Wiz: Many popular series have inspired dark and twisted campfire stories for the internet to enjoy, but what happens when one encounters their dark reflection?
Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win... a Death Battle.
Sonic the Hedgehog[]
Insert Music - His World (E3 Ver Extended)
Wiz: Off on the world of Mobius, a parallel Earth where humans and anthropomorphic animals live together in peace, there exists all manner of weird and wondrous. A floating island hidden deep within the clouds, an underground labyrinth filled with dangerous traps, and the seven miracle gems said to turn thoughts into power. But one day, this strange but peaceful world was sent into turmoil by one Doctor Ivo “Eggman” Robotnik.
Boomstick: He planned to turn the worlds non-anthropomorphic animals known as Flickies into robots and make them uncover the Seven Chaos Emeralds and use them to take over the world, even build a theme park in his image dubbed “Eggmanland. Until of course, a certain pesky blue rodent came to save the day.
Wiz: Sonic The Hedgehog.
Boomstick: Hailing from a place known as “Christmas Island”, Sonic left home at an early age in search of a life of freedom and adventure, so naturally he wasn’t all too thrilled about Eggman over here enslaving everyone. Luckily, he had just the skill needed to put a stop to the Doctor’s devilish scheme: his speed!
Wiz: While real life Hedgehog’s can hardly be called “fast”, and aren’t blue for that matter, Sonic was born with the gift of incredible speed. He can casually run fast enough to shatter the sound barrier in seconds, even being able to briefly outrun a micro-singularity.
Boomstick: And he uses his speed in combination with several methods of attacking, like curling into a ball for the spin attack, striking enemies with the physics defying homing attack, going zero to 100 with the Super Peel Out, and ripping through opponents with his iconic Spin-Dash.
Wiz: Sonic can also use the Double Spin-Attack, oddly localized as the “Insta-Shield” to get an extra hit in on foes, slam into foes with his stomp attack, creator tornados through his sheer speed, or turn his mach speed into overdrive with the Sonic Boost.
Boomstick: Seriously, he’s a three foot tall wrecking ball of destruction and heroism. Plus, you’d think he’d vomit running at those speeds after downing a chili dog, but nope, he’s just fine!
Wiz: Sonic’s also used a handful of power ups, like his elemental shields to protect against fire, lighting, and drowning. His Bounce Bracelet can be used to gain height and rip through foes below him, while the Flame Ring grants him a fiery aura around his spin-dash, and he can even move and attack at light speed with the Light Speed Attack or Light Speed Dash.
Boomstick: Hey, Wiz, got a question for you. Where do Sonic’s Rings go when he collects them? A vault?
Wiz: While Sonic’s Rings are occasionally used as a currency, and do have a physical form for Sonic to collect, they appear to actually be composed of Chaos Energy, the same energy harnessed from the Chaos Emeralds. This is why Rings can be used as batteries for machines, or in Sonic’s case rejuvenate his stamina and heal him when he’s injured.
Boomstick: Speaking of the Chaos Emeralds, Sonic's used those pretty regularly too. With a single Chaos Emerald, Sonic can heal himself and others, throw out the Sonic Wind attack, or use the versatile Chaos Control.
Wiz: Chaos Control is a powerful technique, first shown off by Shadow, but Sonic quickly picked up on how to perform it. With Chaos Control, Sonic can teleport practically anywhere, even other dimensions, and stop time. A single Chaos Emerald is powerful enough to move pieces of Mobius around, with two he can travel through time, and with all Seven combined, Sonic transforms into Super Sonic.
Boomstick: As Super Sonic, he's basically got the powers of a god. He can fly, becomes nearly invulnerable, and gains nigh infinite strength, the ability to shoot energy beams, create shields, and he can move and fight while moving at speeds reaching 250 MILLION times faster than light.
Wiz: You don’t know the half of it. Do date, the fastest we’ve ever seen Super Sonic movie is when he and Burning Blaze flew into the The Exception at 3 Quadrillion time the Speed of Light. Not only is Super Sonic impossibly fast, he’s strong enough to defeat beings who can control the fabric of reality and distort time itself like Solaris and the Time Eater, who could have destroyed the Universe with their power.
Wiz: Super Sonic also possesses the powerful Arrow of Light technique, as well as a “Positive Energy Aura”, due to being powered by the Positive Energy of the Chaos Emeralds, allowing him to purify corrupted beings and neutralize others overcome by dark energy.
Boomstick: Holy fuck, when did Sonic get so strong?
Wiz: Even in base form, Sonic has survived falling from orbit, performed Chaos Control on his first try with a fake Emerald, consistently matched Shadow’s planet busting power, and he’s taken blows from and defeated Infinite, who was capable of creating stars at his full power. Chaos Emeralds themselves can even be used to induce a Chaos Control that can alter the physical state of the world, almost like minute reality warping.
Boomstick: Oh, so that’s why Sonic Advance 3 was weird like that. Well unfortunately for Sonic, he’s kind of a cocky bastard, and sometimes he doesn’t take a fight seriously when he really should. And like most things that are unbelievably awesome, Sonic needs a consistent supply of Ring Energy to maintain his Super form, and when he runs out he reverts back to normal. And he still can’t freaking swim, like come on man!
Wiz: Sonic may not be perfect, but time and time again he’s put his life on the line to save the world, and help others become better people in the process. So watch out, because wherever a blue streak of wind may be, Sonic the Hedgehog is never far behind.
Sonic: “I am who I am, an adventure loving Hedgehog. I’m Sonic the Hedgehog.”

Insert Music - Throw It All Away (Instrumental)
Wiz: The year is 2011, and the spooky campfire stories of the internet known as “Creepypasta” have become a well established medium for telling copyright infringing horror stories.
Boomstick: But this one ain’t no Ben DROWNED or Jeff the Killer. It’s not just a haunted game meant to spook you, it’s a tale about a twisted excuse for a god who views humanity as the ultimate plaything; Sonic.EXE.
Wiz: A note, there have currently been three “Official” incarnations of this demonic variant of Sonic as of this episode. While we will be looking at the original 2011 and initial 2017 reboot by JC the Hyena, since those versions of Sonic.EXE are fairly similar and use roughly the same origin, powerset, and lore, we will not be looking into the 2021 reboot, as that version of the character does not have enough information available and is overall too wildly different to be used.
Boomstick: Not that this isn’t weird in its own right. It all started when some poor kid named Tom got a letter from his best friend Kyle, urging him to destroy a haunted cd disk. Instead, Tom stupidly played the haunted disk, which just so happened to be a portal to another dimension! Man, creepypasta’s are weird.
Wiz: Specifically, this is the home of the demented entity known as X, a being composed of dark matter who rules over an empty dimension he can warp and control to his will. And, no, his name is not actually “Sonic.EXE”, even though that’s what the Creepypasta is titled. His name is X.
Boomstick: Oddly enough, X didn’t even take form as the creator of his world either. He was apparently brought into existence by some grand cosmic fluke after his dimension had already been existing just fine without him before he molded it into his domain.
Wiz: And after he developed an egoistic god complex, a fascination with Sonic the Hedgehog, and stole Kefka’s laugh, X began a quest to collect the souls of all humanity to use as his playthings.
Boomstick: He’s certainly not slacking in the abilities needed to do so too. Like any good horror villain, X has glowing red eyes, claws and fangs sharp enough to tear a human to shreds, and the ability to fucking teleport wherever he wishes.
Wiz: X’s ability to warp the reality of his home dimension also extends to his physical being, since it’s composed of the same dark matter as he is. With it, he can shapeshift his body into various forms, such as a perfect copy of Sonic or a more bestial form with an bloody “X” embedded on his chest, grow extra arms, perfectly copy all of Sonic’s base form abilities, and manipulate dark matter for more typical energy beam attacks. Granted, he tends to use these abilities more for psychological manipulation than straight up combat.
Boomstick: Yeah, he tends to get a kick out of fucking with people. Turning the world around them into a burning hellscape, teleport spamming when they try to fight him, forming barbed wires right out of the ground to choke a bitch, things like that. He’s way more into breaking your spirit by mentally torturing you then breaking your bones.
Wiz: But X was not satisfied with merely luring victims to his claws one by one. A cult in a real world known as the Cult of X began to worship him as a god, feeding his already insatiable ego. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the Cult of X has even helped X in his Soul harvesting, which is good for him because his physical form when he enters our world is far weaker then in his dimension.
Boomstick: Yeah, like tracking down sacrificing the Detectives Sarah and Derek Green, or an entire god-damn college! That's a lot of people, Wiz!
Wiz: The average college campus has about 6,354 students and 1,321. Given how quickly the events of the college slaughter are described, it’s likely X managed to kill almost 7675 people in less than a minute.
Boomstick: And he did it while one by one ripping their souls out! He was definitely moving at the speed of sound there. “Not as fast as Sonic” my ass Tom! Shows what you know!
Wiz: Granted, it's shown that X cannot always enter the physical world in his true form. On the occasion when he can’t, he typically takes the form of a black-eyed Sonic plush that sprouts long, Slenderman-like arms from itself.
Boomstick: Okay, Wiz, I know this bastard ain’t all that scary, but the mental image of a pitch black eyed Sonic doll with Slenderman arms ripping people's jaws apart and ripping their souls out ain’t a pretty thought.
Wiz: It is also worth mentioning that while X is excellent at slaughtering humans, he really only EVER fights normal humans. He’s never directly fought another super powered being once in either the original 2011 or 2017 story, and no the dozens of Fangams or Flash animations with versions of the Sonic.EXE objectively incompatible with the original Creepypasta don’t count as “combat experience”...Friday Night Funkin doesn’t account either.
Boomstick: Still, he’s capable to one-shotting humans souls transformed into Shadow and Knuckles, and when he can casually control his own personal reality to fuck with anyone he wishes, I don’t think he cares much about combat experience. He can even bend the souls he's collected to his will and force them to act as his slaves.
Wiz: With a cult worshiping him like a god, his own personal ambitions of human enslavement, X has but one goal left. To find a way to merge his dark realm with our human world and take over the Earth to become his eternal playhouse. All should watch out, for the reign of X may be neigh.
Boomstick: And if he sets his sights on you, don’t bother running. You’re probably too slow.
Sonic.EXE: “I AM GOD!”
Pre-Fight[]
Wiz: Alright the combatants are set and we've run the data through all possibilities.
Boomstick: IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTLE!
DEATH BATTLE![]
Burning Town - Mobius
Smoke and ash flows through the night sky as flames flicker and burn, a town reduced to a lifeless ruin. A single living being remains in the town, a blue Hedgehog walking through the ruins with a green gemstone in his hand.
As the Hedgehog finally comes to a stop, he turns around as his emerald green eyes drift upwards, looking at a perfect copy of himself standing above him on the roof of a burning house.
Insert Music: Event - Sonic vs Shadow
X: You never cease to surprise me, impostor. I thought you wouldn't find me here.
Sonic: What can I say, I die hard. But I've finally found you, Faker.
X: Faker? I think you're the Fake Hedgehog around here. You're comparing yourself to me? Ha! You're not even good enough to be my fake!
Sonic: You…I'll make you eat those words!
The demonic replica of Sonic leaps down, his back and red eyes staring intently at the miracle gem in his rival's hand.
X: You’ve brought me the Chaos Emerald. Soon, I shall use its power to bridge the gap between dimensions, and Earth will be mine.
Sonic tightens his grip on the Chaos Emerald as he readies himself in a battle stance, eyes locked on his doppelganger.
Sonic: You won't get away this time. There's only one real Sonic.
X: Oh, but there's always time for games. Let's play!
The two Hedgehog’s take off, crossing each other's paths before they both start running through the burning ruins of the town side by side, and they lock eyes again.
Sonic: Before this is over, I'll show you the true power of Chaos!
Sonic leaps into the air and dives down, attempting to kick X in the back of the head, but X instead dodges the attack and leaps forwards, both Hedgehog’s throwing a series of kicks out that counter each other. As they both leap backwards, both begin charging up a spin-dash before flying forwards and colliding with each other, the result launching both of them backwards. Sonic flips around and uses his Bounce Bracelet to bounce off the side of a wall, throwing a punch that X avoids by teleporting upwards, giving X a chance to grotestly extend his arm outwards and pin Sonic to the ground.
X: You’re not very good at this game, are you?
Sonic struggles against X’s hold as the demon’s other arm spikes out with obvious claws, before he smirks and begins to glow.
Sonic: Chaos Control!
In a flash of light, Sonic suddenly appeared behind X and threw out a roundhouse kick to the back of X’s head, sending him flying through a building. Landing on the ground, Sonic started charging up and drawing energy into himself before standing back on his feet surrounded by the blue aura of the Light Speed Attack.
Sonic: Blast away!
Taking off in a blue rush of speed, Sonic slams into X and starts smashing him repeatedly, tossing X around through the blazing ruins before grinding him along the ground below them. X, letting out a growl, manages to overpower Sonic and throw him off with a kick before he starts floating in the air.
X: *Kefka’s Laugh* You’re so much fun to play with!
Leaping at Sonic, X suddenly teleported behind him just as the Blue Blur prepared a counterattack and slashed Sonic in the back with his claw before kicking him to the ground. Grinning, X then flew upwards before flying back down, tucking into a spin-dash to begin slamming into Sonic repeatedly.
As X shapeshifted his hand into razor-sharp claws to gut Sonic with, Sonic suddenly leaped upwards and straight at X, throwing a kick to deflect X’s clawed hand before flipping around and axe-kicking him back into the ground. X hit the ground with a thud, but then teleported away when Sonic landed back down, Sonic running off after him to find X standing inside a burning and mostly torn down house next to a glowing computer.
X: *Kefka’s laugh* Catch me if you can!
And just like that, X leaped into the glowing computer and abandoned the real world to return to his dimension. Sonic, not one to let an opponent get away, took the Green Chaos Emerald out again and leaped at the glowing computer.
Sonic: Chaos Control!
And in a flash of light, used Chaos Control to trail X back to his dimension. What Sonic finds, however, surprises him. A world devoid of life, a twisted recreation of the Green Hill Zone with the sky gray color, oceans of blood in place of water, and what appeared to be dozens of human souls transfigured into lifeless families of his friends. And X, standing above them all, a toothy grin on his face.
X: So many souls to play with, so little time. Wouldn’t you agree?
Sonic: You monster!
Sonic leaped up to attack X, but he suddenly yelped as his legs were caught by barbed wires, pulling him back to the ground with a thund. Pushing through the pain to stand up, Sonic grunted against as more wires ensnared his arms, and even neck, restraining him. X teleported in front of him, grabbing him by the cheeks.
X: Unfortunately for you, I don’t particularly care to add a fake Sonic’s soul to my collection. So, enjoy your torment, faker.
Teleporting away again, X laughed as the dozens of broken souls surrounded Sonic and began beating on, scratching, and clawing away at him. Sonic grunted as tried to fight back, but was overwhelmed by the hordes and seemingly buried beneath them despite his cries.
X: Ha ha ha ha! Soon, I shall rule all!
Insert Music - Open Your Heart
As X continued to laugh to himself, his eyes suddenly widened as he felt a surging pulse of energy. He turned around, only to be taken aback by a golden explosion of Chaos Energy, the bright aura purifying the corrupt souls and releasing them from their prison as Super Sonic rose to the air, surrounded by the Seven Chaos Emeralds.
Super Sonic: Now I'll show you!
Super Sonic suddenly takes off in a bolt of light, slamming into X before knocking him into the air, then boosting forwards and slamming into him repeatedly from all angles.
(Thunder, rain and lightning. Danger, water rising.)
Looping around X and charging at him again, Super Sonic spin kicks X to the ground and launches him into a crater, only to appear before X and kick him back into the air before teleporting in front of him and delivering a flying kick to the gut.
(Clamor, sirens wailing. It's such a bad sign.)
X flips through the air before stopping himself, flying forwards as a dark aura surrounds him and he punches Super Sonic, only for it to have little effect and he promptly gets punched back in response.
(Shadows, dark creatures. Steel clouds floating in the air.)
Super Sonic blitzes around X, who growls and starts shooting stray blasts of dark matter that each miss the golden hedgehog, before Super Sonic then suddenly appears behind X.
Super Sonic: Too slow.
X: What-!?
(People run for shelter. What's gonna happen to us?)
As X teleports back, he starts rapidly teleporting around Sonic and repeatedly laughs to try and psyche him out before going in to attack him from the back-
(All the steps we take, all the moves we make, all the pain at stake. I see the chaos for everyone. Who are we? What can we do?)
-Only for Sonic to spin around and punch X in the face, launching him back before barraging him with a series of lightspeed punches following by kicking him ahead, then charging a spin-dash up before he let loose, flying forwards and kicking X in the back to send him upwards before finally flying above him and smashing him back into the ground.
(You and I are the same in the way that we have our own styles that we won't change. Yours is filled with evil and mine is not, There is no way I can lose!)
Super Sonic: I’ve had enough! Who do you think you are anyways!?
As Super Sonic charges forwards at X, the devilish hedgehog roars out as his body shifts, his gloves and shoes exploding off to reveal more monstrous clawed appendages.
X: I AM GOD!
(Can't hold on much longer But I will never let go!)
Super Sonic and X charge into each other at lightspeed, clashing repeatedly as shockwaves ring out around them.
(I know it's a one way track Tell me now how long this'll last!)
As the two trade blows at lightspeed, Super Sonic blocks one of X’s attacks and unleashes a flurry of blows at his chest, but X manages to retaliate and slash Sonic away.
(I'm not gonna think this way, Nor will I count on others!)
X presses his advantage and slashes at Super Sonic a few times before drawing dark energy in, laughing as he unleashes a darker and bloodier version of the Light Speed Attack onto Super Sonic.
(Close my eyes and feel it burn Now I see what I gotta do!)
As Super Sonic gets flung back, X goes flying after him, only for Sonic to dodge out of the way and fly around him.
X: Grrrrrr! Stay still!
Super Sonic: What’s wrong, not having fun!?
(Open your heart...and you will see!)
Super Sonic appears in front of X and spikes him down with a kick before charging after him, and they both clash repeatedly yet again as they soar through the sky, causing explosions of blood to splash up from the sea below with each collision.
That is, until X catches Super Sonic’s hand and laughs before unleashing an explosive blast of dark matter in his face to throw Super Sonic crashing into the ground below.
X: YOU WILL FALL INTO OBLIVION!
(Alright!!)
Super Sonic: Heh, I never fear the fall.
(If it won't stop, there will be no future for us Its heart's tied down by all the hate, gotta set him free!)
X roars as he raises his hands, creating a massive energy blast that it then throws out at Sonic, who’s golden aura flares to life as he sticks his hands out and catches the blast of dark matter.
(I know it's a one way track Tell me now how long this'll last!)
Sonic grunts as pushes back against the blast of dark matter, the ground beneath his feet beginning to give way as X laughs and shoots more dark matter at the attack to make it bigger.
(Close my eyes and feel it burn Now I see what I gotta do!)
X: NOW YOU WILL- …what!?
Super Sonic: HIYAAAAAAA!!!
(Gotta open your heart dude!)
In a golden explosion of chaos energy, Super Sonic rockets into the sky as an Arrow of Light, destroying X’s dark matter attack as he charges at the demented deity.
(Can't hold on much longer But I will never let go!)
Super Sonic: CHAOS CONTROL!
Drawing his hand back, Super Sonic throws a punch as he casts Chaos Control punching X hard enough to revert him to his original form, and the world around the begins to shift.
(I know it's a one way track Tell me now how long this'll last!)
And take the form of the real Green Hill Zone. The world was no longer corrupt darkness, but light. Purified from X’s control.
X: Wha…
(I'm not gonna think this way, Nor will I count on others!)
Super Sonic: HAAAAAAAA!!!
But Sonic didn’t give X the chance to react, instead he unleashed an explosive blast of Chaos Energy that X had no time to dodge.
(Close my eyes and feel it burn! Now I see what I gotta do!)
X yelled out as the Chaos Energy ripped his body to shreds, its positive aura destroying the very foundation of his being.
X: YOU…YOU BASTAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRR-
(Open your heart, it's gonna be alright! Yeah!)
But in an instant, before he had the chance to finish, his existence ended, erased from the very world of which he controlled, and only Super Sonic remained.
(Open your heart! Yeah!)
Sonic floated down, landing on the ground calmly as he looked at the purified world around him, the dozen’s of souls X had enslaved now free to float away to the afterlife. And Sonic left his now deceased doppleganger with one final truth.
(Open your heart!)
Sonic: You were never good enough to be my fake.

Boomstick: Woah! Talk about Super Sonic Style!
Insert Music - His World (Sonic 06)
Wiz: This was an interesting fight to look at. As far as Creepypasta characters go, X seems like he would be impossible to defeat when he has the home field advantage. He could physically match base form Sonic perfectly, and his reality warping gave him a potentially huge versatility advantage.
Boomstick: But X lacked one major thing, experience. He’s never really fought anyone, just slaughtered people after mentally tormenting people, meaning despite the fact he had all of Sonic’s abilities, he wouldn’t be able to use them to their fullest extent.
Wiz: Given Sonic has resisted mental attacks before and his spirit held up from six months of torture, X likely wouldn’t be able to mentally break Sonic, at least not fast enough to be able to avoid a direct fight.
Boomstick: Plus, while they both obviously knew a lot of the abilities the other would be using, X’s creepy as fuck slenderman arms aren’t that much weirder then Chaos’s tentacles. Sonic’s fought shapeshifters before after all. But let’s be real, Sonic’s biggest advantage was obviously his Super Form.
Wiz: Not only did Super Sonic widen the stat gap to a degree where X wouldn’t be able to keep up with Sonic’s strength of speed, Sonic’s unrestricted use of Chaos Control shut down tons of X’s options. Sonic could escape X’s traps via teleportation or time stop, while his positive energy aura could purify X’s corrupted drones and even X himself.
Boomstick: Plus, Sonic can time travel! He could have just given X the told “Time huh”-
*SLAP*
Boomstick: OW!
Wiz: No. Don’t.
Boomstick: Fine fine.
Wiz: It’s also important to specify that while X seemingly has dimensional control of his entire dark matter universe, his ability to control the fabric of his world isn’t much different then the capabilities of other villains felled by Super Sonic like Infinite, the Egg Salamander, the Time Eater, or Solaris.
Boomstick: If Sonic could handle them no problem, he sure as hell wouldn’t have a problem with X. Heck, given the games have shown Chaos Control to be capable of minor reality warping, Sonic could probably just un-do any reality warps X used against him. And let’s be real, X never stood a chance against Sonic in the real world. He can barely keep up with him in his dimension, what chance would he have had when limited on his powers, or even stuck in a plush toy form?
Wiz: This is one of the awkward things about comparing a Creepypasta character like Sonic.EXE to Sonic himself. Creepypasta’s are meant to be scary to us as normal humans, so how he’s presented to us is going to be based on making us scared more than anything else. But in Death Battle, we have to compare these two characters directly, meaning that while X may come off as godlike and invulnerable in the context of his Creepypasta, he just didn’t stack up against Sonic himself.
Boomstick: All it took was a Sonic Boom, and X was EXEcuted.
Wizard: The winner is Sonic the Hedgehog.

Sonic The Hedgehog vs Creepypastas. The duel everyone's been waiting for. They're polar opposites, yet at the same time so similar. A pure hearted hero vs his demonic double. Sonic The Hedgehog and Sonic.EXE. Two Sonic's enter, one Sonic leaves.

Scythe: Sonic The Hedgehog.
Scythe: He's undoubtedly one of the most iconic characters in gaming history. So who better to face him off than his creepypasta counterpart?
Soul: Sonic.EXE, the psychotic Hedgehog from another dimension. For the match-up, we'll be focusing on the original Sonic The Hedgehog games, and including any non contradictory material from other sources. We will not be taking Archie Sonic into the equation.
Scythe: As for EXE, we will ONLY be taking feats from the original Creepypasta and it's squeal. There will be nothing taken from anything not created by the original Author.

Scythe: Comparing Sonic's canonical 3 foot 3 height, we can assume this boulder is about 8 feet tall, 7 feet in diameter, and 7 feet long. Assuming a limestone composition, the mount of force to preform this would take upwards of three to four tons of TNT to preform.
Soul: But he's not just strong, he's durable too. Once, during a battle with Metal Sonic, the two clashed, and the resulting explosion created a two kiloton explosion.
Scythe: Assuming both Sonic and Metal where outputting their maximum strength here, it would imply Sonic can strike with at least a single kiloton of force.
Soul: I think it's more impressive he survived the resulting blast.
Scythe: Well, Sonic has survived being crushed by giant hands, the heat of the Earth's core, falls from orbit, and strikes that would take upwards of 500 tons of force, though all of this is for not compared to Sonic's greatest ability. His speed.
Soul: So, how fast is Sonic time? That's easy, he's FTL. He's said so himself.

Scythe: Well, Sonic has beaten Light Speed, but only with the aid of the Light Speed Dash and Light Speed Attack power ups. The highest official description of Sonic's speed labels him as hypersonic, or somewhere around Mach 5 to Mach 10, and this actually isn't too far off. In Sonic Unleashed, passing through a checkpoint records his speed, and he can reach a maximum around 3,500...SPD.
Soul: I'm resisting the urge to make an STD joke only because Boomstick did it.
Scythe: Anyways, we can assume SPD would translate into meters per second, given that Sega is a Japanese studio based in Japan, which would be around 7,872 miles per hour, just on the high end of the hypersonic spectrum.
Soul: How'd you get that number?
Scythe: Converting 7,872 Miles Per Hour to the Metric system gives us a whopping 3,519 Meters Per Second.
Soul: Damn, that's pretty close! So, that's the answer? Kinda underwhelming.
Scythe: Well, no. The TV shows Sonic Boom and Sonic X respectively Sonic has dodged meteors, and even outran lighting, all of which implies that he can move and react around two hundred to three hundred times the speed of sound. And the games support this.
Soul: Right, that one time he caught up to a Cyan Wisp? He said that thing's almost as fast as him, even without its laser mode!
Scythe: Exactly, the laser mode is a power it grants Sonic, not a natural ability, though it's possible it can do it. Whip's are still insanely fast, as a group once flew into orbit in the 20 seconds Sonic and Tails spent talking. And thanks to calculations made in the 2018 Mario vs Sonic through measuring the plants curve and taking into account the distance traveled, they must've been moving around Mach 200, and thus so must Sonic.

Soul: Sonic's proficient enough in hand to hand combat, being a self taught martial artist. But he's got some bizarre skills, like when he curls up into a spiky ball and zooms at you with the spin-dash, or flings himself at you with the homing attack.
Scythe: He can use the Insta-Shield, ironically enough not as a shield, but as an extension to his attack. It's possible this his him utilizing Chaos Energy however and not an actual ability.
Soul: Huh? Chaos Whuzza?
Scythe: Chaos Energy is pretty much the Ki of the Sonic Universe, an energy source more er less all living beings have, though it can be boosted or tapped into by machines like Metal Sonic using the Chaos Emeralds, mystical-gems of unknown origin that grant the user "ultimate power". Sonic can use the Emeralds to preform Chaos Control, which allows Sonic to teleport to or slow down time. And with all Seven Chaos Emeralds, he can transform into Super Sonic.

Soul: Speed. Isn't Super Sonic FTL?
Scythe: Actually no. As shown by Sonic Advance, Super Sonic can reach the moon from Earth's surface in 4 seconds, while it takes light a second. And this was a pretty life and death situation, so Super Sonic was probably pushing his speed to it's limits. So no, he is near FTL, but he can break light with the Light Speed Dash and Attack.
Soul: Alright, but isn't Super Sonic invulnerable?
Scythe: Surprisingly, no...well sorta. At times, Super Sonic has been injured by Knuckles and Super Shadow, though it should be noted Super Sonic was off guard in both situations, implying it's more of a focus based Chaos Shield than natural invulnerability.
Soul: Finally, is strength really limited to Planet Level?
Scythe: Actually, yes. In Sonic Adventure 2 it's directly stated that all 7 Chaos Emeralds together could destroy the planet. The is repeated in Shadow The Hedgehog and Sonic X and finally confirmed in Sonic Unleashed when Eggman uses a cannon powered by the Chaos Emeralds to separate the Earth's core into 7 different pieces. And it's clear Eggman only did this to reach Dark Gaia. If he wanted to, Eggman could've blown up the Earth right then and there. But this in not the peak of Sonic's power. After supercharging the Chaos Emeralds with the Master Emerald's Power, Sonic gained access to his Ultimate Form: Hyper Sonic.

Soul: Still, Sonic is incredibly cocky, sometimes to much for his own good. He can't swim, and is primarily a brawler, so if you had strong energy blasts, you could possibly keep Sonic at bay and beat him. Like Hadouken spamming in Street Fighter.
Scythe: Sonic also cannot maintain his Super form for very long, a couple minuets at max, and his Hyper form barely reaches 60 seconds. Still, whenever Earth is in danger, you can count on the blue streak to speed by, and save the day.

Scythe: EXE posses a large arsenal to use for combat, a lot more than people realize, from teleportation and flight to reality warping his own dimension and mind manipulations. He can shape-shift his body to look like anything he wishes and seems to posses some form of Pyrokinesis. And giving he's copied Sonic's form and has extensive knowledge of the series, it's likely he possess Sonic's abilities as well.
Soul: EXE can even travel between DIMENSIONS, though not whenever he wants, and he's weakened when outside of it.
Scythe: To enter our world, you would need to insert a disk that had the Sonic.EXE game into your computer and run it, in when he can use that has a gateway to enter our world and claim your soul. He also has seven drones, or guardians, made from his powers combined with powerful human emotions, who are really just extensions of his will and being, who keep balance in his world and order in theirs, and are named after the Japanese words for emotions. They are: Kito – Prayer, Aishu – Sorrow, Gekido – Rage, Kirai – Hatred, Kofuku – Happiness, Kyofu – Fear, and Yukubo – Desire, and all are likely as powerful as he is.
Soul: EXE is psychotic, powerful, and out on a plan to rule us all. And he's does a few impressive things, though not without his faults.

Scythe: Inside these hacks's we see EXE out-play Tails and Eggman and one-shot Knuckles and Shadow. Assuming these Sonic characters are at the strength, speed, durability, and so forth and so on of their main series counterparts, and this is an accurate representation of X's power, this means he should be on par with, if not far superior, the higher end protagonists of the Sonic Series.
Soul: Of course, X needs that damn disk portal to enter our world in the first place, and he is mostly limited to soul manipulation outside his world. He's also a fan of trying to mentally break his foes, which could cause him to draw a fight out and possibly lead to his downfall, and he's never fought anyone beyond normal humans. Still, when he gets serious, you better start making him play your game, because if your playing his? Your already dead.

A human girl, around 19 in age with long brown hair in a basic shirt and shorts setup, was running from the Cult of X, through a small clearing in a forest. The girl stopped dead in her tracks as X's seven guardians surrounded her, each with different looks on their faces.
Kirai: Are you done running, bitch? Lord X wishes to speak to you.
Aishu: Now Kirai, the girl has a name. (They turn to the girl) Emily, X just wants to make this world a better place.
Emily: Your crazy! I know the truth! X want's to enslave us!
Kirai: Then you will die more knowledgeable than most.

A blue wind starts wrapping around the seven guardians as a blue hedgehog stands on a rocky ledge above the 8 figures, a carefree smirk on his face with pure white eyes and emerald pupils, leaving those present in shock.
Sonic: My... that's a pretty snazzy performance there.
Emily: You? it can't be...
Sonic's smirk only grows as he takes off, slamming into Kirai before homing attack bouncing off each of the Guardians before landing in front of the human girl.

Scooping the girl up into his arms, Sonic quickly turned and sped off towards a nearby city, away from X's guardians.

Sonic sped into town, finally skidding to a stop in the mostly run down part of town and he set Emily down as Sonic.EXE began looming over them.

Sonic: I found you, faker!
Sonic.EXE: Faker? I think you're the fake Hedgehog around here. You're comparing yourself to me? HA! You're not even good enough to be my fake!
Sonic: I'll make you eat those words!
The two Hedgehog's speed at each other, throwing a punch as they're fists clash.
The two hedgehogs clash in air repeatedly with homing attacks before landing on the ground, EXE going in for a rush attack that Sonic sidestepped and kicked him back.
Sonic: You aren't getting away this time. There's only one real Sonic!
Sonic.EXE: There's always time for games. Let's play!

Sonic smirks and runs forwards, throwing a barrage of kicks at EXE, the demon hedgehog swiftly blocking each attack before slashing Sonic across the gut. Sonic slid back and EXE dashed forward, earning a punch to the face from the Blue Blur. Both Hedgehogs stared each other down before Sonic smirks and took off, EXE speeding off after him. The two raced through the city, a smirk forming on Sonic's face as he stopped and turned around, running straight for EXE, and the two slammed into each other at full force, heads locked in a headbutt like clash while both pushed to keep going forwards.
Sonic: You might know everything I'm going to do, but that's not going to help you since I know everything YOU'RE going to do! Strange isn't it!?
Sonic.EXE: You have no idea what I'm capable of.
Time seemed to slow as the two blue blurs sped throughout the entire city, clashing punches, kicks, headbutts. But in fact, they where simply going faster than anyone could reasonably see. Sonic jumps into the air and off EXE's head, taunting him with a "Catch me if you can!". EXE growled and teleported above Sonic, slamming him into the ground before grabbing his leg and repeatedly beating him against the pavement street. EXE let how his staple laugh and walked up to Sonic, lifting him up by the neck.
Sonic.EXE: Pathetic. You cannot defeat me. I am god!
Sonic: Hehe...Chaos Control.
Time suddenly began moving a lot slower as Sonic.EXE stood still, Sonic smirking and kicking him back before barraging him with spin-dashes. Time returned to normal as EXE grunted and dropped to one knee.
Sonic: Ha! Do you know who I am?
Sonic.EXE: Grrrr! Vanish!
EXE dashed forward and kicked Sonic when he'd dropped his guard and slammed his face into the ground, dragging him across the ground before tossing him into the air and teleporting up there, using Sonic's speed against him to get off his own homing attacks before kicking him to the ground. Floating down, EXE laughed again as he walked up to Sonic, only to take a homing attack to the face from the Speedy Hedgehog.
Sonic: Hehe. Not bad. Not bad at all.
Getting into a running man's stance, Sonic began charging energy into his spin-dash charge before untucking with a Blue Aura surrounding his body.
Sonic: Try and keep up!
Sonic took off at light speed, slamming into EXE from every possible angel. EXE turned just as the Light Speed Attack ended before he formed a ball of fire in his hands and blasting Sonic through multiple buildings. Sonic let out a slightly strained breath as he sat up, cuts leaking blood and small burns on his body, but he stood up anyways as the human he'd been fighting to protect ran over.
Emily: Sonic!
Sonic: Huh!? Kid, you gotta-
EXE suddenly teleported behind her and grabbed her as he placed a laptop down, using is to establish a gateway back to his world.
Sonic.EXE: Maybe I'll let her go...if you become my playtoy in her place.
Emily: S-Sonic! Don't do it!
Sonic clenched his hands and closed his eyes before speed forwards and ramming into EXE, knocking both hedgehogs into the portal as the girl dropped to the ground and skidded back from the gateway laptop.

Sonic landed in the twisted parody of the Green Hill, feeling shivers go down his spine as he saw EXE's home dimension for himself. Dozens of souls in constant agony, the rivers of Green Hill filled with blood, plants dying, sky's grayed out. Sonic took a couple steps forwards when suddenly, X's 7 guardians where surrounding him.
Sonic: Man, these guys don't give up.
Sonic sped forwards and kicked one, but instantly the other 6 rushed him. Despite his efforts, Sonic's injured body couldn't handle all 7 guardians at once, and he began to get overwhelmed and overpowered. EXE watched from above and laughed as his guardians finished his dirty work for him, when a golden light suddenly shot up and launched the 7 guardians back.

Sonic stood in the middle of the light, drawing power from the Chaos Emeralds. The 7 Emeralds circled around Sonic before being absorbed into his body, and his power skyrocketed. He had transformed into Super Sonic.
Super Sonic: Now I'll show you! Aaaaahhhhhhh!!!
Super Sonic dashed forwards and, one by one, completely destroyed all of EXE's minions before turning to EXE himself.
Super Sonic: Let's settle this.
Sonic.EXE: Ready for round two?
The two took off into the grey sky, trails of golden and a dark blue clashing repeatedly for those souls watching. Super Sonic dove forward and smacked EXE down, dashing straight down at him and throwing a repeated barrage of punches to the demons face. Throwing a kick, Super Sonic grabbed EXE and flew up past the grey clouds into the blackness of space, or whatever it was, then chucking him back down to the surface of Hill Zone and diving down after him, slamming into EXE and causing the ground to rupture, before the twisted parody of Green Hill, as well as every other deformed version of a Sonic Zone, where all enveloped in a massive explosion that destroyed all of them. Coming from the blast was Super Sonic, protecting the many captured Spirits.
Super Sonic: Whew, that that tight. Alright, let's get the spirits out of here.
As Super Sonic began to gather Chaos Energy, a sudden force knocked Super Sonic into a reforming Hill Zone, which looked even more like Hell than before. Looking up, Sonic gasped to see EXE, completely fine.
Sonic.EXE:(Does his laugh) You fool! I AM GOD! You cannot beat me!
Super Sonic: God or not, you're still just a faker!
Sonic got up and slammed his foot into EXE to knock him back, EXE smirked as he form shifted from Sonic's to a twisted version of Dark Super Sonic, but keeping his Black and Red Eyes. The two Super Hedgehog's clashed, Golden and Black Aura's shooting from them respectively.

The battle only intensified in speed and the amount of effort the two where putting into trying to pummel each other. Sonic slammed into the ground, arms out to hold EXE back as his shoes made grooves in the ground. Charging up energy, Sonic overpowered EXE and used his Arrow of Light ability to throw EXE back before teleporting behind him using Chaos Control to unleash a speedy barrage of kicks. Sonic rushed in through the infernal flames that came for him and Spin-Dashed into EXE's gut, tearing through it before posing, as if he'd one. EXE just reformed where he'd been stabbed and caught Sonic before he could react, barraging the Golden Hero with his own swift kicks before knocking him into the ground.
Super Sonic: Not bad, not bad at all!!!
Sonic.EXE: Let us play for all eternity!!!!
The two where surrounded in auras of their respective quill colors and charges forwards, both putting visible effort into their clash before Sonic managed to get a lucky kick in and knocked the demon away before rushing after him to go for a neck snapping punch. EXE managed to catch his hand and mentally attacked Super Sonic, using that as an opening to unleash a plethora of deadly attacks before blasting Sonic into the ground and massively barraging the Blue Blur with Blasts of Fire. Super Sonic yells out and launches the fire away before charging up Chaos Energy and firing multiple energy bolts at EXE. Both prepared a massive energy blasts that they flung forward, which collided and destroyed the minuscule area they where fighting at, leaving the two breathing heavily in the void that was EXE's world.

Sonic.EXE: So many souls to kill you with. Die.
EXE began floating up above Sonic, the golden hedgehog giving chase, only to be grabbed by something. Looking down. Sonic gasped when he saw a twisted and deformed looking human pulling him by the leg. Sonic looked up and dashed forwards at EXE, but one by one my hands of the souls EXE had enslaved grabbed onto a different part of his body and began pulling him downwards, his Super Form finally wearing off. Sonic grunted and yelled as he was pulled into a pile of dozens of souls that began beating on him, far more than he could reasonably handle. They punched, kicked, stomped, clawed scratched tugged, tore. Sonic let yell after yell out before he had seemingly succumb to unconsciousness. Suddenly, rainbow energy began emanating from Sonic as the Chaos Emeralds surrounded him, Sonic's eyes shooting open and absorbed the energy, letting out a pure white wave the left burns on EXE's body and incapacitated the souls. Suddenly, EXE felt something jab into his back, and before he could react he was thrown around like a ragdoll. Finally getting his bearings, EXE came face to face with a pissed off Hyper Sonic.

Hyper Sonic charged forwards and continued his literal light speed beat down on EXE, not even giving his opponent a chance to retaliate. EXE managed to get a single punch in, but it had no effect. Sonic grabbed EXE's hand a crushed it, his positive energy aura spilling into EXE, causing the dark god to yell and scream in pain as a pure white aura overtook them both, yet at the same time the very void they where in hostilely converged at Sonic at the same time.
Hyper Sonic: HYPER FLASH!!!!!
A massive explosion rung out as the entire void shook from the resulting conclusion, one Sonic be completely incinerated as the other was flung back onto Earth.

A portal opened through the Laptop EXE has used before to enter his world and one of the two Hedgehog's was flung out, back in their original Blue Form from their previous transformation, and slamming against a nearby wall, the human girl Sonic had been protecting at first running over as the Hedgehog stood up and stared at her when a playful smirk formed on his face as he gave her a thumbs up, his eyes a faithful Emerald Green.
Sonic: Hey, ya miss me?
Sonic waves goodbye to Emily, wishing her luck to exposing Sonic.EXE to the world now that there's nobody to keep her from telling. Afterwards, Super Sonic returns to X's dimension and begins guiding Souls back to their bodies so they may live again.

Soul: Hot damn, now that was a Death Battle! A great way to celebrate 30 episodes!
Scythe: EXE was certainly one of the toughest opponent's Sonic has ever faced, and likely always will be. In base forms, they should be relatively similar in speed and durability, though Sonic had a clear combat experience edge and EXE had the edge in physical strength due to being able to one shot Shadow and Knuckles, who are physically on par with Sonic.
Soul: So EXE could've killed Sonic just like that?
Scythe: Actually, yes. Despite Super and Hyper Sonic absolutely destroying EXE in just about every physical combat category and his time manipulations with Chaos Control would throw EXE for a loop, EXE really could have just beaten Sonic in a single hit if he wanted to.
Soul: Sooooooooo, why didn't he?
Scythe: Two reasons. One, EXE canonically is a huge Sonic fan. It's unlikely he'd want to fight Sonic at first due to this. But even worse, EXE's desire to play with his prey and mentally break them would be his ultimate downfall, considering Sonic is out for his blood.
Soul: Wait! Why did EXE turn into a twisted Dark Super Sonic?
Scythe: He's a shape shiftier. Shifting into something that bothers your opponent is uncomfortable against is a great tactic, but Sonic has shown amazing Mental Resolve. If Sonic can resist mental attacks from the Overmind and Dark Gaia, and not loose his cocky and quirky personality after 6 months of torture, EXE's mind games likely wouldn't have fared much better. In the end, Sonic's greater combat experience, superior Super Forms, and EXE's easily abusable personality led to his victory.
Soul: Look's like Sonic.EXE finally saw the light, and was EXEcuted.
