MegaSonic: The heroes of the future often have to shoulder a big responsibility, to take over the duty of protecting the world from those who preceded them.
Sharaku: Luckily for these two, they learned from the best of the best how to step up and take charge.
MegaSonic: Silver the Hedgehog, Sega’s time traveling psychic Hedgehog.
Sharaku: Axl, Capcom’s shapeshifting rookie Maverick Hunter.
MegaSonic: He’s Sharaku Jr. and I’m MegaSonicZX.
Sharaku: And it’s our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a DEATH BATTLE!
Silver[]
MegaSonic: Two hundred years from now, on a parallel version of Earth quite distant from our own, the world is in ruins, reduced to flames and ashes by a monster named Iblis. The world had long since given up hope for a better tomorrow. The only one left still fighting was a Hedgehog named Silver.
Sharaku: Joined alongside his long-time pyrokinetic friend Blaze the Cat, they battled against the forces of darkness for years on end, with seemingly no real way of fixing everything that had happened to their time. However, a golden opportunity would soon present itself. A mysterious individual named Mephiles would tell Silver about the Iblis Trigger, the being which would end up causing the devastation that had happened to their future. Its name… was Sonic the Hedgehog. Wait, what…?!
MegaSonic: Despite how obvious it may be to us that Sonic didn’t destroy the world, Silver didn’t really have a reason to not believe Mephiles. And so, Silver and Blaze resolved to change the fate of their future by returning to the past to defeat the Iblis Trigger. Yeah, he’s basically Future Trunks, but let’s be real, that’s a pretty frickin’ cool source of inspiration. I mean, Trunks is a top 5 Dragon Ball character, and Silver’s a top 5 Sonic character, so I think he took the right notes from his Saiyan inspiration.
Sharaku: After arriving in the past, Silver found himself separated from Blaze and ran into a familiar pink hedgehog, Amy Rose, who briefly mistook Silver for Sonic. Although small, this encounter would change the course of Silver’s mission. After actually managing to find Sonic and initiating a boss battle that can soft-lock you six ways from Sunday, Silver managed to catch Sonic off-guard and nearly killed him.
MegaSonic: And how exactly was he able to perform such a feat? With psychokinesis! This ability, unique to Silver, grants the hedgehog total psychic control over himself and his surroundings. He can lift and levitate objects with telekinesis, form energy shields, throw sharp psychic blades, create pulses of psychic energy, and of course, his most legendary and infamous technique…abusing bad game collisions.
Insert several clips from Sonic 06 of Silver repeatedly saying “It’s No Use” as he infinitely throws Sonic into a wall.
MegaSonic: …yeah, Sonic never stood a chance. Thankfully for the spikey blue bastard, Amy managed to talk some sense into Silver, and get him to wonder if killing someone to save the world was really the right thing to do. Though a quick reunion with Blaze and Mephiles would one again spurn the hunt for Sonic. Thankfully though, Silver had the speed to cover ground, as while he may not be as fast as Sonic, Silver is still rather quick on his feet, and even faster with his powerful Dash Boost and Psychic Flight.
Sharaku: These powers helped out a ton when he got into another scuffle with the Blue Blur, who was busy chasing after Elise. Ambushing him, he all of a sudden got ambushed himself by Shadow the Hedgehog, where Silver suffered the greatest roundhouse kick in history. Though, it would be this encounter that would teach Silver about Chaos Control, a powerful technique performed by harnessing Chaos Energy, allowing the user to temporarily freeze time itself.
MegaSonic: That’s just scratching the surface of it. Chaos Control allows its user to completely warp time and space itself. Time stopping and teleportation are the most well known uses of Chaos Control, but it can also be used to travel through time, traverse to and from entirely separate dimensions, and even warp the reality of the world itself, such as when Eggman brought the Seven Chaos Emeralds together in Sonic Advance 3 and used a Chaos Control to throw the world out of whack. That’s why that game was kind of weird in terms of stage themes, if you ever wanted to know.
Sharaku: Unlike Sonic CD, where the level designs feel like a Sega CD and Crystal Pepsi fueled drug trip, though to be fair I think that’s what they were going for. Either way, Silver’s got power and speed to back himself up. Shadow would end up taking Silver into the past to view the Solaris Experiment, that way Silver could have a proper understanding about the origin point of Iblis and a particularly powerful being known as Solaris, which the experiment was named after. After understanding in full that this was the cause, Silver decided to make amends, and traveled back to the future (get it?) to help Sonic out.
MegaSonic: The two Hedgehog’s ended up splitting up again though, while Sonic went a few hours into the past to save Elise, Silver and Blaze returned to the future for one final battle with Iblis. Silver, taking a page from the Solaris Experiment, tried to seal Iblis within himself. Unfortunately, this wasn’t really possible, and instead Blaze made the sacrifice to save the world. At a cost, the day had been saved, but Silver had lost his closest friend…until Iblis was released in the past anyways, allowing Solaris to be formed, who just completely consumed all of time and space.
Sharaku: Only way out was to strike at Solaris itself from multiple points across time, as the giant deity was transcending the timeline. To attack, Sonic, Shadow and Silver all harnessed the powers of the Chaos Emeralds, transforming into their Super Forms, and through their combined might, they were able to destroy the sun god once and for all. Though, while this sounds well and good, it basically undid all of the events within Sonic 2006 as a story. And while that means all the bad shit like Elise and Eggman fucking exploding, Sonic getting impaled by a blue laser, Blaze becoming Iblis’s seal for all eternity and time itself being erased got undone, that means all of the good that Silver did end up being wiped away as well.
MegaSonic: So, we return to 200 years in the future…it’s a burning fucking wasteland again, this time because Eggman Nega released a monster called Ifrit onto the world. So, Silver once again came back in time to help stop it, but this time it didn’t require erasing all his new friendships to do so, and he didn’t accidentally try to kill Sonic to do so, so hey, that was a plus. After this, Silver would make a habit of going back and forth through time to help Sonic and Pals, like when he joined the resistance after the Eggman Empire took over the world.
Sharaku: Or like in the IDW Comics, where the Earth got flooded with a particularly bad case of robo-COVID. Yeah, everyone was getting transmuted into near-mindless metal drones due to the efforts of Doctor Starline, an evil platypus with the intellect to match Doctor Eggman in some regards. You can find more about him whenever Krohnen VS Surge comes out!
MegaSonic: It didn’t help that some of the world’s heavy hitters like Shadow had gotten infected, and Starline had just given free control of the Zombots to the Deadly Six. So, in a last ditch effort to save the world, Silver got to once again bring together the Seven Chaos Emeralds and become SUPER SILVER, for the first time in fifteen freaking years! As Super Silver, Silver’s natural abilities are bolstered by the Emerald’s power, allowing him to freely fly without the use of his psychic powers, making his Chaos Powers stronger, and granting him nigh-invulnerability. Plus, he gains an awesome new ability called the Shield of Light, which can reflect energy projectiles and throw them back at their senders with several times more power added on. Super Silver’s psychokinesis even becomes so powerful that he was able to absorb the Metal Virus from across the entirety of Earth in under a minute, and then funnel it straight into the sun! Only downside is, Super forms burn a crazy amount of energy to use, and Silver can typically only sustain the form for a few minutes without stopping to collect additional power rings.
Sharaku: Though, let’s take a quick step back and remember that Silver on his own is absurdly powerful in his own right. In just his base form, he was able to deflect a direct attack from the Eclipse Cannon at 0.5% of its full power. A casual reminder that even though that sounds pretty miniscule, the thing could destroy massive chunks of the Moon. Man, that’s uh… that’s gotta fuck up the tides, no? I think Earth would be just totally flooded at that point, Zelda Wind Waker style.
MegaSonic: Silver’s also, as we prior mentioned, managed to match base form Sonic. One of Sonic’s most impressive feats was defeating Infinite, who as his full power could create a literal Sun. Heck, Silver’s even though Infinite as well, further lending credence to Silver scaling to this. Not to mention, Silver being able to keep up with Sonic means he can react and fight at insanely high speeds.
Sharaku: Like when Sonic moved alongside and in tandem with Eggman Nega’s spaceship flying through outer space, reacting to meteors and impacting the ship itself. Judging by how fast the stars flew by as well as the distance crossed in total lightyears, we can deduce he was moving over 560 million times faster than the speed of light. Safe to say that the speed of sound is basically nothing to this guy anymore.
MegaSonic: And in Super Silver he can scale to Super Sonic, who flew 3.16 Quadrillion times faster than light into another dimension. You may be asking “Well gee guys, if Silver’s so insanely powerful, how does he lose? And that’s a valid question. While Silver is really strong, he’s also pretty naive and tends not to go all out in some cases, or sometimes just makes a mistake when he really didn’t know any better. Plus, Silver’s psychokinesis is tied into his stamina, and if he pushes himself too hard, he may find himself unable to keep fighting when he tires out.
Sharaku: Though, in truth, that’s what makes Silver a real hero. To keep fighting until you can’t fight anymore for the sake of the ones you love? Sounds pretty noble in my opinion. Those who threaten the safety of his future, beware. Silver the Hedgehog will descend from the ruins of his time and make sure he eliminates everything malicious, whether they like it or not.
Silver: “I'm going to change the future with my own hands!”

Sharaku: The year is 21XX. The legendary Maverick Hunter, Mega Man X… had decided enough was enough. Fighting, bloodshed, to hell with them. He gave up all his weapons and decided to fight against oppression through peace. And uh… yeah, already I can tell something doesn’t sound right here.
MegaSonic: In the wake of X’s horrible case of character assassination, a new vigilante group had risen up the ranks to start fighting Mavericks known as Red Alert. They were reckless, destructive, dangerous, but efficient. And their youngest, yet strongest member, was the newbie known only as Axl. A Reploid with no known origin, Axl’s history remains a mystery. What we do know is he was apparently a prototype for a new generation of Reploids, but was for some reason left to rot until he was found by Red, the leader of Red Alert…yeah. Yeah I’m serious here.
Sharaku: Can’t imagine why you’d just leave a perfectly good baby out. I say baby and I kind of mean it. Axl has the thought process of a goldfish on crack. He’s also absurdly powerful, so yeah, he’s like what’d happen if you gave a ten year old all the candy in the world and access to high-grade military weaponry. Axl has the ability to scan and copy the physical data of any machine he sees with his unique Copy Chip. At first, that sort of sounds exactly like Mega Man X’s own ability, but Axl can take it a step further by actually transforming directly into the beings he can scan. Though, it should be noted that we have never seen Axl copy a directly organic being.
MegaSonic: Still, given Axl’s fighting exclusively against other Reploids, that’s not much of a problem for him. His standard weapons are the Axl Bullets, twin handguns that can rapid-fire energy pellets not unlike that of X’s buster. Plus, unlike X and Zero, Axl’s built in jet boots allow for more than just short ranger danshing, but even full on flight for a brief period of time. Take that you fuckin’ spikes, try to one hit kill me now!
Sharaku: His powers weren’t unnoticed by the Maverick Hunters, and after a very long fight that basically amounted to two parents fighting over custody of a child, Axl would end up leaving Red Alert and joining the likes of X and Zero. Not before he was arrested by Zero first, though. While he was taken back for questioning in regards to his association with Red Alert and a destructive incident on Central Highway, I like to think he was secretly smuggling some drugs. No reason as to why.
MegaSonic: That was when Red Alert challenged the Maverick Hunters to a duel across the globe, with Axl as the prize. Feeling guilty about the destruction that would be caused by such an event, Axl joined the forces with Zero to fight the now Maverick Red Alert, and the crimson swordsmen quickly helped sharpen Axl in a natural Maverick Hunter. X even came around on him after being a real stick in the mud for a while, so I guess he got over that character assassination. Now a fully fledged Maverick Hunter, Axl put his Copy Chip to good use defending the world in the best way possible; with lots and lots of firearms!
Sharaku: Just like any Mega Man protagonist, Axl is capable of absorbing the powers of fallen Mavericks and using them on his own. Some of these even upgrade Axl’s normal attacks on their own when equipped. The G-Launcher fires powerful large blasts of solar energy from his handguns, but it’s shorter ranged and lacks rapid-fire motions. Ray Gun fires straight lasers that are slightly slower than Axl’s normal shots, but are far stronger. And Double Bullet allows Axl to lock onto two targets at once. May sound basic, but that’s nothing compared to his other extensive abilities.
MegaSonic: Like his plasma gun, or his gatling gun that shoots shards of crystallized ice, or the grenades he fires from the Blaster Launcher? Or how about his literal fucking flamethrower! Axl’s got not only some conventional heavy weaponry, but also more tricker ones like the Bound Blaster, which fires bullets capable of bouncing off surfaces, or the Spiral Magnum, which has bullets that can pierce any defense. Then there’s the Black Arrow, which fires shots that can bend around and home in on targets. Where does he keep all these you may ask? Best guess is he’s probably creating them all with his Copy Chip.
Sharaku: Axl’s got a variety of specific special abilities to use as well. Volt Tornado is exactly what it sounds, and can hit enemies high up in the sky with powerful currents. Sniper Missile is a heat seeking and homing attack that explodes on impact. The Gaea Shield is a stone protector that’s immune to bullets and the… Explosion is also exactly what it sounds like.
MegaSonic: Unlike his replicated firearms, Axl’s special weapons are directly confirmed to come from his Copy Chip’s ability to replicate Reploid DNA, though in their case Axl can only replicate their abilities. When he uses his Copy Sot however, Axl fully shapeshifts into the targeted Reploid with A-Trans, taking on all their traits and abilities to the fullest extent. This is the same ability used by Model A in the Mega Man ZX series, although unlike X and Zero, Axl did not become a biomental. Capcom just gaslighted us.
Sharaku: Maybe he actually is, but he’s just lying. Wouldn’t be the first time he’s pulled a fast one on us. But that is weird, huh? Model A looks like Axl, has some of the same abilities as Axl… but for whatever reason, just… isn’t? Odd story choice…
MegaSonic: But you know what Axl can do that Model A can’t? He can transform into an even more powerful form that boosts the duration of his A-Trans, plus doubles his speed and grants him unlimited flight! He becomes White Axl! …hold on, when did Axl learn Ultra Instinct?
Sharaku: Uh, I think you mean Axl Blanco.
MegaSonic: I hate you. I hate that you’re right about that.
Sharaku: White Axl is an incredibly powerful form. It allows Axl to use the A-Trans almost indefinitely and can hover while firing his blasters. It’s implied he gained this form after his fight on the moon. It also kinda looks like Lumine, the big bad of X8, with its color scheme. But hey, it’s been fuckin’ years since X8 and I don’t think we’re gonna get much of an answer.
MegaSonic: Hey, at least we know he survived long enough to fight in the Elf Wars. Though uh, odds of him surviving that are slim, unless he really is lying to us and is Model A. But the odds of Capcom telling us that are about as slim as Legends 3 ever happening.
Sharaku: And now, it is my turn to hate that you’re probably right about that. But in terms of stuff that Axl actually HAS done, we’ve got quite a bit to go off of, despite him only having two mainline appearances. For one, he’d obviously scale above Classic Mega Man to a huge degree, and he’s capable of some crazy stuff, like keeping up with intergalactic police robots like Duo, or taking on ancient robot gods like Sunstar, who’s capable of destroying planets!
MegaSonic: Though, Reploids like the General could do the same thing while heavily damaged. At their peak though, Reploids like Lumine and Sigma could create and control pocket dimensions and even create whole-ass stars. And that’s not even getting into how fast Axl is, since he can attack so fast that beams of light appear frozen, which would require movement and reaction speeds equating upwards of 4 million times the speed of light. Adding on the speed boost from White Axl, Axl would have to be capable of moving 18 billion times the speed of light.
Sharaku: While this is incredibly powerful, the Mega Man Zero era has a few more powerful feats. Notably, Omega created Cyberspace, which encompasses a good chunk of space. But here’s the thing, Axl doesn’t exactly show up in the Zero series. We get a shot of him in the Archie Comics during the Elf Wars, the big cataclysmic event that takes place before the Zero series, but nothing in terms of actual presence. Which is a bit disappointing, not only from a story perspective but from a versus one as well, as we can’t exactly scale him to these sorts of feats without actually knowing what went down during the Wars. Of course, there’s the ultimate pipe dream that X9 covers the Elf Wars, but alas, Capcom only seems to want to do gacha with the X series at the moment.
MegaSonic: And no, we aren’t using Command Mission and X DiVe for Axl. Command Mission is blatantly non-canon timeline while X DiVe’s story is a meta narrative that doesn’t even have the character’s in it, just data representations of them. But even with his fate left ambiguous, Axl will keep on fighting the good fight wherever it may be. Whether he died on the moon or fought in the Elf Wars, this prototype reploid definitely proved he’s more than just some B-Rank Hunter, but a certified hero like the Mega Man who came both before and after him.
Axl: “Just the thought of wiping the floor with those Mavericks makes my trigger finger itch!"

Sharaku: Alright the combatants are set, let’s end this debate once and for all.
MegaSonic: It’s time for a DEATH BATTLE!!!!
Death Battle[]
//Abel City - 21XX\\
A flash of light shines over the sky as Silver the Hedgehog lands down in Abel City. The hedgehog looks around as the futuristic cars drive by, and he floats into the air before taking off flying down the highway.
Silver: No time to waste. I have to find the one who caused the most destruction in the Elf Wars. I have to find Omega.
Flying off via his telekinesis, Silver surveyed the landscape of high-tech buildings and highways crossing the skies. Vehicles of all sorts floated through the air. Silver looked in awe as a gigantic holographic billboard lit up, displaying a news broadcast of a certain blue android’s recent rescue mission to the Antarctic. And standing right next to him in most of the footage was a red-armor-clad robot with long blond hair, carrying a laser sword with a bright green blade. Instantly, Silver’s eyes narrowed and his expression became much more serious. Was that what the records in the future were describing? After all, there wouldn’t be that many red sword-wielding warriors with untold power out there in this day and age.
Silver: Easier than I expected… But where exactly are you, Omega?
As if on cue, an explosion suddenly rang out behind him, prompting Silver to turn around and look towards the Central Highway, where a cloud of smoke was rising in the distance.
Silver: That must be him. I have to do this now.
And in a speedy flash of cyan light, Silver takes off across the city. At the Central Highway, the crimson red reploid slashed his way through another Mechaniloid, bisecting it with his saber before turning around.
Zero: Axl, you holding up alright?
The scene pans around to Axl, B-Rank Maverick, who fires his Axl Bullets to take out a few basic Sniper Joes with a few quick shots from his blasters before turning back and giving his partner a thumbs up.
Axl: Doing good Zero! Just make sure you keep your guard up!
Zero: I don’t think you should be telling me that!
Behind the two however, a cyan blast of light suddenly flew through the air and hit Zero dead on, sending the S-Ranked Maverick Hunter flying to the ground in a heap.
Axl: Zero!
Axl runs to Zero’s side, kneeling down before he looks back to see Silver floating over.
Silver: I’ve been looking for you, Omega. Your actions will condemn us all.
Axl stands back up, gripping his twin firearms in his hands as he glares as the Hedgehog raises his hands and lifts up a chunk of rubble with his psychic abilities.
Axl: Who are you!?
Silver: My name is Silver! For the future of our world, I will destroy him! Stand aside!
Axl: No way! You’re going down, you Maverick!
Running forwards, Axl leaped into the air, charging head on at Silver as the Hedgehog threw the massive chunk of rubble forwards.
Charging through the rock at full speed, Axl raised his Axl Bullets and opened fire on Silver, the Hedgehog suddenly dashing back and avoiding the shots by simply flying through the air. Activating his jet boosters to hover in place, Axl fired at Silver again, though again the Hedgehog dodged around the bullets.
Raising several cars off the road, Silver flung them forwards at Axl, forcing the Maverick Hunter to dodge to the side to avoid getting hit, only for yet another car to cash into Axl’s get and send him crashing back into the highway below.
Silver: Stay down. I don’t want to hurt you.
Axl: Yeah, but you sure seem ready to hurt my friend!
Silver: I have no other options! If I don’t destroy Omega now, the future would be in huge jeopardy!
Axl: Leave the future to us to figure out!
Raising the Blaster Launcher and aiming the barrel directly at Silver, Axl fired a grenade through the air that Silver caught with his psychic abilities just seconds before it hit him. However, just before Silver could contemplate throwing the grenade back, it exploded straight in his face, causing Silver to go flying back and land on the highway road below him.
Standing back up on his two feet, Axl raised his Black Arrow gun and fired out a few homing shots, which Silver quickly recognized as he pushed himself back up as well.
Silver: That looks like a homing shot!
Jumping back, Silver grabbed a piece of rubble with his psychokinesis and thrusted it forwards, using it to block the black arrow before spinning it around and throwing it at Axl, who quickly dashed under it and took out the Spiral Magnum to take aim at the psychic hedgehog, firing at him. Silver raised another piece of debris to block the spiral magnum’s shot, but the bullet instead pierced through the defense Silver had grabbed and hit the hedgehog square in the face, causing him to stumble back in pain and break his concentracion.
Axl: How’s that, huh?!
Silver: Why don’t you try this on for size?!
Silver stretched his hands outward, and the ground beneath the two of them erupted as the concrete road shattered and rose into the air, throwing off Axl’s balance on the ground as Silver began to float. Axl quickly hovered with his jets, but this would soon prove difficult as Silver then threw several chunks of the street at Axl, who began to maneuver his way through them difficulty, shooting the rubble into pieces with his blasters. Not deterred, Silver used this facet to his advantage as the smaller and smaller pieces created by the concrete breaking apart from Axl’s shots became even more ammunition for Silver to use, and Axl all of a sudden found himself pelted with numerous smaller and sharper pieces.
Axl: That's the best you got?! Throwing rocks?
Silver: How about this!?
Raising his arms to the sky, Silver called together a bunch of debris from the Maverick Attack, including the defeated Mavericks themselves and even the Mechanoid Zero had cut down a moment ago, and compressed it all into a giant ball of rubble.
Silver: Meteor Smash!
Axl: …Oh, shit.
Forming the Gaea Shield to protect himself, Axl braced for the impact as the Meteor Smash came crashing down on the highway, causing it to collapse and cave in on itself, and the rubble and wreckage spilling out slightly into the surrounding area.
Silver floated down, looking around for any sight of Axl or Zero. Just as he was about to float away however, he saw something out of the corner of his eye. He looked over to see…a homing missile!? He quickly dodged to the side to avoid it, but the missile swerved back around to chase him. As he dodged, Silver glanced over to see Axl, who smirked as he fired another Sniper Missile out that he had locked on to Silver.
Axl: You’re making my trigger finger itch! Been a while since they’ve made such a weird lookin’ Reploid to fight us!
Silver: H-Hey!
Axl smirked as he whipped out the Ray Gun while Silver was busy dodging the Sniper Missiles, taking a few shots from it. Silver dodged the first few, but got hit by the third one, stunning him long enough to get hit by the two missiles and get sent flying back.
Axl: Alright, let’s end this quickly. Copying time!
Spinning his original gun in hand again, Axl charged up his Copy Shot, then locked his aim on Silver and fired the special shot…only for it to do nothing when it actually hit him.
Axl: What!? It didn’t work!?
Silver: I don’t know what you think I am, but it’s not funny!
Silver quickly casted out his Psychic Knives, sending the bladed energy flying towards Axl and causing him to dodge roll to the side to avoid getting hit. As Axl stood back up, he threw out his own sharpened blade, the Wind Cutter, to parry it against another Psychic Knife, the two bladed projectiles clashing and canceling each other out.
Running forwards, Axl gripped one of his hands into a fist to try and straight up punch Silver’s lights out, but seconds before his punch connected, a cyan aura had surrounded him and stopped him dead in his tracks.
Axl: I…can’t move!
Silver: It’s no use!
Thrusting his hands forwards, Silver threw Axl backwards into one of the highway support beams, causing it to topple over on top of him. The loud crash came down on him, and Silver gave a small sigh. He wouldn’t be bothered by him again.
Except, he would, as Axl crawled his way out of the crushing debris and readied the G-Launcher, firing its cannon shots at Silver that the Hedgehog had to raise his arms and form a shield to stop, but they still pushed him back even then.
Axl: You can’t keep a good Hunter down!
Marching forwards, Axl fired again to keep Silver pressured down, the G-Launcher’s shots kicking up dirt and rubble with every impact against Silver’s shield, which began to crack slightly. Axl fired again, and again, trying to keep Silver pinned to one location as he locked his aim in-
Axl: Jackpot.
-And fired Explosion out, the big blast of energy creating a massive, well, explosion that sent fire out into the surrounding area, Axl even having to raise his arm to cover his eyes from the smoke. As he lowered his arm, Axl glanced through the smoking ruins and grinned.
Axl: Not as tough as you thought you were, huh?
Suddenly though, a golden blast of energy nearly sent Axl flying off his feet, blasting the smoke away to reveal Super Silver, glowing a mighty golden glow as he locked eyes with Axl.
Super Silver: This ends here!
Axl: The hell-!?
In a blinding gold flash of light, Super Silver had suddenly appeared behind Axl, using his Psycho Smash to send Axl flying upwards into the sky and into the side of a skyscraper. Axl winced, then opened his eyes to see Super Silver flying up after him.
Axl: Fine, let’s do it your way!
Activating his White Axl form, the Maverick Hunter, launched forwards through the air and clashed with Super Silver, the two then flying past each other and darting through the sky over Abel City in streaks of White and Gold alike. Axl fired out rounds from his Ice Gatling gun, the shards of ice vaporizing against Super Silver’s aura, but giving Axl a chance to get out his Plasma Caster and fire out a blast of from, the plasma explosion managing to slightly stagger Super Silver and push him backwards.
Suddenly, Super Silver disappeared in a flash of light, activating Chaos Control and warping space, the golden Hedgehog flew through dimensions and first passed by a world where Sonic had blue arms, a scarf, and excessive amounts of sports tape, then by a world where Sonic had attained the form of Ultra Sonic used to battle a “Super Saiyan 4”, and then a blue haired princess fighting a red haired hero.
In another flash, Super Silver appeared out the other end of his Chaos Control behind White Axl, again using his Psycho Smash to send Axl launching through building and some crashing out the other end of them, just for him to fly into the air and fire the Bound Blaster, it’s shots ricocheting off buildings to attack Silver from all angels, only for the Super Hedgehog to grab all the various projectiles and send them flying back at Axl.
Quicking using the Gaea Shield to block all his reflected projectiles, Axl flew back slightly and dodged a blow from Super Silver before landing back down on a building rooftop.
Axl: This is going nowhere, I can’t keep up with him like this…time to change tactics.
Activating the Copy Chip’s full power, Axl shapeshifted into Ultimate Armor X and took off into the sky again, glowing golden as he activated the Nova Strike and slammed straight into Super Silver, charging him straight through a skyscraper and blasting him back with the plasma shot. Axl charged up the X-Buster again, but Silver was able to recover and fly back up to grab Axl and stop him with a sudden homing attack.
Axl, however, was prepared for that, and dashed behind Silver as he shapeshifted again.
Axl: You wanted Zero!? YOU GOT HIM!!!!
Silver spun around and gasped as Axl shapeshifted into Zero, raising the Z-Saber to the sky as its blade extended out and pulsed with energy.
Axl: GENMU ZERO!!!!
Super Silver: CHAOS CONTROL!!!!
The power Axl’s replicated Z-Saber and the Chaos Emeralds clashed, Silver attempting to induce a time stop, but under the pressure of the attack he was unable to do so properly. Instead the resulting energy fissure tensed up and exploded in the two fighters faces, causing them both to go flying to the ground, kicking up rubble as they landed.
Axl glitched out of his White Axl form, his A-Trans wearing off. He stood back up, one of his legs damaged, forcing him to stand on one knee instead. He gasped slightly, bloody oil dripping from cuts in his body as he summoned the G-Launcher and rested it on his good knee to take aim.
Silver stood up next, clutching his shoulder as his Super form faded away and he returned to his base form. He noticed Axl across from him, then raised his hand to activate his Psychokinesis. The cyan aura flickered to life, and he clutched his hand, causing him to suddenly crush Axl’s right arm.
Axl yelled out in pain as his arm crushed, he reeled over and his eyes widened as they locked on Silver, who stood back onto his two feet and instead shifted his psychic control over to the G-Launcher.
Silver: This will end it!
The weapon suddenly started glowing with an unstable aura, and Axl could only watch in shock as the G-Launcher exploded straight in his face, the explosion amped up by Silver’s psychic abilities to be stronger than before, completely tearing through Axl’s body and shredding it to pieces.
Smoke and ashes filled the area as the shattered, broken, and sparking remains of Axl began littering the area. Silver kneeled over, taking a moment to really catch his breath. He’d done it, he’d destroyed both Omega and the one defending the Devil Reploid. And yet, he felt like he couldn’t be sure the future would be safe.
And so, he stood back up, took out a Chaos Emerald, and departed from that point in time with Chaos Control, the battle he had just fought etched into his memory.

Conclusion[]
MegaSonic: When Silver tells you “It’s no use”, you should probably listen to him.
Sharaku: While Axl was an incredible foe, Silver simply had everything he needed in his toolkit to completely deal with the Maverick Hunter. Though, admittedly that isn’t clear when you just look at their base forms. With just their base power, Axl exceeded him in strength by a good margin with his showdowns with Lumine and Sigma. Though, Silver did have a decent speed advantage on him. A classic case of strength versus speed.
MegaSonic: So while Axl was more than capable of dealing a killing blow to base form Silver, it wasn’t going to come easy. Silver’s psychic abilities were overall more versatile, as he’d be able to manhandle most of Axl’s firearms. This, combined with his greater speed, gave Silver more than enough time to bust out his Super Form, which was less a game-changer and more a solidifier in this case. Sure, White Axl could move over 18 billion times light speed, but that was nothing compared to Super Sonic’s 3 Quadrillion times lightspeed trip to The Exception. Super Silver was more than fast enough to utterly blitz White Axl, both in speed, and raw power.
Sharaku: As stated before, Axl wouldn’t really be able to scale to the Mega Man Zero feats of Omega creating Cyberspace. We absolutely do not know where Axl was during the Elf Wars or if he even fought Omega face-to-face, and as such we can’t significantly say that he’d be able to perform a Multi-Solar System level feat like Zero is. Though, even if we gave Axl the full benefit of the doubt and said he would be able to scale, Super Silver as well as Super forms in general have faced down far stronger foes than Axl has. Notably, Solaris, who threatened all of space and time and eats entire dimensions like it’s just another Wednesday Brunch. Axl had absolutely nothing in his arsenal that let him counter that. And on another note, Axl wouldn’t be able to boost himself to Super Silver’s level. Not only does his scanning via his Copy Chip not copy the actual statistics of the machines he copies, he can’t scan anything organic, or at least we have no reason to believe he’d be able to do something like that.
MegaSonic: And sure, Super Silver runs on a limited duration, but with a power and speed gap this massive, he’d be more than able to crush Axl long before that ever becomes an issue. Even if Axl did outlast his super form though, Axl had no way out countering Silver’s use of Chaos Control. Stopping time, traveling through space and dimensions, Silver to reliably avoid and evade any attack Axl threw his way using Chaos Control. Heck, he could even just travel through time and give Axl the haha-funny “Time Huh” treatment if he really wanted to, except this time it’d feel less dumb because it’s coming from a character commonly associated with Time Travel. Seriously, how Axl could stop Silver from paradoxing him out of existence?
Sharaku: It’s a bit sad, but unfortunately for the guy, Axl didn’t really have any solid ways of coming out on top in the end. He was outdone in strength, speed and enough hax for Silver to take the victory. I’d make a pun at the end here, but eh, it’s no use anyways. Silver kinda just ran out the time Axl had left. Wait, shit-
MegaSonic: The Winner is Silver the Hedgehog.
Sharaku: Did I do that subconsciously?!
