Description[]
They are both the main anthropomorphic animal characters from old video games, who both suffered a tragedy in their past but rebounded stronger than ever, and they both fight to protect the world from evil. This is the Twelfth episode of the Seventh season of Dandyclaw's Death Battle.
Interlude[]
·Wiz: The PlayStation gaming system has created a lot different protagonist over the years, from Resident Evil’s Leon Kennedy to Uncharted’s Nathan Drake
·Boomstick: But sometimes their coolest characters are the ones that are not human at all. Like Sly Cooper, the master of thievery!
·Wiz: and Ty, the fearless but not forgotten Tasmanian Tiger.
·Boomstick: He’s Wiz and I'm Boomstick!
·Wiz: And it’s our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a DEATH BATTLE!
Sly Cooper is wanted for robbing Death Battle[]
o Wiz: Throughout history, there have been history thieves that have plagued the rich and wealthy, but none have been more famous and historic than the The Cooper clan. Sure they may be the most famous lineage of thieving raccoons in all of history, but they only steal from the rich, the corrupt, and the evil, because there is no honor, no challenge, no fun in stealing from ordinary people.
o Boomstick: These fluffy vermin have been around for generations, each one known for their thieving skills. There was Bob the caveman, the egg thief; Rioichi Cooper, the ninja cat burglar, and "Tennessee Kid" Cooper, the gun-totin' gunslinger of the old west. But none of them were more renowned and heroic than the one and only, Sly Cooper.
o Wiz: Son of the famed thief Conner Cooper, Sly was always fascinated by all the tales his father would tell him about their ancestors and their thieving reputations. See all of Sly’s ancestors were recorded in a book known as the Thievius Raccoonus, an ancient set of archives handed down from parent to child throughout the centuries that acted as both a handbook describing the many of the skills of the Cooper Clan, and a record of various accomplishments and events. Legends says that anyone who read it would learn to become not just any thief, but a master thief.
https://youtu.be/QrNsuMiIbEI?si=zJ2GrKty12daB1j3
o Boomstick: Too bad for Sly his life would take a complete 180 when the Cooper residence received some unexpected guest in the middle of the night. Because you can't be a hero or a thief unless you've lost your parents.
o Wiz: On the night an eight year old Sly was meant to inherit the Thievius Raccoonus, a group known as the Fiendish Five attacked the Cooper family, killed Conner Cooper and his wife, and stole the Thievius Raccoonus. They split the book into five pieces and fled to different parts of the world to commit their own dastardly crimes, leaving Sly an orphan.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csqK8nBdt6o
o Boomstick: But turns out being an orphan was the best thing that could happen to our little prodigy racoon. Orphaned and homeless, Sly was placed at the local orphanage, where he would meet his lifelong friends and future partners in crime: Bentley, a brainy turtle with a love for mechanical tinkering, and Murray, a brawny hippo who served as the team's muscle and get away driver. Hey Wiz, why do those guys look so familiar?
o Wiz: With their help and encouragement, Sly was determined to live up to his namesake to avenge his family and reclaim his birthright. Several years later, an adult Sly Cooper tracked every member of the Fiendish Five, defeated and each and every one of them, including their leader Clockwork, who had been alive since the very first Cooper relative by fusing his body with robotic parts to make himself practically immortal.
o Boomstick: (sarcastically) Yup. That's not totally disturbing or creepy at all.
https://youtu.be/w4nWPsrikuk?si=fj02PATJHkNU4C4i
o Wiz: With all of his family’s killers behind bars, Sly reclaimed all the pages of the Thievius Raccoonus and began traveling the world to commit numerous heists with his new Cooper Gang.
o Boomstick: All the while being chased by a smoking hot and honest cop, Inspector Carmelita Fox. Hmm, I see why Sly got the hots for that dame, even if they world on different sides of the law.
o Wiz: But don’t let Sly’s crimes and criminal records give you the wrong idea about him. Not only does he and his gang only steal from criminals and corrupt officials, but the work they do actually does more good than harm for the people of the world, even if the police don’t see it that way. But luckily, Sly is no ordinary thief, and he got the feats and gadgets to prove it.
o Boomstick: He never goes anywhere with his signature weapon, the Cooper Cane, which has passed down the Cooper family for generations. It can be used as a spastic weapon to savagely beat the opponent or as an elegant weapon used in a fencing manner. And just like Thor’s hammer, it can build up electricity and pick locks easily. Where can I get my hands on something like that?
https://youtu.be/uDOSFNcqzPE?si=KrCxnBQ6zKnQVlGy
o Wiz: It can be used in a deadly spin attack and its Hook can be used to help climb and swing across his environment, as well as grabbing, tossing, and slamming enemies. He also has his Binocucom that acts as a communication device to the rest of his team and comes with x-ray vision and a flash that can stun foes.
o Boomstick: He’s also got a Paraglider to help him soar through the air from one building to another, a Music Box that makes his foes fall asleep on the job, an Alarm Clock to wake them back up, a cardboard cutouts of himself used to fool and distract guards, and a Jetpack that he “borrowed” from Carmalita that has shoulder-mounted missiles and drop bombs out of the back. Man, I need to get me one of those.
o Wiz: No, you don’t. Especially after your little mishap with your doombuggy.
o Boomstick: So I ran over a few picnic tables and sent some people to the hospital. No biggie.
https://youtu.be/CeztQSJTkgg?si=mJGuGPS1u32dEzTe
o Wiz: No biggie? OH! That is what we call a biggie. And like any good thief, he carries around small bombs that although they do not kill a person, they do help him make a quick escape or distraction for any guards around. He’s got Flash and Smoke Bombs that emit a flash of blinding light or a puff of smoke to confuse his opponents, or Rage bombs where any enemy caught in the blast radius will turn into a mindless killing machine and will attack everyone and everything, including their allies.
o Boomstick: Not Cool Wiz, bombs are my specialty. Well, outside of costumes, Sly is also pretty strong on his own, capable of breaking metal objects and fighting opponents much bigger and beefier than himself, like Muggshot and the Panda King.
o Wiz: He’s fast enough to dodge automatic gun fire, stealthy enough to pickpocket any guard without them even knowing, and can tank blows from bullets, missiles, and flames.
o Boomstick: With all these tools at his disposal, Sly gained a famed reputation across the world for being a master thief and hero to those who saw him for who he truly was. No wonder he's always welcomed whenever Playstation does one of their mega-crossover events, even though he doesn't have any superpowers at all.
https://youtu.be/gcNzjEbIvu8?si=BM54qPfi0cI6MVSh
o Wiz: He once competed against Jak and Daxter and Ratchet and Clank in the Inter-Universal Hero Games alongside his bestie Bentley.
o Boomstick: Yeah well that’s nothing compared to the time he fought against people like Kratos, Cole MacGrath, Raiden, Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, Heihachi Mishima and Nathan Drake in the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Wiz, when are we gonna get a new Sly Cooper game.
o Wiz: Well there have been rumors and whispers about future games and a potential animated movie, but alas that is what they have remained to be…Rumors.
o Boomstick: SHIT! But at least he’ll always be remembered for his cool and iconic gear.
o Wiz: But the most powerful weapon in Sly’s arsenal is his ancestral book, the Thievius Raccoonus. After finally collecting all the pieces and studying all its pages, Sly learned countless moves from his many ancestors that helped him perfect the art of thievery.
https://youtu.be/cDE3CQJQ86M?si=GPejJh0FnhPnodDK
o Boomstick: With the Ninja Spire Jump from his ninja ancestor, he can hop from one pointy spike to another with such grace he and without the risk of injury. The Knockout Dive, which…speaks for itself..lets him dives forward and knocks out foes from above. And the Rail Walk and Rail Slide lets Sly him walk or slide on anything from branches, rails, pipes and even freaking lasers! Now that’s what I call an Electric Slide.
o Wiz: There’s Shadow Power, which is not really an actual punch, it just lets Sly turn invisible. The Mega Jump allows him to leap to incredible heights in a single bound, and my personal favorite, the Silent Obliteration, which lets him take down any foe if Sly is able to sneak up on them.
o Boomstick: Sly’s tracked down and defeated all the members of the Fiendish Five and the Klaww Gang, broke into the Cooper Vault while eluding the mad mandril Doctor M, and defeated his arch-enemy Clockwork on two occasions.
o Wiz: Well not technical, the second version of Clockwerk was none as Clock-La, with the body of Clockwork fused with the mind of the corrupt Constable Neyla.
https://youtu.be/vXJoFNfWDEc?si=fcKMFpnpPqv_yz-3
o Boomstick: And people wonder why Sly doesn’t become a cop even after all the good he has done?
o Wiz: It’s not big deal, after his near death adventure at the Cooper Island Vault at the hands of Doctor M, Sly temporarily retired from his life of crime to spend time with the love of his life Carmalita, allowing him to official confess his fully feels to her with a shock pistol being in his face.
o Boomstick: Only because she thought he had amnesia, which he didn’t, that sneaky devil. But it wasn’t long before the old itch came back, and he went right back to pulling off heists. Sure Carmalita was super ticked at him for lying to him, but at least she finally began to accept that Sly truly cared for her, and vice versa. Aww, True love never fails.
o Wiz: During his team’s mission traveling through time to stop the infamous and foul smelling criminal Le Paradox, Sly not only met up with some of his legendary ancestors and made a reluctant Carmailta an official member of the Cooper Gang, but also received several elaborate disguises to blend in with his surroundings and prevent him from screwing up the timeline.
o Boomstick: You’ve been watching The Flash again, haven’t you. Luckily some of these costumes gave him special powers and he can switch between them in a matter of seconds.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhsBYQK2hYg
o Wiz: With the Samurai Costume, Sly can use a shield to deflect projectiles. With the Jailbird Costume’, he can use his ball and chain to let him roll around and smash walls and other obstacles.
o Boomstick: Black and White looks good on him, too good if you ask me. He’s got a Sabertooth Costume which helps him leap across large gaps and with his Archer Costume, he’s got a bow arrow to help him unleash his inner Robin Hood. You know, everyone's favorite talking fox! Oo-de-lally!
o Wiz: Wrong species and wrong Robin Hood.
o Boomstick: That's your opinion.
o Wiz: But the one thing we will agree on is that the most powerful costume in Sly’s wardrobe is the Arabian Thief Costume, which grants Sly an Houglass Staff that allows him to slow down time to a for a few minutes, making it perfect for escaping fast-moving attacks.
o Boomstick: It’s official Wiz, he's the world's greatest thief, bar none.
https://youtu.be/zXqADqlRE8g?si=KNSjXeIDutEkzR8T
o Wiz: I dunno Boomstick, what about all times you said you wanted someone like Catwoman, Black Cat, or Sombra to steal your heart, hmm?
o Boomstick: Okay, let me rephrase that…he's the world's greatest animal thief, bar none.
o Wiz: But as much as it pains us to admit it, no thief is perfect, not enough the most famed Sly Cooper, and there have been on some occasions where his luck has run out on him.
o Boomstick: Despite his greatness, Sly is more of a team player, relying on his gang when situations get tight. Plus, when it comes to bigger and tougher opponents, he usually has to keep his distance to come up with plans to take them down from afar, or let his pal “the Murray” take them out with his brute strength.
https://youtu.be/capj2WlVHeY?si=HFAb__JwPjwE090G
o Wiz: He prefers a stealth approach over direct combat, since above all else, he is a thief, not a warrior. And believe it or not, he can’t swim.
o Boomstick: But no matter how high the odds are stacked against him, this raccoon cat burglar will always push through them to get the job done.
o Wiz: From taking down international crime lords to malicious authority figures, Sly proved himself as a Thief worthy of his forebears.
o Boomstick: With her teammates Bently and Murray, enemies turned allies like Dimitri and the Panda King, and badass on and off girlfriend Caramlita by his side, there is nothin' this literal Sly raccoon couldn't do. Well except getting stuck ancient Egypt with seemingly no hope of returning due to lack of future games.
o Sly Cooper: Getting inside the place would take precision, creativity, and moreover, it would take an army of world-class thieves. Finding and bringing together that much talent won't be easy, but to get inside the Cooper Vault and collect my inheritance, I was willing to pay the price.
Ty the Tasmanian Tiger hits Death Battle on target.[]
o Wiz: Australia, the sixth continent of the world, and the great world down under. It’s home to many unique species of bipedal anthropomorphic animals that live and thrive there. From Koalas to Kangaroos, to Dingoes and Cockatoo.
o Boomstick: But none of them are as cool and badass as the Thylacine, or what they are better known as the Tasmanian Tiger, who serve as the protectors of the Outback. For decades, the Tasmanian Tigers were known as protectors. Guarding the secrets of their home and those inside were always their top priority.
o Wiz: And among these warm blooded heroes was the newest and most outgoing younger named Ty. Even before he became a warrior, Ty was always intrigued by the stories his father told him about his family's adventures and the missions they went on to preserve the peace of the outback.
o Boomstick: But like all past childhoods of certain heroes, they never last long. Turns out, not every animal was okay with the mammals being at the top of the food chain.
o Wiz: That particular somebody was an evil cassowary named Boss Cass, who thought that his species and other birds and reptiles deserved to be in charge, since they had been around since the time of the dinosaurs. So he and his minions sought out the 5 Mystic Talismans of Southern Rivers to banish all mammals to another dimension.
https://youtu.be/2YxvJi4WWG8?si=Av_nD1bTCazcBQzK
o Boomstick: Props to him for thinking outside the box. Although they fought their hardest, the Tasmanian Tiger guardians were ultimately defeated and got zapped to another dimension. But not before one named Bri threw a wrench in his operation and scattered the Talismans away, forcing Cass to start his scavenger hunt all over again. Hate it when that happens.
o Wiz: In a last ditch attempt, Bri rescued Ty and took him in as his own, keeping his word to Ty’s father that he would look after him until he found a way to bring back his friend.
o Boomstick: For the next several years, Ty was cared for and trained by his adopted father, until he met the Bunyip Elder, Nandu Gili, informing Ty of his biological parents fate, Boss Cass' plan, and that the only way he could save them was by recollecting all 5 Talismans before Cass could use them again. Man, this Bird would give Dr. Eggman and Doctor Wily a run for his money.
o Wiz: With the help of his training and friends, Ty traveled across the Outback and found all the Talismans before facing off against Boss Cass & freeing the Tasmanian tigers.
o Boomstick: And as a bonus, he reunited with his long lost brother Sly, who had been kidnapped by Cass and raised to believe that his family abandoned him, bringing him back to the side of good. This story sounds an awful lot like a Star Wars movie, where Ty is Luke, Sly is Vader, and Cass is Sidious.
https://youtu.be/gp-oavoBGik?si=ipFldiarSWFjXNY9
o Wiz: With his family returned and missions completed, Ty began wandering the world in search of adventure. Or at least until Boss Cass escaped from prison and went back to his world dominating goals.
o Boomstick: Seriously man, get a life already, he should know by now that this is only going to keep happening over and over again.
o Wiz: With his nemesis back at large, Ty joined the newly formed Bush Rescue Team, an emergency forces unit that not only serves as the elite defense forces of Southern Riversand the rest of Australia, but as a general emergency and rescue team.
o Boomstick: And with Ty as their mascot and secret weapon, the Bush Rescue began to wage war against Boss Cass as his army of lizards and mad scientists on his quest for Outback domination. Not to mention the army of Shadow spirits called Quinkan, they are like the Outback versions of the Boogeyman, and just as scary.
o Wiz: Ty is a skilled melee fighter who prefers to fight in close quarters or from a distance. Thanks to his thylacine features, he has enhanced acrobatics skills and agility, capable of leaping long distances in a single jump.
o Boomstick: But unlike the iconic Tasmanian Tiger, Ty is an excellent swimmer and can hold his breath underwater for at least 5 minutes. Well that is until the 4th game came out, now he can hold it underwater indefinitely.
https://youtu.be/j4urdUOmdgI?si=z1nvF0Ryld2SB7Xo
o Wiz: But just like the thylacine, Ty has an incredibly powerful set of teeth that bite through open crates as if they were potato chips.
o Boomstick: Just one bite from those chompers can send even the toughest lizards henchmen scaling up the nearest tree or crying to their mommies after Ty bites their tails off, literally.
o Wiz: Don’t worry, they’ll grow back, eventually.
o Boomstick: Ty's main weapon of choice are his iconic boomerangs, a traditional weapon used by the Aboriginal Australians for hunting designed to spin about and return back to sender. Only people with a great throwing arm and an eye for detail can handle a pair of these bad boys, and Ty is no exception.
o Wiz: Throughout his journey, Ty got himself a number of useful boomerangs, or rangs as they are called down under. The Flamerangs are made of pure lava and can burn anything, the Aquarangs work underwater, and the Zoomerangs have enhanced range and can be through with the accuracy of a sniper rifle.
https://youtu.be/aHDBrZvzPko?si=4P01_dH6YjO_anch
o Boomstick: Then there's the Multirangs can be rapid-fired like min gun, the Lassorang lets Ty unleash his inner cowboy, the Frostyrangs can freeze things in place, the Infrarangs can find and hit hidden objects, the Megarangs have homing properties, the Zappyrangs zaps the shit outta you, the beautiful Kaboomerangs explode upon impact, the Chronorangs slows down anyone they hit, and my personal favorite the Doomerangs, which can be guided to its targets for precise hits. Wiz, I think I found my next hobby.
o Wiz: And i think i need to add extra protection to our windows.
o Boomstick: So i broke one window when I was using my shotgun leg, no big deal.
o Wiz: Actually, that was one window each week that broke because of you.
o Boomstick: Arcuate, but at least his Boomerangs are wicked cool as heck.
https://youtu.be/qzsC1qSqFDo?si=pgG0florCs8KKQyH
o Wiz: He can cool down molten rocks that're too hot to touch with his Frostyrang, smash through solid boulders with the Smasharang, and pull down weak structures or wrap the up with his Lasharangs or Lassorang.
o Boomstick: Plus his brother Sly used his knowledge from Cass to upgrade several of his rangs to make them even stronger than before. Now that’s some great sibling bonding right there.
o Wiz: The Lavarangs, which are two times stronger than the Flamerangs, can make objects explode into lava. The Freezerangs, which are stronger than the Frostyrangs, can completely freeze stronger enemies into solid blocks of ice, the Omegarangs work like Megarangs & Multirangs combined, multiplying the number of boomerangs Ty can throw at multiple enemies. Now that’s multi-tasking.
o Boomstick: And the Thunderangs can stun enemies with a burst of thunder and send out a concussion wave that knocks even the toughest enemies to the ground. But if there is one thing Ty is good at other than kicking ass, it’s doing the right thing at the right time.
https://youtu.be/obFXjpZ-O_g?si=IKuLskj4k10cf1oZ
o Wiz: With Ty at their side, the Bush Rescue team has preserved the peace within the Great Land Down under and thwarted numerous plans by nefarious Boss Cass and his cronies.
o Boomstick: And we still haven’t talked about Ty’s greatest weapon of all: His Battle Bunyip, an absolute beauty of a Mech Suit , and it comes in a multitude of different features suited for all of Ty’s needs. The Battle Bunyip, never leave home without it.
o Wiz: A weapon such as this proved very useful against Cass’s army of Uber Reptiles, which were stronger than any foe Ty had ever faced in the past.
o Boomstick: In its classic form, the Battle Bunyip is your average combat robot, possessing large fists for knocking the socks off foes, jet boosters to slow its descent, propellers for swimming, and a shock wave attack where he punches the ground so hard that he creates a small earthquake. This baby is strong enough to punch away a pile of cars with just one fist.
o Wiz: The Lifter Bunyip is even stronger, being able to lift boulders weighing over 100 tones! The only drawback compared to the original is that it's slower and heavier.
https://youtu.be/Hae3gjhjXg8?si=FowOr56jYOxkS7g1
o Boomstick: This is precisely why you always stick with the original. The Thermo Extreme Bunyip is heat resistant, letting Ty swim through freaking lava! It attacks by rotating its torso and it can shoot coolant cold enough to send lava back to the stone age.
o Wiz: The Shadow Bunyip is the strongest Bunyip in the second Ty installment. It can punch, double jump, glide, and can fire giant goddam lasers!
o Boomstick: With a super Mech Suit and numerous sets of mighty rangs, Ty was a one mammal army, tanking every challenge his enemies would throw at him.
o Wiz: He’s tough enough to survive being hit by a giant saw blade, being crushed by a boulder, and can take hits from a giant boar, shark, dinosaurs, and even robots, all courteous from Boss Cass his hench lizard Fluffy.
o Boomstick: Those two are like the animal version of Shego and Drakken. Plus this Tazzy Tiger is fast enough to keep up with bats, and react fast enough to dodge electricity and missiles. Man, you'd think this guy would never lose anything, ever. But you'd also be super wrong.
https://youtu.be/b4Vv5tC8HQY?si=rYzVW-YkVAefJ2KM
o Wiz: Sadly, Ty has his fair share of downsides. Like before the 4th video game release, he only could stay underwater for a certain period of time, 5 minutes give or take.
o Boomstick: And though he may be smarter than the average Tasimanin, for the most part, Ty usually leaves the planning to his teammates, having a tendency to run in guns blazin', or boomerangs blazin’.
o Wiz: And his grudge against the villainous Boss Cass has allowed him to play with his emotions, forcing him to choose between coming after him or doing the right thing.
o Boomstick: Like saving his friends from immediate danger. Textbook villain stuff.
https://youtu.be/RA0rWicaLDg?si=_r6SBh33oS-SKBNo
https://youtu.be/dCQneh7MsyI?si=OwJF9ReJ7yL128iY
o Wiz: But to his enemies, Ty is a lone wolf and an incredible pain in the neck, but to his friends and community, he is the hero they need and the hero they deserve.
o Boomstick: Who needs a Tasmanian Devil when you’ve got a Tasmanian Tiger. No offense, Ranger Ken but make way for the next generation.
o Wiz: With Ty around, Shazza, Dennis, and the inhabitants of the Southern Rivers couldn't be safer.
o Boomstick: And if you have the guts to face him head on, look out, because you’ll be in for a big surprise and a nasty headache.
o Ty: I sure hope Ranger Ken got our message!
o [A Chopper flys above them with Duke flying it and Ken leaning out giving a thumbs up]
o Shazza: Speek of the Tasmanian Devil! [driving towards the edge of a waterfall]
o Ty: I thought you said this was a short cut?
o Shazza: It is! [drives off the waterfall]
o Ty: Whooooooaaaaa!
Pre-Fight[]
Wiz: All right the combatants are set, lets end this debate once and for all.
Boomstick: It's time for a DEATH BATTLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fight[]
One night in the city of Sydney, Australia, a tall shadowy figure can be seen running across the rooftops of multiple buildings until he arrives at the Australian Museum. The figure is revealed to be none other than the notorious thief Sly Cooper. Sly creeps over to the roof door and tries to pull open the door, but it is locked and an electronic lock device on it.
Sly (through his earpiece): Hey Bentley, I could use a hand here with a lock that needs picking.
Bentley (From the earpiece): No Problem Sly, just give me a few minutes.
Sky steps back and notices the keypad light up and start blinking back and forth until the correct code is entered and the door opens atomically.
Sly: Thanks pal.
Bentley (From the earpiece): Anytime pal, now hurry up and grab that painting. The longer you stick around here, the higher we risk attracting unwanted attention.
Sly: You worry to much pal, I'll be in and out before you know it.
Sly tip toes down the stairs and into the main art gallery. He looks around until he sees the painting he is looking for. He reaches up and carefully takes it off the wall, without setting off the alarm. But before he can make a break for the exit, a boomerang swings past him, making him drop the painting. The boomerang eventually returns to it’s holder, which is the famous Australian Hero, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger.
Ty: Hey you, what are you doing here mate. Don’t you know the museum’s closed.
Sly: Oh my bad, I must have overslept in the bathroom again. Happens a lot actually, i’ll just get out of your hair buddy.
Ty: Not so fast mate, I know who you are, you're the famous thief Sly Cooper.
Sly: Wow, I'm flatter, I didn’t know I was famous even down under.
Ty: You’re the most wanted criminal in the world, of course I know who you are.
Sly: So I’m guessing you are not going let me just walk out of here are you?
Ty: Buddy, if you want to leave this place on your own two legs, you’ll have to get past me first.
Sly: Alright, guess we are doing this the hard way.
Sly pulls out his cane again and Ty grabs out both of his boomerangs.
Ty threw his boomerangs at Sly, but the master thief skillfully does a backflip that allows him to avoid the boomerangs and jump onto of a tall glass container covering a museum item. As Ty caught his returning weapons, he spots Sly leap off the container, ready to bring his cane down on the Tasmanian Tiger's head. But Ty threw one of his boomerangs to left side, making it ricochet off the wall and hit crane, making it move to the side and make Sly miss and make it smack into the ground, getting it stuck. Sly tries to pull out his staff to swing, which he does, but before he could react, Ty threw his other boomerang straight at Sly, landing a hit direct hit to master thief's face. Surprisingly, Sly manages to brush off the attack, and uses his master skill reflexes to dodge the incoming attacks from Ty's Boomerangs. He is then able to catch both boomerangs, one in his hand and the other with the hook of his cane, he throws them both out an open window.
Sly: Oops, sorry, hope those weren't too important to you.
Ty: Other, there's plenty more 'rangs were those came from, mate.
Ty reaches into his bag and pulls out his Smasharang and hurls them at Sly. Sly is able to leap over one of them, but the other hit him in the back of the head, delivering a far heavier blow than the other boomerang, knocking Sly to the floor. As Sly gets to his hands, he sees Ty walking over to him, catching both of his Smasharangs in his hands, and raises them over his head for a powerful Smash attack. But Sly grabs his can and spins it around so that the hook of his cane gets around Ty's leg. Right when Ty notices something around his foot, Sly pulls on his cane and yanks the Tasmanian Tiger off his feet with his cane. Ty falls onto his back, and Sly springs to his feet to hook his cane around Ty's foot again and swings his cane over his head to hurl Ty into the janitors closet.
Sly: Now that that his over, lets get back to it shall we.
Sly scrambles to his feet and goes back to looking through the museum, searching for the painting he had dropped. He then spots it on the floor and goes to pick it up. But right before he catches it, he hears a whirling sound coming from behind him and he does a backflip just as another set of boomerangs come flying past him. He then watch the boomerangs come back to Ty, who is now wielding his Lavarangs.
Ty: Did ya miss me mate, now where were we? Oh Right, I was about to kick your butt.
Ty flings his Lavarangs at the raccoon thief, who quickly used his cane to swat them away. However he soon realized that the boomerangs caused his cane to catch on fire and he waved it around and stomped on it to put out the flames. Right when Ty's Lavarangs came back to his hand, Sly throws his cane like a spear at the Tasmanian tiger and hits him right on the forehead. With Ty dazed from the blow, Sly rushes forward and knocked the ninja across the room with a flying kick to the face, sending Ty's Lavarangs flying out of hid hands. As Ty started to pick himself, up Sly slides in front of him to continue the assault with a massive uppercut, sending Ty stumbling backwards. Luckily he slides back to his Lavarangs and picks them up to throw at Sly again. But Sly does a matrix slide and ducks underneath the Lavarangs and continues to slide before he hits him in the stomach with a knee jab, causing Ty to topple over onto his back.
With the Tasmanian Tiger seemingly defeated, Sly picks up the painting and makes a run for the exit door. However, when he gets there, he sees that the knob and door have melted, making them welded shut. Sly then has a flashback and remembered when Ty threw his Lavarangs in the first place, he dodged them, but they hit the door instead, shielding his only way out. As the raccoon thief looks around for another way out, he sees that Ty is starting to wake back up, and he grabs the painting and makes a run for the entrance door of the exhibit, with Ty in hot pursuit.
We cut to a staircase that leads to different levels of the museum, and Sly burst through the of the 5th floor and heads down the stairs with Ty right behind. Ty gets ready to hurl his Lavarangs at the racoon thief, but Sly shuffles through his belt and pulls out a Flash and Smoke bomb. He first throws the Flash Bomb right at Ty, which admits a bright blinding light that causes Ty to temporarily go blind and throw his boomerangs wildly, missing his intended target. As he continues after the raccoon thief, he picks up his fallen weapons and prepares to throw them again. But he ends up stepping on a smoke bomb that Sly had hidden on the step, causing a big cloud of smoke to burst all around him. As the smoke clears, Ty sees that it was a diversion so that Sly could escape.
Ty: What the...were did you go?
TY looks around him and sees a smoke trial of foot prints heading to thew next floor. Ty burst through the door and looks around to see where the raccoon thief might have gone. As he passes through a series of mannikins, he notices one looks exactly like Sly, who is wearing a disguise to hide himself. With fast reflexes, Ty spins around and hurls his Lavarangs right at the mannikins, particularly at the ones that looks like Sly. Realizing that his cover is blown, Sly leaps out of the away to avoid the boomerangs, throwing off his costume as he makes a run for cover. Spotting a tall model tree next to him, Sly slices through it with his cane causing it to come falling down at Ty. Ty throws his boomerangs and slices the model tree, which allows Sly to come in front of Ty for a blind attack. As Sly performs a Foot Dive, Ty opens his mouth and chomps down on Ty's feet before throwing him away from him. As Sly struggles to his feet, Ty runs up and land a punch with his right hand cover in ice, for he now was wielding his Frostyrang. Sly rose to his feet and cracked his neck while Ty twirled his boomerangs in his hands.
Ty: Any chance your ready to give that painting back mate?
Sly: Nope. Any chance you'd be willing to take a five minute break.
Ty: And let you make a run for it while I'm distracted, forget about it.
Sly: Worth a shout.
Sly lunges at the Tasmanian tiger with his cane, but Ty hurls his Frostyrangs at the ground, covering some of the floor in ice. This causes Sly to slip and slide off balance and easily get slammed in the face by Ty's boomerangs. Sly skids to a stop as he turns around to throw a cane whack at Ty's face, only for the Tasmanian Tiger to catch Sly's cane in his mouth and flip him over his shoulder. As Sly lands on his feet, he sees that his cane is still in Ty mouth and hooks it in his mouth and throws him over his shoulder. Sly then looks at his cane, disgusted to see that it is cover in saliva.
Sly: Dude, when was the las time you brushed your teeth.
TY quickly get to his feet hurls his Frostyrangs trying to hit Donatello, but the raccoon thief easily dodged the first boomerang and then caught the second one with his cane. However, the Frostyrang ends up freezing the top part of his cane, as well as Sly's hands to the cane, making him flop to the ground. With Sly trapped, Ty follows up with a whack to the head from his boomerang and then a kick to the stomach, smashing the ice around him but dazing him as well. After he got back up, Ty zoomed forward and headbutted Sly, knocking him across the room. But Sly is able to land on his feet next to the entrance to the stairs, making a run for it.
Ty: Oi! You, ratbag! Get back here!
Ty runs after his opponent as the leader of the Cooper Gang made his way to the top of the building. As he reaches the top floor, he see Sly heading for the nears open window, so he hurls his Frostyrangs at the window, freezing it solid and preventing his escape. Ty begins running across the room to catch up with Sly, but he sets off several explosives mines Sly placed across the floor. The bombs go off and the floor breaks apart and, causing Ty to fall through the hole made by them. But Ty pulls out his Lasharangs and hurls the hooked ropes at the floor edges, hooking onto them and pulling himself back up.
Ty: Nice try mate
Pulling himself up and leaping into the air at high speed and at a remarkably high altitude, Ty does a backflip over Sly as he lands behind the raccoon thief. Though Sly is able to roll to the side and avoid the Lasharangs, one wraps around his foot and makes him trip as it comes back to Ty. Ty hurls his weapons at the downed thief, by Sly slide out of the way and twirls his cane out in front of him to counter the retaliating weapons. Ty hurls his Lasharangs at Sly, who sits his cane upright as they wrap around it. But Ty wanted this to happen to snare up the boomerangs, before yanking the cane hard and pulling Ty towards him and allowing him to kick him in the face.
Ty: Carmalita was right about you, mate. You are stubborn.
Sly: She said about me, cute. Did she say anything else.
Ty: That's your incredible annoying and a pain in her tail.
Sly Cooper What can I say, I'm a ladies man.
Sly then grabs a fallen shield of the floor and runs for the frozen mirror and smashes his way out. Ty runs after him and looks out the window, seeing Sly creep across the narrow ledge and climb up up a roof drainage pipe toward the roof. Ty climbs out the window and uses his boomerangs to climb up the wall after him, as both furry men race to get to the top first. When Ty finally reaches the roof, he sees Sly with the painting on his back and with his Paraglider. The leader of the Cooper gang gives the Tasmanian tiger a sarcastic wink before he leaps of the roof of the building and glides away to safety. Sly looks behind him thinking he is home free, but is shocked to see Ty gliding after him on his new boomerangs.
Ty: Oi, I'm not done with you yet, mate.
The two glide all around the massive building on their gliders, making several curves around the museum as Ty chases after Sly, Eventually the Tasmanian tiger gets close enough and tackles into the leader of the Cooper Gang right through a window. They crash through the window and land in an exhibit filled with costumes, props, and armors from various eras in time. As Sly gets to his feet, he ears a sound coming from his earpiece.
Bentley: Sly, can you hear me, Sly say something.
Sly: I read you Bentley, load and well...very Loud.
Bentley: What happen to you, you when dark all of a sudden.
Sly: I hit a bit of a complication. Some guy with Boomerangs jumped me, and now I'm in a exhibit filled with a bunch of costumes.
Bentley: Maybe you can use that to your advantage and access some of your abilities with the right costumes.
Sly: Right as you always are Bentley. Sly Out.
As Ty gets to his feet, he spots Sly sorting through a series of costumes on display. He pulls out his Lavarangs and hurls them at the raccoon thief, only for them to get bounced off by Sly's new samurai armor.
Ty: How did you...
Sly: Not the first time I've worn a suit of armor, but the best part is that it's fire resistant.
Ty: First breaking and enter, then stealing, now destruction of private property is their any crime you haven't committed.
Sly: Well I haven't killed anyone, so no Murder.
Snorting in annoyance, Ty pulls out his Zappyrangs and hurls them at Sly, but his armor protects him from the weapons. Ty tries it again several times, but Sly runs away as his armor deflects the boomerangs off his body. Seeing that his physical weapons are not working, Ty runs up and bites down on Sly's arm and starts shacking him like a ragdoll. This causes the armor to fling off before Ty throws Sly into a model western jail cell. As Sly get back up, now in his Jailbird Costume, he sees Ty leaping at him with his mouth wide open. Swiftly, Sly lift up the heavy iron ball chained to him and throws it at Ty. Though the Tasmanian Tiger is able to catch it, the iron ball is so big and heavy that it ends up being lodged in his mouth and making him fall to the ground.
With his enemy struggling to get the ball out of his mouth, Sly pulls on the chain and yanks TY towards him and he performs a roundhouse kick, hitting him in the chest and sending him flying back as he spits the iron ball out of his mouth. Ty crashes through a wardrobe and when he comes out, he is wearing a ridiculous looking dress. After he tears off the dress, he sees Sly rolling towards him on the iron ball, so he leaps out of the way, but Sly curves the ball around to come after him. Ty pulls out his his Zoomerangs, narrows in on the chaining connecting the ball and Sly and throws the Boomerang right at it, cutting through the chain. This causes Sly to loose his balance on the ball and fall off of it, rolling underneath as the iron ball slams right through the wall of the building.
Ty: You're not getting away that easy, mate.
Ty goes after him and ends up in another room filled with costumes. Ty walking quietly through the dark room looking for Sly, as he steps over a skinned pelt of a Sabertooth Tiger. Unbeknownst to him, the pelt is really Sly in his Sabretooth Costume playing dead to trick his opponent as he walks past him. Right as Ty walks past him, Sly jumps up and grabs him by the shoulders to hurl him over his back. Ty lands on his feet, only to be meet with slash from Sly's costume's claws. Ty whacks him over the head with his boomerangs and goes in for a bite, but Sly easily leaps away and grabs hold of the light post above him. Sly then leaps off the lights and performs a body slam onto of Ty, flattening him to ground.
Ty: Ya know, for a slim guy, you weigh a lot.
Sly: Are you calling me fat? Rude much.
With enough force, Ty is able to push Sly off of him. Ty pulls a brand new pair of Flamerangs and hurls them at Sly. But Sly does a backflip and is able to avoid the boomerangs as they slam and get caught on prop ornament.
Sly: Ha, now this time you missed me for sure.
Ty: Bummer, looks like I did. By the way, your tail's on fire.
At first Sly smirks at the comment, but he soon feels a burning sensation and sees smoke coming from behind him. He turns his head and sees that both his tail and the tail of his costume are on fire. Sly screams as he starts running around in circles, before pealing off his Sabretooth costume and throwing it away before the fire engulfs the entire costume into ashes. Sly is then taken by surprise from a drop kick from time that launches him into a wardrobe again. When he pops out again, he is now in his archer costume.
Ty: Where do keeping finding these costumes?
Sly: What can I say, I'm a man of fashion.
Sly then pulls out an arrow and fires it from his bow, forcing Ty to duck for cover behind a wooden outhouse. As Ty attempts to sneak away, he is suddenly hot with a barrage of arrows fired from Sly, forcing him to hide behind the outhouse again. Ty pokes his head out from behind the outhouse and has a boomerang ready to throw in his hand. But before he can throw it, an arrow zooms by and hits the boomerang out of his hands, crusade of Sly perched on a small model castle, and his excellent aim. Sly takes aim with his bow and fires another arrow at Ty, hitting him in his hand and making him retreat again.
Ty wraps up his hand to close up the injury, and pull of his Multirang. Ty leaps out from his hiding place and throws the two Multirangs, which split up into four different boomerangs, flying in different directions. Sly tries desperately to hit all the incoming targets with his arrows, but they are all coming in faster than he can pinpoint. He is able to hit three of the boomerangs with his arrows, but he missed one and it heads right for a chandelier above him, cutting it loose and causing it to fall right towards him. This forces Sly to jump from his perch before the chandelier can flatten him, but he falls right towards Sly and he is able to get one shot at the Tasmanian tiger, making fall to the ground. As Sly dabs in victory as he lands next to to his "defeated" foe, miraculously, Ty gets back up, having caught the arrow in his teeth, and snaps the arrow in half like a toothpick. He then flips over and kicks backwards to strike the Racoon thief squarely in the chest, right before lunging right towards him, teeth first. Sly is forced to use his bow as a shield to protect himself, and he then shoved the bow deep into Ty's mouth, lodging it in and allow him to spin kick Ty in the face to force him away. Sly makes a run for a pile of clothes and starts searching threw them, while Ty pulls the bow out of his mouth and snaps it in two with his knee.
Ty: Enough with the wardrobe changes, mate.
Sly: Out, maybe just one more.
Sly, now in his Arabian Thief Costume, pulls out his Hourglass Staff and twirls it around his head. Unimpressed, Ty hurls his four Multirangs at the leader of the Cooper Gang, who stomps the staff onto the ground. This causes everything around Sly starts to go in slow motion as time begins to slow down. This allows him to easily slide around the boomerangs, and walks right up to Ty and whack him in the face with his staff. Time then begins to speed up and Ty goes hurling across the floor. Getting back up, Ty lunges forward to chomp at Sly, but he pulls the same trick again and slows down time. Not only is Sly able to easily walk away from the attack, but he picks up a barrel and places it in front of Ty, so when time picks back up again, the Tasmanian Tiger ends up biting the barrel instead of Sly. Ty chomps down on the barrel, shattering it, but ends up with pieces of wood in his mouth, which he spits out.
Ty: How are you doing that.
Sly: Sorry, no time to explain, it's time for me to bounce.
Ty: Time...eh?
As Sly picks up the painting and makes a run for the nearest window, Ty pulls out a new pair of boomerangs and hurls them at Sly. Sly hits the ground with his staff to slow down time, hoping it will give him time to escape. However, these are Ty's Chronorang's and they cause everything around them to slow down as well, including Sly. Before he realize what its happening, one of the Chronorangs hits him in back as he slams into the window, while the other hits the gems on his staff, breaking it and speeding time back to normal. Not affected by the Chronorangs, Ty leaps at Sly and tackles him out the window, and the the two start falling towards a wide open water fountain. As Sly struggles break free from Ty's grip, he spots something zooming towards him, revealing to be the Jetpack he took from Carmalita. Sly then kicks himself free from Ty's grip and he uses his cane to reach out and pull the incoming Jetpack to him and straps himself into it before he switches it from Autopilot to manual.
Bentley: I had a feeling you might need some extra fire power, so sent you a care package.
Sly: Thanks pal, I owe you one.
Bentley: Actually you owe you me at least 90 ones.
Sly: Keeping track are we?
Bentley: Somebody has too.
As Ty lands on the ground, he turns around and sees Sly hovering above him on his Jetpack. Sly then starts to fire multiple missiles at him, putting the Tasmanian Tiger on the run. As Ty is fleeing, he then notices his Shadow Bunyip and runs towards it. He jumps into the Shadow Battle Bunyip and starts to operate it. He then spots a nearby car, picks it up, and hurls it towards Sly, which the racoon thief dodges by flying the Jetpack in a different direction. Using his boosters, Ty leaps up on his Battle Bunyip to try and grab Sly, but he zooms out of the way and fires more missiles at the battle mech. But Ty uses the Bunyip's metal arms as cover to shield himself. Ty lifts up his Bunyip's metal arm and fires a laser from the arm, which Ty is able to dodge.
Ty continues to fire his laser from his Bunyip, but Sly's jetpack is able to user its speed to maneuver across the air to avoid the laser fire. He then is able to get above Ty's head and drops one of his bombs bellow him. The blast from the bomb causes the Bunyip to shake and make Ty tumbles backwards into the side of the building. Sly hovers in close to the fallen Bunyip Battle and aims his missiles at the Ty, but he immediately gets back up and aims his laser at Sly. Seeing his foe back on his feet, Sly turns around on his jetpack and flies off into the air. But Ty aims his laser at Sly and fire, shooting his jetpack and damaging it. The jetpack starts to go haywire and send the master thief spinning out of control in the air, screaming. Sly unstraps himself from the jetpack and falls to the ground, right when the jetpack crashes into the side of the building.
Ty: Time to shake things up a bit.
Ty then activates a button on his Battle Bunyip, making it slam into the ground, creating a shockwave that sends Sly flying into the nearby water fountain. As Sly struggles to stay a float, Ty leaps off the edge of the fountain and into the water, dragging the raccoon thief down with him. Sly struggles to free himself, but the more he fought, the more air he uses up. Ty grabs the painting from Sly's back and then drop kicks him further into the water, before pulling out his Aquarangs, and hurls them at Sly, pinning him to the bottom of the fountain. Ty then swims back to the surface, leaving Sly to drown below the surface. As Ty pulls himself out of the fountain with the painting in hand, just as the cops arrive on scene.
Results[]
Boomstick: Well at least he caught the thief, too bad it cost him a very expensive painting.
Wiz: Both anthropomorphic were skilled in combat, but Ty's superior strength and unpredictable weaponry gave him the leg up he needed.
Boomstick: Although both of them were more than capable of completing any task on their own, Sly was more of a team player, relying on his gang to get him out of tough situations, which is most of the time.
Wiz: Sly's gadgets may have come in handy when it came to breaking and enter, and his costumes gave him an edge in battle, but Ty had a weapon to counter whatever the master thief threw at him. He had a boomerang for nearly every occasion Sly had in store for him, including his Chronorangs to counteract Sly's thief costumes.
Boomstick: Plus there was noting in Sly's arsenal that could take down Ty's Battle Bunyip. Not even the Jetpack he "borrowed" from his foxy cop girlfriend could take down a mechanical monstrosity like the Bunyip. Even in his battle with Clockwork, the jetpack had to his the bionic bird multiple times even make a dent in it, while Ty's Battle Bunyip could take down giant mutated lizards.
Wiz: While Sly may have more tensive training thanks to his ancestors teaching, Ty was tough and fast enough to keep up with him, thanks to his own training experience.
Boomstick: And above all thing, Sly is a thief, not a warrior like Ty, meaning he couldn't afford to fight his foes head on with risking serious injuries, while Ty could, provide he had a plan of attack.
Wiz: To sum it up, Sly had the speed and stealth, they both had the bravery, but Ty had the strength, durability, the weaponry needed to come out on top.
Boomstick: He may have been master thief, by Sly couldn't "Ty" up his escape and the raccoon in the end that went extinct.
Wiz: The winner is Ty the Tasmanian Tiger
