Terra (2003) vs Olympia

Terra (2003) vs Olympia is a What-If? Death Battle.

Description[]

Geomancy. This superpower grants people the power to control the element of earth. Some geomancers have problems with their powers while others are experts, albeit sometimes in a specific form of it. When in fights, they tend to get the job done with raw power alone. Put two in the same battle, however, and one will be dead and buried…

Introduction[]

Wiz: When it comes to elemental powers, few can stand up to the sheer brilliance and brute force of geomancy.

Boomstick: And no other people wield that power quite like these two.

Wiz: Case in point, Terra, Teen Titan member no. 6! Well, sort of…

Boomstick: And Olympia, Rivals of Aether’s tough as stone karate master! He’s Wiz and I’m Boomstick!

Wiz: And it’s up to us to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle!

Terra (2003)[]

Wiz: Among the ranks of superheroes Detective Comics has made, the Justice League has their best of the best.

Boomstick: But if you were expecting someone from that, think again, because you’re getting DC’s other team, the Teen Titans.

Wiz: They have some recognizable faces, from Justice League member Cyborg to Batman’s very own sidekick, Robin. But we’ll be focusing on one member in particular, and that member is Tara Markov, a.k.a. Terra, and with her, there’s a lot to discuss.

Boomstick: Before anybody says anything, no, we’re not talking about the original Terra. We’re talking about the 2003 version, otherwise known as the one people like.

Wiz: Are you sure about that?

Boomstick: It’s mostly Raven’s fans who hate Terra. Look, Wiz, I’m not contractually obligated to praise BBRae anymore. This is a Fanon wiki, and therefore, I can be as out of character as I want!

Wiz: Wait. We were under contract?

Boomstick: Yeah! It’s under the “Praise Corporate Mischief” clause.

Wiz: Really? I-Wait a minute! Boomstick, could you please be a little more professional?

Boomstick: Okay, fine, Wiz.

Wiz: Unlike the comic book version of Terra, this version of her was, at one point, not a villainess, but a troubled yet very heroic girl who just wanted to do good with her powers, powers that, like in the comics and like her brother Geo-Force, were forced upon her by the Markovian elite. Unlike her brother, however, Terra didn't have an easy time adapting to her new life and fled to save her family from herself. Wandering the world, she tried, and failed, to be a superheroine, often coming up short due to her unstable powers. Making matter much worse is that Terra's mishaps eventually got the wrong kind of attention.

Boomstick: It turns that Slade saw her destructive powers and wanted them for his own use. Thus, Slade would seek to make Terra his latest apprentice after Robin successfully opposed him. Unlike Robin, however, Terra was much easier to manipulate, especially when a misunderstanding made her run away from Titans Tower. When that happened, it was only a matter of time until Slade took Terra under his wing.

Wiz: With Terra properly trained, she went off to rejoin the Titans, but as a mole, sneaking information to Slade when she could. When it came time to put Slade's scheme into motion, however, she began having second thoughts on the matter.

Boomstick: But then Beast Boy's spite got the best of him when he found out and she became an enemy to her old friends and tore Jump City a new one. This girl needs therapy.

Wiz: Especially after seeing Slade's true colors when the Teen Titans came back for revenge. But thanks to Beast Boy reasoning with her, she saved her friends, but it came at a horrible, seemingly final cost.

Boomstick: She got turned to stone.

Wiz: For a time, at least. At some point after the Titans beat the Brotherhood of Evil, Beast Boy found her alive and well.
