The Dog is the main antagonist of the 2017 creepypasta-styled VR game Duck Season. It is first a sprite that appears in the seemingly innocent game of Duck Season, tricking the player into shooting it instead of the ducks, but becomes increasingly aggressive and dangerous towards the player. Eventually, it exits the game into the real world, appearing as a man in a dog costume that will attempt to murder the player, presumably as revenge for shooting him in-game.

    • It should also be noted that The Dog has to risk this happening every time he uses the virtual world, where is where his main source of power comes from.
  • As shown in the near end of the game, The Dog shows to be effective by the Duck season controller which he didn't flinched after being shot however after couple of shots, a glow surrounded him presuming his death resulting a explosion of red block's everywhere on the living room (Presume Blood).
  • In the "Best Men" Ending, he is killed by the police using rapid-fire guns, while most other guns, like the shotgun when it's not golden, cannot kill him, or at least in the virtual world.
  • Was killed by David in the "Canon Ending".
  • Some of his abilities require him to be in the Duck Season as he is unable to perform most of these in real-life, making him more vulnerable, however he can force people into the game.

Trivia[]

  • The Dog is based on the one from the 1984 Nintendo game "Duck Hunt".
  • The Dog costume has had more than one person in it for live-action content. This can be figured out if you read the post a Duck Season creator posted, the same one that disproved the Dad Is the Dog Theory, click this, David's Father, and scroll down on the page to see the theory.
