Wiz: Emotions are essential for the human experience. We need them to feel love, fear, hope. Without them, we become empty husks.
Boomstick: These two combatants have got a lot more than just bein' husks! Look! They both get stuck in doorframes!
Wiz: Ulquiorra Cifer, the Arrancar ranked 4 in Aizen's Espada.
Boomstick: Kaede slash Lucy slash Nyu, the Brutal Queen of the Diclonae! He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win...a Death Battle!
Ulquiorra[]
(Cue: Moonshield)
Wiz: In the land of the Hollows, Hueco Mundo, there was a Hollow who was white instead of black.
Boomstick: Isn't that racist?
Wiz: ...Maybe? I don't exactly know what it counts as, given we're not talking about humans. Anyways, because he was white, the other Hollows ridculed him.
Boomstick: Well, that's racist!
Wiz: Agreed. This caused the already somewhat emotionless Hollow to become even more distant. After wandering Hueco Mundo for an unknown amout of time, the Hollow found...a giant bramble tree and, appreciating it's emptiness, sank into it, destroying his mask and making him an Arrancar.
Boomstick: How does someone just...change...species like that?
Wiz: I have no idea. Anyways, this Arrancar lied in that tree for God knows how long...until he was recruited into the Espada by Sōsuke Aizen. This Hollow's name...was Ulquiorra Cifer.
Boomstick: Horray, another name I'll forget how to say. Anyway, Ulquiorra was branded Number Four, or the Cuatro Espada, by Aizen, which is a LIE, as we'll see later on.
Wiz: In his very first encounter with Ichigo and the other Shinigami, Ulquiorra blocked an attack from one using one hand without damage. This is thanks to his Hierro, basically Spiritual Power compressed into Ulquiorra's skin.
Boomstick: This Hierro allows Ulquiorra to tank Ichigo's Getsuga Tensho, which previously cut off Yammy's arm! Just look at the size comparison between Ulqie and Yammy! Ulqie's TINY!
Wiz: Ulquiorra can fire a blast of Reiatsu known as the Cero. The highly destructive beam can be fired from Ulquiorra's fingertips, and is green, unlike the Ceros of basically every other Espada.
Boomstick: Ulqie can use Sonído, which means he's basically a speedster. He can casually blitz guys like Ichigo, who are at worst lightning timers!
Wiz: Ulquiorra wields his Zanpakutō, Murciélago. This katana-like blade is forbidden in Los Noches, which Ulquiorra could destroy just by unsheathing it. He is a master with this blade, but prefers hand-to-hand combat. He is also less cocky than his peers, and prefers to analyze a situation. In fact, he can tell how powerful his opponent is with a single look.
Boomstick: Ulqie can use Descorrer to create a portal which allows him to escape pocket dimensions and move even faster! He can also project his memories to others by smashing his eye! Don't worry, he heals fast.
Wiz: Ulquiorra can use a red variant of Bala to an incredible degree, one-shotting two Shinigami. Despite his size, Ulquiorra is superhumanly strong, can can easily flip much larger opponents than himself on the ground.
Boomstick: Does he get touchy about his height like Ed?
Wiz: I...don't know. Anyways, by shouting the words 'Confine, Murciélago!", Ulquiorra can access Resurrección, an enhanced state that makes him far more powerful while giving him bat wings and somewhat fixing his Hollow Mask.
Boomstick: Ulqie can fire Cero Oscuras, which is basically Cero, but bigger...and darker.
Wiz: Ulquiorra can now use the Luz de la Luna, basically Reiatsu spears/javelins which Ulquiorra can throw and fight with. He took Ichigo's Black Getsuga Tensho yet again and was completely unfazed and cover the area in rain.
Boomstick: Because he wasn't depressing enough! He just had to create weather associated with sadness!
Wiz: Um...no one in the show cares? It's mainly there for artistic effect and to show just how far Ulquiorra's Spiritual Pressure extends.
Boomstick: Well, he can also access another superpowerful form called...Resurrección: Segunda Etapa, which...literally just means Second Stage. In this form Ulqie's Reiatsu freakin' FORCES everyone who can sense it to be sad! What the Hell?! How is that a useful power--
Wiz: A stop ranting and B demoralization is a battle tactic. Ulquiorra's Luz de la Luna become the Lanza del Relámpago, one of which obliterated ALL OF LOS NOCHES! In fact, just entering his Second Release was powerful enough to shake Hueco Mundo. Ulquiorra also gains a tail which he can use as a whip.
Boomstick: Yeah, he went into this form after Ichigo refused to give up. Ulqie's not perfect, though. He himself keeps saying that he's 'Only Number Four' when he NUKED A COUNTRY-SIZED CITY! He also thinks that if he can't see it, it doesn't exist. He wanted to, get this, BLAST OPEN ORIHIME'S CHEST because he wanted to know what emotions, or 'heart', is. Dude, just ASK her! That is the most extreme case of taking something literally I've ever seen!
Wiz: Ulquiorra cannot regenerate any of his organs but his eyes, and doesn't actually fight for anything. He just does whatever Aizen tells him to do.
Boomstick: So basically Selim Bradley from FMAB?
Wiz: Sure? In Ulquiorra's final moments, he reached out to Orihime, finally gaining a heart. He had now known the one thing he believed to not exist...emotions.
Boomstick: Let's not pull that please!
Ulquiorra: Even if you rise up a thousand times, there will be no victory for any of you.
Kaede[]
(Cue: Lilium)
Boomstick: This chick again? Why can't we just research another Uchiha?
Wiz: Don't tell me you're scared Boomstick. Anyways, let's get started with the analysis. First to understand what's going on. The year is 299X, Humanity is competeing with a race of mutants called the Diclonae. One Diclonius was destined to be their queen.
Boomstick: And her name is...Kaede? Lucy?...Nya?
*LEGO Ninjago Themed Plays Briefly*
Wiz: Nyu. Anyways, Kaede was sent to an orphanage when she was abandoned by her parents.
Boomstick: Wait, wait, wait...they just ABANONDONED THEIR QUEEN?!
Wiz: ...At this orphanage, Kaede would be bullied for her horns and called...Ox.
Boomstick: What the--? She looks nothing like those cow ripoffs!

Wiz: Ugh! For the last time...(Sighs)...heugh. Bullies don't care if what they're saying is right. They just want attention. Anyways, Kaede decided to take care of a puppy she had found one day, and...
Boomstick: The bullies, being demons, I guess, murdered! Kaede's! Puppy! RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!!! NO ONE KILLS PUPPIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wiz: CALM DOWN, BOOMSTICK! The bullies, got what no one deserves--(Boomstick snorts in disbelief)--and this is what set Kaede on a path of darkness to kill...everyone.
Boomstick: Except this boy named Kouta, who knew that comparing your classmate to a bison thing was outlandish and made no logical sense. Basically her only friend in that place.
Wiz: Kaede would be captured by an organization bent on world domination, and...kill them all. Then, she was shot in the head. This created one of her wo alternate personalities, Nyu. While Lucy is the incarnation of Kaede's wrath and sadism, Nyu is the incarnation of Kaede's compassion and fear.
Boomstick: There's also technically DNA Voice, but no one really cares. It was just bossing Kaede around alot, which Kaede...completely ignored. GET WRECKED, CONSCIENCE!
Wiz: ...As a Diclonius, Kaede is able to shape her Psychic Aura into appendages called Vectors. These are what the Diclonae use to spread the Diclonius Virus, as well as combat. In their weakest state, a Low Frequency state, the Vectors can pass through solid objects with no effect.
Boomstick: A Medium Frequency turns the Vectors into hands that can throw giant boulders and break people's necks!
Wiz: A High Frequency shapes the Vectors into something akin to swords sharp enough to cut organic tissue and metal.
Boomstick: And at her last and highest frequency, Kaede can nuke islands, the world, and...well, basically whatever she wants.
Wiz: For a note, Nyu is more than likely capable of using the Vectors, as she is an alternate personality of Kaede, and not a completely seperate organic being.
Boomstick: Kaede is a pretty good shot, can manipulate phones?, and has a nifty healing factor that's saved her from fatal wounds before...even when she didn't want it to.
Wiz: Kaede's Vectors have impressive range. There are usually 24, with a range of 7 feet normally, and depending on the continuity, that sprout from Kaede's back or just...nowhere, I guess.
Boomstick: Man, psychic powers are really, REALLY confusing!
Wiz: However, Kaede does share some weaknesses. Lucy tends to be sadistic while Nyu is likely to spare her opponent, both of which can lead to complcations against someone who can exploit that. As far as physical weaknesses go, if a Diclonius cannot focus, they cannot use their Vectors. They're powers can be nullified if struck in the forehead or robbed of their horns. And vibrating the Vectors at an Extreme Frequency has the 'Murasama Effect' of destabilizing the atomic bonds of the vibrator, causing Kaede to...melt.
Boomstick: But even as a puddle, Kaede still managed to break apart the Earth, reach into space in 20 seconds flat, and destroy an evil organization! Pretty impressive for a puddle.
Wiz: In the act of dying, Kaede's last memories were of Kouta, the person she cherished most.
Boomstick: This is why I didn't wanna talk about Anime emos, (Sniffles) their deaths make me cry.
Kaede: Aren't we all monsters on the inside?
Pre-Death Battle[]
(Cue: Wiz and Boomstick)
Wiz: Alright, the combatants are set. We've run the data through all possibilities. Let's end this debate once and for all!
Boomstick: It's time for a DEATH BATTLE!
Death Battle[]
Prelude...[]
(Cue: Silent Shadows)
A girl was walking through a park, looking a bit down. She had red eyes, pink hair, and was wearing a hot-pink goth dress. She seemed extremely pale, and had two cat ear-esque horns poking out from beneath her hair.
This is Kaede, or rather, Lucy.
Lucy had gotten split up from the others during that fight earlier today, between the man in white and the one in black. She should have killed them both, but she was forced to watch as Nyu made a mockery of Kaede by running a marathon in the opposite direction.
Suddenly, Lucy hears footsteps behind her and turns around, seeing a man with blue hair standing there. Grimmjaw grins and runs to try and break Lucy's neck, but she cuts his arm off and punches him into the distance. Where did he land?
In Los Noches, of course.
Aizen was seated and speaking with the other Espada when Grimmjow crashes through the roof and groans. "Ow..." Grimmjaw complains. "What did you discover on your recon mission?" Aizen asks. "Did you find the Shinigami?" "No," Grimmjaw answers. " just some fuschia girl who hit me with something I couldn't see." Aizen seems mildly shocked, before turning to his Espada. "This girl could be a complication. Whoever is willing, believes they have the power...neutralize her threat." Aizen orders.
Lucy was bowing her head down whule sitting on the bench. It looked like she was mildly crying, worried about Kouta. Suddenly, space-time begins to curve. "Huh...?" Lucy whispers, seeing a square open up out of nothingness. The square enlongates and grows into a rectangular portal, and a somewhat short male being walks out. He had pure-white skin, green, reptilian eyes, tear-like marks under his eyes, somewhat messy black hair, and a bony helmet-like growth on his head. He was wearing a white trenchcoat which looked near-identical to the one the person from before was wearing.
"Are you the one who cut Grimmjaw?" Ulquiorra Cifer asks in a flat tone. Lucy thinks for a moment, and realizes Grimmjaw must have been the blue-haired human who attacked her. "I killed the worthless human." Lucy answers, earning slight annoyance in Ulquiorra's eyes. "We are not any more human than you are." The Arrancar replies with the same cold, flat tone. Lucy growls and sees clearly that her new opponent is not human, not with those eyes, not with the odd hole in his neck. Lucy begins sprouting her Vectors, ready to fight this being, whoever he was. Ulquiorra detects the Vectors and sighs, taking one hand out of his pockets.
Fight![]
(Cue: Avalon)
Lucy sends a Vector to punch Ulquiorra in the face, but the Arrancar blocks with his arm, deflecting the Vector. Lucy is shocked, this being deflected a Vector with his bare hand! (What are you...?) Lucy questions in her mind before sending more Vectors to attack Ulquiorra, who deflects each and every last one of them with almost no effort. "Aizen-sama considers you a threat. As such..." Ulquiorra prepares to fire Bala at Lucy, who uses a Vector to block the attack before raising her frequency to slash at Ulquiorra, cutting his sleeve, but not his skin. (How is he so strong?!) Lucy mentlally screams.
Lucy sends her Vectors to slash Ulquiorra more and more, Ulquiorra blocking every single Vector with ease. His right sleeve is now nothing but ribbon, and visible depressions are beginning to form on the Arrancar's arm from the onslaught. "Gu..." Ulquiorra midly exclaims before rushing behind Lucy and whacking her into a lamp post. "Ugh!" Lucy growls, getting back up to see Ulquiorra about to punch her again. Lucy blocks with a Vector shield and then thrusts it outwards to slash at Ulquiorra, cutting his robes even more, but not even cutting open his skin. Ulquiorra starts brushing off dust and points his now sleeveless arm at Lucy, firing a Cero from his finger.
"Wha--?!" Lucy shouts before just barely dodging the attack, which manages to burn a bit of her hair. Lucy sees Ulquiorra standing there with the same cold expression as before. "Simply allowing me to end you will make this all easier." Ulquiorra says before rushing to unleash a combo of punches and kicks on Lucy, who slashes Ulquiorra in retalliation. Ulquiorra leaps back and a slashmark on his sleeveless arm finally starts bleeding. "You managed to damage my body..." Ulquiorra remarks to himself. Lucy sends more Vectors at Ulquiorra, who dodges them all, getting trees and benches and lamp posts cut even further, the animals' terrified...animal noises populating the previously quiet night.
"Leave or die." Lucy demands, earning a confused response from Ulquiorra. "You are...threatening me...?" Ulquiorra half-asks, half-remarks before flying down to glare at Lucy in a stone-cold, soul-piercing gaze. "Guh!" Lucy exclaims when seeing the glare, before returning to her own cold glare, determined not to show her opponent fear, and remember that soon he will be nothing more than a puddle of blood. But at that thought, she remembers promising to Kouta that she would no longer kill. Ulquiorra notices this hesitation. "Why are you not attacking me?" Ulquiorra asks, which brings Lucy back to reality before she unleashes another barrage of Vectors, slashing at Ulquiorra and near-destroying his robes, as well has making blood spurt out of his unsleeved arm.
"Once I destroy you, your little minions will be easier to make scream." Lucy says, a small evil smile appearing on her face. Ulquiorra looks a bit surprised, and opens his cloak, revealing the number 4 on his chest. "I am merely the Cuatro Espada, Ulquiorra Cifer. My power is nothing compared to my peers." Ulquiorra says, earning the classic anime shocked expression from Lucy. Ulquiorra places his hand on Murcielago, and unsheathes it, before running to slash at Lucy, who clashes with a Vector with an angered and surprised expression on her face, while Ulquiorra has the same expression as before. How was only she frustrated? This 'Ulquiorra Cifer' couldn't even touch her. Lucy then slashes at Ulquiorra again to send him back, but by now his wounds have healed and he points his sword forwards. "Confine, Murcielago!" Ulquiorra shouts, growing two black wings, fixing his robes while also seemingly fusing them into his body, and reshaping the remains of his Hollow Mask into a horned helmet which left his face, now further covered by the Arrancar's longer hair and larger tearmarks, visible.
This is Resurreccion, and his mere presence created green rain around them.
(Cue: Bleach: Brave Souls-Ulquiorra's Theme)
"How did you--" Lucy starts, before being interrupted by Ulquiorra. "As an Espada, I can access a special Release." Ulquiorra says before flying to slash at Lucy, who just barely blocks and slashes at the Arrancar, who takes seemingly no damage, before kicking Lucy into a dumpster, bending it with ease. Ulquiorra sees Lucy motionless and walks to decapitate her, but she ducks and starts running away as fast as her legs will carry her. Ulquiorra rushes in front of Nyu and glares into her eyes, seeing a completely different person behind them. "You're like..." Ulquiorra trails off as he attempts to slash Nyu again, but Nyu dodges again with a frightened squeal.
"Don't hurt me! Please!" Nyu wails, beginning to cry out of fear. Ulquiorra still looks indifferent, but confused. (Is she no longer a threat...?) The Arrancar ponders in his mind before slashing at Nyu again, but Nyu manages to block with a Vector and back away, still terrified. Nyu sees the Vectors and thrusts her arms forward to try and send them at Ulquiorra, who is still unaffected. In fact, the Vectors were passing through him! "How did they...?" Ulquiorra questions before slashing at Nyu again. Nyu squeals and grabs a Vector to try and block, but is too slow, and gets a gash on her arm, which starts spurting blood.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Nyu screams, tears pouring down her face from the pain. Ulquiorra sighs. "You should simply surrender, and allow me to end this quickly." The Arrancar says in a reasoning voice. But Nyu is too in pain to hear, and starts instinctively slashing and stabbing Ulquiorra with the Vectors, which harmlessly bounce off his robes like plunger arrows. Ulquiorra shakes his head and rushes behind Nyu before kicking her into a tree, splitting it down the middle. The rain thickens, and a dreary feel begins creeping around. Nyu gets up and, eyes still filled with tears, glares at Ulquiorra with the most terrifying face she can muster. Ulquiorra sighs.
"Why do you not give up?" Ulquiorra asks. "Why continue to fight in this state? There is nothing you will gain from winning this. I know because there is nothing I will gain from winning this." Nyu continues to glare at Ulquiorra, and seems enraged. "I won't kill you, but I won't l-lose! I am going to--" "You really are foolish, Diclonius." Ulquiorra says, cutting Nyu off. "You face a being you tremble before, and claim that you fight because you wish to protect those you care for? You remind me of Ichigo Kurosaki. You both say that this 'heart' will aid you in your path to victory. But isn't it obvious? It is this 'heart' that causes tragedy, this 'heart' that cuases you to lose your lives. You have not yet known 'True Despair'. I will show it to you, in it's purest, most ancient form."
At these words, Ulquiorra's clothing vanishes entirely, revealing his entire lower half covered in fur, black blood-like liquid dripping from his enlarged Hollow Hole, claws on his hands and feet, and in the place of his Hollow Mask, two bat ear-esque horns potruding from his cranium. He also had a tail. He had become Resurreccion: Segunda Etapa. Nyu began feeling extremely sad, hopeless and miserable. "Now you can see what it feels like to be me." Ulquiorra says...promting Lucy to glare up at him, with horns enlongated. Lucy glares at the Arrancar with glowing red eyes, gritting her teeth. "I am...going to kill you...Ulquiorra Cifer!" Lucy snarls. Ulquiorra just stares on. "Alright, then..." The Arrancar replies.
(Cue: Ultimate Battle-DBS)
Lucy slashes at Ulquiorra's arm at surprising speeds, cutting it off. Ulquiorra looks at the stump that used to be his arm and regens. "What?!" Lucy shouts. Lucy slashes at Ulquiorra more and more, but it now does nothing to him, as the air around them becomes ever more hopeless. Ulquiorra flies behind Lucy and fires Cero Oscorus at her. Lucy blocks the attack, causing it to explode, which smashes her into a disintegrating skyscraper. Ulquiorra forces Lucy through and whips her with his tail multiple times over before grabbing her, scratching her face, and throwing her into a bruning tree. Lucy gets up and glares at the Batlike Arrancar.
"Just die!" The Diclonius Queen screams, sending more and more Vectors at Ulquiorra and slashing him, but none of them pierce through his Reiatsu, as Ulquiorra appears behind Lucy and whacks her with an energy spear--the Lanza del Relempago! "I have no say in that." Ulquiorra finally responds before throwing the Lanza del Relempago at Lucy, who dodges. The javelin hits somewhere off-map, and creates a massive green explosion which dwarfs the city they're in when it came to both size and power. The blast wave reaches the city and begins to vaporize it, as Ulquiorra appears behind Lucy and kicks her into a plane.
Lucy growls and gets up, seeing Ulquiorra already catching up to the plane, as his sheer Reitsu begins destroying it and creating a thunderstorm around them. Ulquiorra rushes at Lucy with another Lanza del Relempago, which Lucy just barely blocks with one Vector, but Ulquiorra leaps back as it explodes, vaporizing the plane and destroying Lucy's Vectors. Lucy regrows her Vectors to stop falling and sees Ulquiorra flying there and looking at her, as stone-faced as ever. "I CAN DESTROY HIM! ALLOW ME TO!" DNA Voice screams, but Lucy ignores it and slashes at Ulquiorra again, with the exact same effect.
"Why do you continue to insist? There's nothing more you can do. In fact, I am disappointed." Ulquiorra says. Lucy screams in rage and attempts to raise her Vectors' frequency even higher...and her hand melts off! "No!" Lucy shrieks. "Not now!" Ulquiorra appears behind the Diclonius and drives another Lanza del Relempago through her stomach before roundhouse-kicking her back down into what's left of the city. Lucy slowly struggles to get up, blood running down her face. She had stopped melting, which meant Ulquiorra must've knocked her out of the Extreme Frequency. She turns around to see Ulquiorra land there, slowly reverting to his base form, with his original eyes.
"DIE!" Lucy shrieks in rage, commanding her Vectors to slash at the now-wingless Ulquiorra, as his robes began to reform...but nothing happened. The Vectors had vanished. "Ugh! No!" Lucy yells at the top of her lungs, which makes her start coughing blood from her injuries. "...Why are you not attacking me?" Ulquiorra, now completely back to normal, asks, genuinely confused. For the first time in this fightm he expresses emotion, raising one eyebrow due to not being in pieces. He sees--and Lucy sees--that one of Lucy's horns had broken off! "No..." Lucy whimpers, crumpling to the ground and beginning to cry. "What...is this...?" Ulquiorra questions, walking closer to Lucy with Murcielago in his hand.
"Don't do it!"
Ulquiorra turns to see Kouta standing there, beginning to cry. "How are you able to..." Ulquiorra begins to ask, but the Arrancar sees himself covered in blood and dust, making him visible to everyone. Ulquiorra sighs. "The point I preach is proven further. It is because of this 'Heart' that you humans will never defeat the Epsada." Ulquiorra says, before cutting a gash across Lucy's stomach, letting even more blood out and causing the Diclonius to pass out completely. Ulquiorra opens up a Garganta and begins to walk through it as it closes. Kouta crouches down to Lucy and tries to heal her, crying.
K.O.![]
"Did you do it?" Aizen asks when Ulquiorra returns to his seat. "Yes, Sama. She was never much of a threat from what I could gather." Ulquiorra answers, earning a jealous snort from Grimmjaw, who Aizen had cast out of the Espada and tied to the wall for his incompentence. "Good..." Aizen says finally. "...then we won't have to worry about her disrupting our plans."
Explanation[]
(Cue: Fade to Black)
Boomstick: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wiz: This was a very interesting battle that could've gone on for ages, but Ulquiorra had what it took to kill--
Boomstick: My serial killer waifu!
Wiz: -_-
Boomstick: W-what...?
Wiz: Can you please not interrupt me when I am trying to explain the victor? First off is sheer strength. By highballing both characters, we can get Ulquiorra and Lucy to planetary. However, by going by lesser but better-known feats, Lucy only destroyed a small prison island with a punch while Ulquiorra destroyed a city the size of California...by entering his Second Release.
Boomstick: I'm willing to admit Ulquiorra's faster. Base Ulquiorra scales to Ichigo's weaker forms, who are casual lightning-timers. That's 33% faster than Lucy is in her strongest form!
