Marvel vs InFAMOUS! Who's the better menace turned hero?
Interlude[]
Wizard: These two started as a menace two society, and they turned out to win the hearts of their respective cities
Boomstick: Spider-Man: The hero of New York
Wizard: And Cole MacGrath: The hero of New Marais
Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!
Wizard: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win...a Death Battle
Spider-Man[]
Wiz: I'm sure you're all aware of the story. Nerd loses his parents, and some freak accident gives him superpowers.
Boomstick: Yeah...that's the gist of Peter Parkers story. But he didn't immediately become the web slinger we're all familiar with, insted he thought wrestling was the way to go. But that was actually going rather well for him...until
Bang!
Wizard: Yeah...what actually drove him to become a superhero was the death of his dear Uncle Ben...it was then he took on his famous alias
Both: SPIDER-MAN
Boomstick: 'BUT WIZ AND BOOMSTICK, HOW DOES SPIDEY DO THE WHOLE "THWIP THWIP"?!' I hear none of you ask.
Wiz: Well, originally he DID have organic webbing, but then Norman Osborn, or the Green Goblin decided to literally gouge them out of his wrists. So he made his iconic Web Shooters. The Web fluid cartridges are pressurized at 300 psi, Spider-Man also uses different kinds of webs, depending on the situation
Boomstick: Web bombs, electric webs, trip wires, large web balls, he can even use it like a club, and as a parachute!
Wizard: Also he has more that 500 more combinations. His webs are bulletproof, and his web swinging is at sub-sonic speeds
Boomstick: Y'know for a scrawny teenager, Spider-Man is a fucking powerhouse, of course one of his more well known powers is being able to crawl on walls
Wizard: He can lift over 10 tons, but normally restrains his strength to not kill his enemies, like Superman.
Boomstick: He can run at over 200 miles per hour, and his reflexes are 40 times faster than a normal human! He can even react in microseconds!
Wizard: That's thank to his Spider-Sense, it basically gives Spider-Man a 360 degree view of his surroundings, this alerts Spiderman of surprise attacks or if an enemy is sneaking up on him. This sense is so strong that he can even sense if someone near him has evil intent
Boomstick: That's some main character bullshi-
Wizard: MOVING ON! Spider-Man does have a BIT of a minor healing factor, he can survive Electro's lightning, which has been shown to melt steel.
Boomstick: Hank Pym even considers Spider-man his intellectual superior, and Hank built an INFINITE mansion!
Wizard: Black Panther even considers him worthy to digest the Wakandan heart-shaped herbs. His strength even impresses Thor. He can even take hits from the Sub-Mariner, who's normal punches can turn normal humans to paste
Boomstick: He's survived being hit by a train, could take hits from Juggernaut , Rhino , and EVEN THE FUCKING HULK!
Wizard: But his regular suit isn't all he has, he also has the Iron Spider armor, made by Anthony Edward Stark himself. With this, he has acess to repulsor blasts. This also enhanced Spider-Man's strength, and can even camoflauge his appearence. It even has a Hulkbuster variation
Boomstick: We can go on and on about his feats, like the Bugle crashing on top of him, braking through Carbonadium, breaking MULTIPLE Spider-Slayer's, but I guess we're on a time limit, sooooooo
Wizard: However, his durabiltiy has limits. His skin has no resistance to bullets, knives, etc. Was once knocked out by a 'vibrator'
Boomstick: WAIT WHAT!?!?!?
Wizard: NOT WHAT YOU'RE THINKING OF! His Spider-Sense is sometimes unreliable, and he needs to think he's in danger. His web-swinging can be interrupted by cutting the line Spiderman is swinging from. Most of his suits are terrible camouflage, despite Spiderman being skilled at stealth. And some superheroes are not as quick to respect him due to his youth
Boomstick: He once sold his soul to Mephisto. And he...sort of DID let Uncle Ben's killer get away
Wizard: Still, very needless to say, Spider-Man is not to be trifled with
Spider-Man: Whatever life holds in store for me, I will never forget these words: "With great power comes great responsibility." This is my gift, my curse. Who am I? I'm Spider-man
Cole MacGrath[]
Wizard: Cole MacGrath was one your average bike courier in Empire City. He had a girlfriend, friends, and just an overall decent life...until one package changed that forever
Boomstick: Yeah, he was tasked with delivering a mysterious package. But...Cole decides to sneak a peek at the package...and it sort of...
BOOM!
Boomstick: ....Yeah....
Wizard: This destroyed Empire City, and irradiated some of the population, including Cole. Unsurprisingly, being a main character and all, he gained powers. Electricity in his case, that's due to his Conduit gene
Boomstick: AND he was considered as a menace, this seems familiar
Wizard: That being said, most of his attacks are him just uzing bolts of electricity, like the Alpha, Artillery, and Magnum bolts. But that's definitely not all he has to offer
Boomstick: Yeah! He can make sticky bombs, regular one, ones that shock before exploding, he can make bombs that even bounce around to its intended target.
Wizard: He also has different kinds of blasts, rockets, kinetic pulses, and he can even make an electric grappling hook, and he ca-
Boomstick: MAKE FUCKING TORNADOES
Wizard:...
Boomstick: ...
Wizard: Yes, Boomstick. You are correct, that's Cole's Ionic Vortex, an electric tornado that he summons, the tornado pulls in nearby targets and objects. There's also the Ionic Storm, a giant lightning bolt that shoots directly in front of Cole. With this, he destroyed the head of The Beast, while also cracking its torso.
Boomstick: The Ionic Storm can also destroy at a molecular level, buuut electricity is not all Cole has going for him!
Wizard: Right, Cole also has the power of Cryokenesis, or the ability to control ice. He can summon ice spikes, make grenades, summon projectiles that freeze weaker opponents, make shields, and even freeze surrounding enemies...but for some reasons, not civilians
Boomstick: Cole wields a weapon designed by Zeke called the Amp, it channels his electricity for heavier strikes!
Wizard: The Amp can even take down some rather strong conduits. Cole's no slouch, as we stated before, He defeated Sasha, Alden Tate, David Warner, Joseph Bertrand, and Lucy Kuo, and also survived his future self, who can manipulate white lightning
Boomstick: He's also survived quarantine, and even stopped The Beast, and even sunk an aircraft carrier!
Wizard: He also has a healing factor, and he had strong indurance even before the blasts. And with enough electricity, he'll almost never run out of power, watch out during a thunderstorm...
Boomstick: Sadly...there's every fault for a feat. He had some of his power taken by The Beast. He's not exactly good around water, he also can't blast through metal obstructions
Wizard: His heroic morality sometimes messes with his mind, and because his career spanned through only a year, he lacks combat experience. He's also just as killable as a normal human
Boomstick: And while he's immune to electricity, he's still harmed by White Lightning. But hey, whenever Cole MacGrath enters a room, it's guaranteed he'll make a SHOCKING entrance!
Cole: See that's where you're wrong, Bertrand. Conduits aren't monsters. No, see powers don't kill people. Oh no... it's the person behind the powers... that kill people.
Pre-Fight[]
Wizard: Alright, the combatants are set! Let's end this debate once and for all!
Boomstick: IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTLE!!!!!!!!
FIGHT[]
-Cue: Spectacular Spider-Man theme song-
Spider-Man was swinging through the city, all while humming the above song. This continues for around 50 seconds before landing on a nearby building. Spidey stretches.
Spider-Man: Whew, just another day in NYC. Wonder how the boys are doing?
-Stop Music-
Spider-Man hears screaming, along with the cackle of electricity.
Spider-Man: Huh, could've sworn I put Electro behind bars a while go. Welp, l guess I got my work cut out for me...as usual.
Spider-Man shoots out a web.
Spider-Man: I hope I get back before dinner, MJ'll kill me...
And thus, he swings off, ready to confront 'Electro' again
Spider-Man eventually made it to a warehouse and he literally FELT the electricity in there
Spider-Man: It's not Electro...but who is it...?
Spidey creeps into the building, everyone not noticing
-Cue: Unknown Actors (Under Night IN-BIRTH)-
Meanwhile, Cole dodged a swipe from a baseball bat and punched the assailant with an electrically charged fist, sending him into rubble.
Spider-Man jumps down, ready to confront Cole
FIGHT![]
Cole dodged a kick from Spider-Man, as soon as Spidey landed, he narrowly dodged a bolt of lightning
Spidey sent a web right into his adversaries face, Cole steps back and rips the web off
Cole: What the... what kind of Conduit are you?
Spider-Man: Condui- what?
Cole: How do you explain those powers of yours, kid?
Spider-Man: I wasn't born with these, but hey I've got questions, and you're gonna answer
Cole: Sorry kid...
Cole's hands spark with electricity
Cole: I've got business..
Spider-Man: Well, guess I'll do this the old fashion way then!
Spider-Man kicks Cole in the jaw, causing him to stagger
Cole continues to try and hit Spider-Mn with the Amp, but he's weaving through the hits with laughable ease
Spider-Man: Miss me! Miss me! Now you gotta ki- oh forget i-AUGH!
Cole finally manages a hit onto Spider-Man's lower jaw, Spidey places a web bomb nearby and slinks away when Cole isn't looking.
Cole: Tryna hide from me? Makes it all the more fu-
Suddenly, the web bomb goes off and Cole is pinned to the wall. Cole tries to get himself free, before he hears that all to familiar voice...
Spider-Man: Heeey, batter batter, heeey batter batter SA-WING!
Cole is hit in the chest from Spder-Man's feet, and sent out of the factory! Before he can hit the water below him, Spider-Man comes around and kicks him back the mainland.
Cole skidded on the ground, leaving sparks as he skidden across the pavement. His hands spark with electricity and he fires a Bolt Stream at the wall-crawler. Spider-Man moves out of the way, and comes up below Cole and kicks him in the jaw. Cole is webbed up and rammed into a building, like a battering ram. Luckily, no one was inside. Spider-Man followed suit and fires an electric web at Cole. But all it does is make his opponent smirk.
Spider-Man: Aw, shi- AGH!
Spiderman was knocked back by Cole, who then ctivated his Gigawatt Blades. Cole swiped at Spider-Man who jumped over, this did continue for a while, before jabbing Spidey in the leg.
Spider-Man: OW!
Spider-Man fires a concussive blast which knocks Cole out and he jumps up to the catwalks of the building. His body glew green and the wound healed. Meanwhile, Cole got up and shot another bolt at Spider-Man, who was hit right in the face.
Cole swung the Amp again and again, Spidey kept going over the swings, and even landed a few hits themselves.
Spidey smirked.
Spider-Man: MAXIMUM SPIDER!
Cole felt his ribs crack, but he was still swingin'. Swinging the Amp that is, but Spider-Man knocked it out of his hands and out the window. Spider-Man and Cole than start a good-ol' fashioned- fist fight.
Cole: Gloves are coming off!
Cole landed a punch into Spider-Man's lower jaw, and the two traded blows for a while, before knocking him out the window. Cole looked around, seeing many electronic billboards, and multiple phone stores.
Cole absorbed the electricity from the surrounding tech, and smacked Spider-Man with an electricity-enhanced fist, knocking of his mask. Spider-Man pressed a button, and the Iron Spider armor came over his body.
Cole threw an Ice Grenade, and was frozen from the neck down. Spidey broke free and dodged a icey stalagmite.before kicking Cole into the air. Spidey webbed up the Conduit in what seemed like a giant spider web.
Spider-Man: You're finished!
He made a makeshift slingshot and flung himself at Cole.
Spider-Man kicked Cole with enoufh force to eviserate him and take the upper half of his body clean off. Spider-Man then swung to a nearby building and looked back at Cole's body.
Spider-Man: Sorry about that!
And with that, Spider-Man swings off.
KO![]
Analysis[]
Boomstick: OH MY GOD! SHOW IT AGAIN! AGAIN! AGAIN!
Wizard: Cole was fighting an uphill battle from the start, Spider-Man had more experience, better durability, and a more versatile arsenal.
Boomstick: Spidey has shaken off tougher hits, and has even tangoed with some of Marvel's greatest heavy-hitters! Like the Hulk, Juggernaut, EVEN FUCKING QUASAR!
Wizard: Not to mention Spider-Man has dealt with worse electric blasts, take Electro for example, Electro's electricity alone can melt steel. Cole has never been shown to do that. Spider-Man just had the speed, durability, and experience to out-do Cole in the end.
Boomstick: Looks like this ending wasn't very SHOCKING.
Wizard: The winner is: Spider-Man.
Boomstick: NEXT TIME ON DEATH BATTLE!
???: I want to be strong. I want to be feared. I want to be powerful. |
???: It's chaotic, which I can dig, but if I'm going to send the world into a truly abysmal tailspin I need more time, Rome wasn't burned in a day. Cinder Fall vs Hazama |

Description[]
Marvel Vs. inFamous clash between heroes of surprise origins!
Interlude[]
Metroid: Peter Parker, the Spider-Man.
Thunder: And Cole MacGrath, the Electric Man...er...Conduit.
Metroid: For many, becoming a hero was standing up to something greater, to be taught to change their bad ways, or even simply being the chosen hero.
Thunder: For some, though...it was more or less their usual lives had a sudden twist. He's Metroid and I'm Thunder!
Metroid: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.
Spider-Man swings into the fray![]
Metroid: New York City. A staple of many heroes, such as Stark Industries Iron Man, the location of the Avengers, and many more.
Thunder: But not every hero is some war expert or rich dude. Case in point, Peter Parker!
Metroid: Peter Benjamin Parker was born in Queens to CIA agents Richard and Mary Parker. After being accused of treason and killed by communist Red Skull, Peter was taken care of by his Uncle Ben and Aunt May.
Thunder: At least until the day he went to see the Isotope Genome Accelerator. A spider that irradiated from the Accelerator's demonstration fell onto Peter and bit him. Obviously terrified, the dude left the showcase and was nearly hit by car...then leapt several feet high!
Metroid: Peter originally used his newfound powers for personal gigs such as wrestling. But when his recklessness caused his Uncle Ben to die, he followed his words; "Great power, comes great responsibility."
Thunder: And so he became the one, the only...Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man!
BACKGROUND
Real Name: Peter Benjamin Parker
Age: Mid-Twenties
Height: 5'10 | 1.78 m
Weight: 167 lbs. | 75.75 kg
Tends to not open his emails
WAS married.... (Fuck you Mesphito)
Greatest foe: His Writers
Metroid: The Spider-Bite granted Peter many things; Superhuman strength, speed, and durability. Not only that, but he gained several powers based on the Arachnids he was emulating.
Thunder: Such as wall crawling via static electricity! Or those nifty web-shooters, He can use it to trap foes, make giant nunchunks, parachutes, a bat, and handcuffs! And if that ain't enough he can make web shields, a web-bola, and even hold up biilboards and iron cast blocks. He even upgraded to taser webs! But importantly he uses it to swing around a city!
Metroid: And if his webbing runs out, the rotating carousel in his shooters to replace the empty ones. He has a Spider Tracer that, once slapped onto a target, will continously track them, and eventually he did change his suit, to the Spider-Armor MK.4
Thunder: And this bad boy is INCREIBLY tough! Made with lightweight metallic material, it allows Peter to be quick on his feet despite being metal and is completely bulletproof and laser bounce off it! And it's got extreme resistances to heat and sonic attacks!"
Metroid: It can also take Hyperion's lasers and Thor hitting it at Quicksilver speeds, and has alternate forms of firing webs outside the usual, such as the Expanding Web Foam, which does exactly what it says on the thin, releases web that turn into foam that expands.
Thunder: Or the Concrete Webbing which can hold up falling skyscrapers, or the metal strips that create a electrical currents called the Bug Zappers!
Metroid: That's not all. Peter is an excellent combatant. He's an amazing acrobat, effortlessly doing flips in the air. He can do aerial split kicks strong enough to send foes flying, and can navigate through the hole of a wheel safely.
Thunder: He can even sneak up on Wolverine. Ya know, the guy who can sniff out where someone is? He also has some decent healing factor going on, and has an skill called Mark of Kaine where he uses his wallcrawling powers to rip someone's face off. Ouch.
Metroid: And one of his insane assets is his willpower. He was able to overcome control of nanobots in his body, can break free of illusions, fought off emotional Manipulation, and even when faced with far stronger foes, chose to never back down.
Thunder: Probably because of all his Spider-Sense! This little ability is a huge alarm. It can sense phony cops, when he's being betrayed, allow him to fight blindfolded, track out invisible targets, sense disturbances in space time, and even work subconsciously if Peter's drugged!
Metroid: It can be tricked, as Peter needs to THINK he's in danger. However this has led to him making a unique martial art; the Way of the Spider. This combined his bullying experiences, superhuman physicality, mastery of acrobatics, and training from Captain America and Shang Chi. It utilizes up close and personal combat, striking nerve clusters and pressure points. And his skills are actually great enough to keep up with Shang Chi, who is the greatest martial artist in the Marvel Universe, to a Stalemate.
Thunder: This makes him sound like a supergenius...which he IS! Peter has an IQ of 250! He's used his smarts to make the web formula, has figured out ways to redirect attacks or trick foes, disarmed a bomb Mr. Fantastic and Iron Man could not, and even made calculations to stop an imperfect Vibranium's vibration in seconds! ...Do you think Peter could help with my wires that got loose?
Metroid: Peter is honestly a hero that's really inspiring. From balancing his role as a hero and student to even becoming acknowledged by the Avengers, he's done alot in his career.
Thunder: Even if the writers do keep giving him shit.
Metroid: Yeah...yeah.
Thunder: Peter has dodged lasers beams, is said to move faster than Dazzler, who can move faster than light, and has dodged Microwave beams. He once tanked a blow worth a exajoule of energy, or 239 megatons of TNT. Really, he's a terrifying powerhouse!
Metroid: Despite all this, Spider-Man always holds back. Never slaughtering willy-nilly, never using his power for his own gain. But if you were ever get on bad side...pray.
Cole MacGrath is an InFamous combatant![]
Metroid: Cole MacGrath was your average person qho seemed to be set for a mediocre life. After dropping out of his college education with only six credits short of graduation, due to a professor’s harsh treatment of one of his friends, and to "piss off his parents", Cole became a Bike Courier.
Thunder: Hey, his dad was a dick who was emotionally abusive to him, berating, being overbearing and demanding of his efforts, placing unrealistically high expectations on his MacGrath which gave Cole a little insecurity. Ass.
Metroid: Cole's life afterwards was average....until one day he told a false address and sent on a goose chase. After a call to open it, Cole rightly refused...until he was promised 500$.
Thunder: Hey, in this economy? 500 bucks are worth it.
Metroid: Sure, but the package contained the Ray Sphere. And when Cole opened it, it exploded, destroying everything and everyone at the atomic level around him. But...Cole survived with immense injuries. and he gained something out of.
Thunder: Some zip zapping super powers! A.K.A. electric powers heheh.
BACKGROUND:
Full Name: Cole MacGrath
Age: 27
Height: 6'0" | 182 cm
Former Bike Courier turned Superhero Conduit
Wears a sling bag with the Sly Cooper logo
Ambidextrous
Committed a robbery once
Also known as the "Electric Man"
Metroid: This event turned Cole into a Conduit; a human with superhuman abilities. And when footage of Cole activating the Ray Sphere was leaked, Cole was outed a terrorist and forced to fight for his life and find the true culprit on who sent him that package.
Thunder: Cole's got some sick Parkour Skills, able to climb up buildings and leap across buildings with ease! But those electric powers made him better. For example, a huge fall won't kill him. And he can even send those wild shocks anywhere!
Metroid: Cole's basic offense with this is to fire lightning bolts. However, he has way more, or Overload Burst, where he fires a powerful lightning bolt from his hand after a few seconds of charging up; able to chain along conductive objects. And if someone had recently died, Cole can use the residual neuroelectric energy of the corpse to see their last memories.
Thunder: He can accelerate his accuracy and perception of time, basically letting him be precise with his skills lightning bolts, and if he runs low on juice, or needs to heal from a bad wound, Cole can absorb the electricity from just about anything with it; lamp posts, cars, machines...wait, does that mean he could drain me--
Metroid: And if Cole manages to get into a transformer, he can send out a Tesla Missile (no relation to Musk), which is an electric guided missile. And speaking of his bolts, Cole has a variety he can use; from the standard, to the Pincer Bolt which splits into three and converges in an arc onto a target, and the Artillery Bolt, which fires a larger bolt with slower speeds and is affected by gravity, but is long ranged and stonger.
Thunder: Then there's the Magnum Bolt, a condensed electrical blast that does triple the damage and travel speed of the normal, but takes a bit to shoot. And lastly, Bolt Stream, which fires weaker homing bolts that are fired at a rapid pace!
Metroid: He also can fire off shockwave blasts of electromagnetic energy, letting him reflect projectiles or send foes flying. He also has a longer range version known as the Sniper Blast, but its more narrow in its area of affect. There's also the Detonation Blast, where Cole throws a caged orb of electromagnetic energy that sticks surfaces or foes. If he fires at it, it will explode, or he can use it to jump off of, damaging anyone nearby.
Thunder: And with the Graviton Blast, Cole fires a blast that sends opponents floating through the air, perfect for him to use his Lightning Hook to reel 'em in for a finisher!
Metroid: Cole can also create electric Grenades, an explosive kinetic charge held together by electromagnetism that eventually explode. He has Electrocution Grenades, which electrocute nearby foes before detonating, Sticky Grenades, which stick to foes, the Stalker Grenade which is heavier, but hops in one place before exploding, and will hop after foes that get near.
Thunder: And with the Cluster Grenade, Cole throws one that splits into eight smaller ones that are just as strong as the normal one! And if he wants some extra power, Cole can create the Gigawatt Blades, wrapping electric energy around his arms to strike with!
Metroid: With Thunder Drop, Cole gathers electric energy around him and slams into the floor hard enough to create a shockwave. He can grind on rails or electrical wiring for faster traversal, use Static Thrusters to glide around and slow his descent, pin people to the floor with binds of electricity on their wrists and ankles, suck out the bio electricity of others to heal himself, or his Radar Pulse, which emits a weak electrical pulse for Cole to sense where his target is, or sources of electricity.
Thunder: With all these powers, Cole was able to find the man who caused the chaos, Kessler. He even beat up Sasha, a girl who can make black tar to control minds! And when he finally found Kessler, Cole went in and made sure his ass was grass, especially after Kessler killed Trish, Cole's girlfriend. But then a very wild plot twist happened...
Metroid: As Kessler slowly died, he proceeded to show Cole what he was preparing the Courier for; a Beast who plans to extinguish all of humanity. And so, he travelled back in time to prepare Cole for it's arrival. In order to be sure Cole would be ready to make impossible choices, he killed Trish.
Thunder: But when the Beast showed up to Empire City, Cole sadly failed in taking down the lava man. So it was off to New Marias to get more powers! Now armed with a weapon Zeke made called the Amp! It's a giant tuning fork-like weapon that lets Cole channel his electricity into, unleashing a thousand volts with each strike! He can even put the prongs around one's neck swing around them, then slam them into the floor!
Metroid: And heading to New Marias granted him new power from absorbing Blast Cores. Kinetic Throw allows him to lift heavy objects and throw them at his targets via a field of electromagnetism, a Lightning Teather to pull himself to parts of the area, mainly higher areas in buildings, and a variety of Rockets.
Thunder: These rockets have a huge payload of explosive energy, and explodes on contact! Cole has variations again, with Redirect Rocket spiraling around but homing in when Cole fires bolts at something, and the Sticky Rocket the splits into three smaller rockets when it's close to foes, homing in on targets before sticking to them, then blowing up.
Metroid: Cole can even manipulate the weather to some degree; with Ionic Vortex, Cole create a giant electrically charged tornado that sucks in people cars, whatever is its in way. And with Ionic Storm, Cole can call down giant thunder strikes.
Thunder: And after getting the Power Transfer Device and doing it with Kuo (because Nix is just a fucking psycho), Cole got to add Ice Powers to the mix! Ice Launch has him freeze the water molecules below his feet, making a giant pillar of ice that sends him high! Shatter Freeze has Cole flash freeze a small group of icicles and send them at targets, Ice Grenade, when it detonate, creates a small field of ice. Freeze Rocket makes a ball of subzero gas that instantly freezes anything it touches, so..don't touch it.
Metroid: He can create a wave of ice called Ionic Freeze to freeze foes and exclusively foes, and importantly his Frost Shield, which is a small field of ultracold air that blocks bullets and converts them into energy. And while converting solid matter to energy is impossible, Cole is doing so, so...let's apply E=mc^2.
Thunder: Cole's Frost Shield has absorbed a 343 gram helicopter chaingun round. The mass contained in the bullet, when you multiply it by the speed of light, would result in an energy of 14.7 megatons. Which makes perfect sense for Cole's abilities! Hell, fighting the Beast makes Cole reach extremely high levels; it destroying the entirey of Empire City in a single blast was calced at 546.6 megatons, and and when it awakened, it moved an array of clouds, which was calculated at 1.88 gigatons!
Metroid: Cole has also escaoed the pull of the Beast's singularity, and should be superior to Delsin Rowe. Yes, we know that sounds weird, but both have gathered Blast Shards to become stronger. And while Delsin has collected about 200, Cole has collected 300 in both adventures, seeing as they both absorb the energy of the Blast Shards, yet Cole absorbs over 100 more, it’d be weird to assume that Cole wouldn’t be comparable to Delsin since his body had absorbed a lot more energy, and that isn’t even taking into account the energy Cole would have absorbed from the Blast Cores throughout his adventure in New Marias.
Thunder: And when Delsin uses Neon Light Abilities, he can run at, as the game itself says, the Speed of Light! So yeah Cole should be comparable if not higher.
Metroid: But ultimately it wasn't Cole's powers that made him the hero he was. It was his choices. Even when he had to activate an RFI to stop a plague from destroying humanity and costing his life.
Thunder: ...Even though it kinda kill Conduits all over the world. But the needs of many are more important than the needs of a few I guess..
Metroid: Cole was remembered as hero. A person who put others before himself, a man who was able to make impossible choices without emotions tying him down.
Prelude[]
Metroid: Alright, the combatants are set, and we've run the data through all possibilities.
Thunder: It's time for a Death Battle!
Pre-Fight[]
The streets of New York City...was suffering a bit of trouble. Cracks across time and space were opening up, spilling people from alternate realities and causing genuine chaos from all the supervillains that roamed the streets.
In other words, it was a Friday.
One dimensional crack appeared in the middle of a park, before it launched out someone who rolled across the floor to reduce the impact taken; this was Cole MacGrath. Shaking his head, he got up to take a look around, before realizing he was not in New Marias.
He was quick to get to his phone. "Zeke? You there?" He asked, but got no answer. "Shit." He grunted, before grabbing a electrical pipe and blasting himself up to higher groundin hopes of answers, unaware someone was watching him from a distance.
This was Peter Parker, A.K.A. Spider-Man. "Looks like another Electro came in, better make sure he isn't going to make trouble." He noted to himself before getting closer.
Soon enough, he caught up to Cole, who was jumping across a few buildings. "Hey, Electro, right?" He asked, Cole turning to him with an eyebrow raised. "Electro? That's a new one. Usually I'm called a demon."
"Sorry pal, but I'm gonna need to take ya in." Peter replied. "Too much is happening and I can't risk you running around."
"Well, that's too bad." Cole retorted. "Because I have places to be and I can't do anymore delays." And with that, he jumped onto a electrical wire and grinded across them.
"So much for making my job easier." Peter muttered before giving chase.
Fight[]
Cole's attempt to get away was sabotaged when Spidey shot webs at him, forcing the Demon of Empire City to jump off the wires and fire some bolts at Peter, who launched out another web and weaved around the bolts.
The Electric Man landed on another roof, Cole straightening up as he prepped a Overload Blast...but Spider-Man was quicker and shot a web line at his chest, yanking it and sending Cole down to the street.
Grunting, Cole jumped to his feet and saw Spidey coming down, creating a pair of nunchunks with his web. Frowning, Cole pulled out his Amp and clashed with the webs.
Cole went for two swings, but Peter was quick enough to dodge and hit Cole with the nunchucks. He quickly followed up with a hard punch to Cole's face, sweeped Cole off his feet with a kick, before performing a uppercut to knock MacGrath over, all within a span of a single second.
Cole gritted his teeth, before seeing two web lines being shot to his left and right. “Incoming Spider!” Peter quipped, before catapulting himself towards the Demon of Empire City, who used Ice Launch to send himself upwards and having Peter kick the ice instead.
“Ice Powers? Huh, that's new from an Electro.” Spidey noted, before seeing Cole aim his arm down and fire the Pincer Bolt, the three bolts fly down, and Peter flipped past them before clinging to the wall and climbing up, Cole raising an eyebrow.
“Hm. A Spider Conduit.” Cole noted, before drawing his Amp. “Good thing I got a bug swatter.”
When Spidey got up, Cole was quick to strike, but Spidey ducked underneath and did a jumping kick into Cole's abdomen. The Conduit hit the floor, as Peter was quick to use his webs to make a bat and rushed in, Cole standing up and clashing bat to Amp.
“Nice Tuning Fork! Did your Mom make it for you?” Spidey teased, to which Cole retorted “A friend. What about you? Can't afford a real bat?” Before Spidey could retort, Cole overpowered him, and put the Bat in between the prongs of the Amp.
Within moments, Cole discharged volts of electricity, shocking Peter long enough to stun him and allow Cole to throw him into the nearby AC. Peter groaned, before his Spider-Sense alerted him to something coming his way; a ball of electricity.
Quickly rolling to the side, he saw it hit the floor anti-climactically. He raised an eyebrow…until it suddenly detonated, forcing Peter to jump back.
But Cole took his chance and slammed the Amp into Spider-Man's chest, using enough force to send Peter flying into a nearby skyscraper and to smash through the windows. Quickly getting back on his feet, Peter looked around…and slumped.
“Oh great. The Bugle. J.J.’s gonna have a field day with this…” Peter muttered, before seeing a teather of lightning zip through the broken window, giving him a hint to hide.
When Cole reeled himself in, he looked about, seeing no one in the building. He continued walking around, certain the Spider had to be around here somewhere…
He then took a glance, seeing a paper on one of the tables. A picture of Spider-Man, with the headline “Menance to the City strikes again!” on it. “Well, what do we have here…?”
Using his Radar Pulse, he saw a red outline of his opponent nearby, clinging to the ceiling. Spidey fired a few taser webs, but upon hitting Cole…he just smirked. “Thanks for the fuel.” He noted, before using a Alpha Shockwave to send Spidey out a window again, and down to the streets.
Peter shook his head. “Okay. No taser webs, got it.” Before looking up to see Cole performing the Thunder Drop, forcing him to swing away to safety. After that, Cole looked over the city, seeing Spidey getting away. So in response, Cole fired a Lightning Hook that got Spidey by the leg, and yanked him back.
Spidey looked behind him and saw a series of Bolts from the Bolt Stream coming closer. Quickly using his webs to latch onto a nearby building and pull himself away, before leaping down and fires some webs at Cole.
The Electric Man quickly set up a Frost Shield to absorb the webs and convert them into electrical energy. However, he missed on that stuck to his Amp, sticking it to his back. “Ah, hell!”
When Spider-Man got in close, Cole was forced to fight with his bare hands. He ran in, throwing a punch that Peter was able effortlessly weave around. “Nope.” Cole went for a kick, but Peter dodged it yet again. “Nu-uh.” Cole then performed a flip kick, but Spidey webbed his leg and threw him towards a dumpster. “Yeesh, you even trying?”
Leaping forward, Peter was ready to punch Cole in the face, but suddenly saw Cole using in Kinetic Throw; lifting the dumpster and throwing it at Spidey. Peter swiftly used another web to catch it and throw it aside, and turned to see Cole throwing a Ice Rocket.
Spider-Man attempted to block with a web shield, but it froze in moments, Cole going in for a kick that struck through the frozen shield and hit Spidey in the jaw, sending him across the street.
“Okay, that stung.” He muttered. “This guy's stronger than me, but he's slower. Gotta keep him on his toes.” He thought to himself, before seeing Cole reel both arms from a distance, using Ionic Wave to send a wave of spiked ice towards Spidey, who jumped over them before firing even more webs that forced Cole to take cover behind a car.
Spider-Man twipped a web towards the car and launched himself forward, just to see Cole jump out of hiding and create the Gigawatt Blades on his arms. “Oh crap.” Peter muttered, before aiming to land below Cole in order to avoid a slash, then kicked Cole in the chest before using a barrage of webs to restrain Cole heavily. Afterwards, with MacGrath trying to slash through the webs he was stuck in, Spidey shot a long long at the ball.
“Hope you're a fan of roller coasters…” Spider-Man spoke. “Because you're going on one!” He followed, spinning the web around and around so fast that everything around MacGrath became nothing but a blur. Once that ended, Cole was slammed into the ground enough to crack the pavement, letting out a yell.
“So, you had fun? Because I think we should probably call it a day.” Spidey spoke, ready to web him up.
“No…” Cole grunted. “No, I think I still want to keep going.” With those words, he suddenly launched a Cluster Grenade, making Spider-Man have no choice but avoid each of the Grenades. Cole was quick to take advantage of Spidey being distracted to run down a nearby alleyway…not noticing the Spider Tracker that was thrown onto him.
After dodging, Spider-Man swung up onto a rooftop to see Cole on a transformer, putting a hand onto it to recharge his powers, and heal. “Great, back to square one.” Spidey said, as Cole looked over and launched out a Tesla Missile, which flew towards Spidey.
The webhead shot a webline, zipping around his foe and avoiding the missile. “Can't use this against him, electricity just powers him up.” Spider-Man noted, and saw an abandoned crate filled with explosives. “Unless…”
He dropped to the crate and lifted it, then threw the whole thing at the Tesla Missile, making a giant explosion. “Talk about some fireworks, huh?” The smoke caused the alleyway to become hard to see…well, anything from.
But luckily, Peter's Spider-Sense told him Cole was up to something wild.
He just didn't expect Cole performing Ionic Vortex. Seeing a electric tornado coming his way shocked Peter, and he immediately tried to web sling away.
Thing is, Cole knew that. And he already was behind Spidey, Amp now free, and the prongs now between Spidey's neck. Discharging a bunch of Volts through it, he then ring-around-the-rosie'd the Avenger before throwing him into the tornado.
“Yeah, how about that, bug kid?” Cole snarked, before pulling his arms up, then bringing it down; having performed Ionic Storm.
The barrage of Lightning Bolts struck the entire tornado, eventually dispersing it. Cole looked around, seeing opponent no longer there….before suddenly Spidey swooped in and grabbed Cole by the face.
Cole looked at Peter, seeing his costume torn a bit, but his eyes were visible, and showing determination to win. For a moment Cole felt an electromagnetic force…from his hand. It was easy for him to figure out; Peter's hand was sticking to him with electromagnetism…
And he then ripped off a bit of Cole's face. The former Courier screamed in pain, barely standing from the bloody injury. Peter, without a word, fired more webs to try and restrain Cole one more time….
But Cole was faster, and used the Sniper Shockwave. The webs were reflected back at Spidey, who was then restrained by his own webs. Before Peter could break free, Cole grabbed him by the face.
…And he began to absorb his bio-electricity. Spidey grunted, managing to free his hands and attempt to throw Cole's grip off, but he was swiftly pinned down.
Despite his best attempts to push Cole off, it didn't budge. So, in a desperate attempt, Peter shot another web into Cole's face, which was now mostly healed, making him stumble about and leaving him open for Peter to take advantage of…
…But he felt weakened by the bio-electric absorption. Peter attempted to continue fighting…but Cole was quick to throw an ice grenade into Spidey's chest, freezing him solid. Afterwards, Cole pulled his Amp, leaped up with his Amp held high…
…And smashed Spider-Man's body to bits. After a few deep breaths, Cole collapsed over, laying on the ground in exhaustion.
“God…that took way too long.”
Results[]
Winner's Screen: Cole's exhausted body falls through another rip in space and time, making him land in back in New Marias, just in time for the Beast.
Loser's Screen: Spider-Man's shattered bits lay across the floor, slowly beginning to melt.
Thunder: Whoa! Cole won? I thought he was the one taking the L here…
Metroid: Yeah, me too. This battle was a very close one, and we mean it. Their stats were nearly the same, with both having an edge in some way.
Thunder: For Strength and Durability, Cole took that. Spider-Man surviving a exajoule of energy was around 239 megatons, and his strength scales to those who can deal just as much harm to him normally, but Cole scales to the Beast, who moved clouds when it first formed, which was calculated at 1.88 gigatons! That's eight times stronger than Spidey!
Metroid: But when it comes to speed, that's that's point for Spider-Man. He's able to outpace people who move faster than light, and have dodged microwave beams. As for Cole, he only scales to Delsin, who is said to move AT light speed, not faster.
Thunder: And it's no secret Spider-Man is more skilled, intelligent and experienced! Cole may know hardcore parkour, but Spidey's actually trained in martial arts, even comparable to some of the best! Cole's just a guy who happened to know a few moves in hand to hand and weapon swings.
Metroid: Intelligence also goes to Spider-Man due to being said to be on par with Franklin Richards and Tony Stark, and definitely experience as Spider-Man has been at his career for years, compared to Cole, who's had his powers for a month or two before his sacrifice.
Thunder: But that's where Mr. Buzzcut takes all the pluses. Compared to Peter's webs and wall crawling, Cole's electrokinesis gives him WAY more to work with.
Metroid: A popular argument for Spider-Man is that his fights with Electro would prep him, but the only thing Cole shares with Electro is electricity manipulation, absorbing electricity, being able to fire bolts, and mess with bio-electricity. But aside from that, Electro is admittly barebones compared to the sheer amount of usages Cole has.
Thunder: Cole can HEAL from absorbing electricity, rail grinding, hooks and teathers, making blades on his hands, Shockwave that make you fall slower, and a variety of Bolts. Hell, he has electric grenades and rockets to fire! And what about the fact Cole can throw out tornadoes or even call lightning storms down?! Spidey never dealt with Electro doing THOSE.
Metroid: Cole's Frost Shield also helps him take away Spidey's long range options, as firing the webs into it will covert it into energy Cole can absorb. At up-close, Cole could use the Gigawatt Blades or Amp, which is a tad bit better than just using your fists. As for healing, Cole's healing was better than Peter's as it lets him recover from life threatening wounds in seconds from electrical absorption while Peter needs some time to recover ribs. Sure, Spidey can power through the pain, but he's still accumulating damage as the battle goes on.
Thunder: Cole being able to mess with Electromagnetism also means he could mess with Spidey's wall crawling and Mark of Kaine move, while Spidey can't really get around Bio Leech if it hits. And while Peter's Spider-Sense could tell Peter if danger is afoot, which is useful, Pulse Radar can show Cole where Spider-Man is, or where to get extra electric juice! Sure, Peter could maybe trick him into entering a low powered area or learn of his water weakness but Cole can tell when an area doesn't have much power, so yeah.
Metroid: And there's still the fact Cole has ice powers, some saying to be at sub-zero temperatures, which would undoubtedly freeze Spider-Man if it struck.
Thunder: Yeah, Peter may have been faster, he may have had the skill, experience and intelligence, but you know who…kinda was like that? Kessler. And Cole managed to beat him down.
Metroid: Spider-Man was a tenacious foe, but Cole's strength, more varied and admittedly insane arsenal, and better healing options meant he would eventually fall. You could say Spider-Man…was left frozen in shock.
Thunder: ..Er, that was a good attempt. You're getting there.
Metroid: Oh, thanks!
