Wiz: What would you get if you combine those two traits? well...
Boomstick: Then you'd get Scizor, Pokémons red-clad mantis
Wiz: And Sektor, the Cyber Lin Kuei warrior of Mortal Kombat
Boomstick: He's Wiz, and I'm Boomstick
Wiz: And it's our job to find out who would win, A DEATH BATTLE!

Wiz: In the world of Pokémon, Pokémon can evolve through various methods
Boomstick: Be it through good ol' levelling up, using a cool rock, or trading them with your friends.
Wiz: And there's no better example of the latter, then Scizor, the pincer Pokémon.

Boomstick: Who's the scientist who names all these Pokémon and why can't he be my co-host instead of you, Wiz.
Wiz: Scizor is the result of trading a Scyther to someone while holding a metal coat, how a species evolves through being sent to another person is... beyond me...
Boomstick: C'mon Wiz, It's obviously just Nintendo trying to get people to buy the same game twice, they know we don't have friends.
Wiz: Well, in any case, Scizor, despite having an equal stat total to its predecessor, Scyther, is a force to be reckoned with, boasting high attack and defence, but sacrificing speed and flight when evolving from Scyther.
Boomstick: But who needs to be able to run away from an opponent when your a giant bug in steel armour!
Wiz: Well, not actually, Scizor's armour is actually only as hard as steel, stated in the Pokédex, the only true steel part of it are it's pincers
Boomstick: Said pincers are stated to be able to crush boulders with relative ease
Wiz: That's right Boomstick, although their pincers aren't always a a positive, they take up one third of Scizor's body weight, making them difficult to move around.
Boomstick: Plus, Scizors are really susceptible to heat, in fact, its wings are actually used to regulate its body temperature.
Wiz: This is reflected in the games with fire type moves doing 4 times the damage.
Boomstick: Thing is, fire is the only type it's weak to, making it a real threat.
Wiz: And that threat is only amplified with its Mega Evolution

Boomstick: When holding a Scizorite and with the power of friendship, Scizor gains the ability to mega evolve, increasing it's stats but not covering it's weaknesses.
Wiz: Although it's certainly much stronger, it's weakness to heat is increased, with it actually beginning to melt if in the form for too long, along with that, it's pincers become bigger and harder to use
Boomstick: Dang, Mega evolution is messed up, kinda weird that you need to be friends with a Pokémon to basically torture them, in any case, despite its weaknesses you have to admit that Scizor is one cool bug.
Sektor[]
Wiz: Earthrealm was under attack, being invaded by the tyrant Shao Kahn
Boomstick: And what do you do if a bunch of aliens-
Wiz: Not aliens-
Boomstick: Shut up, a bunch of ALIENS are invading?
Wiz: Apparently, make robot ninjas!
Boomstick: So that's what the Lin Kuei did, they cyberized some of their strongest warriors
Wiz: But only one person volunteered for this, His name? Sektor.

Boomstick: Ketchup wasn't the only one to be turned into a robot, there was also his buddy Mustard-
Wiz: Ketchup? Mustard? Boomstick, what're you talking about?
Boomstick: I thought you were the smart one here, how do you not see that Sektor is ketchup, Cyrax is mustard, Smoke is smokey barbeque, Tribot's like a Neapolitan of sauce, Frost is Mayo I guess, dunno about Sub-Zero or Hydro though.
Wiz: Shut up.
Boomstick: You just don-
Wiz: Moving on, unlike most other members of the Cyber Lin Kuei, Sektor was fine with becoming a soulless robot, meaning that anything left of his humanity slowly faded away...
Boomstick: Although he eventually became Grandmaster of the Lin Quei, he never was the same, and was eventually usurped and killed by fellow clan member, Sub-Zero
Wiz: He did later return due to, of course, time travel...
Boomstick: Oh god, can we PLEASE never talk about time travel again, it hurts my head man.
Wiz: Moving right along, Sektor was promised the revival of the Cyber Lin Kuei in a new timeline as long as he helped someone named Kronika achieve her goal and create said timeline
Boomstick: So he got the help fellow Lin Kuei members Bi-Han and a recently Cyborg'ed Frost to put the brains of dead Lin Kuei members into new robot bodies to create an army for Kronika.
Wiz: Although he did create the army and by extension, revival of the Cyber Lin Kuei, He was made to self destruct by Kronika to destroy a military base.
Boomstick: And as if things couldn't get worse for him, every Cyber Lin Kuei member was shut down upon the defeat for Frost, he couldn't even have that go well!
Wiz: That's right Boomstick, but why the off switch for the Lin Kuei was on the front lines I'll never get, but successful or not, Sektor is still a force to be reckoned with.
Intermission[]
Wiz: Alright the combatants are set, and we've run the data through all possibilities.
Boomstick: IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTLE!
DEATH BATTLE![]
The animation opens with Sektor in a forest, cleaving through hordes of Scyther as possibly a way to collect data to improve the skill of other Cyber Lin Kuei. Sektor is shown to not be taking any hits from the bugs, taking them all out with one shot but then from behind Sektor, a Scizor jumps out from the trees and lunges at Sektor
The Scizor would begin swinging its claws at Sektor who attempts to dodge the oncoming strikes, managing to evade most of them. However, the Cyborg is outpaced and eventually takes a big hit to the jaw from the Scizor.
Sektor then retaliates by kneeing the Scizor in the gut before throwing it into a tree, then shooting a rocket out of his chest towards the red-clad mantis who catches the rocket, then essentially dunking the rocket like a basketball, right into Sektors face. The partially singed Scizor looks on to the cloud of smoke that had just erupted around Sektor
Suddenly, Sektor jumps out of the smoke and slashes at the Scizor with his Pulse Blades, injuring the Scizor. In retaliation to this, The Scizor uses Iron Defence and buffs its defence, allowing it to partially tank Sektors attacks, giving the Scizor an opening to attack Sektor, using Metal Claw. Noticing this, Sektor uses his brief window of opportunity to teleport behind the Scizor and uppercut it into the air.
The Scizor is able to regain its footing and uses a barrage of Bullet Punches to get several good hits on Sektor who is just barely able to land a low kick, knocking the Scizor to the ground but before Sektor can follow this up with a stab with his blades, the Scizor rolls backward and uses Razor Wind to knock the blades out of Sektors hands.
Sektor in retaliation fires a rocket from his chest at the Scizor, who dodges it, which leaves it wide open for Sektor to attack, teleporting over to the Pokémon and hitting it with an uppercut before grabbing the Scizors leg in midair and slamming it into the ground then holding his arm forward to the Scizor, about to use his flamethrower. The Scizor is able to knock Sektors arm away, but not before being grazed by the flamethrower which does substantial damage.
The Scizor then hits Sektor in the chest with both of its claws to knock Sektor away, then jumping back to fire a Bug Buzz at Sektor, trying to gain some distance to avoid Sektors flamethrower. Sektor notices that the Scizor was particularly hurt by his flamethrower and attempts to teleport behind the Scizor. However, knowing Sektors strategy, Scizor is able to predict this and jumps backwards, using its wings to slice Sektor who fires a close range rocket, knocking the two away from each other.
The two then regain their footing, as Sektor teleports behind Scizor, who swings its claws backwards. But Sektor predicted this, and immediately teleports in front of Scizor, who then tries to attack Sektor, but he teleports again, repeatedly teleporting around Scizor. Being overwhelmed, uses Brutal Swing to hit around itself, hoping to hit Sektor, but this creates an opening, allowing Sektor to jump back and hit Scizor with a homing missile which curves downwards and crashes Scizor into the ground.
Sektor then fires his flamethrower directly in Scizors face who tries to jump back to avoid the flames, but Sektor teleports behind it, far enough away to not be in range of Scizors attacks yet close enough for his flamethrower to still hit Scizor. Knowing that it can't dodge the flamethrower, Scizor tries to block the fire with its arm, but the flames are too much and begin to melt away Scizors arm. Without being able to dodge or block the flames, Scizor is left with no other option other than to power through, as its surrounded by a rainbow orb as its eyes turn blue, its pincers grow and change colour and it gains more armour around its body. The Scizor had Mega Evolved.
The Scizor rushes through the flames as its body slowly melts as a combination of Sektors flamethrower and the excess energy of its Mega Evolution. It uses its only usable pincer to crush Sektors arm, along with his flamethrower, knowing that it only has a short amount of time before its Mega Evolution puts itself out of commission, Scizor instantly goes on the offensive, barraging Sektor with powerful bullet punches which significantly damages Sektors armour. Scizor then hits Sektor with a powerful uppercut sending him into the air, then repeatedly striking Sektor in a zigzag pattern while in midair before spiking him to the ground, then diving down and punching a hole straight through Sektors chest as they both crash into the ground, creating a massive explosion that eradicates Sektor
Scizor then returns to its normal form and collapses to the ground, and looks around at the forest around it, now up in flames.
Results[]
Boomstick: I uh, don't think that Scizor's going anywhere any time soon
Wiz: This fight was incredibly close...
Boomstick looks at Wiz, unimpressed
Wiz: No seriously, while onn paper, Scizor may seem faster, being able to keep up with Pokémon who are stated to be as fast as lightning, however these statements come from the Pokédex, which is known for saying some... Less than believable things
Boomstick: Not surprising considering that it's likely written by ten-year-olds, now you may think that Scizor being able to dodge the move Thunder would mean that it can dodge lightning, but that's not what Thunder actually is, its poor accuracy is due to it being a literal bolt of lightning
Wiz: On the other hand, Sektor is directly comparable to Kabal, who was able to slice a barrage of bullets, making him easily around mach 3
Boomstick: However, Scizor is able to react to Machamp, who's attack speed is around half that, meaning that the gap in speed isn't too wide
Wiz: Except that wouldn't really matter due to Scizors MASSIVE attack potency advantage due to scaling to the move Seismic toss, a move that displays power far beyond anything Sektor could output
Boomstick: And saying Scizor is stronger than that isn't a stretch in the slightest, friggin' baby Pokémon can learn that move, so uh, how this close again?
Wiz: Because of Sektor being able to very easily exploit Scizors main weakness, fire, most of his moves involve explosions and he could realistically pull them off as well, but unfortunately for him, Scizor was able to counter this with moves like detect, which would completely nullify the move, or Roost, which could fully heal Scizor
Boomstick: Welp, I guess compared to Scizor, their opponent was nothing but an inSekt... or
Wiz: The winner is Scizor.
