Toho vs. Daei! These two cataclysmic colonizers invaded Earth with the intention of colonizing it, so when the rights to Earth is the reward, who will be slaughtered?
Interlude[]
Tabashi: Aliens. The invaders of Earth.
Angel: Nasty bastards always try to colonize Earth!
Tabashi: Like SpaceGodzilla, the crystalline conqueror.
Angel: And Mother Legion, the extraterrestrial, insectoid empress.
Tabashi: For this fight, we will only be using the Godzilla Island version of SpaceGodzilla. In addition, Legion will be allowed to have her soldiers and flower.
Angel: He's Tabashi and I'm Angel!
Tabashi: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle!
SpaceGodzilla[]
Mother Legion[]
Tabashi: The year was 1996, just one year after both Gamera defeating a few Gyaos, and Burning Godzilla defeating his ultimate foe. Gamera was back in the ocean, and Fukuoka was rebuilding itself from the havoc wreaked by the Gyaos.
Angel: Unfortunately, another city, Sapporo, would be the place in which a meteorite would crash. The meteorite had some weird effects on the surrounding are, causing strange lights to appear in the sky and the oxygen levels to drastically elevate.
Tabashi: From the meteorite, two Kaiju known as Soldier Legion raided a brewery, disintegrating the glass on the beer bottles in order to absorb the rich silicon and undoubtedly getting more drunk than a monkey in mango season.
Angel: Boy, that's tough! Anyways, after the Soldier Legion congregated in a subway underneath Sapporo (attacking a train and killing some passengers in the process), they planted a Legion Flower, which we'll get to in a little while. Luckily for humanity, Gamera arrived and destroyed the Legion Flower with his fireballs.
Tabashi: Unfortunately for Gamera, that pissed off the Soldiers, who bit and stabbed him repeatedly. Luckily for Gamera, though, the Soldiers were attracted to an electrical transformer, which electrocuted them to death. However, when Gamera flew away to recover from the bites from those annoying little shits, something suddenly emerged from the ground. Something big. Something powerful. Something that would give Iris a run for his money at being worthy of the title "Gamera's ultimate foe".
Angel: Enter Mother Legion, the Extraterrestrial, Insectoid Empress. This big, bad bug stands 459 feet (140 meters) tall, is 525 feet (160 meters) long, and weighs... 600 METRIC TONS!? COME ON!!
Tabashi: Yeah, the Gamera Kaiju are on the best frickin' diets in monster movie history. I mean, the Heisei King Ghidorah is that tall (at the very least), and he weighs 70,000—80,000 metric tons! That's about 117—133x Mother Legion's weight!
Angel: Well, at least the Soldier Legion have a halfway decent weight. They stand at 7—10 feet (2—3 meters) tall, are 10—16 feet (3—5 meters) long, and weigh 300 kilograms (661.4lbs, or 0.3 metric tons). In addition, the Legion Flower, when fully grown, stands 328 feet (100 meters) tall, is 197 feet (60 meters) wide, and weighs 3,000 metric tons. Finally, a decent weight!
Tabashi: Well, that's actually the heaviest object in the entire Gamera series, so don't get used to it. Anyways, after getting shot down by the JSDF (faking her death in the process), Mother Legion went to the city of Sendai, where she created new Soldier Legion and a new Legion Flower. Gamera arrived once again to battle Mother Legion, but she almost killed him. Mother Legion and the Soldier Legion then left as the pod from the Legion Flower began to seed. Gamera threw himself onto the pod, preventing it from going into space, but the 121 Megaton—1 Gigaton explosion still occurred. I wonder, though, would the explosion have been HIGHER if Gamera DIDN'T block the blast?
Angel: I guess we'll never know, Tabashi. Anyways, after that whole explosion debacle, Gamera was revived by the Earth's Mana, and he followed the Symbiotic Legion's trail of destruction to Tokyo (because of frickin' COURSE!), where they were attempting to plant yet another Legion Flower! Damn, I've gotta hand it to 'em, the Symbiotic Legion are pretty persistent in their goals!
Tabashi: Indeed they are. Back on track, though, while Gamera was busy battling Mother Legion, the Soldier Legion were busy duking it out with the JSDF, who ended up killing the Soldier Legion by luring them to an electrical plant, then blowing them up with some missiles. Meanwhile, Gamera, after a brutal battle with Mother Legion, was forced to absorb a shitload of Mana from the Earth to use his ultimate attack: the Mana Canon. Mother Legion was able to resist it for about 3—4 seconds, but it was in vain, for she was vaporized. However, the Symbiotic Legion were still very powerful for a monster race in Gamera's verse, so let's run through their abilities.
Angel: The Symbiotic Legion have High Band Electronic Eyes that allow them to detect electromagnetic waves of all wavelengths. Mother Legion's eyes are usually blue in color, but when she's pissed, her eyes will glow a bright red.
Tabashi: Mother can also fire a blue beam of focused Microwaves by splitting her nasal horn in half. This beam is known as the Microwave Shell, and it possesses not only splash damage, but also penetrating properties, as one shot was able to destroy the corner of Gamera's shell! Also, this attack (and others like it) causes Mother's nasal horn to burn hot enough to singe Gamera's hand, who literally embodies extremely hot temperatures! Man, talk about horny and hot!
Angel: ...Don't ever say that again.
Tabashi: Yeah, sorry. That honestly came out wrong.
Angel: Anyways, Gamera eventually DID manage to tear off Mother's nasal horn, but the Microwave Shell was replaced by the Butte Legion, or Red Rod.
Tabashi: Heh heh ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, "Butt" Legion!
Angel: No, not THAT kind of butt! This attack is basically like Gipsy Danger's Nuclear Vortex, in that it easily tore through the opponent's flesh. The difference is that the Butte Legion is a long—ranged attack that takes the form of an absolute "Butte" load of bright red—colored tendrils, which Mother can guide to a target. Also, again, the fact that this attack was able to burn THROUGH Gamera's flesh ('cause remember, he survived his own 3,600,000°F fireballs) is God damn impressive!
Tabashi: And you know that weird, strawberry—looking thing on Mother's stomach? Well, it's actually an Egg Chamber which she can use to produce 100 Soldiers per hour. That's almost 2 per minute! Mother guides her soldiers via electromagnetic waves, allowing them to seek out threats and be given attack commands. The Soldiers typically swarm their foes, clinging onto them and delivering powerful stabs and electrical discharges into their flesh. These Soldiers, for their relatively small size, were durable enough to survive being rammed into multiple buildings whilst being attached to Gamera.
Angel: Also, Mother has powerful front legs (known as Sledge Arms) that have incredibly sharp tips that can cut through many different materials and penetrate Gamera's shell. Mother can also use her Sledge Arms to burrow at a speed of 50—500 kilometres per hour (31.1—311mph), giving her a Kinetic Energy yield of 0.014—1.4 Tons of TNT.
Tabashi: Also, Mother has two REAR legs with sickles attached to them, known as Size Legs. These can be used to attack an opponent from underground by bursting out from underneath the opponent and impaling them, which is facilitated by the Size Legs’ wide range of motion.
Angel: Mother Legion also has an EXTREMELY durable shell, which consists of insulating materials similar to that of rigid silicon resin. Thus, the shell repels virtually any attack, like the Mana Canon... for about 14—18 seconds. So you just KNOW it has extreme heat resistance!
Tabashi: The Mana Canon's power output is said to be about 989.32 Gigatons of TNT PER SECOND (God dammit I can't get over that!), so that means Mother Legion must've survived an energy equivalent of about 14—18 Teratons of TNT! Holy shit that's high!
Angel: In addition to the Sledge Arms and Size Legs, Mother Legion has 10 clawed limbs around her head (you know, the spikes that make it look like a crown?) called Interference Wave Claws, which can produce different types of electromagnetic waves.
Tabashi: Those babies are primarily used to communicate with her Soldiers, but Mother can also use them to interfere with the communication of electronic devices. Really thought outside the box when you came up with that name, didn't you, Daei? Anyways, in addition to their communication-oriented techniques, the IWCs can generate an electromagnetic barrier which defends Mother against attacks by either deflecting or chemically breaking them down, depending on the type of projectile.
Angel: It seems that Mother Legion likes to reflect humanity's projectiles more than other Kaiju's, since she chose to reflect some missiles, but break down the ions of Gamera's Plasma Fireballs. Mother Legion can also fly at Mach 1 (767.3mph), giving her a KE yield of 8.4 tons of TNT. But luckily for the planet, the Symbiotic Legion are NOT infallible.
Tabashi: That's right. The Soldiers are very weak compared to their Mother, and they have a fetish of sorts towards other electromagnetic sources. Both of those weaknesses were exploited by the JSDF when they killed the Soldiers with a barrage of missiles AFTER luring them to an electrical substation. Also, the Flower will die when its pod launches into space to colonize a planet, so there's that as well. But Mother of God, does Mother Legion have some deadly weaknesses!
Angel: Mother Legion's Nasal Horn and IWCs are considerably weaker than the rest of her body, which was exploited when (respectively) Gamera tore it off and the JSDF blew them up with sustained fire from some anti-tank missiles. Also, she was indeed killed when Gamera used his Mana Canon against her. But still, even with their weaknesses, when the Symbiotic Legion stop by to colonize your planet, don't bother running. Your fates are already sealed.

Trivia[]
- The connection between SpaceGodzilla and Mother Legion is that they are both aliens that have invaded Earth, intending to colonize it in their image. In addition, both were rather hard for their respective foes to deal with.
