Swords of Justice Battle Royale is a What-If? Death Battle featuring the Swords of Justice, Cobalion, Virizion, Terrakion, and Keldeo.

Description[]

The Swords of Justice, Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, and Keldeo are going to battle to see who is the toughest of the four! Who will win? Who will die?

Interlude[]

Wiz: Unova, the beloved 5th generation of the Pokémon franchise.

Boomstick: And with every region, you’ve gotta have a badass group of powerful, legendary Pokémon.

Wiz: The Swords of Justice, the four legendaries of Unova.

Boomstick: And they‘re based off of the three musketeers but there’s four of them?

Wiz: Cobalion the iron will Pokémon, and is also the leader of the Swords of Justice.

Boomstick: Virizion the grassland Pokémon.

Wiz: Terrakion the cavern Pokémon.

Boomstick: And finally Keldeo the colt Pokémon who is the newcomer of the team. He’s Wiz and I’m Boomstick.

Wiz: And it’s our job to research their weapons, armor, and skill to see who would win... a Death Battle.

Cobalion[]

Wiz: Cobalion, the iron will Pokémon and the leader of the Swords of Justice. He is based on Arthos the oldest of the three musketeers.

Boomstick: He’s also a steel and fighting type and is pretty defensive having the highest defense out of the four but also having the lowest sp. defense.

Wiz: But even though he has low special defense, the other members mostly have physical moves. Anyway, he has 91 hp, 90 attack, 129 defense, 90 special attack, 72 special defense, and 108 speed.

Boomstick: Along with this, he kinda likes to use his head, when he uses sacred sword a freaking sword grows out of his head! He also uses iron head which has a 30% chance of flinching the opponent. Wouldn’t he get a headache from ramming his head into other Pokémon?

Wiz: Really Boomstick a head pun? Save the puns for when you really need them.

Boomstick: Aww Ok.

Wiz: Anyway, like the other members of the Swords of Justice, he has swords dance which raises his attack up quite a bit, and he has work up which raises his attack and defense.

Boomstick: And then he has close combat. He doesn’t have fists, so how would he use this move?

Wiz: RPG logic I guess.

Boomstick: And then he has his awesome metal moves! Metal burst which launches the damage he took back at the opponent! His other metal move is metal claw where if he’s lucky, it’ll raise his attack by one stage.

Wiz: Some other moves he has are take down which does a decent amount of damage, but can recoil a little bit. He has quick attack too, and it lets him attack first usually.

Boomstick: And finally he has double kick which is well, a double kick and then retaliate which does more damage if someone on your team has died. Would that work like that in this situation?

Wiz: I think so, they are on the same team so it’d make sense if this attack would do more damage. Also it is the most calm and composed of the group as said in its Pokédex entry.

Boomstick: Some disadvantages are he is weak to fighting type moves however this is helped by his highest defense, and he has the lowest special defense out of the four.

Wiz: This Pokémon is far from being a pushover due to metal burst, and his high defense.

The player encounters Cobalion.

Verizion[]

Wiz: Verizion, the grassland Pokémon, based on Aramis from the three musketeers and is the most feminine, vain, and romantic member of the group.

Boomstick: She’s a grass and fighting type who has the most special defense but the least defense her stats are as follows. Health: 91, Attack: 90, Defense: 72, special attack: 90, special defense: 129, and speed: 108.

Wiz: She has a wide variety of attacks including the stat raising moves swords dance and work up which we have already explained.

Boomstick: Hey Wiz.

Wiz: Yeah?

Boomstick: Verizion Wireless.

Wiz: No... again save the puns until the end please. Anyway some of her grass type moves include leaf blade where the user slices at the opponent, magical leaf where the user summons leaves at the opponent, and giga drain where the user takes health away from the opponent and heals itself which is very very useful in this battle.

Boomstick: And of course she has take down, quick attack and retaliate which we have explained already.

Wiz: Her other moves are close combat, double kick and finally the signature move sacred sword. She likes to attack using swift movements as shown in her Pokédex entry showing she uses agility in her fighting style.

Boomstick: While Virizion may be badass, she does have her downfalls. For example having the lowest defense of the four really doesn’t help you when you’re against physical attackers.

Wiz: However, she has giga drain which helps this disadvantage a lot.

Boomstick: Besides that she is powerful and won’t go down easily!

The player encounters Virizion.

Terrakion[]

Wiz: Terrakion the cavern Pokémon, represents Porthos from the three musketeers and is the strongest, heaviest, and largest member of the group.

Boomstick: And don’t take the fact that he is the strongest lightly! This rock and fighting type has a whopping 129 attack! The highest out of the four! Along with this he has 91 Hp, 90 defense and special defense, 72 special attack and 108 speed.

Wiz: Being rock type, it has its rock type moves like rock slide which has a chance of flinching, smack down which can make a levitating Pokémon fall, and stone edge, which is a very hard hitting rock move.

Boomstick: Like all the other members he has his swords dance and work up. We’re kinda repeating things aren’t we Wiz?

Wiz: I guess, but we have to say all of what the fighters have so we really don’t have a choice.

Boomstick: Yeah that makes sense. His other moves include quick attack, retaliate and take down of course.

Wiz: And his fighting type moves sacred sword, double kick and close combat. Terrakion also focuses on brute strength as shown in his Pokédex entry, it says he can take down an entire castle in one blow.

Boomstick: Holy shit! That’s powerful!

Wiz: However like always there are disadvantages, he has the lowest special defense and is weak to fighting, grass and water types which are all present in this fight.

Boomstick: But he is still a Pokémon even grandpappy Boomstick wouldn’t mess with considering it can take out a freaking castle in one blow!

The player encounters Terrakion.

Keldeo[]

Wiz: Keldeo the colt Pokémon, he represents d'Artagnan, the youngest by far and the latest addition to the group.

Boomstick: His stats are 91 Hp, 72 Attack, 90 Defense, 129 Special Attack, 90 Special Defense and 108 speed. I wonder if he was some rejected My Little Pony character and that’s why he joined the Swords of Justice.

Wiz: He has the highest Special Attack out of the four and has moves like Bubble Beam and Hydro Pump to support this.

Boomstick: Other water type moves he has are Aqua Tail, and Aqua Jet, and along with being a water type, his Pokédex entry says that by shooting water out of it‘s hooves it can glide across water, and it uses it‘s legs really well while battling.

Wiz: His fighting moves are Double Kick, Close Combat, and Sacred Sword.

Boomstick: He also has Retaliate and Take Down as it’s normal type moves.

Wiz: To raise his stats he has Swords Dance and Work Up.

Boomstick: His disadvantages are the fact that he has the lowest attack and has mostly physical moves. He is also weak to grass in this battle.

Wiz: There’s really not much else to say about him.

Boomstick: But he is pretty powerful because he has the highest Special Attack. Just know this pony is no pushover.

Tjman461: Yeah I mean if you’ve read this far congrats because I was pretty much repeating the same thing about their attacks so yeah let’s just start the battle.

Keldeo’s cry is heard

DEATH BATTLE[]

Wiz: Alright the combatants are set let’s end this debate this debate once and for all.

Boomstick: It‘s time for a Death Battle!!!!!

The Swords of Justice are sitting together peacefully while some team rocket grunts are hiding behind a bush.

Rocket Grunt 1: Ok, we found the legendaries, but the boss wanted the strongest one. How are we going to determine that?

Rocket Grunt 2: Dont worry, I have this gun that shoots liquid at Pokémon to bring out their violent tendencies! It was made especially for this situation.

Rocket Grunt 1: Hey that’s pretty cool! Fire it up!

The second Rocket Grunt points the gun at Cobalion and shoots a yellow liquid at him. The liquid lands on him and absorbs into his body. The Rocket Grunt shoots three more shots landing on Virizion, then Terrakion and finally Keldeo. The liquid gets absorbed into their bodies and the Swords of Justice sit there for a second not noticing the liquid that they absorbed into themselves.

Rocket Grunt 1: Uh did it work?

Shortly after the Rocket Grunt said this Cobalion, Virizion, Terrakion and Keldeo quickly stand up with an angry look in their eyes. They all glare at each other. Ready to kill...

FIGHT![]

They all stand there for a second exchanging looks and then suddenly Cobalion charges Terrakion and Virizion charges for Keldeo. Cobalion lands the first attack with a Quick Attack on Terrakion causing the cavern Pokémon to stagger a bit. Terrakion regains his balance and lands a Quick Attack in return. Cobalion staggers back but prepares another attack. Terrakion prepares an attack as well and they charge towards each other with Quick Attack. They bash their heads together and get into a struggle as they try to overpower the other.

Meanwhile, Virizion and Keldeo charge at each other and Virizion prepares a Sacred Sword attack but Keldeo dodged it with Aqua Jet. Keldeo prepares another Aqua Jet and bashes into Virizion causing the grassland Pokémon to stagger. Keldeo finds this as a chance to attack and uses Double Kick, then uses bubble beam. Virizion regains her balance and uses Sacred Sword on Keldeo.

SLICE!

The edge of the blade cuts into Keldeo‘s skin causing a cut to form on his side. Keldeo tried to ignore it and prepares an Aqua Tail. He jumps at Virizion and hits her, knocking her back, and then he uses Double Kick. Virizion gets angry by this and uses Magical Leaf. The leaves go towards Keldeo but he counters with Bubble Beam and the attacks collide. Keldeo sees his chance to attack and uses Aqua Jet and bashes into Virizion. She gets hit but quickly uses Leaf Blade. A green sword grows out of Virizions head and she slices Keldeo‘s side causing a bigger cut to form on his side. Blood starts coming out quickly out of the two cuts and Keldeo is becoming weaker.

Keldeo gets angry and uses Swords Dance to raise his attack. He jumps at Virizion and uses Close Combat. Virizion gets hit multiple times making bruises form on her body. Keldeo gets a Sacred Sword ready but Virizion uses Leaf Blade causing Keldeo to cancel his attack. Virizion then uses Double Kick on Keldeo and then she uses Magical Leaf causing cuts to form on his head. Keldeo uses Aqua Jet to catch Virizion off guard and then charges up a Hydro Pump attack. Keldeo launches the Hydro Pump at Virizion and the pressure of the water knocks her into a tree. Virizion doesn‘t get up and Keldeo assumes that he won. A couple seconds later Virizion weakly gets up and Keldeo sees this. Virizion glares at Keldeo.

Virizion had taken quite some damage, she had a big bruise where she knocked into the tree and she had a couple other bruises all over from the Double Kicks Keldeo had hit her with. Keldeo glares back and runs towards her but the cuts from before were bleeding more, making him weaker. He readies a Take Down attack and bashes into Virizion making her cough up blood. Keldeo took some damage from the attack due to the recoil. Virizion decided she’s had enough and uses Swords Dance. Now that she has had a power boost, she uses Close Combat. The screen zooms in showing the inside of Keldeo Mortal Komabat style. One attack hit Keldeo in the face knocking some of his teeth out, another attack hit his left side breaking some of his ribs, and the final attack hit his front left leg breaking it. After this attack Virizion felt her defenses go down.

Keldeo now wasn’t looking too good. He had cuts on his head, bruises mostly all over his body, two big cuts on his left side, his mouth was bleeding, his front left leg was broken and so were some of his ribs. Due to the open wounds, Keldeo has become weaker. He uses Swords Dance to raise his attack again and uses Take Down. He runs as fast as he is able to towards Virizion. He points his head at Virizion and uses all his might to knock her down. His head bashes into Virizion hurting her severely and knocking her down. She lays on the ground unable to get up. Keldeo thinking he won starts to limp away toward Cobalion and Terrakion who were STILL trying to overpower the other. As he was walking away he looks behind him and notices that Virizion was alive! She weakly runs towards him and gets ready to use Leaf Blade. Keldeo was still bleeding out of his wounds and wasn’t able to run very far because of his broken leg. Virizion has the Leaf Blade pointing forward and stabs through Keldeo’s body!

SHINK!

She keeps the blade in and starts using Giga Drain! Keldeo starts feeling weaker as his life is sucked out of him. He turns his head towards Virizion and prepares a Hydro Pump but doesn’t have enough energy to do so. His eyes start to close and he becomes unconscious. Virzion pulls the blade out and Keldeo falls over lifeless.

KELDEO DEFEATED!

Virizion’s wounds we’re mostly healed now with only a bruise or two on her body. Cobalion and Terrakion still had their heads together trying to overpower the other. Virizion aims a Magical Leaf at them and they split apart to avoid the attack. The three remaining members of the Swords of Justice look at each other ready to fight. Terrakion uses Stone Edge sending rocks toward the two. Cobalion gets hit by them and Virizion is barely able to dodge. Terrakion goes towards Verizion and uses Rock Slide. The rocks pile on Virizion making her unconcious under the rubble. Cobalion runs towards Terrakion and uses Metal Claw cutting into Terrakion. Terrakion counters by using Smack Down catching Cobalion off guard. Terrakion uses Quick Attack and then Double Kick causing Cobalion to lose balance. Cobalion regains his balance and uses Iron Head. Cobalion knocks Terrakion down with this attack and then kicks Terrakion multiple times while he is down. Cobalion prepares to use Sacred Sword to try and finish off Terrakion but is stopped by Terrakion using Smack Down.

While Cobalion is caught off guard, Terrakion launches a Stone Edge at Cobalion. The rocks hit his face and Terrakion gets up while Cobalion is distracted by the rocks. Terrakion uses Quick Attack to get closer to Cobalion and uses Close Combat. One attack hits Cobalion’s face, and the rest hit different parts of his body making him cough up blood. Terrakions defenses went down after this attack. Terrakion wastes no time and follows up with Double Kick. Cobalion falls over from this attack and Terrakion stomps on his head multiple times making him bleed. Cobalion uses Iron Head knocking Terrakion away. Cobalion then gets up and uses Metal Claw putting scratches on Terrakion’s face. Terrakion then uses Rock Slide but Cobalion uses Quick Attack to dodge it. Cobalion gets ready to use Take Down and runs towards Terrakion. However, Terrakion uses Sacred Sword stabbing into Cobalion’s chest. Cobalion feels weak from this attack. Terrakion pulls the sword out and gets ready to use another attack.

Cobalion sees this coming and uses Metal Burst! The power of Terrakion’s Sacred Sword was thrown right back at him with twice as much power! A couple of Terrakion’s ribs break, he coughs up blood and then he falls over. Cobalion prepares an attack but a bunch of leaves hit him and he turns around and sees Virizion who has quite a bit of wounds on her from the devastating Rock Slide attack. Virzion uses Giga Drain on Cobalion and heals a couple of her wounds. Cobalion rushes at Virzion and uses Take Down. Virzion gets knocked back but uses Magical Leaf back at him. Cobalion uses Quick Attack to dodge the leaves and uses it again, hitting Virzion. Terrakion weakly gets up and uses Stone Edge at the two of them. The rocks hit them both knocking them over. Cobalion gets up and runs at Terrakion. He then uses Metal Burst on Terrakion making more of his ribs break. Cobalion then uses Sacred Sword making Terrakion have a big gash in his shoulder and then he uses Iron Head leaving Terrakion unconscious. Cobalion uses Metal Claw on Terrakion’s head, cutting through his skull and then he uses Metal Claw again cutting into his brain. He pulls the claw out, Terrakion’s brain spills out and a pool of blood forms.

TERRAKION DEFEATED!

Cobalion, now covered in Terrakion’s blood, glares at Virizion. Virizion stares back and they are ready for the final round. Cobalion readies a Sacred Sword and Virzion does the same. They clash with the swords trying to find an opening on each other.

SHINK

SHINK

SHINK

Cobalion finds an opening and a small cut forms on Virizion’s body. Virizion winces in pain from the attack but counters and cuts Cobalion a little bit. Virizion uses Swords Dance next and her power increases substantially. Virizion then uses Double Kick at Cobalion’s face making his mouth bleed. Cobalion uses Metal Burst throwing the damage back at Virizion. Virizion gets knocked back quite a bit, then Cobalion uses Close Combat, hurting her quite a bit. Cobalion loses some of his defense from this attack, and Virizion is really hurt but she uses Giga Drain sucking the life out of Cobalion and healing her wounds. Cobalion feels weaker but has the energy to use Iron Head, causing a big bruise to form on Virizion.

Virizion runs towards Cobalion and prepares to use Sacred Sword. She succeeds at this and stabs into Cobalion. She then uses Giga Drain and sucks more health out of Cobalion. Some of Virizion’s bruises heal. She kicks Cobalion and uses Magical Leaf. Cobalion ignores the pain and uses Iron Head once again, and Virizion uses Quick Attack to counter. They move away from each other and charge using Take Down. They try to overpower the other... after a couple seconds Virizion overpowers Cobalion! The Swords Dance boost from before caused Virizion to be a little bit stronger! Cobalion is caught off guard and Virizion uses Double Kick. The two attacks crack Cobalion‘s skull. Cobalion is weaker than ever and is trying to regain his balance. While this is happening Virizion uses two Swords Dances maxing our her attack. She then uses Close Combat! One of the punches hits Cobalion’s head cracking his skull more, the other attack hits his chest breaking his ribs, and the final attack hits his neck completely snapping it. Cobalion stands for a little bit and Virizion uses Leaf Blade slicing his head off, causing blood to spray everywhere.

KO![]

Rocket Grunt 2: Holy fucking shit...

Rocket Grunt 1: That was awesome! Guess we should throw the Pokeball shouldn’t we?

Rocket Grunt 1 throws the Pokeball at Virizion, however, she notices this and uses Leaf Blade slicing the Pokeball in two. Virizion notices the two Rocket Grunts and starts running towards them.

Rocket Grunt 1: Oh shit oh shit oh shit! RUN!!!

The Rocket Grunts run away as fast as possible, get into a helicopter, and fly away.

Results[]

Boomstick: Woah-ho-ho! I wonder when that violence juice wears off and Virizion will realize she just killed her closest friends.

Wiz: Anyway, this fight was actually really close because no Pokémon had a real big advantage over the other but after analyzing their stats, movepools and pokedex entries, we were able to reach a verdict. First, let’s look at their stats and how they compare.

Hp:

All the same for each

Attack:

Terrakion>Cobalion=Virizion>Keldeo

Defense:

Cobalion>Terrakion=Keldeo>Virizion

Sp. Attack:

Keldeo>Cobalion=Virizion>Terrakion

Sp. Defense:

Virizion>Keldeo=Terrakion>Cobalion

Speed:

All have the same speed

Boomstick: The reason Keldeo is out first is because he has the lowest attack out of the four which is TERRIBLE for him because pretty much all of his attacks are physical except for two or three. He also has the highest special attack and like I just said he only has two or three moves that are special. With this all added up, he is the first to go out.

Wiz: Terrakion isn’t very well off either. He may have the best attack but he is weak to fighting type moves, grass moves and water moves. Which were all present in this battle. It also didn’t help that his powerful rock type moves weren’t going to do very much damage to the others because of their fighting type.

Boomstick: And finally we have the battle between Cobalion and Virizion. Cobalion may be calm during battle and has the highest defense, but at this point he has to fight Virizion who has a type advantage over him because of his weakness to fighting type moves

Wiz: He also may have had Metal Burst and the lowest Special Defense which actually really helps because only Keldeo has high damaging Special moves.

Boomstick: But the thing that really screwed everybody over was that Virizion had a type advantage over everybody! Not only that, she has Giga Drain which heals her wounds, and finally she isn’t weak to anybody else’s moves!

Wiz: And although she has the worst defense, she can heal up with Giga Drain making this not as bad of an advantage.

Boomstick: I guess Cobalion, Keldeo, and Terrakion weren’t sharp enough to win. Get it? Because sharp can mean sharp-witted? Eh?

Wiz: The winner is Virizion
