Description[]

Spirit Vessel (Malicious Rebirth) VS Warrior of Light (Final Fantasy), who would win a Death Battle?

Pre-Fight Polls[]

Spirit Vessel[]

Wiz: In the medieval Kingdom of Santville, the land was almost completely ruled by Ashlelei, A.K.A the Mad Queen, and many people despaired and feared for their lives under her rule.

Boomstick: Yeah, she kinda turned into a bitch after turning against some wise bearded guys.

Wiz: It all began when Ashlelei accepted a deal with the Prophets. They actually don't have a name, but that's what everyone calls them.

Boomstick: They're your typical looking old wise guys dressed in white and have long white beards, and you can hardly see their faces. They can appear and disappear, and are intangible for the most part.

Wiz: Both her children, Valeria and Erica, gave their lives in order for her to meet them. After she did, she made a deal for inhuman power in the form a stone mask and a powerful sword. The souls of her children lived in these two weapons.

Boomstick: She was supposed to use this power to defeat a powerful foe known as the Malicious... And she did! She did exactly what she was supposed to do. At least up until the end.

Wiz: After she defeated the Malicious, she was to return this power to the Prophets. Ashlelei went against them, and kept the power. Some of her greatest warriors, Galdo, Brann, Carlyle and Travis, also acquired this inhuman power in different forms, and stood with her.

Boomstick: The Prophets didn't really like this. As a matter of fact, they decided to try and take it back by force.

Wiz: In order to reacquire the stolen power, they built a weapon to defeat the Mad Queen and her warriors. The spirits of Valeria and Erica were used to create the weapon, not to be confused with their souls, which were given to Ashlelei. With this, the player can decide to play as either Valeria(male) or Erica(female). And thus, the Spirit Vessel was born. For this Death Battle's purposes, the Spirit Vessel will be Valeria.

Boomstick: Valeria wields the Mantle of Cinders, which can shape shift into various weapons, like giant fists or a sword. The only catch is... Well, he needs to defeat the enemy so the Mantle of Cinders can use it. In the game, it only absorbs boss level weapons and abilities. Oh and by the way, he doesn't walk, he floats!

Wiz: Aside from weapons, he also has other abilities, like flying and dodging.

Boomstick: Like, REALLY fast dodging! Okay, maybe not REALLY fast, but it will definitely get him out of harm's way.

Spirit-Vessel-dodge

The Spirit Vessel can easily evade attacks and use consecutive dodges to speed around enemies. Clip taken from here.

Wiz: With every enemy Valeria defeats, the Mantle of Cinders absorbs their souls and converts it into Aura, which is basically energy that's consumed to either use certain chaining abilities or repair the Spirit Vessel. Aura can be acquired by either defeating enemies or blocking attacks perfectly. This is where the Spirit Vessel activates its shield just before an attack hits it.

Boomstick: That's not even the best part. Once Valeria has enough Aura, he can go Super Saiyan one, two or three!

Wiz: This technique is known as an Aura release, which only boosts the damage he can deal out. This does not provide any boost to its speed or defense. There are three levels to this Aura release, and each level is stronger than the last, but consumes more Aura.

Boomstick: When he activates Aura release three, nearby enemies will be incinerated! Valeria can deal out enough damage to defeat minor enemies with a single hit in this form as well.

Wiz: Still, he isn't invincible. If enough damage is done to him, his limbs will fall off, and eventually be destroyed.

Boomstick: No worries, though! Valeria can repair himself at the cost of Aura. Also, he's freaking tough! He was once impaled by the Mad Queen with her giant sword, and survived without any noticeable damage. Given he had to be at full health to accomplish this, but it's still impressive.

Wiz: After he defeated the Mad Queen and her warriors, Valeria had gained several weapons, including large fists, a lance, Aura shots, a large sword, and a durable shield.

Boomstick: After that, he had to go fight the Malicious because it had been reborn. But Valeria's journey doesn't end there.

Wiz: After the second defeat of the Malicious, other warriors from varying lands took up their weapons to conquer the world and stop the revival from happening again. Aside from the Prophets disagreeing with their methods, these warriors were actually fueling the revival of The Malicious, since it feeds off of hatred.

Boomstick: And so, Valeria was charged with defeating these warriors and taking their powers. Eventually, he would have to fight the Malicious again, too.

Wiz: These warriors were collectively known as the Four Kings, all of which were fighting each other to conquer the land for themselves. Like the Mad Queen and her warriors, they had powers inhuman. It's unknown where they acquired their powers, and it's unknown if the Prophets gave them any. They probably didn't, because it would just make the Spirit Vessel's job tougher.

Boomstick: Still, at the end of the day, Valeria prevailed. He defeated the Four Kings and took their powers.

Wiz: On top of the weapon's he already had, Valeria was able to further improve them. For example, his Aura shots, which are like single bullets being shot at enemies, can be turned into dual Gatling-guns and deal out plenty of damage via a blanket of bullets.

Boomstick: On top of that, his giant fists can turn into giant claws, which can move faster, and are easier to create combos with.

Wiz: He also acquired a whip and a hammer. The whip can pull enemies in close, or allow the Spirit Vessel to close the distance quickly. The hammer can become as large as a truck, and has some decent range to it. Although, it takes a while for the hammer to form to its appropriate size, and can leave him vulnerable.

Boomstick: His shield didn't change much after the defeat of one of the Mad Queen's warriors. It's used to... block attacks, yeah. Other than that, he can switch to his shield instantly, even in the middle of a combo. The only exception to that is when he's preparing to use an Aura release or preparing heavier attacks with the hammer or sword.

Wiz: And so, with the defeat of the Four Kings, Valeria went to fight the Malicious.

Boomstick: He won... And got even stronger!

Wiz: With the third defeat of the Malicious, Valeria gained the ability to slowly generate his own Aura, and gain even more from blocking attacks, even if they're not perfectly blocked.

Boomstick: That's not all, he even got a new form!

Wiz: This new form is called Malice mode. Valeria must first reach Aura release three, then he can transform into this form.

Boomstick: With this new form, Valeria is faster, stronger, and can recover from attacks quicker. But it gets better. Valeria becomes INVINCIBLE! Not just temporarily, but permanently!

Wiz: Well, he's not really invincible. He just doesn't lose any limbs, and any damage he takes is deducted from his Aura. Once he runs out of Aura, Valeria can die in Malice mode. The reason he can be considered invincible is because no Aura is consumed for most attacks, and he can create a shield around itself that cannot be penetrated by any means. While in this shield, Valeria cannot attack or move.

Boomstick: Also, while in this form, Valeria cannot self-generate Aura. He can still reacquire Aura by blocking attacks perfectly or defeating enemies, but it's somewhat risky to try that, especially against more skilled opponents.

Wiz: After this long journey, Valeria had to fight one final opponent...

Boomstick: He had to fight another Spirit Vessel, which took the form of Ashlelei.

Wiz: Ashlelei's Vessel had an arsenal of weapons at her disposal, some of which Valeria had already acquired. She could even summon grunts that looked like the original Spirit Vessel with nearly all of its abilities.

Boomstick: But of course, Valeria won, and defeated Ashlelei's Vessel.

Wiz: Now, Valeria had proven his use to the Prophets, and is now resting until he needs to be summoned again to purify the lands or defeat the Malicious.

Boomstick: At the end of all this, Valeria has defeated at least eight strong warriors, the Mad Queen, two Malicious forms, and what was supposed to be a superior Spirit Vessel, along with a countless amount of grunts and minor enemies!

Wiz: Still, even with all this, the Spirit Vessel has a limited amount of time to finish a fight. Should it run out of time, it's energy will be drained, and it will be summoned back to the Prophets to rest. He can be defeated by normal attacks in any form. Running out of Aura can make things challenging, and even kill him in Malice mode. Additionally, using some weapons or abilities can leave Valeria vulnerable temporarily.

Boomstick: Even then, you'd better hope your opponent isn't this lean mean killing machine! He's got plenty of experience and abilities to deal with nearly any foe!

Warrior of Light[]

Wiz: Welcome to the world of Dissidia! A world where the gods, Cosmos and Chaos, fight an eternal conflict.

Boomstick: These two fight each other by summoning warriors from other worlds and using their power to will them to their side. In this case, you could have people like Tidus, Cloud and Terra fighting alongside Chaos.

Wiz: Luckily for the Warrior of Light, this wasn't the case. As a matter of fact, he wasn't even summoned, at least not at first. He was created by Cid of the Lufaine, who is responsible for the creation of manikins. In this case, the Warrior of Light was the best manikin he'd made so far. He was considered perfect, by his standards

Boomstick: Also, these are NOT the kind of manikins you see in clothing stores. These things are deadly machines.

Wiz: Then, through a series of events, he was found by Prishe and Garland. When he was discovered, he was... asleep, I guess? Well, either way, Prishe and Garland fought to recover him.

Boomstick: Prishe won the encounter, and dragged him back to Cosmos, where she awakened him and brought him to her side.

Wiz: At this point, the Warrior of Light didn't have many memories, and couldn't even remember if he had a name.

Boomstick: In which case, Prishe decided to name him like he was some pet! Hahaha... but more importantly, even if he was given a name, the audience still doesn't know it. Which means, we'll just have to keep calling him the Warrior of Light. Seriously though, can't we just call him WoL for short?

Wiz: Anyways, after his initial revival, he fought alongside Cosmos for many cycles to come. He was likely around since the first cycle of war. When a cycle ended, all the warriors on both Cosmos' and Chaos' side were revived and had their memories erased, and a new cycle of war would begin. So, sadly, the Warrior of Light forgot the name Prishe gave him.

Boomstick: And man, Cosmos' team got stomped, twelve times in a row! Not a great win/loss ratio for Cosmos and the Warrior of Light so far.

Wiz: It was the twelfth cycle when things started to change, even though Cosmos lost.

Boomstick: You see, some of her warriors sealed a rift, which was spilling out those dangerous manikins.

Wiz: Sadly, after the rift was sealed, those warriors were never summoned afterwords. As for the Warrior of Light, he stayed back to protect Cosmos from the manikins that had already left the rift.

Boomstick: They were greatly overwhelmed.

Wiz: But before the manikins could harm Cosmos, she used her powers to protect the warriors she had summoned, and ensure their revival for the next cycle.

Boomstick: Shortly after, the thirteenth cycle began. Get ready, because Cosmos is about to make the most amazing comeback ever!

Wiz: Tasked with acquiring a crystal with Cosmos' power, the Warrior of Light set out on a journey with his comrades to find each of their respective crystals. Through this journey, he honed his skills with a shield and sword, and fought many powerful enemies.

Boomstick: He can fight at nearly any distance, but is by far the best at close and medium range.

Wiz: In the Dissidia series, he's great at doing bravery attacks. These attacks, are very fast, and there's little to no time to dodge them.

Boomstick: When doing these, he can scoop up enemies with his shield!

Wiz: Along with this fast attack, the Warrior of Light can then turn most of these into HP attacks.

Boomstick: These can be devastating, and end a fight very quickly.

Wiz: Keep in mind that he doesn't have to use a bravery attack to use an HP attack, but using an HP attack alone leaves more time to evade it. Additionally, the Warrior of Light is vulnerable for a short time while the attack is prepared. This is a very small window, however.

Boomstick: He's got plenty of HP attacks, like his Ultimate Shield, where he throws his shield at an enemy, and it pulls them in. After that, he hits them multiple times with it, before landing the final blow and pushing them away. This is a medium ranged attack.

Wiz: Then, there's his Shield of Light, where he puts his shield in front of him and it guards his entire front while he prepares to jab the enemy with his sword. This can be used on the ground or in the air, but has a very short range.

Warrior-of-Light-Bitter-End-edit

Notice how he scoops the enemy into his bravery attack with his shield, then follows immediately with an HP attack. Clip taken from here.

Boomstick: If he's forced to fight at long range, he can pull out his Radiant Sword ability, which summons several massive red swords and flings them at his foe. They also home in on their opponent slightly in case they're off course. If that doesn't do the job, then he can pull out his Shining Wave, where he swings his sword upwards towards his opponent, and beams of light shoot up from under the ground and also slightly home in.

Wiz: In the case he's being attacked, he can quickly dodge it by moving in nearly any direction almost instantly.

Boomstick: Put simply, he can dodge fast. Although, he's stalled for just a moment before he can dodge or attack after that.

Wiz: Using his shield, he can block most attacks, but there are times when he can be overpowered.

Boomstick: This is usually when an opponent is using an HP attack. Still, it easily blocks bravery attacks and weaker magic attacks.

Wiz: Speaking of magic, the Warrior of Light can use fire, ice and lightning magic attacks.

Boomstick: all of these are generally weak, and the fire and lightning attacks are best used at close range. The Ice attack, however, can drop chunks of ice over an opponent's head.

Wiz: If this isn't enough to finish off an enemy, he has EX mode. After absorbing enough EX, the Warrior of Light can use his Class Change ability, which grants him several bonuses.

Boomstick: This first is Mirror Attack, which, when hit by minor projectiles, will automatically be deflected.

Wiz: The second is Protect. This increases his defense further.

Boomstick: Up next is his more offensive bonus, Light's Blessing. Meaning, whenever the Warrior of Light lands an attack, smaller swords of light will be summoned and jabbed into his opponent.

Wiz: Then there is his regeneration. Surprisingly, he doesn't regenerate very much health in this mode, but a little is better than none.

Boomstick: And lastly, even though it may not be listed, his attacks are also stronger.

Wiz: Before his EX mode runs out, he can use his finishing move, Oversoul.

Boomstick: With this, the Warrior of Light hits his enemy seven times, then follows it up with one final hit, dealing out plenty of damage.

Wiz: With these skills, the Warrior of Light defeated several strong enemies in order to get his crystal.

Boomstick: His first victim was Garland, who revealed to him the truth about the conflict and cycles before retreating.

Wiz: Later on, he even dueled Sephiroth. Although Sephiroth later retreated, and there was not a win or lose outcome, the Warrior of Light did hold his own against him.

Boomstick: Continuing on his Journey, he met and beat Ultimecia, who could control time!

Wiz: It doesn't end there, the Warrior of Light defeated the Emperor.

Boomstick: UNLIMITED POWER!!!!

Wiz: not that Emperor. This is Emperor Mateus, but in the game, he's just referred to as The Emperor.

Boomstick: And lastly, he fights Garland again. He wins, gets his crystal, which was inside him all along, and the world is saved. The end!

Wiz: Not quite. With all the warriors united, and their crystals in hand, they were able to survive being annihilated by Chaos.

Boomstick: Just barely scraping by. We wouldn't want him to lose that awesome killstreak! Seriously though, if he died... he could have died permanently this time... Probably.

Wiz: Either way, he survived, along with the rest of his comrades. However, Cosmos had been defeated, and all that remained of her was within the crystals. She had used her power to give them one last chance to defeat Chaos.

Boomstick: So, the warriors set out on another journey, this time, to confront Chaos, taking out his warriors along the way.

Wiz: Upon reaching Chaos, the Warrior of Light and his comrades fought him. They won, and as he's consumed in fire, the heroes began teleporting back to their respective worlds.

Boomstick: See, what did I tell you! Cosmos made an Awesome comeback!

Wiz: The Warrior of Light is last seen walking towards Castle Corneila with his crystal. This is where his story ends.

Boomstick: Or IS IT!?

Wiz: Well... It's supposed to be, anyways. However, there is an alternate version where the cycles continue on until the 20th cycle. In the last cycle, the Warrior of Light is accompanied by a moogle named Cid. His goal being to defeat Feral Chaos, who had become stronger throughout the cycles, and was accompanied by Shinryu.

Boomstick: But of course this was not a problem for the Warrior of Light. After the defeat of Feral Chaos, Shinryu departed, and the cycles ended for good. There's obviously a bit more story to it than that, but this is all that's really important right now.

Wiz: And that's it. After these alternative events take place, The Warrior of Light returns to his world.

Boomstick: Ultimately, he beat Feral Chaos by himself.

Wiz: Still, even with all the impressive victories and amazing feats, the Warrior of Light has had some losses.

Boomstick: For one, he was defeated by Squall in a dual.

Wiz: He also lost once to Feral Chaos before their final battle.

Boomstick: His bravery attacks aren't as good as the other characters are (his do less damage).

Wiz: And he's very balanced, which, in a way is good. But there's no outstanding feat that he excels in.

Boomstick: Nevertheless, he's defeated many strong opponents, and can make an example out of weaker ones. Even with slightly weaker attacks, the Warrior of Light easily makes up for it everywhere else.

Death Battle[]

Wiz: Alright the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all!

Boomstick: It's time for a DEATH BATTLE!

(NOTE: For faster reading, Warrior of Light may be abbreviated as WoL.)

Pre-Fight[]

Cosmos is resting at Order's Sanctuary. The Warrior of Light is standing by, defending her from any trespassers in the sanctuary.

Cosmos Throne

It remains Quiet for a while, then Cosmos speaks.

Cosmos: "I sense someone, there coming this way."

WoL: "Is it an enemy? Which direction are they coming from?"

Cosmos: "He hasn't arrived in this world yet, but I can sense him coming."

A few seconds later, Valeria makes an appearance a ways out in front of Cosmos.

WoL: !!

Cosmos: ...

WoL: "What brings you to this sanctuary?"

Valeria remains silent.

WoL: "Cosmos, get away from this place. I'm unsure of his intentions, and your safety is more important. I've not met this one before."

Cosmos: "...Very well."

Cosmos disappears in the blink of an eye. Valeria remains silent.

WoL: "I'm not sure what your intentions are, but Cosmos seemed to feel a little uneasy about you. I don't believe you're a warrior of Chaos, at the same time, I can't tell if you're a friend either. Did you have business with Cosmos?"

Valeria begins moving towards the Warrior of Light.

WoL: ...!!

Valeria throws a punch at him, but he dodges into the air, and is now right above Valeria. The WoL quickly retaliates by trying to scoop up Valeria with his shield, but he easily dodges away. Both make some distance from each other.

WoL: "Very well. If you wish to get to her, you'll have to go through me! Don't worry, once I defeat you, you'll be reborn as a warrior of Cosmos!"

Fight[]

Valeria charges at the Warrior of Light, and he also follows. The WoL throws his shield at Valeria, but he quickly dodges to the side and gets behind him. Valeria lands three hits with his fists, then pulls out his sword and swings it in a horizontal motion. He takes the hit, and is sent flying away from Valeria. The WoL recovers, while in midair, and lands perfectly on the ground.

WoL: "Not bad, but let's see how you do against this!"

The Warrior of Light points his sword towards the ground, then swings it upwards in the direction of Valeria. Massive beams of light come out of the ground, and continue to do so as they rapidly close in on Valeria. He dodges the beams, and begins closing the distance between him and the WoL. He runs towards him, and the WoL jumps into the air.

WoL: "You're mine!"

The WoL flings his shield downwards, hitting Valeria and scooping him up into his attack.

WoL: "Take this!"

He lands several direct hits with his sword, and lands the final blow, which sends Valeria flying, and destroys his right arm. Valeria crashes to the ground but quickly recovers. He looks at his destroyed arm. The WoL doesn't waste any time, and air dashes towards Valeria. Once he gets close, and was still in the air, he tries to scoop him up with his shield again, but Valeria dodges away. Valeria then switched to his whip, shot it at the WoL, and pulled himself close to him. The Mantle of Cinders then transformed into claws, and Valeria begins wailing on the WoL. He lands hit after hit.

WoL: (Impressive, he can land a lot of attacks with just this...)

The WoL tries to block, but it's no use. The attacks are just too fast. Eventually, one of the attacks sends him flying, but Valeria quickly closes the distance again with his lance, landing a blow right to the WoL's stomach sending him flying again. He crashes into a pillar, destroying it. Even after that, the WoL gets back up. He looks at Valeria, who now has a strange green aura surrounding him.

WoL: (Hm?...!!! Is he entering his EX mode!?)

Valeria concentrated on his destroyed arm, a few seconds later, the arm had to regenerated, much to the WoL's surprise.

WoL: (I've not fought an opponent who could do that before. I'll need to end this fight quickly if I want to prevent that from happening)

Valeria begins making his way over to the WoL, who then uses Radiant Sword. Multiple large red swords appear, and begin moving towards Valeria. He dodges them, and the WoL closes the distance, both of them on the ground. The WoL manages to hit him with his shield, and gets him in a combo.

WoL: "Prepare!"

Valeria can't escape the combo, and is sent flying directly upwards by the WoL. Now Valeria is directly above him.

WoL: "Blade of light!"

Before Valeria could escape, he's hit from behind by a massive sword of light, which pushes him upwards even further. The WoL quickly closes the distance, and tries to follow up with his Shield of Light.

WoL: "Shine!"

By this point Valeria has recovered. Just before the WoL's attack connects, the Mantle of Cinders turned into a shield. The attack is blocked perfectly. The WoL was taken slightly off guard. Valeria quickly switches to his lance, and lunges at him. He hit the WoL directly in the chest, yet again, sending him away. Valeria then uses his wings, and makes some extra distance.

The WoL recovers before hitting the ground, while Valeria lands far away from him.

WoL: (Does he plan to heal himself again? I need to stop him)

Valeria is preparing to enter Aura release mode. Before he begins, the WoL uses Radiant Sword, sending multiple swords his way. Valeria is only able to enter Aura release one before he's forced to dodge. After this, he decides it's good enough, and begins charging at the WoL, who also begins charging at Valeria. The WoL throws his shield at him, planning to land another combo, but Valeria easily dodges it, and gets behind him. Valeria is about to hit him with his fists, but the WoL dodges upwards, and yet again tries to scoop Valeria up with his shield. Valeria blocks it, staggering the WoL.

Valeria quickly drags him in close with his whip, and begins to hit him repetitively with his fists before switching to his sword and swinging it horizontally, and hitting the WoL with great force. This time, the attack sends him even further. The WoL crashes into the ground, sliding a bit before recovering.

WoL: (He's incredibly evasive, I need to find a way to counter that...)

Valeria reverts back to his base form to stop consuming Aura. He fires a few Aura shots at him while beginning to move in.

WoL: (He can use magic, too?)

The WoL easily blocks the shots, sending them in different directions. As he approaches, the WoL decides to let him try and attack first. Valeria gets close, and tries to punch the WoL with his fists, he dodges to the left, completely evading the attack, then he counter attacks. The WoL prepares to send him flying again with his shield. As he throws his shield it at him, Valeria quickly changes to defense, and perfectly blocks the attack.

WoL: (W-What!?)

The WoL is staggered, then hit yet again by Valeria's lance, sending him away.

Valeria: ...

Valeria is running out of time, his time in this world will only last so long before he has to return to the Prophets. He begins to enter Aura release mode again. The WoL can't recover in time to stop him. Valeria enters Aura release three, disintegrating everything around him. Once the WoL recovers, he see's him, who's glowing with a gold aura around him.

WoL: (This is his EX mode... I should probably keep my distance. He's already pretty strong, and I don't want to get caught in an attack when he's like that.)

With that, the WoL launches long range attacks at Valeria, who masterfully dodges all of them. Valeria fires some Aura shots to try and stun him.The WoL blocks most of them, but the attacks were stronger than normal, and a few hit, slightly staggering him. Valeria tries to take advantage of that, and enter Malice mode. He curls up slightly as he begins to turn red. A red sphere slowly begins to form around him. However, the transformation takes too long. The WoL recovers, and launches his Shining Wave at him. The attack connects knocking Valeria out of Malice mode before he can finish.

WoL: (Looks like he has a form after that, too.)

Valeria is still in Aura release three, and knowing he's running out of time, he decides to charge at the Warrior of Light. In response, the WoL tries to make some distance. Valeria is too fast, however, and he uses his wings to get close enough to use his whip. He quickly latches his whip onto the WoL, and prepares to attack. The WoL blocks just before he attacks. Valeria uses his fists to punch him, even while he was defending. The punch was strong, plenty strong enough to break the defense. Once his defense is down, Valeria went in with his claws, and attacks consecutively, then slams the WoL to the ground, and follows the combo with his hammer, crushing him.

The hammer dissipated, and Valeria returned to his base form. Nearly out of time, he began to weaken. He approaches the WoL, planning to absorb his soul into the Mantle of Cinders, but the WoL gets up.

WoL: "Looks like you've used up all your power."

Valeria looked over at him, emotionless. In his weakening state, Valeria is no longer able to fight.

WoL: "To shine brighter."

The WoL, now in EX mode, charges at Valeria. He lands a direct hit on Valeria with his shield, who can't dodge it. He sends him upwards, destroying one of his arms in the process. Smaller swords appear, which are flung into Valeria's body and destroy a leg.

WoL: "Blade of Light!"

A giant sword of light pierces Valeria, damaging him further, but he follows up with his final attack, Oversoul.

WoL: "I give my all with this sword. Prepare!"

The WoL lands every hit on Valeria.

WoL: "You're finished!"

The final strike is made, destroying Valeria.

The WoL lands on the ground, while the remains of Valeria crash down with a hard thud. All that remains of him is his head, part of his chest, and part of his left arm. The WoL examines the remains before going to find Cosmos.

K.O.[]

Cosmos returns to the sanctuary, and the Warrior of Light shows her the remains.

WoL: "If you can revive him, he will make a strong ally. Can you do it?"

Cosmos: "He's different from the others, but I'll try."

Before Cosmos can begin the revival process, Valeria's remains disappear.

WoL: !?

Cosmos: "...It seems that he has left us."

WoL: "Where did he go?"

Cosmos: "I don't know... I can no longer sense him in this world."

Meanwhile, Valeria's remains are brought before the Prophets, and he's rebuilt.

Prophet 1: "That was an impressive showing, but I don't understand why he lost to that warrior."

Prophet 2: "The Vessel had the advantage, but it looks like the warrior overpowered him at the end."

Prophet 3: "Either way, we were unable to absorb him into the Mantle of Cinders. This will make fighting the next Malicious difficult. His power would have ensured our victory."

Prophet 2: "We were lucky, I sensed a strong energy coming from that woman. It looked like she was about to capture the Vessel."

Prophet 1: "In that case, we should find another opponent for the Mantle of Cinders to absorb. We can come back to this warrior another time."

Prophet 2: "I agree, but for now, let's let the Spirit Vessel rest. We still have plenty of time before then next reincarnation of the Malicious. We'll need the Spirit Vessel to be at its full strength before it fights again."

The Prophets depart, and the Valeria is left to rest...

Results[]

Boomstick: So... He died, right?

Wiz: He was dead when he hit the ground, but the Prophets rebuilt him.

Boomstick: Oh, well... I Guess that works. Still, I'm surprised Valeria didn't win. I thought he was totally whooping the Warrior of Light.

Wiz: This is a very difficult Death Battle to decide between. It's true that if we compare what we see from both games, Valeria can easily evade all of the Warrior of Light's attacks and land plenty of hits. But what throws a wrench into all this is the opponents each character has fought.

Boomstick: Valeria has taken down his fair share of bad guys, including the Malicious, which could destroy a small town with a single attack. Not only that, but throughout his journey, he never lost a single fight.

Wiz: The Warrior of Light, on the other hand defeated plenty of strong opponents, along with Feral Chaos. All of these opponents were far above anything Valeria has ever fought, at least in terms of what they can do.

Boomstick: However, he has some losses to his name. He was defeated by Squall and Feral Chaos, which makes this a little more complicated. Ultimately, though he makes up for it with his other victories. These wins and losses just prove a few key points.

Wiz: First, it shows that while the Warrior of Light is strong enough to defeat even a god, he's not invincible. Second, while he may not be invincible, he's still far stronger than Valeria.

Boomstick: As far as we know, Valeria cannot kill a god with any of his current weapons or forms, not that he would need to, since he just needs to beat his opponent here. It's a really hard decision because this greatly depends on if Valeria's weapons and abilities are good enough to hurt the Warrior of Light.

Wiz: And what was determined is that Valeria's weapons CAN hurt the Warrior of Light... but not very much. They're about as equivalent as The Warrior of Light fighting Feral Chaos without any equipment to boost his damage.

Boomstick: Valeria was able to defeat the Malicious, but remember, he had help from the elders in order to do significant damage. He was also attacking its weak point... you know, for massive damage.

Wiz: Basically, it means it would take a really long time to wear the Warrior of Light down.

Boomstick: And so, he would outlast Valeria. His time is limited for each fight, and once Valeria's out of juice, he's pretty much done for.

Wiz: After that, the Warrior of Light would have plenty of time to finish the job.

Boomstick: This fight just didn't look too bright for Valeria.

Wiz: The winner is the Warrior of Light.
