- The connections between Thel 'Vadam and Ahab are that they are aliens from beyond the 21st century, who are high-ranking and highly skilled of their species (Sangheili and Yautja) who have one of their kind's highest obtainable ranks (Thel is an Arbiter and Ahab is an Elder). The two have fought a parasitic species (The Flood and The Xenomorphs) while also fighting alongside human companions (Master Chief and Galgo Helder), whom they see as equals. Both are also involved with ancient races (Forerunners and Engineers) that played a role in the establishment of their universes.
