Description[]
Nintendo vs Dark Horse Comics! Majora's Mask vs The Mask of Loki! In a battle between wearers possessed by evil masks that force the user to do bad things, who will win? Will toonforce triumph over raw, magical might?
Interlude[]
Counter: Masks conceal many things. Your face, for one, but only rarely is a mask used to bring something out. And even rarer is a mask bringing out evil.
Kaiya: Skull Kid. Puppet of Majora and corrupted by Majora's Mask.
Damien: And The Mask, Dark Horse Comics' toony, brutal murderer.
Counter: I'm Counter and these are my partners Damien, Kai and Hannah!
Hannah: And we've taken over from Wiz and Boomstick to analyse their weapons, armour and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.
Skull Kid[]
Counter: Majora's Mask is much more dangerous than you'd expect.
Kaiya: How? It's a love heart with a face, what's so dangerous about that?
Counter: Don't let looks decieve you. Majora's Mask holds a deep, disturbing and dark secret. The Mask is an ancient artifact used by an ancient tribe, for bewitching rituals. However, the Mask's wicked and, frankly, evil power meant it had to be sealed away to prevent the land of Termina from catastrophe.
Kaiya: And it happened to fall within the hands of the Happy Mask Salesman. This is just a recipe for disaster, isn't it?
Damien: Yeah, well, on a journey to search for Masks, the Happy Mask Salesmen was ambushed and attacked by the Skull Kid and his friends, Tatl and Tael. While the salesmen was unconscious, the Skull Kid stole it and was corrupted by its evil powers. When the Skull Kid donned the Mask, it changed him. It turned him from a mischevious creature that loves to pull pranks, into a rampaging, malicious, evil monster. Not literally, but, well, you know.
Hannah: Majora's Mask pulled the Moon down to Termina, and, when it hit, would destroy the Clock Town along with the rest of Termina. So natrually, the Hero of Time, Link was forced to defeat and retrieve the Mask, and prevent Termina's destruction. The Mask had taken over Skull Kid's mind, and Link was forced to clean up the mess.
Counter: Don't mistake us, though, Majora's Mask is the Skull Kid, and still harbours its powers. The Skull Kid is merely a puppet, and the Mask can abandon it anytime. Anyway, the Skull Kid is very proficient in curses, able to trap even Link inside of a Deku Scrub with relative ease.
Kaiya: Majora can take control of a person's mind, corrupting it and forcing the host to do evil. Skull Kid can turn adults back into children, float in the air and even flood rooms with light, enough to momentarily blind Link!
Damien: Skull Kid can corrupt the time and space of Termina and sense Link looking at him from the Astral Observatory, but Skull Kid...is kind of a limiter for Majora's power. Majora even states that Skull Kid has 'far too many weaknesses' to use its power. When Majora seperates from Skull Kid, well, he becomes a whole new kind of dangerous.
Hannah: The mask can sprout weird tentacle things to use as weapons, or to go Beyblade and spin towards Link like a saw, able to knock him over in one hit. Majora's Mask can talk on its own, create portals, fire laser beams with light-based properties or shapeshift into other forms.
Counter: As Majora's Incarnation, Majora sprouts arms and legs, and runs fast enough to create afterimages.
Kaiya: He can even moonwalk! Look at him go! Billie Jean is not my lover...she's just a girl that says I am the one-
Damien: Focus, Kai. Anyway, as the Incarnation form, Majora can throw energy balls really freaking fast, that can stun people for a short time if they're hit by it, but if running away isn't enough, he bulks up and becomes...Majora's Wrath!
Hannah: As Majora's Wrath, Majora can use its arms as a whip, fling Link across the chamber they fought in. This form is great at keeping foes at a distance. Especially when it can launch spinning, spiked tops as an attack out of nothing, and also go Beyblade to attack. Outside of the final boss, Majora can seal its enemies, like the Four Giants.
Counter: Majora is super powerful. Able to fight pretty evenly with Link if the Fierce Deity mask isn't concerned. Also, the lasers that Majora fired are actual lasers, and should move at the speed of light. It has a consistent speed, moves in a straight line and burns instead of explodes, so it should be considered as moving at light speed.
Kaiya: And Link was able to outpace these same lasers. Majora can keep up with Link, ergo, Majora can also react at lightspeed or higher, and that is super fast!
Damien: In terms of power, the Skull Kid pulled the moon closer to Termina, with the intent to destroy all of it. We could calc the energy needed to do that, but we don't have to, since the impact of the moon would destroy all of Termina if Link wouldn't stop him, and the fact that Termina should be as big as a universe, calculating it is pretty pointless.
Hannah: How do we know that Termina is as big as a universe? Well, in the Instruction Booklet, and in other pieces of media, it is stated that Termina is a parallel world to Hyrule. Not the Kingdom of Hyrule, but the land of Hyrule. The land of Hyrule is used to describe the Hyrule universe, instead of just the castle and castle town.
Counter: Couple that with the fact that there are stars in the sky and that there's extraterrestrial life, it's pretty clear that Termina is at least as big as a universe. Which means that Majora can pack a universal punch!
Kaiya: And Skull Kid is able to transform the land of Termina through Majora's power, a universal-sized land. Majora can laugh off attacks from Link, who is on a comparable level to Majora, i.e, universal. To put it simply...Majora is insane! In more ways than one!
Damien: Right. Majora is completely insane, which leads him to play around with his enemies than actually defeat them. They're overconfident, and was more into playing a twisted game with Link than actually, y'know...killing him.
Hannah: And Majora's overconfidence leads them to make pretty stupid tactical decisions, such as giving Link the Fierce Deity mask, a very powerful artefact that can defeat them pretty fast, further enhancing the idea that Majora...isn't all there.
Counter: And in a fight, Majora prefers to mess around, like with Majora's Incarnation, which dances to taunt Link, runs around aimlessly and only has one kind of attack. Rest assured, Majora is one of the most depraved and evil villains in the Legend of Zelda franchise, and possibly one of its most dangerous.
("A puppet that can no longer be used is mere garbage. This puppet's role has just ended...")
The Mask[]
Counter: Inside all of us, as a part of our personality, our id exists, the source of bodily needs and wants, emotional impulses and desires, especially that of an aggressive or sexual nature. It's a dark, inaccessable part of our personality. But what if wearing a mask could tap into that id and bring it out?
Kaiya: We all wear invisible masks to our personality, taking up a more...hmm, socially accepted persona. But when someone wears the Mask of Loki, all of that changes. No-one knows where the mask came from, or how it was created. One theory is that is was used as a part of an African tribal ritual, while others disagree, believing it to be created by Loki, the Norse god of mischief.
Damien: But whatever your beliefs are, the mask is dangerous. It changes anyone into a crazed lunatic..with powers that rival Bugs Bunny! The mask is alive, and wants nothing more than chaos. Stanley Ipkiss was an unfortunate victim of the mask. Weak and neurotic, Stanley discovered the mask while shopping for a gift for his girlfriend.
Hannah: The mask started to speak to Stanley, urging him, convincing him to put it on. When is wrapped itself around Stanley's head, it changed every aspect of him. This was Big Head, as dubbed by the media. With large teeth and a green head, The Mask acted on Stanley's deepest desires, and enacted revenge against everyone who wronged him. This was The Mask. And for everyone who hasn't read the comics, get ready, this is not like the PG movie or cartoon.
Counter: Indeed. Instead of taking on the mob and getting the girl, The Mask ran rampant and went on a violent killing spree, corrupting Stanley's mind. After he died, the mask travelled from owner to owner, but the result was always the same, an evil cartoon character!
Kaiya: What do we mean by cartoon character? Well, The Mask has an interesting quirk. It grants the user complete control of 'toonforce', which lets him do almost anything he wants! He can stretch his limbs, shapeshift his entire body and do almost anyhing he finds funny.
Damien: So basically bad SpongeBob. Anyway, The Mask can bend the laws of physics into doing anything he wants, including breaking the fourth wall. Oh boy, I think I can see where this is going.
Hannah: He can detach his head from his body with no injury whatsoever, inflate his body like a balloon, use his eyes as binoculars like Bender from Futurama or even...uh, do something like this.
Counter: Ewww. Gross. He can even stop himself from falling...while not having a hold on anything. It just makes you wonder if you'd ever do anything like that.
Kaiya: Are-Are you asking me? Because I have a mas-
Counter: In any case, The Mask can break reality in more ways than just shapeshifting. He also has access to what many debaters call 'Hammerspace'. Basically, think of pulling literally anything out of your pockets at will. Anything from anvils to rocket launchers, or an amalgamation of every weapon that can do damage ever, like in the movie!
Kaiya: But if he's feeling lazy, he can create them out of nothing! He has created guns, jackhammers, battle axes, smoke...sure, a bottomless cup of coffee, which he then spilled and flooded the building he was in with, and even several layers of his head. No, really.
Damien: He can create hammers and freaking nukes, and even your traditional cartoon bombs! But his reality warping powers extend far past this! He turned a balloon into a tommy gun, inspiring the scene from the movie. He's turned a cigarette into a bomb, and even turned his fingerprints into traditional horror monsters like Frankenstein or a mummy!
Hannah: He's even turned his disembodied head into a bomb. In short, The Mask can do crazy things. However, toonforce isn't the only thing the mask grants its wearer. They become a tank, capable of surviving nuclear explosions, bombs that sent him flying out of a house, and this barrage of bullets and explosives.
Counter: The Mask has even been turned to ash and eventually walked out just fine. He doesn't even need to wait for his body to heal. It just kinda happens. He doesn't have a very fast healing factor or anything like that, his toonforce just refuses to let him take damage. Like The Mask himself says, he doesn't have to wait for his body to regrow, which gave him an emormous advantage over Lobo, the bastitch that ate a friggin city!
Kaiya: Hell, while The Mask and Lobo fought, they circled the planet...numerous times!
Counter: Which, given the timeframe and distance they'd have to be moving, means that The Mask can move at over 9,635,088 meters per second! That's over Mach 28,000!
Kaiys: And at the end of their duel, Lobo and the Ultimate Bastitch created this HUGE explosion!.
Counter: Which would be about 322 teratons of TNT.
Damien: Damn! Even disregarding this, The Mask is one fast guy! He can run fast enough to set the ground on fire, or appear as a blur. He can dodge point-blank shotgun fire, push over a building to make building dominoes!
Hannah: But perhaps one of the more dangerous aspects about The Mask's toonforce is...well, how it works.
Kaiya: Well, yeah, have you not seen Bugs Bunny? That guy is freakin incredible!
Counter: No, Kai, Hannah is right. Because, while you say The Mask is just an evil Bugs Bunny, he's actually a lot different. While normal toonforce and its effects apply to both the user and the victim, in the canon of The Mask...well, let's just say that's not how it works. When The Mask uses toonforce, it only applies to him and him alone.
Kaiya: So, when he tries to stick a muffler up your ass, you will feel it just like normal people, and when he twirls you around in a dance, you'll feel nauseous and puke instead of having fun. So, yeah, that's kinda terrifying.
Damien: With how awesome and crazy this guy is, how could he ever lose? This kind of seems one-sided, doesn't it?
Hannah: Well, not exactly. Even though The Mask corrupts its wearer, the person's conscioussness still exists behing the green head and big teeth, and can be reasoned with or tricked into taking the mask off. This is important, as the only way the mask can come off the user is if...well, they decide to let it come off. Using force to remove the mask just doesn't work.
Counter: And The Mask usually doesn't think about his actions before he performs them, is really, extremely insane, reckless and impulsive. However, no matter the weaknesses, no matter the odds, The Mask will always come out in top, bathed in blood and laughing all the same!
("It's party time! P-A-R-T-Why? Because I...gotta!")
Intermission[]
Counter: Alright, the combatants are set. You guys ready to do this?
Damien: Yeah!
Kaiya: Count me in!
Hannah: Of course.
Counter: Then it's time to settle this debate once and for all...IN A DEATH BATTLE!
Death Battle[]
A man in a bright yellow suit and tie was strolling down the street. Dancing to a tune only he saw. His arms twirled to the music, rolling over each other in a not-so-subtle reference. With a green head and giant teeth, he strutted down the roads of Clock Town, populated by Hylians.
"Ha!" He exclaimed, pointing his fingers in a gun shape towards a Hylian. "Bang." Out of his fingers, to many people's shock, a bullet fired out of his fingers at high speeds, rocketing towards the target. The Hylian let out a shriek, but the bullet entered his body all the same. Blood spurted out of the Hylian's chest and they fell to the ground like a marionette with its strings cut. The man with a green head let out a snicker, before walking by, smile wider than it was before.
This man was The Mask, and as he turned to another Hylian, pointing a finger gun at them, he giggled slightly.
"Snoooooze," He stated simply, firing at them with a grin. The Hylian collapsed, a pool of blood slowly forming onto the ground. The Mask's fingers smoked from the shot. Bringing his fingers up to his mouth, he blew to cool down his fingers and to clear the black cloud. "Ssssssssmokin'!"
The Hylians around him screamed and ran away as soon as he came close, and The Mask could do nothing but grin. However, the Hylians didn't run away from him. There was someone behind him, floating above the ground. Cold, hard intimidation spread through the town.
"Take off the mask and give it." Came from a cold voice behind him. With a cartoonish noise, The Mask twisted around. His jaw hit the ground with enough force to crack the ground. When his jaw retracted back to normal, The Mask put on a smile, and clapped his hands together.
"Hahahahahaha! Death Battle, is this the lucky victim?" The person floating above the ground was known only as Majora. Its eyes were wide and the mask was purple, with markings everywhere around it. It was...ancient, to say the least. Majora snapped their fingers, and The Mask's body started to twist up. Letting out a yell, the unmistakable sounds of bones cracking spread throughout the town. His own arms constricted him, binding him in place.
"Ow! ...This guy's incorrigible." The Mask stated simply, seemingly without pain or agony at all. Still floating, Majora displayed no emotion, they just stared down at the man in the mask.
"Hand me that mask, or feel the pain of your destruction." The Mask just smugly looked up at him, almost rolling his eyes.
"I think he wants to communicate!" The man in the green mask laughed, untwisting back to normal in an instant. Majora, taking Skull Kid's body, leaned backwards slightly, as if...surprised. They crashed to the ground and walked closer to The Mask, before flicking them in the forehead, and sending him off into the distance.
The Mask flew high over the town, pulling out a cigarette and lighting it quickly. Taking a quick puff, he splattered onto the ground in a field, squished flat like a pancake. Peeling himself off the grass and taking a look around, puffing from the cigarette all the same, unamused.
"You'd think a guy like that would be a little more flashy." He told himself. He didn't have much time to continue, as beyond the speed of light, Majora crashed to the ground in front of him and snatched the cigarette from The Mask's hand and crushed it in his hand.
With an exclamation mark above his face, The Mask let out a comical scream, skull flying out of his face, followed by his eyes flying out of his skull. Majora was ready to fight, but The Mask was clearly having fun with this.
"I have corrupted all of space and time. You are nothing."
"Jeez. I'd tell ya to knock it off, but you already did that with my whole schtick!" The Mask pointed to his green head, laughing loudly. His arm stretched towards the Skull Kid in a mask, ready to slap them on the back. Without missing a beat, Majora slapped the hand away, which crashed to the ground and retracted back into place like measuring tape.
With a click of the fingers, Majora send The Mask flying into a stone pillar, smashing it to pieces. Still grinning, The Mask dug his feet into the grass and held a tight grip on the pillar. Holding it like a baseball bat, he held it behind his head. With less than a grunt, he swung, catching Majora in the stomach and blasting them away, a strong shockwave rocketing through the field.
Majora stopped themselves quickly, still floating in the air and seemingly unbothered by the hit. Only slightly confused, The Mask followed up by throwing the pillar like a javelin. It almost cut through the air as it flew, but Majora's face didn't change. All they did was hold up a hand, a ball of energy building up in the palm. Without effort, Majora flicked the ball of energy towards the pillar. When the two collided, energy fired out in every direction, reducing the pillar to dust and blowing everything around away in an instant.
The force washed over the Mask's body, squishing his nose against the rest of his face and pushing him through the grass, kicking it up and leaving tracks of dirt following his feet. As the force finally disappeared, The Mask gripped his nose and cracked it back into place, sighing slightly.
With a slight chuckle, The Mask reached into his pocket and pulled out a ballon, innocent and black. Holding up a finger in a clear sign for Majora to wait, he blew air into the balloon, inflating it. Even though it'd be the perfect time to counterattack...Majora didn't. They were amused. They wanted to see where it would go next.
"Hey, sonny. We got off on the wrong foot. I'll make it up to you. A ballon, shaped just for you!" The Mask told him, smiling ear to ear. He twisted the balloon, a look of...what seemed like excitement on his face? The Skull Kid wearing Majora's mask just waited, feeling the slight tinge of boredom.
"And...voila! What do we have?" He gasped, "A minigun!" Majora just stared at The Mask, emotionless. The man in a zoot suit reached behind his back, obviously searching for something. When The Mask pulled his hand back, he was holding a sharp pin. His smile was menacing, and as he popped the balloon, the rubber turned into a real minigun in his arms!
"Interesting."
"Agreed," The Mask replied, spinning the barrel of the gun. "Now, do me a favour and stay still, 'kay?" But Majora didn't listen. As the bullets rocketed out of the gun, they moved to the side as quick at they could. The Mask tried to follow them with the minigun, but Majora was just too fast. The bullets harmlessly flew into the sky, they whizzed past Majora, but nothing landed. The cartoon villain's brow furrowed in minor frustration, but was quickly replaced with a smile.
Stretching his arm out, he followed Majora, snatching the air, trying to grab hold of the evil Skull Kid.
"Pathetic." Majora smugly informed The Mask, snapping their fingers. The minigun rumbled in the violent cartoon's hands. With a sparkle, the gun turned into a Deku Scrub, harmless, and sad. Angry, The Mask's now free hand grew to an enormous size, and crushed the Deku Scrub under its palm.
"Boys and girls of the audience, cover your eyes," He waited a few seconds. "Shit." Majora scoffed, snapping their fingers once more. With mild shock, The Mask watched his tie rise into the air, dragging him with it.
"You mask fear with feigned delight."
"Heh heh! Wow! You got me. Here, have a look at my face right now, see if there's any fear." And with a grunt, The Mask tore his own head off his neck, surprising the mask wearing Skull Kid. With a giggle, The Mask's headless body threw his head like a bowling ball. It rolled through the grass, almost camoflagued in green. The Mask's head rolled to a stop below Majora, who landed on the ground to inspect it.
"Sssssssssss..." The Mask began, smiling evilly. As Majora leaned closer, the head combusted before their eyes! It erupted in a cloud of hot, fiery gas, firing a shockwave through the field. The Mask's headless body doubled over and slammed his fists into the ground, in a position that very clearly indicated laughter.
The blast threw Majora into the air, pushing him backwards. It wasn't painful, per se, but Majora still didn't expect the blast or its powers. They landed on the ground, letting out a sigh, before looking up. A flash of yellow interrupted his field of vision. It stretched past their eyes and reacting quickly, Majora jumped into the air to evade whatever it was. The Mask's two fists crashed into each other, sending throbbing pain through them. travelling up his arms and throughout his whole body. The headless body jumped, obviously in immense pain. A sound, much like an explosion erupted from the two fists when they collided, it wouldn't have been pleasant for Majora to experience.
As the arms retracted, they reached into the suit The Mask wore, and pulled out a green head, winking towards Majora, a mischevious wink on his face. The arms screwed the head back onto its neck, and the man burst into a fit of raucous laughter, taunting laughter. Majora held out an outsretched hand, before clenching it closed tightly. With a noise similar to a fart, The Mask's arms deflated like an old balloon.
"Wuh-oh." He commented simply, looking back up at the evil Skull Kid. That's when The Mask had an idea. Twisting his torso, The Mask flung his useless arms in Majora's direction, using the momentum of his own body. The hands whooshed through the air, slapping Majora in the side of the head with a 'smack!' that nearly caused his eardrums to burst.
With speed so blindingly fast it looked like teleportation, even to The Mask, Majora flew centimetres from the man in a zoot suit's face. Almost lazily, Majora drew their arm back and slapped The Mask right back, except this time, the blast was so strong the pressure caused by the smack uprooted the grass in a circle around them, kilometres wide. Blades of grass flew into the sky like a green hurricane, the dirt following suit, until Majora and The mask stood in the middle of a crater. If no-one had known better, they'd have assumed a meteor struck the place thousands of years ago.
The smack dazed The Mask, his eyes spinning around and stars circling his head. Now finally frustrated, he tried to swing his arms to slap the evil Skull Kid again, but they caught the arm with no trouble and yanked on it, ripping it free of the socket and pulling The Mask closer. Blood erupted from his shoulder, but he felt no pain. Majora caught the Mask by grabbing his head, and with immense force, buried his face in the dirt.
Another shockwave deepened the crater, enough so that the water stored under Termina's surface leaked out, dampening the sides of the crater slightly. Without giving The Mask a chance to recover, the Skull Kid stomped on his head, burying it further in the ground and crushing it under the force.
This joker keeps avoiding everything I do! I make the jokes around here!
As Majora stepped backwards, The Mask stumbled to his feet. Stunned, he put his thumb in his mouth and blew, inflating his arms and head back to normal with a 'pop!'
"Give me a sec," He told Majora, turning his back to the evil figure and rimmaging through his suit. "This guy beats Cloud Strife...and now you!" He warned Majora, pulling a green hat over his head. "Damn tights...how does the kid do this? Ah, screw it." With a sigh, he spun around quickly, the wind gathering around his body. He spun faster and faster, becoming a blur, and then a green tornado.
Inside the tornado, The Mask was laughing. As the tornado slowed and The Mask became visible again, he sported a green tunic, the green hat, blonde hair, brown boots and tight, white pants. He held a magical sword in one hand and an indestructible shield in the other.
"It's party time!" He announced, snickering.
"You rely on cheap magic tricks to win. You're weak. You haven't a clue on what real sorcery is." Majora informed The Mask, who winked and drew his left arm backwards, sword switched out for a boomerang. With a mighty grunt, The Mask threw the boomerang, which sliced through the air as it flew towards the evil Skull Kid, who did nothing except hold up a finger.
As the boomerang got within striking distance, it stopped. Inches from Majora's face, the boomerang froze. Their finger, held up as the boomerang was thrown, pointed towards The Mask. As if responding to his thoughts, the boomerang flung right back towards The Mask, smacking him in the nose and sending him stumbling backwards.
"Ow! Now, that's cheat-Oh wait, I'm supposed to be silent." Grinning, The Mask jumped towards Majora, holding the shield close to his chest and the sword up high. He swung the sword downwards, Majora narrowly avoiding it. But The Mask was prepared. He slammed the shield into Majora's face and caught off-guard, they couldn't defend against it.
With a taunting laugh, The Mask plunged the sword into Majora's chest and kicked them into the ground, returning back to his iconic look in the blink of an eye. Majora collapsed to the ground, sword protruding out of their chest.
"You were good kid, real good. But when I'm around, you'll always be second best, see?"
"A puppet without the strings is worse than useless. You cut my strings. This puppet's role has just ended..." And with an aura of intimidation, Majora left the Skull Kid's injured body, rising high into the air. The Mask's cigar drooped with surprise, but he was undeterred.
"Isn't that bad for you, then?"
"On the contrary. You've freed me, and now...you can see my true power." And with that, hair-like tendrils sprouted from the mask, ready to attack. The cartoon psycho cracked his nuckles against his palm in a display of smugness. Almost like a feather, Majora's Mask dropped to the floor, and spun. Like a Beyblade, the tendrils whipped around, a blur even to The Mask. Majora's Mask flew towards The Mask, tendrils slicing through the air.
"Woah, woah woah! Hold on," Majora paused. "You can do that too?" And with a laugh, he twisted himself into a light green tornado. "Ninjago!" He had yelled.
The two spinning entities clashed against each other, both attacks blasting the two across the field. Majora came to a slow stop, while The Mask's tornado uprooted the ground, small sparks flying up from the ground as he spun. As Majora started to spin once more, The Mask let out a small groan.
"He won't quit. Hehehhehe, get ready, you guys reading this battle. It's about to get wil-GAH!" Faster than the speed of light itself, Majora rocketed towards the Mask. Their speed was so great that the tendrils became like dangerous blades. As the tendrils landed, it split The Mask in half, blood spilling out of both halves of his body, almost like a flood of red.
The two halves of The Mask flopped to the ground, almost comically. Satisfied, Majora stopped spinning around and rose into the air, inspecting the damage. His eyes were lifeless, dead. As the blood stopped flowing...The Mask's eyes opened. Shocking Majora, the two halves of his body crawled closer, until they reconnected with a sickening squelch.
"Gotta do better than that!"
"Fine." Replicating the previous attack, Majora spun at the speed of light. However, this time, they didn't stop slicing. The Mask was sliced into halves, then quarters, then eights. Repeatedly sliced into tiny pieces, his laugh echoing through the grass.
"Good enough?" Majora asked, almost proud of their accomplishment. But what he n ' t k n o w w s...

What the-?! Did he-?
"Surprised?" The Mask laughed, reforming in an instant. "Hey, like what I did up there?"
"Who are you talking to...?"
"You wouldn't get it. Let's finish this, ha ha ha!" He challenged Majora, hands on his hips. Jumping forwards, The Mask pulled out the Master Sword and held it up high, his eyes had a shadow of green in them as he swung. The sword sliced into Majora's side, but they responded by shooting a laser. Faster than he could comprehend, The Mask was blasted apart, pieces of his body flying in every direction.
But as The Mask reformed within an instant, the blow from the sword finally took an effect, knocking Majora to the floor. With a grunt, The Mask pulled a nuclear bomb out of his pocket and gently placed it on the ground next to the evil mask. Holding a finger to his mouth, he shushed Majora and pulled out a match.
Sucking in a deep breath, The Mask burped over the match, lighting it on fire. "Pardon me, ma'am." He looked down at Majora, before flicking the match on the bomb and speeding away, screaming. The match tip tapped the nuke...
KA-BOOOOOM!
The force of the explosion still nearly forced The Mask off his feet. Fighting to stay upright, The Mask was blinded by a wave of dust flying into his eyes. Because he was blinded, The Mask didn't see a ball of energy flying towards his face until it was too late. The energy crashed into his head, reforming it...reshaping it. Into something...handsome. Almost like a handsome squid of some kind.
"Ahh, my face! My beautiful face-!" He screamed, pulling out a mirror and examining himself. "Oh. Oh...Oh, behave!" Majora giggled, running circles around The Mask, afterimages following them as they ran. They fired another energy ball, which, again, crashed into The Mask's head, transforming it back to normal. Smoke billowed out of his ears and a whistle ran throughout the field, as his head turned red.
But he stopped. Majora's Incarnation wasn't...fighting. It was sliding backwards in an unmistakable moonwalk. Taunting. The Mask wasn't phased by the continuous taunting, as instead, he twisted around and wore a white getup. He was clearly impersonating Elvis Presley.
As the Incarnation stopped, The Mask turned to them with a trademark grin.
"Thank you, thank you very much," He said, imitating the Rock & Roll King. The energy bolts came flying towards him, but he dodged them with surprising ease. "Huh! Huh! Huh!"
Majora's Inarnation stopped firing energy, and began to dance again, the man with a green face following suit. He spun towards Majora's Incarnation and grabbed them by the hand, twirling them around. As they stopped, The Mask was forced to dodge a swing of Majora's arms.
"You don't know how to have fun, huh?" The man in a green head asked the incarnation, hand on his chin. With a giggle, the incarnation winded their arms up, and volleyed tens of energy balls in The Mask's direction. With a smile, The Mask opened his mouth wide. As wide as a truck, maybe more, eating the energy like a delicious sundae. As he closed his mouth, his face returned to normal, cheeks stuffed with energy.
Sucking in a deep breath, The Mask puckered his lips, and blew. A beam of green energy blasted out of his mouth. With a twitch that looked like surprise, the incarnation transformed their body right back to the mask form, and fired a red laser to meet the green. The two lasers clashed together, locked in a struggle that neither won. The force was building up around them, energy pulsed like water and splashed over the two combatants, washing the land and stripping it bare.
Neither beam ended up overpowering the other. The energy became too powerful for the lasers to handle, and they combusted. Not in an explosion, but with enough pressure to force even Majora backwards. Both fighters flew through the field, The Mask screaming, Majora was silent, but clearly fighting against the pressure. Any green in the environment was gone, layers of vegetation stripped backwards, revealing the brown backdrop they stood on.
"...Woah," The Mask took a look around. His red eyes ate up the new sights, and deep inside of him, the host felt...a hint of...something human. Something human! "Shut up..." He told it, hands clenching slightly.
Majora observed the seemingly internal battle he was having...but it was unlike a personal dilemma. It was literally an internal battle. If he was fighting with someone...someone underneath?
The Mask slapped himself with a growl and twisted around to face Majora, jaw dropping to the ground in an instant. This...thing...it was bulky, spikes on the shoulders, with the signature mask plastered over the torso. The creature was wielding two long whips.
"Hee hee...Tick tock...time's running out. Count your seconds." The creature informed him. This thing had an insatiable bloodlust. A wrath. Majora's Wrath.
"You underestimate my power!" He referenced, pulling a blue glowstick out of his pocket. Snickering, he threw the glowstick to the side. "I'll give you five bucks if you drink tha-"
WHAP!
"Oooooh, shit!" As the whip cracked against his cheek, The Mask stumbled backwards, his head spinning on his neck. He stopped it with his hands and spun it the right way around. Smiling, he pulled out a whip of his own and placed a brown fedora on his head.
"Ugly monsters...I hate ugly monsters..." He cracked the whip on the ground, looking up at Majora's Wrath with determination. The two opponents struck with their whips, attack clashing against attack. The whips wrapped around eachother, binding them together tightly. With a mighty tug, Majora ripped the whip free from The Mask's grip, throwing him to the ground.
Not wasting any time, Majora's Wrath wrapped the whip around his head, and ripped it free with little effort. An unmistakable, evil joy in his movements, they slammed The Mask's head onto the ground, eradicating it in an instant. While his body stumbled around, blind, Majora's Wrath pulled out a spiked top and lobbed it up high. With a comical whistle, it buried itself in The Mask's body and detonated.
The blast barely affected Majora, but the same couldn't be said for The Mask. What was left of him was only a bloody, severed hand, but Majora was cautious to dismiss it. Indeed, within seconds, the hand held itself up on two fingers, simulating a man. The Mask's hand slammed a finger into the ground, almost like the man made from two fingers was standing its ground. But that wasn't it. Blood exploded out of the wrist.
But the blood didn't spill. In fact, the blood shaped itself into the shape of a man, before, in the blink of an eye, The Mask was back, and better than ever.
"Old chum, I'm afraid to say that exploding or whipping me will do nothing. Heh heh!"
"Is that so? Well, I'll have to try something different! Hee hee...tick tock..."
"Huh?" He asked, confused. Majora wasn't stumped at all! In fact, they seemed...happy?! But when it took effect, The Mask knew why. Almost as if the world glitched, The Mask flickered. For a quarter of a second, faster than a blink, the host underneath The Mask appeared, holding the mask in his hands like he'd never seen it before. But it was only for a fraction of a second, as The Mask reappeared, but he wasn't trying to fight anymore.
He stared down at his hands, stumped. What had just-
The host reappeared. The Mask flickered back. He shook his head, looking down at his body with terror. Genuine terror, for the first time since it had been worn. The host reappeared, but he stayed, for a second. enough time to look back up to Majora, before The Mask came back.
"What's-Agh!" The host reappeared, letting out a yelp, "Happening-to me?!" He screamed, falling onto his knees with a cry. Time was distorting around him, bringing someone from the past to take over the present. Someone who donned the mask before the fight began. Someone without the mask.
"Like I said...I can corrupt time." The Mask gaped up at him, the host replacing him for another second. They...they were warning The Mask this whole time!
"Stop!" The intervals between changes became faster and faster. The host and The Mask constantly replaced each other, being ripped through time, back and forth. It was if every atom in his body was being pulled apart. "STOP IT! NOOOOOO!" He pleaded, voice distorting along with the time around him.
"STOOOOOOOOOOP!" Majora's Wrath reformed back to the mask form, and charged up a laser, waiting for the perfect time. "PLEASE! NOOOOOOO!"
"This puppet's strings..." And they released the laser. The beam crashed through not The Mask, but the host underneath, destroying him instantly, frying every organ in his body. The Mask, the cartoony, goofy Mask had returned. Enough to stop and stare up at Majora, his outline blurred, almost as if he was a faint memory. He let out a distorted sigh.
"Fuck you." And with that, The Mask was no more. He faded out of existence with a final scream, leaving the mask, the Mask of Loki lying on the ground, almost harmlessly.
"...Are cut." The tendrils reached over to the mask and grabbed it by the side. Snapping it in half almost lazily. With a scoff, Majora tossed the broken mask to the side.
K.O!
Conclusion[]
Kaiya: Woah! That's a new one!
Counter: Indeed. The Mask may have been a tricky opponent for anyone to deal with, due in large part to his toonforce, but Majora was perfectly capable and had the tools they needed to take the cartoony killer down.
Damien: Sit tight, everyone! There's a lot to cover. Now, let's start with Attack Potency. Majora is a threat to Termina, the size of a universe, and can destroy or influence it in a number of ways. Comparing the size of Termina to our own observable universe, Majora would need 4 duovigintillion joules of energy to do so. That is a 4 followed by SIXTY-NINE zeroes!
Kaiya: Heh heh. Nice.
Hannah: And while The Mask and Lobo created a massive explosion worth 322 teratons of TNT. Well, if we completely highball this into saying that this blast would be enough to destroy an entire large country, this still only comes out to over 3 septillion joules of energy. This means that Majora is over one, get this, quattuordecillion times stronger than The Mask (1257924900000000000000000000000000000000000000x stronger). That is just a ridiculous number.
Counter: It gets even worse. Since The Mask was in the epicentre of the explosion and was fine, and Majora scales to Link, who could shrug off attacks from them, it's fair to say that both of their attack potencies are comparable to their durability. For Majora, this is backed up by the bad ending of Majora's Mask, where it's implied that Majora survived Termina's destruction. This can only mean that not only is Majora over one quatturodecillion times stronger, he's one quatturodecillion times tougher, too.
Kaiya: And also one quatt-Uh, yeah, that big number times stronger than The Mask's best durability feat. Majora couldn't just harm The Mask, they could obliterate him!
Damien: And speed isn't a contest either. Majora's lasers do move at light speed, and do have light properties. Since Majora, again, scales to Link, who can outpace and react to said laser, it's safe to say that Majora is alos faster than light. But, for the sake of argument, let's just say Majora, at maximum, can only move at light speed.
Hannah: Reasonable. But this means, with The Mask's speed of over Mach 28,000, that Majora is also 31 times faster than The Mask. He can dodge anything The Mask can throw at them and hit all of their own attacks. It's doubtful to say that The Mask could even land a single meaningful blow.
Counter: But here we get to the complicated question. With The Mask's unbelievable toonforce powers, could Majora actually finish the job?
Kaiya: Well, to be blunt, yeah. Nothing states that Majora actually has to be in Termina to corrupt space and time, only that they did it with the mask's influence. This means that Majora can control the battlefield anyway they want, and The Mask would be helpless. Remember, The Mask's toonforce only works on himself and not the world around him, which, ironically, kind of screws him over here.
Damien: Why? Well, because The Mask can only influence his own body, he can't resist or break out of any sealing abilities Majora can use. If Majora tried to seal The Mask away, he couldn't resist it. Even then, his fourth wall awareness only goes as far as a wink and nod to the audience, so it wouldn't help him too much here.
Hannah: But since The Mask never really seems to get tired, couldn't he just outlast Majora? A valid question, but no, he couldn't. The Mask and Majora, ironically enough, only have feats of stamina that reach up to three days. Rick went on a rampage for that long, and Majora pulled the moon down for that long. It's not a very solid argument for the win.
Counter: And even if The Mask could construct a bomb that would be big enough to destroy multiple universes, it'd take him down with it. Toonforce is overpowered, but it doesn't grant them limitless durability, that's a blatant No Limits Fallacy. Every character, eventually, has a limit to how much punishment they can take. Unfortunately for the Mask, Majora's own power completely outclassed that.
Kaiya: And The Mask being affected by a Lobo-patented guilt bomb means that he's vulnerable to mental attacks like that, and funnily enough, Majora corrupts and takes over the mind of an individual. The Mask couldn't really stop it, with Majora's highly superior stats, and the guilt bomb means he is suseptible to that sort of mental attack, succumbing to the will of Majora and losing that way.
Damien: And, if The Mask hasn't been shown defending against certain hax like Sealing, Space-Time Corruption and those previous mental attacks, it's kind of dumb to assume he can, just because of his toonforce.
Hannah: Simply put, Majora had all the tools they needed to nab a victory, while The Mask sadly fell victim to their overwhelming might, blazing speeds, and intense durability tipped the scales.
Kaiya: There's no way to mask the facts, The Mask ran out of time.
Counter: The winner is Majora's Mask.
