Robert McCall is ready to make Death Battle Equalized[]
o Wiz: At first glance, Robert McCall seems like your advantage everyday minimum wage stooge working at the Home Mart hardware store in Boston
o Boomstick: It's what happened when Walmart and Home Depot had a baby.
o Wiz: That is not accurate or possible. Anyway, Robert would go about his day as he usually would: get up, go to work, help out his friends and support them during their time of need, go to his favorite diner to order is usual meal, read one of the 100 books left by his late wife, and head back home to his apartment to start the day all over again. Seems like a pretty normal guy if you ask me or anyone else.
o Boomstick: But you’d be dead wrong about all of that, because this guy was once the most feared and deadly U.S. Marine and DIA officer, ever lived.
o Wiz: In his youth, Robert McCall was once a highly decorated Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, and he used to be in command of an elite squad of black ops soldiers. He went on numerous different missions, and he always executed them with extreme efficiency and prejudice. None of the enemies that he was sent after ever lived to tell the tale about him or his team.
o Boomstick: He’s like the black version of John Wick and Ethan Hunt all mashed into one. But like both of those men, he was more human than we first thought. After years of bein' a badass, McCall wanted out of the DIA to spend his remaining years with the love of his life and retire. I mean she was already dying, so he wanted to spend whatever time she had being by her side and not killing people for once.
https://youtu.be/wfNU6JfDN_c?si=gtrzY1-31FpIqhQ5
o Wiz: But no matter how often he pleaded, his government officials wouldn’t let him go, for he was too valuable of an agent to let go of. But being a fellow genius and planner, like your’s truly, Robert came up with a plan to get himself out of this life once and for all.
o Boomstick: His answer: faking his own death in a car bomb so he could run away and be with the love of his life. When in doubt, just fake your death and start over, works every time.
o Wiz: Even after her death, Robert continued to live in secret to avoid the detection of his former employers. It wasn’t all bad though, he made lots of new friends like his pal Ralphie who he helped train to achieve his goal of being a security guard, and Alina, a runaway teenager he befriended working as a prostitute.
o Boomstick: Poor kid, all she really wanted to do with her life was become a professional singer like her hero Taylor Swift. Too bad the dastardly Russian mafia refused to let her go, and one night while he and Alina were out for a stroll, Alina’s pimp arrived just to beat her to a pulp and give Robert a business card for their escort service before driving away. You know the old saying “mess with the bull you get the horns”, well these just guess just messed with the very wrong bull.
o Wiz: After hearing that Alina had ended up in the hospital after receiving a serious beating from her boss, Robert knew he couldn’t just stand around and do nothing. So he tracked down her employer Slavi and his men at their restaurant, and politely asked them to let her go.
https://youtu.be/dV2qygopjbo?si=mhFt-9sXJrGdVFOv
o Boomstick: When they refused to do so, Robert decided to go with option two: kill each and everyone of those mother F’ers and walk out of that place like nothing ever happened.
o Wiz: Unbeknownst to him though, Slavi and his men were part of a much larger syndicate led by Russian mobster Vladimir Pushkin. And after hearing about the attack, Pushkin sent his enforcer Teddy Rensen to investigate the attack aided by some of Boston Police Department detectives on Pushkin's payroll.
o Boomstick: To most men, this would be a death sentence, but for men like Robert McCall, this was just a typical day at the office.
o Wiz: What Vladimir and Teddy didn’t know was how deadly of a man they were coming after, because Robert knew about all of them and he was prepared to take the fight to them by any means necessary.
o Boomstick: No matter how many assassins, corrupt cops, gangster, or thugs they sent after McCall, they all ended leaving either in a prison truck, in body bags, or in a hospital bed.
https://youtu.be/usBbenIeAIs?si=da_qZWM56Y9Zusp9
o Wiz: Over the course of the movie, which span only about less than a month, McCall exposed several corrupt cops, brought down all of Vladimir’s operation including his political moles with the help of the FBI, and killed every last assassin sent to kill him
o Boomstick: But just to make sure he cut off the head of this Russian snake, Robert traveled to Moscow to confront Pushkin, killed all of the guards stationed in his mansion, and electrocuted him to death using a cut electrical wire, putting an end to Pushkin's operations once and for all.
o Wiz: Using the money he had stolen from the Russian Mafia, Robert used it to relocate to another state and helped Alina start a new life so she could pursue the dream she had always wanted to. And his good deeds would not stop there.
o Boomstick: Inspired by his conversation with Alina, Robert decided to carry on his vigilantism by posting an online ad, offering help to the less fortunate and those in need. From that point on, Robert McCall would be known as the man to go to when you couldn’t go to the people for help. He would be known as The Equalizer.
o Wiz: Thanks to his days in the military and eating a healthy diet like all men should, McCall is in peak physical condition for a man of his age. During his time working in Home Mart, he would stay in shape by pushing dollies full of cement.
https://youtu.be/gAH4dfCLZpg?si=BCPF4Gg462WDFQCJ
o Boomstick: For a guy in his 60s, he’s super tough, capable of driving a corkscrew through a man's chin and breaking a guy’s neck with ease. He definitely gives a proper meaning to the term “respect your elders”.
o Wiz: Thanks to his time in both college and the CIA, Robert is a highly intelligent man and well-versed in preparation. He’s always assessing his surroundings to observe the people around him and see what can be used as a weapon.
o Boomstick: But Isn't that he doesn’t have a lot of options though. In his hands, literally anything can be a deadly weapon. Knives, sledgehammer, wine bottles, his books. Shit, he once took out a room filled with Russian gangsters with nothing but a nail gun and some hardware tools just lying around! And thanks to Robert’s precise understanding of the human body, he can target pressure points and vital organs with ease.
o Wiz: And thanks to his training in the military, he is a highly skilled martial artist, being particularly familiar with Krav Maga, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, and Street Fighting. He effortlessly fought and killed four of Slavi's henchmen in under half of a minute. Yeah he is always timing himself for how long he has to take people out before he needs to make a quick getaway.
https://youtu.be/TunbuB_bBb8?si=viNbz-56VKMjaFol
o Boomstick: And that was just the tip of the Equalizer Iceberg. He later beat down a group of drunken businessmen, subdued an assassin while he was on a train without anyone else knowing, and defeated corrupt CIA assassin Dave York in hand-to-hand combat.
o Wiz: He’s also got a Macgyver-like mind for using and/or building improvised explosives, his Batman-like stealth to infiltrate heavily armed or populated areas without being spotted, and can use his Spider-Man like reflexes to subdue an opponent within milliseconds.
o Boomstick: Even Sherlock Holmes would be impressed by this guy. In his mind, all of life is a giant checkers board.
o Wiz: Chess Board.
o Boomstick: Whatever. Every choice he makes is a move on the board, and Robert is the perfect example of a strategist. He is always thinking and always planning so that he can be two steps…no, make that five steps ahead of his opponents. Even he's in an enclosed and outnumbered, you may think he's trapped in there with them, but in reality, you're are trapped in there with him.
o Wiz: He once tricked two corrupt cops into arresting him and exposing their corruption, all while he was secretly recording them with his phone. After he beat them to a pulp, he forced them to give back all the money they stole from the local diners or he would upload the video he took of them to the internet.
https://youtu.be/yCN8vnlZ5J0?si=wHcSQAlr0KrGYWGe
o Boomstick: I bet that humiliation hurt more than the literal beating. If that’s not cool enough for you, one time he deduced that a guy dressed as an electrician was really an assassin sent to kill just by how he looked and acted.
o Wiz: And he wouldn’t be a professional assassin and vigilante if he didn’t know how to fire a gun. Okay Boomstick, I’ll let you have this one.
o Boomstick: YES, Thank You. Anyway, throughout his days as the Equalizer Robert has used various different firearms, including pistols, shotguns, submachine guns, and even a nail gun. He is so accurate, was able to shoot Slavi through his hand and in the throat before he could react, and shot a military sniper in the face with a harpoon gun. OUCH, see buddy, never go near fishing equipment, it never ends, thanks to a certain person I know.
o Wiz: One: that was a trident. And two: it was one time! Ugh, as his adventures as the Equalizer began to grow, so did the number of threats that came into his life.
o Boomstick: From the mafia to dirty law enforcement, Robert McCall really has his way of ticking people off.
https://youtu.be/mVkCPFAHrNU?si=Gab6KAxo5QVHjmrb
o Wiz: But his devotion to the friends he has made along the means he'll always step up and fight the good fight.
o Boomstick: Other than helping Alina chase her dreams, his greatest accomplishment to date is helping a young black street kid from following the life of a gangster and using his talent of street art to pursue a health career as a college student. He sorta became a surrogate father figure to the kid. Sure wish he could be one of those for me.
o Wiz: Then there was the time he avenged the death of his former coworker at the CIA Susan Plummer after she and her husband were assassinated after she found out that her former partner was corrupt and was plotting to take him and his organization down for good.
o Boomstick: The minute he found out what happened to her, he promised that he would kill every last person responsible for his friend's death, and boy did he keep said promise.
o Wiz: Robert McCall is definitely a friend you’d want to have at your side, for he will fight with every ounce of willpower he has to keep his friends safe.
https://youtu.be/MPFtnlGCSvM?si=F5RPopiY7MivzmWA
o Boomstick: But if you make an enemy out of his, Oh Boy, look out. Because he will not rest until he hunts down every threat that poses a danger to his loved ones.
o Wiz: But for all of Robert's skills, he's not perfect. At the end of the day, he's still a human with human limits, and his age has not always been on his side either.
o Boomstick: Meaning he can be put down with the right blow from an ordinary knife or gun. But good luck trying though, because he’s an old dog with lots of new tricks up his sleeves.
o Wiz: But still, no matter how much of a badass he is, the only thing that Robert McCall truly wants in life is live out the rest of his days away from all the violence and killing. Eventually Robert relocated to a remote coastal Italian town called Altamonte, where he was welcomed with open arms by the friendly community who treated him as one of their own.
https://youtu.be/87-jmGsnkyo?si=UeLyFw7RWySfPfsJ
o Boomstick: That is after he liberated the town from the Italian Mafia known as the Camorra by poisoning their leader and killing his entire family. He even helped the daughter of his late CIA friend Susan, CIA officer in training Emma Collins, receive a much needed promotion by allowing her to take the credit for dismantling the mafia’s illegal drug smuggling business. If he wasn’t on the run, this guy would make a perfect godfather.
o Wiz: After years of hiding and killing, Robin McCall finally found a place where he could lay down his weapons and live out the rest of his days in peace and harmony.
o Boomstick: But a killer like him will never stay hidden forever. Should anyone ever threaten his home or the people he cares about, he’ll always be ready to come right out of retirement and get back to doing what he does best. Jesus Wiz, who is this guy?
o Wiz: Though McCall will never give anyone who asks him that a straight answer, to the people he protects and the viewers who watch him, he will forever be known as The Equalizer.
Pushkin: What do you want?
Robert: I want the head of the snake.
Pushkin: Ah ha, ha, ha. So it's you. And now you've come to k*ll me.
Robert: Yes.
Pushkin: And tell me, what do you gain from my death?
Robert: Peace.
The Punisher is Locked, cocked and ready to rock Death Battle[]
o Wiz: The Non-fictional city of New York is home to hundreds of Fictional superheroes. There’s local heroes like Spider-Man and Daredevil to the mega-level heroes like the Fantastic Four and the Avengers, all of whom are fighting to keep the world safe.
o Boomstick: But in case you're one of the many psycho supervillains or low level gangsters running amok in the streets of New York, you’d better pray to God that you run into one of these soft-hearted superheroes, because they won't save you from the goddamn Punisher.
o Wiz: But before he was the most feared and brutal vigilantes in all of Marvel history, he was Frank Castle: proud member of the United States Marine Corps, husband to Maria Castle and father to Lisa and Frank Castle Jr.
o Boomstick: When Frank was just eighteen, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he served two tours in Afghanistan. He impressed his superior offers so much that they had him join the black-ops team, Cerberus Squad, alongside his brother in arms Billy Russo. So they were hunting mythical creatures like a giant three-headed dog.
o Wiz: Heck No. The Cerberus Squad was a former covert special operations task force tasked with capturing, interrogating, and executing high-value targets. They became so feared across the world that they became known as the American Taliban, so not the best reputation.
https://youtu.be/DTgLdMb24bE?si=sF-rOPWoqB9cs7Jq
o Boomstick: Although Frank was known as their best soldier and always impressed his team with his combat skills and firearm mastering, the weight of killing so many people, some of them innocent bystanders, began to take its toll on him. Oh boy, here comes the PTSD.
o Wiz: Fearing he was slowly losing his honor and soul, Frank eventually retired from the military and came to home to work as a security guard and be a full time father and husband.
o Boomstick: But since this is a comic backstory, no one is allowed to have a happy ending, and soon everything Frank Castle held dear would be stripped away from him like the peels on a banana. For all you Marvel fans eighteen and up, please put all your marvel youngsters to bed, this one’s a gut wrencher.
o Wiz: One day, Frank and his family decided to go on a picnic to Central Park like they always do. But what they didn’t know was that one this very day, the park was being used for a major drug deal between three of New York's most ruthless gangs: the Kitchen Irish mob, Mexican Cartel, and the Dogs of Hell.
o Boomstick: Don’t let the names fool you, these guys are serious bad news. Anyway, the deal went sideways real fast, and it wasn’t long before the whole park became a huge battle ground, with Frank and his family caught in the middle of it.
o Wiz: Though Franks survived thanks to his military training, his wife and children were not so lucky. Racked with grief, Frank demanded that the Police make finding out what truly happened to his family their top priority. Too bad for him, most of the cops assigned to this case were either corrupt and paid off by someone to look the other way, or deemed Frank’s family as merely “collateral damage”.
https://youtu.be/5pMqNrRcUyc?si=Mnfjo7kxyzWLvvtL
o Boomstick: As you might imagine, this did not sit well for Franks, so he decided to take matters into his own bloody hands. So he tracked down every gang that took part in his family's murder and torture them to find out which one was responsible for what happened to his family. Now that’s dedication.
o Wiz: But no matter how many gangsters he maimed, tortured or killed, none of them claimed responsibility for killing his family. So Franks took another look at his family's bodies, and it was here that he made a major and terrifying discovery.
o Boomstick: You see, other than wanting to be with his family, there was another reason why Frank left the military. Turns out that not only was Cerberus Squad carrying out brutal and sanctioned missions behind their superiors backs, but it was also being used as a heroin smuggling scheme and the very soldiers that Frank had risked his life for countless times were a part of it. So Frank had plans to reveal the truth about their operations to his superiors when he got home, even if it meant that he would go to jail for it.
o Wiz: So to make sure that never happened, his commanding officers William Rawlins and Ray Schoonover organized the whole drug deal as a cover, and then had his friend Billy to take him out so the secret stayed quiet. Only they missed their target and Frank's family paid the price for it. Finally finding out who was really responsible for the death of his family, Franks tracked them both down and killed them both in the most painful ways possible.
https://youtu.be/Lja9ty9AetU?si=3yJ0-zx0yZXinUb1
o Boomstick: But not before giving all the evidence he found on them to the CIA to expose their corruption, drop the charges on him, and bring justice to his family. Even better, after killing his former pal Ray, he found his hidden armory and stole the guns and armor for himself.
o Wiz: Not wanting criminals like his former friends and the gangs that ran while to cause any more harm or get away from the law, Frank Castle vowed that he would clean up the streets of New York City of all crime by any means necessary. On that night, Frank Castle died, and the Punisher was born.
o Boomstick: God damn that name makes the hairs on my skin stand upright. At least the name sounds both cool and scary at the same time.
o Wiz: You should be scared. In fact his one man war on crime would make even the worst of criminals go crawling back to their mommies, as the Punisher utilized everything he's learned from his days in the military as well as his time fighting alongside other anti-heroes like Moon Knight and Blade.
o Boomstick: He's a master at hand to hand combat and knows several martial arts. Including Krav Maga, Systema, ninjutsu, Shorin-ryu Karate, Nash Ryu Jujutsu and several more. He's battled master martial artists like Black Widow, Daredevil, and Wolverine, all of whom are regarded as the best hand to hand fighters in the Marvel Universe.
o Wiz: But his most preferred method of killing is with firearms. He's mastered every type of weapon that has ever existed, making him one of the most skilled firearms fighters in comic book history. If there is a weapon out there, you can bet that Franks has used it at least once in his life.
o Boomstick: Eat your heart out John Wick, make way for the real Boogeyman killer.
https://youtu.be/d2M5ObsKw4Y?si=HH8HNjLB5TSmKoUm
o Wiz: Thanks to the collection of guns that he has hoarded thanks to his old Cerberus pals and the ones he “borrowed” from the deceased mobsters he’s killed, he always has exactly what he needs.
o Boomstick: He carries an assortment of firearms like pistols, sub machine guns, rocket launchers, snipers, crossbows,, the usual. But if he needs to get up close and personal with his foes, he also has multiple knives and swords he carries around as well. And since he's a scary badass, he can also use his bare fists to beat some within the inch of their life.
o Wiz: But he never goes to a fight unprepared, and usually comes wearing his signature bulletproof vest on his chest and torso, which has helped him absorb the impact from firearm projectiles and shrapnel from explosions.
o Boomstick: And for some extra scari-ness, he painted a huge skull over the vest's front in order to strike fear into the hearts of his enemies before he slaughtered them like a famished human at an all you can eat buffet.
o Wiz: This gimmick has earned Franks a fearsome reputation during his crusade to rid the world of crime one gang at a time, and it wasn’t long before everyone from the streets of New York to all across the world began to know and fear the name: The Punisher.
https://youtu.be/LptyGSwuwys?si=KW_WhKVqFnoyzV3B
o Boomstick: Though as you'd might expect, his method of bad cop and even badder cop interrogation and crime solving methods, were way too extreme for the multiple heroes he came in contact with.
o Wiz: This has brought him into conflict with multiple different goody toe shoe superheroes, like Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Spiderman just to name a view. Heck, even the Avengers, the most positive team of heroes in the world, believed The Punisher to be an extremely loose cannon.
o Boomstick: No surprise there, since he matched both the likes of Wolverine and Deadpool in combat, and those guys have been through some crazy amount of pain in their lifetimes.
o Wiz: Being a hardcore one man army of pain, it's no surprise Frank’s accomplishments match the expectations. He's equaled Daredevil in combat, stabbed the Hulk in the eye using Hawkeye’s bow and arrows, Resisted Ghost Rider's Penance Stare, Captured a mutated Spider-Man, and went toe to toe with the Dark Knight himself: Batman.
o Boomstick: Yeah, it’s no surprise that those two didn’t get along when they first met. He also has an extreme tolerance of pain. I mean he still feels pain, but his serve will and drive to surprise simply overrides it.
https://youtu.be/HisY80gyh-U?si=VKtuDqd_AXTUUviG
o Wiz: When he was kidnapped by the Irish Mobsters, Frank went through an enormous amount of pain as they tortured him for the whereabouts of their stolen money. Most men would have been long dead or cracked under pressure, but not this man, for being captured was all part of his plan to get them all in one spot to take them all out with a bomb he planted.
o Boomstick: And he still had enough to walk and kill his way to freedom, though he did need some help from his fremey Daredevil.
o Wiz: Not deadly enough for you, how about the time when he was in prison looking to assassinate another person responsible for his family’s death, and Fisk wanted to take him out of the equation by releasing an entire row of criminals to take him.
o Boomstick: This man killed every single last one of those guys all on his own, and still had the strength to walk up to the Kingpin’s cell just to spit in his face. DAMN, THIS GUY IS AN ABSOLUTE TANK.
o Wiz: Not even The Russian, the most feared and deadly enforcer in all of the Motherlands could take him down. Sure he roughed him up a bit, but all Frank needed to take him down was a hot pizza and obese neighbor of his. And after his untimely demise, Frank brought the head of his foe to the entire crime syndicate that sent him to kill him, and every soldier on their payroll made the smartest decision ever: Drop their weapons and head for the hills.
o Boomstick: And thanks to his time in the military, he’s also a super smart strategist, leading his enemies into traps he set for them or outsmarting them by making them split up and taking them out one by one.
https://youtu.be/398KfGNDuhc?si=Zg6r6Eip86ZR-LAk
o Wiz: But not everyone who has heard of him fears him. In some people’s minds, Frank Castle is a hero, taking care of the people that are ignored by certain heroes and doing what they wouldn’t be able to do. But despite the blood shed, Frank still possesses the compassion and love of any deceit man.
o Boomstick: It’s what made him help protect a runaway teen from an evil cult chasing after her and giving the hush money he took from the mob to give to his neighbors living in a run down apartment building so that they could move out and start a better life somewhere else. At this point, hard to not to say that the Punisher isn't superhuman?
o Wiz: Oh on the contrary Boomstick, he's still definitely a full blooded human and that brings all the downfalls you can expect from someone constantly fighting against criminals.
o Boomstick: His scarred and beaten body is all proof you need, and he is always adding a new scar to his collection.
o Wiz: And other than his loyal dog Max by his side, Frank usually prefers to fly solo on his missions, mainly due to the fact that very few individuals agree with his methods of shoot first and ask questions later.
https://youtu.be/qEHkfnlrlas?si=H5ZJRIb568O4qTO4
o Boomstick: But he’s always willing to team up with people who share the same goals as he does like Blade, Moon Knight, and Morbius the living vampire. Sheesh, only a cold blooded killer would be willing to work with the likes of that guy.
o Wiz: But underneath all the blood and guns lies the heart of a good man, who is willing to go to great lengths to keep his community safe and make sure no evil is around to poison or corrupt it.
o Boomstick: Because Frank always knows the difference between a good person and a bad person, and he’ll do everything in his power and arsenal to keep the good people safe and sound in their homes and put the bad ones in the graves where they belong.
o Wiz: Indeed. So be warned, if you ever see a shadow moving through the darkness, and see a man with a skull plastered across his chest, RUN. Because Frank Castle, The Punisher is out to get you.
o Boomstick: And if you are a bad guy, chances are…you are not leaving here alive.
o Finn Cooley: You wanted this.
o Frank: No, I counted on it, now I can ask you face to face, who was there that day? Who killed my family?
o Finn: Your family?
o Frank: Yeah
o Finn: Who cares?
o Frank shoots Finn dead in the head.
Pre-Fight:[]
Wiz: All right the combatants are set, lets end this debate once and for all.
Boomstick: It's time for a DEATH BATTLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fight[]
Inside the Home Mart hardware, Robert McCall is getting ready to work the night shift as the last of the employees leave to go home.
Employee 1: Okay Robert, i’m heading home for the night, see you tomorrow!
Robert: Goodnight son, see you later.
As the employee exits the building, Robert begins pushing a dolly field with supplies to stack on the shelves. As he is working, he hears a crash from one of the isles and goes to check it out. He peeks around a corner and sees one of a man getting interrogated by Frank Castle, The Punisher, who has a knife to his head.
Frank: I’m only going to ask you one last time, WHERE IS YOUR BOSS.
Random Guy: I told you man, I don’t know.
Frank: And I told you I don’t believe you.
Suddenly, a saw blade, thrown by Robert, rips past them both, knocking the knife out of The Punisher’s hand and allowing the man to run away.
Frank: What the heck man, that was only lead to get in touch with the Mafia.
Robert: I think you need to be more polite with your methods, son.
Frank: And I think you need to mind your own business, pops.
Frank pulls out a gun from his hand to intimidate Robert, but the Equalizer is unfazed from the sight of the weapon.
Frank: So it’s gonna be like that huh?
Robert: I guess so.
Frank starts more firing his gun at Robert, who is able to dodge and run from the bullets, hiding behind a blocked aisle for cover. Robert then reaches his hand underneath one of the shelves and pull out a hand gun that he had stored in their for emergencies. He then starts firing at the Punisher, who hides behind a forklift truck for cover.
After several rounds of shots, Robert gets grazed in the arm by one of Frank’s shots, but it’s not enough to cause any real damage. The Punisher runs out from his hiding spot and moves to another aisle to take several shots at what he thought was Robert. But The Equalizer had already anticipated this, and created a makeshift dummy to trick Frank into using up all his ammo before he crawled under a wood shelf to new position. Frank runs over to check the body, only to see that what he shot was a fake.
Frank: What the…
Robert: Looking for me.
The Punisher turns around and sees Robert behind the pile of wood with his new shotgun. Frank leaps out of the way as Robert fires his shots and as Frank runs for cover behind another aisle. Robert looks up at the overview mirror on the wall, and stops a glimpse of Frank's shadow, deducing where he is hiding. He aims his gun at the right object on the shelve and fires, knocking the boxes item off the shelf. It lands on the Punishers head, causing him to "oof" in pain and stumble out of his hiding spot. Before he realized his mistake, Robert jumps out and fire three bullets from his gun, hitting Frank in the chest. Luckily, his bulletproof vest absorbed the impact, and he only falls to the ground, and crawls to safety, while Robert continues to fire and hit his target. The Punisher pulled out and threw a smoke grenade in Robert’s direction, covering his line of fire. Although blinded at first, the Equalizer finds a house fan, takes it out of the box to assemble it, and uses it to clear the smoke. When it clears, Robert sees Frank, who has now armed himself with an assault rifle.
Frank: Peek-a-Boo.
Robert tried to fire another bullet, but he heard a clicking sound, and realized that his gun had run out of bullets. Robert dropped the shotgun and quickly runs down an aisle. Franks hears him drops his gun and chases after him, firing his gun at him. Robert continues to flee and maneuver through different aisle as Frank fires different shots to try and hit him, but Roberts proof to be faster than he looks. Franks aims his gun carefully and fires it, and is able to graze Robert in his shoulder twice before he jumps behind a shelf to another aisle. Robert quickly covers his wound to prevent the bleeding and looks around to see where he is at. After realizing he's in an area that houses some medical equipment, he leap behind some Christmas trees, just as Frank pops his head around.
Frank: You can't hide from me forever, one way or another, I will catch you.
From behind the Christmas trees, The Equalizer has found the medicine box and is using it to patch up his wounds. Robert looks behind the tree and sees Frank looking for him. But the rustling of the trees gives away his position, and Franks opens fire on the trees, forcing Robert to roll under the shelves to escape. Then Robert takes a deep breath and began to visualize hi perception. As time began to slow down, he started to observe Frank's movements and his weapon, to try and anticipate his next moves.
Robert (thought): That looks like a AR-C Assault Rifle, which hold about capacity to 10 or 15 rounds. He's movement is tense, he knows I'm not to be taken lightly, and wouldn't hesitate to shoot me. If psych him out enough, I'll make him run out of bullets.
Robert then sets his time for two minutes and grabs some supplies from various shelves to use to aid him. As Frank walks around the hall way looking for Robert, he heard a tussle from behind him and fired his gun, only to realize that it just some rats running around the hall. But he then hears a whistle from behind, and he turns around to see Robert with another Glock and a nail gun with him as weapons, and starts rapidly firing his handgun. To avoid being hit, the Punisher ducks and fires off his rifle, intending to take down the Equalizer as fast he can. Seeing the vigilante unloading a barrage of bullets, Robert leapt to the side, hiding behind a shelf wall and waiting until the bullets stopped firing. He then fires several bullets from his Glock, grazing Franks shoulder and leg in the process. But the Punisher pushes through the pain and fires some rounds from his assault rifle, hitting the Equalizer in the leg and knocks his Glock out of his hand. As he patches up his wounds. Robert than peeked around to Frank messing with his gun, indicating that his gun was jammed.
With lighting fast reflexes, Robert jumped out and fired his nail gun at Frank, one hitting him in his chest plate, slightly piercing it, the other in his shoulder, but gets logged in him from the padding on his vest. Now angered even further, Frank yanked out the nails out and pulled out a grenade from his belt, ready to throw it again. But the Equalizer uses his nail gun to knock the grenade of out Frank's hand before he could pull the pin out. Robert runs from out of his hiding spot and fires a nail into the side of Frank's vest to distract him before punching him in the face. Frank retaliated with a punch of his own, and tried for another, but Robert caught it and twisted his arm to the side, making him punch some potted plants again.
Frank the clubs Robert in the side of the face the blunt end of his rifle, before Robert counter by jabbing his elbow on the Punisher's wounded shoulder. The Punisher groaned in pain before Robert grabbed a plank of wood to knock him in the leg, making Frank to fall unto the ground. Robert tried to shoot him again with his nail gun, but the Punisher quickly locked his legs around Robert's leg, rolling to the side to twist him off balance and tripping him. As the Equalizer crashes through a glass table to the floor, Frank got back up and pulled out his combat knife and lifted it above his head at Robert.
Frank: Light's out old man.
But Robert reacted quicker grabbing a shard of glass and jabbed it into Frank's chest, enough to pierce through the vest and cut him. As Frank cried out in pain, Robert got back to his feet and ran away as fast as he could to another aisle to hide. Frank pulled out the glass and fired more bullets from his reloaded assault rifle. One bullet hit Robert's leg as he was turning into one of the aisle. Frank ran towards the aisle to get Robert, but by the time he got there, he was gone. Frank walked down isle looking for Robert, while he hide behind some boxes to patch up his wounds. As Frank got the end of the aisle and back to the main walk way, he was startled by a sudden noise and turned to see that it was just a can of paint that fell of the shelf. But he soon realized that it was a trick, and turned around, only to be bet by a plow to the face by Robert and plank of wood, causing him to fall to the ground.
Robert: Surprise, dumbass.
With his wounds patched up, Robert had gotten his hands back on the nail gun, just as Frank spotted the grenade on the floor that he had lost earlier. Before Robert could attack him, Frank grabbed the bomb, pulled the pin out, and threw it at the Equalizer. But Robert took another deep breath and his surrounding started to slow down. He looked at the nearby clock on the wall and started timing the seconds it took for the grenade to get to him and started looking for anything he could us against it. He then spotted a garden gnome statue and picked it up to use a bat to hit the grenade right back at Frank. But the grenade ended up getting caught in and umbrella and unleashed the explosion that knocked both men backwards. Both men are sent flying backward, as the entire store rumbles from the shockwave of the explosion.
Robert: Man, how am I going to explain this to everyone tomorrow?
As Robert got to his feet and picked up his weapons, he spotted Frank aiming his rifle at him and with another grenade in his hand, ready for another attack. The Equalizer reacted faster and fired two shots from both his weapon. The shot from the handgun struck the rifle first, knocking it upward right when Frank fired it, making him miss his target. The second fired from the nail gun, knocked the grenade out of Frank's hand, making it roll away out of sight. With the rifle still in hand, Frank aimed it Robert to finish him off. But then heard a beeping sound from Robert's watch and a clicking sound from his rifle, indicating that he had finally run out of bullets.
Frank: Aw Crap.
Robert: What's the matter, out of ammo for your weapons already?
Frank: Ammo, maybe. Weapons, hell no.
Frank pulled out another grenade and threw it towards Robert, right as he grabbed a long, wide plank of wood to protect himself with and moved to the center of the hallway. As the grenade exploded, the Equalizer was rocketed backward. Luckily, thanks to him standing in the right position, he ended up landing on the several inflatable pool toys that softened his landing.
Robert: I am so glad we decided to bring out that Summer equipment early this year.
As Robert struggled to his feet, he looked up and saw the Punisher armed with two Machine Pistols aimed straight at him, with a smile on his face. Robert threw the plank of at Frank as a distraction, quickly made a run for cover as he avoided the hail of bullets coming at him. He picking under a shelf to reveal another hidden stash of weapons, the Equalizer pulls out his own M3 Shotgun, swung around his hiding spotted and aimed his weapon precisely into Frank's chest armor. Although it did not break the armor, the force from the shot was enough to knock Frank off balance and make him shoot off-course from him. He ended up hitting the power box against the wall, making the light go out and visibility worse.
Both men struggle to find each other as they look around each the darkened area, but both of them are prepared for this. The Punisher reaches into a bag he is carrying and pulls out his night vision goggles, allowing him to see in the darkness. The Equalizer, on the other hand, sets his watch to five minutes, knowing that is how long it will take to for the emergency power to kick back on. He pulled out his phone to use its flashlight, but cover the light with his hand to prevent the light from blowing his cover. He looked to see what he hand around him to work with and began silently pulling stuff of the shelves to work. Meanwhile, Franks is silently tip toeing across the ground with his guns ready to fire. He hears a crash coming from one of the aisle and goes to check it out. He turns a corner, and hears something crack underneath his boot. He looks down and sees a bunch of brokens vases, making him believe that Robert had passed through there recently.
Frank: You can't hide in here forever old man.
Suddenly, a heavy object comes falling down from the top shelf and slams onto Frank's head, knocking him to the ground. Frank picks himself up and sees that it was a large bag of mulch dirt that fell on him. He looks up and sees Robert's hands vanishes from behind the top shelf, indicating that he set up the vases a trap to lure the Punisher to his position. Angered, Frank looks around rapidly until he spots a figure running down the hall way, revealed to be the Equalizer. He chases after Robert, firing his guns and destroying multiple objects across the shelfs of the aisle. As Frank turns around the next aisle, he trips over a rope tied across the ground and falls to the ground. Before he can pick himself up, Robert pushes the entire shelf down from behind him and it collapse on top of Frank.
Robert: Not bad for an old man.
Robert silently begins to move away from his current position, hoping to stay hidden long enough to escape from Frank. But But Frank uses all of his strength to push the heavy material off of him and resume his chase. However, not wanting to make the same mistake again, Frank decided to take a different approach, and gets down on the ground to army crawl his way across the ground to avoid being seen and observing his surrounding from ground level to spot his target. Think he is in the clear, Robert turns around the corner of the next aisle to catch his breath, only to come face to face with a very angry and very dirty Frank Castle, who had snuck up from the other side of the aisle to catch him by surprise with his machine pistols.
Frank: Looks like this hide and seek game is over. I found you, didn't I?
Robert: Yeah, but one might say i was seeking you out for the right moment.
Frank: Huh?
Just as Robert's watch starts to beep, the emergency power kicks in and the light come back own. This causes Frank to be blinded by the lights and stumble backwards due to the overwhelming lights. After he throws off his goggles, he sees Robert aiming his shotgun at him and he ducks behind a refrigerator to start firing his machine pistols. As the fire their weapons, some of their bullets bounce off each other, while others barely fly past past them. Robert gets another shot when Frank goes to reload his guns and shoots at some lightbulbs, scattering the glass and blinding Frank temporally as he shoots aimlessly.
Robert dodges the shots and is able to get closer enough to Frank without him noticing, hitting him multiple times before disarming him. He grab ones of the fallen guns and tries to shoot Frank, but the Punisher grabs his wrist and twist it, causing the shot to miss and go off into the ceiling. Robert hits Frank with a headbutt, before kicking him in the chest and delivering a combination of punches. Frank grabs Robert's head and slams him into a lawn chair, causing it to smash to pieces and Robert to fall to the ground. Before he could get away, The Punisher reach down and lifts the Equalizer up by the collar of his shirt, slamming against an pillar. But Robert reach back with his free hand to jab his hand into Frank's face, managing to wrestle his way free and kick Frank back into a wooden chair, smashing it as he feel to the ground.
The two men get to their feet and attempt to fire their guns, only to realize that both of them dropped their weapons in the ensuing struggle. Looking around for something to fight, and Franks grabs a long wood axe while Robert grabs reaches for a sledgehammer.
Robert: What do you say we settle this the old fashion way for once.
Frank: On that, I agree.
Both of the run towards each other and swing their weapons at each other as the clang against themselves. Franks swings his axe and cuts his shirt and skin before going to kick him, but Robert grabs his leg and twist it to the side, causing Frank to stumble to the ground as Robert lifts up his hammer to bring it down on Frank. But the Punisher rolls out of the way just in time and uses the curved part of the axe to reach around Roberts leg and trip him when he pulls it. Now its Frank's turn to swing his weapon at his opponent, but the Equalizer blocks the axe with the pole of his hammer and shoves him backwards. Robert springs up and grabs Frank by his coat and and slams him headfirst against a nearby wall, making Frank bleed from his forehead.
Frank swings his axe again, this time striking Robert in the leg, bring him to his knee and providing Frank with another opportunity for a blow to the head. But the Equalizer drops his weapon and grabs his arm with hands and twist it to the side to disarm him. Robert kicks the axe to side and grabs the sledgehammer again and slams it onto the Punisher's foot, breaking it. Robert tries to hit him again with the hammer, but dodges the attack and then grabbed the handle of the hammer. The two men then start to wrestle with each other for control over the weapon. Frank headbutts Robert in the face, breaking his nose and distracting him long enough for him to grab his fallen axe and charge in for another attack. Although the Equalizer blocks the attack with the handle of his sledge hammer, he can hear the wood beginning to snap from being impaled by the axe. As Robert struggled to hold back Frank and prevent his injured leg from giving out on him, he came up with one last minute idea to safe himself. As the handle of the hammer snapped in half, Robert stabbed Frank with the sharpened end and prepared to hit him over the head with the hammer end. But Frank fought through the pain and caught the hammer in his hand and used the hand holding the axe to stab Robert in his shoulder. As Robert screamed in pain, letting go of the hammer end of the handle to cover his wound, Frank grabbed the hammer and flipped it around to use the hammer for himself. First he slammed it against Robert's knee, breaking it, and as he fell to the ground, he slammed it onto the Equalizer's right hand, shattering it. With his opponent crippled, Frank lifted up the hammer to deliver the finishing blow. In a fury of rage, the Punisher bludgeoned his hammer down onto the Equalizer's head, killing him in a matter of minutes.
Frank: She you in hell old timer.
Frank then grabbed a fallen piece of wood and uses it as a cane to help him walk down the hall of Homemart towards the exit.

Boomstick: Ugh, clean up on aisle...Everywhere.
Wiz: This fight was definitely an intense one and almost even one. Both were extremely skilled killer in hand to hand combat and weaponry due to their decades of training. Robert was more cunning and calculated, while Frank was more vicious and violent. And while both would go straight for the kill win given the opportunity, Robert usually needed time to plan for his battles, unlike Frank, who is more than ready to improvise before or during his fight.
Boomstick: Plus Frank has taken on fare worse threats than anything Robert has dealt with. Heck, Frank eats mobsters and corrupt cops for breakfast, and deals with supervillains for dinner.
Wiz: Robert may may have been an expert martial artist, but Frank has actually practiced several of the same styles Robert has, and more, being shown to be just as skilled of a fighter as his opponent, even defeating master martial artists like Daredevil and Iron Fist.
Boomstick: And Frank has access to a larger amount of deadlier weapons at his disposal, while Robert only carries a small amount or tends to use the items around him for his weapons, which could only protect him for so long against a threat like the Punisher.
Wiz: While Robert is known for using his environment to their advantage, and having the skills for stealth and disarming his opponents, so is Frank Castle. So neither could rely on that skillset alone to pull them through.
Boomstick: Not to mention, Franks pushed through more pain than anything Robert could dish off. While Frank could mow down a gang of mobsters after being tortured by them for hours, Robert had to take out his mobster before the torture could even begin, because he knew he could not afford to get hurt in order to take them all down. After all, the guy is in his 60s, so not really in his prime like Frank is.
Wiz: And even though Robert had a knack for anticipate his opponents every move, Frank is anything but predictable and is more than ready to improvise his fighting styles mid-fight to give himself the advantage. He's a very unorthodox fighter and could catch Robert off guard.
Boomstick: This definitely wasn’t an “equal” matchup for Robert, and Frank “punished” him for it
Wiz: The winner is Frank Castle, The Punisher.
