History 

Mortimer Toynbee was abandoned by his parents so early on that he couldn't remember what they looked like, after being sent to an orphanage he was mocked and regarded as a freak because of his ugliness and his unusual physique, all of which stemmed from his mutant abilities, eventually kicked from the orphanage he was found by Magneto, leader of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, who took him in and began teaching him how to harness his powers to defend Mutant kind.
