Spider-Gwen is a character from Marvel Comics. She is an alternate version of Gwen Stacy who became Spider-Woman, and later became known as Ghost Spider. She previously fought Batgirl in the 137th episode of DEATH BATTLE!, Batgirl VS Spider-Gwen.

History[]

In the mainstream reality of the Marvel multiverse, Gwen Stacy was a classmate and the girlfriend of Peter Parker before she became a statistic in his battle against the Green Goblin. But in one alternate reality, instead of Peter, Gwen is the one who gets bitten by a radioactive spider on that faithful field trip and gains the abilities of a spider. But Gwen's transition also included her own tragic lesion when her world's Peter became their reality's version of the The Lizard and died as a side effect of his transformation when she attempted to subdue him. This results in Spider-Gwen being viewed a criminal as she protects New York City as a vigilante while making her peace with Peter's death.

Faults[]

  • Failed to stop the collateral damage of a bomb. This resulted in the death of the lover of Lyla, and leaving her on Death's Door. Eventually this would lead to Lyla's attempt at revenge on her.
  • Despite her Symbiote being from another timeline and artificial in nature, she is not immune to Knull's influence.
    • This does however, give her a level of resistance to his control.
