Goku vs Gumball is a fan-made Death Battle episode between the lovable saiyan from Dragon Ball vs the lovable cat from The Amazing World of Gumball.
Description[]
2 childish but kind hearted characters who became an icon, who will win in this fight? The father of anime or the icon of Cartoon Network?
Interlude[]
Wiz: Son Goku, the iconic super saiyan.
Boomstick: Gumball Watterson from The Amazing World of Gumball.
Wiz: 2 super saiyans going up against each other, will Goku find out about Gumball copying him and take revenge?
Boomstick: Actual fighting vs toon force and manipulation
Wiz: Monkey vs Cat
Boomstick: Cartoons vs Anime, he's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win... a Death Battle.
Son Goku[]
(Cue: Cha La Head Cha La)
Wiz: We all love anime. There are a lot of great anime series out there such as One Punch Man, One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Fairly Tale, etc.
Boomstick: and while all these anime series are awesome. They do not top the best anime of all of them, Dragon Ball Z. That series is an all out classic to a lot of people.
Wiz: Goku is like the Superman of anime when you think of it. Goku has first came into this planet after Planet Vegeta got destroyed, ever since then Goku has met a lot of humans and even married a human wife and has a human sidekick named Krillin and has been training ever since.
Boomstick: Ever since then, the saiyan hero has achieved a lot of forms such as Super Saiyan 4, Super Kaio-Ken, The Great Ape, Super Saiyan Blue, Kaio-Ken, Super Saiyan 2, oh my lord these are so much forms the list can just keep going on if I want to.
Wiz: Goku's strongest form out of all of them however is most likely True Ultra Instinct in the manga, with ultra instinct he was able to take down Jiren and win the tournament of power in Dragon Ball Super.
Boomstick: Goku has battled a lot of gods before, he actually fought Beerus and even an evil version of himself named "Goku Black". I really knew Goku had the chance to make it through the tornament of power. Goku's rival is also Vegeta also known as the prince of all saiyans who was formerly a villain but then after he developed an emotional relation when he blew himself up against Buu realizing he can care for others in the progress.
Wiz: Whenever Goku is not fighting, he is usually childish and has a kid like behavior. He's also pretty dumb when he isn't fighting in Dragon Ball Super and still cares for a lot of people.
Boomstick: Goku has the power level of "OVER 9000", let's not forget his battle intelligence which is an extreme genius in terms of.
Wiz: Oh right, Goku may be a stupid idiot when he's not fighting but when he does fight, his intelligence is really good. The guy was able to outsmart some of the smartest villains and opponents possible whenever he doesn't fight, this is why Goku is one of the most loved and respected anime characters to this day and probably always will even when the generations go by.
Goku: I am the hope of the universe. I am the answer to all living things that cry out for peace. I am protector of the innocent. I am the light in the darkness. I am truth. Ally to good! Nightmare to you!
Gumball Watterson[]

Wiz: Don't you just love to just sit back on your couch as a kid and just watch some good old Cartoon Network? Well, I'm sure we all do.
Boomstick: I easily do. Infact I have a lot of favorite shows from that channel like Regular Show and Adventure Time though another good Cartoon Network cartoon to watch in your spare time is The Amazing World of Gumball.
Wiz: Gumball was just your average child rised by Nicole Watterson and Richard Watterson with his little sister Anais and his pet gold fish Darwin, he may look like just a generic cartoon child if you didn't watch the show but when you start watching Gumball, you will start to realize he's way and we mean, way more than that.
Boomstick: Gumball has been having crazy speed as a kid, he was able to save Darwin before Richard could flush him down the toilet. Let's also not forget he can turn super saiyan like wow, that was extremely awesome to witness.
Wiz: Gumball has toon force like other cartoon characters so he has the hax advantage when it comes to fighting. Also let's not forget to mention the world of Gumball is insane, there are so many realistic themes and Gumball has met an interesting amount of people in his life through that.
Boomstick: He also has a few decent weaponry. Remember the universal remote? That thing could easily destroy the universe if he wants to.
Wiz: Yep, I remember that. Also, let's not forget that one time Gumball and Darwin tanked the Big Bang or how about that one time where when Richard got a job he was able to break the universe due to how fat he is?
Boomstick: Oh damn, the Gumball world really is that OP? I'm really excited to see this matchup now. Now I really can see why people requested him to go up against SpongeBob.
Wiz: More powers Gumball has is that he has plot manipulation, shape shifting, being able to possess people, can discrete people, create voids, was able to fuse in with Darwin, the list goes on.
Boomstick: Woah-oh. This really shows that kid cartoons should never be overshadowed, I'm honestly very impressed about this. Aren't his parents like Nicole also very strong? I mean we already talked about Richard but what about Nicole and Anais.
Wiz: Yeah, his family is just as powerful or even sometimes above him. Anais is very smart and Nicole has the power of anime, I mean she once fight someone and it was in an insanely good anime style. The Amazing World of Gumball really knows how to capture media we love.
Boomstick: No wonder why this is one of the most popular shows on Cartoon Network, such a shame it ended back in 2019 and on a cliff hanger.
Wiz: Yea, oh well. At least it's coming up with a movie so it could return.
Boomstick: Wait really? I'm now really excited to see how this is gonna go out as.
Wiz: Same, anyways... let's let the Death Battle begin!
Gumball: Yeah, it really helped. It meant I could focus and didn't need to cheat, like you did in the eighth grade
Intermission[]
Wiz: Alright the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all.
Boomstick: It's time for a Death Battle!
Death Battle[]
(Location: Gumball's Neighborhood)
Goku: Man, I had an extremely long day fighting all those villains last night. I mean oh well, this is just my life.
Gumball and Darwin were then running up and then approaches Goku. They were extremely shocked to see him but Darwin slowly laughed at what Goku looks like and Gumball couldn't resist it so he laughed as well.
Darwin: Hey Gumball, this dude looks like he got out of the gym and he looks like a monkey.
Gumball: Oh my gosh Darwin that's so true.
Goku: Hey! That's not nice!
Darwin: What actually isn't nice is the fact you're a human who looks like a monkey, what did you got trouble from birth or something?
Darwin just keeps roasting Goku so hard that Goku can't take it anymore so he grabbed Darwin and choked him in the necked so hard that he died, Gumball realized what he did and is sad about this.
Gumball: DARWIN NO!!!
Goku: That is what you get for making fun of me fish!
Gumball: YOU MONSTER!!! YOU KILLED MY CHILDHOOD PET!!! NOW YOU'RE GONNA PAY!!!
Goku: Oh bring it on, I'M READY!!!
Gumball runned up to Goku and then try to throw some punches at him but due to Goku's durability Goku doesn't seem to be hurt through the punches, Goku looks down and smirks as he blasts a kamehameha wave at Gumball but due to Gumball's durability he was able to survive it.
Goku: WHAT?!?!?!?
Gumball: Wow you really are one tough person to deal with but not gonna lie, I'm sure soon you're gonna end for killing my friend.
Gumball then runs up to Goku but Goku just grabs Gumball in his hands and throws him so hard that it broke the camera recording the fight, the screen then turned black for a little minutes with some voices being heard in the background.
Gumball: Hey, I think the camera stopped working!
Goku: Oh wait nevermind, I want the audience to see this battle so I'm gonna see what I did wrong.
The camera then turns back on and then the battle continues like usual.
Gumball: You may have been stronger than me but you must know I have the power of imagination on my side.
Goku: What are you talking about?
Gumball then pulls out the remote but then Goku isn't taking any risks, he instantly transforms to Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken times 10 and dashes up to Gumball and punched him but Gumball freezed time but then he realized Goku is still moving.
Gumball: WHAT THE??? HOW ARE YOU STILL MOVING???
Goku: Seems like you just froze time, pretty impressive I must say. You know, this is actually kinda like my fight with Beerus except I'm fighting a really strong child. I actually credit you for that.
Goku then dashes in the sky with Gumball confused and scared, he throws a ki blast at Gumball which destroyed his body but then Gumball reincarnation himself leaving Goku shocked.
Goku: WHAT? HOW ARE YOU NOT DEAD?
Gumball: You seem to be really powerful yourself LET'S KILL THIS GUY!!!
Gumball then turns into super saiyan right infront of Goku's face leaving Goku completely shocked but then he leaves a smirk to his face.
Goku: You're a super saiyan? Well, this is gonna be juicy then.
Gumball then throws a kahameaha at Goku but Goku knowing how the power works way longer than Gumball has so he pulls out his hands and blocks the kahameaha from burning him leaving Gumball in complete shock.
Goku: YOU ARE GOING TO PAY!!!!!
Goku then transforms into Super Saiyan Blue leaving Gumball is complete shock, Gumball knew he is doomed now.
Gumball: No, this can't be happening. I need to get out here, oh hey my legs are moving.
Goku: Not so fast!
Gumball tries to escape the fight knowing he is done for but Goku was able to catch up with him. Goku then blasts a kahameaha at Gumball finally ending him and burning him to death, Goku then burns both their bodies to prevent any evidence of the murder. He then reverts back to normal and found the remote used to pause time in which he then unfreezes time and the super saiyan teams then met him.

Vegeta: Kakarot! Where have you been?
Goku: Let's just say I met some blue cat and decided to battle him. I'd explain it better when we get back to Krillin's house okay?
Vegeta: Ehhhh, alright.
Goku and Vegeta then decided to go back to their verse so Goku can explain to Krillin and his friends about the fight he had. Meanwhile with Gumball and Darwin, Gumball's ghost then met Darwin's ghost but because Goku burned their bodies they were unable to be revived in which then they were unable to interact with their family or friends again knowing they are dead, Nicole and Richard were also looking for Gumball and Darwin but with no signs of them find, they reported that they're missing hoping to see them come back.
Results[]
Boomstick: Ow my childhood. How did Gumball lose this one? That was probably one of the most disappointing matchups I've ever seen.
Wiz: You see while Gumball has the toon force advantage against Goku making it harder for him to be killed but the problem with this is Goku has dealt with villains with hax before so this isn't gonna be a problem for Goku. Besides this Goku outclasses him in a lot of other categories besides hax such as Strength, Speed, Battle Intelligence, and Goku has way better battle experience than Gumball. Both of them are also tied in terms of intelligence.
Boomstick: How about the universal remote of Gumball or the fact Gumball can turn super saiyan? Didn't Darwin like sneezed and it destroyed the universe or the time Gumball and Darwin tanked the Big Bang?
Wiz: The universal remote is a one time thing Gumball has, the super saiyan multiplier never states anything about it also affecting fan-fiction media characters and also believe it or not, Gumball did not tank the big bang at all. Instead, Gumball and Darwin watched the Big Bang happened from a far distance since the growth of the Big Bang grows for about a decent amount of years.
Boomstick: Even then by this logic, Goku has destroyed multiple universes before. The Dragon Ball verse has infinite universes and Goku has destroyed the universe way more than Gumball has infact, we can actually see this in his fight with Beerus.
Wiz: Besides this even if the Gumball verse is pretty broken and has a lot of dreams. It's really nothing to Goku either, he has came to the afterlife and back to earth.
Boomstick: Didn't Gumball exist beyond the Cartoon Network shows though? I mean, I think I saw him creating imagination land or that time he beated Uncle Grandpa.
Wiz: About those. No, the Cartoon Network bloopers aren't canon and there is no way to prove any crossovers in Cartoon Network are canon. Also, imagination land was made in a dream so he didn't create imagination land in reality, it was all through a dream. Goku is also more durable than Gumball too, even if you gotta say Gumball "tanked the big bang" Goku has tanked hits from multiversal gods.
Boomstick: Seems like at this point, this battle has created The Amazing World of Goku.
Wiz: The winner is... Son Goku!

- The connections between Goku and Gumball is that they are both childish main animated characters from their respective series with both of them also becoming the icon of their certain category in the progress of doing so (Gumball is the icon of Cartoon Network while Goku is the icon of anime), both have a smart friend (Bulma and Anais), both have been into martial arts, they are both really low in terms of intelligence, they both have an evil twin of them (Goku Black and Zach Watteron), they both have "Son" in their names (Son Goku and Gumball Watterson), both have been shown destroying universes before (Goku doing a lot in Dragon Ball Super and Gumball with the universal remote), they are both fighting robots before (Rob and Dr. Gero's Androids), and both have a close friend that they met during their childhood (Krillin and Darwin).
- To add this up even more, they both went super saiyan and funny enough, Super Saiyan Gumball was actually inspired off of Super Saiyan from the Dragon Ball franchise.
- This battle was originally gonna be "Gumball vs Lincoln".
- However even if Lincoln Loud did not have Gumball has his opponent he still ended up on a canon Death Battle against Deku in a season 2 episode.
