Powers and Abilities[]

  • Demon Slayer Mark - A supernatural tattoo or mark that increases the physicality of the user.
  • Transparent World - A special power that can only be accessed when the user unlocks their Demon Slayer Mark. By becoming aware of every part of his body and not doing any unneeded action, the user can activate the Transparent World. Tanjiro can see someone's muscles, blood flow, and joint movement which allows him to predict someone's movements. Also, Tanjiro's perception of the world slows down, allowing him to move faster than before. In this state, his emotions, battle spirit, and intent are impossible to detect.
  • Enhanced Smell - Tanjiro can use his sense of smell to detect different people, emotions, or intent. After his Zeroshiki training, he can use his smell to predict someone's movements.
  • Regeneration Nullification - Tanjiro can stop or slow down a demon's healing.
  • Reactive Power Level - Tanjiro can get faster the longer the fight drags on while fighting Upper Moon 4, and he is stated to adapt to an opponent who is stronger and faster.
  • Resistance to Sleep Manipulation - Tanjiro can tell if he's in a dream and commits suicide to wake up.
  • Resistance to Fear Aura - Tanjiro can fight Muzan Kibutsuji and isn't affected by his battle aura. Muzan's aura can paralyze Akaza and can cause lacerations.
  • Resistance to Deconstruction and Biological Manipulation - Total Concentration Breathing grants Tanjiro the ability to resist the effects on Muzan's blood, which can destroy a human's cells in a matter of seconds.
  • Resistance to Air Manipulation - Tanjiro trained on a mountain with no air for a year and isn't affected by a lack of oxygen.

Breath of Water[]

  • First Form: Water Surface Slash - The user generates momentum and creates a powerful slash.
  • Second Form: Water Wheel - The user vertically spins forward while releasing a flowing attack.
    • Second Form Improved: Lateral Water Wheel - A form created by Tanjiro that uses a horizontal spin.
  • Third Form: Flowing Dance - The user swings their blade in a winding motion with their body and dance in a flowing pattern that slices everything in it's path.
  • Forth Form: Striking Tide - The user makes multiple slashes while twisting their sword and body to land several hits.
    • Striking Tide: Turbulent - An improved version that lets the user land more blows than before while improving the accuracy.
  • Fifth Form: Blessed Rain After the Drought - A painless strike that is only used when an enemy willingly surrenders.
  • Sixth Form: Whirlpool - The user twists their upper and lower body aggressively to create a whirlpool of air. The technique is significantly more powerful when performed underwater.
    • Whirlpool Flow: An combined version of Flowing Dance and Whirlpool created by Tanjiro that creates a vicious flow of water to reflect projectiles.
  • Seventh Form: Drop Ripple Thrust - A quick stab that reduces the impact of an attack.
    • Drop Ripple Thrust Curve: A modified strike that almost nullifies the impact and momentum of an attack.
  • Eighth Form: Waterfall Basin - The user attacks vertically in a flowing motion. The power is increased if the user is falling.
  • Ninth Form: Splashing Water Flow, Turbulent - A technique that allows the user to minimize landing time and surface needed to land.
  • Tenth Form: Constant Flux - The user continuously attacks in a flowing motion to build up momentum which increases the user's striking strength.

Breath of The Sun[]

A breathing style created by Yoriichi Tsugikuni and passed on to the Kamado family, it has the ability to nullify a demon's regeneration. For the top 4 demons, it only slows their regeneration rather than stopping it. There is a painful burning sensation for anyone who is cut with this Breath style.

  • First Form: Dance - The user strikes with a powerful slash.
    • Dancing Flash - A combination of Thunderclap and Flash and Dance created by Tanjiro Kamado. The user inhales a large amount of oxygen, increasing the blood pumping in their body, focusing on their legs. The user then releases it to gain a burst of speed.
  • Second Form: Clear Blue Sky - The user spins their body vertically to use a 360O slash.
  • Third Form: Raging Sun - The user unleashes two slashes to hit or defend from attacks.
  • Fourth Form: Burning Bone, Summer Sun - The user unleashes a circular slash to defend from frontal attacks.
  • Fifth Form: Setting Sun Transformation - The user flips and releases a powerful upended slash.
  • Sixth Form: Solar Heat Haze - The user releases a horizontal slash that seemingly misses but actually lands.
  • Seventh Form: Beneficent Radiance - The user spirals into the air and unleashes a slash that surrounds the opponent.
  • Eight Form: Sunflower Thrust - The user strikes with the blade's point.
  • Ninth Form: Dragon Sun Halo Head Dance - The user unleashes a continuous powerful and fast attack that takes the form of a solar flame dragon. This technique can kill multiple opponents at once.
  • Tenth Form: Fire Wheel - The user jumps behind an enemy and releases an attack in a circular motion.
  • Eleventh Form: A defensive technique that lets the user create afterimages to avoid attacks by performing multiple twists. It works the best on enemies with good vision.
  • Twelfth Form: Flame Dance - A two-combo strike starts with a vertical slash and ends with a horizontal slash.
  • Thirteenth Form - The user continuously performs all twelve forms. This form was made specifically to kill Muzan.

Equipment[]

  • Demon Slayer Garb - Tanjiro's garb protects him from fire, water, and cold. A weaker demon can't tear through his garb.
  • Nichirin Blade - A blade made with ore that absorbs sunlight. Thanks to the sword's sunlight absorption, Tanjiro can kill demons by cutting a demon's weak spot, the neck.
    • Bright Red Nichirin Blade - A version of Tanjiro's blade that can only be accessed with his Demon Slayer Mark. His blade produces a heat so intense, it can burn a demon's cells and stop their regeneration. It works on all demons except for Muzan, as it only his slows his healing.

Demon King Form[]

In a last attempt to live, Muzan gave Tanjiro all of his remaining blood which transformed him into a demon.

  • Regeneration - Demon King Tanjiro's regeneration is comparable to Muzan, who has the fastest healing out of all demons.
  • Sunlight Resistance - Like his sister, Demon King Tanjiro is immune to the sun.
  • Shapeshifting - Demon King Tanjiro can create whip-like tentacles from his back.
  • Shockwave Scream - Demon King Tanjiro can release a shockwave via screaming.
  • Energy Projection - Demon King Tanjiro can fire balls of energy from his mouth.

  • Using Breath of The Sun after using Breath of Water can take a toll on his body.
  • After his battle with Muzan, he lost the ability to see out of his right eye and his left arm becomes wrinkled and he can't feel anything below his elbow.

  • In his demon form, wisteria is poisonous to him.
  • He fights animalistic in demon form.
