Wiz: Tighten, Megamind's failed hero-turned villain.
Boomstick: Brightburn, the psycho kid bent on world domination
Wiz: Two years ago, we pondered the question: What if Superman chose absolute power over truth and justice? This time, we ask: What if his powers went to those who didn't deserve them?
Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out, who would win a Death Battle.
Tighten[]
Wiz: Welcome to Metro City; at first glance, it doesn't appear any different from your typical big city, but once inside, you'll find it's abundant in profound strength and everlasting prosperity. That's all thanks to one man.
Boomstick: Metro Man! The city's titular heartthrob superhero! He is renowned for his powers, good looks, and majestic voice brought to you by Brad Pitt.
Wiz: Tone it down Boomstick. Metro Man protected the city for decades, keeping its citizens safe from the evil genius Megamind.
Boomstick: Their rivalry was fierce, and their battles were legendary. Whenever Megamind seemed to win, Metro Man would always swoop in with the victory. As long as Metro Man was around, the city never had to worry about evil coming out on top.
Wiz: Life was perfect, until one day, Metro Man died...
Boomstick: [Audibly sniffing and crying]
Wiz: Uhhh Boomstick? Are you crying?
Boomstick: [Sputtering] Y-yeah [Sniffs]
Wiz: You do realize Metro Man didn't die, right? He's still alive and well; he just faked his death to settle down and pursue a music career.
Boomstick: Yeah, I know, Wiz. It's just that he was so cool. Seeing him leave and retire like that just crushes my soul. Wiz, even Daddy Boomstick didn't hurt me that bad! [Starts bawling again and blows into a tissue]
Wiz: Anyway, with Metro Man gone, the entire city was silent. No one expected Megamind to succeed for once, not even the latter himself. With Megamind at the city's helm, everyone's lives were filled with fear and utmost despair. Anxiously awaiting the diabolical schemes he had planned for them.
Boomstick: To their surprise, he initially had none, but with the city as your oyster, it took him only a short time to completely dump the place. He'd throw money bag pillow fights, wrecked cars in a large-scale game of darts, vandalized all the finest works of art, but worst of all, he turned the City Hall's roof blue!
Wiz: But with all this newfound freedom, Megamind eventually grew bored and depressed. He felt his life had lost all purpose, and he had no good to oppose his evil.
Boomstick: One night, Megamind had an epiphany that would make his life whole again. He'd make a new hero, someone to give his life excitement again, someone to be the yin to his yang and the hangover to his drunk.
Wiz: By analyzing specks of dandruff in Metro Man's cape, Megamind was able to perfectly replicate Metro Man's powers and condense them into a single pill. With his catalyst ready, all he needed now was a worthy subject. To replace Metro Man, he needed someone with peak physical fitness, stunning charisma, and a heart yearning for truth, justice, and the American way. [Wiz stands proudly with a hand over his heart while the instrumental for the US national anthem quietly plays]
(Cue: Record Scratch Sound Effect)
Boomstick: Except, that's not what happened.
Wiz: Minion couldn't have said it better: The man Megamind's pill had entered was none other than Hal Stewart.
Boomstick: Hal who now?

The connections between Tighten and Brightburn are that they're psychotic, immature, red-clad megalomaniacs who mirror Superman.
- Speaking of the latter, both Tighten and Brightburn have near-identical superpowers such as Super Strength, Speed, Flight, Invulnerability, and Heat Vision, the latter being a specialty for both combatants.
- They also have exclusive powers as well, with Tighten possessing Enhanced Senses and Brightburn possessing Technology Manipulation respectively
- Both have creepy fixations towards women (With Tighten having an obsessive crush on his co-worker Roxanne Ritchie, while Brightburn experienced compulsive feelings for his classmate Caitlyn respectively.)
- Both would also stalk and harm these individuals once their superpowers came to fruition (With Tighten often watching Roxanne from afar with his telescopic vision. He'd later kidnap her for their "first date". However, when Roxanne showed no feelings for him, he then attempted to kill her several times, such as toppling a skyscraper he binded her to, and later kicking a bus at her. Brightburn on the other hand, snuck into Caitlyn's room while she was trying to sleep. Once she discovered him in her room, she became scared and disgusted of his behavior. Enraged, Brightburn would then crush her hand the next time they met at school)
- Coincidentally, both Tighten and Brightburn didn't start doing evil until they were rejected by their crushes
- Both would also stalk and harm these individuals once their superpowers came to fruition (With Tighten often watching Roxanne from afar with his telescopic vision. He'd later kidnap her for their "first date". However, when Roxanne showed no feelings for him, he then attempted to kill her several times, such as toppling a skyscraper he binded her to, and later kicking a bus at her. - Both branded large areas with their heat vision (With Tighten burning through several city blocks to spell "Tightenville" and Brightburn burning his symbol across an entire field respectively)
- Both named themselves after the settlements they live in (With Tighten naming himself after "Tightenville", a title he gave to Metro City after briefly conquering it. Meanwhile Brightburn named himself after the Kansas town with the same name respectively)
- Both exhibit psychopathic tendencies. Tighten and Brightburn hold a strong desire for power over others, they think highly of themselves, lack remorse for any of their actions, and are prone to violent/emotional outbursts when things don't go their way.
- Similarities aside, Tighten and Brightburn have completely different fighting styles. Tighten is a brawler who fights directly, while Brightburn on the other hand is a sadistic stalker, who values stealth, where he'll toy with his targets before killing them upfront.
- While this is indirect, both of their series would get screwed over in 2024 (With Megamind receiving a poorly received sequel titled 'Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate' followed by a TV Series 'Megamind Rules!' respectively. Brightburn was originally going to get a sequel earlier this year, but there were rumors about the script being A.I. written. Then James Gunn, the first film's producer, stated that the sequel was officially canceled and that Brightburn was better off as a one-and-done film rather than a series.)
