Soma Cruz is a main protagonist of the Castlevania series, first appearing in Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, followed by Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. In addition, Soma Cruz is the reincarnation of the series' main antagonist, Dracula.

History[]
After Dracula had finally died by the hand of the last Belmont, Julius, instead of being sent to Hell, his soul was taken to Heaven instead, where he earns the audience of the deity he had scorned the most for taking away his first beloved, God.
However, having understood his plight all along, God, out of sympathy for Dracula, resurrected him as a mortal known as Soma Cruz. At this form, Soma was your average teen, studying at high school and all, until he suddenly wakes up in the castle he previously owned as Dracula. Curious, Soma attempts to discover his previous heritage with friends and help from his mentor, Genya Arikado.
