The connections between Soma and Alone are as follows:

• They are two young, more friendly teenagers who incidentally end up becoming the reincarnation for a dark, godlike being who reincarnates every several hundred years.
  • Dracula for Soma and Hades for Alone.
• They contrast in the fact that Soma represses his dark side as Dracula but it sometimes slips out, while Alone gives into his side as Hades's human avatar, but his true good nature comes out every now and then.
• Eventually they purge their evil selves (for the most part) and fight against a godlike creature of pure evil.
  • Chaos for Soma, and Hades's true form for Alone.
