K: Water, Earth, Fire and air. The 4 elements that bring peace and make badass fights especially in the anime world
J: However, today we are going to only talk about on-
K: But everything changed when the fire nation attacked.
J: YAKAMASHII!!!
K: Damn (falls down due to the force of the scream)
J: (ahem) Water, it can be used for many things from watering grandma's plants or basic hydration
K: (gets up) But these two murder with it
J: Tobirama Senju the water master and second Hokage of the leaf Village
K: And Giyu Tomioka, the water Hashira from Demon Slayer
K: I'm Kai and she's Jen
J: And it's our job to analyse their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win in a battle to the death
Tobirama Senju[]
(Cue Hashirama Theme Song)
J: Long before The Leaf Village was a daydream, there were two clans that rivaled eachother in power, the Senju and the Uchiha.
K: Yeah, these two badass clans fought to the death in a seemingly never ending war
J: The Senju clan leader had 4 sons and the Uchiha clan leader had 5 sons but only 2 of each clan really mattered
K: Poor kids, anyways Hashirama and Tobirama were the two eldest sons of Butsuma Senju and like his father lil' Tobi fought for the senju clan pride
J: Although their elder brothers wanted peace until Madara awakened his sharingan and became kind of a dick
K: The war continued with Hashirama fighting Madara and lil' Tobi fighting Izuna Uchiha
J: Tobirama excelled in water style ranged jutsus however he's no pushover when it comes to close quarters battle
K: Yeah Tobirama was a really good fighter even as a kid but as an adult he's even better as he gained the title of Hokage by his brother himself
J: That's right, Tobirama fought and killed plenty of Uchiha grown up ninjas as a kid and that's saying something
K: He's got a large chakra reserve and sometimes it'll take a WHOLE DAY for him to recover it all
J: And when it comes to arsenal he's got plenty of techniques and weapons in his sleeve
K: He has superhuman strength and speed, accelerated healing and Yin and Yang chakra styles
J: He can make water dragons, water bombs, a giant vortex which he can control to go anywhere, launch projectiles from underwater, water walls and launch a high pressured water beam powerful enough to cut through the roots of the God Tree with ease. To further explain, when the anime or manga zoomed out to see the full view of the God Tree, it also showed the curvature of Earth and to see the curvature of Earth you have to be at least 35,000 feet tall or 10,600 metres. he can also detect and disperse Genjutsu
K: Yeah, the God Tree was really big and was also made out of wood since it was a tree so Tobirama had to make that water jet stronger than 60,000 psi which is the necessary force to cut a tree 5 inches thick, and did we mention that Tobirama has a Genjutsu of his own? It's called "Bringer of Darkness" and it allows the target to see nothing but pitch black in a radius of 10 metres.
J: He can also create a water drill and use the Shadow Clone Jutsu
K: Yeah, remember when kid Naruto performed the shadow clones? Well guess what, Tobirama was the one who invented it! But that's not even his final weapon (heh)
J: The flying Raijin or Flying Thunder God is a technique that allows the user to travel instantly to where he wants, however he has to leave a mark where he wants to teleport or else the flying Raijin is completely useless.
K: It can be used in battle as well, and the mark stays forever so if you have the misfortune of getting marked by Tobirama you beter watch your back
"Grown-ups are idiots. If they really want to bring an end to this endless fighting, they need to sit down with one another and reach a truce…"
(The doors close ending Tobirama's bio and moving to Gyuu's)
Giyu Tomioka[]
J: The Demon Slayer Corps. have a bunch of different slayers, from Tanjiro to everyone's favorite boar Inosuke
K: However the Hashiras are the best of the best
J: Giyu Tomioka, the water Hashira of the Demon slayer Corps.
K: Being a part Demon Slayer means that Giyu also has the Demon Slayer Mark, which is like a Super Saiyan for Demon Slayers
J: Well, it does multiply his strength, speed and defenses but his hair color does not change
K: Who cares? It's awesome when he uses it
J: It actually is not gonna lie
K: He's capable of survivng building destroying combos and with the demon slayer mark he can suvive an explosion that can destroy a city block, to destroy an average building he woud have to survive at least 50 kN and to destroy an average city block he would have to survive at least 99 tons of tnt with the demon slayer Mark
J: And just like Tobirama, Giyu has a wide arsenal of weapons and skills
K: Which involve murdering demons with water
J: Exactly, he has superhuman strength and speed, weapon mastery, martial arts, knows pressure points since he knocked out Nezuko with one chop to her neck, regeneration, with his breathing he can stop even hemorrhages, he can absorb sunlight, with his Dragon of Change he can amplify his strength with each strike, regeneration negation, he can sense moves and don't piss him off or else he gets sronger
K: With a arsenal like that how do Demons not run when they hear his footsteps?
J: But wait, there's more. His demon corps garb protects him from water, fire and cold
K: Wait, really, Imma ask granny to make me one of those
J: He can also survive in places with low air and is faster than Zenitsu who can move faster than lightning
K: Zenitsu's best speed feat was when he crossed a room before lightning could reach him, keep in mind that a lightning strike moves at 270,000 mph
J: Don't forget that Giyu could catch up to Shinobu, and tied up Inosuke without him even noticing
K: His strength is comparable to Tanjiro's who could push a whole ass boulder now since Tanjiro is 5'5 and the boulder is taller than him, I'd say that the boulder is 5'9 and 12 inches large so, Tanjiro pushed 20 pounds of boulder. That's really heavy
J: He also has a full arsenal with his breathing style-
K: You keep mentioning breathing, do these guys work with Hamon?
J: Breathing and Hamon are different things however at the same time they are equal
K: How so? I mean both Jonathan and Giyu kill monsters with sunlight energy
J: Giyu kills Demons with his sword in which absorbs sunlight, Jonathan on the other hand kills zombies with his fists
K: But both have a sword
J: Yeah but Giyu's sword absorbs sunlight dring the day to kill demons, Jonathan's luck/pluck sword has hamon because Jonathan himself infused the sword with his Hamon
K: Oh now I get it!
J: Also breathing only has a elemental effect while Hamon can turn even cooked pasta into a deadly weapon
K: Interesting, I need a Zeppeli in my life
J: Good luck finding one... Anyways, just like Tobirama, Giyu's breathing allows him to turn even a whirlpool into a slashing aqua tornado. He has:
- First Style: Water Surface Slice: A single concentrated slash
- Second Style: Water Wheel: Giyu jumps and spins his body while slashing.
- Third Style: Dance of the Rapid Current: Giyu swings his blade at his opponent in a way that mimics the movement of waves on the surface of water.
- Fourth Style: Striking Tide: The swordsman makes multiple consecutive slashes while twisting their body in a flowing fashion similar to a harsh tide.
- Fifth Style: The Merciful Rain of a Dry Day: A "sword strike of kindness" that kills the target with little to no pain. Used when the enemy surrenders.
- Sixth Style: Twisting Whirpool: Giyu fiercely twists his upper and lower body, which creates a whirlpool that cuts anything caught in it.
- Seventh Style: Piercing Rain Drop: A swift and accurate stab. The fastest Breath of Water technique.
- Eight Style: Waterfall Jar: Giyu cuts the target vertically.
- Ninth Style: Water Splash: Minimizes the landing time and surface needed when landing, allowing the user to move without limits. Ideal when fighting in a place with no solid foothold.
- Tenth Style: The Dragon of Change: A continuous attack that increases in power with each rotation, creating a strong slash.
- Eleventh Style: Lull: A technique that was created by Giyu himself. He engages a skill that disables and nullifies incoming attacks. However, its effectiveness is limited as fast, and numerous attacks can break through.
K: Wow, he's packing heat- I mean water? This is confusing
J: (Heavy sigh) And I think that's all for Giyu
"She must've been craving a feast right from the start, even her own brother. But she protected him and turned her attention to me. I wonder if... just maybe... these two are different."
(The doors close from Giyu's bio and move to the battle)
Pre-Battle[]
J: Alright, we've ran through the data of these calm and collected fighters
K: It's time for a wet- I mean Death Battleeeee
Fight![]
This fight occurs in Konoha with Giyu teleporting there and killing Leaf Shinobi, this is still the time where Hashirama was the Hokage so he sent his young brother to see what was going on.
Tobirama reached the woods just to see Giyu fighting some Shinobi, Tobirama ordered them to step aside and let him handle the young demon slayer
Giyu: Sorry old man, I don't have time to waste, I need to get out of here.
Tobirama: The only way you'll get out of here is with my blade in your head
Giyu: Your choice
FIGHT!
Tobirama begins to charge at Giyu with a kunai, which Giyu blocks with his sword. Then Tobitama trips Giyu and throws a kick in which Giyu had to tank sending him towards a tree. Giyu gets up and says: I may have to get serious with you, or else this may get dangerous.
Tobirama: What's wrong? Cowering already?
Giyu: I'm just getting started. First style
Giyu launches at Tobirama which doesn't have time to react so the Future Hokage gets a cut to the chest
Tobirama: Alright then kid, in that case... Tobirama then releases his chakra making Giyu take a few steps back
(Cue *Naruto ost Sarutobi's theme*)
Tobirama begins to unleash a flurry of attacks at Giyu, he blocks a few but Tobirama could get a few hits. Giyu then tries to stab Tobirama but he jumps and puts a Flying Thunder God mark on Giyu's Jacket
Tobirama (thinking): Perfect!
Tobirama then takes a few flips back and proceeds to do the hand signs to unleash his Water Dragon Jutsu, in which Giyu blocks with his sword but Tobirama expecting that, uses the Flying Raijin Slice on Giyu's back.
Giyu grabs his sword and attacks Tobirama head first, they both clash their blades but Tobirama seems to have the slight advantage on speed and strength. Giyu uses the Second Style to escape, then he uses the Third Style to attack Tobirama once again but Tobirama just throws a bunch of kunais forcing Giyu to attack them instead. Now Tobirama uses the Shadow Clone Jutsu and the clones begin to attack Giyu while Tobirama prepares the Heavenly Weeping, Giyu kills two of the three clones but Tobirama already has the jutsu ready and fires while Giyu kills the last clone
The jutsu hits Giyu on the back but he seems only slightly hurt by it
Tobirama: What? How?
Giyu: My Jacket makes me immune to water, fire and temperature changes. If water is the only thing you can do then you're finished.
Tobirama: Then I'll just have to beat the shit out of you
Giyu: Good luck
The two of them begin to clash blades until Giyu uses the Fourth Style and tries to stab Tobirama point blank but Tobirama dodges it with the Flying Raijin and kicks him in the ribs sending him flying through some trees
Giyu: Man he's strong, I'll have to finish this no-
Tobirama interrupts him with his Bringer of Darkness technique and Giyu goes blind
Giyu: What's happening? Where am I?
Tobirama: You're within my Bringer of Darkness technique, although limited it doesn't let you see anything but pitch black. Hope you're ready because you're about to feel a world of incredible pain
Tobirama then uses the Flying Raijin Slice repeatedly on Giyu, leaving him on his knees
Giyu: Looks like I'l have to use it, the Demon Slayer Mark
Tobirama: The what?
Giyu unleashes his Demon Slayer Mark and the Genjutsu comes to an end
Giyu: Now I'm angry, and when I'm angry, my opponents tend to die
Tobirama: Prove it kid
Giyu uses the Tenth Style and strikes Tobirama leaving him with multiple injuries all over his body, Tobirama then uses the Flying Raijin to try and take out Giyu's jacket but it was in vain. Giyu uses the Eleventh Style
Giyu: It's over
Tobirama: Heh, take a good look at yourself, I wasn't trying to take off your stupid jacket
Giyu then looks at his jacket and sees that it's full of paper bombs, and when Tobirama tries to explode them Giyu takes off the jacket and thrws it in the air
Giyu: That was close old man, but you should get back to- huh? Where is he?
Tobirama rushes behind him and does a flurry of attacks still sending Giyu back, then Tobirama launches his Water Severing Wave and cuts off Giyu's left arm. Giyu has had enough and breaks Tobirama's sword with his Eight Style then both go for a final attack, they both go past eachother but Tobirama seems to be on his knees.
Giyu goes for the kill but then all he hears is the sound similar to a snake's, Tobirama smirks and next thing we hear is Giyu screaming and a big explosion
Tobirama: Don't fool yourself kid, you could never defeat me.
K.O
Explanation[]
: Kinda feel bad for Giyu there.
J: Both Tobirama and Giyu were amazing close querters fighters, however Tobirama had the most advantages over Giyu.
K: Yeah, Giyu was faster than Zenitsu and he could move faster than lightning. But Tobirama was way faster than that!
J: As fast as Giyu was, he was only Massively Hypersonic+ but Tobirama's speed was Relativistic making Tobirama at least 4,960x faster than Giyu
K: But couldn't Giyu's Eleventh Style block all of Tobirama's attacks? Melee or ranged?
J: Yes and no, while it's true that Giyu's Eleventh Style could block all of Tobirama's attacks, it's extremely limited and fast also if Tobirama launched numerous Water Dragons it could eventually break through
K: How about his Demon Slayer Mark? As far as I can tell, Tobirama has no transformation unlike his big brother Hashirama.
J: Well that's what threw me off, even with his Demon Slayer Mark, Giyu can't reach Tobirama in either attack or defense.
K: SAY WHAT?
J: Yeah, as strong as the Demon Slayer Mark makes him, Giyu couldn't harm Tobirama enough to actually kill him.
K: Tobirama was training his techniques and killing Uchihas since he was a kid, naturally he would have more fighting experience than Giyu ever had. Even if you bring speed up again, don't forget that Tobirama dodged a point blank attack from Rinne-Rebirth Madara and teleported a ready-to-explode Truth Seeking Ball back to Obito before Minato, Naruto and Sasuke could even react, that's waaaay faster than Giyu or Zenitsu ever were, even Tanjiro's boulder feat wasn't as impressive as it sounds because Tobirama could keep up with the likes of MS Izuna... Who was as strong as MS Madara.
J: Giyu may have been a powerful opponent but Tobirama was just faster, stronger and had more fighting experience for him to keep up
K: Looks like Senju Tobi-Rammed Giyu underwater
J: Why do I even try... The winner is Tobirama Senju
