The Nurse Vs Baldi is a What-If? Death Battle featuring Sally Smithson, better known as The Nurse, and Baldi, The Psycho Math Teacher.
Intro[]
Skunk: While you need a job to get through life, sometimes it is more trouble than it is worth.
Skel: And these two combatants know that best!
Skunk: Sally Smithson, The Nurse from Dead by Daylight.
Skel: And Baldi, everyone’s favourite Crazy Math Teacher. He’s Skunk and I'm Skel.
Skunk: And it’s our job to research their weapons armour and skills to find out who would win, a Death battle!
The Nurse[]
Skunk: Sometimes life hits hard, and reality brings sadness.
Skel: And your expectations come crumbling down on top of you.
Skunk: Sally Smithson knew this with great knowledge, as her life was filled with nothing but despair and depression.
Skel: She came into town, hoping for dreams of children laughing, running around in her house, but this all broke down when her husband died, leaving her with no income.
Skunk: Sally had no other choice but to get a job, and due to circumstances, she worked at the Crotus Prenn Asylum.
Skel: Only those who really needed the money, would go work there, and Sally did just that, but it came at a cost, her mental health.
Skunk: She started low, doing various shifts, but all of her work took a tole on her, she saw things unspeakable, things people should never see or even know about, she got verbally abused to the point of snapping.
Skel: Over 20 years this happened, all the horrifying things built up, abuse, horror, and insanity, all of it added up to her climax of her own madness.
Skunk: This caused her to finally lose it, and thought about what she could do to make it stop, which she did, it a very brutal fashion.
Skel: In basic terms, she slaughtered the asylum patients and some of the staff, over 50 dead.
Skunk: While Sally was left unharmed, physically, while she rocked back and forth, it was simply over for her.
Skel: When they tried to transfer her to a hospital, they never got there, and Sally was never to be found again, at least not in the real world.
Skunk: The Entity had taken Sally as a killer, having her sacrifice victims to it.
Skel: The Entity didn't just toss her into it's realm, it made sure she was ready to slaughter the survivors.
The Nurses' Abilities[]
- Enhanced Senses
- Can see through the cloth over her head
- She can hear breathing more loudly than others
- Can see others within a certain distance if they are healing/being healed
- Passive Flight
- Enhanced Strength
- Endless Stamina
- Immortality
- The Entity will always bring The Nurse back to life if she dies, as it needs her
- Status Effect Inducement
- The more people that are hurt in a group, the less effective they are at doing things
Skunk: Now deemed as "The Nurse" Sally gained tremendous power, being able to endlessly stay awake to stalk survivors, float passively, and making people less capable when injured.
Skel: Oh, and she also is like, REALLY capable of knowing the locations of others, she can see through the bag over her head, hear people's breathing more clearly than others can, and when someone is getting healed or healing themselves, she can see them through walls.
Skunk: And being a killer for The Entity, The Nurse will be brought back if she somehow is to be killed or subdued, as it needs her to help it feed.
Skel: She does hold a very special ability, which derives from the Warden of the asylum she worked at, Spencer's Last Breath.
Spencer's Last Breath[]
- Last Breath of the Crotus Prenn Asylum Warden
- Allows Sally to "Blink" around
- The longer it charges, the further The Nurse will Blink
- Can be chained multiple times
- Used by The Nurse to break Pallets and Breakable Walls, as well as damage Generators
- She does this by tapping the structure twice with the breath
Skunk: Spencer's Last Breath is her main power, allowing her to teleport around by "Blinking" to a location she desires.
Skel: The Nurse uses this to close distance between her and others, letting her get a quick hit in to hurt or down a person.
Skunk: She can chain it to do it multiple times in a few seconds, charge it to go further, and even uses it to break walls and doors.
Skel: She can do crazy stuff man, crazy.
The Nurses' Feats[]
- Able to choke a person out in a few seconds
- Killed 50 asylum patients, along with 4 workers at the asylum
- Can take wooden pallets getting dropped on her head
- Able to down a person with two hits of her bone saw
- Easily able to lift people around
- Should be comparable to the other Killers
- The Wraith, before his transformation, tore the spine out of his former employer
- Has been killing for an eternity in The Entity's Realm
- Able to break wooden walls and pallets with ease
- Was evil enough to gain The Entity's interest, and make her a killer
Skunk: As we stated, she killed over 50 people in an asylum, mostly by choking them, and she can choke a person to death in seconds, leaving a mark around their necks.
Skel: She, like all other killers, can take getting stunned by pallets, as well as break them apart to bits, not to mention her being able to easily manhandle people.
Skunk: Her physic is only matched by her experience, having been killing for an eternity, using her ability and weaponry to murder and sacrifice anyone she catches, though, she isn't the perfect killer, none ever are.
The Nurses' Flaws[]
- Blinking causes her to become exhausted after a short duration of having done it
- This is also very painful for her to do
- The more times she Blinks throughout a trial, the longer the exhaustion lasts
- This means she must be very effective with her Blinks, as using it too much will allow people to get away from her
- Is the slowest killer out of the roster in Dead By Daylight while not Blinking
- Makes constant loud groans/breathing noises, alerting people to her being nearby
- Insane
- Not as much a fighter as a straight up killer
- Survivors don't really fight back, they only run away, leaving her with no fighting experience
Skel: While you may not have known at first, The Nurse using her Blink causes great pain to her, which is why she screams while doing it, and using it too much can make her really tired, the more she uses it, the more tired she is.
Skunk: And she only has a short time limit after finishing the Blink, before she briefly becomes exhausted, leaving her wide open to be hit or ran away from.
Skel: Her Blink is the main tool of speed she has, so her mobility relies heavily on it, not to mention, she is really loud, her breathing couldn't be any louder honestly, and she more or less just kills, she isn't the type to fight.
Skunk: And to top it all off, as mentioned, she is insane, leaving her actions to sometimes be rather predictable, and a smart opponent could likely trick her into a trap, though she could see it coming and Blink through the trap.
Skel: In basic terms, she is crazy, strong, fast, and very scary to be against, if you ever hear that terrifying scream, you know you're going to get a very bad treatment, very, very soon.
The Nurse is shown doing her Mori on Jake Park.
Baldi Notes Down Lessons In Death Battle![]
Skunk: I love teaching, I got a degree in 14635 subjects in collage!
Skel: Nobody cares... Anyways, teachers themselves can be jerks, no good, tall, thin and in horrible schools.
Skunk: Ugh, whatever... Baldi's School House is full of insane people, like a little girl who is partially blind, a bully with a questionable satanic history...
Skel: And Baldi, the tall math teaching guy himself, we all love him and hate him at the same time. I know I'd hate him, his teaching is stupid and impossible...
Skunk: I bet I could solve the questions, you're just stupid Skel.
Skel: Go play the game after we finish this Death Battle, then we will see who produces brown in their pants.
Skunk: Anyways... Baldi isn't the actual owner, so we don't know why it is "His" School House...
Skel: He likes to put students through challenging games of hide and go kill if a student fails a math question, even if it is hard.
Skunk: He'll get his rage built up and eventually goes full murder mode.
Skel: But hey, he ain't ALL bad, cos he let us go on a field trip!
Skunk: Which turned into another horrible game of fetching wood and making sure the camp fire didn't go out or else Baldi will kill you...
Skel: He doesn't give up easy...
Skunk: Anyways, we are here for info on him, and we have ran out of backstory, so let's get to his arsenal, and he has an... interesting supply of weapons for a math teacher...
Baldi's Arsenal[]
- Ruler
- 13 Inches long
- Bear Traps
- Fog Machine
Skel: Not to worry, he doesn't have a lot of stuff, which if you look back at the other combatant... Is kinda... a big different...
Skunk: Well, we aren't counting him out yet. Baldi has his ruler, which he smacks every time he moves, and is supposedly able to murder people with it.
Skel: He has bear traps to catch your feet, but they don't actually take a leg off, so they aren't that deadly.
Skunk: He apparently has a fog machine, which baffles me, because why on this earth would a math teacher own a fog machine?
Skel: Does it matter? Who cares? It is part of the game!
Skunk: Ugh... Baldi also possesses some little powers that come helpful to tracking down students he is after.
Baldi's Skills & Abilities[]
- Perfect Hearing
- Can identify who makes a noise and where
- Can hear from across the School House
- Short Teleportation
- Minor Phasing
- Can go through desks and doors, but not walls
Skel: He got that obvious little teleport, and can phase through doors and desks like they ain't there.
Skunk: He can hear a person so well, that it doesn't matter if they are on the other side of the school, which is nuts!
Skel: And you getting 14635 degrees isn't?
Skunk: Yes, now let's get on to the feats.
Baldi's Feats[]
- Getting slammed into a wall causes no damage
- Can murder people with a ruler
- At an apple in 10 seconds
- If angry enough, he can cross rooms in 1 second
Skel: He takes getting slammed around by Gotta Sweep at high speeds into stone walls with out any visible harm, which is way impressive!
Skunk: He is fast enough to cross rooms in 1 second, but only if angry enough that is, which is one of the biggest faults of Baldi.
Baldi's Flaws[]
- When angry, he goes straight forward, with no strategy
- Bear Traps only slow the player down for a bit, and don't take their leg off
- Hearing can be disrupted by loud noises
- Not a very good teacher
- Still a human (Possibly?)
Skel: Yeah, despite him being a teacher, supposedly some of the smartest people ever, he goes a straight forward attack pattern, leaving him predictable.
Skunk: He also can be confused by loud noises, and his Bear Traps don't cause large damage, only minor, leaving his arsenal lacking in the deadly category.
Skel: But still, your best bet is to just not anger him in the first place, it is for the best...
Baldi: Hi, welcome to my School House!
Intermission[]
Skunk: Alright, the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all.
Skel: It's time for a Death Battle!!!
Fight[]
Location: The Entity's Realm
Baldi is seen wandering the halls of his school, but little does he know, it isn't truly his school.
Baldi: Where are all the other students, I need to give them impossible math questions then murder them for getting them wrong.
Baldi hears a very raspy sounding breathing, somewhat female, but also deep and in pain. Baldi walks around until he hears the breathing getting louder. He sees Jake Park fixing a generator, and comes up to him.
Baldi: Hello there!
Jake jumps, startled, and looks at Baldi.
Jake: Are you another survivor?
Baldi: Want to do math?
Jake: What...
Baldi: Question 1!
Jake sees a skill check, and does it.
Baldi: Great job! Question 2!
Jake does another, and Baldi congratulates him. Baldi gives another question, and this time, the skill check is impossible to do, and Jake fails it, causing a loud noise.
Baldi: Wrong!
Jake then runs away, as Baldi takes his ruler out, and chases after Jake. He hears a scream of pain, turning the corner to see The Nurse choking out Jake, then a snap of his neck. She closes his eyes, and summons her bone saw back to her hand. She turns to see Baldi.
Baldi: You can't do that to my students! Only I can kill them!
The Nurse screams out angrily, and lifts her bone saw up.
Fight!!!
The Nurse swings her bone saw, Baldi barely evading it, and smacking her with his ruler. The Nurse turns, and again swipes at Baldi, who blocks her saw with his ruler. They both swing their weapons, clashing. They do this a few times, before The Nurse backs off, and raises her other hand. She charges Spencer's Last Breath, and as Baldi swings, she vanishes. Baldi glares to his sides, but gets cut in the back with The Nurses' bone saw. He turns, and sees her briefly fatigued, but she recovers.
Baldi: You can't hit a teacher!
The Nurse screams out, and swings at Baldi, who rushes away, around a corner. The Nurse follows, and sees Baldi stood with a smile. She lunges forward, then Baldi loses his smile, as he narrowly dodges, and gets stuck in his own bear trap.
Baldi: Right, you're floating, so a trap won't work on you...
The Nurse hits Baldi, and this causes him to slip out his trap, and stumble backwards. Baldi looks around, and goes into a classroom. The Nurse looks at the door, then at the wall. She floats around the room's wall, and charges her Blink. Baldi is shown ready to throw books at the door, but The Nurse blinks through the wall behind Baldi, and cuts his shoulder in a surprise attack. Baldi looks back to see her fatigued again, and wastes no time, stabbing her neck with his ruler, making her cry out angrily.
Baldi: That is what I call justice!
The Nurse pulls it out her neck, and snaps it. Baldi slowly moves backwards, but feels something sharp poke his shoulder, and turns to see a hanging hook. The Nurse hits Baldi, making him fall down. She picks him up, and tosses him onto the hook. Baldi screams out, and The Nurse starts to float away, when Baldi realizes his feet are still touching the ground, as his tall body is too tall to fully hang. He easily slips out the hook, and The Nurse hears this. She turns.
Baldi: Ha, you thought that would work on me?! You're wrong!
The Nurse clenches her fist, and Blinks behind Baldi, about to swing her bone saw, when he suddenly drops a random pallet on her head, stunning her. Baldi finds a random flashlight and shines it at her. She floats there, then taps the pallet, shattering it. Baldi looks at the broken pallet parts. The Nurse hits Baldi, knocking him down again. This time, she turns Baldi onto his back, and Blinks down, grabbing his throat, choking him. She slams his head into the floor while doing this, making blood go over it. After a struggle, Baldi stops moving, and The Nurse lets go, showing the massive red mark around Baldi's neck. The Nurse closes his eyes, and floats off to find more Survivors.
K.O!
Conclusion[]
Skel: Ok, that was better than the previous time we did this.
Skunk: Now thanks to use actually doing more research, we were able to pin point the true victor of this battle, and the reason for this is very clear as to why she won.
Skel: Firstly, she had a way better arsenal, as her weapon and power were much more useful against Baldi, than his were against hers. Bear traps aren't going to affect her since she is able to float over them, and his ruler isn't exactly the most deadly thing, and she can take sharp things stabbing her, as well as pallets going on her head, so Baldi wasn't putting her down easily.
Skunk; The Nurse was also able to use her power to avoid his attacks, as well as confuse him. Sure he is a smart guy, but The Nurse has killed many people, and those people can still try to fight back. She can catch up to trained athletes, use her Blink to cover massive distance and go through walls.
Skel: To put this in short terms, she was able to physical overpower Baldi, and get the jump on him before he knew what hit him. This fight was over in a blink.
Skunk: The winner is The Nurse!
Trivia[]
- The link between these two is They both are driven to kill through the pain and horrible experience in their jobs, are both tall and both come from games where the objective is to do a certain amount of tasks to escape (The Nurse with generators and Baldi with notebooks)
- This is the first Death Battle SkunkBandit has redone, to make it more accurate to the true result
