Description[]

SteveVSTheSecondComing

The Second Coming VS Steve! When two heroes that have journeyed through Minecraft clash swords, who will win?

Note: Steve will get all his gear from Minecraft, Minecraft Dungeons, and Minecraft Legends as well as Creative Mode. The Second Coming will get everything in his arsenal from every Alan Becker video he's appeared in (this includes Animation vs. Math and Animation vs. Physics).

Interlude[]

Discombobulated: The Second Coming...

Sage: Steve...

Discombobulated: Both these heroes have journeyed through Minecraft, crafted weapons, built houses, and slayed mobs! But what if they clashed in battle?

Sage: I'm Sage...

Discombobulated: I'm Discombobulated...

Sage: And it's our job to analyze the combatants' weapons, armor, and abilities to find out who would win in a DEATH BATTLE!

The Second Coming[]

Discombobulated: A man named Alan Becker drew an orange stick figure and named him "The Second Coming".

Sage: This stick figure unexpectedly sprung to life. Now he and his stick figure friends Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow live inside Alan's PC.

Discombobulated: Which of course, mean they can directly interact with digital programs.

Sage: The Second Coming and his friends have interacted with many video games. They've fought Mario from Super Mario Bros 1, 2, and 3.

Discombobulated: He even became a Pokemon League Champion, with his team consisting of Feraligatr, Heracross, Magcargo, Pidgeot, Ampharos, and Bellossom.

Sage: With Minecraft gear, he can shred waves of mobs easily. He's tanked a Creeper explosion and even defeated Red possessed by Herobrine (with help). He can adapt quickly to any situation, quickly learning the mechanics of Minecraft upon just discovering the game.

Discombobulated: The Second Coming has endured getting constantly rammed by trains and cars, and he's insanely skilled! He can block lightning, and beat all four of his friends in hand to hand combat all at once. With his Pencil, he can draw things into existence! He can even draw living things, like when he drew an alligator to aid him in battle.

Sage: With the Minecraft Icon, The Second Coming gains access to everything in Minecraft! He gains an unlimited amount of any item or block. King Orange, while wielding a staff powered by a Minecraft Icon, summoned a black hole that was going to destroy all of Minecraft! This is even more crazy when you start to take into account that Animation vs. Minecraft's version of Minecraft might contain multiple universes. There are at least 11 separate versions of the Overworld: the world containing the Skyblock Island, the Dolphin Kingdom, and the Cave Spider Roller Coaster, the home of the Killer Bunny, the worlds on the other ends of the five other portals, the world shown in The Witch and The Raid, and each of the worlds shown in The Warden, Monster School, and Note Block Universe. There also exists at least one version of the Nether and The End each. Additionally, the title of Episode 29 implies that they're all separate worlds.

Discombobulated: So, that's 13 universes?

Sage: Possibly. The Second Coming while wielding the Minecraft Icon could have multiversal power.

Discombobulated: This ism't the last time he's got black hole scaling either. In Animation vs. Physics, The Second Coming survives being spaghettified by a black hole. He's also survived the explosion caused by two Minecraft Icons colliding. He has his =f(∞) cannon that can fire infinitely-expanding lines and lasers that turn things into 0! He's tanked blows from The Dark Lord's Virus Blade, which turned the other four stick figures into "trash data". He's also been shown to be unable to be deleted.

Sage: He's also able to physically manipulate dimensions like in Animation vs. Physics when he interacts with 1-D strings. He can even interact with mathematical symbols and build weapons with math. He's fought Euler's Identity and took hits from its staff, which is made from compressing infinitely expanding lines, meaning it has infinite mass and thus infinite kinetic energy. He can hold a Calabi-Yau manifold, which is a 6-D object. Euler's Identity can create a shape with infinite spatial dimensions and The Second Coming defeated Euler's Identity.

Discombobulated: Uh...what does that mean?

Sage: So, we live in the third dimension. But there are even higher dimensions. For example, the 4th dimension is uncountably infinitely superior to the 3rd dimension. The difference is greater than infinite. We are fiction to 4th dimensional beings, just like how 2 dimensional beings are fictional to us.

Discombobulated: Wow.

Sage: The Second Coming is able to keep up with Euler's Identity who could react to and grab infinitely extending lines, meaning he has infinite combat speeds!

Discombobulated: Upon seeing all his friends nearly dead at the hands of The Dark Lord, The Second Coming awakened.

Sage: In his Awakened state, he easily overpowered The Dark Lord even when he had the Virus Armband, which The Dark Lord was going to use to destroy the entire internet. Keep in mind websites are referred to as dimensions, and there are 1.1 billion websites!

Discombobulated: But The Second Coming isn't without his weaknesses and faults.

Sage: He can't enter his Awakened state willingly and he's unable to...break out of really tight boxes.

Discombobulated: But still! You don't wanna mess with this stick figure!

Steve[]

Discombobulated: In the world of Minecraft, a world made of blocks. A world where you can build anything, where creativity is endless, and the protagonist...is Steve.

Sage: Steve, upon being born, proceeded to punch down trees. He began to craft weapons and mine ore, exploring dungeons and fighting the monsters of Hell!

Discombobulated: Steve's got himself all decked out in Diamond Armor and weapons, the most powerful in Minecraft!

Sage: Actually, Netherite is objectively better.

Discombobulated: Shut up.

Sage: No. Anyway, Steve can tank and block explosions from Charged Creepers, which can blow up 478 cubic meters of basalt, yielding 21.325685 Tons of TNT.

Discombobulated: Steve can slash off arms and legs with his sword, get headshots with his bow and arrow, and impale with his trident. He can set things on fire with flint and steel, blow things up with TNT, buff himself with potions, poison or damage enemies with potions, regenerate with enchanted golden apples, travel great distances in seconds with wind charges, fly with an Elytra, and even come back to life with a Totem of Undying!

Sage: By falling onto his enemies and hitting them with a Mace, Steve can deal insane damage.

Discombobulated: With his Diamond Armor enchanted and his Diamond Sword sharpened, Steve heads into The End to slay the Ender Dragon!

Sage: Steve can tank head-on rams from the Ender Dragon, which can vaporize 792 cubic meters of diamond, which yields 40.8432241873804998 Kilotons of TNT.

Discombobulated: That's like fighting a living, flying atomic bomb!

Sage: Steve can keep up with Endermen who can dodge arrows point-blank, and arrows in Minecraft have an average calculated velocity of 129.83996 m/s, but this could be just instinctive teleportation and not actual reaction speed.

Discombobulated: Steve is also a playable character in Minecraft Dungeons, granting him a LOT of crazy overpowered gear!

Sage: Steve fought and defeated the Heart of Ender, a monster that could shoot a beam that reached the Sun in seconds, yielding speeds 13.9x faster than light. This same Heart of Ender could stop the planet's rotation. While there is debate on whether the Minecraft world is truly infinite, assuming that it is a planet, this would yield 11 Yottatons of TNT, which is enough to destroy a planet.

Discombobulated: In order to defeat the Heart of Ender, Steve used some insane and epic gear! Like his various enchantments! Thorns deals damage back to the opponent, Frost Walker allows him to walk on water, Burning burns nearby enemies, and Protection grants him resistances to all forms of damage. He can shoot lightning, pull enemies towards him with Gravity Pulse, steal souls with the Soul Scythe, inflict poison with Vine Whip, summon mobs to aid him in battle, temporarily become intangible with the Ghost Cloak, summon poison-inflicting vines with Corrupted Seeds, turn enemies into his allies with the Love Medallion, fire an insanely powerful laser with the Corrupted Beacon, a weapon that is likely the same one that the Heart of Ender made to freeze the Sun, and more!

Sage: With Creative Mode, Steve gains an insane boost in durability, being completely unaffected by all forms of damage in Minecraft. Except for the Void and death inducement like with /kill, but Bedrock Creative Steve doesn't have those weaknesses. Steve can use /kill to induce death onto anything he wishes, /fill to summon massive amounts of blocks, /tp to teleport, and more. Creative Steve's casual punches can break Bedrock and Command Blocks, which can survive an explosion yielding 38.759237400000003504 Exatons of TNT, enough to blow up the Moon!

Discombobulated: While Steve may die over and over, in the end, he'll mine and craft his way to victory!

Prelude[]

Sage: The combatants are set. I've run the data through all possibilities.

Discombobulated: IT'S TIME FOR A DEEAATTH BATTLEE!!!

Start!

The Second Coming was traversing through Minecraft when he saw Steve burning down a village. Wasting no time, The Second Coming equips Diamond Armor and dashes forward, swinging a Diamond Sword at Steve, who blocks it with a Shield. Steve equips Diamond Armor and draws his Diamond Sword. (I'll call The Second Coming TSC from now on)

DEATH BATTLE![]

TSC dashes forward, clashing swords with Steve. TSC uses the subtraction symbol, forcefully turning Steve around before relentlessly slashing him. Steve pulls out his Bow, enchanted with Flame, and shoots a flaming arrow at TSC, who blocks it with a Shield. TSC sends out all 6 of his Pokemon. Feraligatr uses Hydro Pump, sending Steve flying back. Pidgeot swoops down and hits Steve with Wing Attack. Magcargo uses Flamethrower but Steve quickly places down a wall of Obsidian, blocking the attack. Steve sees Ampharos preparing to use Thunder and places down a Lightning Rod, causing the attack to strike it instead of him. TSC lunges forward and clashes swords with Steve. Heracross dashes towards Steve, who quickly builds an Iron Golem. The Iron Golem punches Heracross, sending it flying back. Heracross pummels the Iron Golem with Close Combat and TSC finishes it off with a stab to the head. Steve charges but Bellossom drains his HP with Giga Drain before blasting him with Magical Leaf. Steve attempts to dash but Grass Knot wraps around his Diamond Armor, immobilizing him. Feraligatr uses Hydro Pump but Steve escapes with an Ender Pearl. Steve pulls out his Bow and snipes Bellossom with an Arrow of Decay. Bellossom writhes in pain, hastily healing itself with Giga Drain. TSC throws TNT blocks at Steve, who pulls out a Shulker Box but Magcargo uses Rock Slide, causing him to flinch. The TNT blocks explode. Steve steps out of the dust, dressed in Protection 4 Thorns 3 Netherite Armor with a Sharpness 5 Netherite Sword in his hand. Steve uses the Love Medallion, turning TSC's Pokemon against him.

TSC returns his Pokemon into their Pokeballs. Steve throws Corrupted Seeds at TSC. The seeds grow into poisonous vines. TSC draws a flamethrower with his Pencil and incinerates the vines. TSC creates a circle and uses the cos and sin symbols in the center plus his =f(∞) cannon to fire a giant laser at Steve, who equips his Elytra, pulls out some Firework Rockets, and flies up into the sky just as the laser strikes the area where he just was. TSC draws wings on himself and a giant pair of scissors with his Pencil, chasing after Steve. Scissors clashes with Netherite Sword as the two zoom through the air. TSC cuts off a large portion of Steve's Elytra with his scissors, causing him to fall to the ground. TSC flies back up to the circle and fires a giant laser. The laser rips through Steve's Netherite Armor, but he survives the attack with a Totem of Undying. Steve equips enchanted Renegade Armor and draws two Dark Katanas. TSC jumps down, drawing a giant axe with his Pencil. The two clash weapons, sending sparks flying. Steve pulls out the Cursed Axe, smashing TSC's axe to pieces. TSC flies up to the circle, firing another laser but Steve uses the Ghost Cloak to become intangible. Steve uses an Ender Pearl to teleport up to TSC and kicks him off before leaping down and slashing him with the Soul Scythe. TSC, being a stick figure made of pixels, has no soul. TSC draws an alligator with his Pencil. The alligator attacks Steve, biting his arm. Steve impales it with Truthseeker. Pulling out the Lightning Harp Crossbow, Steve shoots three arrows at TSC, who draws a wall with his Pencil, blocking the arrows. TSC sends out Bellossom since the Love Medallion has wore off. Bellossom uses Magical Leaf, but Steve blocks it with Firebrand. Steve slashes Bellossom with Firebrand, setting it on fire. TSC pours water on Bellossom with a Water Bucket. Steve pulls out a Void Bow enchanted with Supercharge 3, shooting arrow after arrow at TSC, who sends out Heracross. Heracross deflects the arrows with Close Combat.

Gravity Pulse activates, pulling TSC, Heracross, and Bellossom towards Steve. TSC puts his Pokemon back into their Pokeballs as he sends out Magcargo, who uses Rock Slide, causing Steve to flinch. Magcargo follows up with Flamethrower. While Steve is fighting Magcargo, TSC flies back up to his circle and recalls Magcargo to its Pokeball just as he fires a giant laser. Totem after Totem goes off as Steve noms down on Enchanted Golden Apples. His Renegade Armor cracks. Steve narrowly escapes with Chorus Fruit and builds a Nether Portal. He pulls out a Frost Scythe, enchanted with Thundering. Steve teleports up to TSC with an Ender Pearl and knocks him into the Nether Portal. Steve steps into the Nether and slashes TSC with his Frost Scythe. Thundering activates and a bolt of lightning strikes TSC, scorching his wings.

TSC sends out all his Pokemon, and they charge at Steve but suddenly Steve pulls out the Corrupted Beacon and fires, vaporizing all of TSC's Pokemon. The laser engulfs TSC as he watches his beloved Pokemon die right in front of him. Completely filled with rage, TSC Awakens, his wounds healing and his strength reaching its peak. TSC fires green lasers, blasting Steve into the Nether Portal, sending him crashing into a mountain, blowing it up. Before Steve has time to react, TSC grabs him and throws him down, tunneling through the earth and sending Steve crashing into an Ancient City. Steve suddenly enters Creative Mode, and tries to use /kill but TSC interrupts him, blasting him with green lasers. Steve uses /effect Steve strength infinite 255 and punches TSC but TSC doesn't even react as he sends Steve flying back thousands of blocks with green lasers again. Steve uses /effect Steve resistance infinite 255 and builds a wall of Bedrock but TSC smashes straight through and rips Steve's left leg off. Steve uses /kill TheSecondComing but an error message pops up and TSC is unaffected. TSC grabs Steve with telekinesis before blasting him into the ground with a giant green laser, tearing through layers upon layers of Stone and Deepslate. The laser breaks through the Bedrock layer, sending Steve flying into the Void. TSC dives down and grabs Steve, throwing him beyond the Void, past the Nether and End, into Anti-De Sitter Space. TSC fires one last giant green laser, engulfing Steve and reducing him to nothing.

Results[]

Discombobulated: Ok, we have a lot to go over, so let's just get into it.

Sage: In terms of stats, The Second Coming had the obvious advantage. Steve's attack potency and durability at best scale to the Heart of Ender, who stopped the rotation of what might be a massive planet. Regardless, even with Creative Mode, Steve is capped at 3-D levels of attack potency and durability. And the best speed value Steve has is around ~14x faster than light with the Corrupted Beacon.

Discombobulated: The Second Coming. however, can keep up with a character that reacted to infinitely-expanding lines. He held a 6-D object and broke into Anti-De Sitter Space, which is 5-D. The Second Coming also possibly scales to infinite spatial dimensions.

Sage: This means The Second Coming was infinitely faster and qualitatively stronger and more durable. A qualitative difference is like the difference between reality and fiction!

Discombobulated: But what about Steve's arsenal?

Sage: While Steve could potentially come back from being killed or erased with Totems, he has a finite amount of those so once he runs out he has few options left. No amount of potions, Enchanted Golden Apples, or enchantments is gonna clear a qualitative gap.

Discombobulated: But...what about Creative Mode?

Sage: While Creative Steve is certainly powerful, he doesn't have any solid win conditions either. Again, no amount of buffs can clear a qualitative gap, and although Creative Steve can be argued to have invulnerability, The Second Coming's qualitative superiority over Steve could very likely allow him to just ignore Steve's invulnerability. Even if you disagree, nothing saves Steve from being turned into 0. Totems could maybe save Steve but he has a finite amount of those. In fact, even without his Physics and Math powers, The Second Coming can still use the Minecraft Icon to kill Steve with a black hole or with the Staffs, he could nullify Steve's buffs and other powers or turn Steve into a block. Also, being literally made of pixels means he lacks a soul, so Steve's soul affecting weapons won't do much.

Discombobulated: The winner is The Second Coming!

The Second Coming Wins

The Second Coming (Winner)[]

+Had qualitatively higher AP and Durability

+Is infinitely faster

+More reliable win cons via transmutation, black holes, blitzing and one tapping, etc.

+Truthseeker and Steve's other soul affecting weapons were useless due to TSC's lack of a soul

+/kill was useless due to TSC being unable to be deleted

+Already experienced with fighting Minecraft characters

Steve (Loser)[]

+Could potentially keep coming back with Totems

-Vulnerable to TSC's transmutation and black hole

-Has qualitatively lower AP and Durability

-Infinitely slower

-/kill was useless due to TSC being unable to be deleted

-Truthseeker and Steve's other soul affecting weapons were useless due to TSC's lack of a soul

-No reliable win cons

-Buffs were useless due to the qualitative gap
