The Basics[]
- Connections: Both are humanoid demons, originating from the Internet, from a far away past who sense and manipulate the fear in others using their powers, who dig into their victims' lives using extrasensory perception and who have set out on an ultimate quest to reap the souls of whoever comes across their path, using tendrils and powers of pure darkness.
- Sources: Betty will be completely composited, only excluding Interlopers due to it being confirmed non-canon. The Slender Man will be mostly composited, but his most powerful incarnations (eg. the nearly metaphysical ones who transcend String Theory dimensions and whose true form is a mathematical equation, and his Pastamonsters version) will be left out for fairness's sake.
- Host Bios:
- Greg: Sporting short hair dyed gray, Greg is the Boomstick of the host panel. He's an idiot and a weirdo 1st class, who loves hot girls and lacks the ability to resist trying to flirt with them right off the bat. 16 years old, Greg "wastes" most of his time having epic gamer moments. In other words, he is a role model for all of us, no? [Greg's text is in bold.]
- Zoë: A girl with long, light brown hair who loves screwing around. Always frisky and playful, Zoë does her best keeping the atmosphere happy and bright, and she cannot resist trolling her follow hosts. Her eyes too, are a pure black. At 14 years old, Zoë is the youngest host, but her knowledge of anime, manga and derivations thereof always impresses her friends. [Zoë's text has no special styling]
- Zack: At 17 years, Zack is the oldest of the hosts, and additionally the most serious, too. He just wants to get the episode done and over with. Due to this, as well as his nerdy calculation skills and daily dose of obscure and random facts, Zack is consistently the target of his friends' memeing and jokes. Zack loves reading comics and graphic novels, possessing a huge stockpile of them in his Comic Vault. Zack wears glasses and dyed his hair pure white, because why not? [Zack's text is in italic.]
- Melissa: A 15-year old girl with long hair dyed a crimson red and mascara, who always suffers from her horrible temper and unpolite attitude. Swearing and curses are part of her everyday vocabulary, and she commonly trolls her friends when they annoy her, even if not directly. Melissa specializes in movies and TV series (excl. anime), and has extensive knowledge of weapons and magic, which she has herself studied. Despite pestering him all the time, Melissa secrectly has a crush on Zack and admires him for his knowledge. Not that she would ever admit this however. She's way too proud for that. The Slender Mythos VS Glitchtale! Which of these sadistic, humanoid demons with a lust for blood and souls will scare the other to death?
Interlude[]
Melissa: Fear.
Greg: One of the most primitive senses of mankind, that has always existed to tell the human when it's time to pack yo' bags and get the fuck outta there.
Zoë: Mankind possesses so many fears, but the most common ones are of the unknown. Beings that we never knew existed...
Zack: ...beings that feed themselves with our fear, and bend it to their will.
Melissa: Yep, and about now I'd say it's time to cut it with this bullshit and get to the point already.
Zack: Yeah, namely that today on Death Battle, two collectors of souls, who depend on our fear, will face off in a battle to the death.
Greg: On one end of the ring, we have the Slender Man, the faceless terror with an ever-so fancy tuxedo...
Zoë: And on the other awaits Betty Noire, the Soul of FEAR from Glitchtale.
Greg: I'm Greg, and these are my ever-so-epic friends: Zoë, Zack, and Melissa.
Melissa: And today, we'll analyze the combatants' armour, weapons and skills, to find out who would win...

The Death Battle[]
⦋31 October 201X. Minneapolis, Minnesota, US.⦌
Fittingly, it was a dark night on Halloween. In a quiet, deserted part of downtown Minneapolis, a group of three kids, two girls and one boy, went from apartment to apartment. Or flat to flat, if you'd prefer. The two girls were dressed respectively as a witch and a devil, and the boy was a skeleton, as we could see bones printed on his black costume. In their hands were baskets in the shape of pumpkins, containing their loot: Ever so many sweets, candy and chocolate, supplemented with cookies. Or biscuits, as you can have it your way, pal.
The trio had just returned from an apartment and was walking down the street. The street was dark, only the illumination from a lamppost excluded. Under the lightbulb stood a figure, the children noticed. Although initially scared, their fears quickly washed away to oblivion when they made out that said figure was but a cute, adorable little girl, roughly their age. She swiftly turned to face them, and it was clear she was a very vibrant person. "Oh! Hi there!", she almost sung, as the three children approached.
"Hey! What is your name?", one of the girls asked. "Name's Betty. Betty Noire.", replied the girl in the pink attire. "Cool name!", says the boy. "Sounds French!". "Yeah, my ancestry lies in Europe.", Betty replied. "Say, what are your names?" — "Oh, drat, I'm sorry about that. I totally forgot!", said the girl who iniated the convo. "Name's Nina." "Kaylee", said the other girl. "I'm Dylan, nice to meet ya.", said the boy as the finisher. All three of the children are oblivious to a pink mass watching them from within the shadows.
"Seems like you've gathered quite some prizes!", Betty cheered. "Yeah, we got alot of candy this year", Kaylee says. "How about you?", she continued. "Me? Oh... I don't have any sweets.", said Betty, with a somewhat sad sounding tone. "Don't worry, you can have some of ours!", said Nina. Betty smiled right away, in a manner that looked cute, yet menacing. "I'd be glad to! Hold on, let me take some right AWAY!"
With a snap of her fingers, several pink, blubbery creatures emerged from the shadows and pinned the kids into the lamppost using their sticky body. Out of the blobs' body extruded sharp spikes, as the three children screamed in total terror. "Oh, dear, I must've forgotten to mention that I don't like candy! I prefer souls instead!", exclaimed Betty. "Happy Halloween!", she finally finished, as the blobs were about to stab the kids.
Just as they prepared to meet their demise, something... peculiar happened. All of a sudden, all of the blobs caught on fire for no apparent reason. Within seconds, they had burnt to a blubbery, fluid mess. The kids sighed in relief, before fainting right in front of Betty. Black tentacles shot out of the darkness and wrapped itself around the kids, pulling them into the air before they slowly became transparent and vanished from Betty's sight.
"Huh?"
Betty looked around her, and finally saw the cause of this bizarre fuckery. At the other side of the street stood a tall, lanky, humanoid figure. Its skin was gray, and its head was void of hair, ears and a face. Dressed in a fancy business suit, the creature slowly started walking Betty's way. After what seemed like an eternity, it finally stops in the middle of the street.
Betty had issues comprehending just what had happened. "W-what are you?", she asked. "...H-hey, those kids were MINE! Give them back!" — Not exactly looking forward to competition, Slender Man instead takes a fighting stance and prepares to deal with this terrible excuse of a murderer. She'd be far better off as a Proxy. Realizing the creature wasn't just going to oblige, Betty prepared to fight him as well.
