She-Ra vs. Zacian is the second episode of KitsuneSoldier's Season 1. It features She-Ra from She-Ra and the Princesses of Power and Zacian from Pokémon Sword and Shield.
Description[]
Princesses of Power vs. Pokémon! The sister swordswomen of powerful warriors, guardians of Etheria and the Galar region who are heroes and powerhouses in their own right, are about to cross blades!
Interlude[]
Kit: She-Ra, the Princess of Power.
Surge: Zacian, the Warrior Pokémon.
Kit: A fighting warrior with incredible strength, chosen guardian of his homeland, and armed with a legendary magical weapon. What should evil fear even more than this hero?
Surge: HIS SISTER!... Reminds me of us, if we were good guys.
Kit: Yes. For this fight, we will be using the version of She-Ra from the Netflix reboot, partially because that's what we're familiar with, but also partially because the classic She-Ra's feats vastly outclass Zacian's, owing to her show being a more fantastical cartoon while the reboot follows a plot and is more grounded.
Surge: You know, the Moon-orbit-kick and all that. On Zacian's side, as per usual handling of a Pokémon in a Death Battle, we will be using a wild one at Level 100, with only her naturally learned moves.
Kit: So no TMs, no EV training, and no items other than the Rusted Sword that lets her assume her armor. However, we will also be including Zacian's feats from the Pokémon anime. And we won't be scaling her to other Legendary Pokémon from Dynamax Adventures, because that would mean her feats vastly outclassing She-Ra's.
Surge: He's Kitsunami and I'm Surge!
Kit: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle!
She-Ra Honors Grayskull in Death Battle![]
Kit: Long ago, the planet Etheria was a magical world with a heart of its own, inhabited by many different races of people and animals who used mystical powers and arts in their daily lives, connected to the planet. The world's magic was harnessed by powerful artifacts called Runestones, and each one selected a bearer to harness its power and rule over some of its people: a Princess. However, for when the normal Princesses weren't enough to protect the planet, with each generation, a new warrior was selected to wield the true power of Etheria's magic as the planet's guardian, the Princess of Power: She-Ra.
Surge: But everything changed when the residents of Etheria's sister planet, Eternia, arrived on the world. They seemed to be there only to study its magic, but in fact desired to use this power for conquest. So, they hijacked the power of She-Ra, creating the Sword of Protection to control her magic and allow an Eternian to become her. That brings back bad memories.
Kit: In truth, they were using She-Ra as a key to their ultimate project: the Heart of Etheria, which essentially harnessed the energy of the Runestones into a planet-busting explosion. Eventually, one She-Ra, Mara, realized the truth, and refused to be used as a weapon.
Surge: Using all of her power as She-Ra, Mara sacrificed herself to seal the entire planet in the empty dimension of Despondos. Before it could be done, the other Eternians abandoned the planet, leaving their technology and civilization as ruins. In modern times, they would come to be known as the First Ones, with many people studying their history and culture.
Kit: It all changed once more when an alien named Hordak, who had somehow ended up in Despondos, organized a massive evil army called the Horde, who challenged all of Etheria. One of them, who had been found as a baby and "adopted" by Hordak, was named Adora, and - spoilers - she was in fact a First One. Conditioned to be a soldier her whole life alongside her friends, Adora grew up believing the Princesses to be out-of-control monsters who subjugated the people of Etheria. But it all changed when she and her "best friend" Catra -
Surge: Remember her, she's important -
Kit: Riiiiight... skipped class to take a skiff joyride into the treacherous Whispering Woods, where Adora found... the Sword of Protection. Soon afterward encountering Bow and Princess Glimmer of the Horde's opposition, the Rebellion, Adora realized that maybe she had been wrong about everything. She accepted a new destiny, and raising the Sword to the sky with a cry of:
Adora: FOR THE HONOR OF GRAYSKULL!
Surge: She became the first She-Ra in a thousand years, and joined the Rebellion to save the world from the Horde - including a not-too-pleased Catra. Gee, I wonder why she was so upset... hint hint...
Kit: Hrrgh. Fortunately, She-Ra's power granted the already formidable Adora more than enough ability to take on her former allies.
Surge: As She-Ra, she's fast enough to dodge various kinds of laser blasts, and agile enough to leap between asteroids in an asteroid field. She was able to react to fast attacks from various opponents, blocking lightning fired by Scorpia and dodging physical strikes from the super-dexterous Catra. According to Adora herself, she's tested the She-Ra outfit's boots on snow, ice and mud, and she can run faster, jump higher and kick harder with them on. In fact, she's even dodged lasers and Scorpia's lightning as plain old Adora! Peak human my ass.
Kit: Her durability is also incredible. She was slammed by a giant monster Elemental hard enough to smash through a stone wall, and she was fine. She was caught in the middle of a giant EKS robot exploding (EKS stands for Emily's Kid Sister, watch the show for context...) and she was unaffected. And she can survive without issue in the vacuum of space, hence the asteroid feat. However, she was knocked unconscious by a point-blank shot from a Horde tank, which should approximately show her limit.
Surge: But what really stands out among She-Ra's physical feats is her super strength! She can easily shatter stone or dig her fingers into it, dent the armor of tanks, punch through a large metal door, lift large alder trees, overpower all three Star Siblings without being transformed, and knock Horde soldiers out in a single blow. In her first transformation, she grabbed a large Horde robot by the leg, spinning and throwing it with one hand! We may not have the calculation skills Wiz and Boomstick have, but that's got to be at least a ton!
Kit: She-Ra was also tough enough to fight equally with Scorpia, the muscle of the Horde, and, most impressively of all, shatter her own Sword of Protection, which is basically her own personal Runestone, when the Heart of Etheria was reactivated and trying to use her as its key. This took away Adora's powers for a while... but she eventually realized that She-Ra wasn't the sword - She-Ra was her. Thus, she managed to conjure her own version of the sword through willpower -
Surge: Or the power of love -
Kit: And evolve into a new version of She-Ra. That's why she has two different designs. The one with the wing crests is the First One's controlled version, the one with the ponytail is Adora's own version. Anyway, the Sword of Protection is of course She-Ra's main weapon, and the new version seems to have all the same powers as the old. In conjunction with She-Ra's innate strength, it can cut through large metal robots and spaceships, tear a huge chasm out when stabbed into the ground, and clear a gigantic wall of fallen rocks.
Surge: But the sword can do much more than just slashing. As a sword, it can release various magical projections, including spaceship-destroying energy slashes, binding ropes of light, and an energy platform in space. It possesses strong healing powers, able to heal the wounds of others, save a poisoned Runestone, and even rebuild destroyed structures like Salineas' Sea Gate barrier and a First Ones watchtower that had been reduced to rubble. When used as a power source, the sword can even open a portal... an unstable one that rewrote and nearly destroyed all of reality.
Kit: WHICH WAS CATRA'S FAULT, BY THE WAY!
Surge: Whatever. Fortunately, Adora found the sword again and used it to close the portal and restore the original universe.
Kit: However, the weapon's true strength is its transformation abilities. The sword can shapeshift into various weapons and objects, including a shield that can block blasts from Horde tanks, a rope that could temporarily bind the superhuman Scorpia, a spear that could slice Horde robots to pieces, a Batman-style grappling gun... and several modes that would not serve any purpose in combat, like a cup. However, the sword can only become one object at a time, so she can't attack and defend at once with it.
Surge: In spite of that, it can also transform OTHER things! An accidental blast from the sword hitting a random horse gave rise to She-Ra's loyal steed, Swift Wind -
Kit: Whose presence, though it strengthens She-Ra, is outside help; thus, he will not be appearing in this Death Battle.
Surge: Well enough, he's annoying as shit. Anyway, the sword can also hack even First Ones tech, such as changing the password to open an Eternian force field. Even without the sword, She-Ra has powerful magic of her own. She's able to alter her own outfit, forming additional armor for protection, as seen in the Battle of Bright Moon. Merely Adora transforming into her was enough to fuse a collapsing tunnel together, and dispel dark magic cast by Micah, who's basically the most powerful wizard on Etheria. And in the finale, she purged the consciousness of Horde Prime, the real villain of the entire series, from Hordak's body, killing him for good.
Kit: She-Ra's might is incredible. However, she's far from perfect. First of all, if Adora's mind isn't focused, or if she has a lot of doubt, she can't transform. And while she was made to be an expert tactician and military leader as part of her Horde training, she's actually... kind of a dumbass. As the series progressed, she became less and less strategic and more reliant on instincts. She's frequently tricked by the plans of Catra and others, even when her allies aren't.
Surge: Another flaw of her personality is her savior complex. Ever since she got her powers, she's firmly believed in her "destiny," taken responsibility for the protection of Etheria, and been more than willing to throw herself into danger. It wasn't until Adora learned that the First Ones were evil and she was merely being used to power a weapon that she finally became free to make her own choices... and she still chose to dedicate herself to saving the universe. It took Catra's intervention, and finally a beyond-the-grave chat with Adora's predecessor Mara, to make her realize she was worth more than what she gave to others. She deserved love too.
Kit: Grr. In spite of her flaws, all of Adora and She-Ra's power has kept her going through all of her struggles. In season 1, she rescued Glimmer and Bow from the Horde's base in the Fright Zone, and together with the Princesses of Etheria they defeated an all-out attack on the Rebellion base in Bright Moon, while their Runestones were weakened. In season 3, she saved all of reality from CATRA opening that all-destroying unstable portal. In season 4, she stopped the Heart of Etheria from destroying the entire universe by sacrificing her own powers. And in the final season, with her friends behind her, she toppled the universal tyrant Horde Prime, saving the universe once again, while also restoring Etheria's true magic.
Surge: And most importantly, in that final season, Adora finally found the love she deserved when she and Catra finally realized they liked each other.
Kit: *inhales deeply* WHICH IS TOTAL BULLSHIT, CONSIDERING CATRA NEVER DID ANYTHING BUT ABUSE HER AND TRY TO GET HER ALL TO HERSELF EVEN AFTER HER SO-CALLED REDEMPTION, NOT TO MENTION THE IMPLICATIONS OF INCE -
Surge: LET THE GAYS HAVE THIS, ON TO ZACIAN'S ANALYSIS, WOOPWOOPWOOPWOOPWOOP!
Zacian Guards Galar in Death Battle![]
Kit: Grr...
Surge: Feeling better?
Kit: Yeah...
Surge: You gonna introduce Combatant 2?
Kit: Yes. *ahem*
Kit: Three thousand years ago, beneath the Galar region, something awakened. An alien Pokémon that had crashed to Earth in a meteor even longer ago, twenty thousand years, Eternatus was dying in its sleep, and in an attempt to revive, it tried to absorb all of Galar's energy. A red light fell from the sky above its resting place, followed by a black storm that covered the region. Pokémon exposed to the storm's energy grew giant and some even changed forms: the first of their kind to Dynamax and Gigantamax. However, they could not control the energy, and their berserk rampage threatened the entire region. This event came to be known as the Darkest Day.
Surge: Watching these horrific events unfold were a young couple -
Kit: Two young men -
Surge: I know what I said. Desiring to stop the conflict, the couple were contacted by a force of good: two extremely powerful Pokémon, Heroes of Many Battles, who granted them a magical sword and shield. Together, the four challenged Eternatus, and managed to defeat it, putting an end to the Darkest Day. Afterwards, the whole region in debt to their heroics, the two youths were crowned as the kings of Galar, got married, and lived happily ever after together.
Kit: Surge, corresponding to both the two Pokémon and their descendants Sordward and Shielbert, the heroes were clearly -
Surge: NOTHING IN THE GAME SAYS THEY WERE BROTHERS, DRIPPY. LET ME HAVE THIS.
Kit: Sigh... After fighting many more battles and accumulating many wounds, the two Warrior Pokémon retired to their home in the hidden Slumbering Weald, becoming statues and entering a long slumber. Their sword and shield would also be put to rest, waiting for new heroes to wield them. Their alliance with the two kings and their battle against Eternatus would become Galar's most iconic legend, although many details would be lost until the modern day. The world believed there had been a single hero, and his sword and shield were simply that, not the artifacts of Legendary Pokémon.
Surge: But then, with the help of a select few Pokémon Trainers, the historian Sonia Magnolia began to figure out the truth... and then foolish Chairman Rose thought "Hey, since the energy of Dynamax remains in Galar to this day, and there's supposed to be an energy crisis in A THOUSAND YEARS, LET'S WAKE ETERNATUS UP AND START ANOTHER DARKEST DAY!"
Kit: When things inevitably went wrong, Victor, Gloria and Hop looked to the Slumbering Weald for salvation, and soon facing Eternatus with the legendary Rusted Sword and Shield, they recreated the legend and called forth the two Warrior Pokémon: the younger brother, Zamazenta...
Surge: And the elder sister, Zacian!
Kit: When unarmed, Zacian appears as a battle-scarred Fairy-type Pokémon, her Hero of Many Battles form. However, upon taking up the Rusted Sword which she wielded all those years ago, she absorbs metal particles from the earth, repairing her sword to its former glory and creating armor for herself. This changes her into Crowned Sword form, which adds the Steel-type to her, increases her Attack and Speed stats, and allows her to achieve her true power.
Surge: Zacian's combination of stats and abilities, scaled to others, prove her as one of the most powerful Pokémon around. By comparing her base stats to other Legendary and Mythical Pokémon, we're able to get a grasp on her power. With 148 base Speed, she's faster than Zeraora, who can travel as fast as a lightning strike. She also has the highest base Speed stat of any Fairy- or Steel-type Pokémon.
Kit: In Zacian's Pokédex entry, it's said that when wielding her sword, she can slash an opponent faster than the blinking eye, and those hit won't feel pain until they're already fallen on the ground. Her agility is said to make her so graceful that her movements in battle are like a dance, leaving her opponents captivated.
Surge: And on top of that, Zacian can fly, fast enough to travel halfway across Galar, from the Slumbering Weald to Hammerlocke, in seconds. IN HER BASE FORM, WHERE SHE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE WINGS.
Kit: Zacian's durability against physical moves is equal to Duraludon's, who has exceptionally hard cells even for a Steel-type, and can resist earthquakes while Gigantamaxed. Her defense against special moves exceeds that of Snorlax's thick fat, and as anyone who's fought Red in Pokemon Gold and Silver knows, attacking Snorlax is like hitting a brick wall. In fact, Zacian's defenses are equal to her brother Zamazenta's, albeit without his shield. And when it comes to Pokémon types, her two typings grant her a plethora of resistances. She takes half damage from Normal, Flying, Rock, Bug, Grass, Psychic, Ice, Dark, AND Fairy-type moves, and Poison- and Dragon-type moves do not effect her at all!
Surge: But Zacian's greatest strength is her physical Attack stat of 170. This stat exceeds those of most Legendary Pokémon, including Groudon, who can raise continents from the ocean, and Regigigas, who once towed a continent with ropes! Her Attack is the highest of any Steel-type, which means she can hit harder than Melmetal, who is said to throw the strongest punches of any Pokémon.
Kit: And that means Melmetal can punch harder than the likes of Machamp, who can move a mountain with one hand! BUT ON TOP OF THAT, Zacian's Ability, Intrepid Sword, raises her Attack by one at the beginning of every battle - increasing her physical power by half! With this massive power, Zacian is said to be able to cut anything down with one slash -
Surge: ONE SLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH!
Kit: And her sword can shred even the scales of Dragon-type Pokémon like paper. These feats earned her the title of "Fairy King's Sword" from allies and enemies alike. However, Zacian wouldn't be able to put her incredible strength to use without some powerful moves to channel it through. Her most basic attacks include the steel-hard Metal Claw, and Quick Attack, which, while a weak Normal-type attack, always hits first.
Surge: But when she gets serious, she brings out the big guns. Her two most used attacks are Fighting-type moves: Close Combat, a barrage of physical blows which deals massive damage but lowers her defenses from getting up close, and Sacred Sword, a slash with her sword which, while not as powerful, ignores boosts to the target's defenses. She can deal Dark-type biting damage with Crunch, and massive Normal-type damage with the charging Giga Impact, although the latter requires her to take a turn to recharge. Finally, she can take advantage of Same-Type Attack Bonus with Moonblast, a powerful Fairy-type energy attack using the light of the Moon. However, this move uses her Special Attack stat, which compared to her other stats, is nothing to write home about.
Kit: Zacian even has some non-attack moves that come in handy. Quick Guard protects her and her allies from moves that strike first, Laser Focus makes her next attack a guaranteed critical hit, and Swords Dance further boosts her already massive Attack stat.
Surge: But Zacian's ultimate technique is by far her signature move, Behemoth Blade! An evolution of the move Iron Head, this Steel-type attack has the wings on her back detach, reattach to the end of her sword to increase its size, and be used to slash the opponent to KINGDOM COME! The attack doubles in power, from 100 to 200, when used against a giant foe such as a Dynamax Pokémon.
Kit: Behemoth Blade is said to exert such great cutting power that the force given off by it can cut the ocean in two! And together with Zamazenta's Behemoth Bash, when used to finish Eternamax Eternatus, this attack created two massive spheres of energy the size of several buildings.
Surge: Even without using moves, Zacian has a few special abilities of her own. Even while asleep and sealed, she is able to create illusions, even a perfect replica of her Hero of Many Battles form, which moves do not work on. She or her illusion can also generate a fog that gets thicker and thicker, and eventually causes anyone in it to fall asleep. In addition, she can create a powerful energy barrier dome strong enough to block attacks from the kaiju-sized Eternamax Eternatus. And when together with Zamazenta, she can negate certain abilities of opponents, namely Eternatus' move-cancelling powers and Dynamax-inducing aura.
Kit: Defeating Eternatus twice was impressive, but after being caught by either Victor, Gloria or Hop, depending on the player's game version and selected gender, Zacian would go on to be used by her Trainer in the Champion Cup and Galarian Star Tournament, pitting her against Pokémon raised by the strongest Trainers in Galar, including her own brother Zamazenta, and Gigantamax mons such as Lapras, Urshifu, and Leon's "unbeatable" Charizard.
Surge: In spite of her raw power... Zacian isn't invincible. She does have a couple of type weaknesses: Ground- and Fire-type moves, which many Pokémon carry for coverage. Without her brother, as shown in Pokémon Shield, she proved to be susceptible to an overload of Dynamax energy and would have gone on a berserk rampage herself had Zamazenta not intervened. In addition, with Death Battle only using her naturally learned moves, Zacian's not nearly as versatile as she could be under a Trainer. Her only STAB Fairy-type attack is Moonblast, which runs off her lowest stat, Special Attack. And she doesn't have access to some of her most recognized coverage moves, such as Psychic Fangs.
Kit: But even when hindered by these facts, it doesn't change Zacian's power and potential. Whether waiting in the Slumbering Weald or wielded by a Trainer, the guardian of the Galar region has easily proved herself as one of the strongest Pokémon there is.
Pre-Fight[]
Kit: All right, the combatants are set, and we've run the data through all possibilities.
Surge: IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTLE!
DEATH BATTLE![]
Deep in the south of the Galar region, beyond the humble town of Postwick, lay a dark forest called the Slumbering Weald. It was a land of deep fog, flowing streams, fallen trees, and most of all, powerful Pokémon. However, forgotten to time, the woods held a secret. At the center of the woods was a large stone shrine, upon which an ancient sword and shield rested. Beyond this shrine, across the pool that surrounded it, lay the resting place of the bearers of the weapons, who had slumbered for generations. Once, the peace had been disturbed and they had been called upon to fight in the modern era, but eventually, their allies chose to once again let them rest until they were needed.
But one of them wasn’t fully asleep, and wasn’t getting the chance to.
In the middle of the river, the smaller of two stones shuddered. Within the stone body, a consciousness had become aware of something. A new presence was entering its territory. Something unusual. Something… alien. And she knew that this would not stand.
Elsewhere in the depths of the woods, that “something” was landing. A spaceship, composed of three large polygonal diamonds, the two smaller side ones serving as its wings, and a cockpit at the top. It touched down, levitating just above the ground.
“I’ll go ahead while you get things ready,” a female voice declared. “Check the woods for threats, maybe eventually go to the town and make first contact.”
“Sounds good,” observed a deeper, more boyish, but still feminine voice. “Be careful out there.”
“Careful is my middle name.”
“I thought we agreed your middle name was Happysmile.”
The two voices laughed together while two others simply groaned.
“Yet another case of us being locked out of the loop,” a third feminine voice muttered.
“I’ll be right back,” the first voice assured.
Immediately after that assurance, the bay door at the bottom of the spacecraft opened up, and a metal ramp lowered. A figure stepped down the ramp, a young woman in her early twenties, wearing a lucky red jacket with distinct shoulder pads, and carrying a short extendable staff. This was Adora, who as far as she knew, was the last of the Eternians.
Immediately, she set off into the foggy woods. Her shoes occasionally splashed into mud, and there were a few fallen trees and boulders she would have to vault over, but for a trained soldier like herself, none of it was a problem. As Adora traveled, the sounds of life echoed around her, the girl oblivious to the existence of Pokémon, the creatures that inhabited this planet. She occasionally saw a Rookidee flutter past, or a Blipbug crawling under-foot, but they were just ordinary birds and grubs to her.
As she approached, the force at the shrine could finally see her as she approached the open. At first glance, the woman appeared to be just an ordinary Pokémon Trainer, much like the ones she herself had fought alongside for a time. However, there was something wrong about her. Something in the aura she gave off told the consciousness that she wasn’t normal. That she wasn’t... human?
Unsure what was coming to face her, the mind knew that this being had to be neutralized.
Finally, as the woods began to thin, Adora suddenly stumbled onto an open path of some sort, and lo and behold, there was a light nearby, indicating the exit to the forest. However, she wouldn’t leave yet. She had to let the rest of the Best Friends Squad know where the exit was, and she was also a bit curious about what lay down the path, which seemed to lead in the direction she was going anyway. She stepped through one patch of grass and then another, but suddenly, she stopped as an echoing howl, like that of a dog or wolf, pierced the forest.
“Hello?” Adora called out into the fog, but nothing replied. “Bow?”
Given the power she possessed, the girl had no need to be afraid, yet increased her walking speed anyway, quickly traversing a third patch of grass.
“Glimmer?”
As she continued, the fog around her thickened and thickened, until, as she had rounded a corner, she could barely see the ground in front of her... or behind her.
She looked around.
“Catra?”
And then, suddenly, the fog parted and a creature emerged right in front of Adora. It was a dog-like beast, blue and pink in color, with one ear torn. It narrowed its eyes and snarled at the honorary Princess, before letting out another howl that she could tell demanded that she leave these woods.
“AAA - Alright,” Adora initially started to panic, but quickly regained composure. “I know what this is. You’re like the Elementals.”
The girl reached out her hand, attempting to use her innate power to calm the entity as she had for many creatures back home.
“You’re the guardian of this forest, and want me and my friends to leave. If you let me by, we’ll get out of here -”
Exposed to a soft golden light, the wolf beast’s fur seemed to shine, but not much else occurred. With another piercing howl, it appeared to call the fog it had dispelled back onto the path, a thin veil of it obscuring Adora’s vision as she had attempted to take a path around. Turning to face the creature again, she clutched her staff, but in a moment, the effects of the fog hit her, as she began to feel unnaturally tired. Adora knew that if she fell unconscious here, nobody would ever find her body.
“I… I don’t want… to fight you... I know... I know your kind are... a part of nature...”
The wolf let out another cry, and the fog once again intensified, returning to the point where Adora could barely see. The exhaustion intensified, as Adora could barely make out the beast in the mist, and her eyes refused to stay open. She collapsed to one knee, barely supported by her staff, and seemed to go limp. The wolf approached to finish her off…
And her eyes erupted open, glowing brightly, as she raised up a hand, golden energy gathering.
“FOR THE HONOR OF GRAYSKULL!”
In a flash of bright light, the fog dissipated once more, this time completely. The wolf figure opened its mouth in shock, before suddenly, something slashed through its chest and neck, enough for a decapitation. Behind it, a figure landed: Adora, but taller, carrying a golden sword, and wearing a white and gold outfit that gave off the feeling of immense power. This was the Princess of Power: She-Ra.
“You left me no choice,” she flatly declared, before turning to look at her work.
However, what she saw surprised her. The wolf beast, rather than its head falling off to reveal internal organs or machinery, simply stood there, the area where it had been cut appearing to ripple, before suddenly, it dissipated into wisps of energy.
“It… wasn’t real...” She-Ra contemplated what she had just seen. “A ghost?”
The entity in the deepest part of the woods had made up its mind. Her illusions and fog had failed. She herself would have to take action.
From the pedestal on the shrine, the Rusted Sword levitated into the air, and gravitated into the river. It touched down on the smaller of the two boulders, and in a burst of blue light, the stone exploded, launching whatever was inside and the sword into the sky.
She-Ra, out on the path, saw the light streaking upwards in between the thick canopy of trees. She braced herself as she recognized that the arc of its flight was heading straight for her, believing it to be another ghost - or something worse.
Breaking through the cover of the trees, beyond the small stone bridge, an orb of blue light slammed into the ground in front of She-Ra, kicking up debris and shaking the ground beneath the princess’ feet. As it began to fade, the light ejected the Rusted Sword, which then merged back into it, expanding into a large dome of blue energy. Finally, the barrier dissipated to reveal its occupant: the same wolf monster, but wearing a golden armor and helmet, carrying a sword similar to She-Ra’s own… and most importantly, not just an illusion.
“Looks like you’re determined to fight me...” Adora took a deep breath, then sighed, before striking a fighting pose with her sword pointed at the armored creature. “So be it!”
With a determined look in her eyes, Zacian, the Warrior Pokémon, snarled at her aggressor. Having seen this woman’s actions, she recognized the fighting spirit within. This human, this… alien, may not be a Pokémon Trainer, but instead, she was a warrior in her own right.
For her invasion of Galar, Zacian would give her a warrior’s death.
