History

When Starlight was a filly, she had only one friend in the school she was in who's name was Sunburst. However, over time, Sunburst's magical capabilities became so apparent he was taken away to Canterlot to receive training under Celestia, which made Starlight depressed, later furious. Over the years, she was under the belief that life would be better without cutie marks due to Sunburst being taken away. After Twilight Sparkle and the rest of the Mane 6 ruined her planned utopia, Starlight invaded the Castle of Friendship and dueled Twilight until she finally caved in and joined her as her pupil.
