Gorr the God Butcher vs Kratos is a What-If? Death Battle
Description[]
It's the fight of two God killers in Death Battle! Who will come out on top?
Kartos will have his Nordic Arsenal
Interlude[]
Wiz: Killing a god is no simple task. Many have more power than most people could ever think of.
Boomstick: But these two have made it look easy.
Wiz: Gorr the God Butcher, Serial Killer of Gods.
Boomstick: And Kratos, The Ghost of Sparta.
Wiz: I'm Wiz and he's Boomstick.
Boomstick: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armour, and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.
Gorr the God Butcher[]
Cue: ( Thor Ragnarok' Main Theme by Mark Mothersbaugh )
Wiz: Born on a barren unknown planet on the outer reaches of our galaxy, Gorr was born into a world of hardship. But he had hope, hope in the gods.
Boomstick: Ya, he had a wife that loved him, and a bunch of kids to give him a reason live. Then they all died because of an earthquake and of starvation. So that sucks.
Wiz: After this event, Gorr rejected the god, he was soon exiled by his people to die in the wasteland that was his planet. But in the sky, he saw something.
Boomstick: So it turns out the gods do exist, and two of them were falling from the skying trying to kill each other. Gorr ran to see what the hell was going on.
Wiz: There he found the two gods. The one in black, dead, the other in gold begging for his life. In a fit of rage Gorr began to yell at the god for not helping his people. At the moment the dead god's blacks suit came off and went to Gorr. Gorr used it to kill the other god and went off to make a godless age with his new weapon, All-Black the Necrosword.
Boomstick: All-Black the Necrosword is no normal weapon, its a symbiote. The first symbiote. And it can do a whole bunch of cool shit.
Wiz: All Black the Necrosword gave Gorr the ability to create constructs out of the darkness. Things like sword, wings, armour, and living constructs called black berserkers.
Boomstick: Ya and these abilities are nothing to laugh at. By himself, he can take on three Thors at once, and beat them. Even one of his berserkers can take on Thor by itself.
Wiz: That is not all, the Necrosword gave in incredible speed, strength, durability, and a healing factor.
Boomstick: Ya after young Thor cut his arm off the Necrosword just made him a new one out of the darkness of the symbiote .
Wiz: With the Necrosword he was able to create a planet, cover a star in just a few seconds, was able to kill an unknown number of gods including Falligar the Behemoth, who is stated to have wrestled black holes for fun. In his final battle with three different versions of Thor, he tanked hits from young d Thor that sent him into black holes and took a hit from old Thor that sent him light-years away into a planet.
Boomstick: How the hell is anyone supposed to kill this guy. The only thing that I can think of is just to blow up the universe.
Wiz: He does have two weaknesses. The first one is that the Necrosword feeds off of and gets stronger from god blood.
Boomstick: So all you have to do is live long enough so that it can't get any blood? Sound easier a lot than it is.
Wiz: Yes but there is another way. If you were to get All Black the Necrosword off of him Gorr would be powerless to kill you or do any harm to anyone at that point.
Boomstick: Well have fun trying to do that. Gorr is fast enough to blitz Thor, Strong enough to kill god knows how many gods, and tough enough to take on three Thors a once and a black hole to the face.
Wiz: God quiver when they hear the name Gorr the God Butcher.

Kratos[]
Cue: ( God of War 2018 OST : Overture )
Wiz: Born in Sparta, son of the god Zeus, Kratos was raised to be a great warrior.
Boomstick: And he became one of the best, if not the best warrior the Spartans had ever seen.
Wiz: He soon became a general of the spartan military, and lead his people to great glory.
Boomstick: That was until a barbarian horde came to fuck everybody up that Kratos had trouble.
Wiz: At his darkest moment, he called out for Ares, the god of war, to help him. Giving him great power
Boomstick: But then Ares tricked him into killing his wife and daughter, so Kratos kinda had to kill him, to ya know, get revenge.
Wiz: After killing Ares Kratos was giving the title of God of War. But he soon realized that the other Olympians would most likely betray him as Ares did.
Boomstick: So Kratos when on a god killing spree. Killing almost all of the gods in the Greek pantheon. He even released the titans to start a war with the gods and killed some of them too. This fucked the world up, because, you know, the gods control most of the things in the world.
Wiz: But when he finally killed his father Zeus, the ghost of Athena came to him asking him for the hope that was in Pandora box that was now in him.
Boomstick: Ya, at some point in his adventure he opened up Pandora box and all the evils were let out and hope went inside of him. Athena wanted that. But thinking that the Athena would only use it for her gain, he just decided to kill himself to release hope to the world.
Wiz: Many thought Kratos was dead, but many years later he would be found in a place called Midgard.
Boomstick: And after he got there he got married to a woman named Laufey, and had a son. His name is Atreus. He knows how to shoot stuff.
Wiz: But in this new land he would need a weapon, a strong one. As a given to his by Laufey before she died, she gave him something that could ever rival Mjölnir. The axe Leviathan.
Boomstick: Leviathan ain't your normal magic axe. This magic axe has runes that give it ice magic. And Kratos has a bunch of ways to use it.
Wiz. He can cover it in ice to hit enemies in a small explosion, unleash an omnidirectional ice shockwave that freezes nearby enemies, fire a continuous beam of freezing energy, create large fields that inflict cold damage to anyone caught in it, and send forth a path of massive ice shards and summon a massive blizzard that damages surrounding enemies. And like Mjölnir Kratos can call it to him from anywhere.
Boomstick: He got a shield that can block just about anything you throw at him. And if he needs to he can slam it into people to get them the fuck away from him.
Wiz: But when his son was about to die, he was sent to Helheim to save him. But there the Leviathans ice magic would have no effects on the creatures that lived there. He needed a weapon of fire. He needed Blades of Chaos.
Boomstick: The Blades of Chaos work just about the same as they did back in the old games. They are ever stronger than the Leviathan axe. They lost all the magic he got from killing the Greek gods, but it still is one hell of a weapon. It can burn in a place where fire shouldn't even exist! How does that even work?
Wiz: My guess? Nothing but willpower form Kratos.
Boomstick: But when the going gets tough, and Kratos gets super pissed off, he goes into his Spartan Rage mode. Form? Let's go with mode.
Wiz: In this mode, Kratos is even more resistant to damage, and has a boost to the damage he does. The only drawback is that he can not use any of his weapons.
Boomstick: With all of these powers Kratos has done some crazy things, and even before he killed all the gods of Olympus.
Wiz: He has beaten the titan Atlas, who is strong enough to hold up the world. Speed blitz Zeus. And beat the embodiment of the world Gaia.
Boomstick: He was even able to beat Baldur, who was able to take down the world serpent. The world serpent was able to shake the 9 realms by just fighting Thor. How does that even happen?
Wiz: Kratos is not invincible in any way though. He has shown to be able to be killed by weapons made to kill gods. Being a man turned god after all.
Boomstick: And he does have a habit of accidentally killing his loved ones.
Wiz: But gods should know better than to meddle with this mortal turned god.

Pre-Fight[]
Midgard forest
Afternoon
The forest is lifeless, except for two figures. Kratos and Atreus. As Kratos is chopping wood Atreus is practicing his archery. As Atreus shoots another arrow he looks up in the sky. "Father, look." "What is it, boy?" Kratos says as he continues to cut down trees. "It looks like a black streak falling. And it's falling fast." Atreus say concernedly. "What do you mean boy?" As soon as Kratos said that they both hear a crash and fell the ground beneath then shake. As soon as this happens Kratos begins to march towards the noise. "What do you think it was father?" Atreus asks. "I do not know boy, but for me and you both I hope it was nothing." Kratos says without fear.
When they arrive at the spot of the sound the find a massive crater with a figure cloaked in black at the center of it. "Who are you, and why have you come here?" Kratos yells down the crater at the figure. "I and Gorr. Gorr the God Butcher. And I have come to exterminate all of the gods in this world." Gorr says with vitriol. "Atreus." Kratos says to his son as he reveals both his axe and shield. "Leave. Now" He says to his son sternly. "But father" Atreus yells with concern. "What did I say boy!" Kratos yell at his son. "There will be blood. I can fell it" Kratos says solemnly. As Atreus runs off Gorr speaks again. "I can tell you're a god. Your figure, your eyes, and the way you talk. A god of what I don't know, but soon it will not matter." He says almost laughing. "I give you two options. Leave this place at once, or die where you stand." Kratos says while readying to fight. "Well let's find out if you're the god of truth!" Gorr screams while lunging at Kratos.
Fight![]
Right before Gorr can even reach Kratos, Kratos slams his shield into the side of Gorr's face, launching Gorr 100 feet away.
"Arrrg!" Gorr screams. Not in pain, but anger.
Kratos throws his axe at Gorr but before it can hit its target, Gorr slams his fists into the ground creating a wall of darkness that blocks the axes.
"Is that all you got!?" Gorr yells are he makes a sword, and rushers Kratos.
Kratos is just able to retrieve his axe just in time to parry Gorr. With a slam both the Leviathan and the Necrosword clash of ice and darkness.
Just when Kratos thinks he can get the upper hand, he feels something wrap around his leg. Right be for he can look, he is pulled to the ground with Gorr right about to impale him. Right before Gorr can get the finishing blow, Kratos is able to get his shield between him and the sword and block it with a clang.
"Rarr!" Gorr yells in anger. "You want to fight like this? Fine." Just as Gorr says this he wraps Kratos in chains made of darkness and begins to whip Kratos around before throwing him over 100 feet away.
Kratos slams into the ground and creates a crater. "Damm you." He says as he returns to his feet. He looks to find where Gorr is, and see him speeding towards him. Kratos looks around and grabs a tree trunk and lobes it at Gorr. It slams into Gorr but it seems to have no effect. Kratos has one idea left. Right before Gorr can strike him, Kratos slams his axe into the ground causing an explosion of ice. "What?" Gorr yells in confusion, lanched into the air, but before he can do anything Kratos grabs him by the leg and launches him into the ground.
"I gave you a choice." Kratos says to Gorr. "Yes." Gorr says. "But I do not agree to a god's terms!" Right as he yells this a large, black snake grows out of Gorr and heads right for Kratos. "What are you!" Kratos screams as he shoots a beam of ice from his axe at the snake. This has no effect on the beast, who slams its mouth into Kratos seemingly eating him whole. "You gods are so sure of your selves." Gorr says smugly.
Just as Gorr is about to leave, he hears a rumbling in the snake. "What?" He says, confused. Just as he looks back Kratos rips out of the snake, wielding the Blades of Chaos.
"What!?" Gorr yells, amazed that Kratos survive, but before he can even think of what to, Kratos swings the blades and cut Gorr's arm clean off. "ARRRGGGGGGG" Gorr screams in pain, but the Necrosword starts to cover the ground around him in darkness, and creating dozens of black berserkers that begin to charge at Kratos. Kratos cuts them down, but for every one of them he kills, two more take their place. Soon there are hundreds of black berserkers swarming Kratos, and suddenly one is able to jump on his back and bit him. "AGGGRE!" Kratos yells but soon they begin to cover him.
"Is this all that gods of this world are?" Gorr begins to gloat. "Nothing but brain dead berserkers that ARRG!" Just then an arrow stabs Gorr right in the eye. "Leave my father alone!" Atreus yells as he fires another shot, but misses. "Boy!" Kratos yells, still trying to fight off the berserkers. "I told you to run!" Before Atreus can ever look at his father Gorr sends a black spike straight thought Atreus. "Noooooo!' Kratos yell just be for he is completely covered by the hoard of black berserkers.
"Eh, pathetic." Gorr says as he walks away. Just then Gorr hears are rumbling from the pile of black berserkers. "Could it be..... No." Before he can finish his sentence the black berserkers are sent flying leaving Kratos standing, fists and eyes glowing. "THIS IS WHERE YOU WILL DIE!" Kratos screams out as he charges towards Gorr at.
Before Gorr can ever react Kratos grabs him by the neck. "How?" Is all Gorr can say before Kratos headbutt him, causing Gorr to go flying across the forest and slamming into the ground. Gorr try's to get up but Kratos stops on his head causing the ground to start to crack around them. "YOU COME TO MY LAND!" Kratos yells as he stomps on Gorr's head. "YOU KILL MY SON!" Kratos yells as he picks Gorr up. "AND NOW YOU WILL END NO MORE LIVE!" Kratos yells right before he punches Gorr in the face sending him flying into a mountain, splitting it right down the middle.
Kratos begins to walk back, to retrieve Atreus's corpse. He hears a voice in the distance. "I've finally figured out what kind of god you are." "No." Kratos says in disbelief as he called Leviathan back to him. "You're a god of war!" Right as Kratos hears that black tendrils shoot out of the mountain, covering it in less than a second. Gorr walks out of the mountain and starts flying towards Kratos. Before Kratos can even make a move, Gorr grabs him by the neck begins to fly towards the sky.
"I will end your kind, God." Gorr says as he continues to fly higher and higher. "Argug" Kratos grunts as he stabs Gorrs back with one of the Blades of Chaos counselling Gorr to drop Kratos in pain. "You bastard!" Gorr yells as he flys downward towards Kratos. Kratos knows this is his chance. Kratos ready Leviathan and throws it at the charging Gorr
Kratos's head and body fall to the ground with a splat, as Gorr lands beside it with Leviathan embedded in his chest. "You gods are all the same." Gorrs says as he pulls out the axe. "Pathetic." Gorr says before snapping the axe in half

Results[]
Boomstick: Well there goes two gods. At least Gorr is efficient
Wiz: This was a very close fight both Gorr and Kratos had feats that were very comparably to each other.
Boomstick: Ya, both of them have won fights with Gods that have shown to be light speed, and being able to keep up with the gods.
Wiz: Both of them have shown planetary and even multiversal feats. Gorr with being able to Beat Old King Thor, who is comparable to Odin, who has stopped the world tree from burring down. And Kratos who was able to beat Baldur, who was able to take down the World Serpent. This fight came down to experience and versatility.
Boomstick: Gorr has lived a lot longer than Kratos, and he has also had way more gods to his killstreak.
Wiz: Gorr also had more versatility than Kratos. All-Black the Necrosword wad able to turn into whatever weapon Gorr wanted it to be.
Boomstick: Let's not forget that Gorr could just make an army whenever he felt like it and because of All-Black the Necrosword at GOD BLOOD the longer Gorr fought Kratos the stronger he would be.
Wiz: Gorr was just more versatile, more experienced, and could play the long game.
Wiz: The winner is Gorr the God Butcher
