History[]
Todd Arliss was an Olympic swimmer who suffered spinal cord damage when he tried to save a man from drowning. Desperate to be able to swim again, he volunteered for genetic augmentations from Dr. Lemuel Dorcas, who blended Todd's DNA with Namor the Sub-Mariner's and a tiger shark. The result drove Todd to feral insanity as the supervillain known as Tiger Shark, becoming a recurring villain and occasional ally of Namor. In recent years, Todd's physical appearance has mutated further to more resemble a shark.
Todd's sister, Diane, would go on to marry the superhero Stingray.
