, and as she had deduced, was capable of stopping time, Bayonetta decided to observe the situation, seeing if the two would present a more interesting situation. Ultimecia launched a valley of magically animated swords toward Devil Homura, but she simply ignored them rending them useless, seeing this herself, Bayonetta was impressed and decided she was going to jump into the fray, but anticipating this, Devil Homura opened up a portal and used a magic blast to knock Ultimecia into the portal, Ultimecia stopping time as she was exiting this world.
Devil Homura quickly followed her into the portal as Bayonetta soon remembered she had the fellow in the spacesuit to deal with, deciding she would pursue that now.
Tiger Lair
(Cue Go Go Power Rangers (Instrumental) - Mighty Morphin Power Rangers)
A temple that looked void of life, except for two individuals, one dressed in a purely white, gold and black costume, and the other wearing a mask with a blade on his back, the warrior monk Jago was in a battle with the likes of the White Ranger, Jago had successfully landed a series of uppercuts, sending the Power Ranger higher into the sky as he screamed, in due time thanks to gravity, the White Ranger landed back on the ground, and wiped his sleeves before assuming one of his many stances, "Alright, Saba attack!" the Ranger commanded, as his sword flew out of his hands and fired a laser beam towards Jago.
A portal appeared between Jago and the White Ranger, as Ultimecia, still experiencing the launch of Devil Homura's blast, crashed into a pillar nearby, the two warriors, understandably stopped their fight, seeing a woman had just appeared from nowhere and was slowly starting to stand back up, the White Ranger saw this as an opportunity to get her away from this battle, but before the Ranger had a chance to even speak up, Devil Homura emerged from the portal, wherein moments she grabbed Ultimecia by the throat and tossed her to the right, seeing the woman's body being tossed his way, Jago ducked and evaded.
Devil Homura appeared where Ultimecia's body was intended to go, and hit her once again, and before long, opened another portal, of which Ultimecia naturally fell into, Devil Homura soon followed through herself, Jago and the White Ranger looked oddly puzzled, and both concluded it must've been the work of Gargos and Lord Zedd respectively, both vowing to defeat their enemies, the two combatants soon resumed their fight.
Townsville
The City of Townsville is a very quiet city that despite getting attacked by monsters, is saved by the Powerpuff Girls! But this city was presently in danger, it had come under attack from a giant kaiju, the most famous of them all, Godzilla! The Powerpuff Girls quickly dashed into action as Godzilla began rampaging throughout the city.
Devil Homura and Ultimecia arrived in Townsville, both of which are stopped by the booming presence of Godzilla in this world, the two then resume combating each other, Ultimecia quickly forms Great Attractor once again and throws the energy sphere directly towards Devil Homura, who effortlessly dodges it, and it continues travelling until it knocks Godzilla, shaking the kaiju about, Ultimecia then raced forward and tried to grab Devil Homura, only for her to counter with a magic blast that sends her hurtling towards a skyscraper.
The Powerpuff Girls have seen an opening thanks to the unknowing Ultimecia, landing a joined forces attack, which successfully hits Godzilla and makes him tumble to one side, causing the top half of a building to tip over and fall, after having recovered, Ultimecia looked up only to see the falling section of the building was coming right down on top of her, seeing that stopping time would be meaningless against Devil Homura, Ultimecia raised her forcefield, as the building fell on her, thanks to its protection Ultimecia remain unscathed. But Devil Homura used this moment to approach her with shocking speed.
Devil Homura held Ultimecia by the throat as the two travelled into yet another portal spawned by Devil Homura, the Powerpuff Girls continued to battle against Godzilla.
The Bridge of Zenan
(Cue Attack (Arrangement) - Super Smash Bros. Brawl)
All seemed normal here, however, a woman dressed in blue carrying a sword was in a state of uncertainty, "This... this isn't my time. I've never seen this before..." Lucina pondered. "Naga where am I?", she had managed to wind up in a different time from what she was expecting, suddenly a portal appeared, and a man also carrying a sword leapt out, Crono, who very quickly locked blades with Lucina, both tugging and forcing their blades to near the other's throat, but before their clash continued, yet another portal appeared.
The two fighters stopped, only to then witness Devil Homura and Ultimecia leaping out of their portal, the sword wielders raise their blades, but the Ultimecia and Devil Homura continue to fight each other, Ultimecia quickly conjured more magic, "There is no running from this pain!" Ultimecia formed the glyph of Apocalypse and launched it toward Devil Homura, completely enveloping her.
Lucina and Crono looked at the raw power of the two combatants, thinking one had just vanquished the other, but to quell any ideas quickly, Devil Homura stood exactly where she was before she was struck, Ultimecia backed up in dread, seeing the attack practically did nothing.
"I know this is not the fullest extent of your power, now show it to me!" Devil Homura continued to demand from Ultimecia, but she would not listen to the demands of such a person, and she lashed out using a magically animated axe, swung at Devil Homura, but Homura halted the attack, causing Ultimecia to charge at her, Devil Homura opened a portal behind her, as Ultimecia flew straight into it, of which her opponent followed through.
Lucina and Crono took all this in with considerable worry, had the time-hopping caused unexplained phenomenons like that to start happening, neither could be certain.
Netherworld
(Cue Rocks n' Rocks - Soul Nomad)
Standing atop a floating stone in a very hellish looking location stood Overlord Laharl, who had sudden questions he needed to ask himself "I know this Netherworld... but how the hell did I get here, wasn't I about to blow up the rest of the moon earlier?!" Laharl wondered, but a zooming light caught hold of his attention. "Oh, it's you again." Laharl had come to recognize whom he was locked in combat with, the Demi-Fiend, whose only sign of dialogue was a grin.
Devil Homura and Ultimecia arrived in this world, this naturally drew the attention of Laharl and The Demi-Fiend, Ultimecia accelerated her magic output, firing dozens upon dozens of energy swords she animated, but Devil Homura swiftly evaded them, and quickly closed the distance with her speed. With both Laharl and the Demi-Fiend having ceased their fight to see what was going on, Laharl chimed in "Well, this is about right, I end up not knowing where I went to get here, and now it seems the very fabric of space is something to be concerned about".
The Demi-Fiend remained calm and looked at the two and decided to observe instead of brazenly attacking them, Ultimecia animated a lance and shoved it through Devil Homura's chest, impaling her. For a second Ultimecia felt relief, Laharl and The Demi Fiend saw it too, but Devil Homura simply waved her hand and the lance ceased to exist, Ultimecia looked in panic, seeing the weapon just vanished, Laharl and The Demi Fiend both too look a little surprised.
Devil Homura launched a magic blast directly at Ultimecia's head, firing it and launching her into yet another portal, which Devil Homura leapt through as well, Laharl and The Demi-Fiend, but still a little perplexed, turned back to each other, a bit lacking for words.
Imperial Capital City - Throne Room
(Cue Controlling the Iron Beast - Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII)
A regal and refined area, but was also the battlefield of two sword wielders of finesse, on one side stood the towering and imposing SOLDIER, Sephiroth, who held his Masamune in a combat stance, opposing him was a tall woman of an esteemed appearance, who held her Rapier toward her opponent, keeping a consistent smile on her face, this was none other than Esdeath, the Empire's General. "Show me your strength," Sephiroth uttered, outstretching his right arm. "With pleasure..." Esdeath responded in kind.
Just as their blades were about to cross, the portal opened and Ultimecia's body came through and crashed directly into the very throne itself, though it was very hard to call it in one piece, it already was split in two. Esdeath averted her attention, whilst Sephiroth turned around, unexpectedly he felt like he had seen this woman before, she seemed familiar, but before Sephiroth could implore, or Esdeath speak up, Devil Homura followed through the portal, where she sent yet another magic attack ahead of her.
To her saving grace, Ultimecia managed to luck out by raising her forcefield in time, deflecting the attack, but instead it sent the attack toward Esdeath and Sephiroth. The two managed to evade the attack, distancing themselves from all other parties involved. Esdeath was slightly bitter, a fight with an opponent whose strength she wanted to see for herself, interrupted by these intruders.
Placing her hands together, emitting a shining light, she then opens her arms and a legion of icicles are formed from thin air, this was of course Weissschnabel. And with a simple hand gesture she fired the icicles toward both Devil Homura and Ultimecia, the latter raises yet another forcefield but the former remains unfazed and instead creates another portal and flies into it. Ultimecia freezes time, halting Weissschnabel.
Refusing to let her opponent getaway, Ultimecia follows through the portal as time resumes, Weissschnabel ends up being mostly ineffective, but does successfully garner Sephiroth's attention, who raises his Masamune back to Esdeath, regaining her smile, Esdeath quickly closed the distance between them and swung her rapier.
Metropolis
The famed city was home to one of its most revered protectors, the Kryptonian turned Earth Savior, Superman. He was patrolling Metropolis when he saw something moving at a particularly high speed, anticipating where the blur was going to go, Superman landed right in front of it. "Now that I've stopped you, it's time we talked about how fast you're going, it's barely at Metropolis's speed limits." He had halted perhaps the fastest being in the universe, Sonic the Hedgehog.
"I'd be glad to stay and chat, but my friends and in danger!" Sonic's usually worry-free ways had been replaced with true concern, "You're not going anywhere if I recall, you're the one who killed-" before Superman could finish, he heard an unusual sound on the other side of Metropolis, it worried him so much he left Sonic be, who simply carried on running.
Superman flew to the portal and saw Devil Homura's entrance, Superman was a little uncertain, but he still knew he needed to step in "Uh Hello, I couldn't help but notice the presence of this portal, and I've come to make sure there isn't any trouble", as Superman's concern was quickly realized, as a wave of magically animated swords followed through the portal, striking Devil Homura, Superman quickly stepped back, as he could detect the presence of magic.
Ultimecia stepped through as she saw her attacks connect successfully, "Alright, what's going on?", Superman demanded an answer. "Oh worry not, this is between her and me." Ultimecia responding to the Kryptonian. "I'm afraid you've set foot in my home, and I won't let you be a threat to innocents." Superman pulled back his fist as he readied a punch for Ultimecia, Devil Homura with a raised hand launched a magic attack at Superman, which knocked the Man of Steel to the ground. "That was... Magic." Superman slowly climbed back to his feet, Devil Homura decided she wanted to leave, opening a portal, but this time Ultimecia latched onto her as the two travelled into the portal, closing it behind them.
Lonely Mountain
Inside a dimly light cave, resided a considerable treasure. However, that grand prize was safeguarded by the likes of Smaug, a fierce dragon with it's intent on destroying anyone who dares wake him, though unexpectedly Smaug was not the only dragon present, additionally, there was Saphira who had been locked into fighting Smaug.
"A dragon-rider?" Smaug seemed intrigued by the idea, but before he could continue, Devil Homura and Ultimecia both crashed into Smaug's vast treasure hoard, this alerted the Dragon who gazed down. "You humans picked a very dangerous place to fight". Smaug remarked as both looked up at Smaug, to see the Dragon locking eyes with them, "Still, You dare to come here? To come into my lair to steal my treasure?!".
Smaug prepared to unleash flames upon them, but Saphira took advantage of Smaug's distraction and used it to attack him, having completely forgotten Saphira was present. Devil Homura created yet another portal, and whilst the dragons clashed, Ultimecia went in first, Devil Homura went in thereafter.
Downtown City
In the dusk of night, things seemed quiet, that is except for a single wooden bridge, where a muscular man stood opposite humanoid composed of clay, the two were exchanging punches. Clay and Sand both trading hands, this was none other than a clash between Clayface and Sandman.
Ultimecia appeared not far from where the two were fighting, she glided into the air and landed on the roof of a nearby building, but Devil Homura was already on the rooftop, causing Ultimecia to back up in reaction. She desperately retaliated by throwing three small axes at Devil Homura, the three of them arcing in different directions, but all conversing where they would strike Devil Homura.
Simply evading them, Devil Homura paid them no attention, the axes cut off a piece of the rooftop and sending it careening down to earth, hitting the ground close to Sandman, with the sudden noise averted his attention as Clayface too looked up, Devil Homura created another portal and walked through it, Sandman and Clayface both ascended the building to reach the top, seeing the two approaching men, Ultimecia moved into the portal, and it closed behind her.
Castle Schrade Outskirts
(Cue G-Rank Crimson Fatalis - Monster Hunter: Frontier G)
Just outside the abandoned castle that looks like it was built long ago, blood-red skies filled the atmosphere, also with dark hues, and swirls of purple clouds. A dragon was flying overhead, anger in his eyes. Who ended up being the infamous Smaug, and said Dragon had flown into the territory of Fatalis, the Legendary Black Dragon.
"YOU. WILL. PERISH!" Smaug uttered as the mighty beast lunged at its opponent. Fatalis made a counterattack, but the attack missed, only for Smaug to boast further "Hah. Foolish mis-", a meteorite had struck Smaug causing the fierce creature to step back. "How did I fall for that?"
Devil Homura arrived, her presence quickly garnering the attention of Fatalis, "Hunters..." Fatalis licked his chops, only for the distraction to be exploited by Smaug, who used the opportunity to launch a stream of fire at Fatalis. Ultimecia arrived as well, only this time Fatalis was too preoccupied to worry about the Hunters down below.
The two Dragons continued to clash, as Devil Homura created yet another portal, and raised her left hand, hitting Ultimecia with yet another blast of magic. Devil Homura chased her into the portal.
Fighting Arena
(Cue Drift - Groove Worx)
The Annual Virtual Deathlok fighting tournament was home to a great many combatants and the arena was filled with seats. The announcer was booming all the big details to the spectators, "And without further ado, let the third fight begin! King Kazma vs. Kirito!". With both combatants having been matched up to fight each other, the two combatants exchange attacks.
Not far from where the two were fighting, the portal opened and the magic blast knocked Ultimecia outside of the ring, Devil Homura swiftly appeared too, standing in mid-air with her wings spread. "What's this ladies and gentlemen, I've never seen anything like this! Two mystery combatants have suddenly appeared in the ring!" Devil Homura blitzed toward Ultimecia and threw yet another blast of magic energy, this time however it was shaped in the form of a lance, eerily looking similar to Ultimecia's animated weapons.
Kazma and Kirito both just halted their fight, not having expected any of this. The guards that had put Kirito into the ring moved over to where the new guests were battling, Ultimecia cast some more magic, stopping time once again.
With everyone now frozen, except for her and Devil Homura, the two resumed fighting each other, with Ultimecia unleashed a barrage of magically animated swords, which stopped in time. But Devil Homura resumed time, sending the swords far away from their intended.
With it being pointless, Devil Homura spawned a portal and with a wave of her hand moved Ultimecia through it.
Tropical Island
(Cue Decisive Battle (Final Fantasy VI) - GaMetal)
Things looked very warm and relaxing on this island, though the peace was interrupted by a fight between Mighty Mouse and Popeye, the two had just reached the beaches from the seas, "You are now under my control... You will punch yourself repeatedly in the face!" Mighty Mouse commanded as Popeye, seemingly adhering to that order, raised his fists and crashed them into his head, knocking himself backward until he hit the trunk of a coconut tree.
As the portal appeared, as being flung through it, Ultimecia too hit the same tree trunk, this time knocking all of the brown fruit, all of which fell on Popeye's head. "D'ooh... I ain't feelin' so swell...", Ultimecia looked to her right, only to then recognize her surroundings, she was on a Beach, and she had also left this man near her with several bumps on his head.
Devil Homura soon appeared as well, only to realize the surroundings as well. Mighty Mouse using his smaller size, noticed the arrival of the two, thinking they may have been other people on the island, Ultimecia saw one of the brown fruit on her side, picked it up and desperately used it as a weapon against Devil Homura, but it was effortlessly batted away.
Ultimecia stood back up and teleported behind Devil Homura, grabbing her by the arms, decidedly concluding she had pinned her, but Devil Homura remaining quite still, raised a portal from underneath them, causing them both to fall into it.
Uchiha Hideout
(Cue Awaken to the Threat - Bleach Dark Souls)
A terraced mountain with vast forestry growing on each level, it looked deserted but was indeed housing individuals, for one of the two, it was a sort of home ground for them, this was, of course, Itachi Uchiha, who was stunned with the abilities of his opponent, Byakuya Kuchiki. "It seems that even if the pain was real, the injuries aren't. I assume all of that was an illusion..." Byakuya had come to detest the use of illusions, "And I hate this way of fighting, this is how someone with no pride fights."
As the two were about to tangle some more, a portal appears on the ceiling of the Hideout, and the two fall through it, but both manage to salvage a potential fall by floating in midair, Byakuya caught wind of this, but soon wondered "Is this yet another illusion, trying to avert my attention with imagery to alarm me?"
Itachi didn't respond, as he too had become aware of the two girls arrival, Itachi wanted to sense for chakra, but anticipating an attack incoming, Itachi jumped out of the way, having foreseen one of Ultimecia's lances would strike the ground. Byakuya noticed that this "illusion" was also attacking his opponent, he soon reconsidered and also had to avoid a weapon coming his way, a giant axe. Thanks to a swift evasion neither were harmed.
Seeking an opportunity to counterattack, Itachi and Byakuya stepped up, "Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu!" and "Senbonzakura" both preceded attacks on two fronts. Seeing that they were under attack, Devil Homura raised a portal, flying through it quickly, and Ultimecia pursued her through it.
Snowdin
(Cue Amalgam - Undertale)
It was an average day in this winterly place, rumours were going around, and ones of humans here in the Underworld, and they were quickly proven true with the presence of Varik. Who was in a fight with Frisk, a human who had been here in the Underworld for some time.
Varik blocked a punch from Frisk with his shield and countered with a sweeping kick. Frisk dodged the kick as best he could, and the two traded punches and kicks for a brief while before the portal appeared nearby, and Ultimecia and Devil Homura arrived in the Underground. Papyrus and Sans who were also present gasped at seeing even more humans appear from out of nowhere! "Now this is something else! More humans appearing from out of the sky!" Papyrus commented.
Varik and Frisk were largely ignorant to the new arrivals, as they kept themselves at each other's toes. Frisk did hear Papyrus blabbering about something but dropped their thoughts on it to focus on the fight. Ultimecia unleashes a blast of magic, as does Devil Homura. The two explode upon contact, causing a huge explosion that finally gets the attention of Varik and Frisk.
Devil Homura looked around and saw that the damage they were causing was going to eventually harm this world, creating a portal yet again, Devil Homura flew into it as Ultimecia attempted to catch her with a follow-up magic blast, Ultimecia chased both Devil Homura and her attack into the next world.
Neo-Tokyo
(Cue Burning Battlefield - Pokémon)
It's a quiet mid-afternoon day in the dystonia land of Neo-Tokyo, but unquestionably apocalyptic, almost no one occupied these emptied streets, but it was, however, the battleground of two supremely powerful beings, "PERISH!" uttered one of the combatants, this was the Psychic Tetsuo Shima, using his great power to destroy the city itself.
But before his destruction could carry out it's intended effect, it was halted by another being, also with Psychic powers, Mewtwo, the genetically-engineered Pokémon. Mewtwo using its psychic powers communed with Tetsuo, telling to refrain from ending this city, Tetsuo was overwhelmed and lashed out with brash and vulgar words, but before either of them could take any action, they both heard a tall tower collapsing nearby.
Mewtwo heard this and flew over to the destination of the tower, only for it to be where Devil Homura and Ultimecia appeared, having to recognize them as destructive humans with no other information to observe, Mewtwo's eyes turned pure blue as he used his telepathy to reach out to the two.
"Cease this attack on the city, or else you two will be the first." Mewtwo's words rung in the minds of Ultimecia and Devil Homura, both of which quickly turning their heads to see Mewtwo glaring down at them, Tetsuo leapt to a building nearby where he saw all three individuals. He remained quiet.
Ultimecia had grown irritated with a being ordering her around like that, launched some her weapons towards Mewtwo, having foreseen the attack, Mewtwo simply holds his arm out and telekinetically freezes them, before eventually, Ultimecia dissipated them.
Mewtwo held its arms by his side, forming a pitch-black ball from thin air, the dark aura in his hands created the Shadow Ball, launching multiples of them toward Ultimecia, raising a forcefield to protect herself from the bombardment. Devil Homura raised a portal from behind Ultimecia, causing her to step back right into it, Devil Homura closed the portal as she also went in.
Midnight Channel
Inside the world of human consciousness, a clash was at hand, with one of the combatants having gained the ability to traverse the Midnight Channel, this was none other than Yu Narukami, and what normally would be just another day there, was a fight for his life, fighting against another individual named Lok Lambert.
Their blades clashed at each other, sequential slashes were thwarted and evaded by the combatants, while the two were fighting, the portal appeared nearby, and Ultimecia had been moved in, unaware of her now change of surroundings, Ultimecia gazed around and saw the eerily odd yellow haze surrounding this place. Devil Homura then appeared as well.
Lok and Yu continued their clash, unbeknownst to the arrival of the two. Ultimecia animated a lance and drove it toward Devil Homura, but seeing the futility, Devil Homura batted the lance to the side with her hand, Lok and Yu clashed blades again, but the lance struck the ground between them, immediately drawing their attention.
Ultimecia unleashed a wave of lances toward Devil Homura, but the latter decided to create a portal in front of her, which the lances soundly flew into. But then Ultimecia was struck repeatedly in the back, she turned and saw a portal had been opened behind her and that the lances she had struck against her back, considerably harming Ultimecia.
Lok and Yu watched this, but couldn't reach the two airborne fighters, Devil Homura closing the portal in front of her soon blasted Ultimecia with magic, knocking her into the still-open portal, sending her elsewhere.
Ganondorf's Castle
In the hallowed halls of his dark castle, Ganondorf sat in his throne, observing his minions from above, an interest to join the battle came over the King of Evil, but he was halted by a beaming red light appearing from the shadows nearby.
A profound breathing noise could be heard as Darth Vader appeared from the shadows, brandishing his lightsaber. "I shall crush you and your army with the power of the Force!" Vader proclaimed. Ganondorf raised his arm into the air, as the Triforce appeared on his hand, "Your "Force" is nothing compared to my magic!"
As the two charged at one another, Ultimecia appeared from the portal and her presence was quickly noticed by Vader, detecting magic prowess. "I sense someone far more powerful nearby..." Vader raised his hand, choking Ganondorf with the Force. Ultimecia soon noticed that she had been found, and used her powers to turn invisible.
Vader looked, but could not see who it was he sensed, but could still noticeably sense their presence was nearby. Suddenly that sense Vader was feeling was completely overtaken by an even stronger presence, that of Devil Homura, who appeared physically. Vader turned and saw her, in doing so he released his force choke on Ganondorf, "Your power is extraordinary, are you a-" before Vader could finish he had been brutally punched in the back by Ganondorf, who unleashed a Warlock Punch.
Sending Vader careening into a wall nearby, the Sith Lord also dropped his lightsaber, as Ganondorf stomped his way toward Vader. Ultimecia lashed out and grabbed hold of Devil Homura, the two took flight, soaring high above the ground, Devil Homura simply raised a portal as the two flew into it, still entangled.
Forest
Ultimecia and Devil Homura appeared in this world, and promptly crashed into and collapsed a tree. As the tree collapsed, a nearby creature was alerted to this and began moving over to the site of the sound it had heard, this was the Gripper Pokémon, Dusknoir.
"You cannot hide forever." Dusknoir glared around, trying to locate who or what caused this tree to fall, however, Dusknoir was then bombarded by a wave of arrows, turning around to see that its foe, Lucina, had taken advantage of Dusknoir's sudden distraction. "Let's settle this!" Lucina shouted as she stored away Thögn and drew out her Parallel Falchion.
Ultimecia and Devil Homura had fled to neighbouring parts of the forest where they remained obscured from view. Ultimecia stood up as the fight between Lucina and Dusknoir had started drifting further away from them. Ultimecia was about to step out back into visible sight, but someone tapped her on the shoulder. Ultimecia turned around... only for it to be Devil Homura.
Ultimecia threw more weapons at her foe, only for them to become meaningless, Devil Homura created yet another portal and Devil Homura flew directly at the portal, seeing her advancing speeds, Ultimecia retreated into the portal first.
Earth
On the world that many call home, things seemed peaceful, however, in a remote area away from inhabited cities, a fight was going down, the environment was very flat and was littered to the brim with rubble and debris.
"It's time we end this family squabble and declare ME the Strongest!", a robotic voice spoke, this was one of the beings from the wicked bloodline of the universe's most malevolent beings, Metal Cooler, who had come to take over Earth, but was halted by his brother, Mecha-Frieza. Who similarly had to rely on mechanics and robotic limbs to remain alive. "I welcome your challenge!"
Ultimecia and Devil Homura soon arrived, and the two appeared in the middle of the two brothers quarrel. Metal Cooler took a moment "So, some Earthlings have shown up", Mecha-Frieza observed them "These aren't the same Earthlings I've seen before". Mecha-Frieza fired a Death Beam towards Devil Homura, only for it to be evaded. Mecha-Frieza looked surprised, while Metal Cooler just observed the situation.
"Well, you must certainly be swift, but run along with Earthlings, I have a family property dispute to deal with.", Mecha-Frieza returned his attention to his brother, "You Earthlings can have your chance with whichever one of us lives through this, fortunately, I know that it will be me." Metal Cooler retorted, angering his brother. The two siblings resumed fighting as Devil Homura created another portal and flew into it, Ultimecia followed through.
Open City Road
(Cue Shotgun Kiss - F-Zero GX)
A normal day in the city, an autumn afternoon breeze was a welcome yet calm chill, things were peaceful, so much so that two people had decided to partake in a race, a competition between a high-speed racing machine, and a good old fashioned motorcycle, inside the cockpit of his vehicle was the legendary pilot and bounty hunter, Captain Falcon. He had agreed to a race with Takeshi Hongo, known better as Kamen Rider Ichigo.
The two had already begun their race by the time Ultimecia and Devil Homura arrived, appearing overhead, high in the sky. Devil Homura looked at the city that laid in front of her, reminding her of Mitakihara City. However, she did not intend on remaining envious for too long, Ultimecia approached her again, throwing another Great Attractor.
Devil Homura countered with an attack of her own, the two magical attacks colliding and causing an explosion, out of the corner of their eyes, Captain Falcon and Kamen Rider Ichigo manage to see the explosion and begin to race closer to where they saw it.
With the city potentially a casualty to their destructive conflict, Devil Homura raised a portal behind Ultimecia and promptly used telekinesis to send her drifting into the portal.
Forest
Reappearing in what seemed like a forest from earlier, Ultimecia hit the ground, realizing Devil Homura too possessed the capability to move objects with her mind, Ultimecia began to ponder if perhaps Devil Homura was a past user of the Sorceress Power, and that perhaps she may be worthy of possessing to fortify her power.
"You look something that leapt out of a fairy tale" a voice commented, Ultimecia still slightly dazed from her tumble gazed to her right, only to see a man wearing a metal suit of armour, but had a perfect human-looking face, she had been greeted by Tony Stark, otherwise known as Iron Man.
Ultimecia stood back up on her feet, declining an offer to be helped up by the Iron Avenger. "Well, seems like you've got a story, or you dressed up for Comic-Con and got lost the night after." Ultimecia is a little bewildered by Stark's ego, but soon starts walking, Stark offers to help her, but soon he is jumped on by a younger-looking boy, Tatsumi of Night Raid.
"So you're still hanging in there kid. Gotta say you bounced back alright." Stark kept up his tempo until he realized the armour looked different. It was more reptilian and resembled something like a monster. Iron Man turned to look at Tatsumi as Ultiecia began to back away more and more.
Devil Homura had observed everything, seeing how Ultimecia would fare to the elements of this world, but had decided to remain obscured from sight. After deciding Ultimecia had been exposed to enough, she created a portal behind Ultimecia, as she stepped back into it, completely unaware.
Mount Olympus
Atop the towering large mountain of Greece. A fierce showdown was taking place, having decimated the gods above and below Mount Olympus, the God of War Kratos had once again shown his power to another adversary, this time it was the Hero of Skyworld, Pit.
Ultimecia arrived, only to then realize her change of scenery, she then heard the sound of a boy's yell, she turned her attention there, only to see a giant door, fit enough to be a palace door had been kicked open, with Ultimecia also observing a bulky man with pale white skin surrounded by red marks from his torso to his head. That man then followed the sound of the boy, heading inside.
Devil Homura appeared and gripped Ultimecia in telekinesis once again, holding her frozen in place, she flew over toward her stilled opponent, "I hope you do intend on using your full strength, it would be meaningless to fight you otherwise." Devil Homura continued to look at her opponent, but moments later Pit's yell could be heard as he hit against a pillar, alerting Devil Homura.
Pit slowly recovered, only to notice the presence of Ultimecia and Devil Homura, "Lady Palutena? Who are those girls?", imploring to his Goddess of Light for answers, "I'm not sure Pit, I've never seen either of them before, they both feel incredibly powerful, they may even be Goddesses in this world, I'm not certain."
Pit gulped at the prospect of there being more gods. "Is there anything we can do?" he scrammed for any conclusion he could arrive at that would be the least worrisome. "It seems these two are fighting with each other, best to let them be and focus your attention on Kratos." With their presence perhaps being a little outlived, Devil Homura decided it would be time for them to leave, she spawned a portal, tossing Ultimecia into it and following in lieu.
Forest
(Cue Boss Medley (Kirby) - Super Smash Bros. for Wii U)
Somehow Ultimecia had winded up in yet another forest, she looked to see if there was a dark creature, or a metallic man waiting for her, but no such audience was there to be greeted with upon arrival. Instead, she stood up alone, looking to see if there was anyone nearby. "Munch!"
Ultimecia heard a peculiar sound, then followed by the sound of wood tearing apart, and then a THUD as a tree collapsed, Ultimecia used teleportation to move closer, only to see two particularly short creatures were fighting each other, Ultimecia wasn't too bothered and soon turned away.
"You don't look overly impressed, lady." a voice spoke to Ultimecia, she turned around thinking someone had approached her, but she didn't see anyone, and then looked down at the small creature looking at her, "Yeah, me! I'm Upchuck!", but before Upchuck could continue with formalities, he was tackled by Munchlax, and the two resumed fighting.
Ultimecia took this opportunity to continue exploring the forest, Devil Homura followed her closely, but not drawing her attention. Ultimecia soon realized that there was no one else in this forest and wanted to leave. Reading Ultimecia's mind, Devil Homura spawned a portal in front of Ultimecia, who took the offer and stepped in.
Outskirts of Titan Forest
On a mostly grassy field, things had gone bad quickly, beings of gargantuan size, the Titans, had appeared, and upon a swift cut to the back of the neck, they would dissolve and reveal their original human form. Seeing her adoptive brother wither away and die, Mikasa Ackerman had become enraged and set her sights on the ones that killed him.
Having told her cohort to help the squad, Rita Vrataski boldly declared her intention to fight Mikasa one on one. With the two combatants now brawling each other, Ultimecia showed up in this world. Her presence not particularly noticed by either Rita or Mikasa. Ultimecia observed the world around her, just then the roars of Titans are heard, they're approaching quickly!
Ultimecia turned to see the overwhelming height of a Titan slowly approaching her, and not yielding in its approach either, Ultimecia froze time and slowly cast Apocalypse, "There is no running from this pain..." having summoned the glyph of her supreme magic, she targeted the incoming Titan and waited until just the right moment.
"Regret awaits..." Ultimecia unleashed the full power of Apocalypse, completely eviscerating the head of the Titan with a bloody end to its life, the Titan dropped to the ground and shook the earth around it, Mikasa was alarmed by the sudden death of the Titan, only to gaze up and see a woman with wings standing in midair. Rita had thought perhaps the squad had managed to best another one, only to see the same winged woman.
Ultimecia had shown one of her deadliest spells, and this had told Devil Homura all she needed to know. From elsewhere in that world, Devil Homura laid out another portal, and Ultimecia moved through it.
Gotham City
(Cue Plant Sneaking Theme - Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty)
In the infamous city of crime, things were as they had always been, loitered with criminals and vigilantes, and on this night, things were no different. Batman had found a group whose actions were a threat to the citizens of Gotham, but he was left with only one of them to handle, The Scout, who held onto that baseball bat of his.
"For mercenaries, you don't look particularly like one" Batman commented, seeing that The Scout looked much like just another teenager in Gotham, "Yeah well, best I can do." The Scout responded. Ultimecia appeared on one of the rooftops of Gotham, only to then be approached by Devil Homura. "So, you do indeed command great magic, but surely this can't be the extent of your power?" Ultimecia had now become rather annoyed.
Hearing the sound of two women on a nearby rooftop, Batman reached for his grappling hook and aimed it at the roof, and in seconds he had completely left The Scout behind, "Well, that didn't go like how I was expecting" The Scout breathed a sigh of relief.
Meanwhile on the rooftop Devil Homura had repelled and deflected a wave of Ultimecia's attacks, seeing more and more of the witch's arsenal, in seconds Batman had landed, but kept his distance and used his technology to listen in.
"If you wish to see the extent of my power, you had best be ready to start letting these worlds suffer because they will not last as long as you'd think." Batman was alarmed by this and used the device on his wrist to send a communication to the Watchtower.
Ultimecia extended her hands as she looked up into the sky, finally tapping into the power she had been holding back. "Come Griever!" Ushering in a transformation, altering her appearance to take on some of Griever's qualities, a lion-like face with a white mane and white feathered wings. Griever's claws become her arms while her arms are crossed over her chest.
A smile came over Devil Homura's face, now she could finally see Ultimecia's true power, in perhaps the single greatest thrill of adrenaline she had been given this entire fight, Devil Homura spawned a portal, with herself and Ultimecia flying into it.
Alfheim Desert
With tumbleweeds following the wind's direction, the desert was allegedly the site of a special quest, one to obtain the Great Sacred Treasure, which had become the object of interest by two opposing forces. One one hand Pit, the Hero of Skyworld had come to reclaim a treasure he had once used, on the other hand, Kirito, the survivor of Sword Art Online, was seeking the item most likely as a means of selling it for monetary gain.
The two had decided to fight for the honour of claiming the item, but during their contest, some new knowledge surfaced "Wait, you can fly too?! You look more like a fairy than an angel..." Pit had unexpectedly discovered Kirito was capable of flight.
It was then that Ultimecia and Devil Homura arrived, with the barren nature of the desert, and the ability for both combatants to fly, their presence was quickly spotted. "Are these the bosses? Or are they bugs? I can't quite read their stats or anything." Kirito pondered as to the nature of these new arrivals.
Pit seeing an opportunity to strike was able to land a solid strike with his sword and in a swift turn of events, disarmed Kirito of his blade. Kirito was a bit stunned but was able to recover. He leapt back to the cliffside he was on earlier and tried to get a better look at the two fighters in the sky.
"There's nothing on them, yet they feel like real players... they can't be bugs." Kirito still didn't have answers, but Pit had approached quickly, using his wings to fly on up to the cliffside, firing an arrow from his bow. Kirito evaded the shot and drew his blades once again as their fight continued on higher ground. Wanting to move on from this world, Devil Homura lifted a portal from underneath Ultimecia, and telekinetically pushed her into it.
City Subway Station
In a lesser part of a city, with graffiti on the walls. Two individuals stood beneath the rails of a subway. Both dressed in black, one was the fear-invoking Darth Vader, the other dressed in a trench coat wearing sunglasses was Neo, believed to be "The One".
Neo fired rounds upon rounds of bullets towards Vader, but the Sith Lord deflected with the Force, rending them useless before him, Vader locked Neo into a Force Choke and quickly used his grip to throw Neo into a nearby wall, leaving Neo on the ground slowly trying to regain his stance.
Ultimecia being affected by telekinesis crashed into a completely tore one of the support beams holding up the tracks for the subway. Devil Homura appeared in front of her, and Ultimecia unleashed an enhanced attack, which Devil Homura dodged, only for the attack to hit the parallel support beam. Unbeknownst to everyone, a subway train had just arrived and suddenly collapsed due to a lack of support beneath.
Vader turned around and saw the subway train had just about fallen on top of him, Vader deactivated his lightsaber and used both his hands to properly control the Force, using it to prevent the subway from falling on top of him.
With a gentle redirection, Vader was able to avert the direction of the subway, leading it to crash out of harm's way. Devil Homura and Ultimecia also saw the subway be averted while Neo retreated to a nearby building to avoid being a projectile victim.
Ultimecia unleashed yet another attack, waving her hands and conjuring more magic-based weapons. Seeing the incoming wave, Devil Homura used her telekinetic powers to redirect them away. Devil Homura decided to create another portal, and dashed into it, Ultimecia pursued her.
Downtown New York
(Cue Planet Hell (Instrumental) - Nightwish)
A catastrophe had struck the popular city, as the menacing Doomsday was here to destroy all things it could. The X-Men had pledged to stop this vicious beast, but the horror could be seen even from Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.
But despite most of the mutants being stopped by Doomsday, one human had stepped into the fray, Cain Marko, best known as The Juggernaut! The two of them collided with Juggernaut coming out ahead knocking Doomsday down onto the ground and into a nearby building.
Devil Homura and Ultimecia appeared inside the deserted building Doomsday was also in. Doomsday was understandably enraged someone was fighting back and landed hits that affected him at all, he stood up and charged at the first thing he saw, which was Ultimecia.
Ultimecia seeing that Doomsday looked like nothing more than a brute without a plan, simply raised her forcefield, Doomsday began smacking and pounding against the forcefield, seeing that there was no damage being done to her forcefield, Ultimecia stopped time, lowered her shield and pushed out a great magic blast with her swords, all striking into Doomsday.
Resuming time, Ultimecia's collective attacks had yielded enough force to launch Doomsday out of the building he had just entered, Juggernaut saw Doomsday flying back onto the streets and sprinted up to him and began bashing the beast while it was down.
Devil Homura proceeded to blast Ultimecia, but with the added benefit of Griever she withstood the attack better than she had before, having seen some of Ultimecia's enhanced capabilities, Devil Homura pursued yet another portal of hers, and Ultimecia chased her.
Onett
With trees, hills and very bright grass livening up the town, for once everything here was actually at relative peace, the only trouble going down here was a debate between two youngsters who wanted to prove to the other who the strongest was.
On one hand, Lucas was the initiator trying to get their debate into a battle, on the other hand, Ness decided to get involved, agreeing to the idea of a match very easily. Very quickly the two begun battling each other, both demonstrating their PSI powers to each other, with them both revealing to the other they shared some of the same abilities.
Devil Homura appeared in this world shortly thereafter and saw just how peaceful things here were, there wasn't any sign of true danger. Ultimecia showed up behind her unleashing magic with greater intent than before, which only reminded Devil Homura that the sole danger at this point was her foe.
Moments before they clash once again, suddenly the sky darkens around them as one of the boys shouts "P.K. Starstorm!", and dozens of comets begin raining from the sky. Noticing they are in the firing range, Devil Homura makes a portal in front of her and flies into it, Ultimecia flies into the portal too.
Bar
(Cue Stardust Speedway (Bad Future) - Sonic CD)
Down at a place where everyone would go to drink their troubles away, trouble had found itself in the form of two individuals, having started a fight between themselves. Sans one of the regulars to this bar, and Jotaro Kujo, the new dude who showed up. The Prankster was keeping up appearances, which only proved to irritate his foe even greater. "I was really angry atcha earlier, but now... I think I'll let it slide." Sans honoured his word, sliding Jotaro across numerous buildings on the city block.
Devil Homura and Ultimecia showed up at this time, and Sans having gained an advantage, decided to check out the other people fighting, seeing if theirs was anywhere as chaotic as his own. Sans looked above to see the two trading magic attacks, some being deflected, others being evaded, and some just being teleported elsewhere.
It was at this moment that Jotaro decided to strike back, "Star Platinum: The World!” Jotaro shouted. Time ceased to move, but the sudden stop in time did not halt Devil Homura, but Ultimecia began to slow down, realizing her circumstances. Jotaro, having gained an upper hand by stopping time against Sans, made his way over to the skeleton as best he could before unleashing a mighty "ORAAAAAAAAA!".
"Time will flow once more", with Jotaro's command things resumed, Sans had shockingly managed to avoid the punch of Star Platinum, even if it was an extremely close call. Ultimecia now freed from Star Platinum's Time Stopping, resumed her attacks on Devil Homura. Seeing that other people could stop time, Devil Homura decided it was time to leave this world. The two departed through a portal.
Rainbow Butterfly Woods
Within the lush foresty of the area, many consider a dungeon, a sword duel was taking place, between two ladies of the sword. Monica Raybrandt, someone familiar with the Woods she walked through, and Lucina, someone who had appeared with the intent of obtaining the Geostone.
The two ladies clashed. Trading sword swings and thrusts, both testing the capabilities of their opponent. Devil Homura and Ultimecia appeared, only this time they could hear the metal of the swords colliding frequently. Ultimecia decided this would be an appropriate time, and unleashed a wave of magically animated swords from a red portal with pitch-black in its centre.
Devil Homura evaded them with ease, but the swords instead began striking at trees, and soon one of them tipped over and fell, with one of them almost collapsing on top of Monica. But she was able to react in time and swung her Long Sword, cleaving the fallen tree in two.
Lucina had seen the tree collapse from just a couple feet away, but couldn't see what had caused the tree, she had concluded her foe didn't possess any kind of magic, so she instead considered maybe their fight was causing a disturbance elsewhere. Monica leapt over the half of the tree she had just cleaved and bolted over to Lucina, eager to resume their battle, "No more holding back!" Monica shouted.
Devil Homura, having recognized the woman with hair of blue from an earlier visit to another world, soon began to wonder even more, but at that moment Ultimecia attacked her, and successfully hit, Devil Homura disappeared into a portal, which Ultimecia followed through too.
Hidden Leaf Village Border
(Cue God of War - Naruto: Shippuden)
As things were perfectly safe inside the protected village hidden in the leaves, just outside of its borders was a much different story, the village's leader, Naruto Uzumaki had gotten himself in a fight with a demon hunter, Dante.
"More balloons? No party without balloons, I guess..." as always Dante had kept his cool. And let Naruto play things out how he wanted, with the Ninja using his Shadow Clone Jutsu to replicate himself multiple times, surrounding Dante and even standing in places of higher ground, trees, buildings and so on.
Devil Homura and Ultimecia arrived, and both caught the bright orange of Naruto, only in dozens and dozens. The legion of Naruto all sprinted at Dante, forming Rasnegans in their hands, they all simultaneously leapt into the air and outstretched their Rasengans toward Dante.
Dante took hold of Rebellion and swung the blade in a full three-hundred and sixty-degree rotation, striking all of the shadow clones, making them all poof before disappearing, but a majority of the shadow clones were still intact, and all of them moved in on Dante at once.
"We can do this all day if you like, you're clearly ready to throw a party for us" Dante was a suave as ever, not letting a single thing bother him, only Naruto was bothered at this point, who was attacking Dante alongside his clones. Devil Homura had seen some interesting things, but she wanted to leave, and so travelled through the portal she made, Ultimecia chased her.
Death Egg Zone
(Cue Final Boss - Sonic & Knuckles)
Aboard a massive orbital fortress and space station, inside one of the many zones that make up the satellite's structure, one of the Doctor's creations, Metal Sonic was facing down a similarly blue opponent, but rather than the inspiration of his design, Sonic. Instead, it was a young man fully encased in blue armour with a cannon for an arm, this was Mega Man X.
"Let's see how you handle this." Metal Sonic was fierce, approaching X and striking him with a succession of physical strikes, energy attacks, and hard-hitting collisions backed up by jet power. Withstanding the attacks, but taking damage nonetheless, Metal Sonic fired his RIng Spark Field... only for it to pass through X, completely unaffecting him.
Ultimecia appeared first, with Devil Homura then appearing behind her, Ultimecia smirked as she launched her animated swords toward Devil Homura, evading them all, but this time Ultimecia continued her attack, following Devil Homura's movements, akin to an anti-aircraft turret trying to aim at its targets. Devil Homura ended up being just too fast and was able to avoid all of them.
But in moments, an alarm sounded, without realizing it Ultimecia had damaged the walls of the Death Egg, and now part of the space station's wall had been broken, causing a vacuum to suck pulling anything nearby out into the vastness of space.
Devil Homura and Ultimecia flew away from the affected area, while X and Metal Sonic retreated to nearby barriers where they would be safe, as the alarm continued for another short moment, but as though it was a door closing, two sets of metal began covering up the exposed gap of the space station before finally it had sealed things shut, and the alarmed ceased.
X and Metal Sonic looked around them, Metal Sonic detects two lifeforms, both in midair with wings. Metal Sonic targets them both, launching two energy attacks, one for each. Ultimecia raising a forcefield, and Devil Homura simply sidestepping the blast. Metal Sonic then prepared for another pair of attacks, only to be knocked a dozen meters to the side, X had landed a fully charged Mega Buster.
Devil Homura slightly lifted a smile. Ultimecia took that moment to throw a magically animated axe toward her foe, but it was swiftly evaded. Devil Homura created a portal, and travelled into it, Ultimecia followed too.
Forest of Death
(Cue Luffy Onslaught! - One Piece)
Inside the dangerous and infamous training grounds, a shinobi's battle was taking place, the training ground was not often inhabited by anyone, but these two had made a pretty bold choice by fighting in here, of course, one of them was a shinobi and had gained the necessary experience, and bravery as well. Rock Lee, one of the few Taijutsu users, was in a battle with a similarly combat-oriented foe, Sanji.
"Sure you wanna keep at this kid?" Sanji asked, but before the question could be answered, Rock Lee had vanished and only dust remained, surprised by the speed of his opponent. But this distraction allowed Rock Lee to land two successful strikes, a kick to the neck, and another on Sanji's back.
Devil Homura appeared inside the Forest of Death, and immediately noticed this forest was completely unlike any of the previous forest-like environments she had visited thus far, Ultimecia appeared shortly behind her, magically constructing a lance, and throwing it at her opponent, but it was evaded, and the lance completely sliced through some trees, making them all collapse and shake the area around them.
Rock Lee looked and begun to think maybe their fight had drawn out one of the creatures that gave the Forest of Death its name. Sanji saw an opportunity and kicked Rock Lee, knocking him a few meters, eventually landing in a nearby river.
The flow of water gave Rock Lee some much-needed breathing time, as Sanji simply sprinted to catch up with Rock Lee. Ultimecia decided to throw another axe she constructed, this one was evaded as well, but this time, it took down just a single tree. Devil Homura decided it was about time they left, she spawned a portal and pushed Ultimecia into it with a simple wave of her hand.
ACDC Town
A town within DenTech City, a central hub that played an essential role in the lives of its inhabitants. But right now there was an alleged 'virus' lurking around, this was what Keramon had been designated. Given that distinction by MegaMan.EXE. The two had been fighting for a little while, "Haha! This thing doesn't stand a chance!" MegaMan.EXE cheered.
Ultimecia appeared but hit the ground upon arrival. MegaMan.EXE noticed the new arrival. "Another virus? I'll have to check that out later". .EXE looked over at Ultimecia momentarily, but Keramon approached and struck .EXE, slightly dazing him.
Devil Homura appeared too, seeing Ultimecia standing back up without much trouble, thanks to Griever amplifying her power. Ultimecia reached her arm out to Devil Homura, the target locking magic arrows soon appeared and were following Devil Homura's movements. A smirk came over Ultimecia's face as she continued to amass these arrows.
Keramon and .EXE slowly drifted their fight away from the two visitors, a successful blast from .EXE knocked Keramon down onto the ground, "Virus down"! .EXE claimed, only for Keramon to glow with white light "Keramon, Digivolve to..." As the light peaked and then finally subsided, Keramon had taken on a new form, "...Infermon!", successfully pulling off the process of Digivolution.
The light that had encapsulated Keramon's digivolution to Infermon distracted Ultimecia. With her guard down, Devil Homura flew in close and unleashed a magic blast at point-blank range. Ultimecia reacted just a little too late. Ultimecia got sent flying dozens of meters, the arrows she had stockpiled dissipated, Devil Homura conveniently made a portal appear behind Ultimecia, who was helpless to avoid it, directly flying into it.
Hyrule Field
(Cue Vim and Vigor - Kingdom Hearts II)
On the lush fields, conflict was an afterthought, however, a one versus one fight was going down on the fields, due to the presence of dark energy within a young boy, Sora. The destined Keyblade Wielder, who had been made to fight against Link, the Hero of Time, who had sensed the darkness within Sora. "Well, if it's a fight you want, it's a fight you'll get!" Sora exclaimed.
The young heroes clashed Master Sword and Kingdom Key respectively, their weapons proving to be as formidable as the other, Ultimecia showed up, and immediately Link could sense even greater darkness within her. Link discarded his intent to fight Sora as he instead turned to fight Ultimecia, Devil Homura appeared too. Link was overwhelmed, he could detect dark energy that completely eclipsed that of Ganon.
"Oh, don't be afraid." Ultimecia implored to Link to not be hesitant in attacking her. Link was still reluctant, holding Master Sword and Hylian Shield with more tension than he did with Sora. The Keyblade Youth was a little confused by the appearance of these people, they were wearing mostly red and black, the same colours that the Heartless wore.
Sora looked at Ultimecia and was reminded of Ansem, Seeker of Darkness during their showdown. Seeing Devil Homura close by, similarly reminded him of the giant form that Ansem took on during that showdown, but Sora couldn't bring himself to call them Heartless.
"Are they Nobodies?" Sora thought to himself while Link was now pulling back an arrow, seeing if he would fire it upon the sheer magnitude of dark energy he sensed in Ultimecia. The meticulous Ultimecia further attempted to goad Link into firing, but Devil Homura gripped her foe in telekinesis, Sora and Link both stopped in their tracks and watched intently. Devil Homura threw Ultimecia to the ground, cracking some of the Hyrulian Field as she hit the ground.
Devil Homura looked slightly angered, and brazenly swiped her hand to the right, launching Ultimecia in that direction, but shortly thereafter making a portal that Ultimecia conveniently got thrown into, Sora looked at Devil Homura one last time, while Devil Homura looked back. Thinking that she would command Darkness in the same vein as Ansem, Sora's worries were quelled when Devil Homura gave a faint smile to the young boy before disappearing into the portal.
Ponyville
The vibrant and colourful town in Equestria was home to perhaps the biggest herd of ponies ever. Even other kinds of animals could be found there, and in this case, a dragonfly had winded up here and was being kept safe by Twilight Sparkle and her cohorts. Although she had reassured its friend, Spyro the Dragon that it was safe, Spyro was eager and had picked a fight before hearing the pony out.
The two skirmished across Ponvyille, even knocking one another into nearby residences, "You need to get out of here. NOW!" Twilight warned, as one of her friends, Zecora fled. Spyro entered the house, and using an ice spell, turned Twilight into pure ice. "That was a waste of time. Now I need to find Sparx."
Ultimecia, having been flung by telekinesis, also winded up in Zecora's house, knocking into a nearby wall, Spyro jumped a little, seeing the sudden presence of someone else, he thought he had gotten in trouble, and quickly fled the house. Ultimecia climbed back onto her feet, but as she did a magical beam emerged from the ice not far from her.
Ultimecia looked and saw the beam had followed Spyro outside of the house, "What just hit me?!" Spyro bewildered by the sheer uncertainty of things right now. Ultimecia looked again only to see the ice was no longer present, Twilight had recovered, and delivered a kick with her back legs, launching the small purple dragon into the air.
Devil Homura arrived in the house and saw Ultimecia was still using her Griever powers. But also noticed the fight going on outside. Ultimecia flung a lance at shocking speed, hoping to get a sneak attack, but Devil Homura flew back into the air, Ultimecia followed her outside of the house, only to be met with a purple magic blast. But in just the nick of time Ultimecia was able to project her forcefield, deflecting the attack.
Spyro and Twilight continued fighting, with the two of them being surprised about the other's capability of flight, Spyro showing off and mimicking Twilight's words. "Of course I can. Didn't you notice my wings?". Devil Homura unleashed additional blasts of purple magic, but Ultimecia continued to deflect them with her powers Seeing it was pointless to push an offensive while she was so defensive, Devil Homura disappeared into a portal, with Ultimecia chasing her into the portal.
Forlorn Village
(Cue Song of the Ancients ~ Fate - NieR Gestalt)
With a storm night beseeching the village that was already in a low state of quality. Two men of the sword gazed at each other, seeing the other without obstruction. Guts, the Black Swordsman had already drawn his colossal blade, putting the heaviest heap of raw iron out front. Samurai Jack simply looked at the man, seeing the anger, rage within Guts.
Thunderstruck the ground and the rain heavily poured down, Guts rushing up to the samurai without a second thought, looking to end his life. But with an effective parry, Jack blocked the attack with ease, "What the hell?!" Guts was visibly stunned, how on earth could one man with a simple sword just block an attack like that?
Guts made repeated attempts to strike the samurai, but Jack simply dodged all the swings of Dragonslayer, eventually redirecting one of Guts' attacks and landing a cut on his arm. Devil Homura arrived and immediately noticed the extreme downpour around her, Ultimecia noticed this too upon her arrival, due to the dimness of evening and the complete overcast of the sky preventing the sunlight from shining through, Jack and Guts continued their fight unimpeded.
Ultimecia noticed the two fighting, but Devil Homura raised her hand holding a magic blast within her palm, aiming it at her foe's head. Without so much as speaking, Ultimecia ceased any intent she had of interfering, While he is combating Guts, one of the flashes of lightning coming down gives Jack a brief view of his surroundings, and he catches a quick glimpse of two women standing nearby.
Jack wanted to warm them to leave the village, but Guts quickly unleashed another overhead swing of his blade, Jack decided to jump up onto the roof of a nearby building, and from there he was able to once again see the two women. "Don't you hide from me!" Guts shouted as he viciously swung at support beams holding up part of the roof.
Ultimecia saw just how ferocious Guts was, which perhaps enthralled her to act similarly, Ultimecia launched an arrow toward Devil Homura, but having suspected an attack, Devil Homura unleashes another blast of purple magic energy, sending Ultimecia flying into and colliding with Guts, promptly knocking the Black Swordsman onto the ground, Ultimecia blitzed her way back to Devil Homura, but with such a blinding speed, Devil Homura made yet another portal, and Ultimecia was too late, she had approached far too quickly to pull up and was sent to another world.
City
Your usual run of the mill city, however, this one was under attack from a green-lizard like Kaiju, blue spikes lining from head to tail, and red eyes, this was Reptar, what or who would the city turn to answer this threat to the people? Appearing from a building in his full attire, Powdered Toast Man appeared, boldly declaring his intent to protect the city. "Don't worry citizens, leave everything to me!" he shouted.
Using his unorthodox means of flight, Powdered Toast Man managed to fly high enough to garner the attention of Reptar, who charged at the costumed hero, the portal opened near Reptar, and Ultimecia crashed into and tipped Reptar to his side, slightly grazing against a tall building, Ultimecia finally recovered only to then notice the size of Reptar, and that it had stumbled.
Powdered Toast Man took the initiative, and "flew" over to the still-recovering Reptar, and threw raisins at it. Reptar was not bothered by this and simply used fire breath to burn the raisins to nothing. Ultimecia veiled herself in darkness, teleporting to a distant enough area from the city. From there Ultimecia could see the true size of the Kaiju, it was not particularly huge, but still notable enough to stand out.
Devil Homura who had waited for Ultimecia to reappear, got her chance, grabbed hold of Ultimecia with telekinesis, and toss her down, beneath them was a body of water, a river stretching as far as the city. Ultimecia splashed into the water, as Devil Homura released her telekinetic grip.
Ultimecia emerged from the water, drenched all over and flew vertically to approach Devil Homura, unleashing all of her weapons at once, swords, lances, axes and arrows, all launching like a stream of metal and iron, Devil Homura dodged the move, but Ultimecia with her enhanced powers simply redirected her legion of weapons, they followed her direction and once again targeted Devil Homura, who evaded once again, and appeared behind Ultimecia.
Charging a dark orb in her hand, Devil Homura blasted Ultimecia directly on the back, jettisoning Ultimecia forward, dissipating her weapons, Devil Homura created yet another portal, perfect for Ultimecia's trip to the next world.
Judgment Hall
(Cue It's Raining Somewhere Else - Undertale)
A room of regal appearance, pillars of magnificence, the very floor was shining gold and light shined through with a glimmering radiance. Usually, nothing ever give this room an ominous feeling, but currently, this was the case. There was the blue hoodie-wearing skeleton present, Sans. Also in the hall was a youth of Japanese descent. Haruto Soma. Sans had greeted the youth as though this was the end of a lengthy journey, but Haruto was confused.
Sans explained some things to the youth, but soon he had grown impatient and decided to transform into his alter ego, with a magic circle transforming his appearance, Haruto transformed into the ring mage, Kamen Rider Wizard.
Sans noted the unique and unexpected nature of this individual, and the two soon commenced combat, with Kamen Rider Wizard swung his weapon, the Wizarswordgun, only for Sans to avoid the attack and leaving the sword to strike the air.
At the same time, Ultimecia arrived in the Judgment Hall, she stood up and looked mesmerized, this reminded her of the time when she possessed Edea and used her identity to be present at spectacles of high quality. Ultimecia walked through the halls seeing how glorious and befitting it would be for this to be a palace of her own.
Sans and Kamen Rider Wizard were on another side of the Judgment Hall. Devil Homura appeared near Ultimecia, whom Ultimecia noticed, but instead of attacking her, Ultimecia simply stared forward and slightly turned her head, "What's your ambition, girl?" Knowing she could be attacked at any moment, Ultimecia readied herself. Devil Homura had finally been asked a question for the first time in a while.
Devil Homura walked for a short moment, "My ambition? I already accomplished it, and now I simply continue to keep things the way I want them". the girl replied. "Interesting, so all you do is seek to keep things as you desire them to be..." Ultimecia finally turned around to see Devil Homura too was simply walking in the halls.
"Something like this is my kind of ambition, I rule where I come from, and I always wanted to have a castle with this kind of design, glorious and practically untouchable through age or wear." Ultimecia released that information. Devil Homura smirked, "So you've decided to try and perform Time Compression?", Ultimecia smiled, "So, you managed to figure out my grand plan, clever girl." Ultimecia commented.
Devil Homura created a portal in front of herself. "No matter what you try, you won't accomplish Time Compression..." she spoke as she flew into the portal. "Oh my dear, Time Compression is just the beginning." Ultimecia stepped into the portal, bidding her visual farewells to a place she had grown to admire.
Space
(Cue Fall into a Trap - Black Butler)
Out in the vastness of the final frontier, a giant mech primarily coloured in red, armed with a drill for one of its hands was facing down a rather small opponent, who simply looked like a short girl in a poofy pink dress, the mech, known as Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann was fighting for its freedom against the likes of Madoka Kaname.
Aware of the fact Madoka was indeed a God, the mech goaded her to act, "Stop bragging and show us what a God can do already!" Throughout the battle, the mech had reached its pinnacle of power, it had become Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
Devil Homura appeared in this moment and quickly realized this was perhaps the most dangerous place, the presence of beings that could very well destroy the universe in which they stand. As Devil Homura looked to see who the mech was fighting, suddenly Devil Homura halted in place, and emotion starts taking over her stone-cold facade.
(Cue Sagitta Luminis - Puella Magi Madoka Magica)
"M-M-Madoka..." for a moment Homura simply wanted to be herself but knew Ultimecia was close behind, Madoka continued to implore to Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, "You only further the inevitable..." as Madoka spoke, she soon became aware of the presence of two other individuals, who had managed to come into the same space as them.
Madoka then perked up in surprise, "Homura!" She kept her eye on her opponent but turned slightly to look directly at her fellow Magical Girl. Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann then looked and saw the two newcomers, "Even more people to deal with? Well, this has been all over the place. I probably shouldn't be surprised."
Madoka and Homura then spoke to each other, "Homura you look so different! Like you became even stronger than you've ever been before." Madoka cheerfully greeted her friend. Homura was flustered for a time, but regained her composure, "Oh Madoka! I'm just trying to stop a Witch, and it looks like you're dealing with something quite imposing yourself."
Ultimecia arrived and saw Homura talking with a girl in pink. "We all do need things we need to protect after all." seeing that Homura was a completely different person in front of this young girl. Ultimecia decided attacking her now would likely make things even more problematic, and so she remained at the portal.
Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann started to become impatient, "Come on! This is already taking long enough!" shouting across to Madoka, having heard the discontent, Madoka decided she would part with Homura for now. "Go on Homura, take care of the Witch, things will be just fine.", Madoka smiled, overwhelming Homura with such a warm feeling. Homura soon returned to her portal, watching Madoka resume her battle. "You're pushing yourselves too hard for something that cannot be done", Madoka claimed as the portal closed for Homura.
Tokyo, Japan
In the darkness of midnight, Gyaos reigned over humanity, with much of Tokyo in ruins. Suddenly the mighty creature's nest is destroyed, and something travelling at speeds of a blur, Gyaos attempted to attack it, but the blur was able to make a return and strike with a red ray. With the blur finally landing and becoming recognizable to the human eye, the creature was Fire Rodan.
The two creatures roared at each other, Rodan taking flight once again and approaching with repeated pecks, Gyaos responded in kind with small gusts of wind, which also helped its getaway, but with a quick blast of the Uranium Heat-Ray from Rodan, Gyaos had been knocked back down to earth.
With Ultimecia having arrived in this world first, she got a good view of the ongoing fight, seeing the two Kaiju squaring off, With Devil Homura arriving shortly thereafter, she soon regained her composure, after slipping up whilst talking to her dear friend, Devil Homura looked around and saw the ruined Tokyo veiled in the blanket of black thanks to the night sky.
As Rodan unleashed a battle cry, Devil Homura saw it was a battle of Kaiju as well, seeing that one, or both were responsible for all this carnage, but not wanting to contribute to potentially more destruction, the two let the Kaiju resume fighting, still a bit affected by her previous destination, Devil Homura travelled into another portal, with Ultimecia doing the same.
Robbie's Lair
(Cue We Are Number One (Instrumental) - LazyTown)
Just outside of LazyTown, hidden beneath some ingenious contraptions was the secret residence of Robbie Rotten, the nefarious evildoer would've been sleeping, but his slumber was disturbed into the middle of the night but an intruder, but it wasn't Sportacus or anyone he had ever known in LazyTown.
This was the similarly devious Waluigi, and the two had come into a debate about who was the true "Number One", leading the two to begin fighting each other, both using kicks and punches to try and get the other to back down, but neither was about to just surrender the honour of being number one.
Devil Homura appeared inside the lair, but she was situated on a railing, where she looked and saw the mostly blue room, the fluffy chair, and numerous other things, she looked behind her and saw a group of mannequins dressed in different costumes
She saw an object coming in her direction but redirected it toward the ground, safely hitting the ground. Ultimecia appeared and was mostly puzzled, only to then see Waluigi and Robbie having a teleporting contest, "Wah! Two can play at the teleporting game!" the two teleported around the place, occasionally landing attacks on each other, this went on for some time.
Soon the two began using other kinds of attacks, tornados, giant cannons, the works. One of them fell into a cleverly hidden trap. The two continued their antics for quite a long while, Devil Homura created a portal and went in, Ultimecia being momentarily amused by their fight, decided to leave the two men to their battle.
Revan's Flagship
Aboard the Interdictor-class cruiser, Revan was doing a routine check of his vessel's reactor room, in which he was accompanied by an escort group, but that escort group was swiftly struck down, a feat that even left Revan surprised. But the force-user was not alone, and a hooded figure revealed their presence, this was Corvo Attano, who had come to kill Revan.
The two deadly individuals clashed at incredible speeds, Corvo being able to launch bolts, and using Blink to dematerialize and travel around the room to strike Revan upon being materialized again, but Revan drew upon his connection to the Force, using Force Pushes and Force Drain to counter Corvo's offences.
Devil Homura appeared in the corridor where the door to the reactor was directly open, Ultimecia appeared and launched some weapons at Devil Homura, who redirected them and sent them back to the sender, Ultimecia quickly created more and clashed her weapons, prevent them from attacking her. Devil Homura turned her head to the right, hearing the hum of Revan's Lightsaber.
Ultimecia finally broke free of the weapons and launched Great Attractor toward her opponent, but it was swiftly dodged, and instead, the area of effect was unhindered and damaged the corridor, This alerted Revan, who in a quick act, used a strong Force Push, knocking Corvo toward a wall, but instead of being stopped, Corvo broke through the wall and landed on the hallway on the other side of the wall.
Revan then started walking toward where he heard the noise, "More intruders." Revan commented but was dealing with fatigue, so he walked slower than usual, Devil Homura simply teleported further down the corridor, Ultimecia followed her, ready for another attack. In a few moments, Revan had reached the corridor and looked to his left, only to see it was empty, Revan then turned to his right, but before he could complete that turn, a bolt almost struck Revan, but he caught the bolt in midair, Corvo was still able to fight and was back in the reactor room, Revan gripped his lightsaber as he resumed his fight.
With a potential situation averted, Devil Homura created a portal and threw Ultimecia into it with telekinesis.
Tatooine
On the harsh grounds of Tatooine, was a place where the most wretched scum and villainy could converse, Mos Eisley Spaceport, and in this hive, was a bounty hunter in grey and green armor, with a helmet too. This was perhaps the most renowned of their kind, Boba Fett, who had found a worthy bounty on someone called the "Sole Survivor".
Boba learned the Sole Survivor was on Tatooine and departed the Spaceport, and within minutes had tracked down his bounty, opening fire on him, the Sole Survivor was able to quickly leap to the side, avoiding Boba's initial attack, Boba flew close using his jetpack, and used his Fibrecord whip to restain his target. Aiming directly for the head.
Ultimecia soon appeared, unexpectedly stepping into a heap of sand, upon closer inspection, the sand was everywhere, as far as the eye could see, she felt the heat beaming down on her. Devil Homura appeared and acknowledged their desert surroundings. The two levitated above the ground, keeping their feet out of the sand.
The Sole Survivor used his armour to protect himself from Boba's attack, avoiding a lethal shot that likely would've killed him, and quickly retaliated with a kick to Boba's chest. Knocking the bounty hunter onto the ground and momentarily dropping his EE-3 carbine rifle. He was able to attack directly, but in a quick attempt to protect himself, Boba held his arm outward and with the press of a button, the flame projector unleashed a stream of fire causing the Sole Survivor to back off almost immediately, allowing Boba to stand back up on his two feet.
With the conditions of the environment around them being questionable, Devil Homura decided she wanted to leave, making a portal and flying into it, which Ultimecia also flew into.
Mysterious Purple Planet
On a planet of a surface of lavender, a gap tore the sky in two and a young woman lands on the ground, Flandre Scarlet looked around her, noticing the presence of a round creature with eyes standing on a ball, conversing with the creature, it was Marx, a seemingly innocent and playful creature.
After firing bullets in a rush of excitement Marx got angry, not appreciating the trickery. Marx made a quick charge at Flandre, but soon realized the speed of his opponent, changing gears Marx began teleporting around the area instead. Confusing the small girl to an extent.
Devil Homura appeared, only to notice a small girl was performing an attack, Taboo ~ "Forbidden Games", with needled bullets surrounding Marx, his swift evasion only avoided a majority, and one of the bullets managed to strike him.
Ultimecia showed up, and upon seeing Flandre's technique decided to try using her arrows again on Devil Homura, but despite amassing an impressive number, none of Ultimecia's arrows managed to strike, instead, they were redirected or completely stripped of their momentum, one of the arrows flew toward Marx and Flandre, the arrow garnered the attention of them both.
"Hey, not a bad shot there," Marx remarked. Flandre took notice of the two girls, seeing their wings as well as that arrow from just moments ago. "You're pretty good!" Flandre cheered with particular enthusiasm. "But I'm just getting warmed up" Flandre added. Devil Homura wasn't too sure if she was supposed to take the compliment. But Ultimecia decided to take the credit instead. Devil Homura became a little annoyed, and before Ultimecia could speak up, a purple magic blast knocked her a considerable distance, with a portal going up to ensure she would be wind up elsewhere.
White Fang Headquarters
(Cue Rocket Boss Giovanni - Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon)
The crime syndicate's base of operations had come under attack by an even more dangerous organization, Team Rocket, with the majority of the White Fang preoccupied and precious cargo being commandeered by the invaders, the only formality left to deal with was the boss in this base, Roman Torchwick.
With his quarters raided by some grunts, but all paved the way for Giovanni to arrive, and soon he was commanding his Pokémon to attack Roman, but he was crafty and had the means to combat them. "Really? A little early for my birthday, but I love presents!" Roman shifted the heat of battle by piloting a Paladin 290, using it to fight Giovanni's joined forces.
"Good Arceus... he's frustrating. But like all the things I find frustrating..." Meanwhile downstairs, Ultimecia hit the ground, only to realize her location was noticeably void of other people, it looked like people would be here, but alas there was no one there, except for Devil Homura appearing through the portal. Ultimecia still intoxicated by the power of Griever unleashed even more attacks. Devil Homura had noticed the increase in power, and how it had held itself steady for a good time now, but knew there was something truly potent to be seen.
Back upstairs, Roman had managed to get some luck on his side, managing to take out Kangaskhan, one of Giovanni's finest. But this wasn't all Giovanni had to offer, and threw two matching Poke Balls forward, revealing Nidoking and Nidoqueen. Creating a portal behind her, Devil Homura gently flew backward into the portal, as if daring Ultimecia to come in after her. And so she did...
New York City
(Cue The Hot Wind Blowing - Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance)
Things had taken a turn for the uncertain, a large capsule of an unknown cargo landed right in the city, eventually revealing it to be Doomsday, only covered with a green suit, black gloves, and boots, and with his left arm tied by metal coils standing in front of them, a suit that could effectively be used for containment. Of course, this did not end up containing Doomsday and the vicious beast was just about to begin a violent murder spree.
But in a desperate plea, The Incredible Hulk emerged from a destroyed bus, with those nearby hearing the bending of metal and tearing of cloth. Doomsday soon forwarded all interest into fighting the Hulk, with the two soon clashing against one other.
In a different part of the city, Devil Homura and Ultimecia appeared, flying around the city. With a blast successfully striking, Devil Homura knocked Ultimecia to the ground, from there Devil Homura slowly descended to the ground, trying to immobilize Ultimecia by amplifying the force she was applying. Moments later, Hulk crashed through the wall that finally slowed his momentum. Hulk then happened to see the two girls, "You all need to get out of here, quickly!" Hulk pleaded with all the powers of persuasion he could muster, but before he could continue Doomsday roared!
Doomsday saw the Hulk still standing back up, and went for a punch, but Hulk managed to catch Doomsday's fist, surprising the beast. Hulk finally stood back up on two feet, clinching his free first, and unleashed a powerful punch, the sheer magnitude shaking the ground around them, Doomsday crashed through at least three buildings before finally stopping, Hulk then charged forward, catching up with his opponent.
Ultimecia attempted to impale Devil Homura with a lance, but it was frozen in place with Devil Homura's powers, Ultimecia having regained movement teleported and after ascending to higher ground, threw an additional lance, but Devil Homura waved her and completely reversed the direction. Ultimecia raised her forcefield in desperation. Devil Homura gripped her foe with telekinesis again, this time pulling her closer, but created a portal, thus warping Ultimecia to someplace else.
Futuristic City
A time that certainly looks like its the year 3000. With a green portal appearing the sky and then disappearing with the presence of a rather frightening individual, this ended up being Dan Phantom, while he had become interested in having fun here, he was quickly approached by one of the best defenders from interdimensional threats, Ben 10,000. "Not to rain on your parade but you will have to go through me if you want to destroy this town", he commented.
Phantom obliged, and the two put their best powers upon each other, Phantom with his tremendous power, though he was then stunned to see Ben's ability to transform into various aliens, questioning if he was a ghost, which was disproven quickly. Ultimecia appeared and landed nearby, but was promptly hit by another blast, Devil Homura with her hand extended continued her assault.
Ben became a little irritated, there were even more interdimensional breaches, however, he deemed Dan Phantom the "bad guy", and thus made him the immediate priority, ensuring he would get to dealing with the new intruders soon enough. Dealing in savagery and refusing to let her opponent even a second of time to breathe, Devil Homura pelted Ultimecia with blasts, and tossed her around with ease, treating her more like a rag doll compared to the distinction of Witch.
Effectively being bashed senseless and losing her calm demeanour, Ultimecia lashed out in fury. Devil Homura freed her, as Ultimecia, using her enhanced Griever power to it's fullest, rushed toward Devil Homura, grabbing her with the large Griever arms she gained. Devil Homura smirked, creating a portal for the two to them fly into to.
Perpetual Sea and Sky
(Cue Valse Hot - Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic)
The two hit the ground, Ultimecia stood up and looked around, seeing this is was where this had all begun. "So, you chose here?" Ultimecia asked, Devil Homura simply remained unfazed and watched what her opponent had to offer. "Ahaha!" Ultimecia laughed to herself as a rose-red coloured aura surrounded her, her wings began to flap, and she moved her hands in archaic ways.
"Time." In just a few moments later, Ultimecia didn't quite perform Time Stop, but rather Time Crunch, compressing time around Devil Homura to freeze her in place. Ultimecia flew forward and used a giant axe to launch Devil Homura into the air. With her opponent in range, Ultimecia stood under and cast a potent spell "There is no running from this pain", with the glyph of Apocalypse appearing, Ultimecia did not wait to let the glyph move, she immediately cast the spell right above her head!
With her opponent successfully struck by the spell, Ultimecia teleported and using her Griever arm, slashed Devil Homura, with the claw marks cracking reality, the environment around them changed. Now looking like a tunnel with beams of light all meeting with an orb of light in the far distance. "Time.", with time now being stopped.
Ultimecia slowly walked forward "playtime is over...", several arrows appear, in vastly growing numbers, all targeting Devil Homura, having walked far enough from her arrows, Ultimecia finally withdrew her Time Crunch. "...Eternal sleep..." with her back to her foe, Ultimecia commanded all her arrows to fire upon Devil Homura, every single one struck Devil Homura in succession, with things now reaching their peak, Ultimecia extended her hands and cast Sorceress Heart. Powerful explosion magic. Ultimecia laughed some more.
Sorceress Heart's explosion finally brought things back to reality, in the world it all started with, Ultimecia landed on the ground with grace, before lifting her hands in reflection. "At least that killed some time", Ultimecia commented.
(Cue Buunemba Theme - The Enigma TNG)
"Now that was impressive indeed." a voice spoke, Ultimecia recognized the voice and panicked. Turning around to see Devil Homura was standing back on her two feet, She looked completely unaffected by the attack, not even a cut or scratch on her clothing. "Damn you..." Ultimecia dashed forward to strike, only for Griever's power to wear off, reverting to her regular appearance without Griever's qualities. The combination of Time Crush and Sorceress Heart was a heavy toll on the form.
Ultimecia desperately attempted to launch an attack, Great Attractor, flinging the orb at Devil Homura, but this was easily batted away with a simple motion of her arm. Ultimecia began to step backward, "Indeed you are powerful." Ultimecia closed her eyes and focused on Devil Homura with her mind, but suddenly she hit the ground, Ultimecia raised her forcefield to protect herself from constantly hitting the ground. "My body is not yours to take over, Witch". Devil Homura realized what her foe was trying to do, and overpowered her before she could carry out the task.
"H-How did you know that?" Ultimecia was out of words, no one has ever stopped her from possessing the body of ideal hosts, Ultimecia had done so for centuries. Devil Homura spoke up, "I am aware of all you've done, but no matter how hard you try, you won't be calling Griever again." Ultimecia became angered. "Come Griever", Ultimecia commanded, but then nothing happened. Devil Homura's face was painted with a great smile of success, things were going according to plan.
"What?!" Ultimecia exclaimed in worry, "I should be able to call upon...." Ultimecia suddenly couldn't remember the name of who she was supposed to call, she began to stress considerably, "Cannot reach your friend?" Devil Homura asked as she walked forward. Ultimecia drew upon the Sorceress Power as best she could, mustering the strength to unleash Hell's Judgment. She cast the spell right on Devil Homura, with that area becoming completely enveloped in the flames.
Ultimecia's anger turned into a smile of revenge, seeing one of her deadliest spells had been utilized successfully, she took a moment to gaze upon the results of her magic, seeing the flames rise upward in a circular shape. But as she admired the spell, she saw something, the flames were invoking a sort of shadowy figure from the centre. Ultimecia thought for a moment that it may have been Squall, but that idea was shut down almost instantly. The shadowy figure sprout two wings, which seemingly extruded from the sides of the shadowed figure.
Ultimecia panicked again and kept her eye on the figure, which slowly stepped out of the flames, revealing it to be a completely intact Devil Homura. At this point, Ultimecia was completely lost for words "What the hell are you?" Ultimecia asked in fear. Hell's Judgment soon died down as Devil Homura continued her approach, "I'm not a magical girl or a witch. So if you want to know what I've become, I suppose, if anything, you could call me a demon now."
Ultimecia animated a lance with her magic and threw it at Devil Homura, but the demon simply caught it with her bare hand, Ultimecia was alarmed, but before she could act, Devil Homura used her telekinesis to pull Ultimecia toward her, Ultimecia in a moment of desperation teleported out of the way. And took a moment to breathe, but then she heard an unusual sound. "You cannot run from me, Witch..." Ultimecia jumped a short distance to get away from her.
But only just then did she notice, she gazed down and saw her lance... impaled right through her body, Ultimecia, the blood dripped onto the ground as she used her powers to disperse her lance, leaving the open gap in her body. Ultimecia dropped onto her knee as she gazed up at the demon. "You have made a mistake, demon. I cannot die so long as I hold the Sorceress Power, my plans for the future will continue, you have only ensured my plans take a step forward."
"Do you want to test that, Witch?" Devil Homura asked as Ultimecia stood back up on her two feet, "You are far too weak to pose any threat to me now." Ultimecia exclaimed. Devil Homura, angered by the Witch's hubris, unleashed a gigantic blast of purple magic energy. Directing the concentrated blast toward Ultimecia, who in turn cast all of her various weapons and began throwing them toward Devil Homura, with both attacks clashing, with similarly magical composition.
"You cannot defeat a Sorceress!" Ultimecia boasted as she increased the output of her attack, slightly pushing back Devil Homura's blast. "You are a fool, Witch. I. am a Demon!" As if on the very command, her purple magic attack also increased its output. "Your power isn't enough, Demon. You will not stop my plans, my power is unstoppable!" Ultimecia gloated. Then a wicked and devilish smile came up over the Demon's face, "What power? You're having a hard time remembering things, aren't you?" Devil Homura held that smile as she knew what she was doing.
Ultimecia suddenly stopped calling upon new weapons. She couldn't remember how to cast that technique, and her weapons slowly began to lose their strong output, with their number slowly declining, Devil Homura's magic was beginning to overpower them. "You cannot stop me!" Ultimecia shouted. And at that moment Devil Homura simply smiled and clapped her hands.

All of Ultimecia's magically animated weapons vanished from sight, and Ultimecia realized that far too late, her vision was overtaken by purple and she couldn't see anything else. Devil Homura amplified her magic blast even greater, enveloping Ultimecia's entire body, she's gone.
As the blast died down, Devil Homura looked and saw that Ultimecia was no more.

Conclusion[]

Boomstick: What the?! What even happened?!
Wiz: Ultimecia and Homura both could stop time as they saw fit, but the difference in their powers are much more than just stopping time, Homura's wish gave her the ability to time travel, and also be unaffected by alterations in the flow of time, meaning if Ultimecia stopped time, Homura would not be affected.
Boomstick: But if Homura stopped time, Ultimecia would be affected, basically making it onesided. But that's not all, Homura had the advantage when it came to versatility, with all those beautiful weapons. She's like the daughter I never had. Ultimecia on the other hand simply used spells or melee weapons.
Wiz: While those weapons were magically animated and the spells very much potent, they pale in comparison to the sheer size and power of Homura's arsenal, all conveniently stored within her shield. Despite Homura's advantage, Ultimecia is far more experienced, having spent centuries fortifying her power through possessing the prior users of Sorceress Power.
Boomstick: It's certainly more than the almost 100 repeats of time that Homura lived through, and while she did age mentally, it doesn't stack up against the hundreds of years Ultimecia amassed. However, Ultimecia's trick of possessing people wasn't going to work on Homura. Why? Because of Homura's true form.
Wiz: Devil Homura possesses no true physical form. And although she can have physical manifestations, sorta like Darkseid. Ultimecia would be unable to ever possess Homura's true form. And then there are Homura's abilities to manipulate memories and nullify powers.
Boomstick: Ultimecia is a kind of "put your eggs in one basket" kind of person, she has the memories and powers of possessing Sorceresses in her mind. And since she's never shown any mental protection, Homura would very easily be able to alter and erase Ultimecia's memories, such as Griever, or how to cast spells.
Wiz: The Sorceress Power has been stated as preventing a Sorceress from dying until they can pass on the power, but Ultimecia does not possess Immortality, and thusly can be killed. Ultimecia could have accessed her Time Compression transformation, but with Devil Homura's combination of nullifying powers, manipulating memories and reading minds, this was a winning combo that stripped Ultimecia of her final trump card.
Boomstick: And perhaps the biggest nail in the coffin is Homura's Abstract Existence, with it she can't be killed by normal means, and Ultimecia has no means of affecting abstract beings, looks like Ultimecia just couldn't win this time.
Wiz: The winner is Homura Akemi.
