Description[]
Amphibia VS Sonic! Ancient beings of great power imagining themselves as gods or greater is what today’s combatants are. One took a human girl as a host while the other was trapped within a mechanical titan. Taking the forms of moons at their strongest will be required in this battle however. Will the End come for the Core or will the End be assimilated into the Core?
Intro[]
Wiz: The moon has always been watching over the Earth. It orbits around the planet after all. Plenty of people look up to it every night and says goodbye to it in the morning. Some moons in the vast multiverse are however not as lifeless as ours. They are instead determined to destroy the planet beneath them.
Boomstick: Not sure if calling todays combatants moons is the right call. They may be able to take the shape of a moon after abandoning their current weaker hosts but these ancient creatures should really be called planet busters or world conquerors. It’s no wonder the super-Saiyan rip-offs of their respective worlds decided to smash these celestial golf balls into dust.
Wiz: The Core, The Hive Mind Amalgamation of Amphibia's Smartest Minds
Boomstick: and The End, The Ancient Entity That Exterminated The Ancients. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.
The Core[]
Wiz: I have a question for you Boomstick? If you had the means to live forever, would you choose to do so?
Boomstick: The answer is definitely not. I have seen too many movies about this that I know living forever would suck royally in the long run. Why do you ask Wiz? Does it have to do with one of this episode’s combatants?
Wiz: The ancient rulers of Amphibia does not share the same viewpoint on this subject as you do so they created something unnatural to be able to continue their legacy of multiversal conquest. Therefore the answer to your question is yes. They used the stolen resources of conquered worlds to build something monstrous that would one day in the future almost destroy the very land they stood upon. What they built was The Core.
Boomstick: Building a giant machine and inserting the consciousnesses of the greatest minds and kings obsessed with multiversal dominion throughout the ages screams bad news from a mile away. Fortunately for the multiverse, the box used to power their weaponry and dimensional hopping was stolen. Unfortunately, the Calamity Box eventually fell into the tentacles of The Core several centuries later prompting the invasions to begin once again.
Wiz: It is no exaggerating to call this hivemind of conquerors pure evil. As an amalgamation of countless extremely manipulative and intelligent creatures, The Core is one of the greatest villains ever to have existed within Amphibia. There is a big problem however. Most people do not even know it exists anymore.
Boomstick: Kind of sucks that the only one that knows nowadays of this mechanical thing hiding in the basement of Newtopia castle is the current King of Amphibia that has been gaslighted for thousands of years to do its bidding when the Calamity Box makes its presence known as prophesized. I guess it equally sucks for the hivemind to be stuck in the basement twiddling their tentacle thumbs for equally as long waiting impatiently to continue strip the multiverse of resources Captain Planet villain style.
Wiz: Angering this impressive but also terrifying invention is not smart Boomstick. The Core is arrogant enough to believe itself a god and looks down on every other lifeform to the point that it sees nothing wrong with wiping out entire worlds in order to increase the prosperity of its Amphibian empire. It will kill your simply for insulting it so you better not say those words ever when in close proximity to this murderous hivemind.
Boomstick: Being scared of a piece of junk filled with the minds of genocidal geezers stuck in the basement of some dingy castle is something I could never become. That is unless the castle starts hoovering into the sky and points its laser cannon of death my way. I would be gone the moment the castle starts to move a single inch.
Wiz: This is indeed what happened when The Core regained control of the Calamity Box and used it to reactivate the hidden and forgotten features of Newtopia Castle. The castle is actually an advanced flying fortress capable of dimension hopping that the Core controls the entirety of from where it is plugged into the structure. With a single thought, it can unleash its main energy cannon to destroy a giant tower or almost the entirety of the mountain with the Hollywood sign in a giant blue explosion.
Boomstick: It gets even worse as it can also deploy an annoying energy shield capable of withstanding multiple tank missiles and 2 Godzilla-sized Herons to cause citywide destruction. Even if one could get inside to sabotage it, multiple tentacles ready to slice one to pieces and mechanical eyes capable of creating digital illusions of one’s greatest fears stationed throughout the castle makes this a real pain in the ass to accomplish. This plus the appropriately named army of frog robots called “Frobots” makes it clear that going against this unnatural amalgamation is a freaking death sentence.
Wiz: Frobo the rouge Frobot has already been analyzed in a previous death battle but the other models utilized by The Core are nothing to scoff at either. The darkish colored main units all possess flight thrusters, a plasma blaster, flight speed capable of reaching orbit in seconds, and 2 more hidden laser weapons in their backsides. The other models are admittedly more varied in design and abilities except for the royal guard variant which looks like the regular model but with a lance and shield instead of a blaster.
Boomstick: Some might look a bit goofy like the Bulldozer and Drill variants but don’t for a second assume you can underestimate these mechanical frogs of war. This should be obvious with the flamethrower variants as well as the kaiju sized ones capable of unleashing giant missiles and groups of tadpole-like underlings. Having a giant frogbot dresses as a judge wielding a cartoonishly gigantic mallet is the prime example of a really weird looking Frobot. Guess the evil geezers in the core have a sick sense of humor with how they judge the inhabitants of Amphibia for not agreeing with multiversal genocide.
Wiz: The Core really should have realized destroying almost all of Amphibia for resources to conquer Earth would not make it very popular with the populace. Its last and most impressive model of Frobot however is perfect for spying or assassinating anyone opposed to its rule. The Cloak-Bot certainly can take more punishment than the other models since most Frobots can be fatally injured by powerful sword strikes.
Boomstick: Cloak-Bot is what you would get if a Predator and frog-shaped robot had a baby. Naturally that comes with an awesome camouflaging mode to blend into its surroundings and a self-repair function to fix obvious broken parts. Other functions of the predfrog bot is a laser blaster, a pair of stretchy arms, dragonfly-like drones, and a self-destruction bomb capable of parting large cloud formations. These explosions are freaking massive as one single predator expy going boom in space could be seen for miles in every direction by the ground level spectators. If you can get past the group of these metallic menaces guarding the Cores inner sanctum, one should have an easy time turning the metallic unmoving sphere body of the Core into scrap.
Wiz: That is sort of true. Since The Cores true form is a giant multi-eyed spherical robot with robotic tentacles and glowing orange eyes, it is also not very mobile and would be easy to smash if one got past all the defenses already mentioned. Unfortunately, The Core is well aware of this little design flaw and got itself a more fitting vessel to inhabit in a shockingly brutal way.
Boomstick: …………… God was that scene eerie to watch the first time and it has not gotten better on repeat viewings. I can’t help but winch in pain anytime I think of that poor kid getting that mechanical helmet placed on top of her head before being forcibly possessed and letting out one of the most horrible screams of pain I have ever head. Marcy Wu seriously needs some therapy in the future especially after that time she was literally stabbed in the back. How Disney allowed a child to be stabbed with a sword through the chest on screen in a kids show baffles me to this day.
Wiz: Don’t ask me Boomstick. There are things even science and logic cannot easily explain. What can be explained however is the reason for using Marcy Wu as a host body through the helmet and armor forced upon her. Of the 3 humans that accidentally activated the Calamity Box and transported the three of them and the box to Amphibia, Marcy is the most intelligent making her the most suitable host body. Her being part of a prophecy along with the other 2 that states they would destroy The Core certainly also helped this decision.
Boomstick: While being smart enough to learn a dead language in only 3 weeks and redesigning the entire sewer system of Newtopia would gain the attention of a hivemind obsessed with absorbing intelligence, having enough speed and durability to dodge lasers and survive point blank explosions was probably something that made this girl even more fitting to possess. It acquiring Marcys absurd clumsiness and personality quirks was probably not as appreciated however as they took control of this poor girl and named themselves…………….Darcy? That’s not a very clever name.
Wiz: Apparently Darcy came up with the name based on something from Marcys favorite videogame. Her new dark armor certainly looks like something Marcy would have loved if it weren’t for the fact that it was used to control her. Along with this armor comes a laser dagger for stabbing unlucky opponents and a laser scythe for dueling experienced close-combat enemies. These weapons along with all the mechanical tentacles and illusion eyes throughout the castle made Darcy a difficult combatant to beat for experienced fighters like Sasha and Grime.
Boomstick: Sasha AKA the Zuko of the series is strong enough to kick apart metal and stone, slice robots and lava monsters to dust even with severe intense gravity, and outrun missiles. There is also Grime who has a Warhammer capable of knocking kaiju sized monsters out with a single knock to the head. Darcy keeping the upper hand by almost killing Sasha despite the girl getting a second wind and blocking the Warhammer with a couple of tentacles before cutting Grimes arm off is kind of bonkers since these are both seasoned warriors by this point as well as fan-favorites.
Wiz: This might make it seems like Darcy is invincible but this is far from the truth as she shares a fatal weakness with The Cores previous metallic body. In order to control the flying fortress, The Core still needs to be connected to it at all times and therefore when it transferred itself into the helmet on Marcys’s head; it had a cable installed in the back of the helmet connecting the hivemind to the castle. Slicing this cable in two takes out both Darcy and the Newtopia castle with a single attack by breaking their connection.
Boomstick: After going through a murder castle filled with traps, robots, and a possessed child dressed like a Power Rangers villain, one would think this would finally signal victory over this mechanical monstrosity. The answer is a big no no however as this thing is a sore loser. That’s what Sasha called it and I fully agree with this statement. Rage quitting and sending the moon crashing down onto the planet bellow is just overkill.
Wiz: Overkill is the right word to describe this. Finding out how The Core both augmented that helmet it transferred itself into with rocket thrusters powerful enough to reach space in a couple of seconds and Amphibia’s moon into becoming a mechanical marvel of death once the helmet has been inserted into it is not something I would say no to however. The Core might be arrogant but there also is no denying their great skills with engineering.
Boomstick: Less fanboying about the Majoras Mask rip-off and more actual analyzing Wiz. We don’t have all day you know.
Wiz: Just because I am impressed by its engineering does not mean I am fanboying Boomstick. Taking control of the moon and causing it to crash into the planet is not something I would ever try. Such an impact would most likely cause gravity to go haywire along with total destruction of the entire planet as well. Does not mean however that I can’t get new ideas for inventions of my own from watching those rocket thrusters installed on the moon or the army of mechanical creatures hidden within it.
Boomstick: Not going to admit the time you’re experiments actually almost caused a robot invasion that threatened the entire world Wiz? Speaking of robots of mass destruction, these spacebots resembling prehistoric aquatic animals equipped with lasers of death look impressive I guess. Did not stop them all from becoming brutally stomped by the Powerpu……I mean Calamity girl trio.
Wiz: Anne along with the previously mentioned Sasha and Marcy tapping into the full power of the Calamity Box and the gems powering it when facing the moon army finally fulfilled their destiny to become prophesized warriors said to free Amphibia from The Cores grasp. It’s no wonder they managed to defeat The Core in the end when one realizes how strong those gems really are. A source of unlimited power is how they are described by multiple characters and them having been created by a multiversal guardian makes this statement very much true. The gems can open dimensional rifts, increase one’s physical attributes to superhuman levels, and help create Green Lantern-like energy constructs.
Boomstick: To give some credit to the evil golf ball, it was able to continue traveling toward Amphibia despite the Calamity trio and a couple of reprogramed Frobots trying to physically hold it back from reaching the planet. When the girls however combined all the remaining power in the gems into a Kamehameha of epic proportions, there was nothing The Core could do but be disintegrated into space dust. Very much a karmic death for a hivemind filled with genocidal idiots if you ask me.
Wiz: Pity is what I feel towards The Core and the people inside it. Despite its arrogant pride and tendency to lash out violent when things don’t go as planned, Marcy pointed out once free from its control that The Core most of all in this world fears change. The feeling of one day becoming obsolete and forgotten fueled its actions to obtain and use the Calamity box. Wanting immortality and one’s legacy to continue is a very human emotion that I can sympathize with.
Boomstick: None of that excuses its behavior in the slightest Wiz. Trying to have the King it had gaslighted for 1000 years into rescuing it near the moment of death by playing on his daddy issues is just low. Andrias breaking that mind-control crown is a big middle finger to daddy dearest inside The Core. I just wish I could do the same to my dad someday.
Wiz: It is as you say. Regardless of the reason for its actions, The Core is one of the evilest creatures to have ever lived in the land of Amphibia. Its actions would have put the entire Multiverse in peril if it had been successful.
The Core/Darcy: Why, hello there.
The End[]
Wiz: Endings are inevitable. Most people might try to deny it and do what they can do to avoid it but it will always be an futile effort. They are an important part of life after all. Humans and animals meet their end eventually. TV shows, books, and videogames come to end either satisfactory or controversially. Entire ways of life as well as various ancient cultures on this planet have meet their violent end. Endings are frightening so it makes sense we all try and avoid it for as long as we can muster.
Boomstick: Speaking of ancient civilizations Wiz, The Ancients from Sonic the Hedgehogs convoluted lore meet a different kind of an end. Now this alien race did have both their entire culture blow up in a fiery end and their population enter the endless silent sleep but it’s not this that I refer to. What caused the end of the Ancients was The End…………………….I am getting "That Man" flashbacks Wiz and that’s never a good sign.
Wiz: The End hopefully won’t cause you the same problems as with that little incident Boomstick. For those wondering what we meant by saying the Ancient’s destruction being caused by The End, lets introduce one of today’s combatants. The End is a malevolent entity that has traveled through space for eons exterminating all life on any planet it stumbles upon. You can’t run from it nor can you reason with it. The only thing this entity desires is the extermination of all life in the universe.
Boomstick: Fortunately for all of us little people living in this world, The Ends lust for destruction bit it in its nonexistent ass when it followed the remnants of the Ancients to the planet Earth. Being sealed away in an cyber-dimensional prison on another plane of existence must have really sucked. Unfortunately, the Ancient’s success in doing this lead to their extinction and even more unfortunately; a certain Baldy McNosehair had to meddle with the technology keeping it imprisoned 10,000 years later.
Wiz: To Eggman’s credit, him trying to take control of the advanced tech on the Starfall islands only activated the islands security systems. He did not actually unleash it on the world by mistake like he has done on a couple previous occasions with other godly entities of destruction.
Boomstick: That’s perhaps true but since this basically gave the genderless entity the perfect opportunity to manipulate the blue blur into freeing itself when he and his friends arrived on the island; Eggman is still kind of responsible for this whole mess isn’t he? When will this knuckleheaded mad scientist ever learn not to mess with ancient powers? The End is still however much worse than Eggman could ever become.
Wiz: Despite them both being highly arrogant and often taunting their opponents during battle, The End is indeed a much more frightening foe than anything Eggman could build. This is proven by its battle with the four massive robotic Titans built by the Ancients. Each one of these are powerful enough to effortlessly defeat Sonic unlike the End which the four could not beat even with their combined efforts.
Boomstick: Sonics supersonic speed and Eggman robot-breaking strength might not be enough to take those autonomous giant pilotable mechs on but they definitely are more than capable of utterly wrecking all the other robotic servants that the Ancients built. I guess we should analyze them next since The big E managed to take control of them after finally escaping its interdimensional prison. Which of the Guardian robots are your favorite Wiz?
Wiz: That’s a tough question Boomstick. All of these 18 types of robot bosses are mechanical marvels I would love to study. Excluding the normal robotic foot-soldier types that Sonic is able to easily destroy without much effort, I would have to say my answer to your question is the Ninja and all of its other variants due to their fascinating abilities like creating a clone of itself and possessing an energy shield.
Boomstick: Don’t forget their capability to take flight, shoot lasers, teleportation, and sharp sword-like arms. My favorite on the other hand is the Shark due to it literally being a robotic shark that can burrow underground and is armed with missiles. Sound like a match made in heaven unlike the Tower and all its variants. They are literally just hovering pillars that can fire lasers or explosive spikes. Nowhere close to being as cool as The Shark or the Spider and Squids arsenal and abilities.
Wiz: A lot of these do seem named after things that can be found in our own world. There is the giant Asura with its force field generators, Sumo and its detachable earth-shaking arms, Ghost and its energy draining tethers, and Tank who can create whirlwinds strong enough to send one flying up into the air. There is a couple more abilities the ones already mentioned has that we have yet to talk about as well as more Guardians but let’s leave this matter for now to discuss The Ends most powerful robotic servant.
Boomstick: Who needs any more puny Guardians when you have a massive kaiju sized mech equipped with an equally insanely large energy rifle AKA Supreme AKA the strongest of the four Titans. The Ancients basically sealing the big E in cyberspace trapped within the metal husk of Supreme equals a very pissed off deity more than ready to continue its galaxy-slaughter road trip with its sweet new firearm capable of rapid firing laser blasts at annoying hedgehogs.
Wiz: Having a powerful laser riffle is not the only thing Supreme has in its possession. There are also all the sentries accompanying it that can respawn if they are destroyed. The seven smaller tetrahedron-shaped sentries fire waves of yellow energy laser spheres while the two large octahedron-shaped sentries fires giant lasers capable of forcing Super Sonic on the defensive. If both sentries and the sniper riffle at any moment are unavailable for use, Supreme can simply rely on the seven golden homing shots that it can shoot from its eyes or attack with its massive mechanical claws.
Boomstick: Very awesome and destructive as I want all my giant robots to be. It’s certainly the most impressively built of the Titans and that has nothing to do with it probably being able to tank being thrown into a mountain like fellow titan Wyvern even if this is bonkers in its own right. What I am speaking about however is it literally becoming a high-tech angel of death when using its laser emitters to create giant laser wings for flight and volleys of deadly lasers for totally obliterating the competition. Flight is possible for Supreme without doing this but it’s certainly more fun this way.
Wiz: With all of the things mentioned, it should not be a surprise that Sonics Chaos Emerald transformation Super Sonic had the hardest time dealing with this Titan when compared to the rest. Super Sonic victory is not that big of a shock however seeing as he has fought the time and space destroying deity Solaris as well as the planet cracking entity Dark Gaia. Coming out on top with some assistance necessary in both cases does not make Super Sonic look any less capable in the eyes of the fans.
Boomstick: Super Sonic really should need no introduction if you are at all invested in the Sonic franchise. Being able to go super hedgehog guarantees victory any time it is used with the transformation’s invulnerability to most kind of attacks foolishly coming his way. Going up against The Ends true form is another story all together though which Sonic learned the hard way as it left Supremes metal husk in order to show the might of its true form.
Wiz: For those wondering why this entity is such a big threat to someone that has beat godly entities before, the answer might shock you. A single giant laser generated by it can cleave a planet in half and all of its other laser-based attacks are powerful enough to bypass Super Sonics invulnerability. 2 or 3 hits from its barrage of laser bullets are enough to totally obliterate the combined effort of Super Sonic and Eggman’s newest AI Sage operating Supreme.
Boomstick: Sound extremely terrifying even if its appearance does not match its destructive malice. Did Sega really think designing a cosmic space entity as a giant moon to be the best way of creating dread? Laughter and disbelief are the feelings going through my head every time I look at the supposed space Cthulhu’s true horrifying form.
Wiz: The End might look like a moon to Sonic and friends but that’s only what they perceive it to look like. Anyone that gazes upon it will see something different actually making it impossible for anyone to figure out what The End truly look like. Seeing at it has been confirmed to be the embodiment of death that takes the shape of what its foes perceive death to be, this makes sense.
Boomstick: Sonic sees death as a giant moon? That’s weird and confusing. What’s not confusing is its sheer power. Its smaller looking laser beams of death has been compared to be on parr with Dark Gaia and its ever-changing form has tanked being blasted by the Ancient’s laser weaponry. Said lasers were said to be equally destructive as the Eclipse Cannon which has blown up half of the Earth’s moon and is though capable of doing the same to stars…………………..I take back what I said before. This moon is death incarnate.
Wiz: Know what is even scarier? It can even read your mind and analyze your every memory. The thought of it using that telepathy to copy all my scientific breakthroughs is terrifying. By looking over all the gods and robots Sonic has ever defeated, it stated them to be finite while it was infinite. This is even back up by the writer Ian Flynn who placed The End as the second most powerful villain Sonic has ever faced just slightly falling behind Solaris.
Boomstick: Get your priorities together Wiz. This giant space rock sees itself as simply a force of nature that maintains order in the universe by eradicating life as evident by its surprisingly philosophical speech to Super Sonic during their battle in space. Worry more about its view on life or ability to self-destruct to destroy planets when driven into a corner than it taking the credit for some of your dumb inventions.
Wiz: I actually worry more about The End taking over my inventions like it took control of Supreme once again in the DLC ending of Sonic Frontier. Instead of simply fighting Super Sonic in its regular form like what happens in the regular ending, The End created a dark long tether from its moon form and attached it to Supreme making it leagues more powerful than before. In this state, Super Sonic couldn’t even scratch Supreme with his attacks unlike before. Imagine this happening to one of my giant mechs Boomstick.
Boomstick: I’d rather not. Mutating Supreme to the point of sprouting 5 additional arms from its thrusters that are capable of throwing balls of cyber corruption or unleash volleys of lasers bolts capable of stomping Super Sonic is not a good look for your mechs. That tendril continuously healing Supreme of all damage makes this even more of a stomp of Super Sonic getting whacked like a ragdoll which I am not used to seeing at all.
Wiz: If the tendril ever gets destroyed, The End simply can regenerate it a few moments later and reattach it to continue making this one of Sonics most difficult battles. Luckily for Sonic though, Super Sonic got a major upgrade in the Sonic Frontier DLC Final Horizon chapter in the forms of Super Sonic 2 and Super Sonic Cyber. By mastering his cyber corruption and infusing it into his Super Sonic form, these stronger variants of Super Sonic came into being.
Boomstick: Despite having unoriginal names, these new super states are no joke. Super Saiyan 2…..I mean Super Sonic 2 fought and bested the upgraded Supreme while Super Sonic Cyber obliterated both Supreme and The End with such strength and speed that the giant space golf ball was one-shotted and unable to activate its self-destruct in time.
Wiz: To be fair to the space harbinger of death, its mutation of Supreme allowed it to create a giant ball of cyber energy that momentarily knocked Sonic out of his Super Sonic 2 state. The battle between The End and Sonic wasn’t a complete stomp in Sonics favor when he activated his new forms.
Boomstick: Regardless of whether the big E was the giver or recipient of a stomp, it does not matter. Sonic managed to best the space rock in both of the different endings that makes up Sonic Frontiers endgame. So much for claiming to be superior to all the beings Sonic has already kicked in their godly groins huh.
Wiz: The End being an avatar of death in the Sonic universe does make one wonder though doesn’t it Boomstick? Is it truly dead or has it simply disappeared for now only to appear again in the future? Was this incarnation faced by Sonic even the real deal or is the true incarnation still out and about causing destruction on a galactic stage? The answer to these question remains unknown to me, you, Sonic, Eggman, and everyone else that almost meet their end on the Starfall islands.
Boomstick: Luckily for us who live in reality, we don’t need to worry about this. I can’t say the same for Sonic the Hedgehog and friends though. We might end one day while they might maybe someday yet again almost meet their end at the hands of The End.
Wiz: Like I said before, we all end eventually. Whether the End will ever face the end that it has inflicted upon tons of worlds is not equally guaranteed.
The End: This shell was once my prison. Now it shall be the avatar of my return. All shall perish. All shall return to order. To oblivion
Intermission[]
Wiz: All right, the combatants are set, it's time to end this debate once and for all!
Boomstick: It's time for a DEATH BATTLE!
Death Battle![]
Ouranos Island:
The locks had been broken. The walls between dimensions had been torn open. Its vessel was free at last. Now it would begin again. All would perish. All would return to oblivion. The End would come for them all.
Something was out of balance however. The feeling of yet another dimensional wall breaking vibrated the air. Something not of this world was entering this one. A powerful source of multidimensional energy was about to appear in front of its mechanical vessel. Whether this newcomer proved hostile or not did not matter.
Its end had already been determined the second it entered this plane of existence. The End does not care for the reason for why this was happening. The End comes for all creatures wherever they are part of this dimension or not.
A dimensional portal lit up the sky above the newly escaped Supreme. It simply gazed up into the sky waiting for someone to come through. What flew out of the portal was not simply just a someone however.
The giant flying high-tech castle made itself known alongside the smaller ships hovering around it by appearing out of the portal. The smaller ships made no visible movement to attack the Titan observing the scene. They were simply robotic ships there to provide an army meant for conquering worlds. It was not this world however that they had meant to be sent to and conquer though.
Said leader of this army and the true rule Ruler of Amphibia didn’t find this little mistake funny at all. In fact, The Core was beyond furious from where they stood in the heart of Newtopia Castle.
Darcy: Andrias you fool! This isn’t the correct Earth. Do I have to do everything myself? Put in the correct dimensional coordinates right now or you can forget about ever joining your father and the rest of us up here…..Hold on a minute….where is your pathetic excuse for a son Aldritch?
Various orange eyes opened up all throughout the castle to search for the figurehead king of Amphibia only to find no trace of him. He was not the only one to simply disappear into thin air however. All the prisoners had mysteriously vanished as well. The greatest minds Amphibia has ever known didn’t have to think very long about what had happened before they realized the true cause of this little miscalculation in destination.
Their annoyed frowns turned into sinister smiles which in turn made their human puppet wearing the helmet containing all of their essence smile wickedly as well. The power of the calamity gems must have been activated at the same time as something else of great power tried to open a dimensional portal somewhere in the multiverse. It was an annoying setback but after thinking about it some more; Darcy didn’t find this situation as disadvantageous as before.
Darcy: Perhaps taking a little pit stop isn’t so bad after all? We might be a little rusty after all those years waiting for the Olms prophecy to come true. Taking over this world will be good exercise for invading that puny planet that has eluded us for so long.
Supreme had made no movements since the floating castle had arrived. Its giant size made it impossible for Darcy to miss on the monitor in front of them which showed the Titan in all its high-tech glory. The machine looked to be made out of surprisingly competent technology though it was nowhere close to the might of its own machines in the hivemind opinion.
Darcy: Hello there! Are you the protector of this place big guy? If you are, we might just give you a painless death if you beg for your life. We do find the concept of begging so amusing after all.
In response to the question sent out of the castle’s speakers curtsey of Darcy, several much smaller robots of various sizes appeared on the field of grass separating the 2 opponents. The Guardians then all started to make their way towards the floating castle. Darcy grinned at the sight of this approaching mechanical army. Seeing someone begging for their life is fun and all but destroying someone so thoroughly that though they stood a sliver of a chance was even more satisfying.
Darcy: I will take that as an yes big guy. Let’s rumble robot friend.
Swarms upon swarms of Frobots exited the smaller robotic ships only a couple of seconds after the Guardians materialized onto the island. Andrias might have been teleported elsewhere due to interference originating from this dimension alongside the prisoners but having lost an incompetent servant like him was more of a blessing in disguise. Andrias weakness prevented the invasion 1,000 years ago. They would lead this army to victory however and make Amphibia great once again.
As the two robotic armies charged at each other, only one leader was focusing all their attention on the battle. The eldritch entity within Supreme had its mind focused on another matter entirely.
Interesting. Very interesting. A being of multiple minds melded together. Analyzing every single mind would take some time. The Ancients minions below would give the time required to see how much effort needed to be used to make these minds meet their end. Regardless of how strong the hivemind opponent was, The End would claim them all in the end.
FIGHT!
Lasers fired by each side rained down on both opposite armies as all of the machines ran towards each other. The first causalities of this army clash of robotic proportions was a couple of Towers that were picked up and thrown by a couple of giant Frobots that had managed to get ahead of the Amphibian army. The Towers fell on top of a couple Spiders which all exploded upon impact. Said giant Frobots responsible for this were sliced into pieces by a volley of lasers not long after.
All the tadpole-like underlings released out of the destroyed giants were soon joined by the rest of the Frobot army as the two forces collided with each violently. Frobots and Guardians alike were torn apart or turned into target practice. What remained of the Towers empaled a couple of flamethrower Frobots on spikes which exploded not long afterwards. Several Bulldozer Frobots were sent flying into the air due to winds created by the Tanks. An Asura was felled due to the combined effort of several flying Frobots which had eviscerated all of its shield generators with their lasers. Multiple spiders were bombarded with rockets while they were unable to blast the culprits into dust due to several Frobots being fast enough to intercept the lasers with their own.
While the battle would look rather even to a normal person, Darcy didn’t see it this way at all. Victory was inevitable. Those that held the calamity gems were gods incarnate. This little stalemate was of no consequence and would soon be over in their favor. The sight of the Tank that dared to send several of its robotic minions flying being utterly squished into scrap by a couple of mallets wielded by a group of giant Judge Frobots made Darcy even more convinced of this.
Darcy: Woo! Woo! How we missed this! It brings tears of joy to our eyes seeing this sight that we haven’t witnessed in years.
A sudden barrage of missiles shooting out of the ground and turning several Frobots into heaps of junk made Darcys sadistic glee disappear at once. Even more barrages of missiles managed to turn about half of what remained of the Frobot army into scrap before Darcy got back their senses and proceeded to give the army new orders.
Various Drill variants tried to dig underground on their masters’ orders only for a lot of them to be utterly demolished by the now superior-in-numbers group of Guardians. A group of Tanks created gusts of wind so powerful that the entirety of the Amphibian army was sent flying up into the air where they were grabbed and drained of their energy by multiple Ghosts. Rockets, lasers, flames, and mallets managed to take down a couple incoming Ghosts but not enough to stop 75% of being drained and turned offline. The Frobots that managed to get back to the ground were either eaten by the Sharks jumping out of the ground or punched into oblivion by a Sumo.
Despite sending out the 2 giant herons in an attempt to regain control of the battlefield, it was already too late. The Herons managed to just grab a couple of Sharks out of the ground and bite them into pieces with their beaks before several Ninjas teleported above them. Swordlike arms cutting through the Herons necks ended their existence causing Darcy to punch the nearest monitor into pieces in frustration.
Darcy: It can't be. This is impossible. Our armies were defeated? Such useless hunks of junk you all are. How could you fall to inferior technology?
The sudden desperation running throughout the hivemind quickly came to an end as the minds within came up with a solution for their predicament. A solution that guaranteed to pay back their foes tenfold for this humiliation. With the click of a button, a group of 20 Cloak-Bots jumped out the nearest window of the castle to make their master’s will a reality.
Camouflaging themselves at the exact moment they landed allowed the Cloak-Bots to grab onto the nearest Ninjas with their stretchy arms. Some were constricted well enough for them to be blasted apart with powerful lasers. The Ninjas that managed to get free in time or used their clone or energy shield to avoid being caught at all took to the sky where they bombarded the ground bellow with projectiles destroying 6 Cloak-Bots in the process.
Dragonfly-like drones delayed the rest of the Guardians from reaching the Ninjas in need of assistance. They were not just there to delay the army of Guardians however. Their true goal was to give the Newtopia Castle the time needed to get out of range of the explosions about to sink the island into the sea. Said explosions occurred not long afterwards as all the remaining Cloak-Bots started to glow with energy.
Any remaining Frobots and Guardians were enveloped in the gigantic explosion. Soon enough even Supremes figure disappeared as it was enveloped as well. Revenge was a dish best served sweet. Regardless of if it was the cupcakes swallowed talking or not, it was a sentiment Darcy and the Core in particular thought fitting as they watched the island sink into the sea and disappear from view.
Darcy: Still alive eh? Let’s quickly change that as we finish savoring this delicious red velvet cupcake with ube frosting.
Supreme hovering out of the water like a demon rising out of the depths made Darcy momentarily stop chewing the last cupcake. The shock did not last longer than a second as Darcy simply clicked a few buttons in front of them before finishing the cupcake with a moan of joy. There was no need to panic anymore. The giant was probably so damaged from the explosion that a single mountain-busting blast from the main energy cannon should be sufficient to end its misery.
Instead of splintering the Titan into millions of pieces, the energy blast pushed Supreme backwards a few meters before it resumed its slow hovering towards the floating castle. The anger coursing through Darcy almost made them choke on the cupcake traveling down their human puppets throat.
Darcy: Grrrrrr! You are starting to annoy us big guy. Perhaps blasting you in the face will get the results we require.
Sentries materialized all around Supreme as the energy cannon on top of Newtopia Castle prepared to fire once again. Two large octahedron-shaped sentries fired powerful lasers that collided with the energy beam heading Supremes way. The two beams fought for dominance as if neither was willing to admit defeat. Supremes response to this stalemate was equipping its massive laser sniper riffle and aiming it at the top of the castle where the still firing energy cannon was located.
It didn’t take a genius to figure out what the Titan was planning. An hivemind of geniuses like the Core immediately understood what was about to happen and made Darcy deactivate the cannon before activating the energy shield in its place. Going on the defensive this soon into an invasion was not an action they enjoyed putting into action. It was necessary to preserve their legacy and selves so Darcy reluctantly prepared for the incoming impact.
Darcy: Fire as many weapons as you want. None of them will be able to break this shield. Looking at those weapons though, they look familiar to something that once appeared in one of Marcys favorite videogame series. What was it called again? I believe it was Sonic the……………….
Thoughts of videogames completely unrelated to their current plight suddenly went blank. Darcys eyes almost popped out of the helmet. Their jaw looked like it could fall off at any second. What caused this was the lasers originating from both the sentries and laser rifle piercing the shield blowing the top of the castle to smithereens in the process.
Darcy: What? How can this be? What is this power that can surpass our world’s greatest treasure?
A second combined blast of sentry and giant rifle projectiles heading the castles way made The Core go into overdrive to find a solution. The best they could manage at such short notice was focusing the calamity gems power into creating the strongest shield to ever have been attempted. This time when the Titans attacks collided with the shield; it did not budge. All of the force behind the lasers however propelled the Newtopia Castle sliding backwards such a distance that it collided into the cliffside of Kronos Island.
As the shield once again deactivated and the majority of the castle crumbled into pieces, something clicked in the minds making up Darcy that replaced their fear with giddiness they had not felt in ages. There existed a power stronger than the calamity gems. A power that they had to make theirs at any cost.
Such futile struggles of minds thinking themselves gods. Their fortress and servants had met their end. It was time for them to meet their end as well. Its mechanical vessel was damaged but not sufficient enough to not travel forwards and crack what remained of the fortress open like an egg.
Supreme did as the being of destruction within commanded and used its claws to smash what remained of the Newtopia Castle to reveal the hidden command center beneath alongside the deadly still Darcy within. Its opponent looked to have met its end but Supreme knew the truth of the matter. This battle was far from over.
Mechanical tentacles shot up out of every corner that remained of the once great castle to constrict the intruding Titan. Instead of trying to get free or grab the seemingly dead opponent laying in the command center, Supreme simply raised its head to lock eyes with someone standing on its shoulders.
Did the multiple minds think an illusion down below was enough to trick anyone? Especially something that could read minds? If they wanted to face their end so badly, The End would gladly fulfill that wish.
Darcy: Nice of you to fall for our trap. Be a good giant robot and stand still while we look for your power source.
Their giant opponent staring at them with nonexistent eyes did not affect Darcys confidence at all where they stood on its shoulders. In fact, it caused a sadistic smile to appear on their face as the laser scythe was swung deep into Supremes shoulder. Hopefully this hurt really badly for all the trouble it had caused for them. Allowing them to steal what powers it is the least the robot could do to be given a less painful deactivation. Several sentries moving towards the Cores human puppet was not going to make this process easy however.
Plenty of yellow energy spheres of death being fired from the smaller sentries were swatted aside like flies by Darcy simply spinning their laser scythe around with excellent proficiency. Being on the defensive eventually grew tiresome so Darcy ran forward to the nearest sentry avoiding every projectile in the process. With a mighty jump, they landed on top of it and cleaved it in half before throwing laser daggers in every direction. Each sentry pierced by the daggers exploded upon contact with them.
The two larger sentries from before tried to extinguish Darcy with their lasers only to hit Supremes left shoulder instead as Darcy dodged out of the way. A barrage of mechanical tentacles descended upon the two sentries and teared them apart before they could fire yet again. Golden energy blasts fired out of the eyes of Supreme were the next projectiles to head Darcys way. Just like before, the Cores human puppet prepared to deflect them all using their scythe.
Surprisingly, the projectiles were not heading towards Darcy. Their main target was something invisible behind the controlled human girl. Horror and disbelief were the thoughts racing through the hivemind the second they heard the snap of a cable behind them.
Darcy: Nooooooo!!! It can’t end like this. We refuse to let this be the end of us.
Every single mechanical tentacle that had been used to give their master enough time to scale the Titan fell limp. All the illusions that had kept the Cores greatest weakness safe deactivated therefore making it possible to be witnessed by Supreme who had known of its existence all along. What Supremes homing shots had blasted apart was the cable keeping The Core connected to the castle and more importantly; made sure Marcy was under their complete control.
All of Marcys body-parts went limp as the Cores control of her ended violently. The helmet containing the Core entire essence immediately detached itself from their host when said body rolled of the shoulder of Supreme and started to fall down towards certain death. Supreme tried to swing its now non-constricted arms at the floating helmet only for it to disappear with a sonic boom into the distance. Supreme and the being within it knowing their foes destination slowly hovered after the Cores helmet body.
Unknown to the 2 combatants, the unconscious body of Marcy had been grabbed by a golden light that appeared out of nowhere. Neither did they notice a group of humans and amphibious creatures speaking to a black and red AI in the center of Kronos Island.
As the Core Helmet approached the still open dimensional rift and flew through it back into Amphibia, there was only one thing on its mind; Revenge. Grabbing that power source was no longer important. Destroying that robot was a much more important matter. When it came through the portal as well, there was nothing they wouldn’t sacrifice to kill it once and for all even if said sacrifice was Amphibia itself.
Not long after the helmet made its way from the surface of the planet to the moon in a couple of seconds, Supremes head poked out of the dimensional rift. Its gazed traveled across the land before looking up into the sky where it locked eyes with a series of eyes getting increasingly closer.
The Core: Incoming target. Deploying all defenses.
Amphibia’s moon plastered with orange robotic eyes accompanied by various giant robotic prehistoric creatures was heading downward to the surface of the planet to destroy it alongside Supreme. The sight of this heading towards it did not seem to worry the being inside Supreme at all. What did cause it to reassess the situation slightly was when the laser emitters on Supremes backside failed to activate. Neither the giant riffle or homing shots were willing to function as supposed as well. Due to this, lasers rained down upon the Titan damaging it heavily.
Looks like this vessel had reached its limits. The damage was now sufficient enough to impair several of its functions. This vessel had served it well however. Supreme deserved a final reward to make it much more capable of bringing an end to everything.
More lasers rained down on the wounded Titan damaging it even more than before. All of the lasers impacting the ground around Supreme created a giant dust cloud that prevented the Core from witnessing the demolition of the robot to their disappointment. It also hid from view unfortunately red particles exiting Supremes mechanical shell and heading up into the sky.
A sudden painful screech vibrating through the air made the Core momentarily halt their descent downwards in surprise. Surprise turned into delight when the dust cloud vanished to show Supreme flailing around in pain. That delight didn’t last long as the Core took note that it had not been its moon army’s lasers that were the cause of this pain. In fact, it looked like a dark tether attaching itself to the robot’s neck was the cause of the pain……and all of Supremes injuries mysteriously healing themselves?
Several of the minds making up the Core couldn’t help but shudder in fear when Supreme finally stopped flailing around and gazed up at the Core-controlled moon. Its gaze had not changed but the dark aura the hivemind could feel emanating from the Titan was enough to realize that their foe was finally taking this fight seriously.
5 dark lanky arms appearing out of Supremes thrusters before creating a giant ball of cyber energy made the Core and its army immediately go on the offensive and resume their descent. All of the moon robot’s lasers bounced off the upgraded Titans mechanical shell prompting the Core to order all of their minions to form a shield in front of the moon. What was supposed to take the brunt of the cyber-energy ball failed as all of the moon robots were eviscerated into space dust by a volley of laser bolts slicing through them curtsey of Supreme.
Even with the giant energy ball heading upwards and the feeling of fear coursing through them, the Core remained defiant and refused to change course.
The Core: You cannot stop... a GOD!!!
Moon and energy ball collided in the atmosphere above Amphibia resulting in one of them being blown backward. The Core let out a scream of pain as they were launched deep into space. It felt like they had been hit by a galactic golf-club. It was at this moment that the hivemind realized something. Death was about to claim them.
Fight or flight instincts went into overdrive as the Core saw Supreme flying through space towards them. What remained of their minions still located inside the hollow moon was unleashed to give their master time to escape. As the robotic moon beasts unleashed a volley of lasers at Supreme, the Core used the powerful thrusters on the moons backside to try and flee in desperation.
One of these laser projectiles actually pierced through the tether giving Supreme its upgraded strength depowering the titan. The Core didn’t realize this however as their gaze was locked onto the source of said tether hovering in front of the moon of Amphibia. Its shape and appearance caused every mind making up the hivemind to let out a screech of pure terror.
The Core: What are you? You look like……..AHHHRRGHHHHHHH!!!! Please be anything but that!!!!! We surrender!! We surrender!!
There is no negotiating with one’s end. Especially for those that have evaded the endless sleeps grasp for too long. Their long-avoided end was at hand. The End would make sure of it.
The End: You think yourself a god? I know of gods like you. They were mighty. They were finite. I am infinite. I am nothing. You struggle as so many have done when they know their time is up. You will be consumed like all those before you. Now face your end.
Our legacy must survive. Please don’t do this. We conquered death so how is this possible? This was not part of the prophecy so we can’t die here. These and tons more desperate thoughts caused The Core let out a loud scream dripping with distress and panic as they witnessed the galactic eldritch horror glow with red and purple energy.
A giant laser cut the entire moon in two, turned the remnants of the robotic moon beasts into space thrash, and disintegrated The Core helmet into nothingness. The fight of genocidal beings had finished but the victor wasn’t entirely satisfied with simply ending its opponent. There was an entire new universe after all to teach about the inevitability of The End.
Then End: The End comes for you all. I am the all-consuming void. The End is an inevitable part of life.
KO!
An hivemind destined to meet their end had been vanquished. Only one thing remained in the way of consuming everything in every universe. That glittering gnat should never have followed it through the portal to this universe. This decision will be the end of the mortal and his new companions.
Sonic the Hedgehog: Sorry for interrupting your rather good victory speech but you and I still have some unfinished business. These three new friends of mine would also like to have a word with you about how destroying planets is not good for one’s health.
Ready to face the victor of the battle to the death was Sonic in his Super Sonic 2 state, Sage having taken complete control of Supreme, and the Calamity Trio using their newly gained calamity forms. One battle might have finished but another was just beginning.
- What remains of Amphibia’s moon floats throughout the emptiness of space alongside the debris of several robotic moon beasts.
- The End fires of several lasers which Sonic, Supreme, and the Calamity Trio avoid before counterattacking with a couple energy projectiles of their own.

Boomstick: Guess we now know which space golf ball of 2022 is the better conqueror eh Wiz? One of them definitely is a hole-in-one while the loser is a decently good parr.
Wiz: Not a bad analogy even if I don’t really understand golf terms. Both the Core and the End were some of their respective continuities biggest threats to all that is alive and free. One of these entities obsessed with genocide however makes the other look like a harmless rabbit when compared to each other.
Boomstick: Which is which is obvious based on the result of this battle to the death. Only one had the ability to read minds after all. There being multiple minds to look over all at once for the End don’t give The Core any advantage if you think so. If the hivemind of genocidal geezers didn’t have anything in their arsenal to seriously wound moon space Cthulhu, gaining some extra time to come up with a plan won’t do much to change that.
Wiz: A good plan is something I believe can always be used against a superior opponent. The Cores unbelievable arrogance and refusal to accept loss to the point of attempting to blow up their own planet in order to win does not reassure me that the hivemind could come up with a good plan against a far stronger foe. Any slightly intelligent plans they actually tried out would probably fail horrible due to the Ends mind reading. Sonic the Hedgehogs embodiment of death certainly had all the tools available for stopping the hiveminds plans at every turn.
Boomstick: It’s kind of obvious in retrospect. The Guardians Robots were far more durable bots with a varied arsenal of abilities in comparison to the Frobots who are weak enough to be wrecked by sword and arrows. Only things in the frog bots favor capable of evening the odds are the Cloak-Bots beautiful self-destruction explosions and any flying Frobots flight speed. Against Supreme any of these tricks would fail unfortunately due to the Titans many deadly projectiles and attacks capable of keeping Super Saiyan 1 and 2 Sonic at bay. No way the high-tech castle would do any difference with its weaker energy cannon, pierceable shield, easily disabled human puppet, and illusions useless against something that read freaking minds.
Wiz: Using Amphibia’s heavily adjusted moon for a final gambit would prove equally ineffective. The Ends true inconceivable form could use its planet-busting attacks at a distance before their opponent could ever attempt their own planet-level move. Having the moon successfully crash into the Ends main body also wouldn’t do anywhere near as much damage as what Super Sonic Cyber caused. Speaking of the transformation generated by the Chaos Emeralds, perhaps comparing them and the Calamity Gems is necessary to quell any lingering doubts about the result.
Boomstick: Both series of shiny stones are the kind of jewelry I wouldn’t say no to. The Calamity Gems capabilities are impressive with their combined strength being enough to vaporize a moon. Chaos Emeralds capable of giving enough strength to fight and defeat a creature threatening all time and space is what I would spend money on though if given a choice.
Wiz: While the full power of the Calamity Gems was capable of killing the Core, The Ends supposed defeat was only brought about by combining Chaos Emerald energy and cyber corruption to create an even mightier power. Being an avatar of death does make it arguable though whether The End can be killed or not worsening the situation even more for the Core than it already is. It truly does seem based on all this that Amphibia’s greatest tyrants did not have any major advantage at any point during this battle to the death.
Boomstick: You want to know something funny? If we had released this battle before the final DLC of Frontier, The Core would actually have a decent shot at beating Supreme at least before being literally one-shoted by The Ends overkill planet busting lasers of death. The combined effort of the army of Frobots, Newtopia Castle, Darcy, and Amphibia’s moon should be enough to damage the Titan to the point of the big E having to eject and get its nonexistent hands dirty. Final Horizon basically saw this and laughed as it made Supreme overpowered to a ridiculous degree with that tether constantly giving a power boost and instant regeneration. Kind of funny in an ironic sense right?
Wiz: The Core was a terrifying opponent to the heroes of its word that might have given its opponent a slight harder time in the past. With how the battle looks like today however, The End had the superior firepower, minions, abilities, and supposed incapability to die to end its competition.
Boomstick: Looks like The End put an end to the end-escaping journey of minds deadly afraid of joining the endless sleep.
Wiz: The winner is The End.
