Sonic the Hedgehog (Archie) VS The Flash is a Death Battle created by Paleomario66.
Description[]
Sonic the Hedgehog VS DC Comics! Can Sonic's most powerful incarnation beat the fastest man alive??
Interlude[]
(Cues: Invader )
Wiz: Speed. Some characters are unusually fast, and some have speed that is beyond absurdity.
Boomstick: Archie Sonic, The most OP version of Sonic, from The Archie Comics.
Wiz: And The Flash, The fastest man alive.
Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win A DEATH BATTLE.
Sonic the Hedgehog (Archie)[]
Wiz: Archie Sonic is the OP version of Sonic the Hedgehog that is from the Archie Comics. Like video game Sonic, his trademark ability is his speed. In his early days, he could effortlessly break the sound barrier and even defeat his own shadow in a game of Shadow Boxing, making him FTL.
Boomstick: But that's not even close to how fast Sonic can go at his peak! He once scooped up some water, compressed into a ball, and then threw it in 0.0000000000001 milliseconds, or 100 attoseconds. Sonic could even run across universes through the cosmic interstate in less than a day. There were 1,000 Sonics, and the other universes have different Sonics. So using the distance of 93 billion light years for the universes and using the distance of 148,000 light years for the cosmic interstate and a time frame of 8 hours, Sonic would be going at 68.33912871782888 septillion mph, or 101,904,912,229,411,597.2 times the speed of light! And this is isn't accounting for how Sonic went and met to all the other Sonics.
Wiz: Archie Sonic has a lot of the same techniques as Game Sonic too, including the Spin Dash, and the Figure-Eight Peel-Out. The latter move increases his move increases his speed, strength and even allows him to briefly hover in midair. Sonic with his speed can even become a makeshift tornado, taking down any foes close to him. Sonic can also become a tornado by spinning his arms around, propelling him into the air and defeating anyone caught in his path. When running in place on roads, he can turn it into tar, stopping his enemies in their tracks.
Boomstick: Sonic isn't known for his strength, but he has shown some impressive feats, as seen when he is punching Eggman's robots with brute force, being able to damage the Egg Beater, which was specifically designed to counter and match Sonic's speed and strength, and with the power to lift people and objects that are several times his weight. Sonic, being a hedgehog, additionally also has an ability to dig.
Wiz: Sonic can manipulate Chaos Energy like Shadow, but to a lesser degree. When tapping into the Chaos Force, Sonic is granted chaos powers more powerful than they would normally be, and a wide array of other chaos powers not available to other chaos beings without the direct access to the chaos force. It turns that Sonic is the living embodiment of chaos, due to the mass amounts of Chaos energy he absorbed over time.
Boomstick: Sonic has the power to absorb Power Rings to get boosts of energy during battle. Hell, Sonic has absorbed so many Power Rings, that he had gained increased healing abilities.
Wiz: As a result of this, he possesses the ability to negate negative influences brought on by Chaos energy. With this ability, he was able to absorb energy from the Master Emerald despite its being locked by Finitevus' hex. No even the wizard Merlin Prower could explain how he did it.
Boomstick: Like Game Sonic, when this Sonic gets all 7 Chaos Emeralds, he becomes Super Sonic. As Super Sonic, he is FAR stronger, faster, and more durable than before, alongside the ability to use his Chaos Powers to its fullest, like Chaos Control, allowing him to bend the fabric of the space and time of an entire multiverse at his will.
Wiz: Super Sonic can even overwhelm enemies powered by negative energy via a positive energy aura. Super Sonic is so powerful and fast that his speed is stated to be incalculable, and when clashing with Hyper Knuckles, an entire universe was destroyed. He could even fight a weakened Enerjak avatar, which at its most powerful could wipe out multiple universes.
Boomstick: Even without his super form, Sonic can counter and survive a black hole generator, run across a multiverse twice in less than a day, and survive being flung across over 700,000 light years at MFTL+ speeds!
Wiz: Despite this, Sonic isn't perfect. Like his game counterpart, Sonic is cocky and arrogant, and he is lacking in strength compared to other Sonic characters. Still, with Sonic's crazy power, speed, and durability, he's a step up from his game counterpart.
Sonic: "I won't stop until I've saved everyone you've captured! I'll never stop until I've honored the sacrifices of everyone who's fallen along the way! And I won't be through until I've kicked your flabby behind once and for all! So you just keep pushin' me, doc! I'll push right back!"
The Flash[]
Wiz: The Flash, the fastest man alive. He is one of the fastest characters in fiction, but before he became the Flash, he was known as Barry Allen. One day when coming home, he found his mother dead, and his father wrongly convicted off the crime. Barry knew his dad was innocent, and in trying to clear him of the crime, he became a forensic scientist for the Central City police.
Boomstick: But, Barry couldn't set him free before he died. This strengthened his will to find the real murderer of his mother.
Wiz: One night, while working in his lab, he got struck by lightning and was knocked into chemicals. For any normal person this would have been fatal, and may have already died from the lightning, but since this is in a comic book, he got the power to run fast. From that point on, he gained a lot of abilities, including insane speeds, becoming The Flash.
Boomstick: Speed isn't the only thing he can do. He has a bunch of other abilities with his new power, including electrokinesis, the power to steal speed from others, accelerated healing, phasing, and vortex creation.
Wiz: The Flash gets all of these powers from the speed force, a separate realm that DC speedsters use as their power source. Although others like Wally West use it, Barry Allen actually created it and generates it.
Boomstick: Hell, he can enter it and bring enemies with him, and use it betterthan any other speedster can, which could allow him to surpass Wally West in speed, who at his peak could go 23,759,448,520,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 times the speed of light, and reach Trans-Time velocity via absorbing the kinetic energy of billions of people on Earth!
Speed
- Claimed to have evacuated all citizens of Tokyo in 30 seconds
- His speed also effects his mind and how he thinks
- Can process all information around him to the point of precognition (or 'thinking faster' as calls it).
- Post-Crisis Barry claims himself to be able to process events in less than an attosecond, or 10^-18 seconds. This is REALLY fucking fast.
- New 52 Barry can perceive what's happening at the level of a femtosecond.
- Called the JL Watchtower's computers 'slow.' These computers can process 100 quadrillion calculation per second.
- Learned an alien language in little over a minute.
- Ran the Speed Force through his mind to calculate an infinite number of possibilities when given Hal's ring.
- Can travel through time itself with his speed
- Can't really aim where he's going without the Cosmic Treadmill.
- Ran through time and outran the Black Racer, aka Death itself.
- Can dodge punches from and race evenly with Pre-Crisis Superman
- Runs so incredibly fast that he travels backwards in time, destroys the Anti-Monitor’s anti-matter cannon that would have destroyed the universe, and enters the Speed Force.
- Note: Wally West - the next Flash - tries to recreate this feat and fails.
- In his search for the Spectre, Barry searched the entire solar system and beyond in moments and claims to be able to search the entire universe.
- Assuming he searched every planet at least once (or travelling their diameter), he would be traveling at 11.8 quintillion times the speed of light.
- Should scale to Wally West.
- Wally Was able to move at trans-time velocities by absorbing the kinetic energy of billions of people on Earth.
- Wally out-sped the Gambler's instantaneous movement. FUCKING INSTANTANEOUS MOVEMENT!
Wiz: He has a lot of other feats too. He's fast enough to process in less than an attosecond. 1 attosecond is 10^-18 seconds! He called the JL supercomputers slow, which can process 100 quadrillion calculations per second. In a little over a minute, he learned a whole alien language. His speed is so insane he's kept up with Pre-Crisis Superman, and even time traveled a few times. He even searched the Solar System and beyond in moments in search for Spectre, and claimed to be able to search the entire universe. Assuming this is true, and he searched each planet at least once, he would be traveling 11.8 quintillion times the speed of light.
Boomstick: And for a guy whose that fast, he's actually quite powerful durable. As we know, he survived the event that gave him those powers in the first place. He was once flicked by Superman hard enough to get sent flying into a hot dog stand. Ouch. And this was New 52 Superman, a guy who could bench press the Earth for 5 days straight WITHOUT any sunlight!
Wiz: With the Speed Force, his durability and power are enhanced even more, particularly with the Infinite Mass Punch, where he vibrates at just under light speed, hitting with the power of a White Dwarf Star, and he should scale to Eobard Thawne, who tanked an Infinite Mass Punch, making his peak durability and AP at Star level.
Boomstick: Unfortunately, with all of his crazy speed, the Flash has some crucial flaws.
Wiz: He's rather cocky, often getting in bad situations simply because he's sure he can get out of them. He also tends to rush into situations without thinking them through first. Having a crazy metabolism, he obviously needs to eat a lot of food. His speed can be hindered or nullified by users of time manipulation, those who can somehow sever his connection with the Speed Force, or even breaking his legs. He also is one of DC's most unfortunate victims of bad writing.
Boomstick: Regardless, with crazy speeds like this, its gonna be pretty damn hard to counter it!
Flash: "Life is locomotion... if you're not moving, you're not living. But there comes a time when you've got to stop running away from things... and you've got to start running towards something, you've got to forge ahead. Keep moving. Even if your path isn't lit... trust that you'll find your way."
Intermission[]
Wiz: Alright, the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all!
Boomstick: IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTLLLLLLLLLLEEE!
DEATH BATTLE![]
Note: This is a follow-up to One Minute Melee: Shadow VS The Flash
In the air, the Flash managed to get out of the condensed Chaos Blast and he landed down on the ground before running towards Shadow and punching him the face, sending him flying for hundreds of feet away into a large building.
Sonic turned and saw this, then faced the Flash, now angry.
Sonic: Hey, man. I'm not sure how you'd feel about this, but I don't tolerate anyone harming my friends.
Flash: Your friends attacked me first! I had to defend myself! I also have been looking for you Sonic! I want to fight you!
Sonic: Well, if its a fight you want, it's a fight, you'll get!
Both combatants ran toward each other, ready for battle.
Sonic and Flash's punches collided, and the former managed to surprise the latter with a combo of punches and kicks. Sonic tried to punch him again, but the Flash easily dodged him. He then proceeded to spin quickly, catching Sonic off guard and knocking him away.
Sonic recovered and charged up a Spin Dash. The Flash ran towards Sonic, ready to punch him. The latter released the Spin Dash, and the two collided, knocking each other back. Sonic was quicker to recover.
Flash got up soon afterwards, then proceeded to rush into Sonic multiple times, trying to overwhelm him with his speed. He was moving so quickly that Sonic couldn't escape. The Flash eventually knocked Sonic away, but he got up quickly.
He ran towards Flash, but the latter grabbed him and stole his speed.
Sonic: What... I.. can't.......move!
Flash: It's over, Sonic!
The Flash then used the Infinite Mass punch to try to finish off Sonic. The force of the punch sent Sonic flying, and the Flash ran after him. Sonic was flying for a few miles, before he recovered mid-air and landed by a forest. He turned, and dodged an attack from the Flash via a back flip.
Flash: (Damn it! How is he this tough? Nothing's worked! I guess I have one last trick!)
He suddenly pulled Sonic into the speed force.
Sonic: Huh? Where are we?
Flash: You're in the speed force. MY speed force. This is the source of my power.
He rushed behind Sonic, and then ran the other way.
Flash: And here, I AM KING!
Sonic turned, but only just before the Flash proceeds to clobber Sonic with his speed, before knocking him away with his punch. The Flash, now with assistance from the speed force, made an even greater Infinite Mass Punch. Sonic took his chance to recover in midair and pull out the Chaos Emeralds.
The Flash smashed into Sonic, but it did nothing.
Flash: WHAT!
Super Sonic grinned, then kicked the Flash away then rushed into him so fast they landed out of the speed force. Sonic teleported behind the Flash, and kicked him in the face, obliterating it.
K.O.
The Flash's body fell onto the floor, lifeless.
Results[]
Sonic reverted back to normal and scratched his head.
Sonic: Well, sorry I had to do this, Flash, but you deserved it after harming my friends.
Boomstick: And another combatant lost their head. Literally!
Wiz: Yeah. The Flash was MUCH, MUCH faster than Sonic, but Sonic actually beat Flash in most categories, particularly Attack Potency and Durability.
Boomstick: The gap in speed was huge, but Sonic's power and durability could certainly allow him to hold his own. At best, the Flash was Star level+ via the Infinite Mass Punch. Tanking the black hole generator and overpowering it makes base form Sonic Multi-Solar System level.
Wiz: Most of Wally's greatest speed feats come from absorbing kinetic energy from other people, which would be outside help. Also, Sonic has insane speed feats of his own. He once ran so fast that everything else around him was literally frozen. Sonic's water ball throwing feat gives him a reaction time of 100 attoseconds, not too far behind the Flash, so the difference wasn't enough for Flash to win.
Boomstick: Super Sonic made it near-impossible for the Flash to damage him, since Sonic took hits from a weakened Multi-Universal Enerjak avatar with no damage. Flash is only Star level, so Super Sonic is infinitely more powerful than Flash at his peak. He would never even SCATHE him. Hell, his ways of bypassing durability likely won't even work on Super Sonic.
Wiz: And although phasing could possibly affect base form Sonic, his durability is still so high that Flash might not even be able to pull it off.
Boomstick: Looks like the Flash was "too slow"!
Wiz: The winner is Archie Sonic.

Sonic the Hedgehog (Archie) VS The Flash is a What-If? Death Battle created by BangJang96. The Flash in this battle will be Barry Allen, facing off against comic, or Archie Sonic.
Description[]
Sonic the Hedgehog VS DC Comics! The lightspeed collision between the red and blue speedsters! Will the Flash win the ultimate race of life or death, or will Sonic leave the Flash in the dust?
Interlude[]
(Cue-: Death Battle: Wiz & Boomstick )
Boomstick: Strength. Durability. Weapons. Three of my favorite things! But you know something that makes all three of these look like a joke? Speed! As ol' and reliable as my shotgun leg! Fighting an opponent you can't hit will sure to make you lose your shit.
Wiz: And like its other physicality counterparts, comic books have pushed speed passed the limit of absolute absurdity and comprehensible science, paving way for a long legacy of speedster past, present, and future.
Boomstick: But when speed is your defining power, you gotta live for the moments to truly be the fastest you can be. And only two have set in stone their titles as the fastest alive in their respected universes!
Wiz: Archie Sonic, the fastest thing alive of Archie Comics.
Boomstick: And the Flash, DC Comics' fastest man alive!
Wiz: For this fight, we will be examining both the Pre & Post Genesis Wave to examine Archie Sonic at his absolute best and potential, and will focus only on this instead of his significantly lesser game counterpart for a much more in-depth look of what Sonic is truly capable of.
Boomstick: Hes Wiz, and I'm Boomstick!
Wiz: And its our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win...a DEATH BATTLE!
Archie Sonic[]
(Cue-: [1] His World- Sonic Theme- 2006 )
Wiz: The year was 3235. The distant future. And in this distant future, there was a planet simply known as Mobius.
Boomstick: But don't let the name fool you. This is actually Earth 12,000 years into the future, and was populated by a race known as the Xorda, and came to Earth in hopes of offering a peace treaty over a nice cup of urbal tea. But since everyone knows humans are the real danger to society, they decide to instead attempt to use them as science experiments to help produce loads of technology lead by Doctor Ivan Kintobor, great great great great great GREAT grandpappy to the one and only, Doctor Robotnik.
Wiz: Naturally seeing this as a sign of aggression from the humans the Xorda race retaliated by planting Gene Bombs across the planet to exterminate all of human life there and the humans attempted to build cities underground that granted them safety from these bombs. Unfortunately, those bombs had a not-so-slight side effect to the whole operation.
Boomstick: Turns out those bombs weren't just coated with biosphere-killing technology, but also uncanny valley mutation technology! And as a result made the surviving humans that came out of the underground cities into slightly mutated humans...with four fingers! Oh, the humanity!
Wiz: These became known as the Overlanders, and along with them, the rest of the animal kingdom in that Earth also experienced a major course in evolution, from interacting with human DNA, turning them into the dominant species of Moibus, the Mobians.
Boomstick: Fast forward a couple thousand or so years later, and the entire planet enters the Great War, an all-out battle between furry-kind and uncanny human kind! And like good ol' Jurassic Park has taught me, "Life uh...finds a way." And the Mobians made the humans look like total chumps.
Wiz: But the Overlanders weren't done yet. Since they couldn't keep up with the superiority of the Mobians, they sent one of their greatest and ironically most incompetent someonewhat front line scientist, one of Sonics greatest enemies for life...Dr. Robotnik.
Boomstick: Forget incompetent! This badass decided to take over Mobotropolis, rename it Robotropolis, and launch an entire robot invasion on said city.
Wiz: In the midst of Robotniks conquest, a child, or more specifically a baby hedgehog was born that day. A hedgehog that would one day become the King of Mobius and their savior, and forever seal his fate as Robotniks greatest enemy. And if you know him by heart, that baby, was Sonic the Hedgehog.
Boomstick: Or if you want the funnier version, you can call him by his full name! Sonic Oglivie Maurice Hedgehog! Try taking him seriously after saying that enough times.
Wiz: Born with a ludicrous name is just adding insult to injury, when you consider his parents went out in a way far worse then death, as they were transformed into robots in Robotniks army that essentially made Sonic an orphan being raised by his Uncle Chuck.
Boomstick: What a lucky guy! Wiz, I'm gonna go buy me a hedgehog so I can paint it blue and teach it to run as fast as Sonic can!
Wiz: Boomstick, do you even know anything about raising a Hedgehog in the first place?
Boomstick: No, but they're just so damn cute and terrifying that it makes me want an army of them! Or one to talk too late at night about how much my wife was a disgusting, dirty bitch.
Wiz: Ever considered I don't know...finding another wife?
Boomstick: Unless she has a shotgun for an arm, I'm not puttin' myself out there until I feel like it.
Wiz: Anyways, Sonic was in shackles after the traumatic loss of his parents, but didn't throw in the towel just yet. Soon maturing and joining in the fight against Robotnik, Sonic found himself teaming up with the Freedom Fighters to help fight against the tyranny of Robotni-
Boomstick: Damn it I can't keep this up, can you just call him Eggman? Robotniks no fun anymore! Anyway, although they were able to put up a fight, Eggman and his mustache were too much for the Freedom Fighters to handle and were defeated inevitably.
Wiz: And with the additional loss of the Freedom Fighters' best defender, Colonel Tig Stripe after being in the hands of Eggman, Sonic had to step up from there. Then, he and his friends would form the new Freedom Fighters in remembrance of their original counterparts, and made a vow to end Eggmans tyrannical rule and iron fist over Mobius.
Boomstick: But Eggman was just the tip of the iceberg for Sonic! Down the line, hes gonna be defending a planet from mammoths powered by emeralds, green hedgehogs, and robots infused with god powers! All in a blue hedgehogs work, amirite?
((Cue-: Open Your Heart )
Wiz: And what better way to combat these titanic threats, then with a multitude of bizarre powers at his disposal?
Boomstick: Sonic takes speed, and separates it into multiple categories to confuse you even more then the games power-ups already do! Sonic can perform the Spin Dash, by curling up into a ball and charging at enemies, he can utilize this to bounce and deflect himself off any objects.
Wiz: Hes fast enough to leave afterimages that are produced at such a high speed and with absolute precision, that he can make them look like common duplicates of himself as a tactical means of tricking his opponents in battle.
Boomstick: And one of his most unique abilities you probably didn't see coming, is his ability to manipulate fucking WATER! Thats just ridiculous. A hedgehog who can't swim but can control water...I wanna believe it, but I just can't.
Wiz: Although versatile, his water manipulation does come with a catch, and that it can only be thrown in balls of water. But don't let that undersell the ability yet, as he can only throw them, but form in them in a tenth of a femtosecond, which is one quadrillionth of a second Sonic has to take the time and effort to form, and throw the ball at his enemies.
Boomstick: Wait, seriously? All that for a ball of water? Damn, thats what I call dedication to useless abilities! Like the time I drank beer out of the exhaust pipe of your car, Wiz!
Wiz: You did WHAT?
Boomstick: Anyways, when Sonic really wants to be speed, he uses the Super Peel Out attack, that places him stationary and charges up speed behind his punches to make him stronger, faster, and more durable.
Wiz: By using Boost, Sonic can summon a blue aura around him to reach higher shortbursts of speed while he is running, and can utilize wind in two variants to attack, and defend.
Boomstick: The first one is Whirlwind Spin, which takes his enemies into the sky at high speeds of winds, that he can use to blow multiple enemies away at once with, or carry them up to Heaven like the prophet Elijah!
Wiz: The second one is Vortex Vacuum, which Sonic can use to put out flames and also cut off the oxygen supply of others to suffocate them with ease. Or if he just wants to ruin their day, he can use Fissures by running around them so fast, it cuts a hole in the ground and drops them in a trench so they can be buried alive.
Boomstick: God damn! I did not remember Sonics abilities being a bunch of dick moves! Now I don't want a hedgehog, they're scary just the way they use their body alone.
Wiz: Its not just hedgehog physiology going for the Blue Blur, Sonic on his own has numerous power-ups in his arsenal at his disposable that work for situational circumstances, such as his standard Power Rings that he carries with him from time to time, that help amplify his strength, and especially durability to that of greater heights to increase his overall toughness.
Boomstick: So damn tough that he was able to survive being launched across the span of 849,000 light years in a short timeframe like a champ!
Wiz: Being launched over 4.990953e+18 miles per hour is certainly impressive, but when Sonic really wants to crank it up a notch, or in this case a billion notches, he brings out the all-powerful...One Billionth Ring Power Aura. Granted to him as a gift three beings who reside in the Chaos Force and are one with it outside of time and space.
Boomstick: Ah yes, nothin' better then receiving a gift from three hippy deities to solve all your problems! Anyway, the One Billion Ring is the ring to end all rings. This baby protects Sonic from almost anything, can protect him in ways both physically and spiritually, and even preserve Sonics Life Force to prevent it from being destroyed, like when he was completely vaporized by the Ultimate Annihilator, and came back to life just fine.
Wiz: Think of it like a Stand from JoJos Bizarre Adventure if it were in all circumstances a defensive last resort. This ring grants an aura around Sonic that can guarantee the probability or prevention of his death, nullify opposing forces of magic, and even return some of his powers if they were to be taken away from him, even his own speed.
Boomstick: But wait, theres more! Sonic not only uses steroid rings, but steroid gems as well, in the form of seven lovely chaos steroid emeralds.
Wiz: By just utilizing one chaos emerald alone, Sonic has the ability known as Chaos Control, which is a technique that Sonic has mastered in a variety of ways to solve his problems. He can stop the flow of time to immobilize enemies, manipulate matter to an unknown degree, open portals or gateways through space, or essentially just warp the fabric of reality in doing so.
Boomstick: But when he bibbity bobbity boos, puts all seven of em together and what does he get?
Wiz: Of all the transformations Sonic as gone through, ranging from Sonic Man to Sonic the Werehog, none are as versatile and deadly as the almighty Super Sonic.
Boomstick: Remember how Super Sonic only lasted for a limited amount of time in the games? Well yeah, forget all of that! Sonic can stay in Super as long as he needs too in order to drag out a fight out or finish an opponent off at their strongest, and when Sonic goes Super, you better pray to God he means happy trails to you.
Wiz: Super Sonic runs solely on the power from the Chaos Emeralds, boosting his strength, speed, and durability to heights any other Sonic incarnation could only dream of. Through this immense power gives him reality warping that scratches the surface of what Chaos Control can do, by being able turn any dream into a reality and are already known enough for being able to shape entire worlds.
(Cue-: Fist Bump )
Boomstick: Damn, take that steroid rings!
Wiz: And thats not all. Super Sonic also can casually erase other beings from existence with no thought put into it whatsoever, as if said being never existed in the first place.
Boomstick: And if that doesn't convince you, Super Sonic can turn intangible, create forcefields that can fire chaos beams from it to utilize both offense and defense, and even use the Chaos Emeralds to seal other people inside of them like a helpless Baby Yoda inside a homemade Snow-globe.
Wiz: And finally, Super Sonic can counter any evil or energies with a passive effect that acts as holy manipulation, to weaken beings of pure evil, such as his showings against angered Perfect Chaos or Enerjak.
Boomstick: Wait a minute, you mean the meathead who will rightfully eat a napkin is also a Godly being that can crush people with islands and destroy basically everything?
Wiz: In a weird way, yes.
Boomstick: God damn it, nature is scary, every single one of these cute animals can kill you with a blink of an eye! Whats next, Tails takes steroids too?
Wiz: Well, now that you mention it...
Boomstick: Son of a bitch, they got him too? Today I've learned that nature is cruel, colorful, scary, and animals are secretly bodybuilers who take steroids from rings!
Wiz: Relax, its not like it can get any more ridiculous from here.
Boomstick: Well guess what? It can! Super Sonic is only step two to a three year plan retirement! By combining the Power steroid Rings with the Steroid Chaos emeralds, he can reach maximum hedgehog steroids in his final form...Ultra Sonic.
Wiz: Ultra Sonic focuses more on overall abilities then his physicality unlike Super Sonic, and as such does not possess the same invulnerable traits as his Super counterpart. But what he lacks in defense, he has a terrifying offense in the form of elemental manipulation as shown against Ugly Naugus that he can manipulate non-organic materials on a subatomic level without any problem, and even use this to his advantage to adapt to his surroundings, like being able to match the heat of a desert or the ice of a frozen tundra.
Boomstick: But if you really manage to piss him off, he'll open a portal and throw you into the Zone of Silence, or any other location he wants too in the universe, hopefully not my ex-wifes house...
Wiz: The Zone of Silence operates as a separate dimension in which prisoners have their sound and vibrations deteriorate until they lose their powers, and depending on how powerful they are magically or not, they will only last either a few days or a few hours before they inevitably die.
Boomstick: When you put all these powers together, then give Sonic the capability to go beyond the speed of light, you my sir have just entered terrifying writing category because there have been loads of enemies that have had to deal with this monstrosity.
Wiz: Sonics speed is far beyond the standard speed you'd expect in the games, ranging from over the speed of sound to outrunning black holes. But that pales in comparison to the feats Archie Sonic can pull off, such as traveling the Cosmic Interstate within the Multiverse twice in one day, which assuming he traveled around the entire local solar systems, galaxies, planets, and stars locally, he would be going over 1.63 septillion times the speed of light.
Boomstick: Or how about the time he and Knuckles got so pissed at each other, they destroyed a zone just by clashing at each other at the speed of light!
Wiz: A "Zone" might you call it, is a term in Archie Comics used to describe dimensions or universes outside of the Prime Zone, although that isn't always the case, as zones can be tinier pocket dimensions, areas as big as the general Greenhill Zone, or just a cave. Based on the context that the fabric of reality was destroyed in their clash however, it could've ranged from a pocket dimension to a universe, although the panels later in which we see it don't paint a big picture about the zone.
Boomstick: Hes faced off against the powerful deity known as Enerjak, taken down Scourge the Hedgehog, and even helped Mega Man beat God Sigma=3, who at the time was juggling galaxies like a god damn circus clown!
Wiz: And then proceeded to reverse the effects of it by rewriting the Multiverse using indirect Chaos energy.
Boomstick: Is there anything that this hedgehog can't do? Like, can he still not swim in the comic books?
Wiz: Not that swimming would matter since Archie Sonic can fly in the long run and just blow up a planet if he was drowning, however that doesn't get him out of jail free yet. Archie Sonic is still cocky and arrogant and somewhat taunty in battle in a joking manner yes, but sometimes it gets in the way of his objective.
Boomstick: Theres also a lot of drawbacks to some of his abilities and weapons, like the One Billionth Power Ring Aura can't function outside the Prime Zone universe, rendering its abilities compeltely useless, and the emeralds and rings in general are something he has to hold onto at all times and can't afford to have them snatched.
Wiz: Super Sonic can still be harmed by beings on his level or higher, and Ultra Sonic trades in the invulnerable stats of Super Sonic for more passive, offensive power but still cannot manipulate organic materials with his element manipulation.
Boomstick: But that hardly ever stops the Blue Blur from synchronizing himself with speed alone, and he'll always be running whether it be at the bad guys, away from the bad guys, or to get home to eat Ma's chili dogs!
Wiz: And it serves his title right, as Mobius is safe when they share the home of the fastest thing alive.
I won't stop until I've saved everyone you've captured! I'll never stop until I've honored the sacrifices of everyone who's fallen along the way! And I won't be through until I've kicked your flabby behind once and for all! So you just keep pushin' me, doc! I'll push right back!
The Flash[]
(Cue-: Superhero )
Boomstick: Superman. The Man of Steel. Capable of sneezing away solar systems and punching out a sixth dimension god by taking a bath in the Sun. Batman. Caped Crusader. Takes on clowns, shapeshifting monsters, and superhuman strong men. Wonder Woman. Amazon Warrior. Slices through atoms with just a sword and tangles with the Greek Gods themselves!
Wiz: The notably fourth member of the Justice League is someone with a leg-up against his fellow Leaguers, and that he is without a doubt...the fastest man alive.
Boomstick: But of course, reality said "fuck you, you deserve pain, misery, sorrow, loss, grief, and struggles" for character development and because we can't break tradition of dead parents. So the only important thing to do was kill his mom.
Wiz: One day after coming home waiting to probably read the latest of the Jay Garrick comics, he discovered his Mother had been murdered in cold blood, and that his father was the murderer. Unfortunately, you can't really assume much from what a small child would say happened.
Boomstick: Turns out, Barrys moms real killer was one of the Flashes greatest enemy from the 25th century...the esrever-hsalF.
Wiz: The what?
Boomsick: The esrever-hsalF. You know, the one in the yellow suit? The legit polar opposite of him?
Wiz: You mean Eobard Thawne, the Reverse-Flash?
Boomstick: Yes, the esrever-hsalF.
Wiz: The Reverse-Flash killed Barrys mother yes, but it wouldn't take Barry til' after a while to figure out who it really was and still hung onto the idea that his dad was in fact innocent.
Boomstick: So to clear his father of the crime, Barry became a forensic scientist for the Central City Police in hopes that he could eventually track down the real killer of his mom.
Wiz: However during one fateful night, a storm broke loose and ended up striking Barry Allen through the roof, and knocking him into a rack of chemicals that really should've been specified what they were. I mean I get the lightning part, but the chemicals makes it even more confusing.
Boomstick: And the moment that lightning bolt hit Barry, it inadvertently created one of the most bullshit excuses in comic book history.
Wiz: Right, as Barry had survived the somehow-not-fatal accident, he unleashed the cosmic energy that would fuel speedsters alike for generations called, the Speed Force.
Boomstick: Its quite simple really. One, its the Force from Star Wars only it lets you go fast, two it pretty much grants you an advantage in any fight since you're well beyond lightspeed at this point, and three it does things that basically need to be done because writers wrote themselves into a corner.
Wiz: Well, yes and no, but mostly no. The Speed Force is a quasi-mystical energy force that DC speedsters tap into for their super speed and other abilities and Barry himself is directly responsible for fueling said powers to the speedsters.
Boomstick: Every time Barry takes just one step of the Speed Force he generates more and more of it, as if existing outside of space and time isn't enough already.
Wiz: And its because of these reasons that Barry has the most potential due to being the undisputed creator of the Speed Force and his many encounters with it. While people like Wally West have also shown an incredible bond with the Speed Force, Barry can theoretically replicate what Wally has done and more.
Boomstick: Think of it like comparing a man who can make millions of dollar per month vs a man who can manifest any form of currency at will! Barry has used the Speed Force in a variety of ways thanks to its near unlimited pool of energy.
Wiz: It isn't just combat and running speed he can pull off, his mind alone is loaded with different ways to react to opponents to calculate the next possible outcomes before they even happen.
Boomstick: One notable way is Flash has precognition, meaning he can see far beyond in the future ahead of time to know what events will happen, and take specific counter-measurements to those actions thanks to have seen what will happen prior to what is going to happen...try wrapping your head around that one.
Wiz: The Speed Force also acts as a sort'ave processor or a calculator, being able to scan anything and see what will come or what he can do, such as the time he acquired a Green Lantern ring, the Speed Force essentially willed the infinite array of ideas that Barry could use the ring with all in just a moments notice.
Boomstick: Flash also is fast enough to work the Justice League Watchtower computer and even call it slow, despite Cyborg pointing out that Flash is thinking faster then a computer that can make over one hundred thousand trillion calculations per second, which is more work then a human computer can do in a whole decade, and yet he still can't think of oh I don't know...solving all the worlds problems like hunger and poor people! Wake up spandex!
Wiz: But all of that pales in comparison one of the Flashes greatest mind feats, him being able to process events in less then an attosecond, which if you take into consideration, would mean Flash would operating at speeds approximately 0.000.000.000.000.000.0001 seconds, and thats 19 zeroes. Humans unfortunately cannot comprehend such immeasurable timeframes, so the examples will have to do. 12 attoseconds is shortest measurable period of time that science has ever uncovered, and while light can travel around the Earth 7.5 times in one second, in an attosecond light wouldn't even be able to reach the other end of the molecule in time. One attosecond is what the size of an atom is to the size of an entire planet multiplied by 100, meaning that Flash if he was potentially immortal could live out the entire age of the universe before a human being can finish blinking. And of course, he did say less then all of this.
Boomstick: Its hard to take this seriously when a goon with a gun made of cold can somehow tag someone that fast.
Wiz: Well in fairness, Flash can resist absolute zero with relative ease, so its not like it matters. It is important to know however that despite Flash fighting vastly underpowered villains, it unfortunately comes with living the same city as theirs and in Flashes defense, if he really tried, he would kill them on the spot if he didn't hold back, as he has stated that if he didn't hold back, he could potentially rip a whole through space and time.
Boomstick: With how much he time travels, I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet! Seriously, how does this guy keep all his powers in check?
Wiz: Most of his powers aren't speed-related, mind you such as the ability to control, generate, and throw kinetic energy/lightning at foes with enough power, and can manipulate the wind of vortexes to fly in the air when hes not in space.
Boomstick: Flash can breathe AND run in space?
Wiz: Yes, Flash can run so fast he can enter space if he went just by running or generating vortexes into the atmosphere to get there. But it doesn't stop there. Flash has a unique ability by means of intangibility to be able to phase through solid matter, phase through hordes of enemies, or phase through others as a means of harming them or if hes really mad, essentially tearing out their organs or tear off their limbs.
Boomstick: He can even phase so hard, he can phase to other entire universes if he controls himself enough!
Wiz: In doing this specific phasing ability, this is what allowed Flash to discover the parallel Earth of Earth-2, and essentially kickstart what people would know today was the DC Multiverse by suggesting the entire concept of it! Its all thanks to Flash really that we even have a map of a local Multiverse to begin with.
Boomstick: He can also use phasing in general to rearrange his molecules at will, especially if he ever needs a quick heal, and its so effective he can heal from being turned into paste, dust, being melted, or just disintegrating entirely!
Wiz: Its essentially regeneration thanks to his molecules vibrating at such a high frequency that Flash can rearrange them whenever he wants because of how fast they react to the action of doing rearrangement.
Boomstick: Flash can manipuluate the friction of heat just by rubbing his hands together to keep warm by the fire...the fire that he made from MELTING AN ENTIRE FUCKING BATTLESHIP!
Wiz: He can give off a light aura, manipulate light to blind people, and even lend the Speed Force to other people if they run out or get tired as a way of self-sustenance. But what the Speed Force has in passive powers it also has in powers of absorption.
(Cue-: Running )
Boomstick: Flash can steal the speed of others entirely, and its shown he can do it to people who don't use the Speed Force like Daniel West, or when Wally West used it on Inertia after he killed dear old Bart Allen, and even Jay Garrick was able to use it on fucking Superman! And then give it back to him casually!
Wiz: Speed steal is more then just stealing the ability to run; it negates someones durability, mobility, and overall ability to move to that of a living statue that will take a century just to blink, making them completely useless.
Boomstick: Damn, imagine just being a museum statue like Intertia! Just watching the world go by forever and you don't know when it ends and you just wanna have a beer already...
Wiz: One of his most mastered and useFUL abilities now is his ability to time travel.
Boomstick: But Wiz! What about Flashpoint? Wasn't that whole reboot screw-up his fault?
Wiz: Well, yes of course but he still technically knew what he was doing when he was time traveling. The Flash utilizes time travel so fast, he describes it casually as moving outside of space and time. The fact is overlooked that he just wanted to save his mom recklessly and if you had the chance to do it, would you?
Boomstick: Well in this case it'd be meeting my dad! Then maybe I come back to then and my ex-wife is the President! Everything could get screwed up just because you looked at the dad you never had!
Wiz: Time travel isn't the only time-based ability Flash has, as he has shown a high ability to control the flow of time by tapping into White Lightning. A users speed can be defined by the color of their lightning aura behind the trail they leave. Standard red/yellow lightning is often seen with speedsters moving at normal speeds. Blue lightning is speedsters moving notably faster then their normal speed. White lightning is the highest form, and the user is moving at incredibly unknown speeds, and Barry also gains an ability to manipulate time.
Boomstick: But this isn't your average "ohh stop time and punch you while your frozen" type, Barry can casually move time forward to his advantage, to directly counter the ability to turn back time used by the Reverse-Flash.
Wiz: Thats not the only way Barry has control of time. Since Barry is powered by the Speed Force, which exists outside of time and space, Barry can use forward time manipulation to be able to connect to every living being in the Multiverse, take them into the future a few seconds ahead, and selectively leave out people or objects he desires, such as what he did to the Future Turtle to thwart his plans.
Boomstick: Damn! Thats a good way to step up from being spanked by gorillas!
Wiz: And while speed is the Flashes most prominent and main ability, it is easy to forget that the Flash is still a heavy hitter and a tough fighter.
Boomstick: Hes strong enough to draw blood from Wonder Woman, who can tank hits from Hunter Zolomon, who she states can hit harder then Superman! Hes also strong enough to punch people at lightspeed so hard, even Superman can get stunned or hurt by it.
Wiz: He can contend with people just as strong as the Man of Steel, such as the Daxamites, White Martians, and even an alternate version of Superman known as the Tangent Superman. One technique to also enhance his strength, is to utilize one of the Flashes greatest Flash Facts...the Infinite Mass Punch.
Boomstick: Sure he technically hasn't used it since his return from the dead, but it was revealed by Wally West that Barry taught him how to use it to be able to use a punch equivalent to the mass of a White Dwarf Star...who then casually proceeded to knock out a fucking White Martian with it! White Martians are strong enough to match Superman and Kyle Rayner, who are both strong enough to tank black holes and perform feats stronger then solar system bustign.
Wiz: Barry was able to go toe-to-toe with the Future Turtle, who was manipulating the Still Force to nearly drag the entire Multiverse to a hault. The Stil Force was one of the seven forces concealed in the Source Wall before being released. It was strong enough to even stop Mr. Mxypltkz at one point, who he considers people like Darkseid to be lesser beings then him. Barrys durability is also surprisingly impressive, even as vulnerable as he is standing still, hes still very tanky.
Boomstick: Hes strong enough to withstand a flick from Superman, tank beatings from the likes of Reverse-Flash and Godspeed, and even tank the Omega Beams point-blank, which can erase people from existence just after one hit!
Wiz: Hes survived having his life forced absorbed, nearly being erased from existence, temperatures hot and cold, and can even use the Speed Force as a cushion against most heavy damage that would normally injure him.
Boomstick: And of course, theres his dangerous ability to go faster then the speed of light. And the things you can do with that get a whole lot more ridiculous...
Wiz: Breaking the speed of light would require one to go over 6,500,000 miles per hour. In Flashes case, hes gone well over the trillion range in lightspeed to the point where his speed is considered immeasurable.
Boomstick: Hes fast enough to outrace Superman a total of three times, even Pre-Crisis Supes was left in the dust against Flash! And Superman has the ability to react to missiles capable of sterilizing entire universes!
Wiz: These weren't just any missiles. These were missiles coming from the Monitor ships, classified by the Monitors and Multiversal Maps guide to be "reality-blitzing missiles". Superman, Overman, and Shazam had to travel fast enough to stop those missiles. Assuming Adam Stranges statement of how large a DC universe really is, 150 trillion lightyears in length, and assuming Superman traveled 100 light years per second, Superman would need to be moving at 3.15 sextillion times the speed of light, meaning Flash can scale directly above this due to being consistently faster then Superman.
Boomstick: Theres also the time he outran the Black Racer, one of the many aspects of Death! But this wasn't just any Death riding a pair of skiis to murder you, this aspect of Death was designed to be faster then the New Gods and kill them when they die, Darkseid included!
Wiz: If you may note, Darkseid took a trip to the edge of the universe at speeds over 18 octillion times faster then the speed of light, and the Black Racer mind you was designed to be faster then him, so no New God could escape Death when it came. And both Barry and Wally outran it.
Boomstick: Barry has can surface the entire universe in just a few moments just to find the Spectre, go so fast he generates enough power to shake the Microverse, the sky, New Genesis and Apokolips, and even the Green! All because him and Wally were running and fighting! All this running has gotten him lifetime scores, like becoming the God of Death itself, getting a girl, and saving the entire Multiverse from the Anti-Monitor, at the cost of going to the Speed Force. Ah, Barry...a speedster in the streets, but slow and steady in the sheets.
Wiz:Despite the immense power and speed behind Barrys legacy, there is still a cost to his misdeeds and actions in the time travel department, and sometimes his powers are a detriment to Barry due to how much he holds back and tries not to kill people.
Boomstick: His metabolism is also super high, meaning he needs to consume a lot of calories just to keep up with his own stomach, and sometimes the Speed Force can be ruptured at random, but it doesn't take long for Barry to get back on his feet.
Wiz: Despite the immense pressure of possessing the abilities that even he hasn't fully explored yet, Barry Allen has cemented the legacy as one of DCs greatest characters that define the thrill of speed, and what it truly means to be living life and going fast.
Flash: Stay put, I'll be back in a Flash! Bart: How often does he say that? Everyone else: *sigh*, too often...
Intermission[]
Wiz: Alright, the combatants are set, we've run the data through all possibilities.
Boomstick: Its time...for a DEATH BATTLE!
DEATH BATTLE![]
Central City. Rustling with life, cars going by, winds moving at 35 miles per hour, and in the midst of all of it....a red blur goes by. Passing through every lane, going past every car, running up buildings and jumping on them with absolute precision; a calm and content Barry Allen. Guarding over his beloved home of Central City from any threat or danger the night could offer to him, and he was taking the scenic route along the way.
Shooting down the road at the speed of light, another yellow and red blur parallel of colors to the original speedsters’ aura ran by.
Barry promptly scowled, and was back on the street before light had traveled around the entire globe, and followed the yellow and red aura, knowing that whatever awaited him would be trouble, especially where hes playing the games of the Reverse-Flash, also known as Eobard Thawne.
Flash caught up to the yellow paradox fairly quickly on his own and engaged him in hand to hand combat, flurries of over 3,000 punches per second flying at him to knock him off course. Reverse-Flash smiled and kept on running, with Flash exerting himself to catch up with him consistently.
Reverse-Flash: Come on Barry, hit me! Hit me with all your might. But I’m not gonna fight you.
Barry ignored Thawnes witty remarks and tackled him anyways, with the two stopping dead in their tracks in a Kansas airfield hundreds of miles away from Central City.
The Flash: Just what do you think you’re doing trying to enter MY town unannounced? What do you want this time, Thawne? You wanna push me to retirement? Get me arrested for something I didn’t do? Kill me without actually killing me? I’m tired of your games, Thawne.
Reverse-Flash gave a devilish grin when Barry mentioned the last outcome.
Reverse-Flash: Now that you mention it Barry, I do want you dead. Been meaning to solve this problem for a while, but leeching you of youth doesn’t work and stopping time to kill you doesn’t either. Thats why you put two and two together and let someone do the deed for you.
Barry scoffed at Eobard.
Barry: Alright then. Whos it gonna be this time? Grodd? Snart? Maybe you have a Kid Reverse-Flash again?
Thawnes grin turned into a glare as he rushed Flash at incalculable speeds, and kicked him in the stomach.
Behind him in the distance, a wormhole of some sorts was forming out of thin air.
Before he knew it, Barry was just kicked into the timestream. And when he looked up, Thawne was already hot on his heels.
But so was Barry.
Flash started running relentlessly through the void that is outside of time and space, and couldn’t turn around because Thawne wouldn’t let him.
Barry: Damn it, Thawne! I’m tired of these games with you!
Flash turned around and attempted to punch the Reverse-Flash in the nose. Unfortunately for him, Thawne easily caught the punch, and physically redirected Barry, thrusting him into an unknown part of the timestream.
Thawne: So long, Flash! Have fun figuring this one out.
Thawne, satisfied and content that Barry had fallen for his trap, returned to the 21st century like nothing had happened and breathed a sigh of relief.
Meanwhile, a dazed and confused Barry got up and brushed off his suit from the crash landing. He scanned his entire surroundings. None of this place seemed familiar.
From his point-of-view, it was a bright, colorful terrain. Filled with lime green grass, swaying palm trees, and giant loops left and right.
Despite his lack of knowledge of where he was, he had recounted Thawne being there in the shadows at every moment he was in another world, such as his pursuit in the Flashpoint Paradox. Barry was confident that Thawne was somewhere in this universe or world too. And he had to find him.
Barry took off and ran, ran like nothing was going to stop him. Left and right he checked every square inch in sight. Mostly nothing of course, since Thawne doesn’t hide in plain sight.
But Flashes speed was not in plain sight.
Meanwhile, somewhere in the sky presiding over the Greenhill Zone, Angel Island was experiencing some unknown quaking, and the Master Emerald was experiencing some spontaneous energy surges that made it go out of control.
Gliding to the holy shrine of Angel Island, was Knuckles the Echidna. Proud guardian of the Master Emerald. He could still feel the quaking and anger the Master Emerald was in, and he didn’t know why.
Knuckles: Whats the matter with you?
Knuckles couldn’t figure out the problem, and everytime he tried to touch it, it would deliver a shock right to Knuckles, knocking him back.
From above and beyond, a speedy sensation wrapped in blue quilts and red shoes were present, and levitated downward to ground level to talk to Knuckles. This, was Sonic the Hedgehog.
Knuckles: Sonic, you need to slow down lately. The Master Emerald can’t take this amount of speed just in this area alone!
Sonic: What are you talking about?
Knuckles: This thing is acting up! Something is pissing it off, but I don’t know what!
A helicopter was heard soaring through the sky. A helicopter with two, bright orange tails, a fluffy face, and an answer to this whole problem. Tails the Fox descended down upon his two allies.
Tails: Sonic, are you seeing this? Someone, or something I guess, just ran by and the supercomputer on my Tornado 2 picked it up. This is insane!
Tails showed Sonic a few pictures of the rate of speed and numbers that were shown when this thing came by on a clip-board. Sonics eyebrows began to rise.
Tails: Whoever he is, he is fast! And...with all due respect, Sonic...hes consistently faster then you. B-but for all we know, it could be in a rush or it stole some Power Rings.
Sonic: Whatever it is, I’m going to stop it. Nothing that fast is safe in these areas.
Sonic jumped off the island and curled up into a ball, sticking a three-point landing onto ground level. Then, Sonic began to run.
In order to find whatever is moving that fast, Sonic went through various loops, so Power Rings could assist him in giving him a speed boost. He used the loops to do backflips into the air so he could see ahead of him, wondering if he could spot anything.
In the middle of a backflip, Sonic saw something.
A red blur. Originally, he thought it was just Knuckles pulling its leg, but it wasn’t just red. It was yellow too. It was moving west of where Sonics current position was.
Sonic began to speed up even more, absorbing Power Rings gradually and catching up to speed.
Eventually, Sonic was able to exert enough speed to catch up with the rivaling blur.
Sonic: Hey buddy, slow down!
The Flash looked to his right, only to see a three foot blue hedgehog running alongside him. Confused and somewhat amused, Flash ignored it and kept running.
Sonic didn’t take kindly to this, and shoulder charged Flash in the stomach, knocking him off balance from running.
Both speedsters got up.
Flash: Hey! I don’t know what you are, but please don’t distract me. I’m on a mission to find someone that could threaten this world.
Sonic: Yeah right! I’ve seen plenty of humans play nice to avoid confrontation with me, you’re the first of the bunch to roam this planet without caring that I am here.
Flash: What...you, a rodent...is a savior to this little green prairie farm? Gimme a break.
Sonic: RODENT? Now thats where you really cross the line. I’m a hedgehog. Sonic the Hedgehog. And you aren’t welcome here..
Flash: Hey wait! Maybe YOU are what Thawne sent to kill me! Whatever you are, I’m not falling for it.
Sonic: Thawne? Who on Earth is Thawne?
Flash: Don’t play games with me, hedgehog. If you’re fast enough to catch up to me, theres something not right here.
Sonic: I’m fast enough because I was BORN with speed, HELLOOO? I’m Sonic the Hedgehog! Have you not heard of me?
Flash: A blue hedgehog that can run as fast as me. I wanna believe it. Sonic: Well look, idiot! I am as fast as you! If not, faster! So I suggest you either kindly walk away, or I’m going to be forced to fight you.
Flash: I don’t have time for this!
Flash ran away, with only his dust behind him to spare. Sonic, somewhat jaw-dropped by his fast take off, quickly followed behind him. The red and blue speedsters were now running side by side. However, Flash didn’t want any part of it. Flash changed his direction at every corner he could, and from a certain point of view, it looked as if two particles were finding their ways to the end of the molecules. Sonic eventually caught onto Flashes patterns, and was behind the Flash every time he tried to side step him. Zig zagging, running straight, side to side, Sonic was following Flashes every movement. Flash however still did not care, as he continued to try to search for Thawne, completely ignoring the Blue Blur. Sonic tried a new tactic, and instead ran ahead of Flash, attempting to slow him down by having Flash run into him. However, Flash was thinking far ahead of Sonic, and already maneuvered himself out of being in Sonics path. Sonic tried over and over again, but it wasn’t working. Eventually, Sonic tried a new tactic; to make Flash run into something else. Sonic stepped in front of Flash one more time, and Flash turned to the right, completely unaware of a large loop right in front of him. Flash unfortunately ran right into it head-first, and bounced off of it, tumbling onto the ground.
Sonic: I told you, “Flash”...you either leave...or you stay and fight.
Flash promptly got up, and wiped his mouth of injuries and looked at Sonic with a glare.
Flash: Last. Warning. Stay out of my way. I have someone to find.
Sonic and Flash had a glaring stand-off, fists clenched and teeth gritted.
Back on Emerald Island, Tails and Knuckles were watching the entire speedy interaction happen before their eyes.
Knuckles: You think Sonic can handle that dude? He does seem pretty fast...we should help him!
Tails: We aren’t fast enough to even touch that thing! But Sonic is! He’ll have this fight over within a second.
Knuckles: I can certainly hope...
Sonic and Flash began pacing back and forth, waiting for someone to strike first. Any strike would be perceived as lightspeed, so they both had to tread carefully.
Sonic: Try to run again, and there will be severe consequences.
Flash: So be it. You want to rumble? Gimme a second, this will be a quick breeze.
At speeds faster than light itself, the two speedsters, 10 meters apart from each other, clashed at each other, preparing for the fastest and most dangerous fight of their lives.
FIGHT!
(Cue- Masked DeDeDe Theme Remix )
0.01 seconds
The two speedsters began their bout by exchanging punches. Two, hardened lightspeed punches, straight to the face, dealing maximum, bloodlusted damage. Both their heads contorted to the other side as a result and fell backwards the other way. They looked back at each other with fire in their eyes, and engaged in lightspeed punches again. The two were in a deadlock, pushing against each other with punches that aligned to the other persons punches, delivering thousands of punches in just seconds. Eventually, they are a put in a grappling lock, as they push back against each other more. The Flash is confused as to why he is struggling to out-muscle a tiny blue hedgehog, and to Sonics notice, he gave an angry grin, used both of his arms to grab Flash by one arm, and swing him around in circles.
Flash was hurled hard enough to go through multiple Greenhill zone loops at once, locking his fists and legs into the ground to slow his tumbling fall. He looks up, and his eyes are on Sonic.
And in his eyes, Sonic entered Spin Dash, and began hurdling towards Flash using the Greenhill zone loops to his advantage, going in circles until he becomes airborne, and releases himself from Spin Dash form.
Before Sonic enters Spin Dash again, he winks at the Flash, and enters it and charges right at Flash from the air.
Flash grabbed Sonic mid-air, while he was still in Spin Dash form.
Flash: Gotcha now, you little rodent!
Quickly however and much to Barrys' surprise, he found it hard to control Sonic while he was curled up into a ball, and his hands were thrusting out as a result of Sonic trying to escape.
Sonic then diverted his attention back to Flash, only to Spin Dash across his arms and hit him right in the head. As it dazed Flash over and over again, he then spun around his entire body, jumping around it and damaging it, until Flash regained control, and seized Sonic mid-air.
Flash then delivered electricity to his hand, giving shock a painful shock, jumped up into the air, and threw Sonic into the ground below him.
The result was an explosion that made a giant crater, big enough to cover the length of the average skyscraper.
Flash looked down and saw Sonic, on the ground and defeated. He laughed at his humiliation, and jumped down into the crater.
Sonic brushed off the dirt on his lips, and intercepted the Flashes attack. Flash looks back to see Sonic forming what appears to be an infinity sign with various leg patterns he is using.
Sonic:Super Peel Out!
Archie Sonic began racing right at Flash, and was quick to dodge, however Sonic was quick to react. He flipped around the other way, picked up Flash by the torso, and threw him a short distance.
Barry quickly got up, but he didn't have time to react.
Sonic delivered a soaring uppercut to the chin, and began to physically beat down the Flash. He punched him in all places while levitating, until Flash caught both of his hands.
Barry looked at Sonic disappointed, and then proceeded to headbutt him.
Sonic fell backwards, but he quickly shrugged it off, and continued to attempt to overpower Flash more. Having more awareness, Flash blocked with his hands to withstand the beating, and then opened in his eyes. He had an idea.
As Sonic struggled to untangle Flashes arms so he could punch him in the face, suddenly Sonic felt something.
Sonic: Ow! What on Earth?
Flash: A little Flash Fact, Sonic: Rubbing your hands together makes them warm, correct? Friction causes the molecules on rubbing surfaces to move faster, so they have more energy, giving them enough temperature to generate heat. And heat from friction can be useful.
To prove this, Flash siphoned heat friction from his hands by rubbing them at super speed, and planted them into the ground, and began to reach the melting point of the dirt ground, making it boiling hot.
Sonic began to feel his feet burn and levitated himself off the ground, only to be met with the Flashes punch to the face. But it was a heated punch as a result of generating so much friction.
Sonic then realized he could counteract the heat with water, and secretly began to form a water ball while he was being punched.
Sonic then used the water ball against Flash, by hitting Flash with it from the chin. Flash fell back and started coughing from the oddly surprising use of water at his face.
Sonic gave then Flash a grin, as he formed another one within a millisecond, and tapped the ground, referencing how a batter gives a ready stance when about to bat a ball. But in this case, Sonic was both the pitcher and the batter. He threw water balls at Flash at an uncontrollable rate, speedily making more in his hand, and throwing them at Flash as his head throbbed back and fourth.
Sonic stopped to see if Barry had been knocked out, but instead he looked up with a disappointed grin on his face after what he had just seen.
Flash: So we're having a little water balloon fight for your amusement now? Quit wasting my time-
Sonic took Flashes words literally, and went who-knows-where, and grabbed a bucket of water balloons. Flash looked shocked and somewhat nervous.
Sonic: Batter up, Flash!
Sonic began charging up his hands, and threw rapid water balls at Flash. Flash dodged every single one of them with ease, and then even stopped one with his hand casually. He then went over to Sonic, picked up the bucket of water, and dropped it on him.
Sonic looked at his drenched self in disgust and anger.
Sonic: I...don't...LIKE WATER!
The blue hedgehog proceeded to jump into the air and curl up into a ball, ready to perform a Homing Attack on Flash. He hit Flash with it multiple times.
Flash then casually caught Sonic mid-air again, spun him around a few times, and threw him back in the side of a crater.
Flash: You didn't get to let me pitch, remember?
Sonic looked up at Flash dizzily and saw the same water balloon bucket with him, only he wasn't using water this time.
Sonic: Oh no...
Flash stuck his hand in each balloon and casually filled it with lightning from the Speed Force, and began shooting them at Sonic like a slingshot.
Sonic felt himself being staggered back as each balloon kept hitting him in the face repeatedly. Eventually, Sonic caught one, and threw it back at Flash.
Flash casually dodged it, and proceeded to throw more at Sonic, this time with both hands. Sonic maneuvered his way around each lightning balloon, and charged at Flash with a kick to the chest.
He kicked Flash hard enough to send him out of the crater in a ramp-style, and Flash came right back down, unsteady with his movements.
Sonic: Enough copying my cheap tricks, Flash!
Sonic dashed over to a large tree and casually picked it up with his bare hands, and swung it in circles as he moved toward Flash.
Flash confidently dashed into the spinning Blue Blurs' trap, thinking he could dodge the tree hitting him, only for him to be wrong and proceed to be hit by it, launching in backwards into other trees, and breaking all of them.
Sonic: Ssssssssssssssssssssssssstrike!
Flash got up and dashed towards Sonic so fast, he manages to kick the large tree out of his hand entirely, and even split it in half. Barry catches the two halves of the tree.
Flash: Now heres a taste of your own medicine, rodent.
Flash then proceeds to beat the hedgehog out of Sonic with the two tree halves, simultaneously breaking the tree down the more he hits Sonic with them.
Sonic: Ow, that actually hurt!
Flash: Really?
Sonic: Yeah, no.
Sonic then proceeds to run around the Flash in circles, but for a reason. Flash confused as what was happening could only see dust, as the hedgehog continuously circled around him until he stopped.
Sonic: Bye bye, Flash!
The ground underneath Flash completely collapsed on him, as he fell deep into a trench as a result of Sonic making a fissue against the Flash.
Sonic: Thats right! You stay down there. Sonic proudly walked away.
Suddenly, a gush of wind could be heard. Flash turned around, only to see Flash come out of the trench by propelling his legs with wind as if his legs were two vortexes.
Flash: Yeah, nice try. How about your turn?
Flash then proceeds to twirl his arms in circles, until they begin to form gusts of wind, that blow back Sonic into the side of a cliff face.
Flash: Since you decided to send me down there, how about I return the favor, huh?
Flash cranks up the movement of his arms until Sonic goes right through the cliff face, collapsing on Sonic entirely.
Sonic was quick to escape the rubble and fly out of it, and then he charged at Flash, getting more and more angry by the minutes.
Flash casually looked at Sonic and stuck his arms and continued to generate wind.
Flash: I wasn't done with you yet. Up, up, and away!
Sonic was sent nearly into the atmosphere of space, and as he descended, he began curling up into a ball to perform a Spin Dash on Flash again .
Flash:Oh no, not again...
By using the atmospheric reentry pressure and heat from the fall, Sonic used it to further enhance the speed and damage output of the Spin Dash.
Mid-way through, he uses Boost to reach higher short bursts to go even faster and become even more dangerous. Eventually, his entire body catches on fire as if it were a meteor about to hit the dinosaurs. As it reached Flash closer and closer, Sonic kept using Boost to go faster, and get stronger.
Instead of aiming for the ground, he barely misses it in order to instead move forward instead of down, this time hitting the Flash right in the chest. The impact on his chest was so great, that it knocked him off his feet, but was still controlled by Sonic spin dashing him, as he went through walls, trees, loops, and other bio hazards. Flash eventually tried bring out his hands out of the wind to grab Sonic again, and successfully did it, and planted his feet on the ground, attempting to push him back.
Flash: Get off me, damn it!
Flash threw Sonic at a tree, only for Sonic to have bounced off of the tree. Sonic then used his trajectory to bounce off the tree and land on another tree, and then hit Flash accordingly. Then he did it again, bouncing on a different tree and hitting Flash. It became so fast, that it was leaving afterimages that confused Flash in the process, so he reached out in an attempt to punch the air, only for have Sonic to have already bounced back onto a tree again.
Flash: Damn it, I don't have time for this!
Flash loosened his arms, and let out a giant electrical area of effect attack. It broke down all the near trees, destroyed the ground beneath him, and momentarily incapacitated Sonic while he was in Spin Dash form.
Flash walked over to the shocked Sonic on the ground and picked him up by the head.
Flash: You done yet?
Sonic: No...in fact, I'm just getting started!

(Cue- Sonic Adventure 2- Live and Learn )
Sonic kicked Flash in the throat and jumped out of his grip, dashing away.
He ran through an entire loop, and collected what appeared to be giant rings on the loop. Flash was completely confused.
Sonic: There we go, all nice and sustained! No more pain, no more gain, and no more-
Sonic was met with a punch from the Flash that knocked the Power Ring out of his hand. Flash promptly picked it up curiously.
Flash: Never seen one of these before-
Sonic kicked it out of Flashes hand before he could finish his sentence and then kicked Flash in the face with the other leg, knocking the ring out of Flashes hand in the process.
Flash tried to grab the ring again, but Sonic kicked it from his grasp. Flash was curious. He saw the ring give Sonic much more stamina despite him just being incapacitated.
The Flash: Whats so special about that ring there that you won't get me? Belong to your deformed girlfriend too?
Sonic: For the record, those rings are mine, and two, don't call my girlfriend deformed you...human.
Flash: I've seen enough. But since those rings must be important to you, maybe I should get some myself. Bye!
Flash ran off in the distance with the sole intent of getting those rings.
Sonic: Oh no you don't!
Thankfully, Sonic knew where rings would be and how to use them unlike Flash, however Flash didn't know that but will still be fast enough to check anyways. Sonic is going to have to follow Flash and stop him before he can get some rings.
Sonic quickly followed behind Flash and tried to tackle him and knock him off-balance. It was starting to work, as Barry was struggling to run.
Flash: Damn it, get off me! You're rupturing my connection you little-
Sonic: Connection? Connection to what?
Flash: None of your damn business! Now get off me!
Flash shifted direction and started running backwards, making Sonic run into a tree, as Flash banged him against the tree repeatedly.
He turned around and saw a loop with a multitude of rings, and swiftly grabbed all of them, examining their shininess and bright aura. Flashes hands lit up with lightning, as he had an even better idea.
Sonic: Listen to me, Flash. You leave my stuff alone, or face the consequences! Theres a reason people don't mess with me here, those rings are what fuel me, not you! So get your hands off them or else!
Flash: My apologies, Sonic. Here, catch!
The Scarlet Speedster hurled a lightning-infused ring at Sonic, going over his head and onto the ground. The electricity from it shocked him, and left him unable to move.
Then Flash decided to throw more onto Sonic, and threw four to five more rings onto him, each infused with electricity to shock Sonic. The shocks continued to hurt Sonic, and he was now stuck in his own rings.
Flash laughed at his humiliation yet again, and danced around him by punching him with more lightning-infused punches and kicks, putting the mass of a Moon into his kick.
Sonic grunted as he felt his stomach being hit with 60% of Earths density, and fell onto the ground. He looked up at Flash against and Flash raised his fist to punch him, sending him flying into the ground creating a cratering streak where he went.
Flash: Ok spiky, I've played your little game, now take your little toys and go run up a tree somewhere else. I have real threats I need to take care of. Bye!
Flash ran off into the distance in a speeding red blur.
Sonic: REAL threats you say? I'll show you a real threat.
Sonic got up, brushed the dust off himself and also ran off into the distance in a speed blue blur.

Barry did the only thing he could and ran. Didn't think much of Sonic. His only goal was to find the Reverse-Flash. Flash began running faster, getting ready to summon a large portal to travel back to his Earth, generating more Speed Force energy with every step. He saw the portal ahead and ran.
But Flash was stopped in his tracks.
A blur blur jumped in front of and tackled him at unfathomable speeds, spinning in a violent ball, hitting Flash right in the chest. Flash grabbed the ball, and chucked him into orbit as if he were a shotput player.
Flash directed his attention towards the portal and entered through it, stepping outside of the space time continuum, and began to run in an empty void of nothingness that is the timestream.
Sonic, still in orbit guided himself down back to the surface and dove into the ground, cratering it. He shook his head and saw the portal, and gave a stern face.
Sonic: You can't run from me Flash!
Sonic quickly entered the portal just as the moment it snapped closed. Sonic felt the cold feeling of being outside of reality brush against him, as he ran to catch up with the Flash.
Flash couldn't find it. The road ahead seemed too far and Flash could not figure out where he was going.
Flash: Damn it, Thawne what have you done this time?
Sonic: Whos Thawne?
Flash looked next to him and saw Sonic running right next to him.
Flash: How did you-
Sonic gave a cocky salute and began running faster then Flash, leaving dust behind in his trails.
Flash: He has no idea what hes messing with...
Flash ran even faster, his arms and legs moving at blurring speeds and his aura siphoning immense amounts of lightning and Speed Force energy, pushing himself to go even faster with every step he takes.
Flash found himself catching up to Sonic quickly, and without a moments notice.
Flash: Speedster too, huh? Well unfortunately for you, the Speed Force doesn't accept overgrown rats!
Sonic: I was born with speed, whats your excuse wise guy?
Flash: My "excuse" is that I'm trying to find my enemy, but its beyond your understanding considering you're a talking porcupine, step aside and let me fight my own battles.
Flash began running ahead of Sonic.
Sonic: Hey hey hey wait!
Sonic attempted to catch up to Flash, and was somewhat behind him.
Sonic: My excuse is that you hurt my friends and came into my home uninvited! So I'm gonna bring you in or take you out if its the last thing I do!
Flash: You're gonna have to catch me first then.
Flash winked at Sonic and ran ahead, disappearing from the timestream ahead. Sonic ran ahead angrily and went to catch up with him, following him and disappearing from the timestream.
Flash found himself sliding right into the midst of Central City. He breathed a sigh of relief. It was a cold, clear night and the streets were empty and quiet.
Flash: Now...where is that-
Suddenly, Flash felt a kick to his back, grunting as he felt himself falling forward from the kick, but in that sheer moment, he quickly picked up his legs with the help of the Speed Force and gained momentum, and ran off into the distance.
Sonic: This guy can't hold still, can he?
Sonic quickly ran off to follow him, locking him and Flash in a city-wide chase.
Flash looked to his side and saw Sonic and gave an annoyed face. He began running faster, with Sonic keeping pace with him. A birds eye helicopter view from the sky was surveillancing the city. The Central City Police Department was operating the helicopter, with reporter Iris West inside with them. Something caught her eye.
Iris: Down there! I see something!
The helicopter lowered itself down to slightly above the tallest buildings in Central City. From what they could see, there were two blurs racing rampantly across the city; one was red, one was blue. The red one was recognizable, but the blue one was in question. The blurs were on par with each other, running through the entire visible city next to each other. Flash struggled to change his directions to throw Sonic off, and Sonic was still following him with absolute precision. Their blurs zig-zagging across the city created a beautiful light show that illuminated the city, but at a cost. Their auras and nature of speed began making the streets damage. Car windows shattering, small structures like fire hydrants bursting, and buildings themselves began to appear with cracked and shattered windows. Flash looked around and saw the destruction they were causing, and with a level of concern on his face, ran off away from the city almost instantly. Sonic, confusingly followed. But in that single moment, Iris nor CCPD could process what just happened.
Helicopter pilot: I don't see anything...
Iris: It all just...they were there and now they're gone?

Flash ran off out to the outskirts of Kansas, finding himself in Monument Rocks National Natural Landmark. Sonic followed him and stopped.
Sonic: Quit running, Flash! You can't escape the blue blur, I was born for this.
Sonic took a running stance and ran at Flash, Flash scoffed and ran at Sonic equally, and punched each other in a blinding clash of lights, sending them both flying backwards. Sonic was the first to get up, and ran at Flash without warning, punching him rapidly and getting in his face, with Flash struggling to see where he is. Flash tries to punch, but Sonic dodges. He turns around and sees Sonic climbing around the monumental chalk pyramids. Sonic appeared in one spot, and Flash tried to reach him but Sonic went to another spot. They exchanged back and fourth, and Flash in turn wasn't even punching Sonic at all. Sonics Afterimages fooled Flash, and from behind, Flash kicked him into the side of the rocks.
Flash cratered on the wall of the rock. Sonic prepared to Spin Dash, charging at him again. Flash looked up and saw the speedy ball of energy hurdling towards him, and quickly used his intangibility to phase right through the side of the rock.
Sonic: Since when could he do that?
Sonic ran around to the other side of the rock and saw Flash standing out in the distance. Flash shot him a glare, and Sonic held up his fists in preparation.
Flash: So you're strong for such a little guy, but no aardvark like you can stand a bad hair day.
Flashes legs began to vibrate rapidly, taking the appearance of cyclones, as he propelled himself into the air and begun spinning around rapidly. The wind around him was growing stronger, faster, and more violently, and in his wake, Sonic felt his feet being pulled towards Flash towards what appeared to be a large, category F5 tornado. It pulled in the nearby chalk pyramids and other rock-like structures, as they hit Sonic in the back of the head, forcing Sonic towards the tornado even more. Sonic tried to jump onto the pieces of rock, using agility to traverse the rocks in the opposite direction of the tornado, but he was pulled in too quickly. Sonic found himself inside the heart of the tornado, with debris and rocks flying everywhere.
Sonic noticed Flash still in the middle of the tornado, continuously siphoning the wind of the tornado. Sonic took advantage of the spinning and surrounding debris to get to Flash. Curling up into a ball, he jumped from rock to rock, staggering the Flash and knocking him out of his position. The course of the tornado was unaffected and continued rampaging across the Kansas terrain. Sonic and Flash exchanged clashing punches, each bouncing from one end of the tornado into the middle, trying to gain leverage over the other. Flash changed the course of his punch above his head, spiking Sonic downwards at the bottom of the tornado. Sonic hit the ground hard enough to be able to hold onto it, and desperately climbed tot he outside of the tornado. He planted his feat and looked up at it, and began to run around it to counteract the original tornado in hopes to simmer it down.
The tornado went from crimson red wind to blue wind, as Sonics efforts had been proven victorious. In the result of it, Flash went flying upwards into the atmosphere from the conflicting wind patterns, as the tornado began to slowly die down into a minuscule whirlwind. Sonic looked up and saw Flash propelling himself into the air.

Sonic: Getting creative aren't we?
Sonic pulled out a ring, and threw it forward, jumping into it.
Flash looked down to see where Sonic went, and saw nothing. Then he looked back up and saw a golden ring open into a portal, and out of it came dear old Sonic, who met Flash with a soaring punch to the face, causing Flash to lose balance with his wind propelling, and began falling down. Sonic looked down and realized he was also going to fall.
Sonic:...I should've thought this one through.
Sonic began screaming as he started to fall, then quickly stopped as he saw Flash falling too. He air swam his way over to Flash to try to fight him, and Flash fought back. The two exchanged blows, circling around each other like a ball of fire as they continued falling faster, but kept punching each other at speeds faster then any human eye could see and before light itself could travel around the planet. Flash grabbed Sonic by the neck, picked him up and attempted to throw him down even harder, and succeeded.
Sonic braced for impact but quickly thought of an idea, grabbing one more ring and throwing it down, opening up a portal to unknown territory. Sonic let himself free fall into the portal, and Flash dive-bombed into the portal as well to follow him, as he had recognized the landing zone.
0.6 seconds
Sonic and Flash both crashed onto the unknown surface, tumbling down in close proximity to each other. Both of them got up; Sonic on the other hand was more confused.
Sonic: Where...where are we?
Flash: Earth's Moon. Your ring took you here, thankfully you can't hurt anyone here.
Sonic: ME? YOU'RE the one who made that fancy little tornado and took me to that town!
Flash: Well this wouldn't have happened if you hadn't butted in on my business, so I'm sorry but you need to stop right here, go home and quit. This has gone on for long enough.
Sonic: Oh no you don't you threatened my friends, and I won't stop til I make sure you're taught a lesson.
Sonic tried to tackle Flash violently, and Flash side-stepped his attack, and Sonic punched the ground in his place since he missed. The Moon surface started to crack.
Flash: Stop it! You'll destroy the entire Moon!
Sonic: I can destroy more then a Moon you know.
Flash: Oh I know the feeling, but don' you realize the consequences?
Sonic: What consequences?
Flash: If you destroy Earth's Moon, it would change the Earth's rotation and the size of the Earth's tide and the tide itself would change because the gravity the moon exerts on the oceans would no longer exist!
Sonic looked at Flash with a confusing look.
Flash: I'm saying PEOPLE CAN DIE!
Sonic ignored Flashes words and instead focused on him.
Sonic: Well I'm gonna beat you one way or another then fix this so-called Moon.
Sonic and Flash exchanged in combat yet again. Flash and Sonic ran around the surface of the Moon, exchanging even more blows and punches. They stopped and continued punching each other, each fist hitting the other rapidly and at blazing speeds. Nothing was working. Flash infused his punches with lightning, and began to hit Sonic a little bit harder, hitting Sonic into the ground and bouncing him up, allowing Flash go get up close and punch him even harder.
Sonic opened his eyes and siphoned a blue aura around him, curling up into a ball again.
Flash: Not this again...
But this time, the blue energy aura was even brighter then before. In a shortburst, Sonic channeled his Burst ability to hit Flash in the head like a static bowling ball. Blood was spilled. Flash went crashing into a Moon rock. He got up and wiped his chin, and felt his lip start to bleed. Sonic was getting serious.
Sonic: One of these will bring you down...
Sonic channeled his Burst ability a second time, this time peeling out from his position to bounce like an arch and hit Flash in the head again, Flash looked up and squinted.
Flash: Ah shit...
Sonic hit Flash hard enough to cause a small Moon crater. A loud crash occurred, and as the smoke cleared, Sonic continued to hit Flash jumping up and down on Flashes body like a trampoline, damaging Flash and his suit.
Flash put his arms up to block, and he bounced off lighter this time, giving Flash time to move his head from the next Burst attack. Flash got up with one of his knees and reached his arm out to shock Sonic with a ball of lightning, causing Sonic to twitch violently and break his ball form.
Flash fully stood up and grabbed Sonic by the leg, slamming him onto the ground violently and throwing him up and out, smack dab into a large Moon rock boulder.
Flash dashed over to another boulder on the other side of the crater, and began running around it. The sheer wind power propelled the boulder into the air, and Flash began to swirl his arms to send the wind direction the other way, shooting his arms out with extreme wind power that hurled the boulder.
CRASH!
The boulder fell right on top of Sonic, crushing him.
Flash ran up to the boulder. He saw no blood, assuming it didn't flow as much due to the smaller body mass.
Flash: I didn't want to have to do that. Don't mess with problems you can't fix...
Flash began to walk away, but then heard a large glowing radiation sound. He turned around and saw the boulder being lifted up, slowly but surely. Sonic wasn't the same. His entire body was yellow, his aura was raging, and his rage was high. Sonic hurled the boulder aside.
And Flash could see it clearly. Super Sonic was in the playing field.

(Cue- Borderlands 2 (UST) - Boom Bewm & Captain Flynt Boss )
Sonic began levitating above the ground, with a blazing yellow in both of his eyes, and he stared at Flash dead in the eyes with a stern glare. Seven colored emeralds began swirling around Sonic; the Chaos Emeralds.
Sonic: Say HELLO to Super Sonic! And GOODBYE to yourself!
Sonic charged at Flash at raging speeds, so fast that for the first time in this fight, Flash expressed visible fear in his eyes.
Suddenly, everything around him went completely went completely still. Time hadn't been stopped per say, but to Flash light was essentially frozen. Like statues.
Flash reached into the speedy mind of his, in hopes to understand what Sonics new power boost means or what it is, and what could be the potential cause of it. His speed was staggering, the fact that he was a talking animal, and the fact that he could shoot water all alarmed him enough, but he pushed the Speed Force into his mind deeper.
Flash looked into the future. An endless sea of space and time undoubtedly, but in that sea of space and time were realities. Realities in the tens, the thousands, the millions, the infinite. At lightspeed, Flash could see all of it. Flash saw what his power was and what he beheld in the wake of his potential destruction, nothing of the ordinary then what he faces. This isn't just your typical speedster. This was an embodiment of pure, unadulterated chaos.
And Flash had to stop him, or it could mean the end for some, if not all, and Flash would be on the receiving end.
Flashes mind resumed back to the fight, and he was far more alert, dodging Super Sonics punch in a near instant. Sonic was out for blood, as he continuously zipped towards Flash to try to knock him down, all Flash could do in that moment was zig-zag left and right.
Finally, Flash caught Sonics punch, and instead of punching back he met him with a strong headbutt to the face, staggering the mighty hedgehog and knocking him back.
Flash: Waste of power.
Sonic: Excuse me?
Flash: Wasting power like that on me just because of a miscommunication of friends sure seems silly to me-
Sonic punched Flash in the face, drawing more blood from him and continuing to punch him.
Sonic: Then explain why they said you attacked them! I don't care what your purpose is, thats a threat if I've ever seen one! Not everyone can stick up for themselves you know!
Flash finally fell onto the ground as a result of the constant punches to the face.
Flash got up angrily, and Sonic went back to trying to punch him systemically. Flash dodged every punch he could, even grabbing Sonic by the arm, throwing him onto the ground. Sonic tried to get up, but felt a foot on his back.
Flash: Don't even try to get up. You're done here.
Sonic: No...I'M NOT!
Sonic unleashed a burst of chaos energy around him that knocked Flash back entirely. Flash grazed his fingers against the ground and stood his ground as he was sliding back, and looked up and glared at Sonic.
Sonic glared back and put his arms out, channeling more chaos energy into his veins then ever, and shot it at Flash in the form of a concentrated energy beam. Flash saw the beam coming and fired back, shooting every ounce of lightning he could out of his body to counter the chaos beam of energy. The two were locked in a beam clash, rupturing the Moon surface around them. Their beams were on par, as they both pressed into each other and walked slowly and closer, pouring in more of their respective energy pools into their attacks as much as possible.
Flash: I'm...tired...of...this...already...its because of...you that I can't find...THAWNE!
BoOOoOoOOoOOooOOOoM!
The resulting energies of their clash created an explosion that could rupture ears, going so high it was visible from Earth to be seen.
As the dust cleared, Sonic and Flash were unconscious on opposite ends of yet another huge crater. Sonic was face-down, and got himself up first.
Sonic: Time to get rid of you for good this time.
Flash:...What?
One of Sonics levitating Chaos Emeralds was placed into his hand. The emerald itself shot out a bio luminous energy beam of reality warping chaos energy, and hit Flash with it.
Flash screamed in pain as he was being hit with the beam, struggling to move. He gritted his teeth together, clenched the ground with his hands and opened his eyes. As a last resort, he began to draw more energy from the Speed Force in hopes to resist the beam through sheer willpower. Flashes legs were wobbly but he began to stand up, and had enough focus to phase out of the beam entirely.
Sonic: WHAT?
Flash: Speed Force, Sonic. Its too strong for your space-bending shenanigans, almost like a soft squishy cushion for me to protect me from harms way.
Sonic: Well can it protect you from SIX MORE OF THEM?
Sonic levitated into the air and channeled the seven Chaos Emeralds around them, each of them delivering terrifying reality warping beams in an bidirectional fire. Flash dodged, and made his attempt to outrun the beams, circling around Super Sonic as the beams struggled to hit him. Flash made use of his hands with quick improvisation. Swirling them rapidly, he formed a cyclone-like hand that redirected one of the beams at Sonic, hitting him directly to the body. Sonic flipped backwards. He regained conscious, shook his head and looked at Flash. Flash grinned at him. Sonic angrily glared at him.
Flash began to form a lightning aura around him, shooting outward rapidly, but with a color scheme of white. Flashes entire body, including his skin began to turn white. Sonic looked confused, but an angry confused.
Sonic: ENOUGH! CHAOS...CONTROL!
Time came to an utter complete halt.
Sonic glided over to Flash, observing him promptly and didn't understand what was going on.
Sonic: I don't know what hes doing, but hes gonna regret it either way.
Sonic readied his fist, preparing to sucker punch the time-stopped Flash to death. Suddenly, he saw Flashes eyes look at Sonic directly. Flash winked at Sonic, and began to twitch, as if he was breaking out of 2,317 lbs of cubic ice, finally breaking free from his time. Flash was moving freely and actively, and finally gained enough charge to completely coat his body in white lightning.
Sonic: WHAT? CHAOS CONTROL KEEPS YOU FROZEN IN TIME! HOW ARE YOU MOVING, OR EVEN ALIVE FOR THAT MATTER?
0.8 seconds
(Cue- [2] Mechanized Trinity] )
Flash looked at Sonic with a devilish grin.
Flash: Speedsters like me can run fast enough to negate just that. I don't just counter your stopped time.
Flash began siphoning the white lightning around him to prepare a charging lightning attack.
Flash: I can move it FORWARD!
Flash shot Sonic point-blank with concentrated white lightning, shocking him with his very fingertips.
Sonic collapsed onto the ground, but quickly got up again thanks to his near infinite stamina and put his hand on his head.
Sonic: Why isn't anything working?
Flash: Try to keep up.
Pissing off Sonic immensely, he furiously began to punch Barry more and more, with Barry also punching him exchanging a flurry of punches. In roughly the septosecond they think and process, they generate over two million punches in just that time frame, bantering at lightspeed and shaking the Moon they are one.
Flash hit Sonic hard enough to stop the effects of Chaos Control, and both Sonic and Flash felt themselves get hit with two million punches that they hadn't processed the pain for yet due to the effects of Chaos Control, and the both fell onto the ground near unconscious.
Both of them got up and looked at each other. They didn't really know what to do next, and they both just looked at each other angrily.
Flash: Now you see? We both want to fight for good, and we both have powers that we use for the good of our friends and family. You've shown me that now. Now why don't we take you back to your little green planet, and I can get back to finding the Reverse-Flash...?
Sonic: Something an ally of Robotnik would say.
Flash: Who-
Sonic uppercutted Flash, drawing more blood from him, making him tumble back. Flash grabbed his chin and wiped the blood off of it.
Sonic: Thats the different Flash. You use your powers out of fear that it will hurt everything you touch, but I use mine for the threats that matter. The threats that make my friends scared. And thats exactly what YOU are.
Flash: This is getting ridiculous.
Flash frowned at Sonic and showed the white glow in his eyes, Sonic raised an eyebrow, not showing any sign of fear for what would come next, and put his fists up.
Flash ran right at Sonic, faster then Sonic could ever process. He picked up Sonic by his little neck, and began slamming him on the ground back and fourth. He put his palm on his back and simply slammed him down on the ground in front of him and picked him up, looking at him with a pissed off look. Moving time forward, he threw Sonic forward, running up and punching him before he could fully fall back from the next punch, until he eventually had Sonic pinned down to a rock. Sonic looked up and only saw punches. Nothing but red angry fists punching him to death at speeds he couldn't imagine, and it was all too shocking, as he wasn't expecting such an ordeal amount. Flash hit him hard enough to crater Sonic into the rock, and eventually stopped punching him. Sonic was dizzy and his head was spinning.
Flash looked Sonic right in the eye with angry intent.
Flash: NO MORE! NO MORE THREATENING ME! NO MORE COMING AT ME BECAUSE I HURT YOUR STUPID LITTLE FRIENDS! I HAVE A JOB! A MISSION! TO FIND MY ENEMY TO STOP HIM FROM HURTING THE ONES I LOVE!
Flash grabbed Sonic by the throat and held him in a choke-hold above in the air. He held out his hand and began to vibrate every molecule within it.
Sonic: Put me down! Wait, what is that?
The Flash looked to at Sonic right in his eyes.
Flash: Something that should've been in your head the moment this began.
Sonic: Not if I have anything to say about it!
Sonic countered Flashes phasing with phasing of his own, phasing right through Flashes grip on him, and falling out behind him, but phasing back into his normal form just as his arm was still inside of the Flashes upper body. In doing so, Flash felt a sharp wound spontaneously burst on his back, and blood spilled back around it.
Sonic: You're not the only one who can vibrate your body, Flash! Thats kinda my gig you know?
Flash began breathing heavily and felt the wound on his back rapidly heal, thanks to the Speed Force providing a rapid heal rate, patching it up almost instantly and drying it up with nob lood.
Sonic: Should've known he could heal fast too.
Flash punched Sonic, knocking him to the ground, but he didn't punch again. Instead, he punched and ran off, like a hit 'n run tactic. Sonic saw Flash take off and leaving the surface of the Moon, running in the empty void of space back towards Earth.
Sonic pulled out another ring.
Sonic: Meet you at the finish line.
0.9 seconds
(Cue- Fractal )
Flash landed on the surface of Earth, sliding in with the help of the air molecules to help slow his descant down onto Earth. But he wasn't home. Instead, he landed right in the middle of Antarctica, the harsh winter wonderland of the Earth. It was cold, but it didn't bother Flash.
Flash: Don't see why I ended up here. Eh, oh well. Thawne, you can't run forever.
Flash was nearing the edge of the large iceberg he was on, when suddenly in front of him a golden ring appeared quickly, and turned into a relatively big portal, and out of it came yet again, an angry Super Sonic who met Flash with a kick. This time Flash promptly dodged the kick, ducking under it and sliding with his knees across the ice.
Flash got up and turned around.
Flash: Quit following me why don't you?
Flash sighed and ran at Sonic, punching him with a steadily increasing intent to kill. He punched him, uppercutted him, shoved him into the ice, all until Sonic stopped trying to resist. Sonic lay on the ground near motionless and defeated, with battered bruises all over his body as the smoke cleared, with Sonics precious rings all over the place. Flash was growing tired of this. So he did the one thing to stop him from continuing to follow him. Flash began to circle around Sonic, running around him, but not to form a tornado; Sonic suddenly felt his energy being taken away, almost sapped even rapidly around him, feeling like hes grasping for air. Clenching the ring in his hand as he tried to extend it out, Sonic felt himself stuck. Almost like a marble statue. He couldn't move his arms, legs, couldn't gain momentum, couldn't blink, couldn't talk. Flash had sapped Sonic of all his speed, rendering him into a motionless statue waiting to blink for an entire century.
Flash: That oughta keep you planted on your feet somewhere.
Flash arrogantly looked at Sonic and stroked his chin.
Flash: Well, I can't just leave you here. The Flash museum will put you in a cozy spot.
Flash went to go pick up Sonic, but suddenly, Sonic felt an energy burst form around him. Flash stepped back in confusion. Sonic looked at Flash...and winked. What was in his hand wasn't just any ring; Sonic had the One Billionth Power Ring in his grasp, and Sonic could feel himself moving freely again.
Sonic put his hand on his hip and twirled the ring on his finger with a smug grin.
Sonic: Good to have one of these in the back of my pockets, always comes in handy.
Flash: But...your speed. It should be-
Sonic: One Billionth Power Ring! Powered by yours truly, the Ancient Walkers bless your souls guys, thanks for the help with this!
Flash angrily scoffed and ran at Sonic, still in a bloodlust attempt to try and incapacitate Sonic. But his punches were stopped. Not by Sonic, but by his sheer aura. The ring formed a shield that Flash felt himself punching continuously until he gave up.
Sonic lowered the force field, tricking Flash into punching where Sonic could grab Flash by the end and throw him backwards into the debris of the cold ice.
Flash: Looks like you're not the only thing that belongs in a museum.
Flash ran at Sonic and tried to grab the ring, engaging in a semi-tug-of-war with each other to try and get the ring. The energy around it began to feel unstable, but Sonic had the superior grip due to his greater connection with it, seizing the ring again.
Sonic: Wanna see what else it can do?
Flash ran at Sonic again, but felt himself get stopped again. Perhaps another force field? Sonic used the ring to channel the energy creating his mystical barrier into a reverse force field, which began closing in on Flash from all angles.
Sonic: Your turn to play with it! Oh wait...
Flash looked around and decided to simply phase his way out of the force field, creating a tiny energy explosion right next to him. Flash had no choices. He had to start getting creative, even if it meant less damage control. Flash rubbed his feet side to side in a pattern that dazed Sonic in confusion. Flash smiled and gave a cocky salute right back at him. Flash ran around Sonic, using the heat friction on the bottom of his boots to melt the trails he created in blazing speeds around the circle, causing the ice to go from cracking to taking a huge chunk out of it entirely. Flash took it a step further. He began to run around the entire iceberg they were on, finding himself running on the side of it, just where the ice meets the water is a small outskirt that holds it together. Using the heat friction on his boots he runs around the iceberg, melting the supporting areas and weak points of the ice.
As a result, the iceberg began to collapse. Loud rumbling sounds of ice structures falling on top of each other could be heard, and Flash watched on a nearby lesser ice platform, watching the iceberg collapse in on itself, sinking parts of it in the ocean in hopes to have taken down Sonic even farther then before, all to hold him back.
CRASH!
Suddenly out of the icy graveyard, a now blue again hedgehog with an atomic aura (literally) flew out of the giant iceberg. Out came none other then Ultra Sonic. Flash looked up at him.
Flash: Another transformation? Where in the hell does this guy come from.
Ultra Sonic looked down at Flash. He had killer intent in his eyes.
Sonic flew at Flash like a dive-bombing peregrine falcon, grabbing Flash by the chest and taking him into the air with him. He punched him in the face, launching him air-borne in front of him, and continued punching him and continuing to make him air-borne, all until they reached yet another chunk of iceberg on the continent. Flash formed a trail as he fell onto the ice, though he was relatively unaffected. Not the first time hes been in absolute zero, or so it felt like.
Sonic: Try to finesse this power, Flash...if you can.
Sonic raised his arms up and into the air, and out of the ground came two crystallized spikes of ice. He began making a trail of them, Flash ran backwards to try to avoid the attacks, as they kept getting closer. Sonic propelled the ice spikes out of the ground, pointed them at Flash and hurled them right at him. Flash in style dodged and phased through each and every one of the ice spikes, even reflecting some back at at Sonic with use of his cyclone-like arms. Sonic also dodged them, more casually however.
Flash had an idea. He began to raise his fists, channeling yet more lightning into his arms, filling his arms up with an almost lightning-schemed color pattern that extended to only his forearm.
Sonic: Whatever lightning show you're gonna put on won't work, Flash. I'm too strong for that.
Flash: Oh I know, but question...ever seen lightning bolts collide with each other?
Sonic: What?
Flash: FIST BUMP!
KRACKA-BOOM!
Flash pounded his fists together, the lightning on each arm met each other and in doing so, created a blinding aura of light in the area they were in. Sonic couldn't see anything, and Flash counted on that. Sonic felt a punch blur by, but he couldn't see it. Then another. Then another. And another. He felt punches from all directions but couldn't see where it was to counter it. Suddenly, the light aura stopped.
Sonic: Now where did you go?
Flash: Check again!
Flash was right behind him, and threw his arm out at Sonic to phase his arm right into him. Successfully, Flash phased his arm right through Sonics arm, right where the shoulder met the arm. Cutting off all circulation, he cleaved Sonics entire arm off with phasing. Then he went to the other arm and did the exact same thing. Sonic cried out in pain.
Flash: Not so tough when you can't throw hands to show it, can you Sonic? Now for the last time, go home or I'll make it far worse then just the arms.
Sonic started to laugh at Flash. Flash looked at him confused.
Sonic: You think that did anything?
The One Billionth Power Ring circled around him, shielding him with an aura that crawled through his veins, healing Sonics mutilated wounds, using the energy of the ring to grow his arms back just the way they were.
Sonic: But since you're so fond of killing me on a molecular level...lets say I return the favor...
Flash: Huh?
Sonic: ...on an ATOMICAL level!
Sonic turned around and threw an unsuspecting hand-held ice spike at Flash, hitting him in the chest and going straight through the heart. Flash stepped back and grabbed his chest, grunting in pain but enduring. He hesitated but pulled the spike out of his chest. He looked down and felt his wound surely heal.
Sonic: You're a pretty resilient guy I must say! So why don't we take the scenic route!
Flash: You're not taking me anywhe-
Sonic grabbed Flash by the arm.
Sonic: Yes...I am.
1.0 seconds
Sonic grabbed Flash by the arm and the environment around them began to turn white and disappear. Flashes eyes were forcibly closed, then when he opened his eyes, he stared into what might be his final fate. He felt himself wobble, as the green rock he was on was heading somewhere; somewhere that speaks an end for all. Flash looked ahead and only saw a terrible void; an empty sky with a swirling giant vortex sucking in everything that gravitates near it to who-knows-where. It was a horrible sight. Flash felt fear, fear of the unknown and fear of what is to come of this place he has been sent too. The rocks were moving closer and closer towards it, although it looked far. Flash felt himself needing to jump from rock to rock to run the opposite direction of the void, and he felt himself struggling more and more, needing to exert himself with his use of cyclones and wind to propel himself. His efforts were valid, but he was still struggling. The Speed Force connection felt slightly weak, and it was felt the moment he entered this wasteland dimension.
Suddenly, Sonic levitated down towards the Flash, still in his Ultra form.
Sonic: Welcome to your new home, and your last home for that matter. The Zone of Silence! Quite the quite place, you'll lose your ability to hear sounds and vibrations in a few hours, so I may as well speed up the process.
Flash: Don't...think for a second...that you're going to keep me here.
Sonic levitated down to Flash even more.
Sonic: Oh...I am. And even if it kills me too, I'm taking you out. This fight ends HERE! He began charging up his aura more.
Flash had no choice. He began siphoning as much Speed Force as he could, with every ounce of resilience in his body, he only had hours before the Speed Force connection would go out. By siphoning enough energy, he began to retain his white lightning form again, coating his body in a white-schemed lightning pattern.
Flash: If I can allow myself to let light be frozen to me...I could outlast this and...no no no hes too strong, he has to be stopped or hes going to come back for me again...I need a way.
Sonic: Don't try and speed time up now Flash, it'll only delay the inevitable. So either take it now or leave it.
Flash grabbed Sonic by the neck and attempted to throw him into the void, hurling Ultra Sonic with staggering force, but not enough. Sonic was able to fly his way out of the pull of the void, and get to where Flash was. Flash had no high ground, going into the air or usage of wind wouldn't be strong enough to resist the strong pull of the void.
Flash made use of his white lightning and shot it at Sonic in hopes to push him back into the void, but Sonic pushed right through the lightning Flash was shooting and pushed Flash over, making him hang over the rock as it kept going towards the void. Around the void was but a blank sky, but one with clouds. Flash needed leverage, so he ran fast enough to negate the gravity to let him fall, but in doing so slowly ruptured his Speed Force connection by a little more.
Flash in anticipation began to vibrate his feet onto the clouds, running around the entire void fast enough to avoid the pull.
Sonic watched Flashes efforts and laughed, until he realized it appeared Flash was getting closer to him. He and Flash locked eyes.
Flash jumped off one of the clouds to gain enough traction to perform what he was about to do, and he leapt into the air towards Sonic, raising his fist with every lightning-infused molecule in it ready to punch Sonic in the face. Last resort, no turning back.
Flash: You like science? Well how about a punch full of it.
Flashes fist was fully energized and ready to meet a scared hedgehogs face.
Flash: Infinite...Mass...PUNCH!!!
KRA-KOOOOOM!
Flash punched Sonic in the face with the equivalent mass of a white dwarf star, with enough force to level a solar system, gave out enough destruction to rupture the Zone of Silence completely. Flashes fist was still on Sonic in just a short enough timeframe to change the course of his punch downwards. Downwards into the void, that is.
Ultra Sonic dive-bombed straight into the void of nothingness, disappearing in an instant. Nothing of noticeable effects, it simply disappeared.
Or so Flash thought.
Flash was able to maneuver onto the rock course again, and continued to try to look for a way out. But popping in front of him was a golden ring. Flash was hoping this was the break he could get. But he was out of luck. The ring was the One Billionth Power Ring. And it instantly used its intimidating aura to recreate Sonic, restoring him from death itself.
Sonic grinned at Flash.
Sonic: Your efforts are amazing, but meaningless. Sorry Flash, but business is business. And my business is dealing with the people who hurt the ones I love, and thats all that matters to me. Enjoy your stay here. Because its going to be your last.
Barry felt himself collapse onto the rock, on his knees. He closed his eyes and didn't say anything.
Sonic began to infuse his body with chaos energy from the emeralds, ready to punch Flash into near oblivion.
Sonic: Here...I'll get it over with for you so you don't have to experience losing your hearing and abilities.
Sonic readied his punch, smiled, and punched.
Flash: No.
Everything went white again.
Sonic opened his eyes. He was floating still, but in unknown territory to his knowledge. Beautiful structures on broken debris of rocks were floating about, there was no floor surface or ceiling surface, no vortexes or gravitational pull. It was a free, empty clear space. Space that extends to possibly infinity. It was peaceful. It was quiet, and it was in the motion and movement.
Sonic: Flash...?
Sonic couldn't make heads or tails of where he was. He floated around, gaining no answers. Ahead just colors of red and blue and yellow in all shapes and directions forming some sort'ave dimensional tunnel. He reached out to go to it, but it was too far. It could be miles, light-years, eons away. All of it was the unknown to him.
Sonic: Where...am I?
Sonic heard an echo, a familiar voice along with that echo.
Flash: I'm glad you asked that, Sonic. You're in what I referenced to you earlier; the Speed Force. Not just THE Speed Force, my Speed Force.
Sonic looked around.
Sonic: Show yourself coward!
Sonic suddenly felt himself get hit by lightning. Lightning bolts. Lightning strikes. Not a cloud above him. Spontaneously almost. They kept getting louder. And faster. And more in numbers. Sonic tried to dodge, but struggled immensely.
Flash: Do you feel that Sonic? Do you feel it? The Speed Force pushing against you? You aren't welcome here.
Sonic: I said SHOW YOURSELF! I don't have time for riddles!
Flash: You're right, Sonic. I was holding back. But you know what no restraint means? It means your only way out is to go here. The only place that accepts you with 100% certainty. When you brush against it, theres no going back. Theres no such thing as mental blocks. Especially when someones getting in the way of potentially saving my family, its the only place that tells you that you can do it.
Sonic saw something in the distance. A silhouette of a human. Running towards him. At speeds faster then light. The King of the Speed Force was on the move.
Suddenly, he disappeared. Out of thin air. Like he was an optical illusion. Sonic felt worry and started to fly towards where Flash was.
Sonic: You can't hide forever! Get back here and fight like a man!
Sonic felt like he was flying forever, couldn't make sense of how he slipped out of sight. He squinted his eyes to look for him ahead but found and saw nothing.
He could feel a presence near him. A chill went through his spine as he felt someone near him, but ahead of him he saw nothing. He looked to the side and saw the silhouette. It was the Flash. Heading right towards him.
He didn't say anything. All Sonic felt was his blows, hitting him rapidly in bursts of speed from all directions that he couldn't fathom. Punch after punch, Sonic struggled to gain any traction, as the punches wore him down even more. Suddenly, they stopped.
Sonic: I don't fear your Speed Force gimmicks, Flash! You can't keep hitting and running from me!
Flash: Oh, but I can...you see, this is a dimension. Dimension that sits above space and time itself and other countless dimensional structures! A universe at my fingertips, packed with a pool of energy that I can summon down to my weakest fingernails. I CAN hit and run. I CAN shoot you with lightning to my hearts content. And here, I CAN FINISH YOU!
Flash out of the blue bull-rushed Sonic, hitting him with a shoulder bash and hitting Sonic onto a Speed Force structure. Flash channeled the wind in his arms with everything he had to guide the structures into each other, crushing Sonic repeatedly with absolute precision.
Sonic used the One Billionth Power Ring to attempt to shield himself...but it didn't work. Sonic felt the structures hit him harder and harder. He began to panic.
Sonic: Gahh...What? Why isn't this working? Come on, come on...
Flash raised his hands over a head and charged a large orb of lightning, sending it towards Sonics direction and hitting him and point-blank range. Sonic felt himself get more bruises on his body as he felt the immense pain of the Speed Force continuously. He clenched the ring to heal himself...but it didn't do anything. Sonic still felt his bruises.
Sonic: No no no no...WHAT IS HAPPENING?
Flash: I'll tell you whats happening, you're in MY world now! MY domain! Your little toys can't save you. This is where I take my place as the creator of the Speed Force, and where we come from...I AM THE KING OF SPEED!
Flash dashed up to Sonic and swirled around him, siphoning all of the speed around him out of his system. Sonic was a statue again. The One Billionth Power Ring was stuck in his hand. But nothing was working. His eyes nor his body moved. He was stuck. Couldn't speak or shout for help or panic. Flash stopped circling him.
Supercharged, he ran at Sonic. Behind him was every ounce of Speed Force he could siphon, the perfect storm behind him. Lightning radiating off of him, energy auras leaving trails, all supporting the Flashes speed and momentum. As he got closer to Sonic, he readied his fist and embraced for impact.
Flash: Don't blink.
The Speed Force had let Flashes fist do the talking for him. The Flash punched Ultra Sonic at lightspeed, clobbering Sonic into oblivion and turning him into next to nothingness, resulting in a giant explosion of Speed Force energy.
Flash felt himself stop, but slide out of the Speed Force subtly, sliding back into Central City. He breathed a sigh of relief. He was back in dear old Central City. The CCPD helicopter saw it too.
Pilot: Hey hes back! That was like in a second man!
The helicopter circled and landed near where Flash was. Iris West got out and walked up to Flash.
Iris: Hello Central City, today I am here with none other then the superstar of our town, the Flash, hey Flash we noticed in our helicopter up there that you were racing alongside some sort'ave blue unknown speedster character, what can you tell us about it?
Flash: Well Iris to be frank with you, I wasn't so sure either. It could've been a hedgehog for all I know but it went too fast for me to see it. I saw it for like...
Iris: A second?
Flash realized that his entire banter with Sonic had just ended in a single, whole second by watching the watch on the cameraman and recounting the time he left.
Flash: Yeah. A second. We'll stick with that.
Iris: There you have it folks, Flash facing off against speedsters of all colors and blurs, maybe soon we'll get a purple one too how does that sound?
Flash: I'm all for speedster color pattern diversity, but right now the yellow ones the biggest of my problems. I'll catch you all...in a Flash!
The Flash ran off into the distance to continue his search for the Reverse-Flash.
Conclusion[]
Boomstick: Aw man, I blinked!
Wiz: This is indefinitely one of the hardest conclusions we've reached, with this match going much deeper then most of the main points would have you believe.
Boomstick: With how many powers they both had, speed wasn't the only thing that made this fight the show! Theres a whole land-mine of reasons for this result! And they may be shocking so fair warning before your mind is blown into oblivion.
Wiz: Lets start with the obvious comparison amongst both of them; speed. On paper, both can reach over lightspeed without any hesitation or effort, but as fast as Sonic is, Flashes speed feats simply scale higher and better then any of Sonics feats. Let us give you some examples;
Boomstick: Sonics feat of forming and throwing a waterball in a tenth of a femtosecond is definitely something that could give Flashes attosecond reaction speed a run for its money, but the gap is still there, with attoseconds being over 18 zeroes, whereas milliseconds are over 12.
Wiz: Plus even then, Flashes feat far outweighs Sonics by a much greater margin, considering Flash and other Flashes have fought people who can react ranging from picoseconds, to microseconds, to nanoseconds. Flashes brain also simply processes at a much higher thinking capacity then Flash, because being able to calculate an infinite amount of possibilities is nothing to scoff over. In terms of overall thinking they were relatively on par, both being very smart and versatile with how they apply their powers in their respective combat.
Boomstick: But what about their running speed? Surely Sonic would've taken the cake there, right? Well, not exactly. Running the cosmic interstate is definitely something to bat an eye too, this was written in a time where Archie Comics took a more...comedic spin on how Sonic worked and often resulted in breaking the Fourth Wall and what not, and even then we didn't even know where they ended up, all we know is where they started.
Wiz: And by far thats his best showing unfortunately in comparison to all of other Flashes speed feats.
Boomstick: Yeah, Flash has proven more then enough times that he is the fastest character in comic book history...but what about people who are so powerful speed doesn't mean shit?
Wiz: Flash has outran the Black Racer, a New God aspect of death itself that allowed him to run fast enough to enter a state of time travel, and even prove more then enough times that Superman isn't a match for Flash in a race for speed.
Boomstick: And we already went over how Superman can reach to up to 3.15 sextillion times the speed of light by racing to stop missiles designed by the Monitors to blitz reality. And before you ask, yes Flash does scale above this.
Wiz: I mean for starters, if Superman was faster then Flash whwy would Flash even exist? Heck, DC even has a chart for you, the reader on DCs guide to speedsters.
Wiz: Although this chart is more applied to Rebirth and can be easily taken out of face value, its safe to assume Barry is faster then every member of the Justice League, right?
Boomstick: Right you are, Wiz! Flash scales above everyone, even the likes of Hal Jordan and the Martian Manhunter.
Wiz: For preference, Pre-Crisis Hal once sent out an SOS signal to his universe to see if there were any other Green Lanterns left in it. He used constructs of missiles and in a heartbeat later they return. Assuming the DC universe follows the 100 trillion light-year span it possesses, Hals constructs would've had to flown over 2.465355435982e45 kilometres of distance, giving Hal speed capability of about 8.6765 duoquadragintillion times the speed of light.
Boomstick: *Spits out beer*. What the fuck? DC calm the fuck down please! But BOooooomStiCCCckKKK how does Barry compare to Hal when they never interacted in Pre-Crisis?
Wiz: Well Boomsticks' mimic voice, theres a catch. You see for starters, Hal wasn't the only one not affected by the Multiversal erasure effects of Crisis on Infinite Earths, Barry himself didn't die at all, he became a lightning bolt that went back in time and gave his younger self his powers and spent his time in the Speed Force, which is far outside the normal Multiverse.
Boomstick: Plus, DC has confirmed through Action Comics that the universes of New 52 and Pre-Flashpoint are merged with Rebirth, meaning all versions can be comparable to one another with some minor but notable exceptions.
Wiz: And to tie into that, Hal Jordan in Rebirth once traveled from the edge of the universe to catch up to Lightray, the New God of speed itself, and in doing so his sheer speed alone nearly made him enter the Speed Force, something Flash can do on a normal basis.
Boomstick: So Flash had speed in the bag by a mile, but what about the rest? Wasn't Sonic stronger and more durable?
Wiz: To a degree, not really, especially when it came to scaling the foes that they have both fought and even then Flashes speed alone was destructive enough to match Super Sonics high tax attack potency, and Sonics feats himself are surrounded by a lot of context, such as the Hyper Knuckles clash. While on paper it might've seemed incredibly high end in terms of destruction, there was a catch. Zones in Archie Comics aren't always universe-sized might I add, and the zone in particular they happened to find under a tree, and when they came out...all was unaffected.
Boomstick: Sonics definitely shown that he can go toe to toe with some tough heavy hitters like Ixis Naugus, who created the Zone of Silence outside of space and time, and the likes of Enerjak and God Sigma.
Wiz: But Flash is no stranger to that level of power either. His experiences with the likes of Superman and even his hometown speedsters have proven this, and he himself is no slouch in this level of destruction. Flash himself has been told that running fast enough can plunge the space-time continuum into oblivion or total destruction.
Boomstick: And keep in mind, thats all just him running to burn them calories off! And the infinite mass punch is pretty powerful in its own right, being able to knock out white martians with a dwarf star crammed into your knuckles definitely makes you powerful. Plus Flash was also pretty durable when running consistently and even if Sonic had a nasty hit on him, Flashes insane regeneration would keep him covered.
Wiz: And even then, Flash has dealt with threats similar to Sonics types of powers numerous times, such as his showing against the Future Turtle, a menace who had the entire Still Force at his beck and call, and was able to even resist his power draining beams through sheer willpower.
Boomstick: Of course, we have to account both Flash and Sonics NUMEROUS crazy and scattered abilities and so-called super forms, so may as well talk about them too you know.
Wiz: Right, first I want to bring up the importance of their abilities. Sonics on paper seemed like the better fit, being able to warp reality, stop time briefly, or phase through objects. But Flash has counters to nearly every single one of Sonics powers. Water manipulation? Common knowledge Flash can use lightning. Reality warping? Flashes speed alone has proven that he can affect reality, as evidenced in Flash War when he ruptured the Microverse, the Fourth World of the New Gods, and the Green, a metaphysical realm that connects to all separate timelines of creation itself.
Boomstick: Plus, Flash himself has shown that he can resist and negate the effects of reality warping. When Darkseid spread his Anti-Life Equation across the universe, Barry casually put a little Speed Force lipstick on his kiss to break his wife from the effects of it, and yes the Anti-Life Equation is reality warping on a universal scale.
Wiz: Flashes ability to tap into a speedsters white lightning perfectly allowed him to counter out Chaos Control as well by moving time forward, and even then thats only limited to Super Sonic to perform Chaos Control.
Boomstick: Speaking of Super Sonic, how come he didn't have enough firepower to take Flash out for good? Surely hes a Multiversal threat, right? Well, yes but actually no.
Wiz: Super Sonic was able to use the energy of the Genesis Wave to rewrite the Multiverse, however he wasn't using it under his own power per say. He himself could not even stop the wave, and his only way of controlling it was rewriting the new contents of the Multiverse. If he was that powerful already, he wouldn't have wasted any time struggling with any of his opponents up to that point or after it.
Boomstick: B-But what about Ultra Sonic? Surely Flash couldn't that, right?
Wiz: As far as I'm concerned, the context doesn't change anything that suggests Ultra Sonic is somehow physically more boosted then Super Sonic, if anything it just adds the additional atomic and environmental manipulation, which can't work on organic beings, so it wouldn't be all that helpful in the long run.
Boomstick: But the real kick in the pants that some of you are trying to figure out is; how in the HELL did Flash get past the One Billionth Power Ring? I mean, that thing stops Sonic just from fucking dying because fate allows it too! Surely thats unkillable, right?
Wiz: This is wwhere the Speed Force and Zone of Silence come into play the most, might I add but the One Billionth Power Ring is a pretty double-sided argument. It was able to counter the one ability that could bypass Sonics durability; Speed Steal. So what goes wrong there? Well, it comes down to comparing their respective methods of removing opponents from the battlefield.
Boomstick: Simply put it, the Speed Force was a lot better equipped then the Zone of Silence. While the Zone of Silence definitely made it harder for Flash to escape, there wasn't anything or any rules in the Zone itself that stopped Flash from retreating to his own battlefield, which was much better suited to take out Sonic then ZoS was to take out Flash.
Wiz: What Boomstick is saying, is that the Speed Force scales higher. For preference, the Speed Force is a dimension that sits above the Bleed, with the Bleed containing all dimensions of existence, making the Speed Force an infinite/countless dimensional structure itself, something much outside of Sonics range in terms of universal, and multiversal scaling alike.
Boomstick: Sure, Sonics manipulation of fate could definitely stop dying or losing speed, but it can't stop battlefield removal of higher dimensional scaling, and when Flash has access to that much of a power source, thats something Sonic can't come back from, because not only is Flash way too fucking fast for Sonic, but its because of removing Sonic from the battlefield that it can bypass the ring because its not killing in an instance, and the Speed Force easily scales above Sonics manipulation over fate.
Wiz: And finally, I know the obvious question is; but how come Flash is getting clowned on by goons ith fire and ice guns and CATWOMAN of all people? Well theres a simple answer unfortunately; Flash holds back. A lot. And it definitely shows, considering it didn't take him long to snap his arch rivals neck, didn't take him long to clown Captain Cold when he got serious, and didn't take him long at all to clown the Daxamites who are supposed Superman-level threats. And thats the thing about Death Battle; we don't look at a morally restraint cases. We want to show you what characters can be like with morals off, and how powerful they can go. And Flash is a weird case since most of his character arc revolves directly around that. And that’s why he holds back; morals off, and look at him. He could end most fights before we could blink halfway if he wanted too.
Boomstick: So at the end of the finish line, Sonic and Flash were pretty close in terms of raw power, but it was Flashes superior speed that would basically let him predict every one of Sonics attacks with his speed mind, his set of powers that counteracted Sonics in almost every way, hes much faster, has better ways of ending the fight, and a more versatile and ability-resistant power set. I guess Sonic was too sl- nooo, not that one...Looks like this fight was over...in a Flas- goddamnit not that one either! Internet! I demand you make me more speed puns!
Wiz: *sigh* The winner is the Flash.
